Youtube daily report Nov 19 2017

Shri Mataji: You must put some heated butter in the nose, all of you.

Sahaja Yogi: Inside?

Shri Mataji: Inside, with a dropper, alright?

Heat butter and fill it up.

And then, when it is slightly warm, not very warm, absolutely slightly warm, then put it

in your nose, very important, because the- I don't know in this country, people, it's

a very simple thing to be done once in a while, about say two or three days later or even

every day you do, doesn't matter.

It's like putting cream on your hands, you see, because the cold weather also chaps inside

the lining of the nose.

And when you put this, it makes the nose smooth and you don't get troubles of it.

It's very simple.

All of you should do, all the Sahaja Yogis are supposed to do.

There are so many things that a Sahaja Yogis are supposed to do, one of them is this, that

try to keep you Hamsa Chakra alright.

By keeping your nose alright you are keeping your Hamsa Chakra better.

So better use this simple method of heating some ghee, we call it.

You see, you can prepare it, heat the butter, keep it in a bottle with a dropper, and heat

it in the hot water and then put it in the nose, just like that, in the night, before

sleeping.

Even in the ears, we must put olive oil.

It's very important.

For the teeth also, you must take some salt, put some olive oil and rub your gums.

With that, you won't have to go to the dentist anymore.

That's the best, I've never been to a dentist all my life, and I don't want you

to go to the dentist anymore.

So that's a very good way of rubbing your gums with vibrated salt and what you call

the olive oil.

Also you must oil your heads, every Saturday, with so much of oil, nicely, oil it, massage

your head and sleep off and next day, wash up your hair.

You'll feel very much better.

If any of you cannot give olive oil the best is almond oil for the head.

You'll keep very peaceful.

Specially your children, you must massage them till they're five years of age, every

night, when they go out to sleep in the night, nicely very- before sleeping.

And then put some powder, clean it out, let them sleep.

Then the children won't be running and upset and all that.

They'll become very quiet children, well-behaved children.

Because you people don't massage the children, all their lives they are jumping.

And all their lives they are slightly violent, you see, the nose must be smooth out.

It's a very simple method and as you are Realised people you'll smooth them much

more.

All these small, small things must be taken care of, you see.

Now if you have too much of cold, if you have too much of cold, then you can mix up with

a bit of camphor, with oil, and put that in the nose, little actually, not much, that

also is very good, that also smooth your cold and puts you right.

This country has one big problem with Vishuddhi chakra everywhere in the West, because of

the cold.

And in Sahaja Yoga it is compulsory that you must wear an undershirt.

It is compulsory.

Whatever may be, it is hot, cold, in India when it's steaming hot, you must wear an

undershirt, because, when it is very hot you start perspiring and that perspiration causes

problems.

So, always wear an undershirt, whether you are in a hot season or in a cold season.

That's a compulsion for Sahaja Yogis that they must wear.

And for all of them, also is compulsory that they should always wear a muffler when they

go out in the winter time this is an important thing.

And also put some cotton wool in the ears as I put it.

For your sake I've told you to put it cause you are careless, so I look after you but

putting it to my ears like this.

You all should put it before going out.

And keep your head covered in the night, when you sleep, cover your head with something

and then sleep.

Because most of the time, your body is all covered, but the head is not covered.

Because now you are Realised-souls and your Sahastrara is weak, so you must look after

your Sahastrara.

Cover your head so that you won't have any problem.

Also you must verify what sort of a person you are.

If you have a liver problem, you must get a diet for that, which is here, people will

tell you.

If you are left sided person, if you have left sided problems, then you must know about

the diet that you have to take.

For example, a person who is a left sided should not take carbohydrates at all, on the

contrary should eat proteins, in whatever form it is possible.

In Sahaja Yoga you know we don't believe in vegetarianism or anything, but we do believe

that the muscles of bigger animals than us, are not good for our teeth, or for our body

also because the structure of a muscular cell of a bigger animal is much bigger than ours.

And that's how they heat up, I mean, even by mistake if I eat some beef, or anybody

ask me, the other day, my cheeks were swollen up, so that's why it happens, it is an automatic

reaction.

And we are not supposed to use plastics; in our clothes, also try to avoid.

Some person, [?] plastic can be used but not all the time plastics and nylons.

