Youtube daily report Nov 15 2017

[Applause]

[Music]

please welcome to speak to us the

funniest man on earth a performer of

legendary cum comic genius a children's

book author of profound depth an

individual of enormous compassion who is

doing so much to make our world a better

place the great Jim Carrey

what are you sitting down for

I was gonna melt that for a while you

guys can stretch that out in post right

you can make that longer in the Edit

Thank You Bevin thank you all Jai

Gurudev

I brought one of my paintings to show

you today I hope you guys are gonna be

able to see it okay it's not one of my

bigger pieces so you might want to move

down front get a good look at it

faculty parents friends dignified guests

graduating class of 2014 and all the

dead baseball players coming out of the

corn to be with us today

after the harbor's there's no place for

them to hide fields are empty

there's no cover there I'm here to plant

the seed today a seed that will inspire

you to move forward in life with

enthusiastic hearts and a clearer sense

of wholeness the question is will that

seed have a chance to take root or will

I be sued by Monsanto and forced to use

their seed

which may not be totally Ayurvedic

excuse me if I seem a little bit

low-energy tonight today whatever this

is I slept with my head to the north

last night oh man oh man

you know how that is right kids

yeah woke up right in the middle of

Pitta couldn't get back to sleep dobot I

rode around crazy

but I didn't freak out you know I used

that time to eat a large meal connect

with someone special on tinder because

life doesn't happen to you it happens

for you how do I know this I don't but

I'm making sound and that's the

important thing that's what I'm here to

do

sometimes I think that's the only thing

that's important really you know it's

just letting each other know we're here

reminding each other that we're part of

a larger self I used to think Jim Carrey

is all that I was just a flickering

light a dancing shadow

the great nothing masquerading is

something you can name seeking shelter

in caves and foxholes dug out hastily an

archer searching for his target in the

mirror wounded only by my own arrows

begging to be enslaved pleading for my

chains wounded by longing and tripping

over paradise

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

you didn't think it could be serious did

you I don't think you understand who

you're dealing with

I have no limits

I cannot be contained because I'm the

container you can't contain the

container man you can't contain the

container I used to believe that who I

was ended at the edge of my skin that I

had been given this little vehicle

called a body from which to experience

creation and though I couldn't have

asked for a sporty or model it was after

all a loner and would have to be

returned then I learned that everything

outside the vehicle was part of me too

and now I Drive a convertible

and then top down win to my hair

I am elated and truly truly truly

excited to be present and fully

connected to you at this important

moment in your journey I hope you're

ready to open the roof and take it all

in okay four more years then they're

obviously not ready this needs more

cooking I want to thank the trustees the

administrators the Faculty of M um for

creating an institution worthy of

maharishis ideals of Education a place

that teaches knowledge and experience

the knowledge and experience necessary

to be productive in life as well as

enabling the students through

Transcendental Meditation and ancient

Vedic knowledge to slack off twice a day

for an hour to half

don't think you're fooling me but I

guess it has some benefits it does allow

you to separate who you truly are and

what's real from the stories that run

through your head you have given them

that them the ability to walk behind the

minds elaborate set decoration and to

see that there's a huge difference

between a dog that is going to eat you

in your mind and an actual dog that is

going to eat you

that may sound like no big deal but many

never learn that distinction and they

spend a great deal of their lives living

in fight-or-flight response I'd like to

acknowledge all of you wonderful parents

way to go you've done for your tireless

dedication your love your support most

of all for the attention that you paid

to your children I have a saying beware

the unloved because they will eventually

hurt themselves or me when I look at

this group here you know I feel really

safe I do I'm just gonna say it my room

is not locked my room is not locked no

doubt some of you will turn out to be

crooks but white-collar stuff you know

Wall Street that type of thing you know

crimes committed by people with

self-esteem

stuff parents can still be proud of in a

weird way into the graduating class of

2017 - three you didn't let me finish

[Music]

congratulations

yes give yourself a round of applause

face

[Music]

you are the vanguard of knowledge and

consciousness a new wave in a vast ocean

of possibilities on the other side of

that door there's a world starving for

new ideas new leadership I've been out

there for 30 years she's a wildcat

she'll rub up against your leg and purr

until you pick her up and stop petting

her and then out of nowhere she'll slap

in the face it can be rough out there

but that's okay because there's

soft-serve ice cream with sprinkles I

guess that's what I'm really trying to

say here today sometimes it's okay to

eat your feelings

now fear is going to be a player in your

life you get to decide how much you can

spend your whole life imagining ghosts

worrying about the pathway to the future

but all there will ever be is what's

happening here in the decisions we make

in this moment which are based in either

love or fear so many of us choose our

path out of fear disguised as

practicality what we really want seems

impossibly out of reach and ridiculous

to expect so we never dare to ask the

universe for it I'm saying I'm the proof

that you can ask the universe for it

[Music]

and if it doesn't happen for you right

away it's only because the universe is

so busy fulfilling my order

[Applause]

party-size my father could have been a

great comedian but he didn't believe

that that was possible for him and so he

made a conservative choice instead he

got a safe job as an accountant and when

I was 12 years old he was let go from

that safe job and our family had to do

whatever we could to survive I learned

many great lessons from my father not

the least of which was that you can fail

at what you don't want so you might as

well take a chance on doing what you

love

it's not the only thing he taught me

though you know I watched the effect of

my father's love and humor and how it

altered the world around me and I

thought that's something to do that's

something worth my time it wasn't long

before I started acting up you know

people would come over to the house and

they'd be greeted by a seven-year-old

throwing himself down a large flight of

stairs they would say what happened and

I would say I don't know let's check the

replay I'd go back to the top of the

stairs and come back down in slow motion

it was a very strange household

my father used to brag that I wasn't a

ham I was the whole pig and he treated

my talent as if it was his second chance

when I was about 28 after a decade as a

professional comedian I realized one

night in LA that the purpose of my life

had always been to free people from

concern just like my dad

and when I realized this I dubbed my new

devotion the Church of freedom from

concern the Church of FFC

[Music]

