Cómo hacer un antiplagas (preventivo) natural, home made, para tu cultivo de marihuana - Duration: 8:19.

- Hi welcome to another Brico Mary section in UndergrowTv. This time we'll teach you how to keep

- your ploants healthy using homemade preventives.

- The best option about plagues... Is avoid their appearance. If you see them in your cultivation, you must avoid them to

- stablish there. You'll need a few preventive measures. Nice environment and weather

- and a good general care plus concrete preventive pulverizations in necessary moments for your garden.

- Great diversity of plagues that could appear in you cultivation creates a great disposition of

- remedys. In specialiced grows like Dutch Green or SLC (Low Cost Seeds), they'll help you to identify

- your plague to act correctly and they can provide you with all kind of preventives or phytosanitaries you need.

- Universal systems to avoid these plagues like those sticky tapes... Really used in general horticulture.

- We need several liquids, or chemical or organic, but they are really useful because act directly over the plague,

- like nem oil, potassic soap, epirethrin and crysanthemum extracts... Also really useful as preventives, before plague's

- appearance. If the plague is totally stablished, maybe you should use chemical insecticides

- wich will directly kill the plague, like Dimethoate, really useful agaisnt aphids.

- It's kept away and you can use an specific product depending on your plague. We always recommend

- pulverizations during growth... Once bloom started, you must totally avoid any kind of

- pulverization if it's possible... And if it's composed, like this one, with garlics... It could be, but you should know

- that flowers skills will be affected so limit your pulverizations during growth

- and if you must use something during bloom, do it early and naturally. Biologic war is also useful during bloom...

- Known as beneficial plagues, that will kill your garden's plague, and when their food is over,

- simply go away or dead. There is a home made category when we talk about preventives.

- We'll teach you a little bit how to ellaborate it as a solution to your problems without moving from home.

- Nettles, garlic, onion or tobacco are well known as preventives.

- Nicotine from tobacco is a common ingredient in a lot of insecticides. And we'll see other tricks or recipes

- from we'll get our totally homemade insecticide. With a few combinations, or even only one ingredient,

- you can get powerful insecticides. This time we'll ellaborate an insecticide from onion and garlic.

- It will be useful to keep plagues away from your garden. Let's see how to make insecticide from common ellements.

- Stay tuned during the next Brico Mary editions because we'll teach other examples to other kind of plagues.

- Let's see how to ellaborate 2 products... The first one will be the garlic juice.

- This simple potion is easy to make, only a few hours resting... Only boiling it into a pan...

- Really easy. We need a garlic head and a water bucket. Open it...

- Peel the garlics and chop it with the knive. You can split it in pieces but

- we'll use this trick by Damian... Chop garlics with the knive and then put them into water. Let's do this.

- Cut it after chopping and then add it to the water. Then it will liberate all active substances... What we want.

- Let that mix rest at least 24h and then warm it at low intensity... At least 15 minutes, but don't let it boil.

- Then we can filter the water to collect big pieces of garlic.

- We'll get a liquid product to pulverize over our plants to avoid ants and aphids, and, combined with potassic soap,

- it will be useful agaisnt mites, worms... And we must let it cool during a little before removing it from the pan.

- Let's see the second product... An onion soup perfect agaisnt aphids,

- a great fungicide that will keep fungus away from your garden... Really nice as preventive, but if it's an advanced

- plague... Well let's see. We'll only need a litter of hot water... We want to keep it hot during 2 or 3 hours...

- What we need to transfer from onion's skin to the water. Separate all the skin,

- and use only that skin. Today we wont cry, we'll only cut

- the skin to put it into hot water to free all active substances. We'll filter it after all

- and then we can start pulverization. Better with an atomizator because it distrbutes better... Well we've

- come to this garden to make a visit and pulverize it. A preventive favour. Let's see how to do that... We've got

- this keeper forest 5... A full depot... We've combined garlic and onion soups...

- To pulverize our plants. If you want to mantain it, separate it... I've used

- it together... Here's my pulverization spear... Let's atomize the water... It will arrive to all leafs

- and difficult places where any kind of insect could live. Application frequence will variate depending on what you want.

- If you're going to make a preventive during growth, it will be enought. But if you have to fight a plague...

- Do it until the end... Elliminate it. Frequence will be weekly or maybe... 2 or 3 days between pulverizations.

- In extreme cases... It could be daily but be careful with humidity and

- if you do this daily... Your plague is totally out of measures... Use other methods. See you on the next. Good smoking!

At first I attempted to leave both books with this little note at an event on the 17th of December.

And this young lady read the note and then picked this book.

"Leviathan" was not picked on that day. Instead, I offered it to this young lady on the 20th of December.

So many books have been given lately. It's unbelievable. Thank you, Seeker.

AlphaZero: DeepMind's New Chess AI | Two Minute Papers #216 - Duration: 6:35.

Dear Fellow Scholars, this is Two Minute Papers with Károly Zsolnai-Fehér.

After defeating pretty much every highly ranked professional player in the game of Go, Google

DeepMind now ventured into the realm of Chess.

They recently challenged not the best humans, no-no-no, that was long ago.

They challenged Stockfish, the best computer chess engine in existence in quite possibly

the most exciting chess-related event since Kasparov's matches against Deep Blue.

I will note that I was told by DeepMind that this is the preliminary version of the paper,

so now we shall have an initial look, and perhaps make a part 2 video with the newer

results when the final paper drops.

AlphaZero is based on a neural network and reinforcement learning and is trained entirely

through self-play after being given the rules of the game.

It is not to be confused with AlphaGo Zero that played Go.

It is also noted that this is not simply AlphaGo Zero applied to chess.

This is a new variant of the algorithm.

The differences include: - one, the rules of chess are asymmetric,

for instance pawns only move forward, castling is different on kingside and queenside, and

this means that neural network-based techniques are less effective at it.

