Youtube daily report Sep 24 2018

[ ♪INTRO ]

It's lunch time and you're sitting around a table, chatting and laughing with your friends

as other people pass through the kitchen.

But when one of your coworkers goes to get their lunch from the fridge… it's gone.

Someone took it.

They ask you if you saw anything, to try and get to the bottom of this mystery.

But how accurate is your memory of what happened?

Whether it's a missing lunch or something bigger, eyewitness testimony can be really

important when it comes to crime.

But our memories aren't always so great.

So there are predictable ways that eyewitness reports can become less accurate, and ways

we can prevent that.

Psychologists know that our memories aren't perfect.

We don't recall every detail, like watching back a YouTube video of what happened.

Our brains piece memories back together when we need them, and even the most vivid ones

can have missing or wrong information.

Like what color is the pillsbury doughboy's scarf?

It's blue, right?

No, it's white.

I just put it in your mind that it was blue.

One way memories can become contaminated is when misinformation gets added in, often without

you realizing.

This can happen because of the way a question gets asked, or by listening to other reports

of the event.

A classic study published in 1974 by researchers at the University of Washington was one of

the first to test how the wording of questions affects eyewitness testimony.

Specifically, they were looking into leading questions.

They had 150 undergrads come to a lab, watch a video of a car accident, and then answer

questions about it.

And one key question affected their responses.

Some participants were asked "How fast were the cars going when they hit each other?"

while others were asked "How fast were the cars going when they smashed each other?"

Those who heard "smashed" estimated the cars were going a little faster.

And a week later, when asked if there was any broken glass, those who heard "smashed"

were more likely to say yes when there wasn't any.

So the way this leading question was phrased seemed to affect their memories.

Talking with other witnesses can also muddle things.

A study published in 2017 by researchers from California State University had 289 undergrads

watch a video of a carjacking in groups of five, then report what they saw one at a time.

Two people per group were actually double-agents.

They were trained to say certain things, including the totally false idea that the carjacker

had a tattoo on his neck.

After talking, there was a delay ranging from 5 minutes to 1 week.

Then, participants were told to pick the suspect out of a line-up of pictures.

The longer the delay, the more the misinformation affected them.

In some sessions, the suspect wasn't actually in the line-up of pictures.

After the 5 minute delay, about 29% of people chose a photo of a vaguely similar person

with a neck tattoo, rather than someone who looked a lot like the suspect.

After just 50 minutes, 48% of people followed the misinformation.

And after a week, 60% did.

When the suspect was in the line-up, that effect still occurred.

But people were only misled after the week delay and the effect wasn't as strong.

Confidence is pretty important when it comes to accuracy, too.

We usually have a good sense of how well we know something.

Like, you've probably had a good or bad feeling after taking tests at school.

So for eyewitness testimony, if someone is questioned pretty quickly after the event,

using good procedures, their confidence can actually help predict their accuracy.

But as time goes by, be wary.

The more times you hear something — even if it's wrong — the more confident you

are about it.

The good news is that there are ways to protect against misinformation, like by testing your

memory right after an event by answering questions, without hearing other perspectives.

This improves your ability to accurately recall stuff later… which also works for school,

by the way.

Another strategy is to warn people about misinformation.

Basically, mentioning that other witnesses or sources like the media get some things

wrong, so you should think carefully about where each piece of information in your memory

came from.

Plus, an easy way to increase how much you can remember is to close your eyes while you

try to recall what happened.

It doesn't help every person all the time, but various studies have shown that blocking

out other distractions can help you concentrate.

When it comes to telling whether someone is accurate, there are other clues.

For instance, people who are good at recognizing faces are more likely to correctly identify

a suspect.

And if you quickly point out a suspect, rather than taking a while to think, you're more

likely to be correct.

But it's important to mention that there's no way to be 100% sure.

Eyewitness testimony can be really useful, even when it comes to things like missing

lunches.

But because our memories aren't perfect, it's important to take stock of lots of

different evidence.

Because, honestly, maybe someone just grabbed the wrong lunchbox by accident.

It happens.

To me a lot.

whether photographic memory actually exists.

GZERO World S2E9: The Future (of Global Leadership) is Female - Duration: 21:20.

So many people in different parts of the world have said to me, I don't like criticizing your country.

We really have always wanted to be like America, to be like you in terms of what you stand for.

In terms of the freedom.

In terms of the equality that we see in your society.

And when you don't practice it yourselves, you let us down.

It's here.

It's finally here.

You've waited all year long.

You've heard the hype.

You've prepared your snacks, you're on the couch.

And now at long last the moment has arrived: it's United Nations General Assembly week.

Ok, it's not the Super Bowl but dignitaries and diplomats from around the world will soon

convene in east Midtown for what's been dubbed the world's most important meeting.

So how much does this annual summit matter?

Should you care?

Hi, I'm Ian Bremmer in downtown Manhattan where the traffic's much better –

and so is the food – and welcome to your GZERO World.

On the show this week, I discuss the geopolitical implications of the #MeToo movement with

Georgetown University's Melanne Verveer.

And on Puppet Regime, we go full game show.

Grab your buzzers.

But first, a word from the folks who help us keep the lights on.

The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people

to get together, talk, and have a good time.

So sad.

That was actually a tweet authored by President-elect Donald Trump on December 26, 2016.

And let's be honest: he had a point.

More than a quarter century from the Cold War's end, the veto-wielding members are still

working hard to ensure their rivals can't use the U.N. Security Council to accomplish

much of anything.

In fact, since 1946, more than 200 resolutions have been vetoed by at least one permanent member.

Moscow has 107 kills.

Washington has 79.

London has 29.

Washington and London, put them together, has even more than Moscow but you get the sense.

As some of the resolutions that survive the veto still fell far short of the mark.

Like the resolution to stop violence in Rwanda and Bosnia during the 1990s.

And in Darfur in 2006.

So in today's GZERO World where "risk taking" leadership remains in short supply, what good

is the United Nations?

It's a good week to pose that question because dignitaries and diplomats from around the

globe are descending right here on New York City for the United Nations General Assembly.

Insiders call it UNGA.

The General Assembly is still good for oratory and occasional bits of drama.

This week, President Trump is expected to unveil his long awaited Middle East peace plan

from the U.N. podium.

He'll also be presiding at the U.N. Security Council, a rotating role that falls to the United States this month.

Trump will grab this opportunity to warn about Iran and the no good it's up to across the Middle East.

Then Iran's President Hassan Rouhani will take the stage for some finger pointing of his own.

The speeches will conclude, the applause will be polite and not much will change.

In other words, Trump's tweet makes some sense.

But that's not the whole story.

Beyond the headlines and the handwaving, agencies of the United Nations are filling a crucial need

in the GZERO World.

They're going to places and taking on jobs that the great powers want no part of.

They're helping real people.

They're investing in the future and they're doing it on a very big scale.

Peacekeeping operations in Africa, South Asia, the Balkans and elsewhere limit conflict in

hard-to-govern places that Security Council members want no part of.

The U.N. refugee agency helps millions of refugees.

The World Bank provides grants, credits and low-interest loans to help poorer countries

build the roads, ports, bridges, schools and hospitals they badly need.

The World Food Programme – funded entirely by donations – has distributed 12.6 billion rations –

that's billion with a B –to feed 80 million people in 80 countries.

The World Health Organization is at the frontline of health crises, but it's contributed to

dramatic reductions in infant mortality, the deaths of mothers during childbirth and

death rates from HIV and malaria.

UNICEF, the U.N. Children's Emergency Fund, treated three million malnourished children last year.

It provides access to safe water, education, vaccines, and mental health care for millions of kids.

The bottom line is that in a world where so many countries are building walls, where shrewd

politicians offer an "our country first" approach to the world, who else is going

to do all these things?

Earlier this year, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres wrote a letter to

warn member states that the U.N. now faces an unprecedented financial shortfall.

Budget cuts are coming, he wrote, unless member states step up.

Why is this happening?

Too many member states, including some big ones, are late with their dues.

Whatever governments of the wealthiest members think about U.N. values, they should recognize

value in an institution that's willing to help manage conflict in the world's most dangerous places.

They house and feed so many refugees, they ease so much misery, and they invest

in a safer and a more prosperous world.

And now to Office Hours, where I take questions about all things geopolitics from real people –

people just like you.

Recently, my producers went out to Madison Square Park in New York City – that's like

right there – to find out what people out there want to know about geopolitics today.

Hi, I'm Naviv.

