Youtube daily report Nov 22 2017

Contrary to evolution, the Bible says people were brilliant from the beginning.

Geniuses in the Genealogies.

This week on Creation Magazine LIVE!

Welcome to Creation Magazine LIVE!

My name is Richard Fangrad. and I'm Calvin Smith.

This week on Creation Magazine LIVE our topic is Geniuses in the Genealogies.

Yes, once again we want to highlight that despite what some Christian individuals or

even seminary's or 'ministries' promote, the story of evolution does NOT match what

the Bible says! Right.

Evolution teaches that humans started out as unsophisticated ape-like hominids that

spoke in grunts and so on, and beat their wives over the head with clubs and that kind of thing, and slowly developed more and more brain power until we could

finally develop speech, simple technology's like stone axes, philosophical constructs like

the idea of a Creator God, etc., until finally we became the geniuses we are today.

Oh we are so smart. You know it's kind of interesting because what they promote is that it wasn't until we became

more intelligent that we could create language, you need intelligence to create language, but the most sophisticated

language we've ever seen, DNA, you require that to even have even the simplest life form! I don't know if anyone has ever thought that through.

But anyways... I digress. The Bible says that the original people God created were brilliant and implies

that we haven't got smarter and better, but actually worse and worse over time because

of the Fall of man.

If evolution were true, the further we look back in history the evidence should show a gradual

decline in man's intelligence, moving closer to the ape's of course.

Biblical creation would indicate otherwise.

Man, created in God's image, has always been intelligent.

People make discoveries and invent things, and this knowledge is passed on and built upon.

In this way, technology can increase within a society, but this isn't because people

become more intelligent.

A short time after creation, people were already inventing things such as herding, agriculture,

musical instruments, and metal-working.

We read about that in Genesis 4:21–22.

They didn't have a history of people slowly working things out before them, so that means they figured

out how to do that incredibly quickly, which indicates brilliance.

And by the time of the Flood, mankind could have reached a high level of technical 'know-how'.

We don't know exactly how high, but there are some clues in the Bible.

Yes, for example Stonehenge—it's massively heavy, the stones there, precisely positioned, and for years

those stone slabs defied explanation for those thinking that the builders were 'less evolved'.

It's recently been demonstrated that greased planks, ropes, and a little bit of ingenuity applied by fully

intelligent people would be enough to do the job.

You know it's funny because some people, because of the incredible sophistication of the construction and constructs and

of some of the artifacts we see from so called ancient men, because of how complicated they are, they've proposed that visitors

from space must have helped build the great pyramids of Egypt and Central America for example.

They thought, well we couldn't even do it today so obviously less advanced people (I.e. less smart people or less evolved people),

they couldn't have done it so we must have had help from highly evolved aliens!

Yes, is advanced technology from an alien civilization needed to explain how ancient

man could for example move huge stones, build monumental structures, create intricate artwork and organize complex cultures?

The Bible says no.

Man was extremely intelligent right from the start. It all fits with a Biblical history there.

Absolutely, it was sufficient for Noah and his helpers to be able to build a huge ocean-going vessel.

According to Genesis 6:15 the Ark measured approximately 135 metres long, 23 metres wide

and 13 metres tall and we know that these proportions were ideal for stability.

This colossal task would have required advanced knowledge in engineering, not to mention timber-working techniques etc.

Second, we can get some indication of the level of technology in those civilizations

which sprang up rapidly after the Flood.

Noah and his family would have tried to carry with them as much knowledge as they could obviously

to survive, and then restart civilization in the 'new world' for which they, of course, were headed.

And the Bible records that soon after the Flood, mankind built a huge city.

This was in the fertile river valley of Mesopotamia, around present-day Iraq.

Even evolutionists can't ignore the evidence here, and generally refer to this area as

the 'cradle of civilization'.

Which it was—but only for the post-Flood world.

When we get back we're going to look at some more evidence from our intelligent forefathers…Join us in just a moment...

Most people know that pollen can cause problems for those who suffer from hay fever.

