and I know it's a hard lock to get, very expensive
it is a BANHAM model 2002

as you see is apparently a dimple lock, twelve pinner, in two rows of six

and this is because the pins are facing each other, pushing each other, the pins of each pair are in contact

this is just an lock holder that does not have any transcendence

we will not be able to open the lock

we do not set the pins that are loose, no set pins, but we recover the pins that are overset

How do you pick this lock?
in this lock what we have to do is recover the pin that is overset

and what we do is compress the one that is loose, to let the one on the right enter the keyway

while I´m picking, I'm touching the pins, I'm looking for the solid one to compress the loose one and release tension
I am doing tension strokes, distensioning slightly, looking for overset pins to recover them
As you have already seen, the longer ones have a spool shape at its back that stays locked at the shear line
then, this first one is very easy to recover, but as you go forward in the picking, the plug rotates
and the last ones are very difficult to recover, in this in particular lock, the fifth pin
It usually gets stuck, it's the fifth of the right
and even if you compress the one on the left and loosen tension,
I do not recover it easily there are times that I have to counterotating using the pick
what I do is to support the pick in the keyway
and force in the opposite direction to the tensor
to turn the plug back a little
and trust that the one who is stuck jumps without jumping others
or trying to recover then the the rest of the pins
it´s a different picking method
which consists more in recovering the pins that are already overset, than in setting the pins that are not yet set