I'm just wondering, what is the scariest thing in geopolitics today referring to human rights?

Hi Naviv, and thanks for that.

For me, I guess the scariest thing is the combination of advanced technology and Chinese authoritarianism.

If I think about the fact that today China is truly a technology superpower –

and in fact they're leading the world in things like big data because the citizens have no presumption

of privacy, and voice and facial recognition – it means that if you're a Chinese citizen

and you're even thinking about protesting, the danger to you and to your family (because

the Chinese government has all that surveillance capacity) is greater than it's ever been in history.

For the last several decades, there was a belief that as China got wealthier they would

need to become politically more like us or they'd fall apart.

The people would revolt.

Today, that looks like a dream.

And I think that the combination of technology and the Chinese government system is really

concerning for the advancing of human rights in the world today.

What's our administration's latest stance on Putin's involvement in the conflict in the Ukraine?

Marianna, the U.S. administration's stance is divided.

On the one hand, President Trump himself has on record said that Crimea was Obama's fault.

What's he supposed to do about it?

Ukraine is corrupt.

Why should NATO, America and its allies support them?

But the Trump administration — the State Department, the Defense Department, even the

National Security Council – has been very interested in putting pressure on the Russian government.

More sanctions, including directly on oligarchs that are close to President Putin himself,

to try to back them away from what has become a frozen conflict in Ukraine, including Russian

informal troops on the ground occupying a big piece of southeast Ukraine's territory.

Trying to understand why there's this difference between the two has been one of the hardest

things to figure out in foreign policy in the Trump administration.

This week, I sit down with Melanne Verveer, Executive Director of the

Institute for Women, Peace and Security at Georgetown University.

She was also the first U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues.

Today, I'll ask her about the #MeToo movement and the impact of women on foreign policy today.

Let's get to it.

Ambassador Melanne Verveer, thank you very much for joining me.

Oh Ian, it's a pleasure to be here.

Thank you.

We have a world run mostly by guys.

How would it be better if that weren't the case?

I think it would be better in many ways.

Not that women are better than men or men are better than women, but we would be tapping

the experiences, the talents, the perspectives of all of our people.

Diversity is a plus.

Diversity is an advantage.

What we know today is that as women are included in the economies of our countries, those economies

are far more competitive and prosperous.

They're jobs creating, they're GDP growing, they're enhancing inclusive prosperity.

Where women are engaged in politics, they bring a different dynamism to the

political discourse and to political outcomes.

In our own country, we have so few women in our Congress comparatively in terms of percentages,

but if you look back at some of the achievements that matter for us as a country to benefit

women, families, etc., women have come across their party divides – whether it's been

Title IX, which has given all those young female Olympians, had a lot to do with their medals.

Whether it's having a strong Violence Against Women law, whether it's some of the decisions

that have been made in terms of health coverage – it has made a difference.

And so I think we have to reach the point where we understand that progress for women

is progress for society.

It's a benefit to all of us.

Yes, it's the moral thing to do.

Gender equality is the right thing to do.

But it is the smart thing to do as well.

Who are the next leaders, women leaders in the world, that we're going to pay attention to?

Today, you look at Christine Lagarde, you look at Angela Merkel.

It's not a large group of women that are really among the leaders of the free world.

Who do you think, in five and ten years' time, some people you point to and say Ian,

I think you should watch them.

Well you know I don't have ready names.

But certainly there is women's leadership that is manifesting itself today.

You look at the President of Estonia, who is very impressive.

She's young –

Ph.D physicist by training, right?

She's very impressive.

A mayor was just elected in Tunis, Tunisia.

A female of all places.

Tunisia is not in the best of situations economically.

Politically –

Well, politically the most democratic –

It may be the only Arab Spring country that makes it.

And we hope they do, obviously.

But she is somebody to watch because she is from the Ennahda party and so she has to traverse

the social divide in Tunisia.

But if she succeeds and presents that new model of female leadership, I think it will make –

it will make for a very good situation there.

I mean, that is a country where there was an attempt – when they were rewriting the

constitution after their revolution – to take women's equality out of the Constitution.

It became a huge issue.

It was going to turn into women's complementarity.

And it didn't happen because there was such a strong ferment out of the larger society

even though there was tremendous pushback from some quarters.

Yeah, "separate but equal" didn't work very well in the United States.

No, it didn't work very well for us or for anybody.

So, I want to ask you about the Saudis.

Because here's one where on the one hand, there seems to be a real commitment to making

life different for women that have been truly treated as second-class citizens.

On the other hand, very controversial and maybe some backsliding.

We see a lot of women activists that have recently been detained without perhaps a lot of due process.

Where do you see the Saudis right now?

Well, I know that MBS –

Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince.

The crown prince has conveyed the fact that he really wants to bring that society into the 21st century.

Whether the pact between the ruling parties and the Wahhabists actually can be torn apart

so that that can happen I think remains to be seen.

There are some things that are happening there, however, under his leadership that are very troubling.

You alluded to them.

You know, women who were the pioneers, many of them, in pushing for women's right to drive -

which seems not like the biggest deal in the world, yet to emancipate them in that way – are in prison.

Samar Badawi is in prison because she has been a strong advocate for women's rights.

Other women are also there.

The contretemps with Canada is inexplicable to me.

Why he would be so taken aback in the ways that he has been in responding to a tweet

from the Foreign Minister of Canada about human rights and women's rights, to create

consequences about removing huge numbers of students from Canada, starting trade, huge trade –

I don't know if I should call it a war – the removal of their trade that

has happened between the two countries.

It's absurd. So -

Maybe he saw that Trump was beating up on Canada, he just wanted to get on board.

You know, that's actually – I haven't thought about that but maybe there's something to it.

But at any hand it's troubling because on the one hand, you want to root for reform.

You want to really – and so many of the women in Saudi Arabia are incredibly talented,

incredibly smart.

The brilliant fathers who own the businesses have been passing them to their daughters

and despite inheritance laws working things out, so that they are the ones running the businesses.

There's so much potential there but I worry so much about these reactions that –

what do they say?

Do they say that, you know, they're not going to get there?

What does it say?

I don't know.

I think on the one hand, we want him to succeed in terms of reforms.

I certainly do in terms of women's progress.

On the other hand, I'm very worried about what's happened.

There's clearly a push and pull.

There has been international pressure.

I guess bring this back to the US for a second.

Do you think, with all of Donald Trump's problems, challenges in his relations with women,

has that had a meaningful impact in America's ability to make a difference, help to lead,

change the world for women getting included in other economies?

Well, I think the problem is with America's leadership and what we convey in terms of

our diplomatic work, in terms of our political leadership.

Are we standing up for human rights anywhere in the world?

Maybe a statement here and there, but we have depleted and undone so much of that commitment

that we have made over the years.

We are only this great idea.

The values that we espouse.

Now so many people in different parts of the world have said to me, I don't like criticizing your country.

We really have always wanted to be like America, to be like you in terms of what you stand for,

in terms of the freedom, in terms of the equality that we see in your society.

And when you don't practice it yourselves, you let us down.

I ask you precisely because on the one hand, America's ability to lead by example is clearly

conflicted in that environment.

On the other, the diplomats are still there and they're doing their jobs and America's

still spending their money and there's more humanitarian aid from the U.S. than anywhere else in the world.

And the private sector and the foundations and all the rest.

So I'm just wondering you, as someone who does travel all over the world engaging in

these issues, if you really want to kind of thread the needle on America as a force for

change on these issues, you would say what?

I would say America needs to do better.

I would say that, you know, you're right, our diplomats are still in place.

But we have just left the Human Rights Council.

Now the Human Rights Council certainly has had its problems.

Nobody argues with that.

There's large an Israel-Palestine argument.

Israel-Palestine.

You know, some other regionalism that's crept in, etc.

But the reality is, that's the place where so many human rights defenders come.

That's the place that has issues before it today about some of the biggest violations in human rights.

That's the place when it creates the evidence base that oftentimes that becomes the evidence

that brings the prosecutions for crimes against humanity or war crimes.

It's a forum that we should lead in.

When you remove yourself, you can't be the voice for change or upholding the voice for values.

So yes, we have people in place.

But are our diplomats struggling as they might, upholding what they know to be the right thing?

You know, some have resigned because they can't represent a government anymore that

is contrary or their view that it is so contrary to everything that we have espoused or much

of what we have espoused.

So it's not a pretty picture.

Melanne Verveer, thank you very much.

Thank you, Ian.

It's a pleasure.

Now onto a special game show edition of Puppet Regime.

