Which is a "V" hand going up your throat

NiSi Filter: Unboxing and First Impression Review - Duration: 12:53.

Hello everybody.

I have good news for you.

I've got a little unboxing and it's going to be about filters.

I have NISI 100mm system filter holder kit.

I bought also 2 ND filters, and graduated ND filter.

Plus, from MindShift, it's a Filter Hive.

So without further ado, let's do it.

Here are the filters.

That's how they came.

Very nicely boxed and packaged.

The filter holder came with a manual, I can put it aside.

And ND filters came with manual and with the chart.

And also, graduated ND filter came in this box with the manual.

So this one can go down.

And let's go starting with the filter holder.

The filter holder came with 3 step rings: 67, 72, 77, and it's mount is 82mm,

on the holder.

Here is how to do it.

The kit came with circular polarizer, and that's how it goes.

You just take the circular polarizer and just screw it on, you don't have to over tighten it

It goes nice and slow, and hold securely.

Next, what you do, I have here let's say 70-200mm 2.8 lens with 77mm.

I can grab the step ring, and screw it on, you don't have to over tighten it,

it's very snug and secure.

Then you take the circular polarizer, and you just simply screw it in.

Like that.

What I like about this system, it has circular polarizer is right away the closest to the lens

And also, on the back, here if you can see, there are little circles, what you can easily

spin circular polarizer and get to the position where you want.

So that's how it looks.

Another thing comes filter holder.

Filter holder on the back side, has a little 2 grooves, and spring loaded pin.

So what you do, you just hook those 2 notches here and just snap it and it's on.

It's a very good system, and it's very nicely made.

What I like about this filter holder kit, is the price.

The price was so far the lowest of other competition, and also circular polarizer is closest to

the frame, to the lens.

Next thing is the material.

Whole thing: step rings, filter holder, and the front holder kit, is everything machined

aluminum.

It's strong and it's sturdy.

Operation is very smooth, and as you see, this back ring goes perfectly.

One thing what I was thinking about it, I was kind of hoping, if I have only ring

on the lens, I can't fit any lens cap.

I was hoping to have ring like this all the time on, plus lens cap, it would be very useful

and especially in the cold conditions.

It wouldn't be problem, just to switch like this.

You know, you have this one on, you just go here and it's going to be ready to go.

That would be perfect.

But too bad it's, you have to do it if you want to protect your lens, this way.

But I love this system, so far the price is amazing and the filters, even ND filters,

and other filters, are glass.

So that's a big big plus.

Here are the filters.

They came in very nice filter holder with the slots, and this one is 10 by 10, so they

put a little spacer inside, this way you don't have to fish for them.

It's very nice.

So, here is how it looks.

This one is 10-stop and it's dark, and the other side, if you see is little foam gasket;

it protects the light from leaking into the lens.

And then how it goes inside, it goes pretty snug, but once it's inside it's perfect

And that's how it works.

It's amazing.

So next thing what I ordered was ND filter, and the same came with the great pouch.

Everything in leather, so it's beautiful.

Nicely protected.

And here, as you see is 3-stop ND filter, soft edge and what I like about it, it's glass.

It's better quality than resin.

And other thing what is nice about those filters, is that the filter holder takes any other

filters, if you want from other companies or if you have more, or whatever, you can

still use other filters.

So it goes like this, and if you want to, let's say work with the horizon or whatever,

you can just spin it like this, and still you have one more slot for another filter,

if you want to.

What else to say.

What I like about those filters is especially the price.

I bought those filters, I wasn't sponsored, but that filter holder kit is probably hard

to get, and I was keeping an eye on them and when I decided to buy it, I couldn't find

it, so I start to search for them, and I found one little company, family owned in New Hampshire,

and this company is called 2filters.com, and I'm going to put to the description,

and they have even 10% cheaper than on the cheapest place.

If you want to go there, I really recommend it because they have all kinds of different

lenses, uh filters from different companies.

It would be great to support little business.

Ok so that's it about the filters.

Now what I want to show you, what else I got.

It's this little thing.

They call MindShift, it's a company MindShift, and the name of product is Filter Hive.

It's very nicely built.

From outside you can tell it's weather proof, it's nice.

And what I like about this holder kit, it's the feature here, here is little strap, you

can hook let's say around your tripod and you can have everything close by, you don't

have to go to your backpack or whatever, it's there.

Another thing what you can do, also here is the strap what you can put around your belt.

From other side, there is a little zipper and inside you can put, I think I'm going

to put there like my timer, my trigger.

It's going to be there, everything what I would need.

So that's how it opens.

And another good thing is, let's say you don't want to carry big bulky thing, you can just

pull it out, and this one you can keep it wherever, and you can just have this one let's

say in the pocket or wherever you want.

So from inside, right like you open it, you have a little zipper what would be very handy

if you have any other filter holder kit that comes with the screws and spare slots, you

can just put them or here even like little cleaning cloth, or whatever you need.

From the beginning, you have a little slots that you can use for regular circular filters.

I have many of them so you can just stack them inside.

You have 6 slots, and if you have a little bag or something, you could even put 2 in

the slot.

Right here is the wider slot where I would put filter holder.

And here you have 1,2,3,4,5, 5 slots for the 1x2 filters, for the big filters.

And if you have a little bag you can even double stack them.

It's plenty of room.

What is nice about that, you can somehow develop some system, because the slots are color-coordinated,

so you can just remember where goes where, and you're all set.

So that's how it goes.

I'm going to put this one, I have only 1 big one, I can put it just here.

And then I can just put, I can slide this one out and put them like separate, it doesn't

matter where, just somewhere here.

And also I still have an ND 3-stop filter, I can put it right next to it.

And then it goes, I can put the filter holder right away here, and this one I can put it

right straight beside it, wherever and you still can close it, you can put any other

filters, and it would work perfectly.

So that is for this.

And then you can just close it and put it back to your bag, zip it up and ready to go.
