Kindle marketing secrets we're gonna talk about it come on hey guys it's
K-Ninja here welcome to the channel we're an underground Kindle publishing channel
much unlike those other channels and if you haven't already subscribed and hit

self-publishing is all we talk about and if you're here it means you're into
self-publishing otherwise what are you doing here get out of here go home and
today we're going to be talking about Kindle marketing secrets and I'm going
to reveal to you one of the biggest highly guarded secrets in Kindle
publishing regarding the marketing aspect of things so if you're at all
wondering how you're going to market your book then you're gonna want to
watch this video straight through to the end because what I reveal may forever
change the way that you look at marketing on Kindle now one of my
students came to me and he said Kay ninja I release my book in paperback and
it hasn't been selling but I put up a video on Instagram showing an unboxing
of my paperback book and after releasing that video I got four sales and he was
like I owe those for sales to social media why don't you teach social media
in your course now I kind of laughed because this was the first book he had
ever released because when you release a paperback it takes about a week for it
to link to your Kindle book and sometimes createspace doesn't link it
for some reason and you have to contact them and get the thing linked manually
and also it takes a week for all the Dean of the propogate so that different
distributors have access to your book and so putting that video on Instagram
did not instantly spur sales of your book you put that video on Instagram a
week after you release your book it was just the timing of things it just
seemed to you that putting that book on Instagram calls your book to start
selling but that wasn't the case it actually had nothing to do with your
video how do you not put a video on Instagram your book would have been
making sales anyway social media has nothing to do with it
and I never engage in social media in trying to market my book now it's true
if you have a big presence on social media and you tweet to your people or
you post on Facebook that you just released a new book I'm not gonna say
that it's not going to lead to some sales because it may but if you don't
have something like over 10,000 followers that avidly follow what you do
on social media and are deeply interested in works you put out like a
book then probably your sales are not coming from social media and if you
question that or if you're in disbelief then I would urge you the split test it
to prove me wrong now these split test it well you release
two books at about the same time and for one of them you go on social media and
you tell others about your book and then for the other one you don't go on social
media you don't do any of that and if you know this not much of a difference
in sales then you can kind of assume that social media had no bearing on
anything and I have split tested this thing on multiple books and the end
results for me we're that social media had no bearing on anything now if you do
know this a large discrepancy on the sales of your books where the one that
you promote it on social media had lots more sales then you may be onto
something maybe it did affect your sales but I wouldn't go ahead and draw that
conclusion because I might have had to do with
something else so I would recommend that you do another split test just to be
certain now you might ask if I waste my time split testing this stuff then
wouldn't I be losing money whereas I could be launching those books properly
but if you don't want to waste your time split testing this stuff then all you
have to do is listen to what I'm saying and what I'm saying is social media will
have no bearing whatsoever if it all it has some bearing it's gonna be very
minimal because I've already done this split testing and I'm telling you that
social media has almost zero to no bearing on the sales of your book and
I'm telling you that social media will basically do nothing for the sales of
your books with or without social media your books are going to be selling
anyway and this is actually one of the most little-known but biggest secrets
kept quiet in the book marketing space there's all these different companies
that are trying to sell you their book marketing service and want to lead you
to believe that it's gonna make a difference on the sales of your books
they either want to sell you software that's gonna automate your tweets or
Facebook posts or just straight up sell you some marketing service that's gonna
run you hundreds to thousands of dollars and you'll be largely disappointed by
the end results of that because the truth of the matter is that there is no
service that can promote your book better than Amazon the whole purpose of
putting your book on a platform like Amazon is to leave the marketing to
Amazon you don't need to do any marketing Amazon will do it for you the
whole industry of trying to sell marketing services to self publishers is
basically a very ingenious scam and they don't want you to know that what they do
for marketing will actually not have an impact on the sales of your books now
I'm not gonna say they'll have completely no impact you might make a
sale or two it really depends on the service that you use
but for the most part it's not going to make enough of a difference that it's
worth the cost to pay for one of these marketing services so I highly recommend
that you stay away from all marketing services and you don't promote your book
on social media now if you're publishing your book under your own name and you
just want your friends and family to know about it then sure let your social
media circle know about it tweet about it make some facebook posts but don't
expect it to make a big impact on the sales of your book social media alone is
not an effective book marketing strategy now like I said if you're some famous
big name with lots of followers I'm talking tens of thousands hundreds of
thousands or even millions and those followers trust you enough to basically
buy whatever you tell them to buy then yeah post about it on your social media
it's probably gonna have some impact in that case but if that's not you then
don't waste your time with social media and don't waste your time with other
marketing services because you're just gonna be throwing away your money and if
you're currently spending a lot of money on book marketing you've got to stop
that just stop paying for it if the service isn't getting you reviews in
some way you don't need it it has no effect on things it has zero effect you
want to know what has an effect on things Amazon's free book promo a
standout cover reviews the keywords that you chose for your book what you need
are more reviews those things are what effect whether your books going to make
sales or not those things will affect whether your book sells or not
over any marketing service out there and if you think I'm wrong well I'm
open-minded about it I'd like to hear about it because if you can suggest
something to me though works better than what I just said then I'd most
definitely look into it but I haven't found any marketing service which would
impact whether my book would actually sell or not but yeah if you pay
attention to the things I said that actually
we'll make a difference in your sales then you're gonna be ultra successful
with that and that's about all I've gotta say in this video now if you want

keywords but what's gonna help your book out more than anything is more reviews
unless all you publish is smut or something in that case you don't really
need to review so much but if you're publishing in any other niche yeah
reviews are pretty much king but there are some exceptions to that and I'm not
going to say that smut is the only exception because I have found some
