Youtube daily report Jan 22 2019

"Mayores" is the song that changed my life.

It really just stemmed from personal experience of living in front of cameras.

Everybody being so nosy and they saw young Becks finally dating a grown man and they

were like, "oh my God".

It was like worldwide news.

All the Spanish morning talk shows that my grandma watches.

Everybody was talking about it.

And they were posting pictures of his body and what he does and my grandma calls me and

she's like

This isn't the verse that everybody's heard.

This is another verse that was so dirty, so dirty that we were like, guys, our song is

never, ever going to be played on radio, and not just on radio, but like, anywhere.

I don't know.

This might have gone a little too far, and we had to send it back and be like, okay,

Bad Bunny, I need you to be a little bit of a good bunny on this song, okay?

Guys at the time can say, I want a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets.

And it's like we want the same thing, too.

When I'm around other women and I'm talking with my girls, even my mom, we're like "Ooh,

you know, this, this, this," and we get into it and I'm just like dude, why don't we talk

about these things?

I love to be called really sweet things, but I like to be called really sexy things too.

That contrast, it's like, for me, the balance and the type of relationship I'm trying to

have because I want to spice things up and I want to have fun.

I want a hopeless romantic but at the same time, a guy who can get with it.

Every time that I would do an interview, people would be like, your lyrics are just so forward

and I'm like those are some pretty beautiful lyrics, alright?

You want a gentleman.

You want a best friend.

You want a good lover.

Why can't I say that?

That's nice, no?

I started dating somebody who was actually not that much older than me, but

maybe looked older than me.

And the way people received that and perceived that was like so outrageous, that I was like,

yo, imagine if he really was 45, 50.

I wouldn't be mad at that.

So when we're saying like Mayores, where it came from for me was more like a maturity.

At the time when the song came out, so many people didn't want to play the song on radio.

I'm talking about the kisses.

What everybody else is thinking about is not my fault.

Enrique Iglesias had that song where he would say...

"I want to finish in your mouth."

What?

Hold up.

And then he would finish the line and you're like, oh my God, I can't believe I thought that.

I'm so disgusting.

It was so cool because it's so creative.

That's the whole part of being an artist, right?

Getting people to think bigger and to feel things.

I think Mayores made a lot of people feel a lot of things.

It's really sweet.

I've seen some old, old, old couples come up to me and there'll be kind of a big age

difference, but at this point, they're so old that you can't even tell the age difference.

She'll be like...

And I'm just like, this is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I Got Caught Vaping At School - Suspended, Totally Grounded - Duration: 3:26.

It was like a couple days before the last day of school so like everyone was

pumped says it was almost summer break. My friend he asked me he said can you

bring your vape to school and I obviously said yes because he was like

one of my best friends. As since the vape wasn't mine I had to grabbed it

from my brother's room. So in the morning I switched the vape and put in my

backpack. I took it and I went in the car like "nothing, nothing nothing going

on here." And I get dropped off and then I go up to the front gate and my friends

already waiting there for me. So then we went into the school and tried finding

the place to like you know vape. Like the hallways were like

crowded with supervisors and the bathroom was the only way so, me and

my friend went into the bathroom while my guy friend and his friend stayed

outside. And we started vaping and one of my friends came in and says "what are you

guys doing" and I blew the smoke right in her face. And then after that we left and

went into class. Little did I know the girl that saw me vaping actually went

to go snitch on me. So she went up to the office and reported me. So then I was in

class and a supervisor comes in the class and goes up to my teacher and

talks to her. And then the teacher says "where are you Roxy?" And then I raised my

hand and the supervisor came up to my desk. And she was like "where are your

things?" And I told her "these are my things."

They weren't really my things. They were my friends things because obviously if I

said my backpack was mine, the vape was inside of it. I went up to the office

walking with the supervisor. And then I walked into the vice principal's office

and she was telling me that I got reported for vaping and that she needed

to Pat me down and to look into my stuff and everything to make sure if I had the

vapor...not so obviously since this was not my backpack there was no vape inside.

And she got suspicious and asked me to tell her the truth like were's the vape

and I told her "it's in the classroom." And I told her it was in a backpack. And then

they brought my friend up and my backpack and that's when my friend

confessed to saying that that my backpack was the one that she had in the backpack I

brought up to the office was not my backpack. And that's when the

vice-principal I really like mad. I started saying "I cannot trust you

anymore like you really disobeyed me you really lied to me I'm not able to trust

you anymore." So then that's when my friend left and

like I was in office still and she was like saying she was going to have to have to email my

parents and tell them that they had to come pick me out because I got suspended.