But did you know that pollen is also a major problem for the evolutionary interpretation

of the fossil record?

Since the 1960s, the scientific literature has reported the presence of pollen and spores

within a rock layer called the Roraima Formation in South America.

This formation is supposedly over 550 million years old, yet according to evolutionary theory,

flowering plants that produce pollen didn't evolve for another 390 million years!

So why do we find pollen in the fossil record so long before the first flowering plants appear?

The simplest explanation is that the fossil record doesn't represent the evolution of

life on this planet over eons of time, but is better explained as a consequence of the

year long global flood of Noah and its aftermath.

This is recorded in the book of Genesis, chapters 6, 7, and 8.

If you've just tuned in, this week we are talking about Geniuses in the Genealogies. Geniuses in the past.

You can see many lists of people we've all descended from listed there in the Bible.

How did they live, what did they do, were they smart or were they 'unsophisticated'

shall we say?

Well we mentioned after the Flood people built the tower of Babel which was probably a ziggurat,

or one of the first types of pyramids, like others that are still standing in the area around present-day Babylon.

Similar styles of pyramids are found in ancient civilizations all over the world. For example when I went down to the Maya Riviera a couple of times they were all

those ziggurat shaped pyramids. Yes but Evolutionary historians believe that each culture devised the same style of building independently.

But it seems more plausible to suggest that they are similar because they all came from

the same origin: Babel.

As with any group of people in society today, those that existed at the time of the Tower

of Babel would have had a diverse range of skills.

Some were builders, some were artists, and others farmers, etc.

However, when God divided the groups by language, the broad pool of knowledge was divided also.

Right, and the original groups that became, for example, the civilizations of the Egyptians and Mayans

obviously included people skilled in civil engineering, look at what they built, as evidenced

by the rapid establishment of those cultures.

Other groups would have lacked such knowledge.

Yes, imagine if you and your extended family were suddenly forced to migrate rapidly into

an unpopulated wilderness.

Even though we come from a society with a lot of technology, great technology, it's likely that your family group

wouldn't carry all of the necessary knowledge with you to, for example, be able to find

ore-bodies, and smelting techniques to work metals.

So you might choose to use stone tools for example to survive.

Right, so just because we see some societies today that don't have certain technologies

or what we would consider more sophisticated ways of life doesn't mean they didn't

come from a culture that was actually more advanced than they are today.

It could have happened.

The traditional view of so-called 'cultural evolution' is that hunter-gatherer societies

became agricultural societies, which then became industrial ones, and so on.

Technology, it has always been taken for granted, always increases.

When anthropologists came across a hunter-gatherer society, the standard assumption was that

they had never, in their cultural past, had an agricultural society.

Well we're going to look into that and see if that's right.

However, according to what the Bible teaches, when we come across a hunter-gatherer society

today, since these are the descendants of people who built a city at Babel, the inference is clear.

Even though such hunter-gatherer societies show no signs of, for example, agriculture, they

have descended from societies which did practice agriculture.

Its therefore of great interest to creationists whenever evidence emerges that societies can

in fact lose technology or that a particular hunter-gatherer society has descended from an

agricultural society in relatively modern times.

Yes, and one such incidence is the story of the Moriori.

Around a thousand years ago, Polynesian farmers colonised New Zealand to become the Maori.

Soon afterwards, a group of Maori colonised the Chatham islands about 800 km east of New

Zealand and became known as the Moriori.

In 1835 Maori invaders invaded the Chatham islands there, enslaving and killing most of the Moriori

and the rest were largely wiped out over the succeeding years by their Maori conquerors.

Interestingly, although they had originally been an agricultural society, the Moriori

had long since reverted to become hunter-gatherers.

This made sense for them—because the islands were too cold to grow the largely tropical Maori crops.

And without being able to store surpluses of crop food, they "could not support and

feed nonhunting craft specialists, armies, bureaucrats and chiefs".

They were therefore a less warlike society, which made them vulnerable to Maori attacks.

So the lesson here is that the standard evolutionary story of anthropological cultural development

has been shown to be unsound.