- two, the algorithm not only has to predict a binary win or loss probability when given

a move, but draws are also a possibility and that is to be taken into consideration.

Sometimes a draw is the best we can do, actually.

There are many more changes to the previous incarnation of the algorithm, please make

sure to have a look at the paper for details.

Before we start with the results and more details, a word on Elo ratings for perspective.

The Elo rating is a number that measures the relative skill level of a player.

Currently, the human player with the highest Elo rating, Magnus Carlssen is hovering around

2800.

This man played chess blindfolded against 10 opponents simultaneously in Vienna a couple

years ago and won most of these games.

That's how good he is.

And Stockfish is one of the best current chess engines, with Elo rating over 3300.

A difference of 500 Elo points means that if it were to play against Magnus Carlssen,

it would be expected to win at least 95 games out of a 100.

Though it is noted that there is a rule suggesting a hard cutoff at around a 400 point difference.

The two algorithms then played each other.

AlphaZero versus Stockfish.

They were both given 60 seconds of thinking time per move, which is considered to be plenty

given that both of the algorithms take around 10 seconds at most per move.

And here are the results.

AlphaZero was able to outperform Stockfish in about 4 hours of learning from scratch.

They played a 100 games - AlphaZero won 28 times, drew 72 times and never lost to Stockfish.

Holy mother of papers, do you hear that?

Stockfish is already unfathomably powerful compared to even the best human prodigies,

and AlphaZero basically crushed it after four hours of self-play.

And, it was run with a similar hardware as AlphaGo Zero, one machine with 4 Tensor Processing

Units.

This is hardly commodity hardware, but given the trajectory of the improvements we've seen

lately, it might very well be in a couple of years.

Note that Stockfish does not use machine learning and is a handcrafted algorithm.

People like to refer to computer opponents in computer games as AI, but it is not doing

any sort of learning.

So, you know what the best part is?

AlphaZero is a much more general algorithm that can also play Shogi on an extremely high

level, which is also referred to as Japanese chess.

And this is one of the most interesting points - AlphaZero would be highly useful even it

if were slightly weaker than Stockfish, because it is built on more general learning algorithms

that can be reused for other tasks without investing significant human effort.

But in fact, it is more general, and it also crushes Stockfish.

With every paper from DeepMind, the algorithm becomes better AND more and more general.

I can tell you, this is very, very rarely the case.

Total insanity.

Two more interesting tidbits about the paper: one, all the domain knowledge the algorithm

is given is stated precisely for clarity.

two, one might think that as computers and processing power increases over time, all

we have to do is add more brute force to the algorithm and just evaluate more positions.

If you think this is the case, have a look at this - it is noted that AlphaZero was able

to reliably defeat Stockfish WHILE evaluating ten times fewer positions per second.

Maybe we could call this the AI equivalent of intuition, in other words, being able to

identify a small number of promising moves and focusing on them.

Chills run down my spine as I read this paper.

Being a researcher is the best job in the world.

And we are even being paid for this.

Unreal.

This is a hot paper, there is lot of discussions out there on this, lots of chess experts analyze

and try to make sense of the games.

I had a ton of fun reading and watching through some of these, as always, Two Minute Papers

encourages you to explore and read more, and the video description is ample in useful materials.

You will find videos with some really cool analysis from Grandmaster Daniel King, International

Chess Master Daniel Rensch, and the YouTube channel ChessNetwork.

All quality materials.

Matt's Story: How One Local Brewery Gives Back to Its Community - Duration: 1:36.

My first restaurant industry experience came from Roy Rogers probably 30 years ago plus,

and I was really great at making french fries.

And that lasted about a year.

We knew that we lived in a beer dessert in Vienna.

We had no craft beer within walking distance of any of our houses, and we knew that we

had to provide something great for people to drink.

About five years ago, my business partner and I had started a technology company and

we were making apps.

And one day, he came to me and said, "Matt, we should start a brewery in Vienna."

And immediately I swiped my hand across the table and took everything off the desk and

said, "Yes.

That's what we're doing."

One of the greatest things about beer is that it's an all natural process.

We get to use the full life cycle of products.

Everything from our grains to our yeast gets reused in some way.

Today, we brewed our Vienna Lager, which is heavy on the malts, and we end up with about

1200 pounds of spent grains, which go to a local farmer to use for feed.

So, she feeds her pigs, her horses and her goats with this spent grain and it's essentially

a second life for the product that we're going to typically throw in the trash.

The things I love most about Caboose Brewing and what I do now is the ability to talk to

customers, the sense of community, and the ability to make people happy.

When people come into Caboose, they're just looking for a good time.

They're just looking to have the worries of the world lifted from them, and they just

want to be taken care of.

And that's what we do best here.

SHOULD WE LEAVE OUR CHILD TO BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS - 60 seconds of PSY # 20 - Duration: 1:39.

Today, I change the program to address a current issue concerning the

red fat man with a white beard.

Warning Keep children away from screens.

Let your child believe in Santa Claus is not lying.

This helps answer the ambiguity between the real and the imaginary constitutes the universe

of young child.

Therefore, if you do not want to adhere to this myth, it is essential to remain

the child to have the opportunity to also live in an imaginary world where the dead

ascend to heaven and where wolves eat the children who go astray in the forest.

What answer if he asks you if Santa exist ? Rather than imposing

the truth, you can explain to him that there are different ways to exist, as

you and him or like the characters in cartoons.

This will have the advantage of leaving the possibility, if it is not ready to continue

to believe or otherwise to make him understand that it refers

to be fictitious.

In principle, the belief in Santa Claus disappears by itself at 7-8 years when the child reaches the age of reason.

But this can last until the age of 10, showing some immaturity

in children.