So then when I got in the car I was crying obviously and my brother was just

ranting at me. And I got home and I got my phone taken

away I got grounded for the whole summer. Just stayed in my house doing nothing.

And no phone so I was just pretty much sitting on the couch drawing or doing

whatever and that definitely taught me a lesson to not bring a vape to school

anymore...And yeah don't don't just don't!

Opening Day South Carolina Turkey Hunt | Bob Redfern's Outdoor Magazine - Duration: 28:36.

[announcer] This week on Bob Redfern's Outdoor Magazine, Bob takes us on an awesome opening

day turkey hunt in South Carolina.

Plus, we take a look at South Carolina's freshwater coast.

And on this week's Sportsman's Table, we feature a South Carolina certified shrimp and grits

recipe.

All this and a whole lot more, and it begins all right now.

[music]

Whoo! [gun shots]

Oh, beautiful.

Awesome.

There he goes! [gun shots]

Nicely done.

That's what I come down here for. Whoo who!

[music]

Bob Redfern: Well, folks, on this week's show, it's the opening day of turkey season here

in South Carolina.

And you know, 12 months have gone by.

You end up the season dejected if you don't get a bird.

Bird hunting has gotten a little bit more tricky.

And, you know, for most of you hunters out there, you know what I'm talking about.

You've got predators, coyotes, all kinds of things.

And then we go through the heat of the summer.

We see some turkeys out there.

Then you get into the fall season.

It's deer season.

And what do you see most of?

Turkeys, okay?

Bob Redfern: And from that, then after deer season's over in January, here, then we start

putting the cameras up.

Or, some of y'all keep cameras up all year long.

And you see the birds migrate in and out of the fields late in the afternoon.

Well, as always here in South Carolina, we've got 'em on camera.

I've been tracking these birds since January.

And as seasons come and seasons go, weather changes, all kinds of wives' tale stories

about, "Well, have they already laid their eggs in January?

Now they're in the second mating season."

I don't know.

All I want to know is, I've got gobblers and they're talking to me.

At least I can track 'em when I get up early in the morning.

And, well, we had that on the first day here.

Bob Redfern: And I tell you what.

Well, I guess all of that amping up, all of that excitement, and I've got a new shotgun,

I've got everything out, I got all the decoys dusted off and I'm ready to go.

I've got my trusted cameraman with me.

And you know, I'll tell you what.

A lot of folks say, "Well, Bob, how many turkeys do you kill?"

Well, to me, it's not about taking a bird.

It's about filming a bird.

Yeah.

And I try to make it so it's entertaining for you all.

But, again, I get a lot of opportunities to hunt.

But when you get one and you can down a bird on film, that's really the key.

Bob Redfern: And so, with this season that started, I, well, okay ... I tell you what.

As things come and go, we got out there early.

First light, gobbles everywhere.

And as you can hear, the whole area is lit up.

Now, I've been tracking about 12 to 14 gobblers over the past six to eight months.

And they're out there and they're talking to me.

We got a perfect setup over the field.

I got the decoys out there.

And in comes a bird.

Well, I just gotta tell you.

Let me show you what happens.

[music]

[gun shot]

[gun shot]

Bob Redfern: Well, as you can see, I don't get 'em all.

Anxiety ... I wanted the birds to separate a little bit.

I didn't want to take two birds with one shot.

So, again, excuses?

Nah.

It's about filming a bird and not downing a bird, okay?

I really thought the hunt was over.

I thought, "Okay.

Yeah.

You're a little dejected.

You missed the bird."

But on my defense, these birds are evasive, okay?

And he got spooked a little bit.

Little separation, again, as you can see.

Bob Redfern: But anyway, we took a break, started to reflect on what was and, again,

what might be.

With that, we come back, get back set up in the afternoon.

I hear a few birds off in the distance.

I thought, "Hmm.

Maybe this afternoon's going to be a little promising."

And again, had not had an opportunity to scout much in the afternoon.

But we're going to try it anyway.

Again, it's opening day.

You're out there.

You're all ready.

And so you gotta start somewhere.

And so we did.

We sit down, give a little call.

Got some answers.

Waited a few more minutes, and about 45 minutes later, in comes a bird.

Well, let's take a look and let's see what happened later that afternoon.

[music]

[gun shot]

[gun shot]

Bob Redfern: Got it.

Oh, man.

Well, folks, listen.

I'll tell you what.

Turkey hunting opening day, it's been an adventure.

Birds talked a lot early this morning, been gobbling.

This year, I'm on my own place, something I've developed here over the past year.

Birds have been in this area quite a bit.

I've been watching them, tracking them on game cameras.