and I dedicated myself to that ministry

what's yours

how will you serve the world what do

they need that your talent can provide

that's all you have to figure out as

someone who's done what you're about to

go and do I can tell you from experience

the effect you have on others is the

most valuable currency there is

[Music]

because everything you gain in life will

rot and fall apart and all that would be

left of you is what was in your heart am

i choosing to free people am i choosing

to free people from concern got me to

the top of a mountain look where I am

look what I get to do everywhere I go

look this I'm gonna get emotional

because when I tap into this it really

is extraordinary to me I did something

that made people present their best

selves to me wherever I go

I am at the top of the mountain and I

was and I the only the only one I hadn't

freed was myself and that's when my

search for identity deepened I wondered

who I'd be without my fame who would I

be if I said things that people didn't

want to hear or if I defied their

expectations of me what if I showed up

to the party without my Mardi Gras bat

mask and refused to flash my breasts for

a handful of beans I'll give you a

moment to wipe that image out of your

mind but you guys are so ahead of the

game you already know who you are

and that piece that piece that we're

after lies somewhere beyond personality

beyond the perception of others beyond

invention and disguise even beyond

effort itself you can join the game

fight the wars play with form all you

want but to find real peace you have to

let the armor go your need for

acceptance can make you invisible in

this world don't let anything stand in

the way of the light that shines through

this form risk being seen in all of your

glory

[Music]

it's not big enough this painting is big

for a reason it's called high visibility

it's about picking up the light and

daring to be seen here's the tricky part

everyone is attracted to the light the

party hosts up at the top who thinks

unconsciousness is bliss and is always

offering to drink from the bottles that

empty you misery below her despises the

light can't stand when you're doing well

wishes you nothing but the worst the

queen of diamonds under him needs a king

to build her house of cards and the

hollow one down bottom there will cling

to your leg and say please don't leave

me behind

for I have abandoned myself even those

who are closest to you and most in love

with you the people you love most in the

world will find clarity confronting at

times this painting took me thousands of

hours to complete and when I was

finished

thank you house thousands of hours I'll

never get him back

I'll never get them back I was I worked

on this for so long I was weeks and

weeks like the madman alone on the

scaffolding and when I was finished one

of my friends said this would be a cool

black light painting so I started over

[Applause]

[Music]

welcome to Burning Man

some pretty crazy characters up there

but better up there than in here you

know painting is one of the ways thank

you

painting is one of the ways I free

myself from concern a way to stop the

world through total mental spiritual and

physical involvement but even with that

comes a feeling of divine

dissatisfaction because ultimately we're

not the avatars we create we're not the

pictures on the film stock we are the

light that shines through all else is

just smoke and mirrors distracting but

not truly compelling I've often said

that I wished people could realize all

their dreams and wealth and fame and so

that they could see that it's not where

you're going to find your sense of

completion like many of you I was

concerned about going out into the world

and doing something bigger than myself

until someone smarter than myself made

me realize that there is nothing bigger

than myself

my soul is not contained within limits

of my body my body is contained within

the limitlessness of my soul one unified

field one unified field of nothing

dancing for no particular reason except

maybe to comfort and entertain itself

as that shift happens in you you won't

be feeling the world to be felt by it

you'll be embraced by it now I'm always

at the beginning I have a reset button

and I ride that button constantly

once that button is functioning in your

life there's no story that the mind

could create that will be as compelling

the imagination is always manufacturing

scenarios both good and bad and the ego

tries to keep you trapped in the

multiplex of the mind

our eyes are not viewers they are also

projectors that are running a second

story over the picture that we see in

front of us all the time

fear is writing that script and the

working title is I'll never be enough

they're gonna look at a person like me

and say how could we ever hope to reach

those kind of heights Jim how can we

make a painting that's too big from our

home how do you fly so high without a

special breathing apparatus this is the

voice of the ego and if you listen to it

there will always be someone who's doing

better than you no matter what you gain

ego will not let you rest it will tell

you that you cannot stop until you've

left an indelible mark on the earth

until you've achieved immortality how

tricky is this ego that it would tempt

us with the promise of something we

already possess

so I just want you to relax you know

that's my job

relax and dream up a good life I had a

substitute teacher from Ireland in the

second grade they told my class during

morning prayer that when she wants

something anything at all she prays for

it and promises something in return and

she always gets what she wants

well I'm sitting at the back of the

classroom you know thinking wow my

family can't afford a bike you know so I

went home and I prayed for him and I

promised I would recite the rosary every

night in exchange broke it broke that

promise but two weeks later I got home

from school to find a brand-new Mustang

bike with a banana seat and Easy Rider

handlebars yeah from fool to cool my

family informed me that I had won the

bike in a raffle that a friend of mine

had entered my name in without any proof

of my knowledge whatsoever so that type

of thing has been happening to me ever

since as far as I can tell it's just

about letting the universe know what you

want and working toward it while letting

go of how it comes to pass

your job is not to figure out how it's

gonna happen for you but to open the

door in your head and when the door

opens in real life just walk through it

and don't worry if you miss your cue

because there's always doors opening

they keep opening and when I say life

doesn't happen to you

it happens for you I really don't know

if that's true

I'm just making a conscious choice to

perceive challenges as something

beneficial so that I can deal with them

in the most productive way you'll come

up with your own style that's part of

the fun oh and why not take a chance on

faith as well

[Music]

take a chance on faith not religion but

faith not hope but faith I don't believe

in hope

hope is the beggar hope walks through

the fire and faith leaps over it

you are ready and able to do beautiful

things in this world and after you walk

through those doors today you will only

ever have two choices love or fear

choose love and don't ever let fear turn

you against your playful heart thank you

so much

[Applause]

How to Photograph Groomsmen at a Wedding: Breathe Your Passion with Vanessa Joy - Duration: 3:36.

