hello everyone and welcome back to another video today I'm going to be
showing you how I edit a photo in Lightroom. This is gonna be one from my
recent trip to Wilson's Prom. I went with my friends and we got some pretty cool
shots at the sand dunes at the Big Drift with some fairy lights so I'm gonna be
editing that shot so without further ado we'll jump right into Lightroom and get
this video going. Alright so now i'm in Lightroom I'm gonna go ahead and choose
a photo that I want to edit.....I think this one with the fairy lights looks
pretty cool it's got a lot of depth to it yeah this one I think actually wait
there was a good one yeah that one so we're going to edit
this one because it's pretty simple I like how the lights are set out it shows good
depth in the image and we can see a little bit of the sunset here which I
can bring out if I decide to do that so I'll go ahead and put the exposure up a
little bit and then bring the highlights down I want to be able to get that
sunset in the background and I can really do that by getting a gradient
tool which is then bringing that down putting the exposure up
just a little bit then bringing that down. Something like that maybe bit less. Alright so we
get out of that and then I can change these yellows because they're bit too
yellow for me I like them a bit more orange so I can just go down to my hue
here and click on the orange and bring it a bit to the left something like that
boost them a bit with the saturation but I can do the same to the yellows bring
them a bit to the left for the sunset back to bring them back something like
that looks pretty cool maybe bit bit more yellow yeah something
like that so go ahead brighten that up a bit
right now go back to the tone curve so this is where I like to add a bit of fade
in tones my images so I can go ahead and bring that up a tiny bit. Get some fade
pretty simple and then to add colours into that fade you go into the RGB which is
red green and blue sliders and I like to do these just very minimally because
they can tend to ruin an image I feel if you do it too much so just going to bring these
Reds down a tiny bit the greens up a little bit not too much
and then the blues bring them up a little bit and then as you can see that's
changed the colour of the yellow so go ahead and bring that a bit more to the left.
already a big difference they're just from those simple steps so we can go
ahead now we can go down to noise reduction because I was taking it at night
so there would have been alot more grain in the image so I can bring that up a little
bit and I want to keep that detail so we don't lose any of the detail in the
image and we can go to our green slide if you like and say there's a bit of
green you don't want to make that a bit more yellow so i'll bring that to the left
and saturation up and brightness so something like that's already pretty
good I think depending on your style of photography you might vary maybe the
colors might be different but that's a pretty simple way to edit this photo
Thanks guys for watching this is the first of many editing tutorials to come
we'll see you in the next video