Hunting-gathering isn't a sign of being 'primitive' or 'less-evolved' but

can simply be a means of coping with a particular situation people find themselves in.

And we'll be back with just a little bit more in just a moment…

On this week's episode we are talking about Geniuses in the Genealogies.

The Bible says people started off as being very intelligent.

It also says that the curse has been wearing out the creation for about 6,000 years now.

Is their evidence that our great-grandfathers actually had more brainpower than we do?

A good question, and in fact a new study led by psychologist Michael Woodley from Umea

University in Sweden has found that our 19th century ancestors were quote, "substantially cleverer"

than we are.

The researchers compared reaction times (basically reflex speed) as an indicator of our 'fleetness

of mind' they called it, or general intelligence across the generations since way back in the 1800s.

Now we should point out that although the alternative indicator, IQ, is a useful measure

of general intelligence today, the researchers could not meaningfully compare it directly

across different eras as earlier generations usually had only limited access to education,

nutrition, and hygiene, which probably would have boosted modern results.

Right, however, when they compared modern reaction times with those measured in the

late 19th century by Francis Galton…

Who by the way was Charles Darwin's first cousin who founded the eugenics movement…Yes!

So when they compared modern reaction times to the Victorians they found that an average

man in 1889 had a reaction time of 183 milliseconds, but in 2004 it had slowed to 253 milliseconds.

For the average woman, too, there was a deterioration over this same time period: from 188 down to 261ms.

Now what the researchers say is that this slowing in our reflexes can be equated to

a loss of 14 IQ points since Victorian times.

This "pronounced decline" is three times larger than previous theoretical estimates.

And this study, along with genetic studies showing progressive mutational degradation

of our human genome, with about 100 new mutations or so per generation, it's just more evidence of our

being in "bondage to decay", as the Bible says in Romans 8.

Yes and by the way you can see Dr John Sanford's ground-breaking book about this what we call Genetic

Entropy and the Mystery of the Genome, the title of his book, at the creation.com bookstore, and you can also check out

the show we've done about this from season 2 episode 3 called Genetic Mutation- Magnificent

Modifier or Mega Meltdown.

That was quite a mouthful!

Well what we see more and more from the evolutionary community is an admission that, what we would

understand as post Flood people, and what they assume in an evolutionary/uniformitarian

scheme of earth history of the past, is that the understanding of ancient man is changing,

the depictions of them are becoming more intelligent.

Yes they are.

For instance, evolutionists had assumed that the Paleolithic people lacked cognitive and technological

means to build boats for example.

However, the recent discovery of stone tools from an archeological survey on the Greek

island of Crete challenges this view—clear back to the early Paleolithic. Yes.

Archeologists had previously thought that Crete had not been colonized by humans until

the late Neolithic period.

This conclusion was mainly deduced from the belief that Crete has been separated from

the mainland for 5–6 million years, and so for Paleolithic man to reach Crete he needed boats.

Paleolithic sites in Spain also suggest that early man crossed the Gibraltar Strait.

All these discoveries or deductions mean that early people, including what people usually call Neandertals

and Homo erectus, built boats and could navigate the seas and show they were much more intelligent than

evolutionists have given them credit.

The ability of early man to build boats has also reinforced by the arrival of humans thought

to be Homo erectus about a million years ago, in the evolutionary scheme, on Indonesia's

Flores Island, which must have been by boat.

Also, pre-Neolithic people made it to Australia by at least 50,000 years ago in the evolutionary time scale.

So what we see more and more is that these ancient people which were once depicted as not that intelligent were actually very intelligent. And of course

when we get back we're going to continue looking at this, looking at how 'ancient man' is being portrayed

as less intelligent in the past well now they are much smarter. And we'll be back in just one moment...

What do marine fossils on the top of Mount Everest tell us about the Biblical Flood?

Well, we find fossils of marine creatures in limestone near the summit, which means

that this area must have been under the sea in the past.

Everyone agrees that the top of Everest was once under the sea.

However, many people do not associate these rocks and fossils with Noah's Flood because

they think there is not enough water to cover the highest mountains.

