The Korean stock market opened an hour later as part of the original plans for the college

Trading started at 10 a.m. and was extended for an extra hour until four thirty in the
afternoon.
But it doesn't look like the market was affected much by the earthquake.
Strong foreign buying led the benchmark KOSPI to break a losing streak, adding two-thirds
of a percent to close at at just under 25-35.
The KOSDAQ, which has been on a massive winning streak, was also up about 1-point-6 percent.
The won was quoted at a 13-month high against the U.S. dollar, at one-thousand-101, up 11
won from yesterday's close.
That's in part because of a new currency swap deal signed between South Korea and Canada.

S. Korea no longer 'earthquake-safe' zone... two magnitude 5.0+ quakes in two consecutive years - Duration: 2:08.
It's now two years in a row that Korea's had major earthquakes, and that's got people worried
that the country is no longer safe from these kinds of natural disasters.
Japan, of course, has had devastating quakes and tsunamis, but those hadn't been nearly
as much of a concern on this side of the East Sea.
Lee Jeong-yeon explains.
South Korea was once again hit by an earthquake above magnitude five.
The tremors from the magnitude 5-point-4 earthquake were felt as far as Seoul, 300-kilometers
away from the epicenter in Pohang.
(stand-up) The earthquake in Pohang comes around a year
after the magnitude 5-point-8 earthquake that hit Gyeongju last year.
So amid growing concerns among the public that South Korea may not be an "earthquake-safe"
zone, here is what the expert has to say.
(Korean) "When we look at the earthquake patterns recorded
throughout South Korea's history, quakes have occurred everywhere on the peninsula.
They aren't limited to certain areas.
So we need to prepare for the possibility of the whole country being prone to big earthquakes
and take necessary precautions."
The expert explains that Pohang, where Wednesday's earthquake hit, is situated along what is
called an "active fault," a fault that has seen seismic activity during the last 10,000
years.
(Korean) "Through this earthquake, the fact that the
fault is active is now undisputable.
An active fault is always prone to earthquakes so we must keep a close watch on the region."
More than 40 aftershocks have occurred so far since the main tremor.
And although it had a lower magnitude than last year's quake, the Pohang quake has actually
caused more damage.
The main difference is that the depth of the of last year's Gyeongju earthquake was between
11 and 16 kilometers, and its epicenter was in a less populated area near the reservoir,
but Wednesday's quake was just nine kilometers below the city in Pohang.
Experts say that for now, earthquakes are nearly impossible to predict, but scientists
are trying to improve earthquake prediction technology and to come up with more diverse
ways to warn the public... so as to minimize fatalities.

LFP 082 How I Began Changing My Life One Habit at a Time | Learn Flute Online Video Podcast - Duration: 12:42.
Hey'all, it's me Rebecca Fuller, the expert and instructor of the Learn Flute Online programs
and flute education information series.
Are you ready to tackle yet another part of what it takes to get confident, and love your
hobbies?
Let's get started today on habit-making and how I began changing my life one habit
at a time.
I don't have a lot of time to watch television, but I love superhero shows and movies.
I can't help but fantasize a little bit about what supernatural abilities I would
have in that world.
Haha, I can think of a few actually.
But, here in the real world, there are also quite a list of things I've always wanted
to be able to accomplish.
Most and many of these things are pretty much out of reach for the time being, and I guess
that's why they're still on "the list."
A few years ago, I was contemplating and wondering how some people get to the higher levels they
are on in certain subjects.
I am always fascinated and amazed at those who achieve high performance -- on any subject,
whether it be an olympic athlete or an entrepreneur who patents their invention and sells many
millions of them.
How did they do it?
I like to think about this kind of thing.
Might be funny to you, but there is actually quite a bit of research on this exact subject.
I find it very interesting.
So, during my contemplation hours a few years ago as I wondered about this I wondered if
I could ever achieve some seemingly impossible skills.
You know, it's one thing to be born with a gift, and it's another to discover the
gift, use it, and nurture it to beyond the natural ability stages.
I wondered about this a lot about this time I decided that I needed and wanted to be a
better educator, and in the course of learning to help others learn, I discovered that I,
myself needed to become a better learner myself.
I wanted to figure out how to fit it all in, and get really accomplished.
In order to do this, I knew it would take time.
I knew it would take effort.