And also the food should not be eaten in plastics.

You can eat it in paper, paper is alright because it is –what you call- is wood, it

doesn't matter.

But you shouldn't eat in plastic food, plactic with fork and spoon of plastic and it's

too much plastic in this country, be careful because plastic is anti-God.

It is anti-human life, it is anti-biological processes.

So avoid plastic as far as possible, be careful on that.

Also don't use, I mean, something out of absolute plastic like, I've seen I wanted

to buy one pair of slippers for myself, I couldn't get one in the all of New-York.

Because I didn't want a plastic.

And if you wear that then you develop all kinds of skin problems and diseases, so be

careful on that.

There are so many other things we have to be careful about.

And because we have found out that these things are harmful, that's why we have made it

compulsory that every one of you must be careful.

Because now you have become the temple of God and the temple of God should be healthy.

We don't want tubercular patients to go around as saints nobody is going to believe

them.

Sahaja Yogi: Can you just tell us about sugar.

Shri Mataji: Ah.

Now there is another falsehood about- thank's God it's now broken- that the sugar is against

our growth and all that.

Sugar is very important for attention, specially people who suffer from liver.

For example, people who are thin, mostly, suffer from liver trouble.

For them, sugar is so important, that if they don't take sugar, they'll become like

the sugar cane which is, comes out of the machine, pressing machine, you see.

They'd better take some sugar.

Sugar is very important for your liver!

Best carbohydrate is the white sugar, not the red sugar; red sugar is not good because

it has got molasses, it's very heating.

Some people have funny ideas here, also about food.

Like, some of them believe, that if you eat natural food- and once I got something from

natural store and I got diarrhoea for five days!

Because it was meant for animals not for human beings.

Like some people eat, what you call them [Shri Mataji speaks in Marathi] cotton seed.

Now cotton seeds we give only to animals.

I can't believe it.

But I've seen in Switzerland, they give cotton seed in the bread.

There was cotton seeds in the bread, one or two is alright, but imagine [Shri Mataji speaks

in Hindi] – Laughs from Hindi speakers.

I mean it has to be given to buffalos only!

[Laughter] Like that, I was given a [inaudible] You see, these are very strong things.

In the same way, very soft food is also not good, we have to be in the centre in everything.

Don't eat very raw food you see, like some of the bread in France you know, even in England

we find, the bread cereals [inaudible] completely.

So that kind of a crispy stuff is not needed.

It should be such that your gums are looked after, there are delicate things, and have

food which is good for you.

Don't go with rationality, don't go with the fashion, but whatever is good for you

that should be done.

And you find out about yourself, what is your temperament, what sort of a food will suit

you, and accordingly you should eat.

Of course, everybody is free to do what they like but we can only advise them that this

will suit you and you'll find out it will be very useful to all of you, it will help

you.

For your hair growth, also you should get vibrated oil and use it.

Now, you'll be surprised that day, somebody saw Warren and he said: "He is the same

fellow?

He looks much younger".

So I said: "Yes".

he had a bald head from here to here like that and now he's grown hair.

With proper care, you can have you hair quite intact, for quite some time, if you look after

your hair.

But hair is very important is not so much the look, but it's Sahastrara.

And if you put oil in your Sahastrara every week, you will have a smooth personality,

a smooth behaviour, a smooth movement; you'll deal with other people in a gentle manner.

So this is very necessary.

In India we actually have a big masseur attached to a family, you see, he's a very hefty

fellow, and he comes to masseur [massage] the men, you see, and he just sits on their

body and really finishes them off completely!

At the first shot, they're dead!

Then he uses their body fully and pushes them and sits on them rub them with one clap!

You see, five, six of them will be jumping on five, six people.

With clap, they'll go round.

By the time the second clap comes in, the person is finished!

That's how, that's how they manage.

But there is no importance on massage in here, you see.

And don't ask a non Sahaja Yogi to massage you, never.

Don't allow anybody to touch you that way because, you see, these people carry all bad

vibrations and you may suffer.

You must allow only the Realised souls to massage you, if possible, or you yourself

should massage yourself.

But don't go to these masseurs and people who are massaging all kind of people and they

might be giving you some troubles.

So one has to be very careful about certain things and certain personal habits also which

we have discussed.