However, they are not considering how the Flood changed the earth's topography.

The mountain ranges formed at the end of the Flood.

With vertical earth movements towards the end of the flood, the mountains rose and the

water flowed off the continents into the newly formed oceans basins.

Indeed, such mountains must have formed quickly and recently, otherwise they would have eroded

as quickly as they formed.

That's why we have marine fossils at the tops of high mountains.

Our subject this week is Geniuses in the Genealogies.

The Bible says that people started off being very intelligent.

Evolution often depicts the earliest humans as being quite primitive thinkers.

What does science show?

Well the processing of milk, especially the production of cheese, is considered a technically

complex process and is also considered a critical development in the 'evolution' of man

that came very late in human evolution.

The finding in northwest Anatolia of abundant milk residues on pottery from the 6th millennium

BC and potsherds pierced with small holes with abundant milk fat, very likely used for

making cheese, has pushed back milk processing 3,000 years in the evolutionary scheme, which is just another sign that people have been intelligent from

the get-go. Archeologists working in South Africa have recently unearthed spear tips that are

claimed to be 500,000 years old. Amazing, half a million years old.

The deduction was based on the modification and damage on stone points consistent with

having been attached to spear handles.

This extends the ability to make stone tipped spears by 200,000 years.

The use of wooden spears, found among the remains of butchered horses in Germany, has

already pushed back the use of spears to 400,000 years ago.

And another South African cave has produced organic human artifacts claimed to be 44,000 years old.

These artifacts include evidence of the oldest use of poisoned arrows for hunting and the

use of beeswax.

It is also interesting that the artifacts are nearly identical to those which are still in use

by the Bushmen of southern Africa today.

So its likely that all of these archaeological sites represent post-Flood man.

The pushing back in 'evolutionary time' of man's abilities means that post-Flood

man was more intelligent than evolutionists believe, more and more supporting the belief

that man was always intelligent and never evolved from some ape-like creature.

Now its actually undisputed that some of our ancestors had access to advanced technology

capable of producing things like the pyramids that modern engineers can't even replicate today.

However, some have hugely overstated the case of how smart our ancient ancestors must have been, arguing that Noah had access to extremely advanced technology.

Similar to what we have today. Yes. That's going a bit far.

One well-known creationist leader actually claimed that Noah and his contemporaries could

have had tools, machines and techniques not inferior to those of today.

But this is obviously fallacious: if they had techniques just as good as we had ours, then when they were building the Ark for example then

why didn't they use some kind of lightweight titanium alloy, attach an outboard motor, and for good

measure, videotape the events for posterity, that would have been nice.

Yes, such claims overlook a vital factor: intelligence isn't enough for scientific advance.

Historically and logically, the rise of modern science depended strongly on certain assumptions,

and these were derived from a biblical Christian worldview, including honesty, rationality,

and a Law giving Creator and upholder of the universe.

Conversely, science was stillborn in many ancient cultures such as Greece and China.

Also, much of today's technology comes not from superior intellect per se, but from building

on the results of previous research.

Even the great creationist scientific genius Sir Isaac Newton said, "If I have seen further

it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants." Yes.

This required a relatively peaceful society that provided enough time to investigate nature

and pass on the results. There's an organized structure there in society to do that that needed to be there.

It's hard to advance technology when everything you write down is in danger of being destroyed

by conquering armies or vigilantes or vandals or things like that. So when Christianity took hold in the Western World and you had police forces and armies

and you had people living a good enough lifestyle, they didn't have to struggle for survival.

Then they turned to art and science and so on, and had the right...

You need the organization of a society there with something like a police force of a government to maintain moral order.

In order for technology to increase. Doesn't mean people weren't intelligent.

Now of course some have understandably pointed to wartime as a fruitful time for military

innovations.

But in the overall scheme of things, it's still the periods of peace that were most

advantageous, as opposed to the more specialized advances made in weaponry during war.

And even during the world wars, for example, World War 1, World War 2, there was peace within the countries. For example, even though

the UK and US were on war footing, these nations maintained order within their nations.