Again, opening day in South Carolina, it's always exciting.

Not much talking this afternoon.

But with that bird right there, he just popped though the woods and I wasn't going to let

him go.

Looked like he had probably, maybe a six, eight-inch beard.

From what I could tell from here, just a little bit of a beard that's been, looked like, pulled

away.

Bob Redfern: Hey, listen.

I have to give the folks at Browning a new push here.

This is the new Browning Synergy Turkey over and under shotgun.

What an awesome gun.

It is just one of those shotguns that I'm very familiar with.

Shooting an over and under, you've seen me do it with quail, sporting clays.

But now, for turkey, all camo'd up, extended turkey choke tubes, three and a half inch.

Again, the Browning Synergy, it is one of those guns that truly is the best there is.

Bob Redfern: All right.

Let's go take a look at this bird.

I think he's done flopping for a while.

Oh.

And I forgot to tell you about the new Browning turkey loads.

Browning, the best there is in ammunition, three and a half inch, right there, number

fours.

And there be the wad.

Okay.

All right.

Let's lay this thing down here.

Let's see what we got here.

Good spurs.

Probably a good, oh, I'd say, at least inch and three quarters.

Those might even go a little bit more than that.

Nice, full beard here.

But as you can see, what I thought initially he might have been a jake, but he wasn't.

He's lost some of his beard here.

And that's a good probably six inches, maybe longer.

But some of it's broke off already.

Bob Redfern: Well, I know it was exciting for you guys.

You're probably going to ask the question, "Well, okay, Redfern.

You shot twice."

Well, thank goodness that I had two shots.

That bird, as you saw, came in, popped in, silent.

Tried to think silent but deadly.

He moved over to that decoy.

He got spooked because, again, I was waiting long enough.

Because, again, I wanted to see him strut a little bit more.

Something spooked him.

He turned and, as you always well know, when a bird turns his back to you, it's going to

be hard unless his head's up.

And that one, at about 72 yards, and I stepped it off, he turned his back.

I popped the cap.

It just bounced off.

Lucky for me, I had that second shot in that new Browning Synergy over and under turkey.

Bob Redfern: And, again, we've talked about that.

You've seen it on the show.

It's one of those things, that if I hadn't had that second shot in that over and under,

I would never, I don't think, been able to have got that with either a pump or an automatic

shotgun.

I've tried that before.

You all have known that you've missed a bird and you've tried to get that automatic up.

I don't care if you've got five rounds in there.

But there was just something about having that over and under and that second.

It was just more responsive.

He turned to the left, up his head, and boom.

And down he went.

Bob Redfern: With that, I tell you what, it was exciting opening day for me, one, well,

I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

And trying to get a bird, well, it's never easy.

And even not even easy for us who do TV.

[music]

The Sportsman's Table, brought to you by the South Carolina Department of

Agriculture.

Remember, buy South Carolina.

It's a matter of taste.

Bob Redfern: Welcome in to this week's Sportsman's Table recipe.

We're here at Frank's Restaurant in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.

And my guest is chef/owner of Southern Comforts Restaurant, Greg [Metcalf 00:14:29].

And I have to tell you, Greg, thank you so much.

I am just so amazed at what comes out of Pawley's Island.

And, again, you've got another great restaurant to come visit.

Greg: Well, I'll tell you, Bob, I am impressed myself.

Our family's been vacationing down here for about 20 years.

And my wife and I just moved down about a year ago and opened up Southern Comforts Restaurant

and Bakery right down the street.

We'd had a restaurant up in the mountains of North Carolina for several years, pretty

much the same concept, but just wholesome food, freshly grown, as local as possibly

can be.

But I'll tell you what.

We're the new kids on the block.

And there are so many great restaurants in Pawley's Island.

That's what drew us to open up a restaurant here.

Bob Redfern: Oh, wow.

Greg: To keep us on the cutting edge of what's going on.

And they certainly do it around here.

Bob Redfern: Well, what have we got today?

Greg: Today we're going to do one of our specialties.

It's the shrimp and grits with our pimento cheese grits.

We use an Ash County cheese out of North Carolina, and then our fresh, local shrimp that we just

went down to the docks, Georgetown Independent Seafoods, I go to, or I go to the East Street

Docks right down there to get our shrimp.

It's usually about twice a week or so.

Bob Redfern: Oh, great.

Greg: We've got some assorted peppers over here, some Andouille sausage, which, believe

it or not, is a Lowe's product here.

But they make all their own sausages in-house.

Bob Redfern: I got you.

Greg: So we gave them a recipe and they make ours for us.

Bob Redfern: That's wonderful.

