I thought I'd start straight away with the gift ideas

because it's the end of November and it's about time to start thinking about the gifts

I know it can be a stressfull task so I got you covered

as once again I selected some gift ideas for her and for him

today we'll focus on the gifts for her, but don't worry because on sunday

I'll share some ideas for him too

so stay tuned and watch both videos until the end because

I thought I'd give a gift to you through a little give away

even if to be honest there are quite a lot of beauty bits

because I love beauty related gifts

anyway I divided the gift ideas per price range

under 20 euro, between 20 and 50 euro and above 50 euro

now let's start with my first gift idea below 20 euro

and it's even below 10 euro, 9.61 euro and it's

an advent calendar

surprise surprise

I love advent calendars, I think they are a lovely gift to offer both

on December 1rst as it should be, but even as a Christmas gift

to keep the Christmas spirit on even after December 25th

with a new present everyday for the following days

I'm obsessed with advent calendars if you can't tell

and this is a cute non expensive one

I found it on Asos, I'll grab my notes otherwise I will never remember what's inside

it's by the brand MAD

and inside you get shampoo and conditioner, lip balm, bath salts, hand cream

sponge, nail files, basically a good selection of beauty products, all for the price of 9.61 euro.

Great, now let's move to my second gift idea, we're around 10 euro and on Amazon I found

these cute magnetic bookmarks in the shape of a music tape

for 10 euro you get 3 that you can use as stocking fillers for 3 different people

or gift them all to just one person

I love the idea of a magnetic bookmark that you can clip to the page

and the string makes it easy to find the page again

a simple yet cute idea for 10 euro

let's move on and always around 10/15 euro a smart gift idea are books

I selected 3 which are not going to be a surprise if you watched my past monthly favourites videos

because my favourite author of the moment is Alice Basso

and I think that her trilogy would be a lovely gift

the heroin of these books is Vani Sarca

a talented ghost writer, slightly antisocial, she kind of reminds Lisbeth Salander

but it's kind of hard to fully describe her, but she's a great character

created by Alice Basso, the books are crime novels with a twist

the style of writing is very ironic and fresh

perfect to offer as a gift to the women in your life, you can gift just the first one

or the whole trilogy

and you won't go wrong because at least as far as I'm concerned

as soon as I read the first one I immediately felt the urge to get the other 2

Again in the cathegory under 20 euro I selected

always from Asos, because as it often happens Asos has a great choice

I selected a battery charger in the shape of a unicorn

for the price of 15.53 euro, here it is

The portable battery charger in my opinion is a must have

I think I included it in my gift guide last year too

because when I'm out and about I use my phone a lot to take pictures, send whatsup messages, call, check my social networks,

and the battery dies when I need it the most

so a battery charger is essential especially when it looks like a unicorn

and the last gift idea

under 20 euro

is again from Asos and it's this bendable neon string

that you can use to create words

and decorate your room, I think it's super cute and it costs

if I look down is because I have my note there, otherwise

I wouldn't remember one price

it costs 15.53 just like the battery charger

and it's another cute gift idea

and those were the gift ideas under 20 euro

now let's move to the cathegory between 20 and 50 euro

As you will see this cathegory is mainly focused on beauty products

because I found some cute sets, perfect as gift ideas for her

let's start with the first one

20.71 euro, here it is, I found it on Asos

so a skin care trio for 20.71 euro, which is not bad

the next gift idea is different, we move from the beauty world to a project by a friend of mine, Chiara, who I met by chance one year ago

at a market and she told me about this project back then

Chiara designed some super cute characters related to the pastry world

and she finally managed to make her idea come true and she created a line of fabric accessories

tea towels, pillows ...

a bright lover rubber mask and a firm lover rubber mask

the rubber masks are usually very good and Dr Jart is a lovely brand in general

so it's the perfect gift for all the skincare enthusiasts

we're almost at the end of the cathegory between 20 and 50 euro

still in the beauty world I have selected this set of crackers

that I found on Asos, the brand is Cowshed

my notes are back

it's a set of 3 crackers containing an hand cream

and hydrating cream, a shower gel, again a hand cream and shower gel

lip balm, basically you get 2 products in each cracker, so it's like

a condensed version of the advent calendar

and I thought it was a cute gift idea

and still talking about advent calendars, I told you there were going to be more

I suggest you this one by L'Occitane, which is a lovely brand

and I have it here with me because I was lucky enough to get it as a birthday gift