It's just like Jeopardy but with more felt.

Hi folks.

Ian here with a new game show to help world leaders recognize one another.

It's called: Who the Hell is That World Leader?

Who the hell is that world leader?

Exactly.

First up.

This world leader controls more than a billion people and has thousands of censorship officials

who monitor and determine what those people see, hear and read every minute of the day.

Lawmakers in both Europe and the United States are increasingly worried about his global power.

Who the hell is this world leader?

I've been very tough, very strong on China and on that leader right there, Xi Jinping.

Well that may be, Mr. Trump, but this world leader is…

Mark Zuckerberg!

Agh!

Okay, Mark, now you're up.

Yah.

This European world leader is facing unprecedented turmoil within her own governing coalition.

She recently almost lost her job over the question of what her country's relationship

with Europe should be.

Who the hell is this world leader?

I'd like to apologize again for enabling Brexit, so I know that this is UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

Your apologies are worth their weight in data Mark, but no, this is…

German Chancellor Angela Merkel!

Urgh!

Ok Angela, now you're up.

Last one.

This should be pretty easy.

This world leader thinks NATO is outdated.

The European Union is designed to weaken his zcountry.

And that the United States has no moral authority in the world anymore.

Who the hell is this world leader?

Umm, yeah, that is very hard to say but I'm afraid that this is…

That's our show this week.

We'll be right back here next week.

Same place, same time unless you're watching on social media, in which case it's wherever

you happen to be.

Don't miss it.

In the meantime, if you like what you've seen, check us out at gzeromedia.com.

Christian Louboutin Heels Review/Unboxing + STORY TIME! How Matt surprised me! - Duration: 7:42.

hello gorgeous welcome back to my channel I have another designer review

today and today I'm talking about Christian Louboutin I had a couple of

requests from you guys on my last video that I did which was the Gucci belt

review and somebody or a couple of you asked if I had any Louboutins and what I

thought about them so I'm gonna tell you the story about my shoes and if I like

him keep watching alright so these shoes have a really fun

story to them they were first of all my first designer purchase but I didn't buy

them over gift so my first designer ownership if you

will so my very first birthday in LA this was my gift from that and I was so

excited about them because it was always a dream to have a pair of red-bottom

shoes because that's what they are that red-bottom shoes I love them and I just

so badly wanted them but it was never even something that I thought that I

could ever possibly afford like it was just so outside of the realm of

possibility for me so when I came home from work that day I was it was like a

weekday and it was my first birthday here I didn't really know anybody is my

first birthday away from all of my family and friends back home and Matt

set up a scavenger hunt for me and on the scavenger hunt along the way there

were tickets to wicked because wicked was in town in LA and I'd never seen it

before and I was so excited and I thought oh my gosh what an awesome

birthday I thought that like so great and I kind of thought that was it like I

got wicked tickets like it's awesome but no the scavenger hunt went on and then

led all the way to the top at the time where we live we had a guest house it

led upstairs in the guest house and it was a pair of Louboutins not gonna lie I

kind of thought it was gonna be an engagement ring so I was a little bit

like womp womp but then I saw the shoes that I was like huh that's okay I got

Lube batons Oh anyways he bought me my first pair of

Louboutins I have stored these bad boys as if they

came from the store like I have I have kept them like completely mint condition

every time I wear them they go right back in they are neatly stored I even

kept the bow that came on them everything like love them okay so don't

even keep them in their bag I keep them with the stuff in them these are the

traditional black pumps with Juanito but he got him from Saks there the Pagani

plateau and let's see back there the 120s

which is the height of the heel with the combination of this I believe the little

platform which is not much of a platform I have worn them a lot you can see and

did you know that you can actually go and get them repainted the bottoms when

you get them messed up I don't really care about that I care about this this

is what I want to stay red because let's be honest when you're standing there you

want the red to show so these are like my like my very very proud to own these

I treat them as if they are gold because they basically are to me I love them so

much they're the only pair of Louboutins that I own and I love them so much

so here's the thing he bought me I am a size 7 shoe across the board in every

pair of shoe that I wear like every single pair never anything but a 7 so

when he got me a 37 which is a 7 European I never in a million years

thought that I would wear anything other than a 37 well I tried them on and they

were just way too small so Louboutins run small and these are actually a 37.5

so 37 and a half I probably could go up to a 38 which is so shocking because

like I said I never wear anything but a size 7 now 38 is a size 8 so they do run

small so if you are gonna check into getting yourself a pair of Louboutins

make sure that you try them on first because you just never know maybe your

feet won't run that way with mine definitely did I love these shoes so

much I've worn them only a couple of times on my blog I don't wear them very

often because they're not very comfortable I wish I could say that

they're comfortable they're not but I don't care pain is

beauty you know what I mean it is and so I wear them for special occasions only

pain is beauty beauty is pain anyways this I I would suggest getting them

stretched professionally did you know that you can go to your local shoe guy

their cobbler I call a cop I called my shoe guy a cobbler one time to like one

of my friends look like a cobbler like what are you talking about like a pie no

it's that's what a shoe repairman is called but anyways go to your local shoe

repairman and they can stretch your shoes all they have to do is put like

the little things in and they stretch them overnight I think that that has to

do with heat as well and I'm sure there's all kinds of hacks on Pinterest

and stuff but honestly it's not even expensive it's like 7 10 12 bucks to get

your shoes stretched and they stay stretched you don't have to worry about

them going back I get my shoes stretched pretty frequently if I if I buy a size

it's too small but I do need to be stretched a little bit because they're

very very narrow like I have very thin narrow feet but these shoes are so

narrow that they couldn't they could use being stretched but anyways these are my

Louboutins and do not regret them I love them

they sit prominently in my closet in my Louboutins shoebox and I have them on

display because I'm so proud of them and I keep them perfectly perfect and I if

ever these get scratched on here I will not hesitate to get them painted up and

keep them nice looking the bottoms I mean like the bottoms the second that

you wear them outside this is this is jacked up like that's just how it is so

don't ever count on getting a pair of Louboutins and keeping these part this

part red it's just not gonna happen unless you wear it only in the house

even then it's probably gonna get scratched up but anyways I love them I

love Matt for buying them for me seven years ago oh my gosh seven years I've

had these for seven years and they look pretty darn good I probably only worn

them like what maybe somewhere between five to ten times but I love them so

much so I hope you guys enjoyed this video leave a comment for me below if

there's any other designer things that you've seen me wear that you would like

me to do a review on like I have the Valentino rock stud shoes I

a pair of Chanel flats ballet flats I bought those several months ago I have

not even taken them out of the box or worn them because they just feel like

such a splurge and I used to like my Nordstrom what are they called when you

accumulate money not the gift cards but you know notes your Nordstrom notes I

use my notes from notes to pay for those and still it feels like such a splurge

like I banked those forever so that I could buy those shoes and I still

haven't worn them I'm just like I I just I'm a girl you know that didn't grow up

with like crazy designer nice things so even as an adult it's hard to wrap my

head around like big purchases like this except for purses I think because you

use those on an everyday basis maybe I don't know I'm just I'm just rambling

now so anyways let me know in the comments if you want to see me review

any other of my designer things I did make a new Louboutin purchase while I

was in New York so I could share that with you guys do a little unboxing if

you will and also don't forget to visit me on my blog angelo Lanter calm alright

guys thank you so much for watching I love you all so much for blah

The Silent Professionals - What is Sessions working on behind the scenes? - Duration: 6:56.

Hello and welcome, I'm Gina Shakespeare.

There have been some heavy shakeups in Washington

and there are several teams of prosecutors working on various different investigations.

On this episode of Declassified, we discuss a team of federal investigators and prosecutors

who are standing in stark contrast to the special counsel team of Robert Muller

and to the leakers in the FBI.

There is a marked contrast between several teams of prosecutors

currently working in Washington and elsewhere.

One team of investigators has been leaking constantly.

The other teams have been quiet,

only saying something publicly when they are ready to indict someone

or hand the evidence that they've found over to Congress.

For the past year and a half, members of special counsel Robert Muller's investigative team

have been constantly turning to media contacts to anonymously leak details of their probe

of the president and his allies.

All of these leaks have gotten wall-to-wall, breathless coverage

by both newspaper and broadcast news networks.

Reporters and news organizations compete with each other to hype the often vague, contradictory leaks

many of which are subsequently proven to be false.

Or, as the current president prefers to put it, "Fake news!"

Many officials inside of President Barack Obama's weaponized federal government

spent years perfecting the art of what Epoch Times contributor Brian Cates refers to as "strategic leaking."

