【英語】I'm opening up to you. 16歳の私と23歳の私 *English with Ayaki - Duration: 16:11.

okay here we go...I'm slightly nervous

okay, recently I wrote a blog post sharing

a bit of my past. So please do go and have a read before watching this video

because if you don't this video will not make any sense to you.

yes, this is myself in front of the camera just after I uploaded and shared that story.

I shared a lot of my emotions and feelings in that blog post but I did not go into too

much detail on my journey. Like, how I went through that journey.

So I thought I'd sort of talked about that also linking to a couple of recent events that has happened.

I was not sure if I should share this story because it makes me

very vulnerable but I do think that this is something important that I need to

share with you if I want to have a deeper connection with the people that

follow me so please forgive me if this video gets a bit long.

I will try not to make it too long because that's just gonna make it harder for me to edit.

I've been studying English for years. I can't really count how long because

we do study English in schools, don't we. I think my main struggles with

studying English was... it was after I graduated high school. It was when I

wanted to learn to speak English. It was when I wanted to learn to communicate

with people who spoke English

It was not when I wanted grades. It was not when I wanted scores.

When I was in the process of studying to get good grades at

for example TOEIC or Eiken or at school

I did feel like I was having struggles.

It wasn't easy.

Getting the first grade in Eiken was a tough situation, I'm just

gonna put out there. It's not easy, it's never gonna be easy

but it will be worth it, though.

But my struggle that came afterwards when I actually wanted to

communicate in English was much bigger it was much much bigger.

It was very difficult.

The hardest thing about the whole process was that I was not able to

talk to anyone about my struggles.

I tried, believe me, I tried. But I didn't...

...I didn't actually know who to talk to because you don't hear a lot of people

saying that they have for example 950 scores on TOEIC but cannot speak English

There are people like that. I know we all know that just getting high scores in

TOEIC will not make you an English speaker that is a completely different topic but

we don't see people talk about it. We don't see people who actually have

over 900 scores on TOEIC, go out on the streets and say that they cannot

actually speak fluent English as they would like to.

There is a reason for that

there is a very good reason for that and it's because those people

are very very scared of being judged.

Still to this day so many people assume that if you get

the first grade in Eiken you are almost like a native and that is so not the case

so not the case...

I myself was in that situation I was able to read and

write quite well, I had not much problem with my listening

skills if it were exams like Eiken or TOIEC.

But I still struggled with

listening and understanding what foreigners said because they speak quite

differently compared to what I call "textbook English".

Because you have a lot

of information, a lot of English information in your head the fact that

they don't come out of your mouth is so, so frustrating.

But I know there are some of you out there

who do understand me on a very deep level.

I also couldn't speak the way I wanted to

and that is very very frustrating.

The more you understand English, the more words you know,

the more sentences you can understand, the more books you've read,

the more irritating it gets.

I just wanted to say that I'm here for you,

people like you, who have not much people to talk to.

Because English schools, believe me, they don't help.

When you have good scores in Eiken or TOEIC

English schools don't really provide you anything better.

Because they don't know what you want.

A lot of English schools assume that you want high scores in TOEIC.

A lot of them assume that you want to learn more words.

No, that's not what you want. You want to be able to use words, you want to be able to communicate

and that is very very different.

So when you go to English schools saying that

you have good grades already they don't see the point in you coming to their school.

They don't know what to teach you.

Education in Japan has its pros and cons

I've met so many good teachers so I will not say that education in Japan is

all bad, but in this sense there is nowhere for people to go and get help.

So I had to study on my own. I had to find ways to study on my own, which was a process.

Eventually I did find ways that helped me which is why I'm here

which is why I'm speaking English fluently now, I can speak with foreigners as well

but it took time it took a lot of trial and error,

but yeah I got here.

I can't say how long it took but I would say it took no less than three years for me.

I did not find support online by the way I did not go to any

Japanese person online I couldn't find anyone that I could connect with at that time.

So I just worked on my own to fight for what I wanted.

As I wrote in the blog post that I was mentioning,

my grandfather was someone who inspired me so much.

He was not someone that was very fluent in English, by the way.

He was just a really really good supporter

He had experiences going overseas and

I don't know why I never asked him why but for some reason he thought that I would

be one of those people that understands and will be able to communicate with

people overseas and will be able to appreciate the effort that goes into

communication that goes into meeting people not just seeing things but

communicating and connecting with people on a very deep level.

When I was fifteen I did not understand what he was talking about

but my grandfather saw potential in me

and that was something that I never got from anyone else

until very recently.

As I've also mentioned in my blog, post I met someone who shared my interest in English.

He may be watching this video

part of me is praying that he doesn't

But you know, I can't help that it's gonna be his choice I'm not gonna give you his name or anything.

but he will know who he is.

I was very very lucky we met on coincidence

It didn't help that I post these videos online and stuff but yeah it was a

complete coincidence and we went from dinner had a couple of drinks and he was

very interested to know about me, what I do and what I have been doing English wise.

The way he talked, the way he was interested in me, the way he believed in me

was very similar to that of my grandfather and I did not realize

that until I said goodbye to him. It was a while after I said goodbye to him that

I realized that that was what I felt from him.

It's not like I'm channeling my grandfather on someone completely different.

I know I understand my situation and I know he's a completely different person.

He's a very interesting person, I would say.

He has his fair share of achievements in what he actually does.

But personally what I saw in him was more than just work-related.

He listens to people he's not someone that just sees the outline

of a person like what hairstyle they have, what clothes they wear, what makeup

they have on or... I don't know... what sort of handbag people have.

Because most people

I'd say around the world only look at what people have outside, whereas this

person he sees people in the inside.

I mean, well, I'm still 23 so I can't say

that I've met so many people but I know from experience at least that that trait is rare.

So I feel very very lucky to be in this position.

Meeting with this person, actually communicating with this person in person for a couple of hours

really inspired me to reach out a bit more.

I was uploading videos, writing blog posts,

using Twitter and Instagram, and it was more like I was waiting for

people to stumble across but I really wanted to

reach out to people more and start moving for myself I realized that my

experiences, my struggles in the past could be helpful, could be useful to so

many people out there and I have to be the one to reach out to them.

I don't know why but I just felt that way.

I know how hard it is to ask for help. I know how difficult it is

to find someone that understands when you're going through

struggles concerning English communication and speaking.

There are classes, there are schools. I know. I mean, there are so many you can't even...

it's getting really difficult to choose, isn't it.

But they don't necessarily work for every single person.

You can go and look, to find your needs but I know there are

people out there who are absolutely terrified to do that or don't know where

to go. They're just completely lost.

I want to be a person that changes your life, that can guide you on your way to learning English,

to actually being able to use and speak English the way you've always dreamt.

I want to reach to your heart not just your ears and in order to do that I just thought I had to pour out

my own heart and, I mean, just talking about how to study English,

just teaching you a couple of phrases will not do anything for you.

I wanted you to understand me on a deeper level and I want to understand you more in a deeper level.

I want to help you. I don't care how big your dreams are, it doesn't matter.

There there's so many people who come to me and say they have really big goals

but they're not sure if they're achievable or even if they don't achieve those goals they are bracing themselves so they don't get upset and...

...come on. Come on! Let's go and make this come true.

I mean, I don't care where you are what you do and what your gender is, how old

you are... it doesn't matter. You can be 80 and you can try and be

the President of the United States

Come on, try and prove to me that that is impossible.

Like, completely impossible. There's no way around it.

You can do anything you want. At least give it a try, come on.

Believe me, when I was around 14, 15

I never thought I'd be doing this. I never thought I'd have a British accent.

I never thought I'd be teaching people English.

As I said at the beginning, it was not easy. It took me a while, I had to take time out of my everyday life,

but it is so worth it. You grow up so much as a person and like me you may be able to

meet someone that changes your perspective, that changes your life,

that means so much to you that you feel like telling them everything you know and

everything about your life, because that's what this person is to me and

I believe that I was able to connect with him, even meet him because I have this

thing, this English, studying English, speaking English that I worked on so

much and poured my everything into.

Now I really don't want him to see his video lol

So I'd like to thank anyone who read my blog post, who read my Facebook page,

who clicked on this video, who sent me messages, who left a comment on those

blog posts or even on this YouTube video. It means a lot, it really means a lot

that I have people who follow me, who want to listen to what I say and I hope

videos like this, blog post like that reach out to so many other people.

Please forgive me if this video is not as edited as it usually is.

I just wanted to get it up. I didn't want to wait for about like a week or anything.

I hope you got something from this video and I will see you very very soon for another video

I have two videos that are coming up very very soon.

As usual, all my social media links will be in the description bar below.

As I've said, I'll also leave a link to my blog post and my Facebook page in the description bar below,as well.

If you want to go and have a read again, for some reason.

Please like the video if you did and also subscribe to my channel.

Tht helps me a lot. So yeah I'll see you next time, bye.

DJI Ronin-S: FIRST LOK - Duration: 5:20.

- All right, usually I don't really excited about

gimbals because they are like, "What to excite about?"

It's a gimbal that you turn it on,

and then, it stabilise your camera.

Yeah, it's stable.

Yay.

Not this one though, DJI Ronin-S.

This is probably the first one get me excited.

I think what is special about this is

it is probably the most mature one.

So we start from the top.

Everything is really nice, this side.

Every part of it is so cool.

Obviously, it's really easy to change this bit,

and this screw you can adjust the position of it.

I will mention it a bit more later,

this is a connection to the USB-C port of this GH5.

Now this is a new design trend for a lot of gimbals

is that this motor, usually it's up there,

blocking your view to the screen.

Now it's down here.

Not the first by DJI, but still a good move.

Down here, I think this is one of the best bits.

This joystick is so good that you can do fast movement

and small adjustment.

It's ten times better than other drone out there.

Uh, gimbal.

This is basically the same one

from the drone remote control.

Now when I say it looks the same design

of the DJI remote control from the drones,

actually you can change this to,

thank you,

this is a remote from Mavic Air.

You can take this off, take this away,

and use a long one from your Mavic Air controller.

Look at it!

It make it even better.

I think I love this even more.

Well of course the bad thing is that it sticks out,

but a good thing is that, it sticks out! (laughs)

If that makes sense.

Now of course you can change modes on this mode button.

One small thing is that it's got three LED lights here,

so you can clearly see

I'm in mode three, mode one, mode two.

Of course you can customise these different modes.

All other gimbals you have to remember those buttons

that you press once for something, press twice for mode two,

and you have to remember all those flashing LED lights

in different pattern.

Who has time to remember all that?

Now on this side, this is a follow focus button.

It's really smooth as well.

It feels like those old hi-fi.

For now, it only works with Panasonic GH5 and GH5S,

but it works really well.

Look at that,

Darryl at the back,

and I focus on the GH5,

back to Darryl, back to GH5.

There's a trigger in front, so you can hold a position,

you can centre it, put it to selfie mode,

something like that.

Down there, this is this handle.

Really solid.

It feels like a power drill.

Now this little tripod is not totally new.

I think I've seen these at least over a year,

for this kind of small tripod,

but this one is a really good design one because

on the outside, it's got a rubberized grip,

rubberized bits.

The grip already is really good

for holding it with both hands.

The tripod extended, you can hold it on the tripod as well.

So even more extend the length of the grip.

And because it's rubberized, it's really good to hold.

So you can take it off, really easily,

and obviously you can store this in your backpack easier

than one whole big thing.

This grip feels so good.

This is quite heavy.