And you can ask Warren, he'll tell you about it, which are very important for Mooladhara

and all those things, which must be followed, whether you are in England, America, anywhere.

These must be followed to keep yourself clean outside and inside.

Now if you have any question.

Sahaja Yogi: I was only wondering about the kind of techniques that we should use when

massaging the children.

But I guess we can talk about that another time.

Shri Mataji: I mean, anyway you use is alright, but always, you put it upwards, you see?

The movement should be upwards, but use oil otherwise you pull up, you pull up their hair.

So use oil to put it upwards.

Sahaja Yogi: And don't forget the Sahasrara.

Shri Mataji: Sahasrara, don't forget.

Sahasrara you must put lot of oil on children.

Sahaja Yogi: Mother we're gone need more hairdressers, people who can cut hair, who

are Realised souls, cause they are touching our Sahastrara while cutting.

Shri Mataji: Yes.

Otherwise you can grow, what's the harm?

Sahaja Yogi: We can grow our hair Mother?

Shri Mataji: Yes here, up to here [below the ears] you can grow and turn them round.

Shri Mataji: You see, you'll look like a philosopher, quite impressive.

Shri Mataji: But you should not be a funny looking person.

That's one thing very important you see.

You have to, not to adopt some funny methods, you see?

Like people have.

Specially, nowadays, the fashion is to disable your hair and keep them absolutely disabled,

there's no need of doing- Sahaja Yogi: The hair must be up there, over

the forehead.

Shri Mataji: Ah!

It should be keep back over the forehead, don't cover your forehead or your eyes,

never.

Sahaja Yogis: Agnya chakra Shri Mataji: Ah.

Agnya chakra.

You must keep it open, you see, always open.

You must have a centre path if it's possible, but keep the forehead open, this is important.

You should keep the forehead open, it's very good for others you see, and don't

cover your eyes with any hair.

Many people have a habit of allowing the hair to come in the eyes and you'll have [inaudible].

Children also, never allow hair to come on their eyes.

Then we have something for the eyes also, what you call Netranjan, I don't have now

anything, but it's a very good, simple thing, cots you nothing about- [Shri Mataji speaks

aside] one cent of a dollar.

Sahaja Yogi: We have some, we can send them tomorrow.

Shri Mataji: Alright, they have some, they'll give you, which is to be applied first very

carefully.

Because if you are not used to it, it will a little bit burn and the tears will start

coming out of your eyes, it will clear your eyes.

And you'll be surprised, with that, if you use it, you don't develop these bags [dark

circles] and things like that.

And the water flows out.

It's a very simple thing.

And for soap also, try to use natural soaps, better use, because here the soaps are such

that I don't know what to say.

Sahaja Yogi: Paramolove Mother?

Paramolove, I think that is about the only soap you can get here.

Shri Mataji: Yes that is good, Paramolove is good.

It's very good.

Gap in the video

Shri Mataji: What to do, is to take a little oil, and heat with some clove, Cloves.

Sahaja Yogi: Cloves?

Shri Mataji: Cloves.

And let the oil be a little bit cool down, when it is quite cooled down, nor burning

out at all, but just warm, you can feel it, then put it in the ears.

Sahaja Yogini: Olive oil is better?

Shri Mataji: Olive oil is alright.

Gap in the video

Sahaja Yogi: Mother can you explain to us the techniques of vibrated sugar and vibrated

salt, by giving vibrations, I don't quite understand you see…

Shri Mataji: You see, because God has given you vibrations, the power is flowing through

you now, the vibrations are there.

So whatever you get from outside is touched by so many people, so many people have created

it and they have got a good mind or may be something's wrong with them, best thing

is to give them a bandhan before eating.

[Shri Mataji turns tree times her hand] Any food you eat you must give it a bandhan

like this three times, so your vibrations flow into the food and you get it sanctified.

Or else, you can also use your hands for eating if you have washed your hands, then it's

alright.

Or else, if you are taking the water, you can just put your hands there, then it gets

vibrated, then drink it.

Because, the thing is, the vibrations have started flowing through your hands, but still

have not spread to your body fully.

You see my point?

Photoshop Tutorial: How to Create the Look of Vintage, Color Photos - Duration: 6:26.

Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

I'm going to show you how to transform color photos into the look of aged, vintage, photos

with light leaks and colors that have changed over time.