One last thing, it's not Santa Claus who is guarantor of authority among you,

so stop threatening your children that Santa Claus does not happen if there are no

unwise.

Because yes, Santa Claus is not the bogeyman, it offers gifts to all

naughty or unruly children.

Think inches, subscribe soon for an upcoming "60 seconds of PSY"

I take this episode to thank you for the Christmas gift you made me

the arrival of the 100th subscribers.

I hope to continue to live up to your expectations and I wish you a Merry Christmas.

[Eng Sub] 3rd Osanpo Rally - Story 6 (Cape Penguin/Flamingo) - Duration: 3:05.

Cape-chan, Flamingo-chan, say cheese♪

Cape penguins are so cute~♡ I'll take a photo too~♪

The flamingoes have such a beautiful colour on their feathers. It's so mesmerizing to see such a vividly colourful creature.

You're right. It's a sight to behold when the flamingoes flock together. The whole place turns pink, or rather, vermilion?

If anything, they might be more of a flame-coloured zura.

Flames?

Right. The colour on the flamingo feathers can just be called "flamingo", but they're also used to describe the colours of flames......

The etymology of flamingo comes from the Latin word "flamma" that is used to describe flames.

Which is why it wouldn't wrong to describe the colours on the flamingo as flame-coloured.

The Japanese name for flamingo is "Crimson Crane (Benizuru)", and they're named as such because of their inherent redness.

(Japanese) phrases using "crimson" can used to represent flames.

Even though they have a foreign name, I find it fascinating for it to have some form of connection.

Hanamaru-san sure is well-learned.

Huh?! T-that's not true at all zura! I'm only repeating what I read from picture books about animals when I was little...

Whenever I talk to Hanamaru-chan, I feel like I'm getting smarter.

Ehh~

Flamingoes were called Crimson Cranes, I did not know about this before. What a gorgeous name...... I think I prefer calling it that.

Are flamingoes associated with cranes?

Nope, they're different from cranes zura.

Is it because they're necks are long?

That name which symbolizes a burning scarlet flame...... Isn't that just so cool...... I'm so envious of the flamingoes......

Ah, the reason why flamingoes are red comes from a constituent in the food they eat. If they do not receive that constituent, they'll just become white.

White flames......!

Does that mean a newborn flamingo would not have red-coloured feathers?

That's just like crayfish! If I recall, the reason why crayfish are red is because their food contains a similar constituent, right?

What if, let's say that the constituents in their food do not make them red, but instead makes them purple......

The result would purple flamingo! If they flocked together, the entire field would be purple.

That sounds kind of poisonous.

It'll look nice if it were a lighter colour...

It would no longer be called a flamingo in the first place if that happened.

50 Facts About Me | Suzy S. - Duration: 21:37.

Hola everyone. For today's video, because I'm on holiday and I'm quite

relaxed I had a shiatsu massage yesterday, which was really relaxing

so I'm going to do a 50 things about me thing and so I don't forget any of the

things I've got my little notebook here and so let's get started.

My name is Suzy as you know; I'm French I'm Spanish and Martiniquaise, it's in the Caribbean.

I am bilingual English and French. I am learning how to speak Spanish because I

can read Spanish but (...) quite well, but I can't speak it as well. I've been living in

the UK for basically five years. Surprisingly or not I'm allergic to

chocolate. I really like horror movies. I could (work)

and spend hours watching horror movies and that's why, also I've got a subscription to

Shudder which is a (...) it's like a Netflix, bur for like horror movies

and TV shows; they're like horror and gory etc. it's quite (...) it's quite great as a

streaming services and it's full of horror movies and I really like it. I (...) actually quite

introvert and quiet and I'll put a picture somewhere over here or here but it

took me about three times, three years, when I was going to London Tattoo

Convention to speak to someone who I thought was really cool; he's got (...)

his attire is just wonderful, he spend hours doing it and I was just like "Oh my god

this guy is awesome" and I needed to speak, but it took

me three years to have the courage and the bravery to go and ask him for

like picture with him and I'm known to be quite quiet, and like the quiet one in

friends groups usually. I've got three first names which is quite long

in addition to my surnames it's: Suzy Margot and the third one which start with

an 'R'. I work in theatre; I've been working professionally in theatre now

for three years I think yes three years. I can write runes; I've got a runes here

I think you can see and that's another thing I've got two tattoos so

the first one I've done was this one, about four years ago I think and I've

got this one here I (... I don't know if you can see, but it's like because it goes all

around my here. Yeah I've got two tattoos. I'm planning on the third one, I don't

know when it's going to be done. Those things takes quite, usually quite some

time to actually being done because there's a lot of reflection because you

know it's that's for life and the pain yeah so because it's last for life I

want to take my time before doing it, but there's going to be another one. It's

going to be here just to complete the arm. Yeah I've got two tattoos for now.

I studied Chinese at school for like three years. With my class we went to China. We

went to Shanghai, Beijing, in two small towns. They was like probably like a

village near, I think it was Shanghai, yeah about, when I was 16. I also

studied Latin for three years as well. So for like the three last years of

college and yeah it was quite fun actually. I got she understand the roots of

Latin based languages and also (...) if we were nice sometimes at the end

of the class for like 10 15 minutes we had story time in Latin and

surprisingly also because probably were a bunch of nerds that was quite

enjoyable and yeah that was quite nice actually.

Speaking of Latin, I went to Italy and Reading Festival on

my own last year for my 25th birthday and I had the best time. That was just

great. Even though I was on my own, I went for the Reading Festival, I made friends

with people at the festival, that's great even if it was raining some time, it's

just (...) good music (...) fun time; I could not could I chose that I could to drink gin

and tonic before like 11:00 it was great; you shouldn't do that, but you know

because you can't take alcohol inside the arena, I said oh I don't know how

you know those little cans which are like ye high, you can get from

Tesco (...) Yeah that was great and then Italy for like four days. I went to Rome.