It's got battery inside, internal battery here,

12 hours of battery life.

And then you charge it here with USB-C, here.

Well for now, we don't have much information

about this Ronin-S.

This is all I know about the Ronin-S

because this is still just a pre-production model,

and I haven't got the official app for this as well.

So this is a really quick first look of this DJI Ronin-S.

Now what I'm excited about this,

it's not what it can do that other gimbals can't do,

but the thing is, it is so user-friendly.

It's so easy to use and everything just feels so mature.

Thank you very much for watching this and stay tuned

when I have a chance to review this in detail.

Whoa! (laughing)

Look at that!

It can do this as well!

Well I can do this, I mean.

The Iroquois Confederacy - Duration: 16:01.

On December 6th, 1811, the New York Historical Society invited former Senator and future

almost-President DeWitt Clinton to give a speech at their annual meeting.

Clinton took them up on their offer, and used the opportunity to deliver a 90 minute monologue

arguing that the Iroquois were, in his words, "the Romans of the Western world."

Clinton's overall argument was that New York academia was not spending enough time studying

the Iroquois Confederacy.

This was true.

The Iroquois definitely deserved some serious scholarship, but not for the reasons given

by DeWitt Clinton.

It was a common trope at the time to draw this artificial link between the Iroquois

and the Romans, but in the final analysis, this turned out to be reductive, and lazy,

and fundamentally wrong.

Today, we can do better.

There's a saying that goes: "the beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper

name."

The name Iroquois doesn't really tell us anything useful, and the reason for that is that it's

not their proper name.

The Iroquois are known among themselves as the Haudenosaunee, which means "the People

of the Longhouse."

That should give us a clue as to who these people are.

The Haudenosaunee are not one people, but many peoples, knit together by a common culture

and political system.

The Five Nations of the Haudenosaunee were, in descending order of size, the Seneca, the

Mohawk, the Cayuga, the Onondaga, and the Oneida.

These Five Nations formed a confederacy, each semi-autonomous, but united under one supranational

government.

We're gonna tackle that government in a few minutes, but in order to understand it, we

must first understand the Haudenosaunee's most potent political entity.

Any guesses as to what that was?

If only we had some kind of clue.

Oh wait.

We do.

Proper names, they make history easy!

For centuries, longhouses were some of the largest and most sophisticated buildings on

the continent, with some approaching 100 metres long.

The typical longhouse supported 6 to 10 nuclear families, each with their own little section,

kinda like an apartment.

Families opposite each other shared communal fires, which ran the length of the building.

Pay attention, because the imagery of the longhouse and the communal fire is going to

come up a lot when we get into the Haudenosaunee government.

But we're not there yet.

First we need to discuss who got to participate in that government, because it's no simple

thing.

Haudenosaunee society was a matriarchy, meaning that ultimate political power rested with

women.

The most important manifestation of this power was in the position of Clan Mother.

The Clan Mother was basically the head of each family, but in this case the word "family"

had a pretty expansive meaning.

The term included the Clan Mother's spouse and children, obviously, but also her daughters'

spouses, and their children, as well as her own sisters, their spouses, and their children.

As you can imagine, a Clan Mother's family could easily number in the hundreds, which

is where the "clan" part of the name came from.

Everybody in a Clan Mother's extended family were were lumped together and thrown into

one or several longhouses.

On all political matters, the Clan Mother spoke on behalf of the entire longhouse.

This was the most important political relationship in Haudenosaunee society.

Each Clan Mother was empowered to appoint men from her own clan into key political positions.

While in those positions, these people became the personal representatives of the Clan Mother,

and through her, the entire longhouse.

This meant that she was also allowed to un-appoint them at any time, for any reason.

Historian William N. Fenton has said that there's no evidence of one of these political

appointees ever, let me repeat, ever defying the wishes of his Clan Mother.

All political appointees are simply known by the catchall term "chief."

There were 4 kinds of chiefs: Civil Chiefs, War Chiefs, Peace Chiefs, and Sachems.

As you can imagine, Civil Chiefs governed settlements, War Chiefs did strategic war

planning, and Peace Chiefs dealt with diplomacy and trade.

We can ignore Sachems for the moment because we're gonna get into that later.

The most important thing to remember is that every chief was backed by a Clan Mother, and

that the clans, through the Clan Mothers, remained the most important political unit.

All clans within each Nation were arbitrarily divided into two groups which ethnographers

call moieties.

There's not that much to say about moieties right now since they are largely ceremonial,

but you need to know what they are because they're going to come up later.

To summarize, one or several longhouses made a clan, several clans made a moiety, and two

moieties made a Nation.

Clan Mothers picked the chiefs, and the chiefs helped administer each Nation.

But there's one more thing we haven't considered yet.

The actual subject at hand.

The fact that Five Nations made a Confederacy.

The Five Nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy met in Onondaga territory and formed the Haudenosaunee

Council.

Who did this?

Sachems.

Remember, Sachems were the fourth category of chief that I said we'd get into later.

WELL, BUCKLE UP, 'CAUSE WE'RE GETTIN' INTO IT NOW.

The Haudenosaunee Council consisted of 50 Sachems from across the Five Nations.

Membership in the Council broke down like this:

The Mohawk sent 9 Sachems, the Onondaga sent 14, the Seneca sent 8, the Oneida sent 9,

and the Cayuga sent 10.

It would be embarrassing if that didn't add up to 50.

Oh, good.

Under the Confederacy, the Five Nations considered themselves one family, living under the same

longhouse.

This symbolism was extremely important.

The Mohawk were the founders of the Confederacy, and as such they were recognized as the theoretical

eldest sibling of this theoretical family in this theoretical longhouse.

The Onondaga were recognized as the middle sibling, and the Seneca were recognized as

the youngest sibling.

Then, for a change of pace, the Oneida and the Cayuga were recognized as another set

of child-siblings, with the Oneida being the elder and the Cayuga being the younger.

This wasn't just for fun.

The exact positioning within this family was the end result of some tough negotiations,

and would have real world implications.

I explained moieties a minute ago, and that's going to come in handy now.

This family structure divided the Five Nations into two moieties.

The Mohawk, the Onondaga, and the Seneca formed the Senior Moiety, and the Oneida and the

Cayuga formed the Junior Moiety.

Remember how different nuclear families would come together to share a fire in the centre

of the longhouse?

That conceptual framework came into play here.

Council meetings took place around the eternal fire of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

As hosts, the Onondaga Nation was entrusted with maintaining this fire year round.

During actual council meetings, for both symbolic and practical reasons, the job of maintaining

the fire fell to the 14 Onondaga Sachems, who sat in the centre of the longhouse, closest

to the fire.

In the literature these are sometimes called the Onondaga Firekeepers.

The two remaining Nations from the Senior Moiety sat together on one side of the fire,

and the two Nations from the Junior Moiety sat on the other.

Let's get into how the Council worked.

Step 1: Somebody introduces a thing.

Am I going too fast?

This would normally be a foreign policy thing, so for the sake of clarity we're going to

pretend that one of the Mohawk Sachems introduced a peace treaty or something.

Step 2: Whichever Nation brought the proposal would debate the issue among themselves, with

everybody else looking on.

Multiple speakers were given a chance to make their case, but eventually, the Sachems within

that Nation had to come to some sort of consensus.

Without consensus, the proposal died.

Step 3: Once a consensus was reached, the question got passed to the other Nation within

the same moiety.

In this case, since the Mohawk were in the Senior Moiety, that would mean the Seneca.

For the time being, the Onondaga Firekeepers remained separate from this process.

Within that sibling nation, the same process played itself out.

There was another internal debate, and again, speakers got a chance to make their case.

Just like last time, the question could not proceed until there was consensus.

Now it starts to get complicated.

If the two Nations within the same moiety came to different consensuses, they would

have to start the whole thing over again.

Step 4: If that moiety reached a consensus, the issue got kicked across the fire for the

other moiety's consideration.

That moiety, in this case the Junior Moiety, would debate as one, and the issue would not

proceed until they reached a consensus.

However, and this is key, the two moieties did not have to reach the same consensuses.

Just to keep things interesting, we're going to pretend that that happens here.

Step 5: Finally, the Onondaga Firekeepers got to weigh in.

As the host Nation, they got to position themselves as a neutral third party.

Just like everybody else, the Onondaga had to reach an internal consensus.

Now, in this case, where the two moieties disagreed, the Onondaga got to play the role

of tiebreaker, and whatever they decided would become the final result.

If, on the other hand, we were in a situation where the two moieties agreed, one of two

things could happen.

The Onondaga could simply endorse the group's decision, simple enough, or they could send

the question all the way back to the beginning for a second round of debate.

If, after that second round, it came back to them again, they had no choice but to agree.

Still with me?

It's complicated, so let's do a simplified summary.

A person would introduce a question, then their nation would debate, then their sibling

nation would debate, then the other moiety would debate, then the Onondaga would debate

and offer their final approval.

Each one of these steps required internal consensus.

Let's consider the implications of a system like this.

Internally, the Confederacy was extremely unbalanced.

The two most powerful Nations were the Mohawk and the Seneca, and nobody else even came

close.

These two Nations also happened to be located at opposite ends of the Confederacy.

So take a moment and think: which situation would the Haudenosaunee want to avoid at all

costs?

It makes sense when you look at the map.

What they wanted to avoid was the Mohawk taking one position, the Seneca taking another position,

everybody in the middle being forced to pick a side.

A situation like that can lead to a civil war.

Instead, what did they do?

They said "Mohawk, Seneca, the group isn't even going to discuss your proposal until

you two agree."

If the two heavyweights could not reach a consensus, the smaller Nations never entered

the debate.

A similar things happened if the proposal came from the other side of the fire.

If there was consensus among the smaller Nations but the Mohawk and the Seneca couldn't come

to terms, the issue was dropped, nothing happened.

What else would the Haudenosaunee want to avoid?

Well, you wouldn't want the Mohawk or the Seneca dominating the Council, lest you spawn

some kind of Mohawk or Seneca Empire.

So how did they stop this?

The Council isolated the two most powerful Nations in the Senior Moiety.

Remember, the two moieties did not have to agree, so if the smaller Nations said one

thing, and the powerful Nations said another thing, the Onondaga, another small Nation,

got to break that tie.

In other words, if the Mohawk and the Seneca decided to gang up on the rest of the Council,

the smaller Nations could still bypass them.

The Council counteracted the imbalance within the Confederacy.

It's really a remarkable invention.

In the early 18th century, the Tuscarora Nation lost a war against the Europeans, and then

migrated north, straight into Haudenosaunee territory.

The Oneida proposed offering the Tuscarora full membership into the Confederacy.

The Tuscarora were also People of the Longhouse.

Same language, same culture.

It made a lot of sense.

Since the Oneida proposed the idea, the Cayuga were consulted next.

After some internal debate, they agreed.

With the Junior Moiety in agreement, the proposal was kicked across the fire to the Senior Moiety,

who agreed as well.

Finally, the Onondaga Firekeepers were consulted.

They gave the thumbs up, and with that, proposal was adopted.

In 1722, the Five Nations became the Six Nations.

The Tuscarora were adopted into the Junior Moiety as a new, youngest sibling.

However, in a move that tells us that the Tuscarora were in no position to negotiate,

they were not given any representation on the Council.

Up until the mid-18th century, whenever European settlers wanted something from the Haudenosaunee,

they would would ask to see their chief.

If you're made it this far, you should understand that that was a confusing request.

Which chief?