I provided a PSD file that you can download, so you can follow along.

Its link is in my video's description or project files below.

It includes 2 layers: a texture of cracks and a contemporary color photo of a rural gas station.

We'll convert the photo into a Smart Object, so we can modify it non-destructively,

as well as allow us to replace it with another photo without having to redo the effects.

To convert it, first, hide the crack texture and click the photo's thumbnail to make it active.

Click the icon at the upper, right of the Layers panel and click "Convert to Smart Object".

Click the Adjustment Layer icon and click "Curves".

To see the entire Curves panel, drag the bottom down until you see the entire histogram.

Open the Channels list and click "Red".

Go to the center and drag the anchor point to approximately here.

Click "Green" and drag the anchor points that I'm clicking on to approximately here.

Lastly, click "Blue" and do the same.

As I toggle back and forth, you see the difference before and after we applied the Curves adjustment layer.

Next, we'll add a soft dark vignette around the inside perimeter.

Click the Adjustment layer icon and Curves again.

This time, drag the highlight level straight down to approximately here.

Open your Brush Tool and Brush Picker.

Make the Size 700 pixels, the Hardness 0%and the Opacity & Flow 100%.

Then, press Enter or Return.

Brush over the central area to reveal the brighter image through the layer mask.

Let's open up the Layers panel, so we can see more layers at once.

Make the photo active and go to Filter, Blur and Gaussian Blur.

Blur it 1 pixel

and click OK or press Enter or Return.

Go to Filter and "Lens Correction".

We're going to simulate a concave distortion that many old photos had.

Click the "Custom" tab and under "Geometric Distortion", type in: 10.

Next, we'll add light leaks, which would often be seen on old photos because many old, cheap

cameras leaked light onto the film inside.

Make the "Curves 2" layer active and click the New Layer icon to make a new layer above it.

Name it, "Light Leaks".

Change the Blend Mode to "Color Dodge" and the opacity to 50%.

With your Brush Tool still active, make its opacity: 50%.

Click the foreground color and pick a bright red.

Then, click on some areas.

Click the foreground color again and this time, pick a bright yellow-orange.

Click on one or two dark areas of your image to brighten them and add color.

Make the Cracks texture visible and active.

Open your Channels panel.

If you don't see it, go to Window and Channels.

Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the RGB channel to make a selection of all the tonal values of the texture.

Open back the Layers panel and invert the selection by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + Shift + I.

Make a new layer

and click the foreground color.

For the Hue, type in: 0...the Saturation: 0...and the Brightness: 90%.

Then, fill the selection with that color and deselect it.

Make the Cracks texture layer active and press Ctrl or Cmd + A to select your canvas.

Go to Select and "Transform Selection".

In the Width field, type in 95% and for the Height, type in 93%.

To accept it, click the check-mark at the top or press Enter or Return.

Alt-click or Option-click the Layer Mask icon

to make an inverted layer mask of the selection next to the Cracks texture.

This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

Thanks for watching!

Why Study Your Dreams - The Man of My Dreams - Duration: 5:47.

Hello, it's Carol Chapman of Creative Dream Interpretation. If you've seen my

video about Larry Page's dream, you know that the first step to interpreting your

dreams is to write them down, because that way, you're going to remember them.

Okay, I know you're thinking, why go through the bother of writing my dreams

down? I'm not Larry Page. I'm not going to have a dream like his basically: how to

create Google. Well, you know, you are absolutely right. You are not going to have

Larry Page's dream. Not only that, if you did, you wouldn't know what to do with it.

You're gonna have your dream, you're going to have a dream about your life, about

your hopes, your fears, your work, your love, your health. Your dreams are about

you and your life. One really good reason to remember your dreams is that you

never know what your dreams are going to come up with. For example, a number of years

ago, I dreamt about a stranger, and we've now been married for 22 years. That's

right. I'm literally married to " The Man of My Dreams."

In a minute, I'm going to tell you all about it.

