Devon coast: You'd run a marathon to be there

ROCK STARS: The amazing scenery on coast near Woolacombe.

My teeth were gritted and both my legs were aching. This was supposed to be fun! Then I saw the view. Woolacombe beach, on the north coast of Devon, is stunning even at the worst of times.

And from up on the headland as you turn south towards Croyde you can view the full length of golden sand in all its glory.

I was running the super-tough North Devon Half Marathon, which is a great way of seeing one of the countrys most beautiful coastlines.

From the surfers paradise at Croyde beach, we dodged the stranded jellyfish before setting off on another thigh-burning climb up the headland to Saunton Sands at the south end of the peninsula.

Then - just as you think your legs cant take it anymore - you head on the relatively easy inland trek back to the finish line at Woolacombe.

Doing the full marathon incorporates an even tougher circuit around the cliffs of Mortehoe to Ilfracombe and back, but the half was more than enough for me! The race raises thousands for the North Devon Hospice and is sponsored by the brilliant Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks.

My 13.1-mile run marked the start of a great week in a caravan at Twitchen House, one of the companys four holiday parks around Woolacombe.

Staying here meant we got to use the facilities at all of the resorts and we made the most of the 10-pin bowling, cinema, spa, indoor pools and pottery class when it was wet, and the outdoor pool and splash park when it was dry.

I enjoyed a relaxing nine holes of golf at the nearby Easewell Farm holiday park, which has beautiful sea views.

My two-year-old son Freddie made it clear that the kids disco - starring park mascots Billy and Betty Beachball - was a must-attend every night.

And we didnt need much convincing to stay for the bingo, although getting within one number of a full house on two occasions was a bit frustrating!. The dramatic coast line of Devon looks stunning even after a marathon.

What makes staying in north Devon so special is the scenery, and Woolacombe is consistently voted Britains best beach on TripAdvisor.

Splashing through the surf during an evening stroll, I was struck by how peaceful it was to breathe in the sea air while cooling my feet.

There are some gorgeous walks along the clifftops, not all of them ideal for young children, but Baggy Point near Croyde was just about achievable with a toddler on my shoulders.

The challenging trek along the rugged track provided the perfect warmup for a Devon cream tea from the National Trust cafe at the bottom - remember its cream before jam in these parts!.

Devon was great fun for Steve and family after he completed the North Devon Half Marathon.

The coastal village of Lee, just west of Ilfracombe, is another gem. A bit quieter than the more well-known spots, we had an amazing fish platter from a place near the beach called Smugglers Cottage.

With smoked salmon, prawns, chutney and homemade bread, we really felt like we were getting a genuine taste of local food.

The rocks on the bay create a much gentler sea making it ideal for little ones to go paddling without fear of being soaked through by the giant surfing waves which typify the coast.

There are loads of things to do away from the beach too, especially for families. We managed to squeeze in visits to the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle, The Big Sheep and Exmoor Zoo.

All of them have rides, animals and - in the case of the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - pretty realistic stegosauruses and triceratops.

A special mention should also go to the sheep racing at The Big Sheep and the infamous beast at Exmoor Zoo (a black panther), both of which were huge hits with our little boy.

Come to Kenya: Best things to do in Masai Mara and Samburu

WILD SIDE: Kenya is full of thrilling adventures.

Impala scattered as the dust rose from our wheels and giraffes strolled past the plane windows as white butterflies danced around their heads. Id been in Kenya just a few short hours and already I felt wild with excitement.

After touching down in Nairobi I fast-tracked to the plains by booking a SafariLink jet to Samburu Game Reserve. Tucked in the 12-seater plane Id already glimpsed the last remaining white rhinos on Earth and a giant heard of elephants from above.

LUXURY: Mara Intrepids and Samburu Intrepids offer glamping tents complete with four poster.

And after just an hour I touched down in Samburu. The first thing that struck me about the dream-like destination was how unexpectedly green it was – it was more jungle than barren desert.

Giraffes heads poked out from huge lush green trees and tropical vines engulfed the giant trunks below. As I arrived at my luxury tented camp at Samburu Intrepids I was shown to my room by the friendly staff.