Even if they sent somebody, they couldn't make any decisions without first consulting

with their Clan Mother, and they certainly could not conduct foreign policy without the

Council's approval.

This centuries long miscommunication was completely avoidable.

In 1811, when DeWitt Clinton delivered his speech before the New York Historical Society,

academia was just beginning to take the Haudenosaunee seriously.

It was long overdue.

That's why he devoted so much time trying to convince his peers that the Haudenosaunee

were, in fact, "the Romans of the Western world."

It's unfortunate phrasing, and by now you understand that it's not remotely true.

What he could have said is "you should take the Haudenosaunee as seriously as you take

the Romans."

After all, unlike the Romans, they're still here, still running what can plausibly be

called the world's oldest democracy.

COMMENT BATTRE LE BOSS DE FIN - Octo Expansion Splatoon 2 - Duration: 5:56.

In Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, a hidden final boss is available when you are done

with the 80 levels of the DLC, and this boss is very tough!

I see many people complaining about it on the social media, so I told myself

that it would be a good idea to explain in a video the basis

in order to fight efficiently.

And the things you shouldn't do when you fight against this final boss.

So, we are going to spoil the story mode of the Octo Expansion, especially

the very last boss of this DLC.

So, you know the song, if you don't want to see it, I let you hit the like button

under the video and leave right away before being spoilt.

As for the others, well, let's see this!

If you are here, it may be because you want to know more about it, or because

you already defeated it.

I'm talking about Agent 3, the very one you already defeated once during the final phase

you have to confront her again once you passed all 80 levels of the DLC.

This version of Agent 3 is going to be really hard to defeat.

However, you can use some tricks and strats in order to defeat her

a little bit more easily.

So, this video enables me to share with you some tricks, in order to make this

fight a little fairer.

To do so, you have to clearly understand Agent 3's different phases and patterns of attack

Let's see altogether how to make it easier for you.

It's not that complicated, actually.

During the first phase, the trick is to ink and get the turf as much as possible

so you can move fast and avoid Agent 3's special attacks.

To prevent Agent 3 from gaining too much turf, you have to rush

towards her really quick as soon as she arrives in the arena

so that she won't have time to ink the ground, or even use her special weapons.

And this is what will enable you to dominate the fight.

Indeed, the only way to defeat her is, well, to inflict the maximum damage,

you have to know that she's got a protective armure you need to break

In fact, if you let her attack, she will gain turf over you, you you will have

to escape, and it won't be easy to kill her right after.

So, it may be in your best interest to go and splat her as soon as you can.

When she arrives in the arena, she uses a Splashdown, but once it's over,

rush towards her and try to inflict as much damage as possible.

Keep in mind that after a few shots, she will roll left and right,

you must try to anticipate her moves.

One trick could be to try to corner her, like, litteraly using one of the corners

so that she will roll and won't be able to go that far, so it will be easier for you to splat her.

So, let's focus on the different phases of your battle.

The first phase is the one during which she uses her ink-jet.

So here, there are two tricks.

You may do as I said and rush right away in order to splat her

In theory, if your aiming is good, she won't be able to hurt you more

than you hurt her, so you will turn the fight to your advantage.

But if she uses her ink-jet anyway, well, the trick is to count the number

of shots in order to know when she will come back on the ground.

She will shot 6 times in a row, trying to chase you down, so you must

keep on moving during those 6 shots.

When she's about to shoot her last shot, you'd better come close to her reception point

and once she's there, well, ink her up and it will make her

vulnerable, and this will enable you to

end phase 1.

The second phase is the one during which she uses the bubbles.

Here, the idea is to let her make her bubbles but not let her

pop them.

So, once the bubbles are out, well rush towards her and shoot her.

So she will focus on you instead of her bubbles.

Actually, it may be interesting to go near her in a corner, at the beginning of this phase,

so that she will throw her bubbles in a corner of the arena

instead of the middle square.

This trick can make things a little bit easier, you won't have to dodge them after.

The idea is the same: she throws her bubbles and you rush towards her quickly

in order to splat her before she can do anything else.

The third phase is the phase in which she uses her Autobomb launcher.

Same thing here: she will throw a lot of Autobombs, the idea is to

rush onto her at the very beginning and shoot her.

Ignore the Autobombs because they need a few seconds

before exploding.

Focus on her, and try to dodge her bombs at the last moment.

Well, obviously she can shoot back with her main weapon, so be careful.

But, these autobombs are more of a distraction here rather than a real way of splatting us, actually

because they are quite slow and easy to dodge.

So don't get distracted by them.

The fourth phase is the one during which she gets back on her flying saucer and uses her Multi-missile.

Here, it's very easy.

In fact, you must throw two bombs back-to-back, the first one

will break down her defense, and the second one will splat her.

And finally, the last phase in which she uses multiple Splashdowns,

back-to-back.

You have several strats.

You can swim to the left side so that she will Splashdown on the left,

then on the right, then on left, and so on.

But you have to be really quick, both in your moves and your shooting, to swim

across the arena.

Or you can dodge her using the arena obstacles, because, indeed,

even if you are within her Splashdown area, if an obstacle is between you and her,

well, you won't be damaged that much by her special weapon.

So, you can move around these obstacles on the arena

so that you can dodge her attacks.

And once she's done, you can rush onto her to shoot her.

Of course, it may sound easy when I say so, but it is not that simple, actually.

Because throughout the battle, Agent 3 will keep on shooting you.

So you'll be constantly in danger.

But the easiest way to splat her is to rush onto her right at the very beginning,

when she lands on the arena.

Because she won't use her special weapons and won't gain much turf.

And the odds of your imminent death won't be high, because no matter when,

she will always find a way of defending herself.

So your best chance is to know exactly how she attacks, but mostly how she moves

so that you can aim better and splat her the fastest.

Between two phases, don't forget to ink up the arena as much as you can,

so that you can move more easily on the ground.

And whatever you do, don't lose hope.

Because indeed, this final boss is really hard to defeat.

But now that you have the tools to try and defeat it, and so you will get

the Golden Toothpick and you will be the coolest kid in Inkopolis.

So, that's it for this video, I hope these little tricks will be useful, feel free to

let me know in the commentary section how you defeated this boss, if it was hard for you, or not,

and if this video was of any help in doing so.

This was EvilSquid speaking, see you soon in a next video.

Bye!

Season 6 Episode 8: - Search for the Yeti - Duration: 41:40.

Narrator: ON THIS SPECIAL EPISODE OF "FINDING BIGFOOT"...

-- Captions by VITAC -- www.vitac.com

...FOR CENTURIES, THE NEPALESE PEOPLE

LIVING HIGH IN THE HIMALAYAN VILLAGES

HAVE SPOKEN OF A CREATURE WHO HIDES

IN THE DENSE FORESTS AND VALLEYS OF THOSE MOUNTAINS.

IT IS KNOWN AS THE YETI.

REFERRED TO BY WESTERNERS AS THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN,

IT IS BELIEVED TO BE SMALLER,

BUT CLOSELY RELATED TO THE NORTH AMERICAN SASQUATCH.

[ ROARS ]

Matt: THERE IT IS.

Bobo: PANGBOCHE.

THE TEAM FROM "FINDING BIGFOOT"

TRAVELS TO THIS REMOTE PART OF THE WORLD

TO INVESTIGATE RELICS HELD AT A TEMPLE NEAR MOUNT EVEREST.

Cliff: BUT IT'S SO BIG.

YEAH.

HOW COULD THAT BE HUMAN?

WITH THE KNOWLEDGE GAINED

FROM A MOUNTAIN VILLAGE GATHERING...

I WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SOUND IT MADE.

[ HOWLS ]

[ GROWLS ]

Narrator: ...AND USING TECHNOLOGY

NEVER BEFORE SEEN BY THE NEPALESE PEOPLE...

THAT LOOKS LIKE A YETI.

I LOOK LIKE A YETI?

YEAH.

THAT'S THE NICEST THING ANYONE'S EVER SAID TO ME.

...THE TEAM HOPES TO PROVE

THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN IS MORE THAN A MERE LEGEND.

CAPTIONS PAID FOR BY DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS

JAMES: It was impossibly large.

MAN: It definitely wasn't human.

Matt: I'VE BEEN TRACKING SASQUATCHES FOR 25 YEARS.

Cliff: THESE ANIMALS, IN FACT, ARE REAL.

Bobo: I'VE SEEN THEM. THEY'RE HERE.

Ranae: I'M HAVING A REALLY DIFFICULT TIME

FINDING AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS.

Matt: THERE'S SOMETHING ON THE HILL!

[ ROARS ]

I DO THINK THERE'S A 'SQUATCH IN THESE WOODS.

Matt: THE TEAM AND I HAVE TRAVELED TO ONE OF THE MOST REMOTE

COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD -- NEPAL --

HOME TO THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN RANGE IN THE WORLD,

THE HIMALAYAS, TO LOOK FOR THE LEGENDARY YETI.

FROM WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT YETIS,

ALSO KNOWN AS THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN --

THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE TOO DIFFERENT

FROM THE NORTH AMERICAN SASQUATCH.

THE REPORTS OF YETIS DESCRIBE A LARGE, BIPEDAL, APELIKE ANIMAL

COVERED IN HAIR

LIVING IN SECLUDED FORESTS AT HIGHER ELEVATION.

SINCE THE EARLY 1950s, WESTERN EXPLORERS

LIKE PETER BYRNE AND TOM SLICK

HAVE GONE IN SEARCH OF THE YETI

ACROSS THE IMPASSABLE PEAKS AND VALLEYS OF THE HIMALAYAS.

DURING THEIR TIME IN THE MOUNTAINS,

THEY HEARD ABOUT A SUSPECTED YETI HAND AND YETI SCALP

AT THE PANGBOCHE MONASTERY

HIGH IN THE FOOTHILLS BELOW MOUNT EVEREST.

THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST TIME

AS WE FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THOSE GREAT EXPLORERS.

WE'RE IN THE RIGHT SPOT TO GET SOME YETI TIPS.

I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T THINK WE'RE GONNA FIND A YETI DOWN HERE.

I SAW A YETI SCALP IN THE WINDOW BACK THERE.

DID YOU?

OH, VERY NICE. VERY NICE.

Bobo: I'M SUPER EXCITED TO BE HERE IN NEPAL LOOKING FOR THE YETI.

WHEN PEOPLE THINK OF YETIS, ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN,

THEY PICTURE THIS WHITE SNOW-COLORED CREATURE.

LIKE IN ALL THE CARTOONS AND POP CULTURE, IT'S ALWAYS WHITE,

BUT IN FACT, HE'S REPORTED TO BE BROWN, BLACK, OR REDDISH.

THE YETI ARE SIMILAR TO THE 'SQUATCH,

BUT THEY'RE MUCH SMALLER

THAN THE ONES WE HAVE IN NORTH AMERICA.

WE GOT OUR WORK CUT OUT FOR US GOING TO LOOK FOR THE YETI IN THE HIMALAYAS.

I MEAN, IT'S THE BIGGEST MOUNTAIN RANGE IN THE WORLD.

IT'S COVERED IN FORESTS, IT'S STEEP, IT'S GNARLY.

IT'S NOT LIKE LOOKING FOR, LIKE, A NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK.

IT'S LIKE LOOKING FOR A NEEDLE

IN A HAY STACK MADE OUT OF NEEDLES.

NAMASTE.

HELLO.

Ranae: NAMASTE.

WE'RE GONNA BE GOING UP INTO THE MOUNTAINS

TO LOOK FOR THE YETI.