But really, it's not hard work.
It's actually quite enjoyable…
I've found the secret.
It just takes a consistent effort to go well beyond my natural limits.
Really.
It's true.
It's all about taking a new habit that needs to be formed and keeping with it in a systematic
and educational manner until it becomes second nature.
Then, something new or the next step can be added on.
Horace Mann, who was a key educational reformer back in the eighteen hundreds, said it very
plainly and best.
I quote "Habit is a cable, we weave a thread of it each day, and at last we cannot break
it."
Did you catch the visual there?
I picture those big, heavy iron cables you see coming off of the ships in a harbor.
They are made of smaller strands and woven together to make something that can hold thousands
of tons of pressure and weight.
When I decided to learn a set of new skills, some were pretty big so I immediately began
to worry.
You know how it feels.
Worried I'll never achieve something to a proficient level because perhaps I wasn't
born with the knack for it.
Or, worried someone would see my try and fail, etcetera..
The normal human stuff.
Well, how was I going to overcome these invasive thoughts?
They're annoying, and I still have them depending on what I'm doing and especially
when I'm embarking on a new learning journey.
I had tried to adopt new habits before, and expected myself to achieve at greater heights..
Only to find that I would lose motivation after a few days, when I noticed I hadn't
reached any level of achievement.
Then I'd give up and return to my old ways.
This is disheartening, and I didn't want to be this way any more.
So, this time it was going to be different.
I took a lot of time to determine what was going on with me, and I found one simple ingredient
to success that I hadn't tried before.
Want to know what it is?
Oh good.
Well, since you're still here listening, I'll go ahead and tell you: It was two-fold.
The first was that I seemed to only choose new skills or habits that would for most people
be considered an entire life-overhaul.
Big, giant, earth shattering ideas that were monstrous to look at.
And then, I exposed to myself that I had a real problem with "Patience".
I lacked patience in allowing myself to be a beginner and learn something from the bottom
up.
I'll give you an example here of one of my very earliest quests at creating a new
habit..
I was really trying to learn how to create new habits because I had a lot of steps to
go if I was going to make all of my new goal.
A few years ago, I really needed to up my game in physical health.
I had a list of things I knew I needed to be doing, but I really wasn't.
The list overwhelmed me because I knew it was going to be tough to keep at all of those
new things every day.
.. forever.
So, I pulled up my big-girl pants and decided to start with the one simple task that I could
focus on every day without too much pain.
Instead of trying to look at the entire giant list of things I should be doing, I chose
to take one thing, do it continuously, and do it well.
I was going start and end my day with a large clear glass of water.
Now, this may not sound like any big deal to you, but at the time I wasn't drinking
enough water, and I knew it.
My energy was lower than I wanted it to be, and this was just a first step towards getting
what I wanted.
I determined that I had to be patient.
Not expect a perfect score on the first few tries, and resolved to keep at it until it
was easy, natural, and just part of me forever.
Haha, okay don't laugh here, because I found that it all sounded easier said than done.
I tried making tally marks on a paper to keep track of the days I kept with my water-drinking
goal.
Promptly lost my paper on only the third day, I tried placing glasses of water strategically
all around the house in order to remind myself to drink them, and I even made a paper chain
like a first grader would to keep my success going day after day.
Was I perfect?
No.
BUT, I found that through patience I could forgive myself for losing sight for a few
minutes or days, and then just get right back on track.
It's through this patience and self-forgiveness that I was able to FINALLY make this a habit.
Once I buckled down, got on the patience wagon, and kept at it, I was able to make a permanent
change.
This was just the first step to many steps that I needed.
You should take notes here: One change at a time.
One to five minutes at first.
Small changes.
No more seeking for large dramatic changes that would overwhelm me.
I decided to take a new skill or idea all the way to 'easy habit' before adding
another small one on.
I know that doing this can do amazing things for a person.
Even one new habit a month can amount to a potential of thirty six new desired skills
in just three short years.
That can make a monumental difference in your life.
I know it has in mine.
A few more examples of my 'patience experiment' have been reading motivating and educational
materials each day, doing pushups, achieving ten thousand steps daily, focusing on positivity
and gratitude, as well as, you guessed it- making sure my flute is nice and shiny clean
when I put it away daily.
What things can you dream of achieving?
If it really came true would you feel like a superhero?