The resort offers glamping at its most luxurious and each room has a four-poster bed and private balcony – perfect for watching cheeky Vervet monkeys.

RARE: On my first day at Samburu Game Reserve we spotted an elusive leopard with her cub. The Intrepids camps work on a full-board basis which encompasses three meals a day and all game drives.

And after a hearty lunch, I was met by guide Dom who escorted me to the khaki jeep before setting out on our first safari (which means journey is Swahili).

Winding through the green landscape my heart raced as a huge heard of elephants stomped past just a few feet from our open-top vehicle.

Scoping their trunks into the mud, they catapulted big clumps of wet dirt onto their giant wrinkled backs as dusty baby elephants ran around their ankles.

As we arrived on the lush banks of the great Uaso Nyiro River I felt an overwhelming sense of calm as I sat on top of the truck watching three elegant giraffes enjoy a lunch-time drink.

LOCAL CULTURE: Tourists can visited Samburu tribes to leaner more about village life ].

WILD SIDE: Masai Mara is the perfect place to spot the big five.

But it was the next sighting that really took my breath away. As we made our way down a dusty dirt road a small cat appeared from the bushes and sat smack bang in the middle of the road.

As we got closer I could see it was a baby leopard cub, its bright gleaming eyes shone from its beautifully fluffy coat.

Then above us on an overhanging rock the mother appeared silhouetted against the setting sun – it was the perfect end to my first day in Kenya.

The Samburu camp offers two daily safaris at 6am and 3.30pm and you can be woken up with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, which really helps if youre not a morning person.

Guides will also pack you a breakfast picnic if you prefer to stay out longer and eat in the bush. And there is a whole host of other exciting activities aside form the safaris.

While I was there I also had the pleasure of visiting a local Samburu tribe. Tourists are invited in at a cost of $40 (£27) and the money goes towards schools and womens craft projects, which helps bring money into the community.

BEAUTIFUL: A bull elephant silhouetted against the setting sun in the Mara. Met by a group of colourfully adorned women I was scooped up and covered in tribal jewels before they sung me a local welcome song.

The chief took me round and showed me how they make their small cow-dung houses, how they cook food and keep predators away from their animals using barbed plants.

Samburu is less touristy and more authentic than a lot of the other reserves and it was refreshing seeing an area so unspoilt by humans. But after three adventure-filled days I was ready to see what else the country had to offer.

I hopped aboard my next plane, which departs from a small strip close to the resort, and just 45 minutes later arrived in the Masai Mara.

NATURE: Each camp provides multiple daily safaris and guests can eat their breakfast in the.

The 1,510 kms expanse is known as one of the best safari parks in the world and has been made even more famous by BBCs Big Cat Diaries.

Along a shady path full of multicoloured butterflies my new tented abode at Mara Intrepids, sat right at the waters edge. Met by silver-standard driver James Parmuala, I raced off into the plains again for more thrilling wildlife encounters.

The impressively educated nature enthusiast showed off his off-roading skills as we shot through fast-flowing rivers and muddy craters, aiming for a particular spot on the hill.

There I saw a family of cheetahs – a mum and three cubs – viscously ripping apart a kill. I was so close I could hear the bones cracking as the babies ripped the limbs of the bloodied animal.

VICIOUS: We watched a cheetah and her cubs rip apart a kill. After the drama of cheetah feast, James took me to a tranquil spot by a lake where a huge male lion was napping in the sun.

Doing my best David Attenborough impression I waited, camera ready, to capture the moment he woke. Eventually he lifted his huge head from the tall grass, shook his bushy mane and yawned, revealing his giant yellow-stained teeth – stunning.

An as-yet-unnamed baby elephant in Singapores Night Safari park has been learning to walk, eat and take baths, as an adorable new video shows.

Every day in the park was unique and exhilarating in its own way but one of the best ventures was a hot air balloon ride at sunrise.

Its not a cheap activity, but watching the orange streaks of sunshine rise above the plains while gliding through the air is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And to top it off you get a huge champagne breakfast in the bush after.

The resort also offers guests use of the spa, fishing trips, bush dinners and breakfast and the sundowner, which is evening cocktails under the iconic Acacia trees.