This is Vanessa Joy with

Breathe your Passion

on AdoramaTV.

And today we're

going behind the scenes on

how to photography Groomsmen

Photographing groomsmen can be a little bit tricky

because the attention span tends to be a

bit shorter than photographing the

bridesmaids. One of my main goals is to

try and keep things moving and

interesting, and sometimes that means in

addition to shooting fast, I'm actually

telling a joke or two. I'll leave the

jokes to myself. My goal in shooting a

group of groomsmen, are to photograph

them altogether, as well as each one of

them individually, and each one of them

individually with the groom. It's a lot

of photos to get, but I have a pretty

good method in making sure I can get it

all done if, for times sake anything has

to be cut, it's usually photographing

each groomsman alone.

I usually start out

with something easy, just lining up all

the groomsmen in one line in a row and

alternating them according to height.

I like to make triangles with their heads,

so if I have groomsmen that have

differentiating heights. I'm usually

going up down up down, as I place them

across the photo in the straight line.

From there I try to break up the line as

much as I want to get a traditional

photo of the groomsmen, most of the time

they tend to like the ones, where they're

not as traditional. To do this I simply

have some of the taller groomsmen move

backwards, and the shorter groomsmen move

forward, and then tighten them up, and

have them step in a little bit closer to

the groom. I'll usually photograph this

set up two ways, one with a higher

aperture so I'm getting all of the

groomsmen in focus, and then again with a

lower aperture. Sometimes asking the

groom to step one or two steps in front

of them, so that he is the focus of the

picture, and all of his groomsmen are

just standing strategically behind him.

If you are running short on time, this is

a great way to quickly photograph all of

the groomsmen individually. From here

just ask them to take a step away from

the groom and then you walk around to

each one of them, and just do a quick

headshot. It takes much less time for you

to walk to them, than it does for them to

walk to you.

From here I like to photograph each of

them individually, with a groom and then

if there's time either do another pose

maybe involving some chairs or some

different kind of scene, to give them

another group photo to choose from later

in the album. Even with group photos - as

long as I have the room in the place

where I'm shooting, I like to shoot with

either a 50mm or 85mm lens,

because I adore the compression

that it gives in the image.

occasionally I'll also shoot at a slightly lower

angle on the groomsmen, shooting up at

them while being careful that nobody

looks like they have double chins, does

tend to make them look more powerful and

more masculine. All while I'm posing and

taking pictures of the groomsmen, my

second shooter has a job here as well

and usually she's off to the right, or

the left with the longer lens a 135mm or maybe a 70 to 200mm

photographing little close-ups of the

groomsmen, in groups of two or three, or

just one of them individually. This

creates a nice set of candid images in

addition to the ones that I'm taking,

where they're typically looking at me.

I hope this has sparked some ideas on

workflow, and methods for photographing

groomsmen. Make sure you hit the

subscribe button below so you don't miss

Charlyboy rains curses on 'cabal, corrupt youths' in Nigeria

Maverick entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly called Charlyboy, has called on gods to arrest corrupt leaders in Nigeria since prayers have failed.

The Convener of OurMumuDonDo Movement, took to social media, calling for protection of Nigerians from evil doers who have inflicted hardship on the people.

According to him, any youth that helped political criminals would forever remain wretched henceforth.

On his twitter page @areafada1 he wrote Since prayers no touch evil Nigerians again.

I call on our powerful ancestral Gods to protect us from the hands of Evil doers in Nigeria.

In the name of Amadioha,Sango,Magiro may the principalities die.

To those who ruined Nigeria and brought untold hardship unto my people may it never be well with your household and generations.

Any youth again who will carry ballot box or suitcase for these political criminals may your life remain wretched.

To the cabals may all stolen money be returned to the people.

May God punish bad people.

N5.1bn fraud: Court rejects Jonathan's ex-aide's plea to travel abroad|NVS News|News Entertaiment| - Duration: 2:48.

N5.1bn fraud: Court rejects Jonathan's ex-aide's plea to travel abroad

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday rejected the plea by former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Domestic Affairs, Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, to travel abroad for medical treatment.

Dudafa, who is being prosecuted for an alleged fraud involving N5.

1bn, claimed to have sustained a spinal cord injury while in the detention facility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

His lawyer, Mr Adegboyega Oyewole (SAN), pleaded with Justice Mohammed Idris to order the release of his client's passport, so he could seek medical intervention abroad.

The judge, however, dismissed the application, holding that it lacked merit.

According to the judge, Dudafa failed to disprove the argument put forward by the EFCC on the expert report that his condition could be treated in Nigeria.

"In view of the overwhelming evidence before me, I find it difficult to grant this application; same is hereby dismissed," the judge held.

Counsel for the EFCC, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, had vehemently opposed the application, describing it as a ploy to stall Dudafa's trial.

The offence is said to be contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 2012 and punishable under Section 17(a) of the same Act.

Dudafa had pleaded not guilty.

Further proceedings were adjourned till Wednesday.

Parkridge Connect Live: I HEAL - Duration: 4:40.

- Welcome Parkridge Medical Center family.

This is Tom Ozburn.

We're here for our podcast.

I had an opportunity to meet and visit with a lot of you

during our last open meetings.

At those meetings, I introduced our new values.

We had a short video, and our new values are

I Heal, and Heal stands for Honesty.

It stands for Excellence and quality,

Accountability and Leadership.

We all decided to go off site on the day of the

monumental eclipse and we choose that day

because it was a monumental day for us to

really re-establish what our core values

as a hospital system are.