The Flood society was different: it was a society full of violence. Only evil continually.

Yes, the pre-Flood world was far from a biblically-based civilization; rather, it rejected God and

was full of violence as we read in Genesis 6:11.

These are hardly the conditions required for good scientific research, and technology to advance, and this is the

main thing overlooked by those who overstate the technology of Noah's time.

So next time you read through the Biblical genealogies hopefully you will see them as

they are rightly presented.

There were definitely some geniuses in the genealogies!

And we'll be back!

Well welcome to our 'In the News' section where

we take something in the popular news that has something to do with the creation/evolution

debate and discuss and analyse it and go from there. OK.

Here's an interesting one titled, 'Mystery of Why Turtles Have Shells Solved After 8-Year Old Finds Fossil'.

Well that sounds pretty good...

Yes very enlightening I'm sure.

Here we go. "Some time ago, an 8-year old named Kobus Snyman

found some turtle bones on his father's farm in South Africa.

The six-inch turtle specimen then made its way to scientists studying the ancient evolution

of turtles and, specifically, how and why turtles evolved to wear protective shells." That's the way the article starts.

Let's find out why they got shells. And skipping down a bit here, "…scientists never quite understood why turtles had shells

in the first place.

Were they always for protection?

It seemed like an awfully cumbersome way to go about it, and, as it turns out, the shells

weren't originally for protection at all." Oh! Good to know. The article continues,

"Why the turtle shell evolved is a very Dr. Seuss like question and the answer seems pretty

obvious—it was for protection," says Tyler Lyson, who led the research.

"But just like the bird feather did not initially evolve for flight—we now have early relatives

of birds such as tyrannosaur dinosaurs with feathers that definitely were not flying—the

earliest beginnings of the turtle shell was not for protection but rather for digging

underground to escape the harsh South African environment where these early proto turtles lived."

Where do you start with a story like that?

I mean, I think the Dr Seuss reference was pretty relevant.

This is a made up story to amuse young minds that's the way it comes off.

Well how about we start with the feathered T rex comment?

We have an article on our website totally debunking that by an evolutionist!

The original National Geographic article 'Feathers for T. Rex?'

attracted fierce criticism from some very prominent evolutionists because of its poor

science, provoking some evolutionists to use words like 'total hoax'.

Yes, the article even illustrated a baby T. rex with feathers, as well as putting feathers

on another theropod dinosaur, Deinonychus.

And all of that was based on a fossil illegally exported from the Liaoning Province in China,

tentatively named Archaeoraptor which was allegedly a 'feathered dinosaur'.

Yes and this Archaeoraptor it turns out it was a total hoax, a forgery which National

Geographic has admitted to.

You can look that up on the link here on the screen. You can see that information there.

So this article talking about how we can know why turtles evolved shells is using comparisons

to how we can know that T rex had feathers, which is based on a fraud!

Amazing that they call this stuff science, but let's face it, the average public doesn't

know all of that. Right.

That's why we talk about it I guess to just get people to realize this is not science. And you can read the whole article and all they do is make an assertion.

Oh, they evolved shells so they could escape from the harsh sun. One of the questions you want to ask when you read these articles and these new scientific

discoveries this kind of thing, is that the only possible explanation? Of course the answer is no, you can come up with many. Use your imagination. They do!

They use it all the time. Anyway, this is the last episode of season six. This is our 144th episode today. So we'll see you next season!

If you want to see some of the previous episodes go to Creation.com and watch them there on the media center. See you next year...

Bratislava to Ljubljana by Bus Travel Vlog - Duration: 9:33.

Well good morning good morning.

It is far too early for me.

I think it is maybe six.

Oh my gosh.

Yeah.

Six thirty.

We need to leave soon.

We really do.

So today is a travel day.

We're leaving Bratislava and going to Ljubljana via Vienna so we're going to be walking to

the bus terminal.

Um and before we go Sam is going to give you the world's fastest apartment tour.

Yes.

Because we didn't have time to film one.

