Here we go.
Gate runners, look at that!
Train horn.
Crossing gate bells.
We got gate runners over here.
train horn
She is coming at a snail's pace.
yeah.
There she is.
train horn.

Mercedes AMG GLS 63. A Review and a Test-Drive by LOUD SOUND - Duration: 25:57.
Look! There are girls peeing. They were probably gonna wee a bit,
but then we came, and off they go embarrassed now.
Oh my damn! There are cameras all over our car!
You, ladies, got on film, above all.
Girls, you're YouTube stars now.
Hi, everyone! Loud Sound here. We're having an unusual review today.
Let me answer the question you all must be playing in your heads right now.
Yes, we are going to kick it up with this car, and we're gonna go big on it.
We will test each and every cool feature and option this baby has.
So be cool. I'm not one of those bloggers who dance around a car for half an hour
and vomit facts they'd literally read up on Wiipedia, like, 20 minutes prior.
I was given this car for two days. And those two days, I utilized wisely.
I mean, this is an AMG with a 5.5 L engine, two turbines, with amazing music and amazing interior.
What's unique about this review is that it's a sae bet to say that noone on Russian YouTube share,
and, I think, not worldwide, either, has done a decent review on this car.
The previous version, GL AMG 63, was reviewed by Erik Davidych. I wouldn't call it a review, tho.
They never kicked it down and barely told anything about the car.
So, as with all Davidych reviewws, you got the info not about the car but about Erik's viewpoint.
About how he ovrcomes his complexes etc.
Okay, I having trolled Erik a pinch, I think we have clearance to start the review.
This is one restyled GL. GL has had two generations.
No dramatic changes occurred. The lighting was changed to nicer, the splasher, the hood, too, etc.
But the AMG edition is completely different from a reglar GLS. It has a totally different braking system, suspension,
the gearbox, the engine, the exhaust system - all of it is different, all of it are AMG specials.
The engine here, like all AMG engines, is assembled by hand.
The signature of whoever assembled it is on the engine.
The outlook of the car is rather debatable. Many of you could find what to mock.
Especially after designs like those of X6, GLE, Range Rover etc.
All in all, there is nothing special about this car's looks.
Let's maybe wrap up with the boring part and get going. And after that, I'll tell you about the car and its audio.
The boring part is the trunk.
This is something I have to show. But you can fit nothing in there 'cuz there's no trunk until you push this button.
It makes the rear seat backs fold automatically.
This thing can be bent over to the front, and we get a car for 5 people with a huge trunk.
And the seat backs go back up as nice and pretty as they did fold.
The third row of seats can accomodate two people.
We tested it yesterday. Unfortunately, no cam was at hand
We had a 6'4" tall guy sit in there. I wouldn't say he was comfortable but he could move in there.
Here, like other bloggers, I need to act fascinated with the amazing interior and stuff.
The grills of the audio will be covered later.
But I bet you couldn't care less about it 'cuz all you want now it for me to start it.
If we start it now, we'll miss out on the nice sound you can hear when you start the car cold.
The sound it exerts when started cold and warming up over time reminds the sound of a beast awakened.
And it goes lower right away.
It's like it calms down, lik it says, 'That's it, guys. I'm ready'.
Now let's take a ride in the 'Comfort' mode.
In this mode, the clearance is slightly higher.
The car is not in the -1st position but in the standard, the 0 one.
There are 3 positions all in all, there's -1, 0 and +1.
The exhaust system works quieter,
and, for sure, the engine and the gearbox are set for lower RPMage, without any rough kick-ups.
Well, this is nothing special. Kidding. It's really cool already.
You could get the wow already, and people new to it go, like, 'Wow, that sound!Wow, that dynamics! Wow, that all'
But this is, well, a demo.
When we turn on Sport +, it's like the car wants wants it and gots, like, 'Don't be a dumbo, kick it down!'
And so you kick.
When you switch the gear, there's this unreal, this amazing explosion going into the pipes,
and when you gear down, too.
The sound is divine. You could just go the whole day only listening to the exhaust sound.
Check out this awesome crosswalk. To let people cross the road, you have to stop in the middle of a crossroad.
[G]: This is Russia
Yeah. Okay, you ready there? Stabilize the stabilizer.
[G]: On it.
50... 100... and... a bus.