I've got a guest with me today.

You guys know, and you saw the first podcast.

I like to have a guest.

This is Sarah.

Sarah works on the third floor.

When I started asking questions about

who embraces these values?

Who would be an example of someone that

you could point to and say

that person has I Heal values.

And Sarah's name came up.

So Sarah, thank you for being here, number one.

- Thank you for having me.

Tell me a little bit about nursing care

and what does I Heal mean to you

to how you provide care to patients.

- It was great to learn.

I love the inspired to Heal,

just is a great acronym to use.

Just talking about honesty, as a nurse,

is a huge attribute, and I think of,

as a nurse, it has to be who I am as a person, first.

I've got great parents that taught me

the value of telling the truth, being honest,

being able to admit when you make a mistake.

I think that's something huge that

I've learned over the years to do.

I think of excellence,

that I'm going to be the best nurse that I can be.

I love the unit I work with with day surgery.

We use teamwork.

I think the more you have together, the better.

And I just love that about Parkridge

and the day surgery that I work with.

As far as.....

As far as accountability,

I think of the responsibility I have as a nurse.

I want to look professional, have my badge on.

I want to be, when I speak to people and see them,

I want to treat everybody the same way,

be kind in the way I respond,

whether they're kind to me or not.

And then I think of leadership,

I've been very blessed to be able to be a leader

on our floor.

I get to do charge nurse every Friday.

I think as my role, as a mom, I have three kids

and if I want somebody to be a certain way,

I have to show them by my example first.

I want my co-workers to feel appreciated.

I feel like people go over and beyond

when they know they're appreciated.

I want to be positive.

I want to be encouraging.

So those are just some of the things

that I've learned as a nurse.

Thanks for having me today.

- That's awesome.

I told Sarah when we started,

we don't take second takes,

so mistakes are all in there.

I made a mistake right out of the gate, I always do.

So Sarah is in same day, that's where she is.

We're actually on the third floor, filming.

So I know everybody's watching this going,

man, what are you talking about?

She's not on the third floor.

We're filming on the third floor.

She's from same day.

We're super excited.

All the things Sarah that just talked about,

those are the type things that our patients want.

That's why they come back here.

That's why they feel good about the care they're receiving.

When someone like Sarah is making sure

that they're getting everything that they need,

being transparent with their care,

leading through example, that's really what it's all about.

Thank you, guys.

Thank you, Sarah.

- Thanks for having me.

- And we hope to get more information out

to each and every one of you, so each of you

can also be like Sarah and be inspired to heal.

Thank you so much.

>> [SOUND] [APPLAUSE] >> A surreal moment at Survivor Series.

Goldberg, heading to the ring for the first time in 12 years,

to take on the Beast, Brock Lesnar.

[MUSIC]

>> Two titans about to clash, here in Toronto.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> [SOUND] The following

contest is scheduled for one fall.

Introducing first, accompanied by Paul Heyman from Minneapolis,

Minnesota, weighing 290 pounds, Brock Lesnar

>> Look into the eyes of Brock Lesnar.

Almost soulless like an animal about to attack.

>> His opponent from Atlanta, Georgia,

weighing 285 pounds, GOLDBERG.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> The first undisputed,

undefeated world champion in history.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> Talking about

two men that have competitive fire entrenched in their DNA.

>> And Goldberg, definitely not afraid of Brock Lesnar.

Everybody else in the world may be afraid of Brock, but

Goldberg is not one of those men.

Goldberg said a few weeks ago,

I have no problem going to the hospital after this match.

But I'm gonna make sure Brock Lesnar comes with me.

>> Only one other man in history has multiple one-on-one

pay-per-view victories over Brock Lesnar, that's John Cena.

Goldberg looking to do it tonight, and

Brock Lesnar looking to establish dominance, and Goldberg dropping Lesnar.

>> Goldberg was unphased.

And Lesnar couldn't believe it.

A look of shock in the eyes of the Beast, who was planted by Goldberg.

>> No fear from Goldberg.

>> A spear.

Goldberg hit Lesnar with a spear, a spear from out of nowhere.

>> Goldberg may shock the world, Goldberg looking to end this early.

>> Lesnar is hurt, Lesnar is hurt.

Goldberg again with a spear, two spears to Lesnar.

Brock's in trouble, Brock's in trouble.

>> I don't think anybody expected this sort of dominance right out of the gate

from Goldberg.

>> The Beast may be on the verge of getting slayed.

>> What an incredible moment here.

>> Lesnar, trying to catch his breath, trying to make it to his feet.

>> The Icon is stalking the Beast Incarnate.

>> Lesnar can't even get up.

Goldberg again has got Lesnar center of the ring.

>> Goldberg's looking for a jack hammer.

>> [CROSSTALK] He's got him in a jack hammer.

Goldberg, doing the jackhammer.

A jackhammer on Lesnar.

And there's the cover.

>> One, two, three.

>> My God.

Goldberg beat Brock.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> Here is your winner, Goldberg.

>> A monumental upset.

After 12 years, Goldberg returns to the ring and

absolutely destroys the Beast.

>> I cannot believe what I just witnessed.

>> You and me both, Goldberg's really had one last jack hammer, and

that one last jack hammer was good enough to pin Brock Lesnar.

>> The entire world has got to be in shock right now.

Triple H Named Final Member Of Team Raw - Duration: 3:02.

Triple H Named Final Member Of Team Raw

This week's episode of Monday Night Raw was filled with plenty of Survivor Series storylines and surprises.

But the biggest news of the night cause most off guard, with Triple H naming himself as the injury replacement for Jason Jordan as the fifth and final member of Team Raw in the 5-on-5 interbrand match.