A strategic leak is when a highly placed government official leaks classified or privileged information

to the media to obtain a specific politicized outcome.

During the course of the past 2 1/2 years, strategic leaking has been used to target,

for instance, Gen. Michael Flynn

and Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.

A lot of what is currently being referred to as "SpyGate"

revolves around government officials using anonymous leaks to place these men under suspicion,

after this, the FBI and other federal agencies could then act to launch investigations

that were based on the media reports for which these selfsame officials were the anonymous sources.

The circular nature of this activity is obvious,

and it's one of the reasons that SpyGate is such a growing scandal,

as more evidence of these kinds of leaks are made public.

In stark contrast to the Mueller special counsel team and the strategic leakers at the FBI

are the federal investigators and prosecutors Brian Cates likes to refer to as the Silent Professionals.

Far from seeking constant attention and leaking to drive media narratives

that can be weaponized against specific targets,

these silent professionals just go about their jobs in the shadows.

You don't even know they are there,

and that's what makes them so lethal.

It was revealed in a bombshell report on Sept. 6 in the Washington Post

that for at least the last six months,

U.S. attorneys have been preparing to prosecute former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe

by presenting evidence and calling witnesses before a federal grand jury.

That caused a furor for exactly five minutes before all the usual suspects

instantly dismissed this news as meaning exactly nothing.

This reaction is a miscalculation of what is actually happening.

Washington has a leak culture.

It is nothing short of astounding that someone of McCabe's stature could

be the subject of a federal prosecution

using a grand jury for over six months,

and the investigation didn't leak.

Highly motivated journalists in Washington have had their ears to the ground for over a year

listening for the slightest whisper of just such a thing as a McCabe grand jury.

And, somehow, a grand jury had been convened

and federal prosecutors have been showing that grand jury evidence for over six months

and not one of these journalists heard a thing about it.

We all need to stop and pause for a moment

and marvel at the sheer professionalism of the federal prosecutors quietly doing their jobs behind the scenes,

without fanfare or public attention.

The Mueller special counsel team should try following this example.

All those media people wailing "nothing's happening" for the past year are wrong.

Plenty is happening.

It's just that the people making things happen aren't ready to tell you

or their targets about what they've found

and what they've really been doing just yet.

Imagine how much heat from TV pundits and radio hosts that Attorney General Jeff Sessions

and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein could have saved themselves

if only they'd told everybody 6 months ago in March

that McCabe was the subject of a grand jury investigation.

Instead, as media hysteria was kept at a fever pitch,

often by media that considers itself pro-Trump, they kept quiet about it.

Does this not tell you anything?

Brian Cates wrote in an earlier column,

every single top person in the Trump administration came into office after the inauguration in January 2017

knowing what they faced in the SpyGate plot.

Trump knew, Sessions knew, Rosenstein knew, and so did Mike Pompeo.

The narrative that Trump and his team came into office clueless about the SpyGate plot is,

quite simply, nonsense.

Trump and his team came up with a plan

to counter SpyGate that involved a lot of deception

and stealth investigations.

No matter what you think about that plan,

or how you feel about it,

whether you think the strategy is right or wrong,

Trump had his reasons for doing things this way.

As Lee Smith has been pointing out in his own excellent way,

nobody can stop Trump from declassifying all the FISA warrants on Carter Page

or any of these other SpyGate-related documents.

So if he's waiting and biding his time, he has his own good reasons for doing so.

In the end, it comes down to whether you trust Trump or not,

that he knows what he's doing.

RAINBOW ARCADE - Testimonial by Zoyander Street - Duration: 2:27.

My name is Zoyander Street.

I'm an artist researcher working with games and computers

I've recently been using lo-fi game engine pico 8 to make little

abstract interactive portraits of trans people in Japan

using dialogue that's taken from real-life interviews

and I am very excited that those works are going to be included in this exhibition

although there are plenty of nostalgic

collections of retro games

for various reasons it's not often easy to find

work by LGBTQ creators or featuring LGBTQ content or other marginalized works

within these collections especially when so many of them

are the private collections of people

who are kind of part of a hobbyist community

so catalogs like this one are going to be absolutely vital

for making sure that the history

of LGBTQ games is more visible in the future

for people who are starting to research games history.

looking at a lot of the working games history that's

based on fan collections it's very easy to get the impression that games history

has been kind of linear so maybe there were no indie games at all and

then there were some and then a lot more and maybe at some point there were no

women in games and then things gradually got better over time

it's a sort of game-like narrative of history

that suggests that as a culture we are leveling up in

terms of our representation and diversity

but I think the more closely

you look at games history the more you find that's not the case

and that the reality is a lot more wiggly

and that this work has always been done

but it hasn't always been visible for various complex reasons

so work like this is

vital to making that wigglyness visible

so that we can see history a bit

more complexly and appreciate the work of people who have otherwise being

ignored up until now

Your Kalamazoo Wings! The First 45 Years - Pam Shebest - Duration: 18:37.

My name is Pam Shebest. There are tons of players that I would be remiss if I

started naming them because I probably forget like the goaltender's George

Ganyan. I remember was such a character Joel Martin obviously has been here

forever. Marty Turco who was assigned here by

Dallas was quite the quite the goaltender and he was a fan favorite. His

jerseys always went for a lot of money when they have the auctions. There are a

lot of the players a lot of the ones who settled around here especially the Kevin

Schamehorn and Neals Moores those types. I actually did have an interest in the

K Wings. I was a French teacher and White Pigeon High School and I had

season tickets to the K Wings. Bob Wagner covered the first 11 years of the

Kalamazoo Wings and when he retired they were looking for someone to cover hockey

and tennis and since I had season tickets I thought hmm get to see these

games for free and I play tennis and so I thought perfect job and I was lucky

enough that they did hire me.

I started in 1985 and I was a full-time at the Gazette covering them for 25

years and then I retired and then I was a freelancer for five years until they

decided that they would not go with freelancers anymore they would use the

press releases so it's been at least 30 years and now I write feature stories

for the Kalamazoo Wings website which is much more fun than covering the games.

When the teams were on the road I went a lot at first especially the first 10 or

15 years they played the Muskegon, Fort Wayne, Flint, Saginaw, and they were pretty

close for road trips some of them I enjoyed a lot more than others the

what's interesting to see the way the fans reacted to the different team the

visiting team the away team and then to see how different it was when they came

to our barn and as the K Wings always called it when I first started covering

the K Wings there was a bit of a discussion on how we would do the

interviews after the game at first they said we don't know that we want you in

the locker room and I said I really don't want to go in the locker room I

smelled like a room stew before and I said no that's quite all right

and we decided that there is a place right outside of the locker room in a

hallway that I would ask four different players who would come out and I would

interview them then the good thing is most of them were taller than I are all

of them were taller than I and so I could just look up I didn't have to look

you know act I could just look up some wore towel some more

they're actual jerseys and pants and some just kind of streaked by but as

long as you're looking up that's fine.

Probably the best one is obviously the Colonial Cup championship Bob Wagner who

covered the wings before me have got to cover two championships and I always

gave him a hard time after he retired and said wait you had two and I have

none and then 2006 they won the Colonial Cup and we went to all the away games

there that the K Wings I mean they swept all the way to Danbury Connecticut and

my husband and I decided to go to Danbury because they had a chance of

actually winning the Cup there I was sitting in the press box next to the

Commissioner Richard Russell at the time and he said are you going and I said

well yeah so he said are you flying or driving and I said no we're gonna drive

and he said we need someone to take the Colonial Cup to Danbury now I'm going

okay so then he said would you consider taking it and I said well let me talk to

my husband so we talked about it and we decided that yeah we would take it

unfortunately I think it was Muskegon had won the Cup before and somehow

misplaced the crate that it was in so we got out of packing one of those packing

quilts wrapped the cup in it put it in the trunk had to wear gloves and white

gloves to handle it and I said to my husband every time you park back in so

no one can get to the trunk and then we took it to Danbury went in told them

that the cup was there guy came out I said here are the gloves he says plus we

don't need gloves through the quilt off grabs a cup and took it in and it was

wonderful watching them win there it was it was magical it really

was and the interesting thing was coach Mark Reeds at the time was all by

himself I tried to track him down for quotes and he was in a room all by

himself. I said why aren't you in the locker room

drinking the champagne and smoking the cigars and he said no I said this is the

players time they're the ones that won it and I want to let them have the time

to enjoy it so that probably impressed me more than anything. It was those

players got along so well I mean after a game you could go in the locker room win