Remember, I'm telling you my story to encourage you to write your dreams down,

so you can remember them. At the time, I've been keeping a dream journal for

years, and I still do. So, when I had this dream,

I just quickly jotted it down, interpreted it the best I could, and went

on with the rest of my life. I assumed the man in the dream was just symbolic,

not a real man. At the time, I worked at NASA. You can imagine my astonishment

when, later that day, I was in the NASA cafeteria, holding my tray, and I looked

over, and there was the man I dreamt about. I was shaking so hard I almost

dropped my tray! I thought, okay how could this happen? How could this happen? And I

thought, all right, I must have subconsciously seen him out

of the corner of my eye and thought he was hot and then put him in my dream. And

I thought, you know, the other details in the dream like his work, his best friend, and

his dog, his house - I must just have made them up. However, that night before bed, I wrote

in my dream journal, "Just saw the man in my dream - looked at his hands,

no wedding band." If only my dream had been as easy as Larry Page's. All he had to do

was stay up for three hours in the middle of the night and work the math out

to see if it was doable to download the web and save the links. He'd been doing

math, you know, for most of his life. I, on the other hand, had never gone up to

a good-looking stranger I dreamt about. In fact, I'd never heard of anyone else

doing that. I'd never read an article. I'd never seen a talk show about it.

I'd never seen a video. I was terrified!

Well, eventually I did muster my courage, and I did go up to him, and well, we

started dating, and like I said, we've now been married for 22 years. And I also did find

out that the details in the dream about his house, his best friend, his work and

his dog - things that I could have never known about - were true as well.

So, I really do encourage you to write your dreams down and record them somehow,

because it'll help you to remember your dreams, and you never know what your

dreams are trying to tell you. Just think if I hadn't written my dream down. I was

a single mom, I had three kids, I had a full-time job. Plus, there's all those

other things I had to do like grocery shopping, I had a one hour commute to

work. If I hadn't written my dream down, I would have forgotten it just like that.

All right, it's Carol Chapman of Creative Dream Interpretation. If it's responsive

to you, "like" and "subscribe," and if you want to know more about dream

interpretation, just click on the link below. See you next video. I must have

just . . . whatever, ah ha, I have no idea what I was going to say next. All right, remember . . . ah, yeah!

CRY BABY BOOK TAG | xreadingsolacex [CC] - Duration: 7:16.

Hello you gorgeous individuals it's Kav and today I'm going to be doing the

"Cry Baby" book tag. I was tagged to do this by Ayah - I am very sorry if I pronounced her

name wrong - I will leave her blog in the description below so that you all can

check her out. This tag is essentially for Melanie Martinez fans and I am going

to just start with the tag. Let's get right into it. Cry Baby - a character that

is emotional. For this one, I'm going to go with Griffin from History is All You Left

Me. He is very emotional throughout this book and that's very understandable because

this book is essentially about the fact that his ex-boyfriend died and the only

person that can understand that is the boyfriend his ex was dating when

he died, so I can definitely understand the emotionalness he feels throughout

this novel, but he definitely is an emotional little bean who I love. And

also, I will never pass up an excuse to talk about Adam Silvera. Dollhouse -

a book with a dysfunctional family. For this one, I'm going to go with Girls Made of

Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust. This one is a queer feminist Snow White

retelling and if you know the story of Snow White - you know that there's an evil

stepmother which pretty much implies dysfunction, so this one definitely has

dysfunction and it has even more dysfunction than that because it goes back to the

king and the stepmother's family, too. This is currently what I'm reading as I'm

filming this and I'm really enjoying it, but I definitely think that there is

quite some dysfunction in the family of the story. Sippy Cup - a book that turned

out being darker than you expected. This one was a no-brainer -

it goes to Ash by Malinda Lo. Essentially, I thought this book was going to be a

cute queer Cinderella retelling and then it turned out to be quite dark and I

wasn't prepared for that lifestyle. I still enjoyed it, I thought it was a good

book, but I just wasn't prepared for the darkness of it. Carousel - a book about

first love. For this one, I'm going to go with The Upside of Unrequited by Becky

Albertalli. And it feels really weird talking about Becky in a Melanie Martinez video

because Becky is like light and fluffy and Melanie is

like darkness, but this one is definitely about first love. It's about a fat main

character with anxiety who was had so many crushes in her life, but she's never

really been in a relationship. I just loved this novel and I love all of

Becky's work. There is such a cute romance in this novel which is possibly

one of the cutest romances I've ever read which is saying something coming

for me because cute romances are like what I read. This novel definitely deals

heavily with first love. Alphabet Boy - a character that is not book-smart, but

is still successful. I'm going to go with Percy Jackson from the Percy

Jackson series and I know this isn't the Percy Jackson series - it's the Heroes of

Olympus series, but I really don't want to walk upstairs again. Essentially, Percy

is like pretty successful in his demigoddingness and no demigodding is not a word,

but I made it a word right here and right now.