The show started with Stephanie McMahon scoffing at Angle's decision to name Jordan to Team Raw. Angle said he had a tough decision to make, and put Jordan in a match against Bray Wyatt, who brutally attacked and injured Jordan.

Angle had no choice but to find a replacement, and that's where Triple H came out and was named to Team Raw. It marked The Game's first appearance on Raw since losing to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33 seven months ago.

But Triple H will be well prepared for this match as he wrestled on WWE's tours in South America and Europe. That also included him teaming up with The Shield in a match against Bray Wyatt, Cesaro and Sheamus.

Barring any more surprises, it'll be Angle, Triple H, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor against Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and John Cena.

This means that five stars from the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras will be in the 10-man match, while the other half will feature five of today's rising superstars.

Triple H hasn't competed in a Survivor Series match since 2009 when he and Shawn Michaels (as members of D-Generation X) lost a Triple Threat match to John Cena for the WWE Championship.

He did appear at Survivor Series 2014 and 2015 but not in wrestling roles.

We may soon get more details about why WWE made Triple H a very late replacement over Jordan. It's worth noting that WWE fans cheered and chanted for Wyatt after "injuring" Jordan, even though the latter plays a babyface role.

$650 64-Core Quad Socket Gaming Workstation! - Duration: 9:51.

Back in December of 2015 we threw together a budget eight core gaming PC for under a hundred and fifty bucks

for the CPU RAM and motherboard. That is still a great deal almost two years later, and we were able to do this

Thanks to a couple of things. One:

high-end workstation and server equipment is often ahead of the technology curve in certain ways like multi-core processors and

Two: the way that businesses upgrade their IT gear on a regular cycle

Can lead to big jumps in the supply of

This older tech

on sites like eBay, where the pricing often ends up much lower than mainstream

hardware because it's less familiar to the average consumer and nobody's searching for it. So we thought to ourselves well

Now eight core CPUs are like mainstream, so how do we take this concept to another level?

Let's build the most badass machine possible

using decommissioned server gear

What could go wrong? (Boom)

[Music Plays Here]

Nothing could go wrong by visiting our merch store, which has shirts hats and more

It even has stickers

There's a link below.

So this video has actually been ongoing since uh,

mid May, I mean what the crap? How difficult could it be to source some

junky old stuff on eBay and slap it together

It's story time

So way back then Anthony and I, that was like way early on in his employment here even,

we sat down, and we first looked for the biggest baddest motherboard

We could possibly find on eBay. The most sockets, the most memory slots, the most

actual

physical size, and we settled on this: the Supermicro H8QG6F

designed for the proprietary

SW TX form factor. It checked all the boxes. Four G34 CPU sockets

32 DIMM slots for up to a terabyte of ECC registered ddr3 memory

Multiple PCI Express slots and even an on board LSI SAS controller. This thing is in another league!

Look at all those connectors, and yes, those are fans on the chipsets

plural chipsets

Speaking of which the i/o includes three Ethernet port so two gigabit for data and another one for IP mi

Which is a remote management interface you can learn more about here.

Next up then

Choosing a CPU; Or rather four of them. As we pointed out in our hundred and fifty dollar gaming rig video

top of the line SKUs for even very old servers are still being sold at a premium but

drop down a few tiers and aha

There we go the Opteron 6276 with

16 cores each can be had for 30 bucks

So we snatched up four of those then we grabbed a case lot of

16 four gigabyte sticks of ECC registered memory giving us

quad-channel memory for each of our

4 CPUs

That's like 16 channels of memory

Hahahahaha. So then at this point we were ready to rip up the performance charts, right?

Not really, so not only is this motherboard a crazy form factor

That wouldn't even begin to fit in any case or test bench we have here at the office

We also needed to track down a power supply with three

EPS 12 volt connectors in order to supply power to all of these bloody CPUs

I mean even the highest end consumer units only come with two such cables at most so what we ended up doing was

frankensteining together the cables from two modular units onto one

success

So then with that issue you solved we plugged it all in and powered it up

Blank screen

The board wasn't posting. Now the CPUs are on the supported list so... what gives?

well, we ended up shelving it and waiting a couple of months for a slightly stripped down version of the same board it lacks the

SAS controller and a few PCIe slots, so that's a bummer

But it'll do at least it came with some eight core Opteron 6128 already installed

So we were able to use those to fire it up verify it was working then swap our 16 cores in and what?

Okay, I'm gonna skip the long version here

And it turns out that despite the BIOS reporting that it was the latest revision it

Was not so a desperation BIOS flash later, and we were finally in business

On an unrelated note anyone want to buy an unexpectedly functional quad socket Opteron board

anyone Bueller Bueller

Bueller

Oh right, no you want to see how it performs first. Huh well with a whopping

64 cores we put it straight head-to-head with Ryzen Thread Ripper and

Intel's latest core i9. I mean this thing's gonna win with its eyes closed and one hand behind

It's back in the multi-threaded tests right. We'll get to those but first. Let's address the elephant in the video title

Gaming

It sucks. Like

Let me make this abundantly clear

This is a 1080 TI running at 1080p

So if you've ever wondered what a bottleneck looks like

This is it rise of the Tomb Raider in DirectX 12 got 10% of the performance of the core i7 7700 get

10% and it's even worse in csgo, I mean at least it was only half as bad in 3d marking Unigine superposition

But I mean if Supermicro is to be believed

This is or at least was a machine that was designed to do work not games

So will it blend

Actually, yeah in blender its 3d rendering prowess doesn't put it quite on the level of Thread Ripper work

For i9 but it handily outdoes the Rison 7 1800 x4 roughly the same overall system cost

unsurprisingly Cinebench and 7-zip show similar results, but the lack of a VX to support and

Relatively low cache per core hinders its high core count significantly compared to its more modern competition

even in these multi-threaded workloads and

There's more to buying a CPU than just performance too so we tested our thermals with some

