Youtube daily report Nov 15 2017

Hey guys sorry if this video is kind of late, recently it's been hard finding the

time to make videos. But don't worry, I will continue uploading even if that

means I only do it every three months. We just hit 5,000 subscribers, and that's a

lot of people! I wanted to think of a cool way to thank you guys without

making some kind of lame video like this. So I decided that my next video won't be

about me. I want you guys to send in your best trickshot videos, and in my next

video I'll put the best ones together to create an epic fan compilation. You can

send in whatever kind of trickshot videos you guys want: Basketball, soccer,

football, frisbee, and, of course, bottle flipping... dang it. You don't even have to

make trickshot videos for all I care! But there are a few guidelines I want

you guys to follow before you send in videos. It's pretty much only two things.

Number one is to be creative. This point mostly applies to the flipping trickshots.

Just try to come up with your own original ideas, cause I don't want a bunch

of people sending in the same trickshot. The second thing is to only send in good

videos. Basically what I mean by that is to make the videos easy to watch, or in

other words, don't send in videos like this...

Yeah that's pretty much it for the

guidelines the only reason I have these guidelines is if I get too many entries

I might have to pick which ones go into the video. Also if the video you send in

looks fake, and I'm not saying like if I'm a little suspicious, I'm talking

about if it looks so painfully obvious that it's fake, then I can't really put

that in. Alright I think that just about wraps it up for the fan compilation.

Entries will be due December 10th, so that gives you guys about a month. The

thing about that video is it won't really be mine, so don't worry, while you

guys are sending in videos and I'm putting them together, I will also be

working on a trick shot video of my own. Honestly that video is probably going to

take a while until it comes out. I'm sorry but school is just making it

harder and harder to find time to make videos, but I promise you guys won't be

disappointed when it comes out. I have some pretty cool things planned for it.

Before I tell you guys how you can send in your entries,

there's one other thing I wanted to talk about while I had the chance. I've had

the same YouTube logo since January 2014. I made it with construction paper... I made

it with construction paper and glue and then scanned it onto my computer. I think

it's just about time it needs a change. The only problem is I can't think of any

other good ideas. I want you guys to send in your coolest logo ideas for this

channel. And by logo ideas, I don't just mean my channel name with, like, a cool

background. I want some cool, original, ideas. There aren't really gonna be any

rules for this contest. You can just draw your idea on a piece of paper and I can

use that. I'll probably end up tweaking your idea in the end anyway, but it just

needs to be a creative idea I like. Now, I'm just gonna say right now I'm pretty

picky with this stuff. I honestly might not even pick a winner if I don't really

like any of the ideas. So that's why I'm not really considering this a contest.

That's also why there's not going to be a due date for the entries for this

contest. If you win, I'll give you a shout-out at the end of my next video,

logo credits in the description of all my future videos, and a shout-out on

Instagram. So yeah, lots of shout outs if you win. Now going back to the fan

compilation trick shot video, here's how I want you guys to send these videos in.

First of all, I just want to say please only send in raw videos. I'll add in

music and all that other good stuff when I'm editing the video myself. Alright, so

you could just upload your raw trickshot video to YouTube as either unlisted or

PUBLIC (oops) then copy the link to that and email it to me on Instagram you can just

DM me the video. Here is my information... Umm, you can send in the logos the same way,

you can just email it to me or DM me on Instagram. And also you can just email me

or DM me any questions you have about any of this. Yeah I think that just about

wraps it up for this video. I can't wait to see the videos and logos you

guys send in. Uh, thanks again so much for 5,000 subscribers and, you know, make

sure to subscribe and follow my Instagram if you aren't already. Alright,

thanks for watching, see you guys!

The other thing... The... The second thing was... try to make it... oh my god, I hate thi-

The Staircase Out of Poverty - Anne Hastings - Ideas @Davos - Duration: 3:41.