Greg: It works out pretty good.

Bob Redfern: Yeah.

Greg: But we're going to start off with this.

And we don't want to overcook our shrimp a little bit.

So we're really going to start off with our vegetables.

We're going to heat it up a little bit.

We've got some butter in here, unsalted butter.

We're going to start off with the peppers a little bit, give it some color.

Bob Redfern: Well, you know, shrimp and grits, when people of shrimp and grits, they think

of South Carolina.

Greg: Well, interesting enough, years ago, probably twenty-something odd years ago, I

worked in Charleston.

And it was my first experience of really southern cooking.

And I had a lady out there that had been cooking all her life.

And she was an older lady.

And she taught me the shrimp and grits.

Bob Redfern: Oh, wow.

Greg: And, of course, people do it differently.

In New Orleans, they've got the tomato broth.

This is going to be more of a Cajun cream broth as far as that.

Bob Redfern: [crosstalk 00:16:10] I got you.

How long you gonna cook the vegetables?

Greg: We're gonna cook 'em.

We're gonna keep 'em al dente and keep 'em real colorful.

But we want to get 'em going here a little bit for us.

It's probably going to take us just a minute or two to get those going.

And then we'll toss in our Andouille sausage.

And we'll do the shrimp last, actually, 'cause we don't want them to be overcooked.

A lot of folks will overcook the shrimp.

And then it's dried out and it just doesn't give you that good flavor and texture that

you need.

Bob Redfern: It's like eating rubber.

I know.

Greg: [crosstalk 00:16:29] Absolutely.

Absolutely.

We've seen that all over.

That's one of the nice things.

You don't want to ruin a good fresh product like that, either, as well.

Bob Redfern: That's true.

Exactly.

If folks want to log on, tell 'em your website while you're flipping, there.

Greg: I certainly can.

W-W dot Southern Comforts Restaurant and Bakery dot com.

Bob Redfern: Oh, wow.

There you go.

Greg: Like I said, we also run a bakery on part of the restaurant.

My wife is the baker.

She's won awards for her carrot cake and her chocolate bourbon pecan pie.

Bob Redfern: Oh, my weaknesses.

Greg: Which is one of the biggest sellers.

Absolutely.

Bob Redfern: Oh, my goodness.

Greg: Now we're going to throw a couple big ones in there for some garnish.

Bob Redfern: You know, just the mixture of the sausage, just the vegetables, it has a

great aroma.

Greg: Well, you know, interestingly enough, one of the first times I ever had shrimp and

grits, coming from the Midwest, as you probably well know, grits only come with cheese.

Bob Redfern: Yes.

Greg: Or come with butter or ham.

Nobody puts shrimp in their grits.

When I was in Charleston 25 years ago, I said, "Shrimp and grits?

What are you talking about?"

We tried some and absolutely fell in love with it, to be honest with you.

Bob Redfern: But this is a different twist.

It's got a lot of color to it.

Greg: It is.

Bob Redfern: Yeah.

Greg: It's got a lot of culture to it.

And of course, you know, they're using local products they have.

And nice vegetables, and sausage and that all worked out well.

And the grits, of course.

You gotta have your yellow stone-ground grits, which we get out of Duluth Mills in Columbia,

South Carolina.

Bob Redfern: There you go.

Greg: But I think, you know ... And then we put our homemade pimento cheese in there,

as well.

So it has a little bit of a twist as far as the flavor is concerned.

Now, we like lots of vegetables and lots of shrimp and lots of sausage in there, because

it is a meal.

That's the one thing about shrimp and grits is that if you don't put a lot of stuff in

there, some people walk away a little hungry, more grits than they do the body of what's

going on.

Bob Redfern: Well, they're not going to walk away hungry with this, boy.

Greg: Absolutely.

Well, now we're going to put a little bit of our chef's salt in.

We use a lot of the chef's salt in the restaurant to season our steaks, burgers, seafood, the

whole nine yards.

It's got ingredients of five different items, and we don't tell anybody what it is.

We'd have to kill you if we did.

Just kidding.

Bob Redfern: I got you.

Greg: So it is secret.

And then of course, our Cajun spice here a little bit.

We also make that in-house, too.

Everything we do is made in the restaurant.

We don't have a freezer.

So we can't buy anything in and just store it.

Basically, what we buy in, we buy in by the day or a couple of days, and keep it as fresh

as we possibly can.

And then we make all our collard greens, the macaroni and cheese, the meatloaf and all

those types of things every single day.

Bob Redfern: And that's truly, uniquely, South Carolina.

Greg: It truly is.

It truly is.