as you can see inside you find the 24 windows, as it should be

and opening every window you'll find a L'Occitane product

all amazing and it smells heavenly

I'll read you some , shower gel

a lot of lovely products at the price of 49 euro

L'Occitane is a good brand and it's a perfect gift for the women in your life

and the cathegory between 20 and 50 euro is over too

now let's move to the cathegory above 50 euro

here we are in the cathegory with the more expensive gifts

an eyeshadow palette is always a good idea in my opinion

there are many amazing ones on the market, I selected one of my favourites

urban Decay Naked heat, which was released this year and which is amazing

and it also looks aesthetically pleasing, I already showed it in some other videos

it's all in warm shades and allows to create many different looks

you can buy it in Sephora and the price is 51 euro

as usual I had to check my notes, so my first idea is an eyeshadow palette

for a slightly higher price I selected the third and last advent calendar of this video

bare with me I have an obsession for advent calendars

it's the Body shop one, let me check my notes again

Body Shop has several advent calendars available this year, I chose the one that costs 95 euro

because it's the one I like the most and inside you get

rose shower gel, a cute headband with bunny ears

a soap, a body lotion, a sponge,

and some make up products too, like an eyeliner, a lip liner, a lip balm

a body butter, an eye make up remover

I like this advent calendar because it's a perfect mix of skincare and make up

there's a bit everything and it's a lovely gift idea

let's move to the next product which is more expensive

the priciest item in this video will be 260 euro, but let's move to the next item

and it's not beauty related, this time it's electronic and I've got it here

it's a wireless speaker that you can connect to your devices, your tablet/phone ect

and play the music throught it

the sound is really good, so is the volume level and you can use it even to receive your calls

It works perfectly I gave it as a birthday gift to Daniele and we've been using it a lot

the price is 110 euro and you can get it on Amazon

and still talking about electronics mixed with the beauty world my next gift idea is

Sonicare, the super glam sonic toothbrush, the best on the market in my opinion

and this version is really cool, the price is 160 euro

and you get the Sonicare, the glass which is also a charger

which means you can keep the Sonicare in it and it will charge, but you can also use it to wash your mouth

and the charging box to carry it with you when you travel

this is the rose gold version which I really love, it's a present I'd love to receive too

you can get it on Amazon

The last gift idea is again beauty related

and I chose a Sisley set

one of the best skincare brands on the market

it's really expensive and in fact it's the most expensive gift in this video

but if you want to make a skincare enthusiast happy this is the perfect gift

I got this in France

and inside there are a few products , an hydrating cream, a toner and a mask

I couldn't find it on sale in Italy , but on Sephora

I found another set at the price of 260 euro

with just 2 products, but in full size and they are both anti age

so this is a present more suitable for women of 40 years and above

and we reached the end of this video with my gift ideas for her

Good morning everybody

It's very busy here so I'm not going to keep you too long

I just wanted to introduce the day

Right now I'm in Shinjuku and I'm going to go to Isetan then go visit a shrine

And then later in the day I'm finally going to go to Shibuya

Right in front of me should be the Isetan exit

And then I forgot the name of the shrine but as usual I'll include it and write it down

This is all around Shinjuku area so let's go to Isetan right now

I think it's this really fancy department store. I've seen Taylor R the youtuber go to it so

Maybe I'll see her there. Just kidding. So yeah I'll go check it out right now.

I don't want to bang my head on one of the low signs. As you can see the ceiling is pretty low

The name of the shrine I'm going to is Hanazono Shrine

I believe that today there is a flea market so if I find that it will be really interesting

And right now I'm looking for exit E2. I should be paying more attention

Otherwise I'm going to get lost

Oh, that way. I'm good

Ok, I'm back sorry.

This is a better place to vlog, the ceiling is higher, there are less people. Better choice

So I was saying about Isetan: super fancy. First I went to the ground floor

and it was all the beauty stuff like skin care and it was way way too fancy. I felt like a sore thumb

sticking out so I was like 'ok escape, I'm leaving Isetan' and then I noticed

The second ground floor like B1 there was a lot of food so I got food basically

I had a look around and you can order a Christmas cake already

There was a Christmas cake display available for pre order

There were a lot of traditional sweets which was what I was looking for

to cross off my list

And then... what else?

And then I went to check out the cosmetics real fast

And they were all you know, luxury brands like Channel...