Fifteen years ago a Haitian priest asked me to come to Haiti to help him build a

bank the poor could call their own I asked him at that time well what kind of

services are you planning to provide he said all the normal things savings loans

money transfers along the way he also explained that you can't just give a

woman alone and send her on her way you have to accompany her as she

struggles to make her way out of poverty I realized later that what that meant is

we were going to have to teach her how to read and write we were gonna have to

give her business skills and then before we knew it we were into health care too

so gradually we built the staircase out of poverty our staircase out of poverty

has five different steps to it at every step there's a different mix of

financial educational and health care services that will allow the woman to

make the next step our job is to get them on this ladder and be there for

them when they fall off

but over the years as our strategy expanded I came to two realizations the

first one is that accumulation of assets doesn't mean much of anything unless you

can protect those assets I have seen women who made their way to the top and

then got knocked down because they had to pay for a funeral or because there

was a bad hurricane season in fact I've seen the same woman the same woman fall

three times in the last six years I simply can't continue to do my business

this way I can't encourage her to save and reinvest her profits back into her

business and use credit wisely and then watch her fail because of a hurricane

and the second one was that not everyone is a micro entrepreneur many of these

people need jobs they can make their way out of poverty but not by opening their

own businesses and job creation most experts would agree is really best done

by the small and medium enterprise sector but in Haiti where there's 70

percent unemployment almost everybody has to be an entrepreneur clearly we

have to find a way to create jobs for these people so here we are dealing with

the very poorest people trying to eliminate extreme poverty and yet we're

having to put our attention on job creation by assisting the small and

medium enterprises instead of just focusing on the poorest people that's a

tricky thing when you're an institution with a mission to focus on the very

poorest people see that as you're drifting away from your mission you're

going up market but in order to help them we also have to be

to create jobs for them the point is that eliminating extreme poverty is not

rocket science we don't have any reason that we have to have the degree of

poverty in that country that we do have today

Behind the Curtain: Indecent - Duration: 6:10.

Indecent is a story of a play called The God of Vengeance.

That was written in Poland in Yiddish in 1907.

Our play, Indecent, is about the history of The God of Vengeance.

This play will cause a sensation!

The play The God of Vengeance was an incredible and sort of tumultuous journey.

Like a comet streaked across Europe, just a great success, landed in the United States,

and was closed down on obscenity charges when it appeared on Broadway.

And then on back to Europe.

It's this sort of extraordinary lens through which to look at this vast swath of history.

Indecent is in one sense a ghost story, and these ghosts inhabit all of the people who

play the various roles in the history of this play.

Our actors, who play many, many roles tonight I play a number of characters in Indecent.

I'm actually the only actor in the show who only plays one character

I play six different roles.

They're all fighting for something, but are all very different characters, so you

get to box in a different style every time you come on the stage.

[We have a role, this young boy must have been

thinking of you when he wrote it!

In the program I think we're just listed as "actor."

Rifkele!

The seed for Indecent happened twenty years ago when I stumbled upon the play God of Vengeance.

In The God of Vengeance, a Jewish brothel owner and his wife are raising their daughter

and trying to marry her to a rabbi's son, but she ends up falling in love with a female

prostitute downstairs.

You are my bride.

It was a very controversial play, especially for the time that it was written in.

You will be torn limb from limb if the public sees this play.

I read this play when I was twenty-two years old.

Yellow copy in the library; it had been out of print for decades.

And I was stunned.

It's all in there, the—the roots of all evil, the, the money, the subjugation of women,

the false piety—oh, Sholem, the two girls in the rain scene.

My God, the, the poetry in it!

The beautiful acceptance that Sholem Asch the writer felt towards women in love is something

that I think is a beacon.

And I thought, it's not right that people don't know about this play.

I saw this dusty little troupe performing in an attic in 1943, and I knew that's why

I had to write the entire play.

Thanks to Mrs. Gitla Bronowski for letting us use this spacious attic for our show.

So Paula Vogel and I had a very intimate process over a really long time, I mean it's about

eight years.

I can't say enough about Rebecca Taichman and how she directed me and this play, I mean

I think she did an incredibly brilliant job and she won a Tony award for it, and she—it

was well deserved.

She has truly changed me as a human being and a performer.

Her two core lessons, which I've come away with is, the trust in yourself, and the trust

in the truth.

She works from a stance of, "let's try it

And see where that goes."

We dig and dig and dig and then when she sees the diamond, she says "that's it."

There were really exciting moments and there were really frustrating moments, obviously

extremely challenging things, but those are the things that make you grow as a person

Sometimes people come in with all of the answers—Rebecca came in with all the questions, and we spent

several years finding answers.

[Instrumental music]

We've spent about two years of our lives working on this play together, changing it

and growing into the parts and getting to know each other.

When you work together that long, it just makes even that little, beautifully ornate

orchestrated dance even more vibrant and wonderful.

[Instrumental music]

It's one of the many brilliant things that were done to make this show so special.

We have a story we want to tell you about a play, a play that changed my life.