There's a lot of places that ... Especially this day and age, it's easy to get hooked

on the pre-boxed stuff and so on.

But the one nice thing about a lot of the restaurants here in Pawley's Island that I've

visited is that you can tell they do everything fresh.

Bob Redfern: I get you.

Greg: And especially with the qualified chefs that they have down here-

Bob Redfern: I'll tell you what, I'll help.

Greg: We're going to take a second here and just heat up these grits real quick.

Bob Redfern: Okay.

Greg: Okay.

Bob Redfern: All right, Greg.

Greg: Well, we're going to finish off with a little heavy cream.

Bob Redfern: Oh, wow.

Greg: That's going to make it.

Then reduce that down a little bit.

Make it a little thicker for us, give us the good flavor.

Bob Redfern: [crosstalk 00:19:11] You know, it's just amazing the compilation of all of

those ingredients.

Greg: [crosstalk 00:19:17] Well, it's a wonderful, colorful dish, too.

Bob Redfern: [crosstalk 00:19:17] that it comes down to that.

Yeah, it is.

Greg: [crosstalk 00:19:19] is what I like about it.

And it's got everything you need in it.

You got your meats and your vegetables and, of course, your fresh, local shrimp.

Bob Redfern: And, of course, our Adluh grits.

Greg: Absolutely.

Bob Redfern: This is truly a certified SC-

Greg: Yeah, I've really.

Bob Redfern: Grown and bred-

Greg: Grits are a phenomenal product to work with.

We do grit cakes and jalapeno grit cakes and all kinds of good stuff.

Bob Redfern: [crosstalk 00:19:40] Oh, that's awesome.

Greg: We're going to go ahead and just come on off here.

Bob Redfern: Folks, if you want a copy of Greg's recipe, just log on to BobRedfern.com.

Click on The Sportsman's Table and right there it'll be.

Greg: All righty.

And there we have it.

As we call this nice little cream sauce in the south, we're going to put some gravy on

there.

Bob Redfern: A little touch.

Greg: That's right.

Bob Redfern: That's great.

Greg: Make it the way that we'd like it.

I'm gonna wipe the plate just a little bit.

Bob Redfern: Presentation, yeah.

Greg: Yeah.

We're going to take these big ones here and put 'em right on top so people know.

Bob Redfern: That there's actually shrimp in them there grits.

Greg: [crosstalk 00:20:16] Got some great shrimp.

Bob Redfern: There you go.

Greg: Yeah.

I think they'll find out as soon as they bite into it.

Bob Redfern: Yeah.

Greg: Of course, a little fresh parsley always never hurts.

There we go.

And there you have it, our local, low country southern shrimp and grits from Southern Comforts

Restaurant and Bakery.

Bob Redfern: [crosstalk 00:20:26] Great.

Thank you so much.

I love it, man.

Thank you for being a guest.

Greg: [crosstalk 00:20:32] Thank you, Bob.

I appreciate it.

It's been a pleasure.

Bob Redfern: I appreciate it.

How Much Water to Bring on a Run || REI - Duration: 2:00.

all right so how much water should you actually bring trail running hydration

is super important but everybody's needs are a little bit different so let's talk

about some general guidelines

so we're talking runs that are 45 minutes or longer here but number one is

pre hydration two hours before you even get out on the trails you want to drink

17 20 ounces of water that's about half an algae and bottle or 500 milliliters

and that's to make sure you're hydrated before you even start your run during

your run you want to be drinking water about every 20 minutes and that's a nice

solid sip 5 to 10 ounces is good that's a 150 300 milliliters which is

right about that end of the Nalgene bottle if that's how you're measuring

you can also take smaller sips but you'll need to do them more frequently

so find what works best for you as far as drinking water while you're out there

one other thing we should talk about is electrolytes so electrolytes are ions

that help your body run better in addition to losing fluids on your run

especially for longer hotter runs or runs where you're sweating a lot

you lose electrolytes too so you have to make sure and replace them while you're

out there you can use electrolyte drinks tablets powders like this one or even

salt tabs some runners who get cramps swear by salt tabs but find what works

best for you post runs don't forget to replace your fluids after you get back

as well if you really really want to get into it you can weigh yourself before

the run and after the run and then drink 16 to 24 ounces of water for every pound

that you lost while you're out there I'll let you do the math on that one

if you're curious for more we have some videos on nutrition for trail running

and if you haven't already go ahead and subscribe below and until then we'll see

you next time or maybe even out on the trails

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lauds the N64 while raising money for transgender charity on Twitch livestr - Duration: 2:19.