So we'll start in the bedroom.

The 60 second apartment tour.

What do we have here?

We had a nice big bed.

That is it.

Nice spacious room.

Big bed.

Let's move on.

Haha.

That was fast.

Wow.

That was really fast.

This is the hallway.

This is a really big apartment.

So here is the bathroom.

Nice bathtub.

We actually used it a couple of times.

It is nice to have a bath.

Toilets in there on the side.

Toilet on the side.

Um moving to here we had a nice big living room.

This is where we hung out a lot.

Big couch.

Did lots of work.

And then if you come over to the kitchen you will see.

It was a nice modern kitchen.

Yeah, it was a nice spacious room.

It was a nice big apartment.

We really liked it.

That was my work desk.

And that concludes the apartment tour.

Time to go.

Yes.

So we've made it.

40 minutes early.

We've made it so now we're going to get some breakfast maybe.

Maybe.

We're still sort of waking up here.

Little groggy.

Yep.

Let's go see what they have.

So what did we find?

What did we find.

Sam got us Gatorade.

Yes.

Got to keep me hydrated.

Also we found a little bakery here.

And a sandwich.

Yep.

They had some nice looking sweets but I'm just not craving that.

Oh my gosh.

I'm not even that hungry but prosciutto.

Well, we can share it.

Mozzarella cheese.

Moza and tomato.

Mozza and cheese.

I didn't even catch that either.

Yeah, we were still in like half awake stage at the moment.

Once we get on the bus I'm going back to sleep.

Yeah, for sure.

I actually had another bad night of sleep.

I didn't go to bed until well past midnight so probably about 4 hours for me.

I will be sleeping a lot on this trip.

How is the sandwich?

Good.

Hello!

I'm sort of waking up a little bit now.

Yeah?

Joining the land of the living.

Time to say fare thee well to Bratislava.

What did you think?

You know what?

I really connected with this place.

Like we were here for a week.

Yes.

We were actually doing a lot of work.

Like we were inside a lot but I also got to explore as well.

Uh huh.

And like just by staying longer I was able to like go to a hockey game.

Like that was an amazing experience.

That was a real highlight for Sam.

Oh yeah.

And the longer the longer I stayed in the city the more I kind of like appreciated it.

It is just such a liveable city.

Like I was starting to go jogging along the Danube every morning and I'd often go out

and watch the sunset.

I just had a lot of magic moments here.

I feel like this is a city I could actually live someday.

Well, I don't think that is going to happen but.

We don't have any plans to move here anytime soon but I'm just saying I could totally live

here.

Okay.

In terms of visiting a lot of people just come on a day trip from Vienna or they're

arriving on a riverboat cruise and yeah you could cover a lot of the main attractions

in a day but I feel it is definitely more of a weekend type of destination.

If you can come for 2 or 3 days.

I would agree.

You can really explore more and one of our favorite things was going to that castle.

Oh, Devin.

Yeah.

Devin Castle.

Yeah.

That was cool.

It was like a whole different world.

Like that small little town of Devin was so cute out there.

And had we been rushed we may not have we may have decided just to stick to the city

center.

Yeah.

That was actually our favorite experience.

So yeah, overall excellent visit.

Thumbs up.

Overall, very good oh and we found we were just eating at some cool places.

What was that burger place called that we went to?

Be About.

Be About.

Yeah, so we just found a lot of places that we liked.

We were eating Vietnamese, we were eating local.

It was just a really good time.

We just had a really good time here.

A little bit sad to be leaving to be honest.

Look it is PolskiBus.

We had some really good rides with you in Poland.

Update.

Burr.

We made it to Vienna.

It is freezing cold in comparison to when we were here a week ago.

It is even colder here than in Bratislava isn't it?

Seriously this morning.

We have a one wait time but our bus should be coming soon and we will continue on to

Ljubljana.

What is in your hand?

Got some juice.

Apple juice.

Picked up a few snacks that are in my backpack.

Yeah.

So we'll munch away once we're on the bus warm and toasty.

(Trotting sounds)

Snack.

