Youtube daily report Jun 5 2018

[♪ INTRO]

It happens all the time in Star Trek and other science fiction shows:

At the press of a button, a starship is able to whiz right past the speed of light,

off to explore strange new worlds.

Of course, thanks to the laws of physics, real life isn't quite as fun,

because nothing can go faster than the speed of light.

Even Voyager 1, the fastest thing we've ever sent out of the solar system,

would take more than 17,000 years to travel one measly light-year.

Still, that has not stopped engineers from dreaming of ways to explore other worlds.

Many ideas have come and gone, but one of the most ambitious and influential

was Project Daedalus.

It was thought up in the 1970s, and it proposed a way we could get to a star

almost six light-years away... in less than 50 years.

Project Daedalus was conceived by the British Interplanetary Society, a group founded

in the 1930s, long before we'd launched anything into space.

Their first project was designing a concept for a moon rocket,

and later, they also studied how we could use German missiles for human spaceflight.

Admittedly, they didn't by any stretch have the resources to build these spacecraft themselves.

Instead, it was a group of academics and engineers trying to study,

on paper, the feasibility of such a mission using present or near-future technology.

Maybe another group would someday be interested in the building part.

Still, if nothing else, this team did have ambition.

They began Project Daedalus in 1973 and published their final plan only five years later.

Their goal was to get a robotic, uncrewed spaceship to around 12% the speed of light,

or about 36,000 kilometers per second,

and send it to study a target called Barnard's Star.

This star is about six light-years away, so it isn't the closest one to Earth.

But at the time, astronomers thought it had something no other nearby star did: planets.

Specifically, two of them, which had supposedly been discovered in the 1960s.

After accelerating to its max speed, Daedalus would be able to get there in only 50 years,

well within the span of a human lifetime.

Instead of relying on future inventions, the group wanted to use only contemporary or near

future technology to propel their spacecraft.

So instead of waiting around for something like an antimatter engine,

they settled on nuclear explosions. As you do.

Their proposed design was a sort of odd, bubbly-looking thing,

essentially, a rocket with a belt of round nukes in the middle.

The idea was to create a series of small nuclear explosions to build up momentum for the craft.

Each explosion would accelerate it more and more over the course of about five years,

until it reached those incredible speeds.

Although this nuclear stuff was an extreme idea, it wasn't an especially new one.

Across the pond, NASA had long been pursuing nuclear propulsion technology,

including with Project Orion, in the 1950s and '60s.

But that program was shut down by nuclear treaties.

Thankfully, Daedalus only proposed using coin-sized pellets instead of full-on nuclear bombs like NASA,

so their engine might not have been a problem if anyone ever wanted to build this ship

But that didn't mean Daedalus didn't have other issues.

For one, even though it used nukes instead of heavy, conventional fuel,

the ship alone would still have weighed about 2400 metric tons,

which is 18 times bigger than the largest payload ever carried to orbit.

Also, as the engineers soon realized, conventional nukes wouldn't even be enough:

In order to have enough fuel and power, they'd actually need fusion.

This process involves synthesizing two elements into a heavier one,

then utilizing the excess energy.

But we don't even have efficient fusion technology today.

So, like antimatter engines, this tech was part of the "not coming any time soon" category.

Even if the Daedalus team had managed to get all that sorted out, though,

there would have been even more issues once the mission was underway.

Like, the farther the craft got from Earth, the harder it would be to communicate with it.

And any repairs would be almost impossible without fairly advanced artificial intelligence,

which definitely wasn't a thing in the 1970s.

Oh, and, one small detail, the news also broke partway through the Daedalus study that

Barnard's Star didn't actually have planets.

These were false signals created by routine telescope maintenance.

So, the odds of ever making this mission a reality kind of plummeted.

It became a dream for the far future and, eventually, faded from the popular imagination.

Of course this doesn't mean we're done exploring the galaxy, though.

These days, a mission like Project Daedalus might actually be close to possible.

Or at least, closer.

Some groups are still looking into nuclear propulsion, including NASA, which has been

exploring how to use nuclear rockets in the solar system without violating any treaties.

And work on spaceship repair and robots has really improved, too.

In 2015, the University of Michigan created a self-healing material

that could plug small holes in spacecraft.

