Chelsea confident of completing Danny Drinkwater deal despite Leicester's £40m asking price

CHELSEA remain hopeful of signing Danny Drinkwater despite Leicester slapping a £40 million price tag on the England international.

According to reports, Drinkwater is interested in a move to Stamford Bridge, but Leicester value the £27-year-old at £40 million – the same fee Chelsea received for Matic from Manchester United. Chelsea are set to offer £25m for Leicesters Danny Drinkwater.

Danny Drinkwater would replace Matic in the Chelsea set up. Contes men are reportedly poised to offer £25 million for Drinkwater, after having had an initial bid of £15 million rejected.

The Daily Mail claims that the improved offer will also be rejected but a bid closer to £30 million plus add-ons could be accepted. The 27-year-old signed a new contract last summer and has four years left on his contract.

Leicester do not want to lose one of their main men and will put up a fight to keep hold of him. Conte wants to bolster his squad, especially his midfield, with Tiemoue Bakayoko injured, Matic recently sold and Cesc Fabregas suspended.

Drinkwater is also a homegrown player, an important factor for clubs competing in the Champions League.

  Chelseas Alvaro Morata scores on his debut against Burnley. The Italian coach hopes that Drinkwater can be the man to fill that void.

Sunsport revealed that Chelsea have targeted Arsenal ace Alex Oxlade-chamberlain as a potential replacement. Conte has endured a difficult summer which was compounded by seeing his defending champions lose 3-2 at home to Burnley on the opening day of the season.

Meanwhile, the exiled striker, who was told he must report back to Chelsea after going AWOL, could now join Deportivo Coruna on loan ahead of a permanent return to Atletico Madrid.

Man finds secret cave hidden in Grand Canyon – you won't believe what's inside

What do you think of when you think of the Grand Canyon? Vast space? Rock formations? The Colorado River? The epic ending of Thelma & Louise? For those who have never visited the Grand Cannyon, it is all of that and more.

You can hike, kayak, raft and find hidden gems like this family did. While rafting down the Colorado River, youtube user KernalPanic and his family came across a cave hidden in the heart of the Grand Canyon.

In the description of the video the user wrote the only way to get to the cave is "by taking a raft down the Colorado River and climbing into the cave through a waterfall".

The footage is from the man's perspective using a camera strapped to a helmet and we can see he follows his family up a waterfall and in to the cave.

END OF THE ROAD: At the end of the passage you can find a gorgeous waterfall.

The footage, posted in 2013, shows the group of adults climbing ladders in order to get in to the cave. At the top of the waterfall they follow the stream's path which leads to the cave's entrance.

The cave, which is located between towering rock formations above, opens up into a long narrow passageway and at the end is another waterfall.

This feature is often missed by other people rafting down the Colorado River as it's hard to catch the small rock opening in the wall.

The large cave offers visitors refuge from the Arizonan sun and a chance to see waterfalls up close. We're adding "scaling a waterfall and entering a hidden cave" to our bucket lists ASAP.

Nickelodeon set to open underwater theme park on World's Best Island

UNDER THE SEA: Nickelodeon want to open an underwater ark on the Filipino island of Palawan. Childrens' TV giant Nickelodeon is planning to build an underwater theme park in the Philippines.

The amusement is going to be set in the stunning surroundings of Palawan – which has been voted the number one best island in the world by Travel + Leisure.

Inspired by iconic shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer, the park will be designed to give fans a chance to interact with the brand and the iconic characters they love according to a statement.

In a bid to create an immersive experience, visitors will enjoy stunning oceanic views underwater from restaurants and lounges located 20ft below sea level.

The park will be set within a cluster of 16 white sand islands as part of a 400 hectare (988 acre) undersea-themed development, which is expected to be completed by 2020.

Gerald Raines, senior vice president for global recreation for Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) which owns Nickelodeon, said: "We're thrilled to be partnering with Coral World Park (CWP) to open the world's first undersea attraction and Nickelodeon's first resort in Southeast Asia as we continue to expand on our theme-based attractions in Asia and across the world." But the theme park plans have been met with criticism due to the fact that Palawan is a UNESCO designated biosphere reserve and home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site marine park.

The magical area is considered one of the most beautiful on this planet, currently an untouched gem of natural beauty.

Vince Cinches, oceans campaigner with Greenpeace Southeast Asia, slated the idea over environmental concerns. He said: Its quite despicable for them to put up a theme park in paradise.