We're on a bus.

Finally.

Continuing the journey.

What did you get?

These are pretty good for wafer cookies.

These are like the when we were in Vienna we saw them all over the place.

These are Manner Wien Napolitaner.

Wien.

Wien.

Neopolitaner.

And?

And we got pretzels.

Where are the pretzels?

You stole them.

Stop filming me.

Haha.

Update.

We have arrived a little bit behind schedule and we had no lunch stops.

So we are starving.

At the hangry stage.

Yes.

So we're just going to grab some food around the station and that is that.

That is that.

Food.

Food.

Food has arrived.

OMG.

It was one of those days where we were like we're going to eat at the first place we find.

Haha.

Not the healthiest.

Like we've got coke bottles.

Yeah.

Coke, pizza and burek.

Pizza slices and burek.

And yeah it is not Slovenian food but it is the first food we found.

We'll get into the local cuisine at some point but.

In the meantime.

Let's get something in our bellies.

Mmm.

In the meantime this is wonderful.

I'm so hungry.

Anything would be good at this point right?

This is how we feel after a day of riding buses.

Urgh.

We are both super greasy and tired oh my gosh.

I need a shower.

But where did we leave off?

What is the last thing we did on this video.

I think we speaking of greasy we were eating greasy slices of pizza.

That is probably why we feel greasy.

Oh my gosh.

Okay.

Some extra layers of grease added on.

So yeah, from there we walked to our AirBNB.

It was a 20 minute walk.

Yep.

And we checked in, then we went and did some groceries.

I passed out.

Sam had a huge nap.

I skyped with my parents because it is Canadian Thanksgiving.

And yeah, we are just tired.

Honestly, I don't even know why we're tired because I slept on that bus ride so much.

Like I slept 80% of the time.

And yeah, we shouldn't be as tired as we are but anyways we are and uh but we're really

excited to be here.

First time in Slovenia.

First time in Ljubljana.

Yes.

And so we're going to be exploring the city.

We also really want to do a day trip to Bled.

Yes.

Lake Bled.

Yes.

So we have a lot that we're going to do while we're here and we just need to get some rest.

So we will say good bye now.

Tata.

Tata.

And goodnight.

create personal integrity | Build Self esteem through honesty | Self Esteem series #3 - Duration: 6:28.

In this video you are going to learn how to create personal integrity

Welcome to king-size passion I am Mike Kern and I'm helping you to fill your life with passion in this video

We are going to talk about personal integrity

It is the third episode of our self-esteem series enjoy it

What does personal integrity mean personal integrity means when your words and your actions?

Are congruent when you are saying that you're doing something, and then you're not going to do it you're incongruent

You're basically lying to yourself

I'll give you some examples of incongruent you are saying you want to work out in the evening

But in the last minute you quit you're promising a friend that you will help him to move in a new flat

And then you come up with an excuse that you don't have time don't telling the person who bothers you that he or she should

Stop doing it pretending to agree with someone when you actually don't being nice to people you don't even like

Laughing at jokes which you don't find funny don't taking

Responsibility when you're hurting someone pretending that you are happy when you're actually sad or angry

don't admitting when someone help you and you need it to help and

Finally don't admitting when you made a mistake you have

certain beliefs and values in your life

And when you don't live up to them you're incongruent

every time when you're doing something which is not aligned to your values use or to your beliefs you decrease your

personal integrity and your self-esteem

Suffers only when you're really aware which values and which beliefs

Your actions have to follow, then you can really be honest to yourself and when you're not honest with you

values and with your beliefs. You are telling yourself that you're no trustworthy source only when you start recognizing

that you're acting from a low level of self integrity you can change the behavior and

Align your actions with your words what I want to mention here

no matter

Which mistake you are doing don't feel guilt for it when you let guilt come over you when you put yourself down

Because you do something you are hindering yourself to build self-esteem

You have to admit that it was a mistake

And if other people are involved then apologize and do everything to make it good

But don't put yourself down because you made default creating personal integrity is no easy practice