WONDERS: Malta's highest clifftop is a real edge of the world experience. There's a sheer 250-metre drop from the Dingli Cliffs into the Med below as well as panoramic views and glimpses of the uninhabited Filfl a islet, three miles out.

Looking inland, majestic Verdala Palace dominates the landscape of small terraced fields, and, as we pick up speed, we pass the Boschetto Gardens, which are dotted with fruit trees, and the Laferla Cross, a towering religious landmark.

The 90-minute jaunt with Malta Segway Tours also takes in the mysterious cart ruts, a series of stone tracks at prehistoric site Misrah Ghar il-Kbir.

It was nicknamed Clapham Junction by one Englishman because it reminded him of the London station. It's still not known what the tracks were used for.

The Segway proved to be a thrilling way to see the Maltese scenery and although they look like they will topple over the minute you step on them, they're actually very sturdy machines which are easy to master.

Seventeen miles long, Malta is steeped in more than 7,000 years of history making it a hotspot for blockbuster films and big-budget TV series.

Action scenes in last year's movie epic Assassin's Creed were shot in the old quarter of the capital, Valletta.

And in Brad Pitt flick World War Z you can spot the city's Triton Fountain and Fort Saint Elmo on the harbour. Fans of fantasy series Game of Thrones will recognise countless landmarks around the island.

When Joffrey beheaded Ned Stark it was at Fort Manoel on the east coast.

BEAUTY: The capital Valletta. And St Dominic Convent in the Rabat region is where Eddard and Cersei went head-to-head in the first series.

The most famous spot seen on the show was The Azure Window on the nearby island of Gozo, which played host to Daenerys and Khal Drogo's wedding. Sadly this much-loved landmark is no more.

For thousands of years the 28-metre natural limestone arch towered over the sea, but it collapsed in a storm in March this year.

Getting to Gozo from the mainland takes 25 minutes by ferry and is well worth the effort if only to see the magnificent Cittadella Victoria. Gozo is a hotspot for diving and snorkelling because the water is so clear.

There are also interesting caves to explore including Billinghurst on the northern tip.

Back on Malta, the central fortified city of Mdina is a favourite for daytrippers. You can wander a labyrinth of streets filled with baroque architecture and enjoy spectacular views from the encircling battlements.

Directly east is Valletta, known as "the fortress city" because it is surrounded by defensive walls that are constantly being restored.

The SU29 boutique hotel, my base for the trip, is tucked away on Saint Ursula Street near the majestic Grand Harbour and St John's Co-Cathedral. Each of the rooms and suites has its own personality – mine was carpeted with artificial grass.

IMPOSING: Awesome Cittadella Victoria on the island of Gozo. I recommend dinner at the Trabuxu bistro on South Street. Even on a Tuesday night, it was so busy the waiter had to create extra table space in a corner.

The linguini nero di seppia – squid cooked in cuttlefish ink – is black, salty and melt-in-the-mouth delicious. For a tasty treat in the daytime sun head to the Naxxar region in the north of the island.

Palazzo Parisio, a former palace, offers traditional English afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, homebaked scones and Prosecco for £25.

Visitors also get access to the decadent rooms and gardens featuring an orange grove and exotic plants like jacaranda, oleander and more than 65 species of hibiscus.

From the moment you step into Pandora: World of Avatar you are immersed in a forest of quirky light-up plants with alien wildlife screeching all around. But most impressive is the floating mountain.

There are designated viewing spots at Jambo House and Kidani Village but I regularly saw zebra and giraffe side by side from my room's balcony, making Animal Kingdom Lodge a truly unique hotel experience.

Animal Kingdom is one of four parks in Disney World, all of which offer a huge range of rides and experiences.

Magic Kingdom is perfect for families with little ones because it is packed with tamer rides themed around classics including Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Toy Story.

And Magic Kingdom's new nighttime show Happily Ever After is another chance to relive some of the best-loved Disney films. Memorable moments from favourites including Aladdin and more recent releases Moana and Zootropolis are projected on to the 18-storey Cinderella Castle.

