Martial confirms he WILL stay at Man Utd after talks with Ed Woodward as West Ham show interest

ANTHONY MARTIALS agent has confirmed the winger is STAYING at Manchester United, despite interest from West Ham. The Old Trafford flier has been tipped with a move away from the club after a stop-start season.

  Anthony Martial hit the post when playing for Manchester United against Southampton – a theme that seemed to sum up his season.

His form has been eye-popping at times, but he has also gone missing in big games, with often the end product often letting him down.

But despite that, the 21-year-old has netted 25 times for United and has showed signs he is starting to adjust to Jose Mourinhos demanding management.   Anthony Martial has been dropped for Frances recent internationals against Paraguay, Sweden and England.

  Anthony Martial enjoyed a successful end to the season with Manchester United as they won the Europa League.

There have been reports the Portuguese could fund a spending spree by selling Martial, with West Ham reportedly interested, but his agent is not so sure.

It has been a mixed bag for the France international, who was overlooked for Didier Deschamps latest squad for their games with Paraguay, Sweden and England.

Martials agent Philippe Lamboley has cleared up any speculation by revealing Ed Woodward is happy with the France international. He said: Martial has two years left and there is no reason for him to leave Manchester at the moment.

If Ed Woodward tells me they want him to leave, things are different.

Last month Martial was blasted by Deschamps for his crisis in confidence, explaining why he was omitted from the France team. And his place in Frances squad at next summers World Cup looks in jeopardy unless he can step up a notch.

Deschamps said: Even though Anthony is playing a little bit more since Zlatans injury, he has a limited amount of playing time. Hes been doing some good things but hes not as decisive as he was before.

The two things are linked. Perhaps hes lost a bit of confidence, a bit of rhythm. He has the quality, the potential, as Anthony showed last season.

  Didier Deschamps reckons Anthony Martial has had a crisis of confidence at Manchester United. But its normal to have a dip – he had a very packed season last year.

Theres been a change of coach, maybe a different system as well. You know it can happen to more experienced players, but for young players, it happens practically all the time.

There has been a little bit of a dip, a lack of confidence. It can take a bit of time.".

If youre playing less, when you do play then you have to be decisive, youre not allowed to make any mistakes. Its a difficult climate for any player, whether hes 20 or 30.

If hes playing and hes full of confidence, he wont have the same impact as if hes lacking a bit of confidence. They might have choices to make.".

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN has confirmed he WILL snub a mega-money move to Manchester United to stay at Atletico Madrid this summer. The French superstar will remain with the Spanish giants after they were handed a transfer ban until 2018.