or lose they would be talking to each other they'd be high-fiving they'd be

working out together they encouraged each other off the bench it was really

like a family it really was and I credit Mark Reeds with that and Nick Bootland

at the time was the captain and between the two of them they really had a homey

atmosphere a family atmosphere and some of those guys were characters it was fun

it was really fun in Danbury they had a very vocal section that I

guess was notorious among whatever league it was in before and Dan Barry I

have to say before we got there one of our editors decided it would be a good

idea for our sports editor to write a really you know we're going to trash the

trash first type of column and Dan Barry was supposed to do the same thing well

our sports editor did what he was supposed to do their

theirs took a leave of absence and so someone who never covered the team

actually wrote a very nice article and when we went when I was at the arena I

actually had security they put security with me so that the fans wouldn't do

anything to me to harm me I guess even when I went in to talk to interview some

players I had a security person with me and they were the one section was I mean

I don't know I don't even know how to how to describe it and they were really

Joel Martin and I credit him so much with the job he did in spite of hearing

all the slurs and the names that they called him and it was an experience. I

think over the years that hockey in general has improved

I think players are in much better shape they take care of their bodies a lot

better nutrition wise they work out all summer back in the 80s when I first

started covering the K Wings a lot of times players would come out of shape it

would take them at least a week to get back into shape so they can now they

come where they step right in as if they hadn't stopped playing at all

I think the equipment is a lot better I remember back in the days when most of

the players did not wear face shields at all or any kind of shield there were

still a few players back in that day that didn't have to wear helmets they

were grandfathered in so you could see them flying along with the hair but I

think just in general that the conditioning and the equipment are the

ones that have improved the most. I think the fact that first of all 45 years is a

long time and there aren't many franchises that can say that the fact

that Ted and Martha Parfet owned the team for so long is unbelievable there

are very few franchises that could ever say that if you look back actually

there's only been three owners in the 45 years the Parfets for two years

Keith Decker then the Parfets brought it back and then went into partnership

with Bill Johnston and the Greenleaf and then

they eventually took it over so I think that's one of the things and the fact

that it's a small arena it's one of the smallest ones around it's very homey

people who come here from out of town mention that there's not a bad seat in

the place and that they actually feel like they're part of the action because

they're not way up in the nosebleed section.

Keith Decker well Keith Decker owned the Madison Kodiaks of the United Hockey

League and when Parfets in 2000 Dallas and the K Wings could not come to an

agreement on another affiliation another year of affiliation mostly money-wise

and I mean it actually cost a lot to be a franchise of an NHL team and so things

kind of fell apart and then Parfet decided to just retire the booster club

went out and had a pep rally saying we won a hockey team we won a hockey team

and Keith Decker heard that or found out about that at the time he was looking to

move his team to another venue and so he decided then to move the Madison

Kodiak's to Kalamazoo Mr. Parfet decided to let him use the name K Wings

and that's how it actually got to be he would travel to all the home games from

Madison Wisconsin and it got to be pretty much of a travail for him to do

that and so then he Parfets bought it back and then went into the

partnership one of the one of the funniest things that ever happened when

I was covering the Kalamazoo Wings was Mel Angelstad who was a fan favorite he

was a fighter usually in the locker room with their

lockers or where they keep their things they have their first initial and then

their last name and for him M format for Mel Angelstad didn't fit so his

ended up Mangler and so that's kind of his nickname but he was the enforcer we

were playing Fort Wayne at the time and Eric Boguniecki who was a young player

who actually ended up in the NHL but with Fort Wayne was much smaller than

Mel kept irritating him and trying to get him into a fight trying to goad him

into a fight so finally Mel just turned around and kissed him smack on the lips

and skated away and Boguniecki got a roughing penalty and Mel got an

unsportsmanlike conduct and was eventually suspended for a game and

after the after the game I talked to Mel and I said I've got to ask you about

that kiss and he says well he was so so small that I don't that I decided to

tell him just to kiss off that for we'll always stick in my mind when I think of

Mel and there was a referee Sam Sisko every time he came fans would cheer him

they would he was stunned and he would be ahead of a referees where he would

look at the referees and after he retired and grade them on their

performances and I often asked him what he thought when he came to Kalamazoo and

he said it blew his mind because it was one of the first times he'd ever been

cheered and it was so different and there was also a linesman named Luigi

Cortese and fans loved him he was a small Italian looking you know kind of

like a Mario type of guy and he had a great voice and he'd sing the National

Anthem before the games and fans would go nuts over those two and those are

probably the only two officials that I ever saw the fans not give a hard time

to when the Kalamazoo Wings affiliated with the Minnesota North Stars then

eventually that split up into the San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars

Kalamazoo affiliated with Dallas and eventually changed their colors from the

red white and blue to the green white black and gold that came with a lot of

controversy among fans a lot of fans did not like it and then Mr. Parfet was

such a team player that when the IHL was expanding they

asked him they thought Kalamazoo was too small of a market so they asked him if

they would change the name to Michigan K Wings which he did which I

personally did not like and I think I came out with a column that mentioned

that I thought that it wasn't very good because it lost its identity Michigan

could be anywhere a lot of people thought then it was Grand Rapids but

eventually then it came back to the Kalamazoo Wings which made me very happy

and there was actually a female who played with the K Wings played one game

her name was Molly McMaster and she got the OK from the league the UHL to play

one game with five different UHL teams and she was there for colon awareness

and the funny part of it was what she was actually good she practiced with the

team before the game for a couple days she was a defenseman with a New York

woman's league and one of the giveaways was a little type of enema but it was

like a fuzzy bun like a almost like a bobble head gave it out but she's the

only female that ever played with the K Wings in their 45-year history

probably one of the worst stories there were two really bad stories that I just

was heartbreaking for me to write and one of them was when Adirondack was in

town in 2006 their coach Mark Potvin committed suicide at the hotel right

near are fairly close to Wings Stadium and the players were stunned to say the

least the game was obviously postponed but to

do the story and to talk to people involved or connected with and Mark

Reeds was the coach at the time touched him very

deeply a lot of the players were touched very deeply and that was that was a hard

story to write to try to give him kind of the honor he was due for being such a

great coach but also then for committing suicide the other hardest one was when

Mr. Parfet died and just all the memories that people had you know

talking with them reliving all those moments and thank goodness he got to see

a Colonial Cup the year before he died so that was especially special I was it

was a media Media of the Year award I was which was really a surprise and was

very special I was very very surprised I was the first female to receive that

award and there have been other since but that kind of came out of the blue to me

and also then I was given the Al Genovia I also received the Al Genovia

Award for distinguished service I guess to hockey in general and Al was a

great guy and I have done several had done several interviews with him and so

that was also very special

BTS Delivers Inspiring Speech To Youth At United Nations: 'Find Your Voice, Find Yourself' - Daily N - Duration: 3:31.

BTS just made history again. They became the first K-Pop band to ever speak at the United Nations on September 24, and their speech, read by RM, was beautiful

Watch the full speech here!    BTS is unstoppable. All seven members appeared before the 73rd assembly of the United Nations to deliver a message of unity and love at the "Generation Unlimited" ceremonial event

Kim Namjoon (aka RM) spoke for the group, speaking about the issues they, their fans, and all young people in the world, face today

""I want to hear your voice, I want to hear your conviction. No matter where you're from, skin color, gender identity, just speak yourself

Find your name [and] find your voice by speaking yourself," RM said in the group's breathtaking address

You can watch the full speech in the video above! And read his full remarks below:    "Thank you mister security general, UNICEF executive director, and the excellencies and distinguished guests from all across the world

My name is Kim Namjoon, also known as RM, the leader of BTS," he began. "It is an incredible honor to be invited to an occasion with such significance for today's young generation

Last November, BTS launched the LoveMyself campaign with UNICEF built on the belief that true love first begins with loving yourself

We've been partnering with UNICEF's End Violence program to protect young people all over the world from violence

And our fans have become a major part of this campaign with their actions and their enthusiasm

We truly have the best fans in the world."  You hear that, ARMYs? BTS is inspired by you

RM spoke about his childhood in Ilsan, and how he dreamed about saving the world one day

But as he grew up, he began to experience self-doubt. "In the intro of one of our early albums, there is a line that says, 'My heart stopped when I was maybe 9 or 10

' Looking back, I think that was when I began to worry about what other people thought of me and started seeing myself through their eyes," he said

"I stopped looking up at the night sky and the stars. I stopped daydreaming. Instead, I tried to jam myself into the molds other people made

Soon I began to shut out my own voice and started to listen to the voices of others

No one called out my name, and neither did I. My heart stopped and my eyes closed shut

" JASON SZENES/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock  "I have many faults and I have many more fears but I'm gonna embrace myself as hard as I can and I'm starting to love myself, gradually, just little by little

" Are you in tears? We are. We're so proud of these guys and all that they're doing for the world!