I know that he is dyslexic, so he doesn't really have the easiest time in school,

so book-smart isn't necessarily his forte, but he is still successful in his

demigoddingness. Soap - a book that your opinions changed about over time. For

this one, I'm going to go with The Maze Runner series by James Dashner.

I originally read the first Maze Runner book when I was nine and I was

incredibly scared. I was like nine on a plane and I was like "o0h I want to read

that book" and my mom was like "you're not gonna be able to read it," but then I read

it anyway and I was super super freaked out, but I then I read it again when I was

in middle school and I fell in love with it and now I am a huge fan of the series.

This is the only book that I haven't read yet and that's because I literally

just got it a few months ago. I love the series now and I know that it's kind of

an old series, but you know what, I still like it,

I'm a fan. Training Wheels - favorite book relationship. This shouldn't come as a

surprise to anyone, but for this one I am going with Sizzy from The Mortal

Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Simon and Isabelle are my favorite

favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite book

relationship, I absolutely love them so so so much. I think that they are

perfect for each other - I love how there is some exchanging of some gender roles.

I just love everything about it - I identify really, really, really strongly

with Izzy, so just seeing the way her and Simon's relationship grew meant a

lot to me and I love this relationship so so so much. Pity Party -

a book you were excited for that ended up being a disappointment. I don't know

that I really have one for this answer. I mean, if I really went back and thought

about my reading I could definitely find one. Lately, since I have been part of

booktube, I've really been enjoying my reads - most of the books I've read this

year have been four or five star reads and that is saying something, so I'm not

gonna answer this one because I've been reading some great books lately.

Milk and Cookies - a book where a character seeks revenge. For this one, I'm

going to go with 27 Hours by Tristina Wright because one of the main characters,

Rumor, is definitely pretty hell-bent on revenge throughout the novel. He's a

pretty angry bi boy and honestly I relate. Pacify Her - a book with the

character that gets on your nerves. I don't know that I really have one

specific book for this one. I have a lot of answers because books tend to have

characters that piss me off - I'm not a huge fan of most main characters I

read about, so I could go on for a while with this answer, but I'm not gonna do

that. Mrs. Potato Head - a book where a character goes through a major

physical change or where they face societal pressures. For this

one, I'm going to go with If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo. I'm choosing this for a book

where a character faces societal pressures. I mean the main character goes through a

physical change - she's trans and she transitions, but I'm choosing this more for

societal pressures because throughout the story we get to see both the present

and the past of the main character's journey, so we get to see how society has

affected her journey and she definitely feels the pressure of society - not

necessarily to act a certain way, but she faces it in basically wanting to be

herself because she isn't necessarily allowed to do that and I definitely just

think that more people should read this novel because it's very simple in its

explanation of transness and I think that's important. I think it's a good

introduction to it - I think it can teach cis readers, who don't necessarily

understand what it's like for transgender people, a lot because it

is an ownvoicess experience. Mad Hatter - a book with an eccentric character. I'm

going to cop-out of this one and say the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. See what I did there? For

those of you who don't know, Alice in Wonderland is my favorite fairy-tale of

all time, so it's not totally a cop-out because I re-read that novel pretty often

so like it's pretty valid as an answer. Tag You're It - tag someone. So I don't

really know people who are Melanie Martinez fans on booktube, but if you are,

then I tag you - go ahead and do it. That's all I have for this video. I hope you all

enjoyed it. If you did, please give it a like and subscribe because that stuff

makes me happy and go ahead and comment down below your answers to some of these

questions and let me know if you are a Melanie Martinez fan and if so, tell me

what your favorite song is by her because I am one myself.

And as usual, all of my social media and my goodreads will be in the description

below if you'd like to follow me anywhere else.

Thank you all so much for watching. I hope you are having a lovely day or night

wherever you are, please remember you're beautiful and you deserve the world, and I

will see you next week with a brand new video,

goodbye!

Ultra Instinct Returns! Episode 116 Animation Breakdown - Dragon Ball Super - Duration: 10:41.