So you kind of get the vibe that was over there. I didn't go up to the 7th floor

I went to the second ground floor which had the skin care

B1 for the food - I'm out breath

And then first floor for the cosmetics and then I came out and that was it for Isetan

Recommend. At least for the food

There was a lot more but I just bought two little sweets and then I got out of there because I saw

Sushi boxes and bento boxes and all these things which looked so so amazing

And another thing while I'm here

Check your exits when you're going to anywhere in Tokyo

Because as you can see I've been walking for a while now

And if I didn't know where the exit was I would've just been lost and never found the shrine

and would've got irritated so I know that Harazono Shrine

Is on exit E2. Coming up right in front of me

after yesterday's one. Yesterday's was really cool though I don't regret it

And the main focus for today is Shin -I am in Shinjuku!

I mean Shibuya, Harajuku

Since I went to a really nice garden yesterday, I did a short tour of this one today

So that was Uobei Sushi in the road right right behind me in Shibuya

And it was really fun to order and to see things slide by

The sushi is standard quality as it's not hand rolled

It was still good, quite tasty

So now I'm going to stop here because I'm going to have to walk into a crowd of people again

Because this is Shibuya obviously

Right behind this wonderful... you can't see what I mean but

These girls, whoever they are

Now I'm going to go to Shibuya 109

I'm going to go to Purikura No Mecca

And then... oh I still have to show you the crossing, I haven't properly seen it up close and Hachiko

Just went to Shibuya 109. That's it behind me

I was just going to have a look and then I found Etude House which is a Korean brand

And you know I've really started to enjoy Korean brands so I had a look in there and a little shop

Bought a little something even though I said I wouldn't shop anymore

But more interestingly I got to experience and check out Japanese fashion

I expect that fashion here is more on the young side because what I've seen so far in other shops were more

subtle and a little more dressy and these are more like more ruffles and colours

and fur, I saw a lot of faux fur in there

So it's really interesting

I'm going to stop rambling. You guys are going to be like 'stop talking and do things'

I'm sorry. It's raining, it's hard to film with all these people

It's not that interesting for you guys at the moment so I can only update you about my own experience and what I'm seeing

And right now I'm seeing a lot of buildings, a lot of people, a lot of rain

And a lot of stores

Wow. So far Shinjuku and Shibuya have been most busy

Also it is Sunday so that could be the reason

I haven't been to Harajuku yet that would be next. Very soon. I still need to check out a few things here in Shibuya

I think I'm going to Harajuku

It's almost 5 pm and if I want to go to shrines there'll be closed, if I want to go to gardens

I'll have the same thing as yesterday where they'll be just closing or closed

I'll figure something out

Guess what guys, what did I tell you

That it was going to close like the same thing as yesterday

Expect that I've just arrived and they're closing the gates right in front me so

Not even a few minutes left, they are literally closing the gates

I'm going to have to research what my next stop is because I wanted to go here

and then to Yoyogi Park which is kind of part of it

But that is a no go

I actually only have two days left in Tokyo

So I'm going to have to round up all the things I still want to do

And try to do them in about 2 days

I haven't even gone in the Tokyo area, the actual Tokyo area

I guess it's the Center? The Nihombashi area. I haven't even done that

Tsukiji... ok everyone is looking at me. I'm done.

I think this is the Omotesando area

And I'm going to go down this street. Don't know what it is but it was recommended on the map so I'm going to have a look in there

I'm going to explore this cute little road right now and then after that I'll probably head back to

Shinjuku where I stored my backpack in a locker

And then I'm going to head back to my hostel, check back in and then

I might even go to an onsen tonight

The Death of Mainstream Religion (With The End Of Free Will) - Duration: 6:14.

The great philosopher and logician, Bertrand Russell, once remarked that "religion is something

left over from the infancy of our intelligence, it will fade away as we adopt reason and science

as our guidelines", and indeed, history supports his words.

If we take Christianity alone, biblical geocentrism was invalidated by scientific heliocentrism,

Young Earth Creationism and Noah's Ark were laid waste to by geology, and creationism

was unconsciously annihilated by evolution, and as a result, Christianity slowly but surely

faded, having to reinterpret its otherwise unambiguous assertions in order to remain

compatible with scientific enlightenment.

But while Christianity (and indeed all religions), have been able to reinterpret their scripture

in order to accommodate most discoveries, they have had particular difficulty with evolution

by natural selection, because unlike heliocentrism, which merely contradicts a few biblical statements

of fact, evolution contradicts many biblical statements of fact, and it critically diminishes

its creation story.

Put shortly, without the literal story of Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden, and the

Fruit of Forbidden Knowledge, Original Sin is seriously compromised, and as a result,

Jesus' sacrifice make even less sense.

Now of course, Christians can (and indeed have) reinterpreted their scripture to make

this square fit through the circle, but many denominations (though by no means a majority)

simply won't do this.