I visited like all the touristy stuff like the Trevi Fontaine and the Pantheon,

all those places and that was quite (...) very beautiful. It was quite warm, because it was

during the heatwave I almost died by the end, because I'm not (...)

I don't like the heat strangely, but yeah that was quite great. And speaking of

spending some on your own, I go to the movies quite often; not quite often

pretty much all the time on my own. For some reason I was vegetarian for about

two years back in college and I'm not anymore because Bacon's so good, and

saucisson and chorizo and all that kind of stuff, it's delicious. I don't admit it quite often, but actually it's tear up

quite easily watching TV shows, movies and documentaries and so I tear up,

sometimes cry. The next thing about me, I find it quite funny, because it's that I

didn't go to (...) also I'm atheist, we're not a religious family, my mum doesn't believe

in God, I think, but my two older siblings went to Sunday school and I didn't and

my (...) the reason because (...) my mum didn't put me to Sunday school was because I was

into witchcraft apparently when I was about like 5, 6, 8, 7,

9, 10, 11, 12 (...) apparently I've been in witchcraft for

quite some time into witchcraft yeah that's ... English; into witchcraft

for quite some time. Speaking of witchcraft actually I think

my mum had some truth in that, I had made my own grimoire, which is it like sorcery

book, just like in Charmed; it was about, I think, about this big and I made it up with

like A4 paper and the back of very hard back school notebooks and I think the

lining was like red-ish thing. I don't have it here, it's still at my mum's but I still

got it. I don't (...) I think I didn't mentioned, but I

am 26. I failed my A-levels, so the baccalauréat, twice, but I started my

studies again about three years ago. I've studied Community Arts Management.

First Community Arts Admin and then I went on to Community Arts Management and

that wasn't an apprenticeship and that's the level of a-levels actually so now

technically I've got my A-levels. I've got a wrist injury because I played

rugby 10-15 years ago; how old was I (...) yeah 10-15 years ago.

Water is my favorite beverage and I was actually not like 'yeah I'm gonna drink

water to like I have a nice transition' but no I was going thirsty. I was saying, I

think because it got cut, that I really love water, because we're lucky enough in

the Western world to have access to clean and drinkable water and so when

it's fresh it's very nice and then he tasty; although there's no taste in

water, although sometimes we can tell the difference, not on tap water, also in the

tap water you can taste the difference some time between a good tap water (...) I also

if you live in London you should get one of them Bobble

bottle with the filter thing, because the water is very hard in London

and the UK especially as well and with (...) hard because of the limescale in it and

limescale it's not very good for you and your teeth, so you should drink filtered

water or like water from like Evian or the likes or the filter one because you

can keep it for a long time and also it's a bit nicer to the earth than

getting a new little bottle, like every time you go to the store and there's (...)

There's like Brita and all that, but yeah all that to say that I really like water.

And speaking of water I really like the sounds of heavy rain. I like the music of

heavy rain and because then the atmosphere is a bit fresh, it'scooler and

it smells nicer and free of some of the pollution and London's very polluted

city, so it's got nice to go outside or just to pop your head out of the window

just to have this smell of nature. I think I mentioned already making my own

grimoire, so my own spell book when I was younger, but I used to do also my own

magazine which was called Angels Magazine, I think. That was probably on

witchcraft as well and stuff like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angels, the

TV show, Charmed, Supernatural, spells like maybe food recipe or stuff like that and

I still got it. It's not here with me in London, it's at my mom's, but yeah I used to

be that kind of literature nerd and yeah I was especially quite fun to do (...) I was

the only reader of it, but I got quite (...) I was (...) arts and crafty heavy kind of person

and I'm still I'm (...) also I really love Halloween. I said "oh my god also" because I've got one of them

thing I really love, it's from my previous, my latest secret Santa, it's a

colouring book and so this thing, I think you can see (...) in the camera bit,

this is from there and this as well not from this one, but it's from my mum's and

it's ongoing, I've been going at it for like, my god forever, because it's massive, it's

from a gift from my mum (...) I very like doing arts and crafts thing and I got very

exciting about this, because not only, it's the thing about me I really love

Halloween and I really think it should be a holiday, like a bank holiday and it's just the

best time of the year, so like when I saw that I was like 'oh my god this is just

the best present ever', alongside the other best present ever

which was given to me by the (...) Secret Santa (...)

previous of this one, which was also the best manager you can dream of, she got me

because I'm a massive fan, that's another thing, I'm a massive fan of Sister Act,

she got me the soundtrack, the original soundtrack of the movies, so I really love the Sister Act

like the first one, the Sister Act 2 and I know like the lyrics almost by heart and also the dancing, I watch the video (...) movies quite a lot and

the videos on YouTube and like especially Joyful Joyful. I do know most of the

Oh Happy Day choreography and the moving around, especially the Joyful Joyful one

and when it gets to the end, even if I'm just listening to it and not watching the video I

know that comes to the end they're all like (...) like this and that ends like this and

then win obviously, but yeah I know that movies by heart .