Firstly you have to become aware of what your values are what your beliefs are

But you figure out its right for you, and what is wrong for you

Sometimes it's easier to follow those values sometimes

It's much harder to follow those values

secondly it takes balls to stand up for yourself and showing others that you have certain values and that you honor and

Respect yourself when a person does something which bothers you people with low

Self-esteem will backbite behind their backs and talk trash about them

But when you want to create personal integrity

You have to talk to the person and tell her right in the face that this was not okay often people will admire

That and respect you for being so honest

Stated in a friendly way

And it will be received well another common issue with creating personal integrity is

To tell your parents that you want to follow your passion and don't want to go the way they want you to go

Maybe they want you to do a certain job

Maybe they want you to go to a certain university, which they have planned for you

But your values and your needs pull you in another direction

You just want to live a completely different life and telling them that you want to do that. It's really difficult

You're fearing that they wouldn't love you anymore you would fe ar that

They would kick you out of the house, but when you're going to do what your parents want you to do

You are neglecting your and your needs, and you're hurting your

Personal integrity and your self-esteem you have to state your values and you have to state your needs

Otherwise you won't be honest to yourself and besides of that you can't live a great life when you don't live up to those values

Most of the times the reaction of your parents won't be as bad as you think they will still love you

And they won't kick you out of the house, maybe there will be pissed for a good period of time

But it will still love you

I hope you can see now that it is very

important to live with personal integrity and to be honest to others even when you're lying to someone and

He or she would never find out that you lied

You will know that you lied

And you are hurting yourself with it because you know you lied and again you telling yourself

You know trustworthy source always be honest always tell the truth

always be congruent at this point

I have to admit something I did wrong things to people - I am no perfect person

I hurt people I made mistake mistakes

And I haven't always admitted to them and if people see this who did I wrong?

I'm really sorry that I made faults now. I can see that it was wrong so I hope you enjoyed the video

I hope you got a few tips how you can create more personal integrity

and how you can be more honest to yourself and to others if you're new and

You like this video give it a thumb up and don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss my next videos

Thank you that you're a part of this community. I see you in the next episode. I wish you a great day. Goodbye

Àngels Bassas and Mireia García talk about ESART Campus Barcelona - Duration: 2:48.

Interview

Àngels Bassas. Actress, writer and teacher at ESART. The unit I teach focuses on an exploration of acting skills.

Through it we establish a basis for what acting should constitute.

And I always really like telling students that they will create their own method.

I always establish that they are working from the idea of play and, especially, from the truth.

I really like acting...

one of the key things is to learn to be very sincere, a real actor, an honest actor, a truthful actor...

an actor who is human.

I came to know of ESART because I had a friend who was studying here who recommended it to me

and then I started looking and researching on the web.

I really liked it and also the teachers

and in sharing it with my parents we noted that the studies could lead to a British university degree

from Bath Spa University.

They really liked the fact that the programme offered a formal qualification.

I would describe my time at ESART as a magical and singular experience

that has allowed me to reveal just how diverse I really am.

ESART as an institution, and especially through the teaching staff, strives to establish a permanent contact

with what will be the future careers for our students, and that I think is very important.

We not only teach and transmit knowledge, but knowledge that they can put into practice.

And in this sense I think finding the balance is essential.

I think that what ESART gives in combining the three programmes of dance, music and theatre is

that you get to know people from three different areas, allowing you to create new things together when you're here.

It's like you already have contacts to start to fend for yourself and create your own things.

My goal would be to devote myself to what I always wanted - to be an actress

and to give the best of me in public, to express

and to connect with others as other actors have connected with me.

The advice I would give to my students is that the work is never finished.

The job of learning never ends, and that it does not end when you finish school.

I think the actor must have the capacity to be constantly redeveloping and to be constantly learning.

We must be like children, constantly learning.

And this does not end when you finish your formal studies in acting.

You must carry on your education, your personal research on life and of being human

continuously for life, until the end.

In this respect this is a great job and a wonderful profession.

I also like the multidisciplinary aspect that positions us

Tata.

Tata.