They're of the opinion that if the very explicit biblical statements of 'fact'

about creation are just metaphors, then the bible loses its integrity, because any biblical

statement of fact can be viewed as a metaphor… and hence, they see evolution as incompatible

with their religion (and to be honest, so do I).

And while I fervently disagree with them, I must admit that I have more respect for

their position than I do for those who insist that they've squared the circle.

But alas, overall, Christianity, like most religions, has accepted evolution, and in

time, so too will the religions that currently don't (such as Islam).

But a discovery that mainstream religions absolutely cannot accept, is the long suspected

and recently demonstrated fact that free will is an illusion – that is, that 'libertarian

free will' doesn't exist.

But before I explain exactly why this is the case, it would be remiss of me not to first

demonstrate how exactly we know that free will is an illusion.

However, to do so sufficiently, I would need to clearly define terms, present evidence,

and expose misconceptions, which would all amass to a considerable amount of time and

would detract from the point of this video.

And so, in light of this, what I've decided to do is to put a link in the description

to a video of mine titled 'Free Will – Debunked', which does just this… and so, if you currently

believe in free will, then I'd like to kindly suggest that you either pause this video to

watch that one now, or that that you watch it shortly after this one.

Anyhow, the reason that mainstream religions simply cannot accept that free will is an

illusion is because they are entirely predicated on the assertion that it's not.

The Abrahamic concepts of 'heaven', 'hell', and 'sin', for example, all necessitate

that humans have free will; as does the Hindu concept of Moksha, and the Buddhist concept

of Naraka.

To quote Sam Harris, "Without free will, sinners and criminals would be nothing more

than poorly calibrated clockwork, and any conception of justice that emphasized punishing

them (rather than deterring, rehabilitating, or merely containing them) would appear utterly

in-+con-gru--ous.

And those of us who work hard and follow the rules would not 'deserve' our success

in any deep sense."

the illusion of free will, but it's precisely because of this that these denominations are

so distinguishable from the mainstream.

And so yes, it's possible for mainstream religions to adapt to the absence of free

will, but to do so they would need to reshape the very foundation of their core beliefs

– to the point that for all intent and purposes, they'd have died.

Or to put this as clearly as possible, because mainstream religion necessitates free will,

and because free will is an illusion, mainstream religion is therefore dead… but it just

doesn't know it yet.

Anyhow, to finish where we started, the truth of the matter is that each and every time

that a religion has successfully reinterpreted its scripture in order to accommodate a discovery,

it has done so as only a Pyrrhic Victory.

While it may have remained compatible with scientific advancements, it has each and every

time lost integrity and stature… it has, to quote Russell… faded…

Months ago I came up with this idea which was to use a row of dominoes as a

metaphor for the relentless ticking of time and that idea kept me up at night

so I eventually came here to Telus World of Science because they have

thousands of these things called KEVA planks that I could use as dominoes.

So we just are finishing setting up the last few dominoes out of 2,000 dominoes

we're gonna have each one of these dominoes represent a million years in

the history of the earth going back from the present day all the way back to when

the nucleus of the cell formed and

I'm really terrified actually right

now because I'm finishing

filling these gaps and I think

it's extremely likely that something could go wrong. and we've managed to set up so far a total

of 2,000 dominoes which isn't what I was hoping for but it's still two billion

years in our timeline and we're going to start way back over here.

Kurtis why did you do two billion years that seems like a pretty arbitrary

number and to be completely honest it is but I knew that I wouldn't be able to do

the entire history of that I wanted to do because to be honest I want to do one

that's seven times longer. I want to do one that is the entire history of the

universe but if I'm gonna commit myself to a

mammoth project like that I need to know that there is interest for it on the

internet because it would be 500m long and I might go

insane so if you do want to see something like that then please like

Making a Christmas Card with My Cat - Duration: 5:03.

- Hello my friends, Kaitlyn here and I'm going

to make a Christmas card with my cat.

(Christmas music playing)

I've just been doing the weirdest things recently,

and I'm fully embracing it.

So, I did Halloween costumes with my cat, which was really

fun, and you can totally watch that video, up in the little

card over here, and so now I thought, why not buy

some costumes for Christmas and then make a Christmas Card.

(bells ringing)

So for costumes we have this adorable reindeer.

I love it so much.

And then if the reindeer doesn't work, I also got this

elf sweater, because I have put a sweater on him before

and he's like fine with those, the costumes where

stuff does over his head, he's a little bit less

enthused about it, but he does, he does keep it on.

He gives me this look like, what are you doing to me

woman, please take this off of me as soon as possible.