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider - MOVIE (Tomb Raider 2018)

Jona you there

Shit

Joe and I have here just

a little stuck a rock up in my leg

No, I'm right on Trinity's tail, I don't want to attract attention

Beautiful

Laura

Wow

Get a load of this place

Guess all that research paid off now. We know what Trinity's after. Yeah, they really didn't want us in here

Glad we followed your father's notes

I

Saw where the passage collapse on you back there want me to take a look at that wound? No, I'm fine

What is all this

Constellations this inscription. It's some sort of riddle pink fish fish silver crowned mountain

As a date here

Something's off

It looks like it was damaged. Perhaps intentionally

Why would Trinity sabotage this we usually just destroy everything

No, I think the damage is older

You had him drag me out I still be in there taking pictures

We'd still be in there. Don't know if you'd be doing what she turn

Hey you want to freshen up me group at the cafe

Dr. Dominguez is supposed to be that at night. It sounds good

I'll try and decipher the riddle see if the day isn't anything to do with it, right?

Pink fish silver crown Mountains. I'll look into it. By the way this cafe supposed to have really good

I know the chef

There is

And I think new and dr. Dominguez not much

He's leading a few Trinity digs in the area. My father mentioned him in his journal more than once. He's an expert on pre-colonial ruins

Everyone says he's a great guy

big help to the town

So, how's your leg?

Sherlock

The riddle

Its directions to find the hidden city go south along the shore until you find the pink fish. I found something for that

It's pink dolphins found only in the Amazon

It goes on then chase the heart of the serpent to the Silver crowned mountain

Look at this

It's the constellation Hydra the serpent. This star is the heart

It's set in the southwest so Southwest's from the Amazon River

Brazil

This date from the ruins see if you look closely is damaged

This number looks like a Mya 13, but what if it's really an eighth?

procession it would

Procession

the earth tilts so over time these stars appear in a different place in the horizon important if you're navigating by the night sky

Thank you in the Maya calendar. That's a two thousand year difference back. Then the heart of the serpent set directly to the west

So that's why it's improved not Brazil

Eternity has been looking in the wrong place exactly. We need to look for the silver crown mountain in Peru

There's more of something about a key

What is Trinity you're looking for in the hidden city?

Show me

You heard that too right see right guys

Wait, hold on Trinity's watching this place. Let's try to blend

Trinity's people are armed. I heard they brought in reinforcements

I'll stay out of their way you want to avoid what happened with the last cell? We took down?

They must know we were at the other site

So much for a night off

Why did you mean guys go?

You can't be far. You must be in the courtyard somewhere. Yeah

Let's look around

Someone must know something

Good be sure I'm not followed

I think I can find another way over the wall. I'll take care of these guys

Hey fellows, how you doing? Good. You can't come through this way. I heard there was

It's not for tourists

Don't look like

I

Wanted to make like an offering. What's that thing you do with the blankets. All right. You know what?

I can see you guys are busy my own wish anymore your time. Y'all keep on truckin

Someone set off the trap at the first sight wait what's wrong I want confirmation

I'll make sure we get visual confirmation

Has got to be more to these Romans

Amaya pyramid inside some sort of cave

Know

How Ida hot you

You work for Trinity, what did they find

Well, they've been searching for a temple entrance for many years today. They found it. I

Have to go warn my sister. She's on her way here. Now. I

Know this figure he shalt the goddess of the phone

Oh, and this is Shaq show the new

Scription

Shock, shell the key lies beyond her gaze key

This is it

The entrance must be down there

The carvings on this my a monolith are far too deteriorated to read

Jonah

Jonah there's a mural here

It shows a box

Inscription says the silver box of a show that must be what's in the hidden city. This is a Meyer myth

It says the box will summon the god Kukulcan

Wait, there's more looks like a series of cataclysms a

tsunami a

storm

and earthquake

Volcanic eruption

Well in my belief Kukulcan is the god of creation and destruction

Hmm this looks like the hydra constellation but the stars seem out of alignment

Jonah I found a dagger

There's an inscription the key to ISIL heart unlocks the cleansing

We can't let rentee get hold of this

She's killing our people copy that target sighted

Stop don't hurt her

Lara Croft

This isn't the way I hope with me

You know, I've been interested in your work

Trinity always is

The Kiev sash

Sacrifice my life for this

Where's the silver parts of Asia give it to me it's in a safe place

You don't have it

He's never occurred to me that you would just take

With this ski and the silver box we can remake the world

without witness protein

And certainly with none of this

But without the box

The apocalypse the death of the son

You're lying

Dharam

You felt it when you took the key tremors are common

But tsunami is coming and this is the first of many catastrophes you're doing you would have done the same

Yeah

By taking the king you sickening solution, do you realize the tragedy you have amazed?

Fencing has begun Paul stood Nina stumping in court construes assault

Jonah

Jonah Laura

I'm sorry, I

failed

What what do you mean?

Dominguez he has the daca. I lost it

After everything to my father went me reggae Trinity exactly what they wanted

He'll use the box and a knife to remake the walls to remake it into what I don't know anything to get rid of

Sin, and weakness a man like that way

We have to stop him. It's all my fault

We'll figure it out. Okay, I promise no no. No, we have to get to the hidden city before Georgie

We have to find the silver ball

Okay, but first we're gonna help these people get to safety and then we'll go after the bomb

No one is nice not if he gets the box first, I have to go. I'm the only one the only one that get what?

You don't know that you caused all this Laura not everything is about you

These people need us here. We can do good now

Besides how what do we got to go on a riddle?

We're gonna need more than paint fish and silver crowns to get to the hidden city

I'm going to help these people and then I'll find us play

I think we're looking for a volcanic Mountain

The crown of silver is probably a band of clouds

I just can't get those people back there out of my head. You lost everything

The riddle says

chase the heart of the serpent to the silver crown mountain where the twins confer I

wonder what the twins are

This storm looks like bad news. It's just a little rain

We'll concentrate on the cloudy mountain

If we find it, how do we know we have the right one?

Gut feeling it's our only clue

The mural says there'll be more disasters the best way we can help them is to put a stop to it and Trinity

Okay

But how do we really know

Jonah what I felt when I took the darker, you mean the tremors of the tsunami more than that? I

Felt like I woke something up. I

Know that it's not practical. I know that it's hard to believe but you need to trust me

We have to trust each other

Hey, I might have something over here really

That's it

I don't like the storm. Should we come back in the morning? We're so close. I

Guess a little turbulence wouldn't stop turning either

Regale is there any way to land? Yeah, I can put you down near Quantico. Let's go

Good night monkey

What are you doing

Why didn't I pack all my equipment together

Please Croft anyone come in Miguel. Where are you?

Oh

Rico you too

Hey, you know what happened in the Gila you didn't make it

What's wrong with your arm

Some sort of parasite. I was looking for some more wood, but doesn't grow around here. Let me see

Oh, hey, what are you doing if we leave it in there alone and get worse?

sit

You sure, you know what you're doing oh

I

Had something similar happened to me when I was a child in Egypt. I

Wrote my it's gonna hurt

You think that storm from earlier was the storm the one from the mural

I

Think maybe we should stop and take stock

We've been pushing so hard forward

Flying into that storm. I didn't think it was gonna be that bad. Well, I should have insisted we turned back I

Mean I get it

You lock onto a problem and everything else just disappears

Jona I hey I'm with you

It's my choice

most of the time

but if we die

Who stops the cataclysms who keeps Trinity from doing what they want?

Sometimes I feel like I have to keep going and if I don't then I'll just let everyone down

But maybe for the sake of a few hours we could have turned back

Maybe we should give him a name. Okay, you like my cousin he's always trying to get under my skin

Goodbye either

Thanks

We should go if we can find Kohaku we can rest for the night sounds good

About the cataclysms the apocalypse we can get through here

Guess we go through here after you

What's that I

Think it's some sort of zero

Help me with this sure

What is it a

Recipe seems to be a mixture of herbs

Could help if we run into any more jaguars, let's hope we don't we out is over here

Jonah help me with this

On three two one

Are you okay help me Minnis?