YOU KNOW YETI?

YOU KNOW WHAT A YETI IS?

YOU'VE SEEN THEM?

Matt: YOU'VE SEEN A YETI?

YOU SAW A YETI?

DUDE, HE'S JUST GONNA SAY YES TO EVERYTHING.

AM I THAT HANDSOMEST AMERICAN YOU'VE EVER SEEN?

THAT PROVES IT.

YEAH? SO AGREEABLE. YEAH.

Bobo: I KIND OF START THINKING

THESE GUYS AREN'T THOSE "NON-WORLDLY POSSESSION" MONKS.

I WAS WONDERING IF THEY WERE MORE LIKE

"HANG AROUND A TEMPLE AND SCAM TOURISTS" MONKS.

BUT THEY WERE COOL.

THEY CALLED ME VERY HANDSOME -- HANDSOMEST MAN THEY EVER SAW.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

Ranae: AND WE'VE COME HALFWAY AROUND THE WORLD

TO LOOK FOR THE LEGENDARY YETI.

DOWN HERE IN THE CITY, THIS IS WHERE EVERYONE LIVES.

IT'S LOUD, AND IT'S CROWDED.

WHAT WE HAVE TO DO IS GET UP INTO THE FOOTHILLS

OF THE HIMALAYAS.

THAT'S WHERE THIS LEGENDARY BEAST IS SUPPOSED TO LIVE.

Cliff: PANGBOCHE MONASTERY IS THE HOME

OF THE YETI HAND AND THE YETI SCALP

THAT ARE PICTURED IN SO MANY YETI BOOKS

THAT I GREW UP READING BACK IN THE 1970s.

AND NOW I GET TO GO THERE. HOW COOL IS THAT?

BLUFF CREEK, PANGBOCHE MONASTERY.

WHAT'S NEXT -- THE MOON?

Matt: GOING UP TO THE PANGBOCHE MONASTERY

IS SOMETHING WE'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO.

IT'S 14,000 FEET UP INTO THESE MOUNTAINS --

THE HOME OF THE FAMOUS YETI HAND AND SCALP.

AS LEGEND TELLS IT,

THE MONKS HAVE HAD THESE FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS.

THESE RELICS ARE AS IMPORTANT TO THE YETI LEGEND

AS THE PATTERSON-GIMLIN FILM IS

TO THE BIGFOOT LEGEND IN NORTH AMERICA.

Matt: THERE IT IS.

Bobo: PANGBOCHE.

Ranae: IT'S PRETTY EXCITING TO FINALLY SEE SOME PHYSICAL EVIDENCE

OF WHAT'S BELIEVED TO BE A YETI.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

THE RUMOR IS, BACK IN THE 1950s,

PETER BYRNE SMUGGLED ONE OF THE FINGERS TO ENGLAND FOR TESTING.

BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE HUMAN.

I'M CURIOUS WHAT THE MONKS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT.

WE HAVE A HEAD LAMA OF THIS MONASTERY,

AND HE IS GOING TO TELL ABOUT

THE YETI STORY AND THE PROOF, AS WELL.

IT IS QUITE AN HONOR FOR US.

YES. PLEASE THANK HIM FOR US.

[ SPEAKING NEPALI ]

[ SPEAKING NEPALI ]

Ranae: OH, WOW.

Matt: OH, I REMEMBER.

WELL, WE CAN TELL IT WAS A MALE

'CAUSE IT'S GOT MALE-PATTERN BALDNESS.

[ CLIFF LAUGHS ]

FROM THOSE MOVIES, DOCUMENTARIES IN THE '70s,

I REMEMBER SEEING THESE, BOTH OF THESE THINGS.

IT WAS IN SEVERAL BOOKS, TOO.

YEAH.

IT KIND OF DEMYSTIFIED THE SUBJECT

FOR PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY

BECAUSE THEN THERE WAS SOME PHYSICAL EVIDENCE

SHOWING THAT THEY EXISTED

AND THAT THEY WERE FLESH-AND-BLOOD CREATURES.

TO SEE SOMETHING THAT WE'VE BEEN SEEING SINCE WE WERE CHILDREN,

IN BOOKS AND IN MOVIES, IS A POWERFUL THING FOR US.

IN 2011, WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ORIGINAL FINGER

WAS TESTED BY THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS,

AND IT CAME BACK AS HUMAN.

DO THEY BELIEVE THAT THE YETI IS A REAL ANIMAL --

FLESH AND BLOOD?

WE HAVE SIMILAR BELIEFS.

Ranae: WHEN I ASKED THE MONK HOW HE FELT,

HE HELD TO THEIR BELIEFS

THAT THEY BELIEVE THIS WAS FROM A YETI.

IT SEEMS THERE'S ALWAYS AN ANSWER

AND YET THEY CAN'T PROVIDE REAL EVIDENCE.

Cliff: IT'S SO BIG. HOW COULD THAT BE HUMAN?

WHEN YOU LOOK AT HOW SMALL THE NEPALESE PEOPLE ARE --

LOOK HOW BIG THAT HAND IS.

THERE'S NO QUESTION IN MY MIND

WE'RE NOT LOOKING AT A HUMAN HAND HERE.

I MEAN, I PUT MY HAND UP NEXT TO IT.

IT'S TWICE AS BIG AS MY HAND,

AND I'M TWICE AS BIG AS ALMOST ALL THE NEPALESE PEOPLE.

IT'S FROM A YETI, PERIOD.

WE WOULD LIKE TO ENCOUNTER A YETI.

WHERE SHOULD WE LOOK AND WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

Cliff: THANK YOU VERY MUCH. WE SURE APPRECIATE IT.

DHANYAVAD.

LET'S HIT THE ARUN VALLEY.

YEAH.

Cliff: THE LAMA TOLD US TO GO TO THE ARUN VALLEY.

SINCE IT'S NOT TOO FAR FROM THE PANGBOCHE MONASTERY,

WE'RE GONNA HIKE THERE WITH THE HELP OF SHERPAS

CARRYING OUR GEAR.

GET THOSE SHERPAS ON.

WE'RE GONNA SET UP CAMP ON THE EDGE OF THE ARUN VALLEY,

AND TONIGHT WE'RE GONNA DO OUR FIRST NIGHTTIME EXPLORATION

TO TRY TO ENCOUNTER A YETI.

[ BOBO SIGHS ]

THIS IS OUR FIRST NIGHT INVESTIGATION IN NEPAL,

AND, YOU KNOW, IT LOOKS SO SIMILAR

TO PLACES WE'VE BEEN BEFORE, BUT IT'S NOT.

WE'VE NEVER BEEN OUT AT NIGHT IN ANY PLACE LIKE THIS.

SO I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE WHAT TO EXPECT.

ALL WE CAN DO IS GO IN

WITH THE SAME BAG OF TRICKS WE USE IN NORTH AMERICA

AND HOPE THE YETIS RESPOND IN THE SAME WAY.

ACCORDING TO THE LITERATURE, YEAH, THEY MAKE SOME NOISE,

BUT WE KNOW ALMOST NOTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO.

AND AT THE SAME TIME, AS FAR AS WE KNOW,

NOBODY'S TRIED ANY OF THESE TECHNIQUES, LET ALONE AT NIGHT.

NO, I THINK THAT'S GONNA BE OBVIOUS HERE, I THINK.

ALL OF THESE YETIS WILL BE VIRGINS, PERIOD.

NOT FOR LONG NOW THAT THE BOBE'S HERE.

I'LL BE VOCALIZING A LOT.

ALL RIGHT, RANAE, YOU WANT TO TEAM UP FIRST NIGHT IN THE HIMALAYAS?

YEAH, I LIKE THAT PLAN. LET'S HEAD THAT WAY.

THAT'S WHERE I WANT TO GO.

MATT, YOU AND I.

ABSOLUTELY.

WE'LL GO THE OTHER DIRECTION.

WE'LL BE IN TOUCH.

ALL RIGHT.

Cliff: YEAH, ON THE RADIO.

SO, WE'RE GONNA SPLIT OFF INTO TWO TEAMS.

MATT AND I ARE GONNA TAKE ONE RIDGE.

RANAE AND BOBO ARE GONNA TAKE THE OTHER.

WE'RE GONNA SEE IF THE NORTH AMERICAN BIGFOOT CALLS

THAT WE USUALLY DO WILL ELICIT A RESPONSE

FROM THE HIMALAYAN YETI.

WE DON'T KNOW, BUT IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY.

OH, NICE. CHECK THIS OUT, BOBES.

PRAYER WALL.

BEAUTIFUL.

WANT ME TO READ IT FOR YOU?

[ CHUCKLES ] YEAH. YOU KNOW SANSKRIT?

I'M BRUSHING UP A LITTLE BIT.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL IT SAYS.

THAT'S AWESOME, THOUGH.

"RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK" OR SOMETHING.

THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD-LUCK SPOT TO DO SOME CALLS,

RIGHT HERE IN FRONT OF THE PRAYER WALL.

MATT.

MATT: Yeah, what's up?

BOBO: We hiked up.

WE'RE AT THIS REALLY KILLER LITTLE LANDING SPOT

IN FRONT OF A PRAYER WALL.

IT JUST SEEMS LIKE A PERFECT PLACE TO --

WING AND A PRAYER -- A 'SQUATCH CALL FOR A YETI RESPONSE.

I DIG IT. GO FOR IT.

[ ROARS ]

[ ROARS ]

[ CHUCKLES ]

OKAY, I'M GONNA REPLY IN ABOUT 20 SECONDS.

[ SHRIEKING ]

WE'RE ALL STRIKING OUT.

I THINK WE SHOULD GIVE RANAE'S HOWL A TRY.

IS YOUR VOICE READY?

YEAH.

YEP. ALL RIGHT. 10 SECONDS.

MATT: Yeah, let it rip.

[ HOWLING ]

IT HAD SOME ECHO TO IT.

Matt: DID IT?

YEAH, IT DID.

HEY, HEY, HEY. SOMETHING HOWLED.

YOU GUYS HEAR THAT HOWL?

THERE IT IS AGAIN.

TWO.

[ ROARS ]

Bobo: YOU NEVER SEEN A THERMAL IMAGER BEFORE?

NO.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

IT LOOKS LIKE A YETI.

I LOOK LIKE A YETI?

YEAH.

[ ROARS ]

Matt: WE MADE OUR WAY UP TO NEARLY 14,000 FEET

INTO THE FOOTHILLS NEAR MOUNT EVEREST.

ARRIVING IN THE VILLAGE OF PANGBOCHE,

WE SPOKE TO THE LAMA WHO TOLD US TO LOOK FOR THE YETI

FURTHER UP IN THE ARUN VALLEY.

THIS IS WHERE WE SET UP CAMP

AND DECIDED TO HAVE OUR FIRST NIGHT INVESTIGATION.

USING OUR NORTH AMERICAN TECHNIQUES,

WE CALLED OUT, TRYING TO ELICIT A YETI RESPONSE.

AND, AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT,

WE JUST HEARD SOMETHING THAT REALLY CAUGHT OUR ATTENTION.

SOMETHING HOWLED.

THERE IT IS AGAIN. TWO.

DID YOU HEAR THAT?

I HEARD IT.

YOU GUYS HEAR THAT HOWL?

YEAH, WE JUST HEARD TWO OF THEM DOWN IN THE VALLEY.

SOMEONE IMITATED BACK.

NO, THOSE ARE SHERPAS WALKING WITH LIGHTS BELOW US.