I know I do.
And, I'm not done, because the next step is now to eliminate one negative habit each
month.
Whoa.
This is getting intense right!
Nobody likes to focus on their naughty habits, but if we want to achieve real greatness,
we must.
Easy, small achievements with patience in mind.
An example of this could be keeping from biting finger nails, popping knuckles, criticising
a spouse or family member, or whatever it may be.
We all have something we can improve on.
Taking ten big cleansing breaths is something we can do while controlling the urge is sometimes
all it takes.
These things are free.
No money or time involved either.
Just start small right?
Next, I determined to practice creatively on my flute each day.
Sound fun?
It is.
I can get more into these details another day, but I wanted you all to know that I have
done something with my practicing that really works.
I cap my creative practice time to just fifteen minutes.
Why you ask?
Because I want to leave this part of my practice session (which is my new habit I've been
forming) with a craving for the next session instead of thinking of it as a time-burden
that could suck the life from my excitement faster than anything.
I know I've probably given way too much information on myself in this episode, but
my hope is that you learn from my experiments, and find ways to feel fulfilled in your intentions
every single day.
I like to live life on purpose… instead of allowing life to live me.
If you've had a difficult time making and creating life changes like I was having, remember
that trying harder and thinking you need to go bigger is possibly just the opposite of
what really needs to happen.
The superhero skills come by focusing on one small thing, for a few seconds or minutes
at a time, consecutively.
Then move on from there.
Well, I appreciate you and your journey.
I also hope that you will come to the comment sections of these audios and let me know what
you think.

Easy and Delicious Low Carb Almond Cookies – Keto Cookies - Duration: 3:15.
Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present low carbohydrate almond cookies. This is a very
easy recipe to make when that Cookie Monster in all of us comes a-knockin'.
With under one and a half carbohydrates per cookie, you'll be able to stay low carbohydrate
while enjoying family gatherings, holidays, or when you just want a sweet
little afternoon snack - perfect with a cup of coffee or hot tea. Let's get started.
Begin by pouring eight tablespoons of melted,
unsalted butter into a large mixing bowl. Add a granulated sugar substitute equal
to one cup of regular sugar. Mix to combine.
Add a lightly beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
Now we'll add just a bit of salt and a little almond extract. Give another mix
to combine. Our final ingredient is almond flour. We'll be using three cups total -
but only adding at 1 cup at a time. This will help to ensure we don't have any
dry clumps in the finished product and makes it a lot easier to mix. After we've
roughly mixed in the last cup of flour, finish, using our hands to mix and blend.
Work the dough until no more dry flour is visible. Grab about a tablespoon of
the cookie dough and roll it with your hands to form a small ball; about three
quarters of an inch in size. Continue until all the dough is rolled. I finished
with 26 cookies, but depending on the size of the dough balls, you may have a
little more or less. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment
paper, being careful not to overcrowd. With your hands and fingers, gently press
down on each dough ball and form a round cookie. To give our cookies a nice little
touch, press a thinly sliced almond to the center of each cookie.
Brush the tops with a thin coating of egg white. And for our final touch,
sprinkle a small amount of granulated sugar substitute to the tops. Place the
cookies in the middle of a preheated 325°F oven for 25 minutes or until
nicely golden. When they're done, remove from the oven and place on a rack to
cool. These cookies have the perfect texture and taste - perfect for dunking!
There you have it folks! My low carbohydrate almond cookies. Easy to prepare and
delicious to eat - by themselves or enjoy with a nice hot cup of coffee.
A great low carb option. I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, please like and
consider subscribing. I'll have something new every week. Thanks for watching and
I'll see you next time!

How To Use YouTube Ads – Costs, Benefits And Traffic Types - Duration: 8:27.
Welcome to this video: "How To Use YouTube Ads - Costs, Benefits and Traffic Types".
This is all about identifying the best type of YouTube video ad to use. Are you
one of the many business owners who is yet to be convinced of the power of
YouTube ads? Be sure to watch the video to the very end where you'll be able to
download the free pdf entitled: "The Top 10 Tips For Beginners To YouTube Ads".
Not convinced of the power of YouTube video ads? Don't worry, you're not alone!
Hi, my name is Jeff Laming of Video Cashflo, and in this video we're going
to cover costs, benefits and traffic types the YouTube ads incur and generate.