I could say we're safe 'cuz the braking is great here. But actually --
I don't want to say bad things about the braking here. It's not that it's bad but it's not the level this engine demands.
When you brake, you feel the weight. And you can feel the braking is prone to overheating.
So yesterday, when we were riding the highway I was very careful with it.
It does nto give you the super-confidence like everything else in this car.
The control here is fantastic for a giant like this.
You can't even tell you're driving a SUV.
I feel like I'm driving some E-class.
Yeah, about the drift. There was a ton of jokes about it. Bu, come on, it's stupid drifting with a SUV.
But! We have a button that turns the stabilization off.
Let me clear it up to trolls. This is no drifting. I mean, I can feel the Japanese drift fans rise.
We're trying to do a very stupid thing here. We're trying to make a huge and extremely heavy SUV to spin out.
Many people have asked me - and you, Georgiy, did, too, I think. They ask, 'Aren't you scared to get killed?'
My answer is, 'Fck yeah, I'm scared!'
But in a spin out, this car, even with the stabilization off, holds, well, how do I put it, rather steady.
Here comes the spin out.
If the rear axle starts overrunning the front one, you slightly turn your steering wheel,
and the car goes straight to the trajectory you need. It's like plating a PlayStation.
It's simply... Simple. Simply simple, yeah.
I can't even find words to put this into.
And we're drifting with a SUV. This is a small but stil an angle we're driving at now.
The stabilisation is killed here, right?
Did you catch that guy on the road on tape? Look at those sunglasses, full of sorrow.
He was, like, 'Man, how do you drive that thing side to front?' I could read it in his sunglasses!
Can you imagine doing that on a Touareg?
For sure, there is no way to go full swing with the car within a city.
It feels like you are placed within some sort of a framework.
That's why we hit a highway. And let's now check out the automatic cruise control. It's amazing.
There is a car in front of us. We let it drive away for a demanded distance. Turn the CC handle
The wheel here goes green.
And now it's switched completely to autopilot.
Right now, the car is suposed to steer and turn automatically, including accelerationg and braking
So if the car starts increasing the distance, our car here will catch up with it,
and if that car stops, we will stop completely, too.
Now it's demanding I put my hands on the steering wheel.
If you don't help it, don't steer a bit, the car thinks you're distracted or asleep so it demands hands on the wheel.
So you still need to steer a bit. But in general, the car does the main steering.
If you don't do that, the car will switch on the emergency stop signal and pull up to the side
as it will think you're asleep or stuck scrolling your Instagram feed.
The future is here, guys. The car is steering on its own, I don't touch the steering wheel or the pedals
And if not for this hands on the whee thing, you could've leaned back, take all your extremities off stuff, and have a blast.
What impresses even more is the dynamics. At the moment, we're in Sport. Let's switch to Sport +
The car started singing louder.
It's almost like its paranoid about answering the pedal.
You push it a pinch harder, and it pulls rapidly forward.
Yeah. Well, in a bit, we will show you accelerate 0-100. At the moment, we're going 100 km/h.
Show the speedometer.
[G]: But it doesn't feel like it at all.
Yeah, totally. I don't know what they did when they designed it but I've never driven a SUV like this.
Usually, the effect is the opposite. You sit higher so you feel the speed more acutely.
The lower you sit, the weaker your sence of speed is, so to say.
In this car, that doesn't work.
Okay, 100 km/h (62 mph)
...to 150 km/h (93 mph)
[RIP Lil Mosquitto :( ]
200 km/h (125 mph)
230 km/h (143 mph)
Let's not go more than this. And not because I freaked out. Not even 'cuz Gerogiy freaked out.
But because we don't know ehat's up with the cam we have installed on the top. Gotta check the signal.
[G]: We're good. The camera is up and running.
Yeah. So at the moment, we're going at 170 km/h (105 mph)
and this is awesome. This is the definition of cool.
I'm not even touching the wheel. And not I hint I might feel uncomfortable.
A couple of bumps are coming now -- Amazing! Perfect!
These insects are frustrating, tho. A bunch of their corpses appeared on the windscreen over a sec.
A moment ago, we had a perfectly clean windscreen.
And everybody is driving slowly around you. Absolutely no worry about driving this fast.
I mean, usually, when you speed up this much, you somehow feel nervous, anxious.
None of that here.
The only thing is, the engine is working kinda loud right now. We can switch to Sport or Comfort.