The project will basically destroy the marine ecosystem. The campaigner told AFP: Its sad and alarming because a theme park that big will not promote environmental protection by building those structures.

Why build a viewing deck when you have the whole paradise to enjoy? The favourite island holiday destinations of the super rich. But a statement from VIMN maintained that conservation would be at the forefront of the plans.

It read: "When completed, CWP will be the largest coral reef conservation program in Asia, with Asia's largest marine sanctuary for five key species – dolphins, sea cows, sea horses, turtles and whale sharks." We are taking very, very careful measures to ensure that the biodiversity is kept intact, Coral World Park chairman Paul Monozca told AFP.

Daily Star Online has contacted VIMN, CWP and the Palawan government for comment.

ADVENTURE: Scientists on a Norwegian research vessel got the surprise of their lives.

A shocking photo of a polar bear sticking his head through a boat window has gone viral on Reddit. The picture shows the giant furry predator poking its whole head and neck through a round porthole.

These giant animals could easily kill a human, but rather than run away screaming, the wildlife enthusiasts onboard decide to feed the bear a fillet of fish.

The picture, which was submitted two months ago, appeared alongside the caption: My uncle, who works on an Arctic research vessel, got an unexpected visitor today..

SURPRISET: A hungry polar bear stuck head through a boat window. Scientists on Lance, a Norwegian research vessel currently operating in the Arctic sea, were interrupted by the adult bear as the sat down for some afternoon coffee and waffles.

Obviously tempted in by the smell, the white bear stuck its head through the kitchen window in the hope of getting a snack. The astonishing photo was later posted on Reddit by user Johnny_love.

Lance is a research and expedition vessel thats mainly used by the Norwegian Polar Institute for research purposes. But the boat can also be hired for private cruises during the summer months, when travellers can take advantage of 24 hours of daylight.

The Norwegian boat docks at Tromsø, Norway, and usually tours the Arctic sea but it has also made several trips to the Antarctic.

ADVENTURE: Tourists can hire the boat for private cruises in the summer. Adventurous travellers can spot plenty of wildlife in the Arctic, including polar bears, reindeer and Arctic foxes. While Antarctic is home to penguins, whales and seals.

There's a battered black case patched up with brown tape, a polka-dot one and one wrapped in enough plastic to survive a fall from outer space. Next? An oversized plate of salmon and prawn nigiri.

In a stroke of comic genius, the baggage carousel has been turned into a giant sushi bar with colourful, plastic offerings to whet your appetite for what's on the menu here.

Kyushu might not shout the loudest of all the Japanese islands but it's full of surprises.

CULTURE: Alex Mead is pictured under the black sand.

Alex Mead On the doorstep of South Korea and with just 600 metres of sea separating it from Japan's Honshu island, Kyushu is the country's most southerly and easterly isle. Its mountains are the backdrop for every picture you'll take.

The volcanic landscape is breathtaking, with winding, peaked ridges covering Kyushu like sleeping dragons. However, these dragons are known to wake up.

There are 17 active volcanoes on the island, some of which erupt 100 times a month, but they are mostly little more than smoke signals that bring an even greater sense of drama to a land that at times rivals the New Zealand of the Lord of the Rings films.

The Rugby World Cup is to be held in Asia for the first time in 2019.

A quarter of the venues are in Kyushu, and with Japan's victory over South Africa in England fresh in the memory, it's going to be a bucket-list event. Oita is home to the biggest Kyushu sports stadium, a 40,000-seater.

But after flying in, many visitors head to nearby Beppu, the volcanic hot spring capital.

SPORT: The Rugby World Cup is to be held in Asia for the first time in 2019. Nearly eight million people visit this small city every year to bathe, drink or swim in the waters. We chose to be buried.

Going commando in a kimono with a yellow brolly to protect your bonce, you get buried in hot, mineral-rich black sand and are left to soak for 10 minutes in the thermal waters below.

It's like getting the most comforting bear hug or having a duvet so heavy it's off the tog scale. The gentle weight eases out the aches and pains.

You then rinse off the sand, before a soak in more spring water completes the course. Feeling baby-soft and reinvigorated, we depart for Kumamoto, the second rugby city, home to a 32,000-seater.

The drive through the mountains to get there is spectacular and around every corner is a stunning volcanic vista. Always in the distance is Aso, an active volcano that emits clouds of smoke which are visible for miles.