Before we do so, and if this is the first time you're watching a Video Cashflow
video and you like what you see, hear and read, then please click the Subscribe
button below this video so you get more video marketing and business videos on
a weekly basis. Keeping things as simple as possible,
the main YouTube video ads are collectively referred to as TrueVview
ads. There are two types of TrueView ads: 1. Discovery ads, sometimes known as in-
display ads; and 2. in-stream video ads. Let's start with discovery video ads. These
are the ads that show up when you enter a search term into the YouTube search
bar and they also show up on the right hand side of your screen when you click
on another video and these are often shown as recommended videos to watch.
These video ads are identified by having a small yellow box, normally in the top
left corner of the video thumbnail with the word "Ad" inside of them. You can see
an example here:
You are charged the moment someone clicks the ad to watch the video. The
in-stream ads are those videos that pop up immediately before the video that you
want to watch with a message in the bottom-right corner that says you can
skip the video after five seconds.
Here's an example:
Sometimes you don't have a choice and you have to let the video run its full course for
anything from 15 to 20 seconds. They have a message in the bottom of the video
that says: "Video will played after ad", and are probably the most annoying of all
the YouTube video ad types. Here's an example:
These video ads are called non-skippable in-stream ads, and here's a further
explanation from the YouTube site:
So how are you charged? According to YouTube they say you only pay when
someone engages with your ad. If they skip it before 30 seconds or the end of the
video, whatever's shorter, you don't pay a cent. Now this refers to when the clock
starts ticking - not how much the ad will cost you. What it does tell us is that we're
charged on a basis known as cost per view, or CPV for short. Here's a further
explanation from the YouTube site:
So you will be charged on the shorter of the length of the video and on
the first 30 second. Okay, so what are the costs of discovery and in-stream video
ads? it depends! it depends on a number of factors such as: who or what you are
targeting; competition; and quality score which is something similar to
Facebook's relevancy score. So if you are targeting your video ad to a very niche
audience or market, with low competition and YouTube recognize that your content
is highly engaging i.e. it's relevant and of good quality, then you should expect
to see the CPV ie the cost per view, fall to pennies or cents in the pound, dollar
and euro. Whilst this needs to be looked at in context with other types of
advertising such as Facebook ads or Google AdWords, the overriding factor to
consider here is: what is a new client worth to you? In other words, if you were
to obtain one new client from your YouTube video ads campaign, how much
would you expect to make from that new client? If your answer is something like
$100 and the video ad campaign cost you $50, are you prepared to go
ahead with YouTube video ads? And what if you're just starting up an online
business you've not done any other advertising let alone YouTube video
advertising? Again that depends on the number of other factors and is worthy
of a separate video. What are the benefits of running YouTube
video ads? Here's eight for now. 1. You can target your audience by
specifying parameters such as age, sex, viewing devices, Google search history
and location thereby generating warm traffic (as opposed to cold traffic); 2. You
can test by running two ad campaigns side-by-side; 3. Affordable - you can
set a budget; 4. With the Comments section available in the YouTube videos you can
engage with your viewers and get feedback on the current video ad
campaign as well as get useful information that you can implement for
any future video ad campaigns; 5. YouTube is the second largest search
engine in the world and it's owned by Google, the largest search engine in the
world, so the potential reach of your YouTube
video ads is huge!; 6. You can create a video ad that
promotes affiliate products and services - not just your own products and services;
7. Views count towards your channels total views which could lead to an increase in your
channel's videos average watch time - a key metric for getting your videos ranked;
and 8. An opportunity to increase your subscriber numbers. Looking at the
last two items, 7. and 8., with recent changes to rules made by
YouTube, the significance of these two parameters is as follows:-
1. Unless you have at least 10,000 views on your channel videos, you can't
show your website as an Associated website on your cards or end screens that
you show on your videos. Therefore, you can't direct viewers to your website or
to your landing pages; and 2. Once you have over 100 subscribers to your
channel you can apply for your YouTube custom URL. So, just to recap:
1. TrueView ads i.e. the discovery and in-stream ads, are charged on a cost
per view basis. Discovery ads incur costs when the video is clicked on, and the
in-stream ads incur costs following the "30 second" rule; 2. Tthe actual cost of a video
ad depends on the number of variable factors; 3. Because your video ad is aimed
at a relevant and targeted audience you should be able to generate higher
quality i.e. warm traffic; 4. There are a number of
other benefits by running YouTube ads over other forms of advertising; and 5.
