Conte wants Chelsea to break Kenedy agreement with Newcastle — report
Transfer deadline day is here and the drama is only beginning.
We already had plenty of it yesterday and earlier this week, with one of the biggest developments being Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's decision to ditch Chelsea in favor of Liverpool, which has clearly left the Blues in a sticky situation.
Conte was supposedly counting on the Ox provide competition and backup duties at multiple positions, with the 24-year-old's versatility a massive bonus that almost justified his £35-40m price tag.
Alas, the kid had other plans, which is hardly Chelsea's fault, though leaving things this late certainly is.
But, there's little use in crying over all that at the moment. Contingencies must be explored and activated, and apparently one of those just might be reneging on the agreement with Newcastle United for the loan of Kenedy.
Chelsea had already delayed this move a couple weeks ago because of depth and injury issues, but there's a chance we now completely cancel it and keep the 21-year-old around as an emergency left wing-back and/or wide forward.
Kenedy got himself into some trouble off the pitch with a couple rather offensive posts on his Instagram account, but after multiple apologies (from both the player and the club), a fine from Chelsea and an official warning from The FA, that matter appears to be settled.
Hopefully the appropriate lessons have been learned.
Immediately after the incident, Kenedy's Chelsea future looked all but done for.
Now, thanks to our transfer market foibles, he may stay with the club after all (even if, it must be said, he needs to make some great strides before we can consider him a decent left wing-back).

Next-gen Rolls-Royce Phantom spotted - Duration: 4:06.
Next-gen Rolls-Royce Phantom spotted
The Rolls-Royce Phantom, pinnacle of the brand's luxury line-up, is a particularly long-standing model. The nameplate dates all the way back to 1925 but the current generation – the Phantom VII – has been in service since 2003.
A thirteen-year stretch, relatively unchanged, is no mean feat for a modern automobile – and it's indicative of the thought and effort that went into the Phantom in the first place.
Drive one today and it'll still feel suitably upmarket and worthy of the brand, with only the dated on-board electronics really revealing its age.
Rolls-Royce, however, has decided that it's finally time to retire the ageing Phantom – despite its ongoing popularity with buyers – and replace it with an all-new car. So, this is the 2017 Rolls-Royce Phantom… VIII?.
Correct. Rolls isn't giving it a cosmetic overhaul and a few tweaks, either – this is reputedly all-new car. Predictably there are no shocks on the styling from, with its lines aping those of its successful predecessor.
The camouflage hides some of the minor details but what is evident are far more modern-looking headlights and tail lights, and subtle tweaks to its panels.
The real changes are under that familiar exterior. Rolls-Royce itself has said that the eighth-generation Phantom rides on an all-new aluminium platform.
Although the outgoing Phantom itself uses an aluminium platform, over a decade's worth of engineering and material developments should grant a significant reduction in kerb weight – aiding performance and handling, the latter being a little moot for a Phantom – as well as granting potential improvements in refinement. .
What's going on inside? . So far we've only one shot of the new Phantom's interior. You can't miss the new widescreen displays, one of which replaces the conventional analogue instrument cluster.
A shame, perhaps, given that a high-quality physical gauge is a far more visually appealing object than a virtual representation of one. Time will tell, though; perhaps Rolls-Royce has some tricks up its sleeves.
It's interesting to note that the BMW parts bin continues to be raided; see that (presumably temporary) steering wheel? That's a current BMW part, although the column shroud and other switchgear appears to be bespoke. What engine will the new Phantom use?.
A BMW-sourced V12 is earmarked to continue providing the motive power, although it may well be the newer twin-turbo 'N74' – as found in the Ghost – rather than the long-serving naturally aspirated 'N73'.
When will we find out more?. The new eighth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom is expected to go on sale in 2017. Expect a standard wheelbase and a long wheelbase version initially. Coupe and drophead coupe versions may follow.

Jag-wagon: new 2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake spied on test
Weeks after official confirmation of its existence at the 2016 Paris motor show, today we can bring you the latest spy photos of the new 2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake estate.
Our photographers caught the new Jag wagon during high-speed testing at the Nuburgring circuit in Germany, ahead of a likely debut in spring 2017. Parent company JLR has a test facility at the Nordschleife and routinely tests its new products there.
What do we know about the new 2017 Jag XF Sportbrake?.
CAR magazine's new spy pictures confirm the XF estate will follow the blueprint set by 2012s Mk1. Jaguar global sales director Andy Goss said: 'The new XF Sportbrake is just as handsome and just as practical as the previous one.'.
Do you agree? Be sure to sound off in our comments section below. The prototype exhibits a long, tapering rear end, suggesting that Ian Callums design team have prioritised Jag elegance over outright practicality – which is very much as expected.
Wholl buy the XF Sportbrake though? With the F-Pace crossover now selling strongly, Jags betting on a rump of buyers who prefer a wagon aesthetic. Jaguar XF Sportbrake engines and specifications.
Engine-wise, expect the new 2017 XF estate to mirror the line-up of the saloon. That means a range of engines like this:.
Rear- and all-wheel drive will be offered, and additional engines will arrive in time. Trim levels are expected to follow the Prestige, R-Sport, luxurious Portfolio and sporty S spec levels set by the existing range.
Will there be a hotshot R model? You bet. Expect to see the high-performance XFR Sportbrake in 2018.