VIEWS: The volcanic landscape is breathtaking. Arriving in Kumamoto, we find plenty to do. Visiting the 400-year-old teahouse gardens of Suizenji, drinking sake in one of the nine breweries and eating buckwheat noodles with duck in broth is fun.

But the highlight is Kumamoto Castle. Dating back to the 1400s, it's a former Samurai hilltop fortress and, with its imposing ramparts, has repelled many a ninja attack.

The final host city, Kyushu's capital Fukuoka, is home to an intimate 22,500 capacity stadium – and a whole lot more.

It's got the lot: beaches, shopping, museums, ornamental gardens, sake-fuelled karaoke bars, Shinto shrines and ramen that'll have you slurping like a local in no time. The tonkotsu is a rich broth soaking noodles, pork, chilli and spring onions.

Whether it's £4 at a street stall or £6 at a chain, it's all good.

We'd already enjoyed some of the best wagyu beef with charcoal crisped ridges during our drive through Aso (at Sakura, a converted stable) so it's fitting our final stop would be for world-class sushi.

Sitting at the bar of the restaurant named after its star attraction, we watch as 75-year-old chef Yamanaka presses his perfect rice under a thick blanket of fatty tuna.

Next, the rice is joined by squid, a shaving of the citrus yuzu and a sprinkle of Andes salt. Yellowtail is lightly grilled and laid to rest on a plate.

If Oita made a big statement with its sushi baggage carousel at the beginning of our trip, then Yamanaka has delivered a closing speech that should have food-loving rugby fans booking tickets for Kyushu now. VENUE: Fukuoka Stadium in Kyushu's capital.

Tim Linhart – an ice sculptor in Colorado – one day carved a musical string bass completely from ice. He was mesmerised by the beautiful sound it made, so decided to create more.

But in order to showcase his remarkable musical instruments, he needed a space that would have a constant freezing temperature. AMAZING: Tim Linhart created something credible beneath the Arctic snow.

"It took me quite a while to understand that all of the tuning was a complete disaster – it was because of the temperature fluctuation," he said.

"That eventually led me to realising that I need to build my own architecture that can ventilate the heat from the audience, away from the orchestra." He chose the Swedish town of Lulea – just below the Arctic Circle as the location – and started digging into the snow with the hope of creating his own unique concert hall.

MUSICAL: He created the worlds first ice concert.

Fast-forward 20 years of hard graft, and Tim's dream had finally come to fruition. He is now the proud owner of Ice Music – the world's first musical concert made completely and utterly of ice.

It comes after a brave explorer made a horrifying discovery when he decided to climb into a 300-year-old well.

Last week, HBO was victim of a massive cyberattack where hackers had claimed to have stolen 1.5

terabytes of data.

Soon, the leaks followed and unaired episodes of Ballers, Room 104 & Barry made their way

online.

The hackers also leaked confidential information including email conversations and phone numbers

of Game of Thrones stars like Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke & Lena Headey as well as the

scripts of episode 4 & 5 of season 7, before the scheduled airing of the episodes.

They also demanded $6 million in bitcoin as a ransom for stopping the leaks.

Now, the hackers have leaked a message from HBO where a network executive had offered

them $250,000, as part of a 'bounty payment' program in which people are rewarded for finding

loopholes in a security system, in exchange for hackers to stop the leaks, reports Variety:

Variety has obtained a copy of another message released Thursday by the anonymous hacker

to select journalists in which HBO is apparently responding to the initial video letter that

was sent informing the Time Warner-owned company of the massive data breach.

The message from HBO, dated July 27, features the network's offer to make a "bounty

payment" of $250,000 as part of a program in which "white hat IT professionals"

are rewarded for "bringing these types of things to our attention."

While the message takes a curiously non-confrontational tone in response to a hacker out to damage

HBO, a source close to the investigation who confirmed the veracity of the email explained

it was worded that way to stall for time while the company attempted to assess the serious

situation.

It also opened the possibility that a $250,000 payment would be enough to appease the hacker

and avert the kind of leak that impacted other companies, from Sony to Netflix.

The message also implores the hacker to extend a ransom-payment deadline for one week while

the $250,000 payment is made and the necessary amount of bitcoin can be secured.

"You have the advantage of having surprised us," the message reads.

"In the spirit of professional cooperation, we are asking you to extend your deadline

for one week."

The $250,000 sum is also well short of the "six months salary" request made in the

video letter by the hacker, who claims to make $12 million to $15 million per year.