And now it feels like we are in some sort of a business class sedan.
It's pretty quiet here, barely any noise or wind you can hear.
Well, the proofing here is serious business.
The car constantly signals me by vibrating if I drive over the line on the road,
and it's supposed to not let me drive into the sidewalk. I don't know how it does it. Let's check it now.
But it is supposed to panic somehow. Yeah, and here it brings me back to my line.
See? I'm turning the wheel slightly to the right...
...and here it brought me back in.
So you won't fly off to the sidewalk when you get caught up in your thoughts or fall asleep.
The car detects the danger and prevents it.
The audio we will review a bit later, once we're back in Rostov.
Aleksey with CeramikPro adn his team were kind enough to let us use their venue.
It is a well-lit place. We will shoot the interior there, and I will tell you about the functions.
And for now, we will switch to the manual mode. there are two manual modes here.
The first one switches on via the button on the steering wheel (up or down).
The second one turns on by this button which sends the car completely manual.
It won't change the gear even if you overdo it with the RPMage or something else. The car stays the same place.
Meaning this mode is 100% manual, 100% control is on you.
Let's start with the first mode.
At the moment, he fifth gear is on.
Now, it's almost the fourth.
Fifth.
The engine braking is perfect here.
It is not like in some cars when you kick down the gear, the car starts roaring, and the nothign really happens.
Here, the engine helps brake, and it feels great as hell.
[Wiped the mosquitto cemetery off the cam]
In order to render the sound of the engine and the exhaust as correctly as possible,
we are switching to manual control right now.
0 km/h. Let's let a couple of cars outrun us.
Okay, first...
I can't do it.
Gotta get used to this.
We caught up with all those cars, and e almost reached 200 km/h (125 mph)
Whenever I would watch reviews by Erik Davidych, I was wondering, when you drive a really cool hi-end car,
do you really ahve this urge to give everyone around you the finger, prove something. You, know, these 'Hit me, and I'll sue you down to your last penny'.
I don't feel any of it. I guess it's not about the car it's all about the person sitting inside that car.
What I feel now is comfort, safety and calmness.
What is happening there? Oh, look! They are peeing! Are you filming this?
They were probably gonna wee down a bit, but then we came, and off they go embarrassed now.
Oh my damn! There are cameras all over our car!
You, ladies, got on film, above all. Girls, you're YouTube stars now.
Did they pee already or were they just going to? Poor things, they didn't get a chance.
We scared them off.
In the evening, we dropped by - not Mercedes dealership, as you might think - but CeramicPro detailing center.
We just need to get our engine washed and to make some footage in a nicely illuminated place.
The owner Aleksey was kind wnough to let us come here. He's unlikely to buy a Mercedes, and he doesn't want to get on tape,
but he does want CeramicPro to be mentioned in our review today.
This is a very nice detailing center, not far from out office, btw. Oh, Misha is not afraid of the cam. You can show him.
This is the person who worked on the Hummer. Everything that's been changed about the Hummer was done by Misha here.
Okay, now I have to tell you about the cool stuff you can see inside the car,
show you the interior, and, for sure, since we re a car audio channel, we'll have to see the system here.
Let's start with the latter.
The audio here is Bang and Olufson's top, and they market it as hi-end.
However the looks are imecable. The grills are aluminum, with laser engraving. They are true artwork.
That all is beside these mind-blowing tweeters. They look unusual, they look rich and nice, anf they're illuminated.
And with these tweeters, Bang and Olufsin's trademark technology 'Acoustic Lense' was used.
The tweeter plays up, and once the sound hits the acousric lense, it gets scattered to a 180° angle.
I wouldn't be lying if I said this was the best stock system I've ever heard.
But for sure it's not as good as custom ones are.
But, like, 99% of listeners will be satisfied by it.
I won't be speaking too much about the interior. There are both pros and cons.
Among the cons, the central console is not renewed yet.
It was passed down by the GL generation.
However the wheel, the dash panel, the screen here and some other elements are new here.
And it looks so cool.
This TV. I was, actually, going to mock it but I've kinda changed my mind about it after I've used it.
But there's still a lot to mock. The design is pretty arguable, and many people notice that.
Some say it looks as if they've put an iPad in there, some say the dashcam is too big.
However they changed this lining. It no more looks like cheap made-in-China plastic. It's narrower and richer.