Views and subscriber numbers can increase significantly with their own inherent
benefits. In the next video we'll ask if a YouTube video ad is right for your
business Thanks for watching. Look out for another video on video marketing and
YouTube coming your way next week. And if you liked this video please click the

with 26 cookies, but depending on the size of the dough balls, you may have a
little more or less.

Doctors Tell Parents Newborn Is Dead, But When They Hand Baby To Mother A Miracle Occurs
It sounds like one of those riddles we told as kids that seemed impossible to answer:
"One baby was born first, but the other has been alive longer.
How is this possible?"
For the Ogg family, though, this is no riddle – it's their life.
In 2010, David and Kate Ogg were excitedly awaiting the birth of their twins.
But when Kate went into labor on March 25 at only 27 weeks, they grew concerned.
Kate gave birth to a boy and a girl.
She and David were ecstatic.
Just a few minutes later, though, doctors came back with some heartbreaking news.
They asked the parents if they had chosen a name for the boy yet.
The Oggs said they had named him Jamie.
Then the doctors told them Jamie hadn't made it.
His lungs were underdeveloped, they said; he hadn't been able to breathe.
Heartbroken, Kate asked if she could hold her son and say goodbye.
"I'd carried him inside me for only six months – not long enough – but I wanted
to meet him, and to hold him, and for him to know us," Kate recalled.
"We'd resigned ourselves to the fact that we were going to lose him, and we were just
trying to make the most of those last, precious moments."
The doctors brought Jamie over to her and laid the tiny baby on her chest.
Kate held her son, soaking in the only precious moments she would ever get with him…and
then something miraculous happened.
"He suddenly gasped.
Then he opened his eyes," Kate recalled.
"He was breathing and grabbing Dave's finger."
Doctors said the movements were just reflexive and not a sign of life, but Kate's motherly
intuition told her otherwise.
She put some breastmilk on the tip of her finger and held it to Jamie's lips.
He eagerly sucked it up.
As Kate held him, Jamie seemed to get stronger and stronger.
Finally, doctors admitted what they previously thought impossible: Jamie had survived.
"We feel so fortunate," David said.
"We're the luckiest people in the world."
Now, seven years later, Jamie and his twin sister Emily are doing great.
There is no indication that the start of their lives was a rocky one.
Like most twins, the two share a very close bond.
Never was that more evident than when their parents shared their incredible birth story
with them for the first time.
"Emily burst into tears, she was really upset and she kept hugging Jamie," they
said.
The twins have since welcomed a little brother, Charlie, into their family.
Recognizing the power and importance of skin-to-skin contact, Kate says she told doctors to give
her Charlie right after he was born.
She held him for three-and-a-half hours.
Researchers have discovered that babies have a special set of nerves that are "exceedingly
sensitive" to pleasant human touch.
Skin-to-skin contact with their mothers releases oxytocin, which affects multiple areas of
their brains and makes their heartbeat and breathing more regular.
This so-called "kangaroo care" can also help minimize pain for babies.
Celeste Johnston, director of research at the McGill University School of Nursing in
Montreal, discovered that even just 15 minutes of skin-to-skin contact can help reduce pain
for babies.
Whenever she has to perform a painful procedure, such as a heel stick, she makes sure the babies
are held by their mothers first.
"I can't do control groups (with no skin-to-skin contact) anymore," she said, "because
I don't think it's ethical."
While medical professionals caution that holding a baby won't necessarily bring them back
from the dead, the evidence for the miraculous and healing powers of skin-to-skin contact
is overwhelming.
Thanks to Kate's motherly instincts and her determination to fight for her baby, little
Jamie is with them today.
What a miracle!
Were you amazed to see what happened after Kate held baby Jamie?
So share this!

Myriad of an indefinite large number
In Las Vegas, it seems as if there are myriad casinos on every street.
If you are going to New York City for your vacation, you will find myriad attractions
you can visit.
Since John does not have a smartphone, he does not have access to the myriad apps that
are available on the market.
Because Jason is recovering from a stroke, he has myriad prescriptions to take.
In the city, there are myriad hotels that will charge you several dollars for a tiny
candy bar.