BOBO: Total bummer. I thought we had something.

THE FACT THAT SHERPAS ARE WALKING AROUND

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR US.

IF WE'RE GONNA DO ANY SUCCESSFUL YETI'ing AROUND HERE,

WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO FIND A PLACE WITH LESS SHERPAS

WALKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DOWN THESE TRAILS.

HEY, BOBO, DO YOU COPY?

Yeah. What's going on, Matt?

IT'S STARTING TO RAIN ON US.

I want to make a beeline for the base camp.

SO LET'S JUST MEET UP THERE, AND WE'LL MAKE A PLAN FOR TOMORROW.

I WAS JUST TELLING RANAE

I THINK TONIGHT WAS JUST BASICALLY A RECON MISSION

AND A LITTLE INFO FOR US TO TAKE ON FURTHER INTO THE SEARCH.

YEAH, WHATEVER.

WE'RE GETTING WET. TELL US LATER.

[ CHUCKLES ]

ALL RIGHT. LET'S GET OUT OF HERE, MAN.

THIS WAY.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

SO WE HEARD SOME THINGS DOWN IN THE VALLEY,

BUT WE THINK THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN HUMANS.

YEAH.

MY LEGS ARE BUTTER NOW.

WERE YOU GUYS FINDING THAT ANYTIME YOU'D HAVE TO GO UP,

YOU'D GO DOWN AND THEN BACK UP AND DOWN AND UP?

WELL, WE WENT DOWN AND THEN ON THE WAY BACK, WE WENT UP.

[ LAUGHTER ]

THAT KIND OF SUMS IT UP PRETTY WELL.

YEAH, THIS PLACE HAS HILLS GOING EVERY DIRECTION.

YEAH, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN RANGE

IN THE WORLD WOULD BE SO STEEP?

HMM. GO FIGURE.

CAN YOU IMAGINE DOING IT WAY BACK THEN?

NO, THOSE WERE SOME BURLY MEN, FOR SURE.

I SAY WE HIT THE HAY.

LET'S HIT IT.

YEP.

[ COW MOOS ]

WE'RE HERE IN PANGOM IN THE HEART OF THE ARUN VALLEY.

AND WE DECIDED TO ASK FOR HELP

FROM SOME OF THE LOCAL VILLAGERS.

THIS WILL BE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR US

BECAUSE WE'RE IN FOREIGN LANDS HERE IN NEPAL.

WE'RE NOT STARTING WITH NEARLY AS MUCH INFORMATION

AS WE WOULD USUALLY HAVE IN NORTH AMERICA.

AND SINCE WE DON'T SPEAK THE LANGUAGE,

WE'VE GOT A TRANSLATOR HERE TO HELP US.

DEPENDING UPON WHAT THESE WITNESSES SAY TODAY,

WE MAY HAVE TO CHANGE UP OUR TECHNIQUES

IF WE WANT A FIGHTING CHANCE OF ENCOUNTERING A YETI.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

Cliff: I'M SURPRISED THAT SO MANY WITNESSES ARE HERE.

THAT JUST GOES TO SHOW ONCE YOU GET INTO THE AREA

AND GET YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND AND START ASKING AROUND,

PEOPLE HAVE SEEN YETIS.

THEY'RE JUST NOT TALKING ABOUT THEM,

OR AT LEAST THE WORD ISN'T LEAKING BACK TO WESTERNERS.

[ SPEAKING NEPALI ]

Interpreter: IN THE NIGHT, I HEARD SOMETHING I COULDN'T DESCRIBE.

IT WAS DARK, BUT I SAW A LIGHT AND CREPT UP TO IT.

ALL OF A SUDDEN, I SAW THE YETI RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

AND HE WAS MAKING A FIRE.

THE YETI WAS MAKING A FIRE?

YES. YETI WAS MAKING FIRE.

[ MAN SPEAKING NEPALI ]

Interpreter: WHEN I WAS YOUNGER,

I WAS TRAVELING TO ANOTHER VILLAGE MONASTERY.

I SAW SOMETHING ON THE HILLSIDE THAT SEEMED TO BE FOLLOWING ME.

IT WAS DARK-COLORED AND VERY LARGE.

AND IT MADE A NOISE -- A NOISE LIKE...

[ HOWLS ]

[ GROWLS ]

ONE TIME?

[ WOMAN SPEAKING NEPALI ]

OKAY.

[ SPEAKING NEPALI ]

Interpreter: I WAS CARRYING VEGETABLES HOME FROM MY FARM

JUST AFTER SUNDOWN.

AND SUDDENLY, ON THE TRAIL UP AHEAD, THERE WAS A YETI.

I WAS SO SCARED,

I DROPPED MY POTATOES AND JUST RAN BACK DOWN THE TRAIL.

EVENTUALLY, I LOOKED BACK, AND I THINK THE YETI ALSO RAN AWAY.

[ SPEAKING NEPALI ]

Interpreter: OVER THE SUMMER, I WAS TREKKING FROM MERA PEAK.

IN THE HILLS BEFORE THE ASCENT, I CAME ACROSS A SMALL POND.

AND THERE, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POND, I SAW A YETI.

HE WAS SITTING, EATING A FROG.

REALLY?

INTERESTING.

Shanta: YOU ALL RIGHT?

[ ROARS ]

[ ROARS ]

Matt: WE'VE COME TO NEPAL

AND VENTURED NEARLY 14,000 FEET UP INTO THE HIMALAYAN MOUNTAINS

IN SEARCH OF THE INFAMOUS ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN.

AFTER A FAILED NIGHT INVESTIGATION,

WE DECIDED TO REACH OUT TO A NEARBY VILLAGE FOR HELP.

MOSTLY, WE HEARD THINGS WE'VE COME TO EXPECT

FROM OUR ADVENTURES LOOKING FOR BIGFOOTS.

WHAT WE DIDN'T EXPECT WAS BOBO GETTING SICK

IN THE MIDDLE OF ONE OF THESE ACCOUNTS.

Shanta: YOU ALL RIGHT?

[ BOBO VOMITING ]

Bobo: I WAS SITTING THERE LISTENING TO ALL THESE GREAT WITNESSES

IN THE TOWN HALL MEETING, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN -- BAM --

I JUST LOST IT.

I HAD A SKETCHY MEAL AT THE KATHMANDU AIRPORT.

IT DIDN'T LOOK GOOD. IT DIDN'T TASTE GOOD.

BY THE TIME I GOT TO THE MOUNTAINS, I WAS PLENTY FOOD SICK.

NEPAL IS TOUGH. IT'S GNARLY UP HERE.

I'M JUST PRAYING TO THE CHURCH OF THE YETI

THAT I DON'T PUKE ANYMORE.

SHANTA, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

WITHOUT YOU, WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMMUNICATE TODAY.

DHANYAVAD.

DHANYAVAD.

WE HAD A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE SHOW UP,

AND THEY'VE GIVEN US SOME GOOD LEADS AS TO WHERE TO GO.

YOU'LL NOTICE SOMETHING INTERESTING, TOO.

THE ARUN VALLEY --

THE INCIDENTS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE WHERE THE VILLAGES ARE.

Cliff: SO LET'S SPLIT UP AND GO TO THE LOCATIONS

WHERE SOME OF THE WITNESSES SAW A YETI.

AND MAYBE THEY HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON.

MAYBE THAT'S GONNA HELP US FIND A YETI FOR OURSELVES.

WELL, I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT HASN'T GOTTEN TO DO

A SOLO EXPEDITION INTERNATIONALLY YET,

SO IT'S MY TURN.

AND I MET A SHERPA, AND HE TOLD ME

THAT OVER AT THIS LAKE, HERE, THAT THERE'S YETI LIVING THERE

AND HE CAN GUIDE ME DOWN THERE, SO I'M GONNA GO THERE

AND CHECK THAT OUT FOR ABOUT FOUR OR FIVE DAYS.

OH, YOU ARE SO LUCKY. THAT'D BE A GREAT PLACE TO GO.

BOBES IN THE HIMALAYAS. I'M SUPER PSYCHED.

THOSE GUYS ARE GONNA FOLLOW UP WITH THE WITNESSES,

LOOK FOR SOME FINAL NIGHT INVESTIGATION SPOTS,

NARROW IT DOWN, AND HOPEFULLY GET US SOME YETI ACTION.

OKAY, SO LET'S RECONVENE IN ABOUT FIVE DAYS.

BUT I THINK WE HAVE A GOOD PLAN TO START.

Bobo: ALL RIGHT.

Cliff: I'M TREKKING UP THE MOUNTAIN TO MEET WITH PASANG NAWGEL LAMA.

HIS ACCOUNT IS IMPORTANT TO US BECAUSE HE SAW IT VOCALIZING.

I NEED TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THAT.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE, SHANTA.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

CAN YOU PLEASE ASK HIM WHAT HE SAW?

Interpreter: I WAS TRAVELING TO ANOTHER VILLAGE MONASTERY

ON THE TRAIL THAT RUNS PAST HERE.

AND SUDDENLY, I HEARD A NOISE UP AHEAD.

[ GROWLS ]

I GOT SO SCARED, I RAN AWAY.

I WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SOUND IT MADE, SO...

[ SHRIEKS SOFTLY ]

[ HOWLS ]

[ HOWLS ]

NOW, AFTERWARDS, HE DID LIKE A [GROWLS]

[ HOWLS, GROWLS ]

[ HOWLS, GROWLS ]

[ HOWLS ]

[ HOWLS ]

[ GROWLS ]

I HAVE NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER

THAT PASANG NAWGEL LAMA ACTUALLY SAW A YETI.

I MEAN, REALLY, HOLY MEN AREN'T RENOWN

FOR BEING LIARS IN THE FIRST PLACE, RIGHT?

AND THE VOCALIZATION...

[ GROWLS ]

...AT THE END,

THAT GROWL IS SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN DOING

IN THE FIELD.

OUR FIRST NIGHT INVESTIGATION, WE UTTERLY LEFT THAT OFF.

BUT I GUARANTEE THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN.

[ GROWLS ]

[ COW LOWS ]

Ranae: MATT AND I ARE ON OUR WAY TO MEET WITH NGAWANG DAWA.

HE'S THE VILLAGER WHO CLAIMS TO HAVE SEEN A YETI

CROUCHING AT A POND, EATING FROGS.

[ GROWLS ]

MATT AND I WANT TO FOLLOW UP ON THIS REPORT

BECAUSE IT'S THE MOST RECENT SIGHTING

IN THE HIMALAYAN MOUNTAINS.

NAMASTE.

Matt: NAMASTE.

I TAKE IT THIS IS THE POND WHERE IT HAPPENED?

Interpreter: I WAS LOOKING FOR A NEW TREKKING ROUTE

WHEN I CAME UPON THIS SMALL POND.

WHEN I APPROACHED THE WATER'S EDGE,

I SAW A YETI ON THE OTHER SIDE.

AND IT WAS EATING FROGS.

CAN HE POINT AND SHOW WHERE IT IS?

Ranae: RIGHT IN THAT SMALL OPENING BETWEEN THE TREES?

YOU KNOW, AT THIS DISTANCE,

YOU'D BE ABLE TO SEE SOME FEATURES.

COULD YOU ASK HIM, PLEASE DESCRIBE,

WITH AS MUCH DETAIL, THE FACE -- WHAT YOU SAW -- THE HEAD?

MM-HMM.

MM-HMM.

MM-HMM.