Indecent is about making art and speaking out in dangerous times.

It's really a celebration of culture and survival with issues that are as relevant

today as they were so many years ago.

Issues of immigration, anti-Semitism, freedom to tell your story without censorship, and

certainly the freedom to love who you choose.

I hope the most relatable theme is love.

And what happens when this love is challenged, how do you respond?

There are times in your life when loving something costs a lot, and for these artists it did.

There's art that makes you love it, and there's art that makes you very scared,

and Indecent is about a play that actually did both, and I feel like that's one of

the, the stories of the play is that, you know, it was shut down by people who for the

most part had never seen it.

When censorship is lifted, it increases empathy all throughout society, and I think that's

really important and one of the main reasons theater is important.

I mean, working on this show I felt a sense of community that I never knew existed on

Broadway, and if we can expand that sense of community across the world, that's the

thing, that's the thing.

It celebrates that impulse towards love and is, is like a call for it.

This story is a story that people didn't know.

And then, somebody was like, "oh!

But that's the story of my family!"

And so people came back, and then they brought their family.

People are so moved by it, many people take this line from the play which is, that it

has changed my life forever.

End of play.

This is theater?

[Laughter]

Oh, oh Mr. Asch, it is wonderful!

2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ Review - Duration: 11:06.

2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ Review

I still laugh with glee at Looney Tunes vignettes, especially those with the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote.

How do you stifle a snort when the mangey Coyote paints a stunningly accurate painting of a tunnel into a rock wall, which the Road Runner can run through, but the hungry mammal can't? Or when his infatuation with catching the bird results in the most nonsensical, obscure gadgets from the ACME organization?.

It seems that the most fun is had when the rules are broken and we see something that shouldn't be possible. Our brains seem to short circuit and the result is this "Hah!" noise.

This is the magic of cartoons and slapstick, but it's also what makes the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S so amusing — this car is so hilariously unbelievable that it's like my favorite Looney Tunes sketches.

The SUV snarls and barks like a guard dog, but is comfortable and spacious enough to pack a Great Dane. It has the size and proportions of something more utilitarian but also straight-line speed that can embarrass some serious sports cars.

It's loaded with luxury features like heated seats and head-up displays, but can also be available with a performance exhaust and a Race mode that maximizes performance with a higher idle to allow for a quick jump off the line.

You might be inclined to ask, "What's up Doc?" but the answer is simple: This car is made of a bunch of contrasting factors that weirdly work together really well. One Man, One Machine, Few are Faster.

Under the hood lurks a 40-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that's built by hand using AMG's one man (or woman), one machine philosophy. It makes 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, just enough to allow a zero-to-62-mph sprint of 3.8 seconds.

In the great hierarchy of zero-to-60 times, anything under four seconds is placed well into the "holy crap that's fast" tier alongside the likes of Porsche 911s and Chevrolet Corvettes.

Consider the size of this SUV and it's amazing what Mercedes-AMG is capable of. See Also: Top 10 Cars the GLC 63 AMG is Surprisingly Faster Than.

The engine is a truly special part of the equation. The plant in Affalterbach, Germany, is where the engine is made and, as the brand's philosophy suggests, each engine is made by one person.

Fifty years ago, the goofballs at AMG threw a 6.8-liter V8 engine in an SEL sedan and said it should go racing.

That car then came first in class and second overall at the 24-hour endurance race of Spa Francorchamps and everyone laughed like Bugs Bunny when he embarrasses Elmer Fudd by plugging the barrels of the hunter's shotgun with his fingers.

Nowadays, AMG is a car development center set to the beat of Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. It's not only where new motors are being built, but it's also where Mercedes-Benz cars are designed to be more impressive and hardcore.

But back to the GLC 63, which has a new all-wheel-drive system that helps the SUV perform as impressively as it does. We first saw this 4Matic+ system on the recently released E 63 S.

Unlike other AWD AMGs, this system can send 100 percent of the motor's torque to the rear wheels, meaning the car can seamlessly transition from rear to all-wheel drive depending on the situation.

There's also an electronic rear limited slip differential that helps the car put its power to the ground through corners. This car is designed to be as fast as possible in almost every situation imaginable.

The nine-speed automatic transmission is the translator between the motor and the all-wheel-drive system, and it changes gears quickly. Using a wet-clutch rather than a torque converter, the transmission is designed to be a quick-shifter and also saves weight.