Before we begin today's video, I feel like it's important to say a few words regarding

the passing of Bulma's voice actress, Hiromi Tsuru.

She very unfortunately passed away at only age 57 from an aortic dissection, which is

essentially where part of your heart tears.

It's never easy when you lose a critical member of a beloved franchise.

It's hard enough when it's due to natural causes, but when it comes at, not necessarily

a young age, but one very far from the nation's average life span, it's even more difficult.

It's shocking… and there's no preparing for such a shock.

Bulma was right there from the very start of Dragon Ball, and she's the first real

friend Goku ever made.

Her voice has been a huge part of the series for decades, and it definitely won't be

the same without her.

I wish the very best for Tsuru's friends and family during this horrific time – this

kind of thing is never easy.

But I also want to offer a huge thank you to the community for being so wonderful in

honouring her death.

My Twitter feed has been packed to the brim with beautiful tributes.

I'm not good with words with these types of things, but hopefully I speak for everyone

when I say, We miss you, and we hope you rest in peace.

It' s so rare that my predictions are 100% on the money.

I'm either too excited and let down, or I expect nothing, and get blown away.

Either way, I don't get things nailed down perfectly, but this week was a lovely exception!

In my last video, I mentioned that Shuuichiro Manabe, one of the supervisors for this episode,

only had 6 weeks to do his part here, but had contributed on an episode in between that,

so would have had even less time.

I said it'd be down to the talented key animators under him to bring the good stuff.

And good god, did they bring the good stuff.

This was a fantastic episode, and I'm so excited to break it down for you today.

We've got a lot to cover.

So let's jump right in with the basics, this was supervised by two in-house Toei staff:

Shuuichiro Manabe, as I already mentioned, and Yoichi Onishi.

And it's Onishi here who handles the first half.

I only recently got a real handle on his style – he popped up very briefly between episodes

40 and 50, and I never got to grips with him until he made his return to the series for

episode 102.

I've gone over his style a little bit in the past, but to reiterate, the traits that

stand out most to me are the eyebrows, in particular, the wide furrowed brow and relatively

thin eyebrows.

He also favours prominent upturned noses, and in general, his expressions are very fierce.

The Chief Animation Supervisor this week is Miyako Tsuji, and her approach to corrections

is pretty strong, so while you can see Onishi's style coming out in certain places – mostly

on side characters – it's Tsuji who feels most prominent in this half.

This has become a bit of a running theme with Onishi's contributions since returning.

I'm not sure if the chief supervisors feel his style is too jarring with the rest of

the show, or if his work is naturally as problematic as what we saw from him back in episode 49.

I don't really mind too much, but I only mention it because it was a little jarring

going from someone whose style is so aggressive looking, to someone like Tsuji, whose work

is much, much softer.

I think the scene that this stood out most to me was when a long-shot of Vegeta by Onishi

cut to a close-up by Tsuji, and then to an extreme close-up by Onishi.

Admittedly the long shot is kind of ugly, but the point is that the difference is expressions

from cut to cut to cut doesn't flow very naturally.

It's a very minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, but I felt like mentioning

it because, as I've said in the past, I've found the other chief supervisor, Takeo Ide's

work, far more cohesive with everyone else in this arc.

It'll be interesting to keep an eye on how that progresses as we move forward.

The action in this half is pretty light, but the highlight comes from our friendly neighbourhood

Chinese animator, Tu Yong-ce, who produces the moment where Caulifla charges up her attack

– you can see the lightning bolts and smoke that are very much like his Super Saiyan 3

reveal back in 113.

As she charges forward and misses, she stumbles a bit, and it's so animated and packed with

personality – we don't get to see stuff like this much in Super, so I always get a

bit excited when we do.

It follows up with Goku effortlessly dodging her attacks, before a neat little scene where

he slides down the mountain.

This, for me, was where I really took notice of the excellent direction and storyboard

in this episode.

They were done by Makoto Sonoda, who's brand new to Super, having only ever directed someone

else's storyboard back in episode 101.

He's someone who came across from Tiger Mask W, where he was one of the strongest

directors on board there – Episode 29 being a standout.

He's very good at creating intense episodes.

And what's cool is that he's also an animator.