Yes I really love Halloween. I'm a arty crafty, I made my own magazine and yeah I

love the arts, can you guess I work in theatre. What a surprise. Carrie, the version

of 2002 is my favourite movie. I think I've said I'm an atheist,

but although I'm a atheist I used to believe, when I was younger; I've always

been atheist, I've never believed in god, but I used to believe in ghosts and spirits

and all supernatural stuff. I don't anymore, but yeah I used to believe in

spirits and all that kind of things. That's probably why I've created Angels,

the magazine, and make my own grimoire and also probably why

my mum didn't send me to Sunday school. I've mentioned it earlier with me being

very the quiet and shy and introvert so (...) I've mentioned going to the London Tattoo

Convention and I really like this (...) this convention, a tattoo convention

obviously, here in London, in Tobacco Dock and I really like going there

because it's very great; (there's) live shows. So the shows like the Fuel Girls or last

year we had The Circus of Men, which was also nice. There's also some very nice

arts and painting and exhibition as well at the convention, so it's not only

about tattoo, but it's also about art and it's a very nice one and beautiful and

great. And there's competitions as well; tattoo competition

and yeah it's just a good convention, you should really go. I ran three Tough

Mudders. I still cannot believe it, but I did it. I ran three Tough Mudder and yeah

it's a very fun thing to do, it's very hard. I don't know if I'll run another one,

probably will, maybe like a half one or maybe like a full one. I also run every

year, like another extra thing of those 50 things about me, but every year

since three years now I also to run the Pretty Muddy race. That's the Cancer

Research UK race to help raise awareness on breast cancer and to give

money because that's the main thing about these events, it's not only to

raise awareness, but it's also to help raise money for their research. I can make my

own churros with this lovely churrera. It's not my best Spanish accent, but it's a

churros making machine. It's the Bernar brand from the 1950s. I am a massive fan

of Eurovision. It's just so fun to watch even though it's like so

ridiculous sometimes because of some of the songs.

Speaking of shows, my favorite non French TV show is Sense8. You probably

noticed with my previous videos and because also

you'll notice if you haven't yet in the future, because I'm probably gonna talk

about Sense8 a lot, because it's simply the best TV show ever. It's just great, like

I said I think it was in the (...) I think in my first video, where I talk about

Sense8, videos (...) stuff you should watch if you want to learn English,

French or Spanish. And also, this TV show, because of that should not have been

cancelled. So because of this community, sense of community, also because it's

just the best TV show Netflix should not have canceled, because yes Netflix had

the great idea to cancel Sense8 after 2 seasons, even though

three more were planned. So now they've given us a two-hour special, not to a two hour

finale like they've been saying, but, and we'll keep fighting for more, but yeah it

should not (...) if you haven't watch it yet, it should not discourage you to not watch

it because it's be canceled, but yeah those two first season they're just

great and like I said we've got a two hour specials; two hour special coming up next

year and hopefully a third season. Lana Wachowski is writing it at the moment

in hope Netflix renew Sense8 for at least season three and

hopefully for more. And speaking of hopefully for more, my favorite TV show ever is a

French one, it's called Kamelott. It's about King Arthur and the quest of the grail.

It set obviously around that time and it's got a very sarcastic humour and;

which is just my favourite kind of humour and it's just so (...) it's got so much sass

as well. I think you can see on the video that I'm wearing a Gryffindor

necklace, because I am a Gryffindor, which is just the best house ever isn't

it? It is. And because I'm obviously a fan of Harry Potter I've read all the books,

I've seen all the movies. I even saw the play after waiting for a year and 10

days, after booking, last Sunday; as in filming Sunday

so like two days ago and so that's the first full book series I've ever owned, but

actually the first series of book I've ever had actually is a Goosebumps, so the

first series I've started is Goosebumps, the series. So that's like small short horror

stories for children. So like stories about creepy dolls and ghosts and weird

creature. And yeah, so stories like that for just children's. They're very small book,

about this thin I think, but they're all very good and although I'm an adult now,

because I'm 26, I'm still going to buy them books, because I'm still missing

some of them and yeah. And speaking of books, I'm (...) as book collection, I'm trying

to make a collection of all Stephen King's books, which is my favorite author

and all (...) all his books as Stephen King and all this book as non-Stephen King;

I think he's done like a few with a pen name. And Stephen King and Tim

Curry are responsible for my fear of clowns, because clowns are devilish and

horrible creature and they are mean and evil. And yeah they're terrible and I

really don't like them. I've been a zombie in a horror movie; I'll put a picture

somewhere here, and yeah it was actually quite a fun experience.

I enjoyed this experience because it was very fun to do and although one of my scene

was under the rain, because we were shooting some scenes in the forest, and

so it's obviously outside, and the mother nature decided to drop rain upon us and the

lucky one who got to shoot a scene under the rain was me, obviously (...), but even because

of, with that it was just still fun. And I think I'll keep a good memory of that

acting experience, because after we were all done, I've decided to, although

technically we're not allowed in France to keep horrific makeup like this in

public transport, but I kept my makeup on so I could scare my little sister back home

and I've succeeded. She was so scared. Something I used to do, read dictionaries for fun.

Because why not. I am Echelon and I am Echelon even

with songs like Walk on Water which was released earlier today, so August 22nd

and yeah it's a great band like very great, very

great music, so far. And I'll be an Echelon forever. And just like I'll be a Sense8

forever. So, I am We. Once again Sense8, but I

am We, I think if I understood quite well, it just means that human beings and

humanity are in a way just one being, because we're all connected in certain ways.

When you connect with friends or family or people you fell in love with etc. And yeah, so

we're all one in the end and yeah, I am We. Here you go guys that's it for today's video.

I hope you enjoyed it. I think I've said more than 50 things about me, probably

because sometimes when I talk I can't stop talking, but if you recognize yourself or

if we've got things in common, do say in the comments. And if you liked the

video do liked, comments and I hope to see you soon. Bye.

( end credits eerie fantastic movie like song )

The One Where We Put Stuff in Acid - Duration: 5:20.

Thanks to ACS Central Science for supporting PBS Digital Studios.

This is gold.

This is water.

Wow, that's boring.

But this is called "royal water".

THIS IS CHEMISTRY Today we're talking acids, but before we

get rolling, a strong note of caution:

all of the demos in this video were done by a highly trained chemist, in a chemistry lab

fully equipped to deal with the substances we're showing.

NO ONE out there should even attempt these demonstrations without the right facilities,

training, or equipment.