Photo: Scott Heins (Getty Images) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the newly elected U.S

Representative for New York's 14th congressional district, earned some serious nerd cred this month when she casually quoted Alan Moore's Watchmen to her gazillion Twitter followers

Now, the young, outspoken politician is again demonstrating her pop culture bonafides, this time in response to some dumb comments from The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin

Some context: Sorkin took to CNN over the weekend to tell "the new crop of young people who were just elected to Congress" that "they now need to stop acting like young people." He also criticized this younger class for focusing on what he called "Republican talking point" issues like "transgender bathrooms." This led Ocasio-Cortez to clap back at him on Twitter—"we wouldn't need to talk about bathrooms at all if we acted like adults, washed our hands + minded our own business instead of trying to clock others," she wrote—before proving just how impactful it can be to "act like a young person."Advertisement Twitch

Livestream. Donkey Kong 64. Throw these words at just about anybody else in Congress and watch their eyes glaze over

Ocasio-Cortez, on the other hand, doubled down on her commitment to transgender rights by joining a DK64 Twitch livestream that sought to raise money for Mermaids, a charity supporting gender diverse and transgender children

The campaign was led by YouTuber H.Bomberguy (née Harry Brewis), who just about jumped out of his chair when Ocasio-Cortez called in to chat about the government shutdown, the transgender community, and her own gaming past

She rides for the N64, by the way, and seems particularly smitten by Pokemon Snap

Advertisement  The campaign, per CNET, raised more than $340,000 for Mermaids. As for Ocasio-Cortez's participation, it helped illustrate the "zero fucks" she gives about pushback from either the right or the left

As journalist Peter Sterne put it on Twitter, "There are 2 things that people really like about @AOC: she has bold, uncompromising political ideas; and she tries to meet people wherever they are (Twitter, Instagram, protests, community meetings, Twitch streams) to talk to people about those ideas." Hell yes.  Advertisement

Things Judaism has taught me about life - by Rabbi Sacks - Duration: 6:30.

Wisdom is free, yet it's also the most expensive thing there is, for we tend acquire it through

failure or disappointment or grief.

That is why we try to share our wisdom, so that others will not have to pay the price

for it that we paid.

These are some of the things Judaism has taught me about life, and I share

them with you: • Never try to be clever.

Always try to be wise.

• Respect others even if they disrespect you.

• Never seek publicity for what you do.

If you deserve it, you will receive it.

If you don't, you will be attacked.

In any case, goodness never needs to draw attention to itself.

• When you do good to others, it is yourself, your conscience and your self-respect, that

will be the beneficiary.

The greatest gift of giving is the opportunity to give.

• In life, never take shortcuts.

There is no success without effort, no achievement without hard work.

• Keep your distance from those who seek honour.

Be respectful, but none of us is called on to be a looking glass for those in love with

themselves.

• In everything you do, be mindful that God sees all we do.

There is no cheating God.

When we try to deceive others, usually the only person we succeed in deceiving is ourself.

• Be very slow indeed to judge others.

If they are wrong, God will judge them.

If we are wrong, God will judge us.

• Greater by far than the love we receive is the love we give.

• It was once said of a great religious leader, that he was a man who took God so

seriously that he never felt the need to take himself seriously at all.

That is worth aspiring to.

• Use your time well.

Life is short, too short to waste on television, computer games and unnecessary emails; too

short to waste on idle gossip, or envying others for what they have, too short for anger

and indignation; too short to waste on criticising others.

"Teach us to number our days", says the Psalm, "that we may get a heart of wisdom".

But any day on which you have done some good to someone has not been wasted.

• You will find much in life to distress you.

People can be careless, cruel, thoughtless, offensive, arrogant, harsh, destructive, insensitive,

and rude.

That is their problem, not yours.

Your problem is how to respond.

"No one", a wise lady once said, "can make you feel inferior without your permission".

The same applies to other negative emotions.

Don't react.

Don't respond.

Don't feel angry, or if you do, pause for as long as it takes for the anger to dissipate,

and then carry on with the rest of life.

Don't hand others a victory over your own emotional state.

Forgive, or if you can't forgive, ignore.

• If you tried and failed, don't feel bad.

God forgives our failures as soon as we acknowledge them as failures – and that spares us from

the self-deception of trying to see them as success.

No one worth admiring ever succeeded without many failures on the

way.

The great poets wrote bad poems; the great artists painted undistinguished canvases;

not every symphony by Mozart is a masterpiece.

If you lack the courage to fail, then you lack the courage to succeed.

• Always seek out the friendship of those who are

strong where you are weak.

None of us has all the virtues.

Even a Moses needed an Aaron.

The work of a team, a partnership, a collaboration with others who have different gifts or different

ways of looking at things, is always greater than any one individual

can achieve alone.

