Actually, we are born with it.
Nevertheless, there is a problem.
Even though we all possess ikigai, we dont all find it. This is a problem with ikigai.
Some people take only months, others years, while others know their reason for existence since they were children.

In the Japanese culture, its impossible not to be happy when you have found ikigai. Youve found what makes your life meaningful.
As a result, you get up each day with energy and in a good mood.
This is a problem which many people in Western Culture have.
Very few people know their reason for existing. Because of that, they act as if they are on autopilot.
They dont savor life, but live on inertia.
Do you know how to look for your ikigai? Also, do you know if youve found it? Do you know what to do to keep from losing it?.
Pay attention to these tips.
Follow your ikigai.
Even though you may have found your ikigai right now, its important to know one thing: Theres a passion or talent that you havent noticed inside of you right now.
For example, maybe you havent noticed a special gift that you possess.
Maybe you have a talent for motivating your friends.
Then, perhaps your ikigai will turn you into a coach or motivational speaker.
Look inside yourself, which is your objective.
Later, pursue your ikigai in each step you take.
Live in the moment.
As weve mentioned previously, there are many people who live on autopilot.
This is not something that happens to those who know their reason to be here.
The reason to live in the moment is to put aside thoughts from the past and worries for the future.
These are occupying valuable space in your mind.
Try to practice mindfulness or some type of meditation.
Maybe youll discover what gives meaning to your life when you least expect it.
Dont settle, move forward.
At times, we like to take vacations from doing anything.
We simply may just want enough money so we can some day stop working and live.
However, spending and not doing anything that enriches yourself may turn into compete unhappiness with the passing of years.
Dont just settle in to your life.
Dont settle for a mediocre job that doesnt fulfill you.
Also, dont settle for relationships that dont fulfill you. Make an effort, improve yourself, and move forward.
You have something to offer this world, so dont waste time.

Do what you love.
What do you like to do? Do you like to ski, play an instrument, read, or travel? Do what you love and dont make excuses.
If you dont, you will lose your ikigai and you will have to go back and find it.
At times, the I dont have time, or Ill do it later ,or I dont have the money, excuses help us to procrastinate what we want to do here and now.
Maybe we believe that well get around to doing it some day.
In realty, however, its not like that.
Do you remember that you have to live in the present?.
Take care of your surroundings.
Your environment is very important.
Surrounding yourself with nature, having healthy friendships near you, and being positive will help your ikigai.
Often, we complain and keep people around us who are toxic.
Why? This doesnt do us any good.
Take care of your surroundings and make sure youre comfortable where you are.
Youll notice that everything is much simpler than it seems and that your ikigai is there, around the corner.
Have you found your reason to get up every morning? Its not going to appear out of thin air if you dont look for it and if you dont take the initiative.
Lamenting and frustrating yourself will not help you.
Start to be more positive, take baby steps, know yourself better, and when you least expect it, you will find out why youre here in this world.