Now that we're clear on that:

Acids are clearly reactive.

Who hasn't been awed in chemistry class mixing some acidic vinegar together with basic

old baking soda?

Some more than others.

Here's baking soda reacting with strong acids, even after they've reacted with some

of the stuff we'll show in this video.

That clump of baking soda is bubble surfing because the reaction is so vigorous!

Vinegar doesn't do that.

So how do acids work, and why do chemists value them so much?

The classic definition of acids is that they throw hydrogen ions, aka protons, off.

Protons are reactive little things because nature in general hates to concentrate charge

into single points.

When a loose proton comes upon certain molecules, an electron melee ensues and we're left

with new products.

For example, an acid plus a metal will form hydrogen gas and a "salt" of the metal

and the rest of the acid molecule.

And if you're thinking table salt, that's ONE kind.

But there are lots of others.

In chemistry, a salt just means a metal plus a nonmetal.

Fun fact!

Chalk is a salt.

Now you know.

So those bubbles when we stick this here metal thing into hydrochloric acid are pure hydrogen.

That grey stuff is forming an aluminum chloride salt.

Because this is Reactions, we need to mention this model of how acids work is not the only

one.

A more general rule says that acids LOVE grabbing electron pairs from other molecules.

That rule lets chemists talk about acids that don't have hydrogen atoms.

That's for another video.

But regardless of the theory you use, acids can be really useful in the chemistry lab.

Centuries ago the alchemists figured out acids like hydrochloric or nitric could do a number

on metals.

Even metals that don't rust or melt in your average oven.

Have another look at that hydrochloric acid having a go at the aluminum.

And here is nitric acid going to town on some copper.

That's right, copper - the stuff that aside from a little surface verdigris, makes for

pretty lasting landmarks.

Even silver isn't safe from nitric acid, though we didn't have any of the shiny stuff

kicking around to show you.

So this ability of acids to readily chew up metals could make for some clever detective

work that allows us to figure out whether this gold is real or not...

These hunks of billionaire tissue paper look the same to the eye..

This one dissolves in 2 of these vials.

But this one only dissolves in that last vial on the right.

Unfortunately, we wanted to show you pure sulfuric acid, but the stuff we used was…

well it was crap.

It was still pretty strong, strong enough to mess with this paper towel.

But this demo with the sugar was supposed to be a lot more interesting.

[sad trombone sound].

Left to right here we've got sulfuric acid, then hydrochloric acid, followed by nitric

acid, then this regal water we'll get to in a sec.

This is imitation silver, which happens to be aluminum.

Regardless, that's still a metal that you probably know from kitchen experience doesn't

just dissolve willy nilly in water nor do anything remotely exciting with vinegar or

lemon juice.

But here's what it does when subjected to strong acids.

Now here's some copper foil.

Look at those green hues in the nitric.

And the dark blue in the vial on the right.

We expected a deep blue color in the sulfuric - this was our first hint that acid had something

wrong with it.

Now let's look at these two sparkly golden foils.

Here's foil A in the acids, and below is foil B.

Chemistry tells us they are not the same thing: A is reacting in the two right-most vials.

B on the other hand is only doing anything in this vial of goldish-red.

That is a liquid of near magical properties passed down from way back when chemists were

still alchemists.

That is a vial of "royal water" that you might have heard of its Harry Potter moniker,

aqua regia.

This stuff is made from 3 parts hydrochloric and 1 part nitric acid.

Unlike the aluminum, the copper, or metal A, this metal B does not do anything except

in the aqua regia.

That means metal B is gold.

Let that sink in for a minute … we have dissolved real gold.

Yep, aqua regia dissolves the noble metal of gold.

Hence its royal name.

So this begs the question what the heck is metal A?

It reacts the same as the copper.

Looking at its label, we're told it too is a mix of copper and zinc, making it … plain

old boring brass.

Not only did we dissolve gold, but we were able to spot an impostor, all by throwing

acids at them, making us...chemistry detectives.

Coming this fall to CBS!

Ok, maybe not.

BIG THANKS to Dr. Matt Hartings, a professor at American University here in Washington,

DC.

Again, Matt is a trained professional allowing us access to a facility where these demos

can be done safely.

Thanks Matt!

Thanks to ACS Central Science for making this video possible.

Acids can do all sorts of chemistry from catalyzing reactions to helping us investigate the origins

of life.

The New YouTube studio BETA is here! - Duration: 6:28.

Hello everyone!

I'm back and in this video, I'll be showing you the new YouTube Studio, plus, I'll be

comparing it with the old one SIDE BY SIDE!

If you want to get access to this while it is under development, click the "i" card on

the top right corner of this video.

[Intro]

Now, before we begin, let's see if we can hit 25 likes!

With that being said, let's get started.

This is how YouTube's creator studio looked like earlier.

Drum rolls please [Drum Rolls], this is how it looks now!

It is amazing!

The new YouTube creator studio, err, I mean the new YouTube Studio.

Yes, they changed its name from "Creator Studio" to "YouTube Studio".

Let's explore it!

First of all, as soon as I opened the new version, I noticed the difference in the URL.

Previously, it was "youtube.com/dashboard".

Now, it is "studio.youtube.com".

When the page loaded, I saw that the "Dashboard" and almost all other categories in the left

column were missing.

This is probably because it is in beta stage.

The next change I saw was the logo.

Earlier, the logo on the top left corner of the Creator Studio looked like this.

It had a YouTube logo with the country initials.

Now, the picture looks like this, a YouTube logo, with the word "Studio beta".

The categories menu can now be collapsed, which gives a lot of space for other stuff

like videos, comments, etc.

All the transitions are now really cool.

There is a new "filter" tool, below the search bar, which let's us

navigate and find videos quickly, but it is still not as powerful as the "Search Videos"

bar in Creator Studio.