I don't know if this has any bearing on his ability to create interesting action,

but I was really impressed by not only his framing that did a great job of establishing

the scale and intensity of the battle, but the way in which he choreographed the action.

In the scene we just mentioned, we've got a good focus on vertical action, and that

continues through into the second half that we're about to touch on.

The action on display is far more than just horizontal exchanges of blows, and the episode

is all the better for it.

So let's move into the second half, this is where Shuuichiro Manabe takes over supervising.

His style in recent months has become closer and closer to the character sheets, much to

my disappointment, as I really loved his rough exaggerated style.

Not too much has changed in this episode, but perhaps due to time, there are certain

shots that really do hark back to my favourite scenes of his.

I wonder if it was perhaps due to time constraints that he just drew how he wanted for this episode.

Either way, I'm not complaining!

As far as his contributions go in terms of animation, they are unsurprisingly light,

as we knew they would be due to a lack of time.

He animates the scene early on in the second half where Goku sends Caulifla flying into

the ground, before he zooms in and sends her flying through the rocks.

Despite not being particularly long or outstanding, it's a great little masterclass of his style.

From his unique looking smoke, to the angular effects, extreme gestures, and gaping mouths

– this is Manabe through and through, and it's what makes him one of the most interesting

animators working on Super.

But with that said and done, this now brings us onto the absolute highlight of the episode,

as the insert song kicks in once again.

The scene we're about to cover primarily from Futoshi Higashide, who if you don't

know, is one of Super's craziest animators.

He's the guy who almost singlehandedly made the Future Trunks arc worth watching – almost

every bit of great animation came from him.

In this arc, particularly in this tournament, he's not been producing anywhere near as

much work, or as much QUALITY work as in the past.

It's been guys like Miuma, Nikaido, and Tu who have really been pushing the boat out.

The last noteworthy scene from Higashide was three months ago.

What a way to make a return, though.

What a way to wave a banner that says, "I'm still here, and I'm still fantastic".

He animates the scene where Goku sprints across the arena, dodging Caulifla's blasts.

It leads through to where the rocks blow up, and Goku jumps across all the debris, charging

his Kamehameha.

It's a phenomenal scene, and it's the best I have ever seen from Higashide on this

show – he really came out firing on all cylinders, and I could not be happier.

THIS is the animator I feel in love with throughout the Future Trunks arc.

As Caulifla unleashes her whirlpool energy discs, this is where legendary mecha animator,

Ken Otsuka, comes in and delivers one of the most memorable Kamehameha's since Goku vs

Cell.

I love the way this is framed – again, Sonoda's storyboard is fantastic – and Otsuka brings

it to life perfectly.

He even brought in his friend, Kenta Yokoya, who's one hell of an animator, often associated

with Studio Bones, to finish up with a tiny little contribution as the Kamehameha pierces

through the arena.

He also helped out with some of the close-ups of Goku.

It's really cool to see exceptional freelancers like that pop up on Super, even if they're

not necessarily producing to the best of their abilities.

It always open up the potential for them to return, as we have seen with Ken Otsuka.

Yokoya was very busy in the lead up to this week – aside from this little scene in Super,

he also supervised an episode of Kekkai Sensen, and did key animation on Garo – Vanishing

Line.

It'd be nice if we saw him return later down the line, and blow us all away with the

best of his abilities.

I'm being overly optimistic, but you never know.

That wraps up this week's episode – that was one hell of a ride, and I'm so happy

they managed to make Ultra Instinct feel just as special as the first time it appeared.

There's a very specific way of animating that form that not everyone can pull off,

so I'm glad we had all of the talent mentioned today to make things possible.

Next week is from Yoshitaka Yashima.

I want everyone to lower expectations right the way down.

Yashima is primarily a solo animator, meaning he animates an entire episode by himself,

pretty much.

With solo episodes, you don't typically get much in the way of special movement, so

expect a very conservative effort, unless they've gone out of their way to give him

a specialist action animator like they did in episode 100.

Treat it like a small stepping stone before episode 118 rolls around, which should be

a great highlight to kick off December.

Naoki Tate, Masato Mistuka – it should be great.

But thanks for watching, this was the most fun I've had breaking down an episode in

a while.

Let me know how you found it – did you enjoy the Kafla trilogy as a whole, were the visuals

the only thing keeping you interested?

Let me know!