• Create moments of silence in your soul if you want to hear the voice of God.

• If something is wrong, don't blame others.

Ask, how can I help to put it right?

• Always remember that you create the atmosphere that surrounds you.

If you want others to smile, you must smile.

If you want others to give, you must give.

If you want others to respect you, you must show your respect for them.

How the world treats us is a mirror of how we treat the world.

• Be patient.

Sometimes the world is slower than you are.

Wait for it to catch up with you, for if you are on the right path, eventually it will.

• Never have your ear so close to the ground that you can't hear what an upright person

is saying.

• Never worry when people say that you are being too idealistic.

It is only idealistic people who change the world, and do you really want, in the course

of your life, to leave the world unchanged?

• Be straight, be honest, and always do what you say you are going to do.

There really is no other way to live.

5 Winter Trends To Wear Now | Men's Fashion Trends Winter 2019 - Duration: 4:17.

What's up, guys? I'm Brian Sacawa, you're watching He Spoke Style, and today I'm

showing you five winter trends to wear right now.

[MUSIC]

First up, trend number one. White

pants. Now, looking through the London and Pitti street style photos, I saw a lot

of guys wearing white trousers or white jeans, like I'm wearing here. White pants

are typically seen as more of a summer thing, which I think makes them even more

unexpected and impactful when worn in the wintertime. White pants are a blank

slate, which means that pretty much anything goes in terms of the rest of

your outfit. With this look, I kept it kind of preppy and sporty with a classic

navy peacoat, denim button-up shirt, and navy silk knit tie. Now, because it is

colder out, I layered in a cardigan, which also gives a little bit of a color

contrast. The scarf is by Drake's. More to add in some pattern than to

actually stay warm. Watch is the Cartier Tank Americaine. And suede tassel loafers

are by Morjas. Trend number two is all about doing more with less.

Dressing tonally means that you are building an outfit around a single color.

And it's really amazing how much of a statement you can make with this kind of

simplicity. When you're building a look like this, you want to choose colors in

the same family, but not the exact same colors. You can see here that the browns

in the jacket, turtleneck, pants, pocket square, and shoes are all different. Now,

another trick to dressing like this is to add in some pattern. My blazer has a

very small houndstooth, or puppytooth, pattern, which helps to add some interest

and break up the monotony of a single- color look. One place I did not use brown

is on my wrist. This is the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph. Well, from doing more

with less to doing more with more. Trend number three is the statement coat. I

think it's always good to have, in your outerwear collection, one big, bold

statement piece. This coat with the big houndstooth

pattern is by Michael Andrews Bespoke. It also has a raglan sleeve, which is

another thing that I saw a lot of in many of the street style photos. Best way

to style a statement piece is to keep the rest of your outfit simple. My blazer

by Jake Mueser and pants by Michael Andrews Bespoke are both flannel and in

solid colors. I did throw in a little pattern with a stripe of my shirt and

very subtle check pattern in the tie. Watch is, again,

the Tank Americaine. And leather tassel loafers are by Johnston & Murphy. Trend

number four. Wearing a turtleneck underneath a button-up shirt. For me, this

style is very reminiscent of a look with an ascot. It has that same sort of

elegance and poise to it. However, I will say that this look does come with a high

degree of difficulty. You've kind of got to get it just right to pull it off.

First, because it does remind me of an ascot, it makes me think ultra classic.

Charcoal flannel pants, white OCBD, and a little bit of sartorial flair with this

gun check blazer. Unbuttoning the shirt. Now, you could do this a couple different

ways, but I prefer to have a few buttons unbuttoned. I think it lends itself well

to making it feel a little more casual and less stuffy. One final thing I think

is important is to have some pattern. Obviously, I have the check of the blazer.

And then the subtle herringbone of my coat, which is by Ring Jacket. Finally,

trend number five. Wearing a button-up shirt underneath a turtleneck. This is

not something that I saw a lot of, but I did spot it on a friend of mine, Matt

Hranek, who is the men's style editor at CN Traveler. It's a very subtle flourish

and it's also something that I think is pretty unexpected. It's also kind of

practical because it does really give you a nice extra layer of warmth around

the neck. Now, speaking of warmth. The suede shearling trucker jacket by Valstar is

also extremely warm. And keeping with the kind of rugged, urban explorer theme here,

I have on some classic Levi's 511s. My Rolex GMT Master on the wrist. And

finished off with these great oxblood boots by Bostonian. Alright, there you

have it! Five winter trends that I am personally feeling this season. You know,

trends play a very, very, very small role in the vocabulary of my personal style.