The best all-rounder around? VW Tiguan R spotted - Duration: 3:53.
The best all-rounder around? VW Tiguan R spotted
The appeal of the perfectly serviceable and entirely dull Volkswagen Tiguan could be about to increase considerably – because this recently spotted prototype suggests that a full-fat high-performance R version is in the works. Isn't this just an R-Line?.
At a glance, it does look that way. However, our spy photographers report that this mule was far louder, and far quicker, than any Tiguan they'd seen previously.
There are a few visual clues that this isn't just an R-Line, either – see that exhaust system? Reminiscent of the Golf R, isn't it.
Couple punchy performance with the Tiguan's practicality and ease of use – plus that tall, commanding body style that myriad buyers needlessly lust after these days – and VW could certainly have a popular package on its hands. So, how powerful will it be?.
If it's the usual parts-bin VW affair then we'd expect the Tiguan to feature the EA888 TSI petrol from the current Golf R. That would grant the Tiguan R 296bhp and 280lb ft.
We can't imagine that VW would offer a manual version, although stranger things have happened; it's most likely that the new Tiguan R would utilise a six-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Power will be sent to all four wheels via VW's 4MOTION system, allowing the Tiguan to get off the line smartly and making it far more appealing to those routinely hacking around in poor weather. Why launch a hotter Tiguan?.
There will no doubt be a few customers out there looking for a quicker version of the brand's practical SUV – and VW does have a history of upping the ante with its off-roaders.
Let's not forget that, for example, it dropped a V10 TDI into its steadfast Touareg.
Launching a Tiguan R will also provide VW with a rival to the upcoming Seat Ateca Cupra which, for all intents and purposes, is the same car with a different badge. Can't have the cocky Spanish brand stealing sales from its master….
When's the Tiguan R set to arrive?. This prototype appeared to perform very well but, given that nothing else obvious appears to have changed, we suspect it's only a powertrain mule. The brakes, for example, look like standard Tiguan affairs.
That said, VW will likely have all the parts it needs on the shelf – so with a few cosmetic tweaks and upgrades elsewhere, the Tiguan R could be good to go. .
Consequently, assuming there are no major hurdles to overcome, we'd expect the Tiguan R to make its first official appearance next year. Besides being of interest in its own right, it'll likely draw some attention back to the regular Tiguan line-up, too.

A Tree Free America - Duration: 5:05.
Trees have been on the planet for far longer than us humans have and much like
an annoying older sibling who is yet to move out they take up space break things
and well this is hopefully not like your older sibling they kill over a hundred
people in the United States every year and I now I understand most of you will
think that there are plenty of good things that come along with trees and I
will agree however I think the bad greatly outweighs the good I think they
need to go and I implore you to listen to me for just a few minutes of your
valuable time on why the US should rid ourselves of these bark bound blights the
first point I will touch on is one for those who fancy yourself to be a man or
woman of solid facts none of those emotions for you
trees in the United States have killed over 100 people every year which that's
based on if the Pioneers and all those people who constantly surrounded
themselves with trees and built their house said of them didn't kill
themselves more frequently which is not likely but that's still over 24,000
people who died since the founding of America that's a pretty high number in
fact you're over 200 times more likely to be killed by a tree than you
are a shark which means trees are 20,000 percent more dangerous than sharks but
we have them everywhere so I'm gonna ask you this do you still think my claim is
crazy that we need to get rid of trees I'm gonna continue on to my second point
which luckily for those in the non Vulkan persuasion is one that
effects something closer to home money money makes the world go round as they
say but how am i connecting removing trees to earning green you might ask
well friends what is resource that we can sell them many nations gaining a big
export it can also be used for power and construction which is good but something
great is the sheer amount of jobs this undertaking will bring since the job of
cutting down trees wouldn't require many certifications so people who don't have
a job can get a job not to mention we could use the opened up land to build
crop farms wind farms solar farms even livestock farms I like
farms which the employees could migrate to after finishing the job this could
solve a slew of problems for the US nay the world if they followed our example
so I ask again y'all still think I'm crazy removing trees would also reduce
damaging to houses and property in general trees have cost untold millions
and damages from springing leaks in your pipes with their roots to ruining
roadways for week on and months on end while the city fixes them to even
crushing falling down and crushing your brand-new cars that you work so hard to
buy you worked overtime lost time with your kids and now it's smashed perhaps
forever if you don't have insurance get your insurance kids that last one was a
bit of an over-exaggeration however you get the point
trees can be destructive but they can be more than that they can be annoying
trees cause all sorts of problems with falling on your field of view and
driving and every autumn they get especially obnoxious by dropping their
leaves on your lawn along with a few spare branches so you have to go pick
those up on your hands and knees so you don't ruin your lawnmower sorry but if
we simply remove the root of the problem I think that we would have no issues
of this kind but if you think that leaving these detriments to our
infrastructure that inconvenience millions of Americans every year it's
just fine you're free to think that way now as much as I would love to
continue to bash trees and tree huggers those who claim I'm barking up the wrong
tree that it "wood" be wiser for me to "leaf" the issue alone I need to "branch"
out with my solutions forgive me with all these jokes I need to get them out
while they're still relevant I will admit that they've got some points to
their side of the argument the main point the one that we are all taught in first
grade being that trees produce oxygen the lifeblood of the world but I don't
think that you know how much oxygen tree really produces trees excluding
rainforests produce less than 2% of the oxygen in the world with the vast
majority produced by marine plants at seventy percent and twenty eight percent
at rainforests leaving all other trees on the planet to produce less than one
fiftieth of our oxygen not even factoring in that we're only
talking about American trees which while they contain 8% of the world's forested
lands don't even contribute a percent of the world's oxygen very few other points
such as shade are valid in these modern times where we can just build them
unimaginable things by people a hundred years ago so I leave this to you if
you're fine with believing it this as it is I suppose I just wasted your time and
I'm sorry for that however if you want to get up and help make our country
safer richer and better then I suggest you go out and help this movement
flourish by informing others are the benefits of a true free America starting
a petition for your city or even giving a monetary donation to my foundation
however do not just go chopping down trees without proper permissions