Matt: HE SAID IT WAS KIND OF TRIANGLE-SHAPED IN THE HEAD.

I THINK THAT'S AN ADAPTATION TO LIVING IN RAINY AREAS.

JUST LIKE YOU'D HAVE A PEAKED ROOF,

HAVING A PEAK OF HAIR ACROSS THE TOP --

WOULDN'T NECESSARILY MEAN A SAGITTAL CREST.

IT COULD MEAN FUR THAT'S ALLOWING THE RAIN TO BEAD OFF.

NONE OF THOSE THINGS FIT WITH IT BEING A PERSON,

BUT ALL OF THEM FIT WITH IT BEING A YETI.

YOU KNOW, THE ONE THING FOR ME THAT'S DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND

IS IF THIS CREATURE'S SO ELUSIVE,

THEN WHY IS IT PICKING AN AREA WHERE IT'S SO OPEN AND EXPOSED?

I WOULD TEND TO THINK THAT THIS AREA

HAS VERY FEW PEOPLE COMING THROUGH IT.

SO IT PROBABLY DIDN'T THINK IF IT WAS THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES

THAT SOMEBODY WAS GONNA WALK BY AND SEE IT.

THAT WOULD EXPLAIN, TO ME, WHY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO VISIBLE.

LOOK AROUND -- OF COURSE,

THIS IS ONE OF THE 'SQUATCHIEST PLACES I'VE EVER SEEN.

YETI-ISH.

YEAH, GOOD POINT. YETI-ISH.

[ GROWLS ]

Bobo: THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

I GOT A REALLY GREAT GUIDE.

I GOT LAKPHA THE SHERPA.

HE GREW UP IN THIS VALLEY.

AND HE SAID HE COULD TAKE ME TO A LAKE WHERE HIS ANCESTORS --

ALL HIS RELATIVES, SINCE HE WAS A LITTLE KID, HAVE TOLD HIM

YETI LIVES AT THIS LAKE, AND HE'LL TAKE ME THERE TO CAMP.

BUT NOW YOU'RE GONNA HELP ME FIND THE YETI, RIGHT?

YEAH.

WHERE ARE WE GOING?

WE ARE GOING OUT THERE TO THE JUNGLE.

THE YETI SPOT?

YEAH. YEAH.

OKAY, MAN, I WANT TO GO THERE, AND I'LL FOLLOW YOU.

I CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW LAKPHA THE SHERPA SOME OF OUR TECHNIQUES.

AND I KNOW HE'S NEVER SEEN

THIS KIND OF TECHNOLOGY UP HERE BEFORE.

AFTER THE LONG TREK IN, WE'LL SET UP A TENT,

WAIT FOR NIGHT TO FALL, AND TRY TO STIR UP A YETI.

ALL RIGHT, LAKPHA, ARE YOU READY TO GO FIND A YETI?

Lakpha: YES.

Bobo: HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A THERMAL IMAGER BEFORE?

NO.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THAT?

IT LOOKS LIKE A YETI.

I LOOK LIKE A YETI?

YEAH.

BIG HANDS.

HUNCHED OVER.

YEAH, AND --

LONG ARMS.

YETI LOOKS LIKE YOU.

[ LAUGHS ]

THAT'S THE NICEST THING ANYONE'S EVER SAID TO ME.

THIS IS A SASQUATCH CALL FROM AMERICA.

[ EXHALES SHARPLY ]

[ HOWLING ]

OH. ECHO.

[ HOWLING ]

[ GROWLS ]

Bobo: DID YOU HEAR THAT?

LAKPHA, DID YOU SEE ANYTHING ON THE THERM?

[ ROARS ]

[ ROARS ]

Matt: WE'VE VENTURED INTO NEPAL

LOOKING FOR THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN,

OR THE YETI, AS THE LOCALS CALL IT.

AFTER SPLITTING UP, RANAE AND I SPOKE WITH A WITNESS

WHO DESCRIBED THE YETI EATING FROGS.

INFORMATION LIKE THIS LEADS US TO BELIEVE THE YETI

IS MUCH MORE LIKE THE NORTH AMERICAN SASQUATCH

THAN WE THOUGHT.

MEANWHILE, BOBO WENT CAMPING

WITH A SHERPA GUIDE NAMED LAKPHA,

WHO KNOWS THE AREA AND SAYS THIS SPOT IS RIFE WITH YETI ACTIVITY.

AND SURE ENOUGH, AFTER LAKPHA'S YETI CALL,

THEY HEARD SOMETHING RESPOND.

Bobo: WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT WAS?

MAYBE YETI.

MAYBE A YETI?

YEAH.

WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT SOUND?

BUT WHAT DID IT SOUND LIKE?

IT SOUNDED LIKE [ HOWLS ]

YEAH. FAR AWAY.

YEAH.

AND THERE'S NOBODY THAT LIVES DOWN THERE.

THE SHERPA VILLAGE IS DIRECTLY BEHIND US TO THE RIGHT.

WHAT WE HEARD WAS DOWN THE MOUNTAIN THAT WAY.

YEAH.

I MEAN, WE HEARD SOMETHING CLEAR AS DAY.

Bobo: THAT SOUND WAS NOT FROM A HUMAN

AND NOT FROM A KNOWN ANIMAL.

IT HAS TO BE A YETI.

WE STAYED OUT FOR A FEW MORE HOURS

USING THE THERM, DOING CALLS.

BUT, AS 'SQUATCHING LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, WE GOT RAINED OUT.

LET'S JUST GO INSIDE TILL THE RAIN PASSES.

BUT THIS AREA IS WHERE WE HAVE TO FOCUS.

Matt: ALL THREE OF US ARE GONNA GO CHECK OUT NGAWANG SHERPA.

HE WAS THE GUY WHO WAS CARRYING A BASKET OF POTATOES,

AND HE SAID A YETI WAS WALKING THE OTHER WAY TOWARD HIM.

NAMASTE.

NAMASTE.

Matt: HOPEFULLY WE CAN LEARN SOME THINGS FROM THIS INCIDENT

THAT WILL HELP US FIGURE OUT WHERE WE SHOULD GO HERE.

AND THIS IS WHERE IT HAPPENED?

YES. YES.

OKAY.

Interpreter: IT WAS IN THE WINTERTIME RIGHT BEFORE SUNSET.

I WAS WALKING THE TRAIL HOME BY MYSELF

CARRYING VEGETABLES FROM MY FARM.

I CAME TO A BEND AND SAW THE YETI

ONLY 15 FEET FROM WHERE I WAS STANDING.

[ ROARS ]

I KNOW SOME OF THE OTHER VILLAGERS

HAVE SEEN BEARS IN THESE HILLS.

WE JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE, AT THAT DISTANCE,

IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BEAR

OR EVEN A PERSON?

Cliff: I'M CONTINUALLY IMPRESSED WITH THESE STORIES.

THESE PEOPLE ARE SO ISOLATED.

THERE'S NO PHONE, NO TELEVISION, NO INTERNET.

I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THEY'RE LYING.

IT'S NOT LIKE THEY'RE GONNA GET FAMOUS OR SOMETHING.

BUT LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS A LITTLE BIT MORE CLOSELY.

WE HAVE TO ELIMINATE THE POSSIBILITY THAT HE SAW A BEAR.

OKAY, SO, HOW TALL WAS THIS THING?

TELL ME WHEN TO STOP MY HAND.

YEAH, THAT MUCH.

RIGHT THERE? THAT'S BARELY OVER SIX FEET.

NOW, HOW WIDE WAS IT?

TELL ME WHEN TO STOP MY HANDS FOR THE SHOULDERS, OKAY?

YES. THAT MUCH.

Matt: OKAY. OKAY. YEAH.

WELL, THAT'S PRETTY WIDE. THAT'S ANOTHER SIX INCHES ON ME.

NOW, AS FAR AS COLOR GOES, IS IT DARKER THAN MY HAIR?

NO OFFENSE, CLIFF, BUT THE HAIR WAS MORE BLACK.

IS IT LIKE THE COLOR THAT RANAE DIES HER HAIR?

[ LAUGHTER ]

Cliff: I MEAN, I MAY NOT BE A TALL MAN,

BUT I'M, YOU KNOW, I'M FAIRLY BROAD-SHOULDERED.

AND THIS THING HAD AT LEAST SIX INCHES ON MY SHOULDERS.

THIS THING WAS NOT HUMAN.

[ ROARS ]

WE ASKED NGAWANG SHERPA, AS WELL,

"ANY CHANCE THIS COULD BE A BEAR OR ANOTHER PERSON OR SOMETHING?"

BECAUSE, AFTER ALL, HE DID ONLY GET A GLIMPSE OF THIS THING.

AND HE SAID, "NO. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

100% SURE THAT THIS THING WAS A YETI."

Matt: JUST IMAGINE THE SETTING.

HE'S UP HERE ALONE AROUND SUNDOWN.

TO HAVE A SIGHTING LIKE THAT, IT'D JUST BE MIND-BLOWING.

I DON'T THINK HE HAS ANY MOTIVATION WHATSOEVER TO LIE.

Ranae: GOING TO THE SPOT WITH NGAWANG SHERPA,

I LEARNED A LOT OF DETAILS.

HE HAD A VERY BRIEF GLIMPSE OF THE CREATURE.

IT WAS ON A STEEP TRAIL,

WHICH WOULD MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO JUDGE HEIGHT.

BUT MOST OF ALL, IT WAS 6:00 IN THE WINTER.

THE VISIBILITY WOULD BE DIFFICULT.

THAT COULD BE ABOUT ANYTHING.

[ GROWLS ]

Bobo: I'M NOT SURE WHAT LAKPHA SAW ON THE THERM,

BUT I CAN TELL YOU THIS --

NEITHER ONE OF US HAD EVER HEARD THAT CALL BEFORE

FROM ANY KNOWN ANIMAL.

Bobo: LAKPHA!

YES.

LAKPHA.

YES.

COME HERE.

STOP. LOOK.

OH. THE YETI.

[ ROARS ]

CLIFF! CLIFF! CLIFF! YOU GOT TO THERM UP.

THERE'S SOMETHING BREAKING BRUSH UP THE HILL.

I THINK IT'S FOLLOWING US.

[ ROARS ]

Matt: WE'VE FLOWN INTO NEPAL IN SEARCH OF THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN,

OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE YETI.

BOBO HAS GONE OFF SOLO,

AND NOT ONLY HAS HE HEARD

WHAT HE THINKS ARE VOCALIZATIONS...

DUDE, I THINK WE HEARD A YETI.

...BUT HE AND HIS SHERPA GUIDE

ALSO CAME UPON SOME POSSIBLE YETI TRACKS.

THIS ONE IS THE YETI.

MAYBE A YETI?

YETI. YEAH.

YEAH, YOU CAN SEE THE TOES.

TOES DUG IN HERE.

YEAH.

HIND FOOT.

PUT THAT AROUND IT.

I'M GONNA PUT A SCALE ITEM DOWN THERE

TILL I GET THE TAPE MEASURE.

[ CAMERA BEEPS ]

Bobo: ON THE WAY BACK TO BASE

I'M GONNA BE KEEPING MY EYES PEELED FOR MORE TRACKS.

HEY.

HEY, BOBES.

YOU'RE NOT GONNA BELIEVE IT.

WHERE I WAS TOLD THE YETI LIVES,

WE WERE DOING CALLS.

DOWN THE HILL,

JUST LIKE ALL THE PEOPLE SAID THEY HEARD,

THAT'S WHAT WE HEARD.