But every so often I find some that speak to me and I feel comfortable

wearing. Leave your comments below. Let me know which look you liked best. Thumbs up

if you liked this video. Hit that subscribe button. And until next time,

thanks for watching and stay tailored.

La raison de ma longue absence... (maladie) - Duration: 7:53.

Hello It's dayoung

Today i'm gonna talk about what's happen to dayoung for 2 months

I didn't make any video and give news about that at all

Actually So many people sent me messages like what's happen dayoung we miss your video!!

So i feel i have to my situations about why i couldn't make anything

I think some people still have remember my video about depressions

As i said in this video i have depression but these days my depression be severed

Even i can't wake up and sleep too

I don't have any passion and energy too

All of emotion is complicated and it came to me

So it was really hard to do something by myself

So i start to see a doctor

i have treated me for 2 month

This is my pills

wow...

You look like drugs dealer

Yes maybe but i'm not

You should be careful what you say

You can sell to you

10 Dollars

You have to be careful to say this kinds of things if korean police arrest me what you are gonna do?

Anyway i've taken 2 pills at morning and 2 pills at night

Definitely i don't feel what is different for 2 weeks since i start to see a doctor

But after 2 week i became less sensitive and less anger

Also i can feel happiness and got some passions too for what i wanna do

This is a big changement because i didn't do anything before i start to see a doctor even i knew what i wanna do

I think your audiences don't know your personality well

I know you guys have watched my only in videos

Actually i'm so sensitive person

Everything have to be sure

This is one part of my disease

With this pills i feel better you know?

I can't feel sensitivity, no enerty and stresses too

I feel passions, calming, and carrying on

So with doctor i've gotten goot treatment i'm overcoming now so i can make video finally

But this is temporarily treatment?

I asked my doctor and she said yes but i should follow her steps so well to be fine

Like never stop to take pills without doctor's admition

Now i'm so happy If someone couldn't handle your life like me you should see a doctor definitely it will help you a lot

As i told you in my last depression video. depression is not just your feeling problem

This is real disease ! Your brain, hormones and all of chemicals will be changed too

Definitely we need pills

And the most best part of this treatment is that makes me stop to give up life and avoid something

When i have some friction in my life before, i became victim directly

Like what's happen to me i don't wanna do anymore

I'm gonna go away

Just for small stuff

Yes for just small things

I knew i'm pussy but....

I think mental problem makes all of situations be complicated ...

Yes.. our begeining was pretty... complicated too......

Maybe we can make video about that "How international couple can stay together for a long time"

Some secrets for that

When i took one of this pill (for Insomnia) i got funny experiences at night

I have severe insomnia

So doctor offer me one pill for that

This pill capacity is less than common adult capacity

But when i took it !! Wow...

I never ever take any dugs in my life

But if i can take some drugs

I think this drugs feeling is exactly same feeling with my insomnia pill

Because when i took it i start to feel sleepy

I was excited and got energies

After i took pills i handled my blackhead by mirror but at this moment suddenly i looked like goblin!

Purple Face

Don't take any drugs

This is not drugs this is insomnia pill!!!!!

Don't drugs

Anyway when i looked at him there were 2 togen!!!!!!

So i asked him why are you 2 person...?

This is my last memories and black out

Next morning he explained me what's happen in this night....

I just took her on bed .... it's time to sleep.... Please sleep... I had to film her at this moment

So i told my doctor this story and she said my pill is less than adult common capacity per day

But she said i'm so sensitive for insomnia pill so it happen....

- So she erase my insomnia pill - This pill is super dangerous

You should follow only doctore process for this kinds of pills

Yes Yes i just have follown her soooo well i think i am a so good patient

If she said no! i accept "ok noooo~~~"

If she say do it, i accept "Yes ~~~~"

It was a little bit hard time and period for me

But i feel it's time to do something for me and to repect my life

So i take my time for 2 month

But im comming like that!

And don't worry about me too much cuz i feel better I have passions again

I don't know exactly how long i have to fight with my disease more

But i can be sure i will not give up

The reason why i make this video is to explain my sitautions

Also if someone have heavy feeling like me i wan't my video can help you. and i hope you know you are not only one person who has this painful

A lot of people still try to over come !

This is not your fault so let's see a doctor together and cheer up together

Ok puku? Right?

Yes she agrees with us

You are not alone

I know most of my audiences have some images about me as a happy dayoung and cute dayoung

Everyone have darkness in our mind definitely

Differences are if your darkness size super big or not Or if you can handle your darkness or not

Never feel you are broken

This is not broken we are just sick

We have a cold in our heart

That's so cute