The "inline editing" tool makes it much easier to edit simple stuff

like Video Titles, Descriptions and Visibility.

If you head on over to the top right section of this page, you'll notice that the notifications button is missing.

Instead, there is a "help" button.

Earlier, we could select videos by clicking on the checkbox near each video.

The checkboxes are now missing.

I recommend YouTube add these checkboxes again as they are very useful when we want to make

changes to all or some of our videos.

Now if you see here, "HD", "CC", etc. are missing.

The date on which a video was published is still there, but the "time" is missing.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see that now, you can choose how many

videos will be displayed on each page.

Earlier, you could choose the page number to go to that specific page.

Now, you can just click on "First page", "Previous Page", "Next Page" and "Last Page".

Now, enough of the "video" section.

Let's move to the "Analytics" section.

Notice that earlier, the page used to reload when we clicked on any button.

Now, the page doesn't reload, the new page is dynamically loaded using AJAX.

In the Analytics section, many subcategories are missing.

"Overview" subcategory now also contains the "Real-time" analytics, while earlier, they

both were different subcategories.

Earlier, the graphs used to have only blue colour.

Now, they have a variety of colours.

If you click on any of the graphs, you'll notice the smooth transition.

On the top left corner, there is a button to adjust the time period for the graph.

However, currently, it gives you very less freedom to explore the analytics.

To exit any graph, you just have to click the close button on the top right corner or

press the Escape (Esc) key on your keyboard.

I'll be skipping all other sub-categories in the analytics as if we see each subcategory,

it would make this video very long.

Moving to the "Comments" category, we see a new filter text box, which can be used as

a search box for comments.

The "Show comments from (video-name)" drop-down list is missing.

You can see a change in the colour pattern while you are moving your mouse.

If your "likely spam" subcategory is empty, you'll see a new image with the text "Nice

work, you're all caught up!" instead of "No comments to display" error.

Now, let's move our focus to the search bar that has been following us since the beginning

of this video.

Earlier, if you searched for anything in the top search bar in the creator studio, you

were redirected to the main YouTube search results.

Now, if you search for anything in the top search bar in the YouTube studio, you'll find

it much better as it only shows you results from your channel.

Moreover, it starts suggesting videos even before you have typed your full search term.

Nate Diaz on UFC return: I'll fight whenever the f**k I wanna fight! - Duration: 3:00.

Nate Diaz on UFC return: I'll fight whenever the f**k I wanna fight!

The Ultimate Fighter season five winner hasnt set foot inside the cage since suffering a majority decision loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 202, a defeat he vehemently contested.

Diaz was offered an interim lightweight title fight with the belts current holder, Tony Ferguson, back in May.

The Stockton native accepted the fight offer but quickly performed a U-turn as he believed he was being pressured into doing McGregors dirty work.

Late last month, UFC president , saying: Nate Diaz turned down a fight with everybody on the roster.

We've been offering him fights for (a long time). When was the last time he fought? A year-and-a-half-ago? For a year-and-a-half, we've been offering him fights.

As a promoter, we have to offer him fights. Because we're supposed to give him three fights a year.  So we continuously offer him fights and he continuously turns them down..

Diaz is happy to sit on the sidelines until he has a burning desire to fight again, despite public call-outs from Ferguson and welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.   I'm not fighting because I am a fighter.

You're fighting because someone's telling you to fight," 32-year-old Diaz said during an appearance on the .  I'll fight whenever the f**k I wanna fight. That's because I'm a G, n**ga, I'm a fighter myself. .

I ain't trying to do what nobody says, I'll do what I say.  And I will fight when I'm approached respectably." Diaz is willing to return to the Octagon in the near future, so long as the UFC approach him in an appropriate manner.  "Ask nicely, motherf**ers.

Ask nicely," he added. "I'm talking about the organization, the fighters.  And make it a big deal, because I'm not trying to just sign a contract just because it's a good idea for you guys..

Thin Beam of Light Portraits: Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey - Duration: 11:46.

In this video I'll show you how a small

slot of light can create amazing

eye catching portraits.

Hello I'm Gavin Hoey

and you're watching adoramatv brought to

you by Adorama the camera store that's

got everything for us photographers so I

wanted to do a shoot which was

a portrait, with a very thin slot of light.

Now to make that light happen,

I thought the best way about it

was to get the eVOLV 200

and the barn doors.

Take the barn doors down to a very thin slot

of light and use that.

So I did a test and the end result was

well not quite what I was hoping for

and it's down to a few things

including the gap between the light source

and the aperture, its less than two inches

with the barn doors so if

the gap was a problem,

I thought if I extend the gap

and the easiest way I could

think to do that was to get the snoot

for the eVOLV 200

that's about four and a half inches away

from the light source,

but it is a round aperture and I wanted

a slot of light, so my solution

is to get a couple of bits of duct tape,

stick two together for double thickness

and we'll stick the duct tape

or gaffers tape onto the snoot to make a little slot.

Now when I tested this,

this was much better, a much cleaner slot

but it was still a bit rectangular

so I needed a bigger gap

and this is where this comes in.

It's just a packing tube

that I've sawn into pieces

I quite like this one because it has a white interior

the shorter length increases my snoot to around

about nine inches

and once again I can use the duct tape

as a set of barn doors

and reduce the circle down

into a slot now testing

the shorter length gave me a pretty good shape

that I could really work with,

however if I switched out to the longer

length which is about 14 inches, the end

result was even thinner, even cleaner,

even more slot like so I've got

different ways of reducing my light

source down to a slot of light and what

I'm going to do in this video is show

you different ways that you can use that

in your small home studio,

so let's get the light set,

let's get a model in,

let's get shooting.

So today I've been joined by Jack who's

going to be the model for this shoot.

