MUST-KNOW TIPS: WINGED EYELINER (HOODED ASIAN EYES) TUTORIAL ♡ Jessica Vu - Duration: 3:54.♪: 산이(San E) - Me You (Inst.)
Hello everybody, welcome back to my channel
My name is Jessica and today's video is going to be on
how I do my winged eyeliner
I have flat hooded eyelids and it took me a long time to figure out how to do winged eyeliner on my eyes
so I hope this video is helpful if you have a similar eye shape to mine
If you want to see how I do my winged eyeliner, just keep watching
First, I start out with a brush tip eyeliner
Brush tip eyeliners are sharper so they help you get the perfect shape
and they're also easier to remove in the case that you do make a mistake
I do not recommend using a felt tip or gel eyeliner for the first step
Felt tip eyeliners tend to crumble when you remove them
and gel eyeliners have to be removed with an oil-based makeup remover
which will mess up your eye shadow if you're wearing any
Ok, so this is the most important step
If you have hooded eyes, start with the eyeliner on the top of your eyelid
This gives you more control as to where the wing goes
Whereas if you started with the bottom of your eyeliner
the angle may be too harsh and interfere with your eyelid
Next, I'm using really small strokes on the inner portion of the eyelid
It doesn't have to connect because we're gonna go over it later
Because the upper portion of the wing is already done
you can really create whatever angle you want with the bottom eyeliner
as long as it can connect to the top
So now that we have a basic outline
I'm using makeup remover to clean up the tail
Next, I'm switching to felt tip eyeliner
This is more pigmented so it's really gonna help fill in everything faster
I do make the inner portion of the eyelid a little thicker at this point
That's really gonna help you blend in your falsies later on
I'm also going to use that to fill in the lash line
The outer portion of the eyelid ended up being a little thicker than I would've liked
so I removed it and went over it again to make it a little bit thinner
So because my eyelids make the shape of my eyes appear more downturned
I like to make my winged eyeliner sort of counteract that
I do this by making the inner eyeliner the thinnest
and then where the crease goes down
I make that the thickest area
So that's basically it
That's how I do my winged eyeliner
I hope this video was helpful

2018 BMW S1000XR complete review - Duration: 17:36.I really wanted to do this review outside in the direct sunlight because I
believe that this color the metallic blue matte looks best under direct
sunlight, but the weather had different ideas for today's so here we are in the
garage for a review of the BMW s1000xr but fear not because I am taking this
beauty to the streets for this review
this is a 2018 model brand-new and to address the elephant in the room because
I know that everybody is asking "does the 2018 vibrate as much as the previous
model? does abuzz crazy like the previous model?" well in my opinion it doesn't the
BMW engineers got to work and try to address the vibration on the bike they
reworked the handlebars and if you look, there is now a rubber component much
wider that is taking care of the buzzing of the handlebar, this bike comes
in three different colors you have the classic BMW color that pretty much
scream I just got out of the race track man and this is the back to do it with
then you have the red color which says you know what it might look like a Tourer
but get out of my way 'cause I'm super fast and then you have this, undoubtedly
the classiest color of the bunch this blue metallic matte color that says
you know what I'm a gentleman but I still kick your butt up and down a
twisty road other than that you get a black frame and a black rear swingarm
with black rims it looks absolutely stunning but the real gem is this engine
these thousand cc engine actually one less 999
CC engine, this engine is a beauty it's fast
is reliable it's it's one of my favorite inline engine that are out there right
now it's a proper leader bike 165 horses and 85 foot pound of torque this bike is
all about sport touring it's very sport is very fast it's very nimble but at the
same time you can have a maybe dislike the side panniers to carry all your
luggage you have a rack in the back you have hang guards up front and an
adjustable windscreen that you can adjust up or down depending on top of
that you get all the amenities you have come to expect from a high-end BMW
motorcycle you have cruise control you have riding modes you have ABS traction
control pretty much all the rider aids that you can find around the industry on
top of that signature BMW you have eated grips they are on every single model you
can buy from them on this particular bike you also have adjustable suspension
by switch so toggle the switch and choose the setting for the suspensions
you have riding modes you have LED rear light and this one having the dynamic
