Youtube daily report May 23 2017

Framingham, Massachusetts is a city about 30 miles west of Boston.

And a couple of months ago, they swore in a new police chief

whose name was Devin Suau.

There's something kind of interesting about Devin.

Devin is

six years old.

He's six.

And he was sworn in as police chief.

And they made a big ceremony about it.

The big motorcade pulled up in front of Devin's house

and they escorted Devin and his family down to the police station.

And there was a big banner with Devin's name on it.

And people were cheering him along the way.

It was a really, it was a really great day for Devin and his family,

and a day that was much better than many days that they had experienced previously.

A couple of months earlier, Devin had hit his head pretty hard

while he was snowboarding.

And while they were at the hospital with,

being evaluated for a concussion,

the doctors found he had a cancerous tumor;

a cancerous tumor located just where his brain meets his spine.

And a very rare form of cancer that only affects children ages five through nine,

and for which there is no cure.

The average life expectancy for a child who has this form of cancer

is between eight months and two years.

And so, when the local police station heard about

what Devin and his family were going through,

they wanted to give him a really great day

because they were afraid that he hadn't had too many of them lately.

God has a similar desire for you.

He wants to assure you that there are great days in your future,

whether life goes just the way that you want

or not even close to the way that you were expecting.

In Jeremiah 29 verse 11 he says this. He says,

And just think about the Lord who is making that promise.

It's a Lord Jesus who hung on a cross

and whose life, at that time, did not look very prosperous.

Whose life did not look very great.

People ignored him,

they avoided him,

they cursed him,

and he just hung there and he took all of all of the shame

and all of their ridicule that was directed at him.

But he did that for a reason.

Because he wanted you to know that there is really going to be

nothing in all creation,

not a cross,

not our sin,

and not anything that happens here on earth.

None of its pain is going to keep you from being with him in eternity.

That's what he was doing on the cross that day.

He was assuring you that you have a future to look forward to,

whether life goes just the way that you want

or nothing close to the way that you were expecting.

You have a Jesus that carries out great plans for you

and guarantees you that he will.

Whoa! Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?

Nope. We just started.

Sure is fun rehearsing for an ACT comedy.

Yeah, it is.

Say, if you don't mind, I have a question. Where is the rest of the cast?

I know some people have scheduling problems...

but I've been covering for a lot of different people for the last few weeks.

The play is Red, White, and Tuna.

You and I...we're it!

We're the whole cast.

There have to be at least nineteen different characters.

I have to play half of them?

Yup.

Some of them are WOMEN!

Yeah a lot of old favorites. Vera Carp. Didi Snavely. Pearl Burras.

But I can be a guy sometime, right?

Oh, yeah there's Arles Struvie, Stanley Bumiller, Joe Bob Lipsey.

That's the one with the dogs?

No, that's Petey Fisk.

Wow!

Plus many more.

Wait a minute. I'm only offstage for a few seconds.

How will I be able to get back to my dressing room and change into my next costume?

You won't. There will be a pair of ladies just offstage to strip you down and put you in your next costume.

A PAIR OF LADIES ARE GOING TO STRIP ME DOWN!!!?

If you're squeamish, we can get you a pair of guys.

A PAIR OF GUYS ARE GOING TO STRIP ME DOWN!!!!?

Ah, it's all in good fun.

Yeah, are least we're not in that other show.

What On Earth Is A Facebook Canvas Ad And Why Aren't We Using Them? - 1 Minute Moment #79 - Duration: 1:45.

Here's an interesting statistic. Three

months

after Facebook launched canvas ads last

year, three months afterwards, they

announced that people are watching them

or looking at them for on average 31

seconds. That's 31 seconds of someone

engaging with your ad. What do you mean

you don't know what a canvas ad is?

One minute to describe Canvas ads and

why you should be using them, let me set

my timer. Canvas ads are a creative ad

type from Facebook they're mobile only so

they're only work with a campaign to work on

mobile. When somebody clicks the button

on your ad or clicks your ad it opens up

an entire screen, it completely takes over

the screen, all they can see is your

image or your video.

Maybe that's why you get the 31 seconds

of attention. Now this is the problem for

us as marketers. To create them they're going to need

lots of different elements so they're

there to kind of tell a story. How you

solve problems for your customers and

your business. Each ad can have several

elements. You can have an image, you

can add video, you can have a text block,

you can add call-to-action buttons, you

can even have a little carousel that

maybe shows off a number of your products.

The idea is, it tells that story and because

it's got all those different elements

they're going to take you a little longer

to set up than your regular ad. You're

really going to need to plan your story

and how you can tell it with

the different elements and make sure

that story's working. I'm definitely

going to create one. Will you?