Now the first look would

to go for is a very thin slot of light

that just lights up Jack's face in order

to achieve it, I'm going to use

the longer of the tubes

which should give me

the tighter beam of light

that I'm looking for

however this is going to be

the most accurate of the beams as well,

so we need to get this exactly in the

right place, hence jack is sat down,

so let's see what we've got.

So I've got the tube roughly

in place I'm going to press the test button

on the back of a flash

to see where the light goes

so I can see when I press it

it's just getting Jack on the nose

rather than the eyes so I need to get

this light ever so slightly higher up,

so let's just raise this up a tiny little bit

and try that again

and there we go

with a little tiny adjustment I can get

that absolutely across his eyes,

right let's take a picture like this

see how it looks

but what I can't do really is take a meter reading

because when it's a tiny slot of light

if I get the meter even a little bit up and down

it's going to throw my meter reading out

so I'll use trial and error,

so the flash is set to a

quarter power, let's try this, see how it looks.

Okay Jack.

At a 1/4 power,

it looks alright but it is perhaps just a little

bit too bright,

so I'm going to bring it down by a stop

to 1/8th power.

Lets try that

and that looks pretty good,

so I'm happy with the exposure but am I

happy with the direction of the,

the slot of light?

Well we can actually change

that of course because I've got just

these bits stuck on the front of the

tube that's channeling the light,

so if I want to rotate them,

I just take them off

and stick them back on again.

So let's go for a vertical slot of light

rather than the horizontal slot of light

that should look different

but if I've moved it,

I need to check where the lights going to go,

so I'm going to come back to the

eVOLV 200 here and try and get it just

so that vertical slot is more or less on

Jack's eye.

Right let's try that, here we go

and in the vertical format,

that looks really good

but as photographers,

we often like diagonals

so what I'm going to settle on I think

is having these

in a diagonal setting

just to give a different look again.

Okay again I need

just need to check where that light goes

every time you move it is going to be

slightly different

perfect here we go.

So these look great

except the background is really, really

black which might be exactly what you

want but maybe I want to put

just a little bit of light back there?

So to add a bit more light,

I've got a second eVOLV 200,

I've got the barn doors on it

as well but let's just start by taking

a shot with the barn doors open

just so I get a wash of light

across the background

have a look at this,

here we go.

Now when I do that it kind of loses

a bit of the atmosphere

because it's much

brighter in the background

even though the eVOLV 200

is on its lowest possible power setting,

so here's what I'm going to do,

I'm going to get the eVOLV 200

and close down the barn doors

so we have just a small slot of light

from those as well so that should give

a little bit different light back there

with a little bit more control

over its spread,

here we go,

okay so this works really well,

we're going to take a few shots like this

and see what results we get

okay Jack are you ready?

Okay let's give you sunglasses,

something mean and moody.

So for the second setup

we've changed things around slightly,

Jack is now sat

on the floor

and I've changed to the shorter tube

which should give a slightly wider beam

now that's important because this time

we're going to try and

stretch out the length of the beam

by shining it down

and raking it across the wall

that should stretch the little thin stretch of light

out into a long stretch of light

however it needs very careful

accurate aiming which is why Sam's here

to help. Sam's going to be behind

the eVOLV 200, adjusting it and moving it

and getting it absolutely perfect

every single time.

Well maybe but we'll see,

okay so settings wise,

I'm going to do trial and error once again

so let's take a shot like this

and see how it looks with the

same settings that I had last time

I was shooting.

Right here we go Jack,

I need to come down to Jack's level

and we do a test shot

and as you can see,

we've set it up

and it looks pretty good

straight out of camera.

We have a nice

little thin beam of light

that's striking Jack straight in the face

so that looks really good,

so it's a really simple setup,

let's take some pictures

see how this looks.

For the last set up I'm going to use

just the snoot,

I'm still going to have a little

bits of tape to restrict the light down

but because it's the smallest and

closest to the light source,

it's going to give me the broadest light

with the softest edge,

now in this case what we're going to do

is use the smooth paper

background and just shine the light

across and onto Jack,

let's see how this looks.

So Jack you're going to go back

against the paper for me perfect

and look towards the light

but not at it

and that looks really good,

the paper,

although it's smooth,

when you shine a diagonal line across it

still brings up some texture.

Now what I'd like to do is add a bit of color

into this shot,

so the color,

I'm going to get from the second eVOLV 200

which I've got a blue gel on

now the blue gel,

I'm just going to bounce off the ceiling

and so it doesn't

actually hit Jack directly,

I'm going to use the barn doors

just to stop it coming

straight onto Jack

and casting a nasty shadow.

Now the idea with this is it

should just give a wash of blue light

which looks great

but what happens when

I turn on the snoot?

Well what should happen is I get a beam of light

that's brighter and it's almost like a knife

cutting through the blue

have a look at this,

here we go,

so that looks really good,

I like the color,

in fact I like the color so much I'm going to add

some more color to the shot

and in this case what I'm going to do,

is add in a red filter onto the snoot.

Now that should mean that

we have blue light in the background

and then a red beam coming through.

Now I've got to attach it using a bit of duct tape

and we'll just stick it on to the

front just like that but whenever you

had a gel to a light, you have to think

about the gel being like a pair of sunglasses,

it's going to reduce the

output of light a little bit,

so once again, I'll take a test picture

review and then adjust accordingly.

Here we go

and when I've adjusted the light,

the end result is really colourful

and very dramatic,

okay let's take a few shots

like this and see what results we get.

Jack are you ready?

Well I'm really pleased about how these

pictures came out but of course if this

is something you're going to do

regularly you need a more professional

result with a more predictable outcome

there's some great tools out there to

make that possible but considering this

was an old cardboard tube that I've

recycled, I think it worked well

in my small home studio.