package also come with dynamic mode pro so you have abs Pro you have dynamic Pro
and on top of that this bike also come with the Touring package which gives you
the the frames for the rear pioneers and gives you the setting for the BMW GPS to
be plugged in and be integrated with the bikes so the basic model is around
$16,000 this one is heavily upgraded so it's
higher being a member of that family this bike gets the best break in the
industry we have a brain bow break with Brembo discs and still bread line beside
that you have an ABS Pro with lean angle sensor so the ABS is gonna be able to
figure out what angle you're leaning and adjust is input according to how much
you're leaning you also get quick shift in Auto
bleepers so up and down and trust me on that
it feels amazing if that wasn't enough this bike also gets slipper clutch so
there is not gonna be any real wheel hopping while you're pressing it hard
this is a fast bike this is a sport bike at heart with all the comfort of a
touring bike this is not a tall bike the seat height is only 33 inches but
because the seat is so wide and comfortable you do a problem touching
down even at 6 foot - like I am now I have a
32 inch inseam and I do touch some time if I squeeze my leg I can actually touch
flat foot on the ground but most time for comfort you'll be tiptoeing as with
all their bikes a BMW of it offers an array of different seat heights you can
adjust the bike the way you want if you're not so tall they will have a
solution for you when it comes to comfort this bike is second to none look
at my position as I'm riding it's upright it's comfortable I'm not
stretching I'm not reaching for it it's just the way it's supposed to be for a
sport tutor but let's get to the practical side of things this bike is
about 500 pound with a thousand cc engine therefore you can expect a
consumption of 35 miles per gallon which for the power of this bike it's not
outrageous it's pretty much very very very common other than that
you get some more space under the seat than a regular scratch rocket if you
remove the seat there is plenty of space to put all your gloves tools or whatever
you want to carry with you with moderation as always under the seat you
find the classic BMW toolkit that nowaday I'm still baffled when I see a
toolkit being given with a bike enough with all those technical stuff let's
take the bike out for a spin and let's see how it goes this bike is supposed to
be able to do at all we're gonna see how it goes I can tell you right off the bat
the riding position is super comfortable I'm sitting very upright the bars are
not too far away I feel confident it's like a such a
relaxed driving position you can really write these things for hours at slow
speed and low rpm everything works flawlessly the quick shift up and down
same thing I've been shifting up and down at all speeds all rpms and it's
been acting flawlessly I mean we're 3,000 rpm right now any
shit like butter look at that if it's not like some of the quick shifter that
you've gotta be open throttle full blast in - shit probably this quick shifter
really does wrong I have to admit PSP displays are cool and all but the analog
rev counter always gets me what strikes me is that the bike is really balanced
like I seldom really feel the urge of putting my seat down when I come to a
stop is very stable
I know they don't previous model the the usual complaint for the s1000xr was
vibration I sincerely don't feel all the vibrations people obtain that despite
hell you have an inline four engine with 165 horses that makes 10 noise I tried
out at multiple rpm and multiple speeds on the freeway and whatnot I can really
it is the motorcycle if I pray but it doesn't have the annoying buzz there's a
previous model used to ask now on those wide sweepers and moderate speed the
bike is laser sharp it feels like riding a spiritual scalpel suspensions are very
very good I mean we're talking about BMW here is not we're not talking about
somebody that doesn't know what they're doing motorcycle wise the brakes are
powerful it's enough to stop 165 horsepower bike and at the same time
they're very easy to modulate it's not one of those bike where you have on and
off type of braking you can modulate the brake power very easily when you
downshift you get some pops from the exhaust system creature kind of cool so
all in all this bike is really easy to ride fast it's really easy to ride slow
and in traffic if you're looking for adventure on pavement and you come from
a background of crotch rocket this is probably the bike you want to be looking
at I'm not gonna I'm not gonna say that this bike is good at doing it all I
would never take this bike off road this is not an off-road bike by any means now
would I recommend this bike absolutely it's a fantastic bike
when you're riding this bike never forget the DS engine is the same engine
that is in the s1000 double are just retuned and for anybody that drove