Your back looks bad

I'm gonna go make camera

Let me take a look at that

It's not pretty

You know with everything we've been through recently I've been thinking about my brother I

Always tried to protect him from my father from himself

But I lost him you did everything you could

If I have been in the right place the right time

would still be

If I had highs in the back of my head you can't protect everyone

Hmm thank you. I

Miss him. I know

My parents I miss them to

Hate a dream about my mother recently. Yeah

When I was little my father used to keep things from me

Hide things about her especially why would he do that?

After she died he thought they'd cause me pain

It didn't stop me from looking for them, of course I

Still have so many questions

Your dad created as many mysteries as we solved

Dominguez said that he would use the silver box of a shell to

Remake the world if you had that power

What would you do?

Panic probably you and go back to when your brother was alive and be with him again

And

Lose everything else. No way I

Like this world it's

It's not perfect

But everything I love now is in it

To claim her treasure the adventurer Lara Croft's must outwit the king

Reach the forbidden tomb and solved the mystery of the White Queen

The way fraught with trials

The adventurer should not dally any longer in a minute dad

What does Loras have to do with any of this she's in her room doing her homework she

Hasn't much time

At last she spots away in below to have to be careful

What do we do these stupid things

Oh

Is now at last she enters the forbidding to

By night the great Beth stole the Queen at 30 north and 90 East from her pen

She wrote her heart with light

Unlock her love's release. I

Wonder if the White Queen is lonely

With life unlock her love's release

Great batsman

With light unlock her love's release

Her heart pounding our hero crosses the threshold into the unknown

These are mums things

The path was dark and his darted night back Cedric night

The White Queen regarded him with a curious smile and said

I'm afraid of bats. I'm afraid

Tell me about this you me of writing the t-rex and agent where's Eddie

You are always on the verge

What obsession is destroying this family?

I love see you are missing your daughter's childhood because you're always in some too on the other side of the world

Why can't it be happy with what you have

Good feel that

What do I dad

Morning

There's a road, let's check it out

What's going on sheet2 20 get out damn

All I'm I need

What are you doing get back hide

Your the logistics guy, aren't you

You're right don't you check back there and I'll do it

I

Want this whole area sealed off? Yes, sir. There's anything here. We're gonna find it. It's quiet. What's your team doing?

I'll check we're not paying them to sightsee. I'll have to go undone

In there I'm afraid if we move it. We'll lose it

We're gonna have to reinforce the bridge will be tough to find something in a brace against why didn't you test the bridge like that?

Maybe think about that we can take them. All right

You go left I'll take these guys

Hey Sammy

I told them to test the bridge first son of a hey. Hey Sammy

Oh

No, you don't

Thanks, hey you okay. Yeah take this

Nope that's Alaska I see people down there. I'll let you do the talking

No

Hi

Do you know if there's a place nearby or stay for the night?

How'd you get so deep into the jungle you lose your tour group or something no

There were some guys here before looking for artifacts you with them Trinity definitely not

I need a break anyway come with me

Oh

I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but the only B&B in town is my place

Well, it can't be too careful. By the way. I'm Jordan, Abby Lauren

Come in have a seat

Got a loss three

So

What are you here for exactly well we were following a riddle when our plane went down you mean it crashed? Yeah

And you just walked out of the crash

Who knows who's in pretty low

We are looking for Maya ruins Maya, you know, you're in Peru, right?

Yeah a long story

Thanks

Well, you don't seem like a typical

Archaeologist oh, she's the archaeologist. I'm I'm just a cook

Really? Yeah, have you tried any of our local ceviche yet? It's a specialty

Not unless it grows in the jungle. Oh

Don't tell me you missed our famous fish trees

Where did you take this?

Mexico why well, I've seen this symbol before

Wow

There's some ruins nearby and a small rock with something like this carved on it. Do you mind if I take a look around?

Yeah be my guest but I guarantee they're not Mayan my people were Inca and proud of it

Why don't you rest for a while you should I've promised you a day off

Well, I'm not gonna say no to that have fun you two

Hey looks a lot bigger on the outside, what'd you do China look?

I shall and Shaq. Shall the twins come together

What is it

Laura what have you said not to break anything. I'm not breaking it. I'm restoring the original

Someone was trying to hide it the

Twins come together before following the path of the living

It's been tampered with

Like that thing in Mexico this must lead to the next clue go I'll stay here see what else I can find

Sounds good

The twins life and death

Jonah I found the temple Great

Trinity already, they're trying to blast our way in I'm gonna take a closer look

Grave robbing and I would say we go

The photo from Cozumel, maybe that's a clue

What in the final number of the shack shop

It

Jonah

Hey Lara, it's Abbi. Oh

Hey, Abby, I found a mural. It seems to pick some kind of journey

Entering through a Jaguar mouth follows a serpent toward a silver eye ha ha on the way

There's a spider and an eagle that rises toward a temple. Okay, I don't know about that. But the Jaguar mouse is back this way

Really

Interesting

I still can't

Hey Amani you

God what is happy where the creatures killed them. I don't have enough space without Jonah a beaten

Impossible. I thought I saw something

Trinity is being hunted by some kind of creature

It made hissing sounds and moves so fast

Lara that sounds like a legend of the fish taco you

Know I know what I saw

Yeah, I'm on my way back

Jonah we're downstairs

Hey, have you been down there we'll win for you

What do you think we'll find

the mural showed a series of trials

I may know another way around. Okay, I'll go ahead and meet you on the other side

Jonah if you can hear me, I think I'm still on the path at the spider trial. I'm gonna get to the top

Incredible Jonah I met the next trial the eagle it has something to do the wind

Still standing after centuries of earthquakes and storms

Got it

Her account face-to-face and their temple built in your honor

Paragon face to face and his hand built in your honor

Jona I'm past the Eagle trial I must be close to the hidden city

Got to be more careful

Can't see here

Hello I

Can help you get watch you don't belong here I

Know it hurts

Thank you

Who are you what's your purpose here? I'm a researcher Lara Croft

They'll be back we must find safety bring her

You're not only my son you're my heir

You must know court unnecessary danger

Had you not been there with this woman have found us

I'm not you safe

If you're not with the cult, how did you find this place I

Followed a map from a temple I was expecting ruins, not you or any of this

The cult why did they attack your son?

I

Recognize that insignia I know the Miss Trinity. I'm trying to stop them

Stop them from doing what?

They're looking for an artifact some sort of box connected to a moon goddess

Why do you want it just steal it so

No, I just call it Trinity the cult get to it fast they're too dangerous

Why why have they done to you they killed my father

Can I show you something do you know what this is?

This is my titty you're already here

ITT hidden city or what's this? Hi?

That is a place of death and sacrifice

And you think your artifact is there

Yes

None who has gone has ever returned

I'd be willing to try

You will risk it simply to stop the cult yes

Bring him in

Jonah are you okay? Do you know this man? He's my best friend Bobby

Who else is looking for you, there's no one else I

Believe we're seeking the same thing

We will bring you to the serpent with a silver eye, but we'll keep your friend here

You won't get very far for your line, and he will not be comfortable

You don't need to do this. It's fine. I'll stay

It's Li get this one with some clothes would you keep him company I'll be back as soon as I can

This is incredible

Will you treat please I have barely made enough to offer in tribute tribute to who the cult of kukulcan of course

They demand half of all profits earned on market day. But if they think I tried to short them I

Understand Thank You. Ishiki. Will you trade then?

Impossible I can't carry any more

You have made an excellent choice my friend may the gods smile upon you

You are here during a busy time friend the Tanners the butcher's the weavers the dyers even the teachers all the

Districts are preparing

The market will be busy. Great things are on the horizon for the city and its people

We all must do what we can to help Kukulcan are sure in a new world

Beautiful

Impossible I can't carry anymore. I

Make my way all the way over to him and he tells me we can't barter said I had nothing he wanted imagine that

Surrounded by garbage and entrails and he thinks he can talk to me like that. Well, he just

What is this

cultist waiting for their daily to appear

When the catastrophes come the god Kukulkan must be sacrificed to power the son. Otherwise the world dies

sacrifice a god

The sacrifice is my duty

But this co-leader will take my place and attempt to become the god

He believes we can remake the world in living a paradise of his design

remakes the world

What I've heard those words before

They're yes

You know him as dr. Mingus

Behold

The instrument of our unity and salvation

Soon our dreams of peace and safety will be realized

They already call him Kukulkan

But his real name is Amaru

he was born here, but

race

lied to you by outsiders

the people believe in him

But you don't

My late husband sayyidi was his brother

They had differences over the future of paititi

when Sayyidi died Amira devoted himself to the cult

You have seen the store

You are worried about worse to come I ensure you that by DT

With persevere and thrive forever

I know him

If I might Oh successful all of us who disagree will never see this paradise. The rebels will be discarded

Not if they don't find the box

Yes

Our best hope is to find it first

Perhaps a motto might still be brought to see love in reason

Just do the outsiders wretched user will come how can enough

We must strike while the snake is within reach

Justice will be met in good time. Do not jeopardize your rebelling for the sake of impulse

Let's go scout ahead. We'll meet you at the edge of the mountain last warning

Follow its lay your clothing won't hide you learn from these cards. Okay. I'll find the box

You're being warned to keep the peace I was just out for a place and stroll with my son

Omar is losing his patience it won't happen again

Jonah can you answer?