Noctua nff 12s just sitting on top of the heat sinks that were included with our board and actually

this wasn't bad each CPU hit only 55 degrees at the worst in AIDA64 as

for that power draw

Hone le wow that's a number that only gets trumped by our

overclocked

18 core core i9 7980XE extreme edition though in fairness this is

64 cores across four CPUs

So bottom line then umm

Fun experiment, but did we get our money's worth well given that we bought two boards by accident

No, no we didn't but let's play a game where we pretend. We didn't do that for gaming this setup is

super dumb, but for productivity

Surely doesn't look that bad

Even though it is at the bottom of our charts like so all in we paid about

eighteen hundred and eighty eight dollars for this ghetto workstation as SPECT

Using a motherboard box as an open bench style case now as soon as you buy modern hardware like a 1080 Ti

the bottlenecking of that high end gear hurts your overall system value

But if all you wanted was CPU performance

And you just put like a five dollar graphics card in then our system here actually

Delivers better value than Ryzen Thread Ripper, and if we had waited our testing more towards blender

We'd have seen an even better price to performance ratio this actually makes for a, a really cool budget blender box

but if

You want to do almost literally?

Anything else with your machine especially gaming it

Shouldn't be your first choice

SILVER STADIUM 008 - Cheerleading: BRING IT ON (2000) - Duration: 7:47.

When writing a story it is common to call upon

what are called archetypes or clichés.

In Ken Miyamoto's article published in June 2017 on Screencraft,

he counted no less than 99.

Among which, under other names,

we can find

"a brain..."

"... and an athlete..."

"... and a basket case..."

"... a princess..."

"... and a criminal."

One of those clichés that will have been overused

during the last century

is that of the cheerleader,

which can fall into various categories,

especially that of the stupid blond

as she is represented in Daria.

Or the Alpha Bitch.

Cliché that although old-fashioned

remains a fantasy for some people.

Nevertheless, and we can be proud of it

there are other representations

of the cheerleader in fiction.

If in horror movies

she is only moving away slightly

of what she is usually associated with

Other films where they are the core

try to approach the tack differently.

And here I am very clearly referencing

to 'But I'm A Cheerleader'

from Jamie Babitt with Natasha Lyonne and Clea DuVall.

She can also move away from the cliché

by being a linchpin in the story as in "Heroes"

"Save the cheerleader, save the world"

And since we're talking about Hayden Panettiere

so we have to talk about "Bring It On: All or Nothing",

third part of a series of films

which according to Lauren Duca contributed

to dispel this cliche and to give

another dimension to cheerleading.

And if there was a third movie

it is that there was a first one.

What a luck

the movie of the day; "Bring It On"

Welcome to Silver Stadium.

"Bring It On",in french for purely marketing purposes into "American Girls"

is an American film of 2000

directed by Peyton Reed, as it is his first feature film,

before that follow later,

"The Break-Up", "Yes-Man" or "Ant-Man".

The film stars Kirsten Dunst

who before that had already played in "Dick",

"Drop Dead Gorgeous", "Watch The Dog",

"Jumanji", "Interview with the Vampire"

and a small role in "The Bonfire of the Vanities".

And here I quote only the most known.

Eliza Dushku, seen earlier in

"True Lies" and obviously in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

And Gabrielle Union

that we could have seen in "She's All That"

or "10 Things I hate about you".

The story summarized quickly;

the path of a cheerleading team

who will play its reputation at the next national championship.

As a new school year begins,

San Diego High School cheerleaders team elect new captain.

This is Torrance.

During the first training she sets up

one of its members is injured,

so a substitute is required

So embarrassing selections are organized

where no one seems to be fitting,

until the arrival of Missy,

whose style and attitude

do not seem appropriate to what is sought.

We are talking here, succinctly,

a fairly recurrent theme in teens-movies;

the appearance must not be a vector of judgment.

What is interesting here

it is that we treat this on both sides.

We have the cheerleaders' point of view on Missy

and the one of Missy and other people on the cheerleaders.

Showing that all this makes little sense.

Finally, Missy

initially rejected by team members

eventually join her because Torrance

believes in her and her potential

and shows her that cheerleading

is just as much a sport as gymnastics

that Missy practiced in her old high school in Los Angeles.

However during the first training

Missy hurriedly leaves the scene.

Torrance not understanding why asks for explanations.

Missy then takes Torrance to East Compton to show her

that all the routines that the Toros learn are those of another team.

Torrance then questions the victories of her team,

5 in a row

and then comes the issue of knowing

whether it is better to win whatever what

or take the risk of losing

but providing something personal.

As time runs by both sides will confront each other

until the Clovers come to show

where do the choreographies come from

during a US football game.

Aware that they must give more personal work

they will start by hiring a professional choreographer

which will prove to be a bad idea

because he was just selling the same number to all the teams.

Now able to lean on only on themselves

they will find inspiration in everything that can be possible.

And will also benefit from what the football team

that they are supposed to cheer is extremely bad

to turn them into new workouts.

This does not prevent anyway footballers from insulting

the boys of the team,

(because yes I did not say but cheerleading is a mixed sport,

even if we focus mainly on Missy, Torrance, Courtney and Whitney),

while they can not even score a single point

in games they play.

So we deal with how boys are considered

when practicing a so-called feminine activity

thus questioning their sexuality.

Where it is interesting

is that is clear that the point of view

from footballers is pretty stupid

while the cheerleaders

are fulfilled in what they do

and that's the important thing.

The team will arrive until the national championship

to defend their title, where it will find the Clovers

participating for the first time.

Not without overcoming some financial problems

that Torrance was ready to settle

because she really wanted to compete with these new rivals.

A rivalry that will become a deep respect

especially between the two captains

not hesitating to give advice to each other

because great recognize great.