In practice, however, it was a bit jerky and unrefined, almost leaving me stuttering like Porky the Pig. Others on our first drive program reported this issue, while some found the transmission to be fine.

We'll chalk this up to early production jitters, but it's something worth checking out when the car hits showrooms in the spring.

The star power of any AMG model is the performance characteristics, and the GLC will not disappoint in terms of straight-line speed. Handling is also impressive, but the steering felt a bit numb and disconnected.

A speed-sensitive setup, there were several times where I found myself feeling out the steering to figure out just how much grip the front wheels had.

The brakes, on the other hand, worked better than I would have expected, with excellent pedal feel and stopping distances.

It felt natural and well controlled, and I imagine it could put ripples in the pavement like when a cartoon character screeches to a halt.

There's more to this AMG than its performance figures, as the interior gets a number of unique elements that make it stand out from the more conventional GLC models.

There's a lot of carbon fiber trim paired with suede accents alongside well-stitched leather upholstery. I've always been a fan of the GLC's interior layout, with a wood-heavy, nautically inspired dashboard that's outfitted with cool steampunk toggle switches.

The only criticism of the car's interior is that the COMAND infotainment system is beginning to look a little dated.

Maybe I'm just not a fan of the rotary knob controls, but I'd love to see a more modern interface with quicker access to main settings.

The exterior design of the GLC has been updated to reflect the crossover's increased performance. There's a new "panamerica grille," so the front end looks similar to what's found on the flagship AMG GT sports car.

This vehicle is also available as a "Coupe," which is a slight bit of marketing gobbeldy-gook, as it's still a four-door crossover except with a sloping rear roofline.

There's also the quad trapezoidal exhaust exits, which emit some of the most engaging and emotion-invoking noises known to modern automobiles. It's like a mechanical iteration of the Tazmanian Devil.

You'll crack a smile when firing up this car and that smile will turn into a maniacal grin when you hear it at full throttle.

If the sounds of this car don't stir you up, you are dead inside (or maybe this car's just not for you, so you might want to consider a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid). The Verdict: 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ Review.

This car is a comedy on wheels. It's joyous, hilarious and tear-jerkingly good fun.

With so much performance, power and capability found in a body style that doesn't have the reputation for it, the car is a cartoon on the road, doing things that will make you do a double take before snorting in half-disbelief and half-laugh.

I liked it nearly as much as the flagship GT R Coupe I drove a few weeks ago, and that alone is serious praise for Mercedes-AMG's new utility vehicle.

While pricing is yet to be revealed, you can expect it to be a bit more expensive than the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S that the GLC is loosely based on.

It's every bit as fun as any AMG out there, but with the added benefit of being a versatile and luxurious utility vehicle.

24Hrs After Trump Frees Basketball Players from 10Yr Chinese Prison Sentence, Look What Racist NBA D - Duration: 4:53.

24Hrs After Trump Frees Basketball Players from 10Yr Chinese Prison Sentence, Look What

Racist NBA Did.

President Donald Trump has just returned home from a very lengthy and successful trip to

Asia where he accomplished a lot, including one monumental task that nobody was expecting.

Proving that he's the master of the deal and concerned for every American, regardless

of skin color or if they voted for him, he went out of his way to get three UCLA basketball

players released from Chinese "house arrest" after they were accused of shoplifting sunglasses

and faced a 10 year prison sentence for it.

This is something his predecessor never attempted for any American captive and wouldn't be

able to accomplish if he had bothered to try.

It's no secret that many professional sports players are not Trump fans but that hasn't

stopped the president from being the leader he promised he would be for the American people.

No matter how many leftists and athletes trash him, call him racist, and make other disparaging

remarks about him, he'll still show up and save who or what needs to be saved, proving

them wrong every time regardless of whether they acknowledge it or not.

Every American clearly matters to Trump more than they did to Barack Hussein Obama, who

left North Korean captive Otto Warmbier to die days after being released from captivity,

the Guardian reported.

In a sharp contrast from Trump's treatment of three American college kids imprisoned

overseas, Warmbier, also an American student, was only released once he had reached a vegetative

state and was near death.

He was unfortunate to be held on Obama's watch who forgot about him or simply couldn't

be bothered, which led to him being beaten into a coma.

Sick of caring for him in this condition and not wanting to claim responsibility for Warmier's

physical state, North Korea finally released him – no thanks to anything Obama did who

stood by while this student was abused to death.

It's refreshing to have a Commander-in-Chief who cares and would never allow that to happen

to any American, as he just proved.