there's 1000 double are they absolutely know a menthol and at the same time I'm
not all inspecting super relaxed so don't get fooled by the more comfortable
position don't get fooled by the race angle bar and wide and apart don't get
fooled by the fact that your reads are not hurting this is a proper for spy
when you wanna wish it's just as easy as downshift and open but for it is way
apart from Rider mouth apart from electronic suspension this bike will
ride exactly how you want it to ride you wanted to ride nice and easy nice and
slow it will do it without complaint he will not stutter it will not shake it
will just do it you want to ride a little bit more spirited on wide long
turn and lean it without actually leaving yourself around these bikes will
actually do it with no complaint you want to write like a maniac
you want to ride it like if this is a super bike this bike will actually do it
with no complain at all the engine will respond however you want him to respond
the suspension will respond properly for every situation this is just a great
bike
and to conclude the reading portion of our review let's take this beast on the
freeway let's see how well does it do and how comfortable it is cruise control
and now that I have the cruise control on I can actually start talking properly
like any table you should talk no need to have my hand busy holding the
throttle I can actually use my hands stop as in senses and when I get tired
or when I get colder I can just put it back on the toasty feet a grip if I want
to deactivate the cruise control I can touch any lever including the clutch
like I did right now you don't have to pull on the brake or whatever lever you
touch the bike will disengage the cruise control the bike is very comfortable
even on on the freeway I really feel like I'm right this bike for our over
hand I mean right now is 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon
I've been going at it since 11 o'clock and I feel pretty good we're averaging
right now 34 mph a gallon with an average miles per hour of 39 miles an
hour 5500 rpm and despite does not fall any more or any less than on any other
pie at 5500 rpm the Sun has been playing I didn't seek with us but nevertheless I
was able to take the bike out and make a full riding review now the bike is being
fantastic he's super fast is very comfortable and it looks great and for
all those that looked down to this bike the only thing I can say is this
now tell me that that is not a great sounding engine and it goes even better
on the street so I really like this bike a worked incredible is some fun in the
twisty I rode it for about 400 miles or so and never a pain as you guys can
probably imagine one of the things I loved about the bike is the engine
fantastic engine all throughout the old S family has 1000 R as 1000 Double R and
s1000xr the engine is just an absolute joy other than that they're gonna mix I
was super comfortable and not that cold at all even if the Sun was going away
then coming back I even got some rain on me I pretty much love almost everything
about this bike the only thing I really don't like about this bike is the rear
light the thing in the back I wish they had the regular headlight back over here
would have been so much better I can't really find anything wrong with a bike
mind you are you only at it for a couple of days but still I'm really trying to
think hard what I don't like about the bike but nothing comes to mind on that
note if you have something you don't like about this bike go down in the
comment below and leave a comment once again 1 million time thanks to the guys
at BMW motorcycles a Riverside that are making all of this possible thanks for
giving me the bike for a few days thanks for letting me drive this bike
and if you guys are looking for a bike like this go check them out and as
always there give you a great deal if you want to support the channel go get
yourself one of those fantastic albezia TV shirt if you like the video like if
you loved the video and you want more review subscribe and I'll tell you what

We Just Found Out Fat Cells Can Move! - Duration: 6:04.[♪♩INTRO]
Of all the cells in the human body, fat cells might get the most hate.
Their main function is to store fat molecules.
And while that is a very important job, a lot of people kinda maybe wish they didn't
have quite so many.
But it turns out that fat cells, or adipocytes, are doing a lot for your body -- maybe even
more than scientists ever imagined.
Because this week, a trio of British biologists reported for the first time that fat cells
can move.
Oh, and also it turns out they help heal wounds.
The study, which was published this week in the journal Developmental Cell, was done on
fruit flies.
But the team thinks fat cells might do something similar in humans.
The researchers were interested in how fruit flies repair their wounds, and there were
some hints that fat cells could be involved — like weirdly big shadows that showed up
under a microscope.