Follows the national competition

allowing us to see how a real competition takes place.

And if the end is rather expected,

it is none the less honest.

In the end, underneath the look of classic teen-movies

with topics already discussed many times;

the arrival of a new one, appearance that does not mean anything

except that we are looking for who we are

or the love triangle

in this case between Torrance, Cliff and Aaron

the film manages to bring originality to its comments.

Plus as said in the intro

this film allowed to change the vision

that we can have about the cheerleader

by no longer treating her as a typical character

recognizable in the mass,

But like what she really is,

a high-level sportswoman.

The way the NHSCC is filmed,

real competition whose next edition will take place

on the 10th and 11th of February 2018,

with UCA banners,

leading cheerleading association shows it well.

I do not know if members worked on the project,

but it would seem coherent to me.

On the other hand I can tell you that they've worked on the musical.

Indeed the film gave birth

a lot of sequels

which I only saw the third installment

repeating more or less the same codes.

It remains nice, but this first episode

seems to me the most interesting

from the point of view that allow

the characters of Missy and Cliff.

Concerning film direction nothing marked me

and the music is very typical

of end of 90's early 2000.

Which for my part delights me because it is my youth

but can also suggest a lack of imagination

and tends to date even more the film

which is approaching twenties.

Let's be said, the film has not aged so badly,

a little bit but not too much.

In conclusion; I can only recommend it to you.

As a teen-movie or initiation

it's one of the smartest I've seen

It is the reference.

I confess I do not know much about competition

Thank you all for watching this episode.

See you next time,

And I'm not 100% sure to know what either.

We'll see.

Taylor Swift sells 1m albums in four days

Image copyright Getty Images Image caption Since 2012, only Swift and Adele have sold a million copies of an album in a single week After just four days, Taylor Swift has sold more albums in the US than any other artist this year.

The stars sixth album, Reputation, has sold 104 million copies in the US since Friday, says Billboard magazine. That puts her ahead of 2017s previous biggest-seller, Ed Sheerans ÷, which has shifted 919,000 copies to date.

Reputation also becomes Swifts fourth album to sell a million copies in the space of a week, following 1989, Red and Speak Now.

In fact, only she and Adele have sold a million copies of any album in a seven-day frame since 2012.

Notably, both artists withheld their records from streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music - a move which drives committed fans to buy or download the album.

It has been rumoured that Reputation will be made available on those services later this week.

Media playback is unsupported on your device   Media captionFirst impressions of Taylor Swifts new album Reputation, which sees the star delve deeper than ever before into the realms of pop and hip-hop, has received largely positive reviews from critics.

The Telegraph called it a big, brash, all-guns-blazing blast of weaponised pop that grapples with the vulnerability of the human heart as it is pummelled by 21st-century fame.

NPRs critic Ann Powers noted that Swifts lyrics had matured, describing the stand-out track Getaway Car as: A sure-footed step forward into the vagaries of grown up life. BBC Musics Mark Savage said it was her most sonically adventurous album yet, while noting that moments where she lashes out at her detractors dont really lend themselves to big, singalong choruses.

However, the New York Times writer Jon Caramanica questioned whether Swift had diluted her appeal by borrowing so heavily from other genres.

In making her most modern album - one in which she steadily visits hostile territory and comes out largely unscathed - Ms Swift has actually delivered a brainteaser: If youre using other peoples parts, can you ever really recreate your self? Reputation is set to debut at number one in the UK, after selling 65,437 copies over the weekend.

However, she is unlikely to beat Sheeran in his home territory. Divide sold 672,000 copies in its first week this March - making it the third-fastest seller in chart history, behind Adeles 25 (800,000 sales) and Oasis Be Here Now (696,000).

Sheerans album, of course, was available on streaming services - which accounted for 12% of its sales. Earlier this week, Spotifys Troy Carter criticised Swifts decision to hold her album back, saying it would encourage piracy.

It kind of sets the industry back a little bit, he said, while adding: Taylor is super smart. We are not mad at her for the decision she made.      .

IO Interactive Has Two More HITMAN Games Planned; TV Series Coming on Hulu|K CHANNEL - Duration: 2:19.

IO Interactive Has Two More HITMAN Games Planned; TV Series Coming on Hulu

IO Interactive recently split from Square Enix, becoming an independent studio for the first time in its history.

HITMAN's GOTY Edition, now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, is self-published and it's only the beginning, as apparently the Danish studio has two more HITMAN games planned.

This news was revealed by Deadline, alongside the reveal that Fox 21 and Hulu are working on a TV series based on the IP.

The pilot episode's script will be written by Derek Kolstad, who wrote and created the John Wick movie franchise. Going back to the games, IO Interactive's CEO Hakan Abrak talked about the benefits of going independent in an interview with GamesIndustry.

We have really been in awe regarding interest from publishers and investors alike. We went through with the management buyout because we believe, deep down in our core, that we need to feel, breathe and act independently.

We need to be free to embrace and live directly with our fans and community, and free to make fundamental decisions for the studio and our games, within our own halls.

The AAA digital era is where we all are right now and it made perfect sense for Hitman Season One.

Being able to create that experience and then continue to add to it has been immensely rewarding for IO Interactive, and we hope for our players too.

That journey has not only changed Hitman, it has changed our thinking also, when it comes to creating new universes in the future.

This has been a genuine watershed moment for us. Just like our games, it can be challenging at times, but now we're in control of what we do next and that's quite satisfying.

Being independent means we don't have to do things the way we've done them in the past. We can decide what's right for IO Interactive, for Hitman and for our players.

Abrak also added that while IO Interactive lost the rights to Kane & Lynch and Mini Ninjas while splitting from Square Enix, they've retained the Freedom Fighters IP in addition to HITMAN.