IT WAS A YETI.

DUDE, I THINK WE HEARD A YETI.

AND LAKPHA CAUGHT SOMETHING ON THERM,

BUT IT DISAPPEARED BEFORE WE COULD GET A GOOD LOOK AT IT.

WHAT DID IT SOUND LIKE?

SOUND MADE LIKE THIS.

[ HOWLS ]

YEAH.

WELL, WE FOUND BEAR AND DEER TRACKS AROUND A LAKE.

THEY WERE PRETTY PREVALENT.

AND THEN COMING DOWN,

THERE WAS THIS ONE WEIRD SLIDE TRACK THAT WENT --

AND YOU COULD SEE THE TOES.

I COVERED IT, AND THEN IT DUMPED 10 INCHES OF RAIN THAT NIGHT,

SO IT WAS JUST WASHED OUT.

Cliff: WELL, THERE SEEMS TO BE TRACE EVIDENCE ALL OVER THE PLACE HERE,

BUT IF YOU HAD A POSSIBLE

YETI VOCALIZATION THIS PAST WEEK,

I MEAN, IT'S UNQUESTIONABLE.

WE NEED TO GO THERE FOR TONIGHT.

YEAH, I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE BUT THAT LAKE.

I'M CERTAIN I HEARD A YETI THERE,

'CAUSE THE SHERPAS WERE POSITIVE THAT'S WHAT THE SOUND WAS.

Matt: BOBO'S THE ONLY ONE WHO GOT ANY ACTION,

SO I THINK GOING UP TO THAT LAKE WHERE HE STAYED

IS THE BEST IDEA.

THERE'S OPEN AREAS UP THERE SURROUNDED BY GREAT HABITAT

THAT'S FULL OF ANIMALS.

THAT AREA UP THERE IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR AN ENCOUNTER.

AND I ALSO ARRANGED FOR A LITTLE BACKUP.

I THINK YOU GUYS ARE GONNA TRIP OUT ON THIS. YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT A LOT.

IT'S A SURPRISE.

LET'S GO.

ALL RIGHT. LAKE'S THIS WAY.

Bobo: I'M CERTAIN OUR BEST ODDS

TO ENCOUNTER A YETI ARE RIGHT HERE IN THIS AREA.

SO OF ALL MY SURPRISES FOR THE TEAM,

I THINK THEY'RE GONNA LIKE THIS ONE THE BEST OF ALL MY SURPRISES.

HERE COME THE BIG BOYS.

THESE MONKS ARE GOOD LUCK.

I REALLY WANT THEM TO COME OUT WITH US ON OUR LAST NIGHT INVESTIGATION.

[ MONKS THROAT SINGING ]

[ HORNS BLOWING, BELLS RINGING ]

[ DRUM BEATING ]

WELL, IF THAT DOESN'T DRAW ATTENTION TO HERE,

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.

Matt: IF THEY HEAR SOME UNUSUAL SOUNDS,

IT'S ALMOST AN IRRESISTIBLE THING FOR THEM

TO COME AND TRY AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON.

SO THEY CAN STAY HERE, DO WHAT THEY'RE DOING,

AND WE'RE GONNA BREAK UP INTO TWO TEAMS, GO UP IN THE HILLS,

AND THEY'RE GONNA HEAR US DO SOME YETI CALLS.

BUT IF THEY HEAR A YETI CALL FROM THAT WAY, IT'S NOT US.

[ LAUGHTER ]

NAMASTE.

OKAY, SHANTA, ONCE AGAIN,

WE JUST WANT TO THANK THEM FOR COMING OUT,

WELL, LET'S LET THE MONKS GET TO IT, AND LET'S HIT THE ROAD.

[ MONKS THROAT SINGING ]

[ BELLS RINGING ]

[ HORNS BLOWING ]

CHECK IT OUT, MATT. TREES OPEN UP RIGHT HERE.

Matt: OH, YEAH.

THE MONKS ARE GOING OFF.

SO, MAYBE TO A YETI, IT MIGHT SOUND LIKE A VOCAL.

IT MIGHT SOUND LIKE, YOU KNOW --

YEAH, NEVER KNOW.

THE THROAT.

Bobo: LET'S GET SOME YETI.

OKAY, RANAE.

THOSE CALLS CAME FROM RIGHT DOWN THERE

LESS THAN A QUARTER-MILE.

THIS VALLEY DOWN HERE, HUH?

YEAH.

SO, MATT, THE LOCALS ARE SAYING THAT THE YETIS MAKE A CALL

LIKE A HIGH-PITCHED, LONG THING FOLLOWED BY A LOW GRUMBLE --

[GROWLS] -- AT THE VERY, VERY END OF IT.

SO WHY DON'T WE DO IT IN TANDEM?

YOU DO THE [GROWLS] AS LOUD AS YOU --

'CAUSE YOU GOT A REALLY GOOD LOW THING GOING.

SURE.

RANAE, THIS IS MATT.

LISTEN, CLIFF AND I ARE GONNA DO A TANDEM THING

THAT THE LOCALS SHOWED US.

COPY.

[ HOWLS ]

[ GROWLS ]

AH! GOT ONE ON MY FACE!

LITTLE BASTARD.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT, BOBES?

GOD. HE'S GNAWING ME HARD, TOO.

YOU SUCKER.

OH! LEECH ON MY [BLEEP] NECK.

YOU KNOW, TRAVELING TO PLACES LIKE THIS

REALLY MAKES ME REALIZE HOW BENIGN NORTH AMERICA REALLY IS.

[ Chuckling ] YEAH. EXACTLY.

RATTLESNAKES, POISON OAK --

ALL THAT STUFF, I'M COOL WITH IT.

I'M NOT INTO PARASITES.

[ RUSTLING ]

DID YOU HEAR SOMETHING?

HAD A BRANCH BREAK THIS WAY.

I HEARD IT.

WHOA!

Hear that?

[ ROARS ]

Narrator: THE ANSWER IS "C," SIX.

THE "FINDING BIGFOOT" TEAM HAS TRAVELED TO CANADA, AUSTRALIA,

VIETNAM, INDONESIA, CHINA, AND NEPAL.

[ ROARS ]

Matt: AFTER SPLITTING UP TO TALK TO MULTIPLE WITNESSES,

WE DISCOVERED THAT THE YETI IS NOT UNLIKE BIGFOOTS,

AND YETI VOCALIZATIONS ARE VERY SPECIFIC.

[ HOWLS ]

[ GROWLS ]

AND WITH A LITTLE HELP

FROM BOBO'S NEW FRIENDS AT THE MONASTERY,

WE THINK WE HAVE A GOOD STRATEGY FOR LURING OUT

ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST MYSTERIOUS CREATURES,

AND WE JUST HEARD SOMETHING THAT COULD BE A YETI.

MATT: Bobo and Ranae, this is Matt.

We thought we might've heard something over here.

I'M HEARING THE EXACT SAME THING. GOES, "WHOO."

CLIFF! CLIFF! CLIFF! YOU GOT TO THERM UP.

THERE'S SOMETHING BREAKING BRUSH UP THE HILL.

DUDE, I HAD HEARD IT. I THINK IT'S FOLLOWING US.

I HAD HEARD IT BACK IN THAT DIRECTION,

BUT I JUST HEARD IT AGAIN UP THERE

AS IF IT'S KIND OF PARALLELING US.

[ RUSTLING ]

I JUST HEARD ANOTHER STICK BREAK UP THE HILL.

JUST LISTEN FOR A MINUTE.

IF THEY WERE TO COME UP TO CHECK OUT WHAT'S GOING ON,

YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ALWAYS DO?

THEY'LL GET UP ON THE HILLSIDE ABOVE YOU.

WELL, IF IT'S PARALLELING US,

THAT COULD REALLY ONLY BE A YETI,

BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY KIND OF THING THAT'S BIG

THAT'S GONNA FOLLOW YOU AND MAKE NOISE IN THE PROCESS.

Cliff: I JUST SEE TREE COVER PRETTY MUCH EVERYWHERE.

Matt: BUT THE BRUSH IS SO THICK,

THAT FOLIAGE IS BLOCKING ANY THERMAL SIGNATURES

THAT OUR CAMERA MIGHT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO PICK UP.

WE'VE SPENT A FEW HOURS OUT HERE NOW.

WE'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. WE'VE DONE VOCALIZATIONS.

WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY RESPONSES.

WE DIDN'T HEAR THE CONTINUATION OF SOMETHING PARALLELING US.

NOW IT'S TIME TO GO MEET UP WITH BOBO AND RANAE

TO SEE IF THEY HAVE BETTER NEWS.

WELL?

WELL, I COULD HEAR SOMETHING COMING ACROSS THE HILLSIDE.

WE TRIED TO THERM IT, BUT THAT CANOPY IS SO THICK.

YOU JUST CAN'T SEE THROUGH THE GROUND THROUGH THERE.

HEY, WELL, I HEARD A YETI THE OTHER NIGHT,

AND THAT MADE THIS TRIP THE BEST EXPEDITION I'VE EVER HAD.

WE'RE IN THE HIMALAYAS 'SQUATCHING WITH MONKS.

YEAH, LET'S DO IT.

ALL RIGHT.

Bobo: I HEARD A YETI.

I MIGHT NOT HAVE RECORDED IT, BUT I HEARD IT.

AND THERE'S ALMOST NO ONE IN THE WORLD THAT CAN SAY THAT.

WE KNOW THEY'RE OUT THERE.

NEPAL IS AN INCREDIBLY VAST WILDERNESS.

IT WOULD LITERALLY TAKE A LIFETIME TO EXPLORE IT ALL.

KNOWING THE 'SQUATCH

HAS A COUSIN LIKE THE YETI LIVING UP HERE

MAKES ME REALLY WANT TO COME BACK AND DO SOME MORE SEARCHING.

OUR TIME IN NEPAL HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT ADVENTURE.

Choosing Images For Your Photography Website - Duration: 4:57.

You only have one chance to make a first impression on potential clients that land on your photography

website.

Are you making the right impression?

Are you 100% confident that the images the potential client of yours will see when they

first arrive on your website will compel them to either love what you do or think, "Mm,

this photographer isn't for me."

If not, stick around, and I'm going to show you how to choose images for your website

galleries.

There are so many moving parts to being a photographer.

There's always an ever-growing to-do list, and it seems like sometimes we treat our website

portfolios as one-and-done.

We've done it, there it is, and it takes us months, often years to revisit that website

portfolio and update it.

I think it's so important to go through our portfolios once if not twice a season,

every six months, and make sure that we're communicating that right message to our couples

that land on our website because what we often forget is that sometimes our website is the

only touchpoint, and certainly the first touchpoint a potential client will see.

They're not necessarily clicking over to our blog and our Instagram and seeing our recent

shoots.

They're seeing what we have said this is our curated portfolio.

That's what they're viewing, and that's how they're deciding whether or not to contact

us.

Do you have a list of words that you want your photography or that you hope your photography

expresses?

If you do, that's great.

If you don't, what I'm going to have you do is go through your website portfolio right

now, or a wedding blog post you love.

If you know your website's out-of-date, don't bother going there.

Go to a website, sorry, a wedding blog post that you love, and as you scroll through the

images, take note of what kind of feelings, emotions, and words come to mind.

What do these images remind you of, and start to make a big list.

You can cross off the ones you don't like later.

For me, some of these words would be joyful, genuine, candid, smiley, authentic, bright,

colorful.

