Chelsea news: Danny Drinkwater hands in transfer request to force through move

DANNY DRINKWATER has handed in a transfer request at Leicester to force through a move to Chelsea.

Antonio Conte has been keen to bolster his midfield options in the final few days of the transfer window.

And Drinkwater has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.

The 27-year-old was a key member of the Leicester side that won the Premier League title in 2016.

But Sky Sports claim Drinkwater has now handed in a transfer request to join the reigning champions at in west London.

N'Golo Kante left Leicester for Chelsea last summer and became the first player to win consecutive titles with two different clubs.

And Conte is keen to bring Drinkwater in to link back up with Kante at the heart of Chelsea's midfield after Nemanja Matic left for Manchester United earlier in the summer.

Some Chelsea fans have been critical of their club for chasing Drinkwater, but Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes he has the ability to make an impact for the Blues.

"That season when they won the league with that magnificent season - yes Kante was the outstanding player and Riyad Mahrez was very near that but Danny Drinkwater really came to the fore," Wright told Sky Sports' The Debate show.

"Not just the way he helps snuff things but also going forward.

The Girl Who Sees Smells is a 2015 K-drama with a lot of unique storytelling elements to it.

The story focuses around two characters: a wannabe comedian (Shin Se Kyung) who can literally see scents and an aspiring detective (Park Yoochun) who has lost several senses, including the ability to feel pain.

While this sounds like a setup for an interesting rom-com, the shows true plot centers around a disturbing series of murders committed by a psychopath (whos a little closer to home than you think).

The drama not only features an appearance by Kwang Soo but the whole Running Man cast, as they play out an imaginary dream scene in the female leads head.

If youre a definite fan of the variety show, youll find the cameo pretty amusing; also, if you havent seen The Girl Who Sees Smells, you should definitely check it out! See if you can figure out the criminals identity first.