We'll keep you updated on the next project by IO Interactive as soon as more details are revealed.

IO Interactive has cut a deal to make a Hitman TV series|K CHANNEL - Duration: 1:21.

IO Interactive has cut a deal to make a Hitman TV series

The team behind last years episodic off-em-up Hitman have confirmed theyve cut a deal with Fox 21 and Hulu to produce a television series based on the game.

This seems like a bit of potential good news for developer IO Interactive, which went independent in June after former parent company Square Enix abruptly decided to sell off the studio.

The split resulted in a round of layoffs and some dickering over IP rights, but IO Interactive walked away with the keys to its Hitman franchise and has continued to produce content updates.

The 2016 game recently surpassed 7 million players (though chunks of the game were released for free) and IO has said its working on a second game.

According to Deadline, the new TV series will be executive produced by a team that includes John Wick writer and creator Derek Kolstad, who is also expected to contribute a pilot script.

Of course, this wont be the first time Hitmans been licensed to Hollywood: there were two separate films released in 2007 and 2015 that portrayed their own versions of the series titular character.

20th Century Boy and Girl | Ep 23-24 ENG SUB Review - Duration: 4:33.

20th Century Boy and Girl | Ep 23-24 ENG SUB Review

So-ni is a very emotional guy.

We can tell this because in nearly all of his scenes, whether its sick at home or flashbacks with his stepbrother or just casual conversation with Jin-jin, So-ni is always expressing very strong emotions.

What is missing from So-nis character is much in the way of explanation as to why he has these strong emotions in the first place.

So-ni only really knows Jin-jin, after all, from the fake marriage show.

Before that she was just an abstraction.

But the underdeveloped relationship between So-ni and Ji-won is the far more glaring omission.

While watching one brother get on his knees and cry in front of the other one, I was suddenly struck by how, way back when we got the flashback of how they first met.that they didnt actually say anything.

It was just implied that after that moment So-ni and Ji-won gained a powerful brotherly bond, because we skip right to the present day with no intervening context.

This absence of backstory, coupled with the usual lack of conflict, creates an awkward situation where acting is concerned. All the emotional scenes involving So-ni and Ji-won come off as highly overwrought.

The climax in particular is disproportionately dramatic.

Even if Jin-jin and Ji-wons relationship is exposed.so what? Thats happened with media personalities on these programs before, and its never such a big scandal as to threaten anyones career.

So-nis actions might make more sense out of jealousy, since exposing Jin-jin and Ji-wons relationship would prematurely end any hope he has of getting together with Jin-jin himself.

Unfortunately, So-ni is such an explicitly hopelessly noble character such potentially intriguing dramatic conflict is unlikely.

Incidentally, the juxtaposition of So-nis agony over the situation is a sharp contrast to a few scenes earlier, when another character who really should have known better was loudly talking about Jin-jin and Ji-wons relationship in public was played off as a joke.

Boy and Girl From the 20th Century is less an explicitly bad drama as it is one with pretty much no point, which tries its best to wring major drama out of minor nonsense.

Episode twenty-three has an entire subplot where Yeong-sim has to decide whether to hang a sign on the door.

She doesnt talk to Kyeong-seok about this ahead of time, so he gets mad at her.

Thats it. Thats the entire story.

Also Ah-reum and Woo-seong are now explicitly dating.

Yay, I guess. Review by William Schwartz.

Boy and Girl From the 20th Century is directed by Lee Dong-yoon , written by Lee Seon-hye and features Han Ye-seul, Kim Ji-suk, Lee Sang-woo, Lee Sang-hee-II, and Ryu Hyun-kyung.

This Life Is Our First Life" Ep 12 Eng Sub Review - Duration: 4:43.

This Life Is Our First Life" Ep 12 Eng Sub Review

The big climactic kiss that closed off the last episode is inevitably interrupted.

I mean that not in the narrative sense, but the literal.

Sooner or later any couple that is kissing must stop for some reason.

From there, we segue into Ji-hos internal monologue about how real life is different than dramas.

Normally such kind of meta-narration is eye roll inducing but Ji-ho does bring up a good point.

How exactly is her relationship with Se-hee supposed to escalate when its so chronically placid?.

Se-hees too scary for Ji-ho to want to act forward with him.

Which is ironic, since in the face of any kind of confrontation Se-hee immediately backs down into an internal puppy whimper.

Its the single best clue that the colder aspects of Se-hees personality are largely a front, which exist for reasons we can pretty easily guess.

But important hints and pivotal flashback notwithstanding, This Life Is Our First Life is still holding a lot back for the final episodes.

Fortunately theres still a lot else going on elsewhere.

Se-hee and Ji-hos attempt at a date is adorable.

Soo-jis visit with the brassiere artisan, while relevant in light of whats happened, comes off as a delightfully weird subplot about how some women dont like bras because of the difficulty involved in getting an appropriate size.

Im sincerely hoping all their business chat eventually evolves into a serious entrepreneurial enterprise, since starting an independent business would be the main obvious solution to Soo-jis sexual harassment problems.

Not that Soo-ji sees these as problems, though she probably should.

I like how Song-goo is so insecure and needy with her.

I mean, normally those are very obnoxious personality traits, but we can see Song-goo actively trying to scale them back and not always succeeding.

The way the main couples all act as an inspiration to each other to improve on their worst personal impulses is always a highlight.

Although there is one exception.

Ho-rang and Won-seok, the couple who have been together the longest, actually bring out the worst impulses in one another.

Its an odd paradox- by being so comfortable with each other, they dont challenge each other as they should.

The worst of it is that they do finally realize that they suck at communicating, but then choose the dumbest possible way of resolving that problem.

Dumb, but from their immediate perspective, logical.

Which allows them to stay relatable and sympathetic.

Review by William Schwartz.