His actions of negotiating the release of these college basketball players proved his

character as a leader.

As UCLA teammates Jalen Hill, Cody Riley, and LiAngelo Ball were on their way back to

the U.S. just an hour or so after Trump worked the deal of their lifetime, their professional

basketball counterparts were playing an NBA game and had an interesting way of "thanking"

Trump for what these three players.

NBA star for the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving, has been an outspoken professional basketball

player for the protests he's seen happen in the National Football League.

He made a lengthy statement on the matter in September, supporting players' message

in kneeling and their right to do that, according to his statements published by MassLive.

However, after seeing what Trump did for these UCLA players, he showed up with a surprise

on the court Tuesday night, at his game against the New Jersey Nets, and took the whole arena

by complete surprise.

Sports Illustrated reports:

A masked Kyrie Irving returned to the court Tuesday night to help the Celtics beat the

Nets 109-102, giving Boston its thirteenth straight victory after an 0-2 start.

After this latest victory, Kyrie Irving found two women in uniform who serve in the military

and gave one his game-worn jersey and the other his shoes.

As you'd might expect, they were really pumped.

It's impossible to not smile after you see and hear the genuine joy in their voices.

Veterans Day may have been Saturday, but every day is a good day to show active military

personnel and veterans love.

It's a pretty spectacular move in what's been a fairly racist league that almost took

after the NFL, but this shows genuine appreciation for those who serve our country.

In a silent sort of way, it shows a little love for our president who wants to see these

sports stars respect our military members, both past and current.

Most sports stars who still protest today, despite the overwhelming damage it has done

to their industry, are not doing it out of the original principle of bringing attention

to injustices – they are doing it just to spite our president who is outspoken on the

matter, especially after Tweeting that anyone who kneels should be fired.

Trump is already making a major difference in this country that Obama never could, since

he's leading by example to bring about the change and unity he wants to see in this country.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only

light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

This is what Irving did when he brought love and appreciation to Service Members on the

court and set an example of what making a real difference looks like.

If you want change, be the change without disrespecting people, our military, and our

country in trying to achieve it.

what do you think about this?

Straightshot Transport - Mental health and fatigue - Duration: 3:24.

ANGELA: I'm Angela Welsh. I'm from Straightshot Transport.

Straightshot Transport, it's an interstate and intrastate transport company.

We mostly transport boats, caravans, horse floats, medium sized items.

DOUGAL: My name is Dougal Scott. I'm the national chain of responsibility manager for TNT Australia.

Myself and Angela were matched in the mentor system based on

I guess the need for greater safety compliance with both local and interstate work.

ANGELA: It was very exciting to be able to talk to somebody that had knowledge, skills and experience

and background working physically with large and heavy vehicles.

It's really important for the transport industry to take safety seriously

because at the end of the day, everyone wants to go home

and if you're not practising safe work

you're not going to go home and there's so many people affected by one loss.

At Straightshot Transport, we've created an App

which will help our drivers manage their fatigue.

Every single day, the guys will jump on their phone or the tablets that we've provided.

They will have a look at the App and open up their vehicle check list.

Once they press send on the App, I get that information.

The benefits this has had for us is that it's had a flow on effect with our clients

who can see professionalism

and know that we're working and we're working safely only.

We've actually implemented a scheme where we have a look at

what any of our drivers or contractors are doing.

We also ask our contractors how much work they've done in the week.

And if we're not entitled to get their work diary pages

it's still a matter of saying we need to know that you're working and not

fatigued, which isn't just working in accordance with the work diary,

but just being tired from anything.

If they can't answer that, we don't give them the job.

Mental health is a massive risk in the transport industry

because if you're not working a hundred percent within your brain

you're not going to be able to concentrate on what you're doing

you're not able then to do it properly.

DOUGAL: The challenges that we can face as a transport industry are numerous.

I think one of recent times that we're really focusing on is health and wellbeing.

It's realising that there's competing work and life balances.

There's health and wellbeing balances that may need to be met.

It's a continued education and it's also helping the guys to understand that

there's assistance programs out there that we can offer as a business.

There's government schemes that can also be acknowledged as well

like R U OK? day for instance, which is coming up shortly.

We massively support those types of things as a business

and we ultimately care about the wellbeing of our people.

ANGELA: The message I'd say to other businesses in the transport industry

it takes one second to lose someone you love.

Don't let that second happen.

Everybody has responsibility for safety in our workplace.