Those words describe what I want my work to feel like and what I want my work to look

like.

Now that you have these words, you can go back through your website gallery and ask

yourself every image that is on your website, do I want to recreate this image in the future,

and does this image fit with the words of my brand of my business?

What I mean by this is if you have a website, or sorry, an image on your website of a wedding

party, say jumping, the classic wedding party jumping shot, and you don't like taking jumping

wedding party shots.

Why is it on your website?

Be ruthless.

Look through your website images and think, if I client came to me and said, "We love

that image.

We want to do that on our wedding day," would you want to do it, or would you be kind of

annoyed?

That is not your client's fault.

That's your fault because you're showing them what you don't want to create, so we need

you to do the opposite.

We need to make sure that the images we're showing our clients on our website is 100%

the work we want to create and the ideal work that our client would love.

Unsure if you're on the right track when it comes to images in your website gallery?

You're going to want to grab my freebies.

You can head to jamiedelainewatson.com/galleryaudit.

This is going to be a great checklist that you can work through once or twice a season

as you update your website.

It's going to give you a list of criteria that you can check mark as you complete it,

and we're going to make sure that website is attracting the right kind of client.

When choosing your website images, I recommend less is more.

Clients are not going to look through 80 images in a website gallery.

They're going to click through about 20, maybe 25, so be very selective when it comes to

these wedding galleries.

Know that you need to put your best work at the very front, so that means on your home

page, and that means the first five images of your website gallery.

You always have to be asking yourself as they progress further in the gallery, if my client

only got this far, is this a best representation of my work and what I love to do?

If not, things need to be rearranged.

For me, personally, if I go on to a photographer's website, and the first image in their wedding

gallery is a shoe shot, you better be all about shoes.

You love details.

Your bride is obsessed with shoes, will definitely have designer shoes at her wedding.

For me, that's not really my bride.

That's not really my lane, so I'm not going to have a shoe shot in the first five images

in my wedding gallery.

Instead, I'm going to have joyful, smiley, bride and groom photos.

See what I'm saying there?

We need to be analyzing this along the way.

What is the best for our specific audience?

Thanks for being here today.

If you needed that checklist link again, it's jamiedelainewatson.com/galleryaudit.

Download that, work through your website right now, and then leave a comment with a link

to your website.

I would love to check it out and give my feedback.

Thanks for being here.

I Think I'm Knocked Up After the IUI | Did it Work? - Duration: 14:15.

I think I'm pregnant like..for real, for real

let's get those babies ladies good morning happy Wednesday

today is Wednesday June 6 happy hump day to ya happy

hump day to ya happy hump day if you are new here welcome what's up girl let's

get to know each other click the subscribe button if you are returning

welcome back what's up fertility fam new folks I'm

glad you found us some it's a great family here please consider joining the

family here so you hit the subscribe button let me know what brought you here

where you are on your journey if you're just starting out if you're thinking

I'll shout you out in the video yeah so it's Wednesday I am two days

away from testing and trying not to go crazy with the symptoms body I say

this every recycle but yeah I woke up I had to go to the restroom like crazy

and I didn't have that much to drink so I would say yeah frequent urgent

urination it's either a pregnancy symptom or I'm coming down

with a urinary tract infection or what people call a bladder infection. I hope is

not the latter and still the strange thing going on with my boobs with the

areolas that I mentioned yesterday and they're quite sensitive but let's get

all these signs of AF they could be the estrogen patch so I'm not going to read

too much into it but girl even though I say I'm not symptom spotting those

symptoms are like hey hey hey so I'm just letting you know what's going on

all right I'm getting dressed I've got acupuncture today and a lot of stuff to

do it work so hopefully it goes by quick and not too painful tomorrow

we're out half the day because we're gonna do like escape the room let me

know cuz I'm a little scared there's not some people on my team that I want to be

stuck in a room with yeah it's all the leadership teams so I don't know who's

gonna be running operations over gone and yeah we'll see it's what's mecha

bonding and then there's drinking afterwards which as you know I won't be

drinking because I think so I'm not even gonna do a pregnancy test like last time

I took the pregnancy test so I could drink I'm not doing it I just have a

feeling I'm gonna claim it and if I'm wrong oh well when I would no drinking

not gonna kill me so yeah there would be no bull riding though we're gonna escape

a room and there's like one of the like the president of one of our departments

is coming so like I work for a large corporation and each organization has

their own president so the president of like the owned stations is coming

Valerie Staab, to talk to us so she is responsible for the owned NBC

network and Telemundo so she's coming and talk to us

tomorrow but we'll talk about that tomorrow and then Friday is that

softball game that got postponed so I have to take my beta test ride a morning

which is downtown on 59th Street and then I gotta go back up the softball

game is in Englewood Cliffs so I don't know if you're familiar with New York

but I'll just say my office is down by 50th where I need to take the blood test

is 59 to get to Englewood Cliffs (NJ) I gotta go to 168 Street which is the George

Washington Street Bridge like I live at 140...

well my stop is 145 I live at 139 if it was a normal day and I did not have to

go downtown for my blood work I would just shoot up an uber from my house and

I'd be right there now we're gonna take an uber from down there it's not that

dramatic but it's just like an extra logistic because there's a shuttle that

will pick you up at 30 rock except the shuttle comes at 7:00 and my boy work is

at 8:00 so I have to figure it out I gotta figure it out um it's not a big

deal except I have to have a reason for to tell my boss like why I'm not gonna

be on that shuttle I'm in a charge and over to the company and it can be like

I'm taking a pregnancy test right so I gotta figure that part out I'm sure I'll

be okay but it is what it is right all right let me get dressed I'm rattling I

hope that your Wednesday is starting off well and let's see what kind of

shenanigans we're gonna get into today

humidity will come and I'm just gonna remember days like this yeah I wanted to

tell you guys too so I know the last week or two weeks ago know how I said I

was rethinking fertility Sunday Monday and I was gonna kill or retool psycho

science Sunday and I think oh thank you and then some of you guys like sonica

came in and said that you found it useful even though it wasn't getting a

lot of you so I thought what about if I get your feedback on what you want to

see and then I make those videos and that has ended up being successful

so far for the channel because for example mrs. living in Hope had the idea

about the supplements like I had done a 60 second what I used to call the TTC

quickies ha ha about my supplements but I didn't talk

to in the video I just did like a fast motion of all the supplements I use and

then she said I can't see all the supplements can you do a video where you

talk about what they are why you use them so I did that one that is one of my

most popular videos now from that video people asked me specifically about DHE

and Co Q 10 ubiquinol so I did a separate video that

one is the most-watched video on my channel and then in one of my talk

videos I talked about the Stork OTC and tamika TTC says she would be interested

in seeing like what my thoughts are and what does it look like and how do I use

it started a video on that versus the softcup and that also is a popular video

so I think you guys know what you want to see and if you guys want to see it

other people want to see it so let me know what videos you want to see like

what topics are you interested in me discussing more is it acupuncture like

more detail to what those meetings are like because there are things we go over

in those meetings like they take my poles I stick my tongue out and it

changes every week um do you want to know more about that I don't know so you

guys let me know and then I think will base those

like informative videos where I'm not vlogging on what you guys want to see

and then we'll figure out how frequent they are maybe they're not every Monday

or every Sunday maybe it's once a month maybe it's once every two months like

let's not let it be forced because I want it to be useful and I really do

enjoy doing those but I also want people to watch it because it does take time to

put it together so if it's not useful then I'm just wasting my time right so

yeah let's just do it that way all right let me get myself to work I didn't want

to come on and say that and I hope I also want to say I hope you guys are

taking care of yourselves and something struck me after my therapy session

yesterday when we feel better about ourselves we become more entitled and I

know entitled sometimes has like a negative connotation not entitled I'm

like you owe me this you owe me that but entitled and understanding that you

deserve better and I think once you feel better about yourselves you come to that

realization and I think that starts with taking care of yourself once you start

taking care of yourself you realize oh I do deserve to have a long bad but I do

deserve to have 20 minutes to myself I deserve to be taken care of and you

deserve to be taken care of first by yourself and then surrounding yourself

with people in your life who support that I think that is so important on

this journey because we get so frazzled with like what is going on and what's

happening if this man is honking at me I sort of God anyway

so I think like as I've gone on this journey I've come to realize more like

even standing up to my therapist yesterday because again I'm not one to

like do constructive feedback I usually will just tell you often that'll be it

but I didn't want to like discontinue that relationship side but I wanted to

have that conversation so I felt like I was being treated the way I felt I

deserved to be cheated and she was totally okay with that

so I'm glad I did it because it was hard I was nervous but anyway so I think as

we go on this journey we're you so much of our bodies and our minds

right because we know this is a mind game that we really have to focus on

taking care of ourselves and digging out like what we deserve from ourselves and

from the people in our lives so that came to me earlier and I wanted to talk

to you guys about it you deserve to be treated well you just

have to relax and pamper yourself so please do that please know that and try

to incorporate it I know it's hard I know we're busy but put yourself first

but your life mask on first you know and commit some time to yourself love

yourself I love you I want you to love you too

alright enough of that mmm talk to you guys a little bit I'm sure

my appointment tonight is at 5:40 so I'm leaving a little bit early waiting for

the light pops you guys when I get there I think well I'll tell you when I get

I think I'm pregnant like girl fro and the lady who did my Paul's she said it's

strong it's a different landing than he did last week so she can't say like it's

stronger than last week but I mean the restroom is entering of the restroom

again I went to the restroom before I came here I'm going to the restroom all

day my bows are super full my tummy is still tingling like I think I'm pregnant

all right all right hopefully you guys heard me I was in the bathroom and

someone was waiting to get in there but yeah I feel like I feel like all the

songs that I haven't felt more than any other cycles like I think this is it so

I was trying not to freak out I still AM so I become one with the game plan

because I said I didn't want to test and then it come up and be negative and I be

sad or be positive and then I have this character he's freaked out about it so

I'm gonna save all my bang for a one buck Friday is my already scheduled beta

test I think of that morning I will get up and test at home and see what it

comes up whatever it is then I'll know for sure with the beta later that day

but then that way I can front myself it's negative and I'm not gonna you know

I'll be like okay it was the estrogen it's positive then I'm just gonna pray

like crazy and wait for the beta to see where I am

pray that it's a sticky baby and they don't have another miscarriage so yeah

I'm excited about that she did tell me about being careful of

the Cayenne that I've been adding to my beef bone ball she said the ginger is

okay because it's warming but the kind of just being heat and to be mindful of

that but the heat cannot be too much heat is .. it's not always a

good thing so just be mindful of that so I was like okay no one had said that

before so I feel good yeah a little sleepy I guess that I've been

working the restroom like crazy I told her that I had had the cramping she said

that that was unusual on estrogen but there is no book on it everybody's gonna

respond differently so it could be a symptom of estrogen it could be a

pregnancy sometime when she brought my pulse she was like oh is probably the

progesterone that you're taking and I was like oh no no no progesterone I'm not

taking that so she said it was nice and strong which

as you know when you're preggers your blood blood increases and my boobs keep

getting bigger so I noticed that when I was not sure so I'm kind of freaking out

but we're just gonna stay calm yeah I think you're gonna close out now

you guys because I'm gonna get home and relax a little bit and just some

coloring and try to calm myself so missin off thank you so much for

watching you like this video please give it a thumbs up cuz remember and share it

with anyone who might find it interesting

remember to take good care of yourself all right

talk to you later bye they beat us to y'all to make the rainbow