For these experiments, they used lasers to make small wounds on the underside of fly
pupae — I know this seems kind of mean — that's the stage just before the fly is fully grown.
And to keep track of which cells were fat cells and which were other types, they turned
them different colors.
Then they recorded what happened next under a microscope.
Almost immediately, large fat cells started traveling to the injured area to plug the
hole, usually taking about an hour to get there.
Then they basically turned into, like, a fat version of a band-aid, forming a tight seal
on the wound that would keep bacteria out.
The fat cells also worked with the flies' immune system to remove dead cells and any
other debris that was hanging around.
And if the researchers infected the wound
on purpose, the fat cells released antimicrobial peptides, or small defense proteins, to fight
them off.
Seeing fat cells help heal wounds was weird enough.
But really, the strangest part was the fact that these cells were moving at all.
Researchers had always assumed fat cells kind of just sat there.
But here was a cell swooping in to save the day.
It gets even weirder, because the fat cells weren't moving the way most cells in an
organism do, which is by sticking to other cells and tissues and kind of pulling themselves
along.
Instead, the fat cells seemed to be entirely on their own, changing their shape to propel
themselves through the flies' liquidy insides.
Basically, they were swimming.
Now, the question is whether we also might have a bunch of Michael Phelps-like fat cells
in us that mobilize when we get hurt.
Obviously, there's a lot going on in flies that's different from humans.
We have much more complicated clotting systems, so it's unlikely fat cells would serve the
exact same purpose in us as in flies.
And hopefully not too many of us are suffering from laser wounds.
But there's some evidence that fat cells in mice also pump out these antimicrobial
defense proteins, which could bode well for us.
And frankly, no one has looked very hard to see whether any fat cells are moving.
So, it could be just a fly thing, but it might not be.
And maybe you should be thanking your fat cells, instead of wishing they were smaller
or less numerous.
Speaking of size:
In another paper published this week — this one in Nature Communications — a group of
French and Brazilian virologists reported discovering two new giant viruses.
Giant viruses are still microscopic.
You're not going to spot any crawling around in your basement.
But compared to the rest of the viruses on the planet, these things are huge — they're
more like the size of bacteria.
And so are their genomes!
Since both of the new viruses were found in Brazil, the researchers named them tupanviruses,
in honor of Tupã, the thunder god of a local indigenous group known as the Guaraní.
One came from the mud of a soda lake — a type of lake that's super salty and has
a high pH.
So as tasty as it sounds, you probably don't want to drink it unless you enjoy bleach with
a side of salt.
The other virus was found in deep ocean sediments off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, dug up by
a helpful submarine robot.
Under a microscope, the viruses look a bit like fuzzy light bulbs with extra long screw
sections.
They can grow to more than 2 microns, or millionths of a meter, making them one of the longest
viral particles on record.
Now, usually, viruses have just a handful of their own genes, because they mooch off
their hosts for everything else.
Influenza A, for instance, has just 8 genes, and HIV has 9.
Their entire genomes are made up of less than 15,000 nucleotide building blocks.
But these tupanviruses have genomes that are a hundred times bigger, with about 1.5 million
of those building blocks making up a whopping 1300-1400 genes.
Even more impressive is the content of those genes.
Tupanviruses have more genes dedicated to synthesizing and assembling proteins than
any virus we've ever seen, including roughly 200 other giant viruses.
Which is surprising, because part of what makes viruses dependent on other life forms
is the fact that they rely on their hosts for that very job.
Now, tupanviruses still can't string proteins together on their own because they're missing
a few key players.
But almost all the pieces are there.
The question is, where did this strange set of genes come from?
One possibility is that giant viruses started off as some kind of cell, and then lost some
genes over time to become a virus.
But it could also be that they started off as smaller viruses, and grew bigger as they
picked up genes from various hosts.
Scientists are hoping to figure out how giant viruses evolved by comparing their genomes
to other viruses and other organisms.
The tupanviruses give us a bunch of new data to add to the pile, but they aren't enough
to give us the answer own their own.
We'll need to find more giant viruses to figure out what really happened.
So here's to more digging!