The screen is larger here. Works really nicely. The one for C lags, tho. But we'll cover it in the C-class review.
This one implies no discomfort. Quicker response, and the quality is really nice - resolution, color rendition.
The seat are adjusmed and controlled completely from the carputer here.
We can regulate the side support for the seats making it harder or weaker.
We can regulate the low of the back support. And for that, we even have a touch controller.
So we can regulate it more smoothly.
Heer, we regulate the roll's position and protrusion.
There's also the seat pillow controller which I couldn't but wonder
Because it is not separated from the eat.
It's just that in the higher BMW complectations, that pillow is protruded with an electric or a mechanical drive,
and it is separated from the seat. Here, on the other hand, it is a part of the seat, and the seat just gets longer.
There are 10 positions for your choice, and it's amazing. And it looks nice, too.
Plus, there's no depression in between where all the trash gets stuck.
You can also enter Dynamic Select from here.
What does it do? There are poitions 'Comfort', 'Sport' and 'Sport +'. And, well, for winter. It's called 'Slippery'.
And there's individual. We can set it for our own taste. We can set the suspension roughness, engine patterns,
gearbox patterns, too. Unfortunately, you can't set the steering wheel.
In my C-class, you can set the steering wheel informational responce.
What I didn't like is that Mercedes still struggles with a good voice assistant. It's in English only.
Help!
[VA]: Please, repeat.
I don't know. Maybe you can select a language but it's all in Russian. So I don't even wanna get there with it.
I still don't like the menu here. The BMW menu is more ergonomic, more obvious, more convenient.
In this one all the menus and submenus are poorly actualized.
It is a lot easier to navigate through a huge number of options if they are presented in a list arrangement.
You choose from the list to see a different list -- Well, in this case, you get used to it.
The struggle only lasts in the very beginning until you get used to it. And well, there's nothing so scary about it.
On pushing the (*) you open the 'Favorites' menu. You can add anything you want to get quick access to.
This is how they get their points back. It's actually a great idea. You can add whatever you use the most here.
And then, it saves you time. I, for one, added the Camera 360° here over my two day's use.
This is a supercool thing.
When you're driving forward, and you can't see if you're cleared to pass thru somewhere, or you can't see bumps or potholes,
The 360° View shows you the complete view from the car's roof.
And everything around you is reflected here not like it is on the parking cam but as a live feed.
I hope you liked the review.
Now I need to spare a couple of words of conclusion but the guys are busy looking for good shots here.
So I will film myself using this exptremely costly cameraware.
It was a great pleasure filming this Mercedes, a great pleasure to have a ride in it. Hugethanks to Klyuch-Avto.
To Stas personally, and to Yevgeniy Sergeyevich, his boss, for providing us with this nice car
I hope this is not the last car they give me for a ride. I would really love to get my hands on... On everything, actually.
I could make a whole list of it. And you, too, please, write which cars you'd like to see.
To draw a conclusion. What is this car and who it is for? Obviously, it's costs a fortune and there's a limited market for it.
But I wouldn't tie it to a certain age group. This is trully a car for those who want a motorbike, a van, a SUV and a Mercedes in one piece.
And for those, of course, who can afford one.
Aleksey also was of great help for us. But for some reason, he is unwilling to get in the frame.
You don't want to? Well, there will be links in the description. Please, check them out, too.
The guys kindly provided us with premises, and made the car look perfectly well again.
Thanks to them so much! And now that you've seen the review, be lambs and subscribe to Aleksey's Instagram.
He actually posts some pretty amazing cars there.
And for the guys from Mad Chaos, thanks, too. This is not the last review we do together.
I hope, the quality of our reviews will keep growing over time.
If you liked the review, don't forget to -- well, you now the drill. And don't forget to provide your feedback in the comments.
But I'd like to ask you to mind your manners. Otherwise, there's a fat chance you're getting banned.
That's all. This was LOUD SOUND.
Bye, everyone. Live LOUD.
Why does this keep happening to us? We are shooting a car audio review, and there's drifting in the frame.
This is gonna be good now. Like, I'm here reviewing a Mercedes GLS AMG, and there's a BMW on the footage.
Well, thanks for screwing up our footage! Say hello to your ass!
And in our case, we have a top-version of GLS 63 with a bi-turbo en-- Fck. I mentioned that already.