We're going to try reindeer and maybe we'll try elf,

elf would actually look maybe better with what I am wearing.

See the thought here, the thought here would be that I

am santa and he is my reindeer, get it, get it?

I think I'm going to go with the sparkly, the sparkly one,

but we're not going to put it on until absolutely necessary

because I don't want to ruin my hair.

(laughing)

Vanity, vanity.

Alright, let's go get Finn.

There we go, I think the photo is done.

So I chose to do a video, which I know is not

necessarily the best quality photo in the world,

but with a cat.

I don't really have any photographers in my family.

So, I thought the best option would be to film a video

and then take screenshots from the video.

I've already started a project on Shutterfly,

and I'm going to go in and do some fun stuff.

And I'm going to do that, right now.

(techno Christmas music)

He's looking at me like why are you doing this,

why are you doing this to me?

I'm sorry Mister Finn, I love you so much,

I just want the rest of the world to love you

as much as I do.

I feel like that went pretty well,

don't you think so Finn?

Yeah, yeah, he thinks so too.

He's decided that he's going to sit on my notes.

How am I supposed to make a video if

you're sitting on my notes?

Isn't it so cute, we're so cute Finn,

we're so cute and weird and creepy,

kind of like in the crazy cat lady

kind of weird world.

But it's also adorable, so, there's that.

Hey Munchies!

Welcome to the channel if you're new, I'm Alyssia.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends,

and I hope you ate plenty of delicious food!

As you can probably guess from the intro,

one of my favorite things about the holidays of all is PIE.

But, all of that pie can also be one of the HARDEST things about the holidays—

I want to eat it all!

So, instead, today I'm sharing 5 healthy smoothies that TASTE just like pie.

These breakfast smoothies are loaded with healthy fuel,

but they're sweet and indulgent to satisfy those dessert cravings!

AND they can absolutely carry over into your healthy new year, too!

First up, Cherry Pie!

We've got frozen cherries, which I love

because not only can you get them more affordably than fresh and year-round,

but they also substitute as ice in this smoothie!

We're also adding some yogurt—any kind will do,

even a soy or coconut yogurt to keep this vegan—

milk of choice—I love cashew milk in smoothies—

oats, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and sweetener to taste.

I always suggest adding your sweetener to your preferences,

whether it's a no-calorie sweetener or a sugar variety,

it will depend on what YOU like and if other ingredients like your yogurt

have sweetener in them already.

Blend that up until it's smooth, thick and creamy.

Nice and sweet, beautiful in color, and nutritionally boosting, too!

For that extra clean indulgence,

feel free to add a bit of coconut whipped cream on top!

Next: Banana Cream Pie!

Start with a frozen banana, and then add yogurt—

I like thick Greek yogurt for this one, but again any kind will do—

a scoop of vanilla protein powder,

milk of choice, oats, and coconut shreds.

Again, I really prefer to use frozen fruit to ice,

the smoothie just ends up much creamier.

It's so thick and delicious!

And coconut and banana are such a winning flavor combination !

Next up, a classic: Green Apple Pie

Combine a green apple, peeled if you prefer, with oats,

milk of choice—I like coconut milk here to thicken—

apple juice, spinach, vanilla extract, sweetener to taste—

I used coconut sugar in this one since it's reminiscent of brown sugar,

which is always in my apple pie—

cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom.

For a thicker smoothie, add a few cubes of ice.

This one is so refreshing, both tart and sweet,

and you won't even notice the spinach!

You can sneakily get those veggies in and enjoy that wholesome breakfast upgrade.

Thumbs up for making veggies taste like pie!

How about Blueberry Pie?!

Again, I'm subbing the ice—this time with frozen blueberries,

which are cheap and nutritious—then add your milk of choice,

yogurt of choice, oats, almond butter, vanilla extract and cinnamon.

I actually think the frozen blueberries make this smoothie so sweet and delicious,

because frozen fruit is generally frozen at the peak time of freshness,

so you don't have to worry about tart berries!

Last but not least: Coconut Cream Pie!

I add ice cubes, coconut cream, coconut water,

coconut milk, coconut shreds, soaked cashews,

maple syrup and coconut extract to a blender.

That is a LOT of coconut!

If you don't like coconut, TOO BAD!

Don't ask for a substitute for this recipe, that's just silly!

Holy moly though, it is so tasty!

It's thick and creamy,

and not to mention completely plant based.

The coconut water adds natural sweetness and keeps it really refreshing.

Not to mention it's nutrient-dense!

Woohoo!

And those are 5 healthy breakfast smoothies that taste like pie.

They are SO fun!