Dominguez is here. He's the leader of the cult of kukulcan. That's what new nerado's rebels are fighting

She's been here for years pretty controlled paititi

I'm going to the eye of the serpent. We have to get the books before the next cataclysm hits

Where is my mother? She's settling matters between the guards and her Khan

What's it like outside by Devi?

Well a lot of things it's a very big world bigger than by kati

Bigger than one hundred pie T T's what?

Will you take me there? I think your mother might have something to say about that

What you're looking for is in there

How will I know when I found the right chamber by the smell of death?

If you survive you can find your way back through the old irrigation system. I'll meet you there

Be careful the code often patrols there

This must be what Trinity is missing

There's the little rebel Prince

Hey, come on

Are you okay?

No

Basically dead took my dice and no one believes me, but he took them a dead man. Took your dice

Are you sure you didn't lose them? Ah?

You're as bad as the rest of them. I'm sorry. You're right. I'll tell you what

I'll pay very close attention. And if I see Pisco the dead I'll ask for your dice back

Really do you believe me?

It won't be the first time the dead seemed to speak to me. Oh

No, Roger

That's Lee's been captured. I know

They're holding him at the barracks. We're working on a plan to release him. I tried to get to him. I'm sorry

He's a warrior

What's that

This is a key it looks like him looks like you belong to the mountain temple

It is adjacent to where they're holding him

He's the box of HL connected to the barracks is that why they called occupy the temple

Is heavily guarded?

When we going it has to be sudden silent. Is there a back way?

That there was want by the salt mine, but he has deteriorated it stretchers. I might be able to manage it

Perhaps you did survive the sacrificial pit I

Haven't been back inside since I was a child, but from what I can remember the barracks are within an inner stronghold

If I can get in through the back way I can clear a path and let you in

We will free actually then go find the box

I'll take care of myself you go after the box

Hey Laura, you have a minute come over if you have time

What you and I were talking

well

You chew what's on your mind? The day of Headley's coronation is approaching soon

He will be a man and take the first steps towards becoming by TT's future king

Oh, that sounds like a day to look forward to it's the hope for that day that keeps a lot of us fighting

Oh mighty one is cold

Sometimes we all need to remember what we're fighting for. Is there something I can help you with?

My Nestle's father Saira died when there are two bestowed the honor of surrogate father unto me

One of my duties is to gather three sacred items for the ceremony

But but with all that's happening right now you aren't able to you. What are these items?

Near the saviors amulet the champions bow and the king's horn each a blessing from the ancestors of the future King

Tell me what you need and I'll see what I can do

I already have men retrieving the amulet and bow

But if he could find Kabila the instrument maker and get the Kings horn from him, it would be doing us a great favor

He's been difficult. I sent two men and both have failed. Perhaps you could talk to his wife

I think I can manage that be mindful qabil can be pretty sometimes but Abra his wife has a way of turning his edges

They tell you kill el chico Alcala shana tova my love in luck

Come to Nisha called Columbus

Mother would you get him out of here?

Jona fine, they got him out, but una rata was captured

Yeah, I'm going after the box, I don't know how long it'll take Thanks

Didn't enter

These figures they look like those creatures, but they're graceful

Yes, she'll goddesses of protection

The silver box of his shell was forged in Paradise and brought to by

That those creatures make the Box

Neither false gods nor zealots shall be allowed to pass

They're protecting him is that why they fought me so viciously

Here they keep the box until the sun's renewal

And I clip saharan like the tattoos on her no notches on

Rise the books

I can use these to climb out of here

Maybe they can provide support

Do you have it it was a trap the books was taken and

Une arathi was captured

We heard we're working on a plan

She's being held at the prison by the old temple a con that a raid and was taken to

Will charge the bridge and leads to the prison?

It's aggressive

What if I climb up here free her and then signal to attack

That could work

Let's leave scouting the temple in the upper district

You could find your way in I'll go talk to him. We'll have backup ready once you get her out sounds good

For strength and safety. Thank you

I'll get her out

Have more rebels been captured

Shiki maybe. You can help I sent five men to steal the cult of cool guns weapons for the rebellion

But the mission failed in former times, I would have led them myself

But now I can't fight. I can't even run or else I start to cough a blood, but I'm still a good planner

I was till today my comrades were caught instrument post throughout the lower village as a warning

You're going to hang there until they die

You said I might be able to help

Yes with your serpent cart attire. You can untie all four of them and no one will suspect you

Fool, you said there were five men on the mission

There were coal key was leading them, but he wasn't captured along with the others

Nobody's seen him. He's probably being killed

I'll see what I can do

Lara your serpent garden disguise is good. I

Discovered the passphrase for the prison were there holding my mother innocent eyes will blink had done when weakness falls away

Understood we'll get her out at flee. There's one more thing

Hakan has been captured

He's my friend Kiana's dad if he sacrificed

I'll see what I can do

I'm sorry, aha. Please don't hurt me who only wanted to say goodbye to my father

I'm not gonna hurt you Kiara. I'm with the rebellion

Your friend actually told me I should help you he did yes, so why don't you tell me what's happened

I told him that nothing would bring her back, but he didn't listen

He tried to kill Kukulcan and now he's going to die and I will be left all alone

Hey, it'll be okay little one. Maybe I can help

Really? There are other rebels here in the square. They want to help as well, but they're too scared. Maybe you can convince them

I'll do whatever I can Kiara. I promise you I won't let them take your father from you. Thank you. I'll

Call me Lara

Remember who you are? I am one of you

Yeah

Is that why you had me arrested?

If my brother was alive rest his soul. Yeah, he will think this bickering is a waste of time

Come home I

Am

This is home

Who Naruto dream for a moment how will by DT prosper when Dawn comes in a world without threats coming from the outside

Aren't you such a threat?

Remake the world

We all create destiny together as we are

Everything I've ever done has been for by DT

Everything when it was divided by unified it I

Am the only one she's the real threat here you come and go as if your life here is optional. Yes, I

Have lived the outside world and I have seen what's to come every day it encroaches

Paititi will not survive its invasion

Everything we are will be taken or destroyed. Well, then we must fight for it together

according to the will of its people

By restoring the Sun hmm

That will only ensure by DT safety for a moment, but then

It doesn't protect us from discovery

Invasion our destiny is to be doomed no

No, we we must be bold

Decisive

Act with me I need your intelligence your resilience in my world

Our world will buy the cult of GU Colton

What should I say Trinity

If it's control you want you can have it just

Help me now ensure by DT safety and then by all means you can govern it as you wish. I will give you the throne

Who'll do it?

I will find the box and restore the Sun

May its light be your judge. Why do you think so little of me?

Take her back to her cell

You can send me back but I will never betray our people no you will just fail them

The box is gone

A missionary under sloppy's he stole it 400 years ago

What you just wasted your life searching in the wrong place

Leave me now

The box is not invite TT, I know I

Will be forced to join the muddle

Everything at what force inside his death will be lost. I won't let that happen

Come on, let's go

We're out of time

Someone needs to find that box

If the Sun is not recharged or the world, we made all of us will be destroyed. I found another clue

Maybe

The tattoos on your arm at the Heron and the Eclipse the same

What

What does the symbols mean?

This one shows my destiny the crimson fire of Chuck Jim

And this one groans my past it symbolizes Chincha chica the last true emperor of ITT

His tomb is in the upper district, can you take me there?

They're all over that tomb if there's anything there they would no doubt have found it already

I know who doesn't have this clue. He doesn't know what to look for

It'll be dangerous, I'm sure

There's no time to waste

How he said to me safe he helped me find you he should be without you now