The soundtrack of famous songs was recorded with the help of a 75-piece orchestra and the result is brilliantly nostalgic.

Meanwhile, over in the Hollywood Studios park, there are plenty of big rides including Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

A great one for the whole family to enjoy together is the shooting game Toy Story Mania. The park also hosts the nightly Fantasmic show, which is packed with stunts, water effects and fire.

Disney World is constantly evolving but Pandora is the biggest and boldest change in years. Experiencing it in real life will only make fans even more excited for the film's sequel, due out in 2020.

So, why not perfect that?

The first thing I use

for making connections is LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is basically a Facebook

for professional people,

for connecting with your peers,

at the workplace.

By building your network on LinkedIn,

you build a portfolio

of people that you've worked with.

Whoever you're looking at for your next job,

they can come out and look

at your LinkedIn and say

"hey, he knows him."

Find a way to share your information quickly.

Instead of pulling out your phone

and having to get it from the address book,

taking a while,

go ahead and have a contact for yourself

ready in your phone.

I happen to have an iPhone.

I created a special contact for myself.

On it, list everything about yourself.

Put your URL in,

or your webpage for your LinkedIn.

Put your first name, last name,

where you work, your position,

and any other relevant information.

This is gonna help whoever you're talking to

know more about you and feel more comfortable.

And, watch out for Facebook and Instagram.

I love using those social networks

just as much as you do,

but understand that

if you're sharing all those fun pictures

from the club on Friday night.

and, your employer sees it,

it's not necessarily the best image

for your career.

Try making sure it's private.

Or, you just don't have any of them on your network.

And, in some severe cases,

you might even need to block them.

And, finally, ask questions.

Asking questions is one of the best ways

to learn and to connect with people.

Mutton Biryani With English Subtitle ( Eid Special ) | Cook With Fariha (2017) - Duration: 7:48.

Hello Friends

Today we are going to make Eid Special Mutton Biryani

For this, we are going to need

This is my homemade, you can buy from store if you don't have

Let's start

Start with preparing mutton stock

I am making in pressure cooker

Add mutton and 2 to 2-1/2 glass water

Coriander Seeds

And fennel seeds

We'll cook this for 15 minutes

You can adjust according to your cooker

After 15 minutes

It's done

Now we'll strain this.We don't need coriander seeds

And fennel seeds. only mutton

Now let's prepare gravy

Take another pan, add oil almost 1-1/2 cup

Add Whole spices

Black Cardamom, Green Cardamom

Star Anise

And Cashew Nut

And roast them

Once it changes color then add

Ginger & Garlic Paste

Fry it

And then strain Mutton

Use any strainer

So we'll get only mutton without Coriander & Fennel Seeds

Carefully add all mutton

And we'll strain reaming stock

Parch it

Add Garam Masala Powder

While parching

Add Curry leaves to enhance more taste

Then add Raisin

Red Crushed Chili

1 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder

Salt to Taste

I have added 1 Tablespoon

If required we'll add more

Because we've added salt in rice as well

And Biryani Masala. You can buy from store if you want!

If you don't have homemade

Once it's parch then add Green Chili

And Tomatoes

Mix it while adding

Then we'll add mutton stock

which we strain earlier

Add yogurt as well

Mix it well

I'll boil rice 70% for this

For chicken, I boil 90%

Biryani Rice. We'll cook this on steam for 5-10 Minutes

On the other hand

I'll add rice in boiling water

and added some salt

and soaked rice

Here our rice is boiling and

gravy is also getting ready

You can see, I have boiled 70%

Because our Gravy is little liquidy

Let's start layering now

I have added more than 1/2 rice in 1st layer

Then add lemon

Some food color and keep some for final layer

I am red and orange color mixed in water

Then add fried onion

Fresh Coriander & Mint Leaves

Use half and half we'll use in final layer

You can see gravy

Our rice will cook along with this

Make equal layer

And add remaining rice

Add remaining food color, coriander & mint leaves

We'll cook this on steam

5 minutes on medium heat

And 15 minutes on low heat

It's ready

It's completely cooked

Our Delicious Eid Special Biryani is ready

I have prepared before Eid

So you can try before or on Eid