And the International Space Station has also tested out a

few robots that could take care of onboard repairs.

Admittedly, there's still a long way to go, but visiting other stars

does feel less impossible now.

And if nothing else, engineers are also exploring tons of alternative options to explore the galaxy.

Like, there's one called Breakthrough Starshot, which would use hundreds of simple, laser-powered probes

to reach our neighboring star, Alpha Centauri, within 20 years.

But whatever happens, our thoughts are clearly aimed at the stars.

Now we just need to figure out a way to get to them,

whether it's nukes, lasers, or something even weirder.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow Space!

Along with Project Daedalus, there are plenty of other missions that

never made it off the ground.

You can learn more about some of them in our episode with Reid about three history-changing missions.

I Sent Pictures To A Boy I Liked And Shouldn't Have - Duration: 3:15.

I liked this one guy, we were super close. We started talking like late at night

and stuff, and he would ask me how my day was and what I did...He would ask me how

I'm feeling and stuff like that. He'd be super nice. One day he asked me for racy pics

and I said "no" but he kept begging me and I was like "maybe". I was trying to talk

myself out of it. But then I was feeling like "I don't know what to do" and we had

this thing and it was play pool, the loser has to send pics of your body. And I said "how

about something other than that?" He said, "all right, bottom pics" and I said "fine". So

we played and I lost so I had to send him some pictures. And he liked them he

was like ooh "really nice" stuff. Later then he asked me for more like that. I said

"no" but I was on the phone with my friend she was like "what are you gonna do?" And

he sent me a picture and she was like wait "no he didn't" and I said "yeah." And I

showed my friend and I was like "I don't know what to do he's asking me for

picture still" and I was like "fine" so I sent him a picture of me in my top.

And then he was like "take the top off". So I did and I put my hands over my chest and

he said "send it without your hands." And I put emojis and then he was like take the

emogiis off and I was like "fine" I did and he was like "ooh la la!"

"I'll grab your bottom and stuff at school if you keep sending them to me" and I was

like "you know what I want to go to bed good night." A month later my mom found

out that he sent me that because my friends are talking about it in the car

and she heard it. So then we had to talk about it with my therapist she was like

did you send him back and I was like no because I kept lying cuz I was like I

don't want to but then my mom threatened to take it up with the school district

and like tell on him and say this is just illegal you better look up his

picture and say like "oh he did send it" and like he should get punished for it

and I was like "Mom you can't do that" and she was like "why did you send it back?"

And I was "if I did would you be mad?" And she said

"no" and I started crying and I poured down tears. And I told her the truth

that I did. And she just hugged me and she said "look, it's gonna be all right

but you know you can't do that again." And I got grounded for a long time. And I

never did anything like that again because the feeling of thinking that

someone might find out and ruin your life...sucks!

Pelosi Demands 'Christian Bigots' Start BAKING CAKES For Gay People - Duration: 2:43.

Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi slammed the SCOTUS decision to not force Americans to violate

their religious liberty to bake cakes for radical gay bully activists.

Pelosi called the fair ruling "discriminatory," and intolerable, in her statement.

Of course, there's no mention of what happened when someone waltzed into a Muslim bakery

asking for a "gay wedding cake."

It's just Christians who are the intolerant bigots, according to liberals!

From Breitbart

Would-be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) slammed Monday's 7-2 Supreme Court

ruling in the Masterpiece Bakeshop case, attacking "discriminatory practices behind the guise

of religious liberty."

The Court found in favor of a Colorado baker who was sued when he declined to bake a wedding

cake for a same-sex marriage because of his Christian beliefs.

The baker asserted his religious liberty under the First Amendment.

The decision avoided ruling on the broader question of whether religious liberty trumps

non-discrimination on the basis of sexuality, and held only that the Colorado Civil Rights

Commission had not given the baker a fair hearing.

Still, Pelosi made clear that she found any defense of religious liberty intolerable.

Her full statement is as follows:

The Masterpiece Cakeshop case is about the most fundamental right of all Americans: to

be free from persecution and discrimination because of who they are or whom they love.

While narrowly framed to apply to the decision-making process undertaken by the state commission,

today's wrongheaded decision fails to uphold equality in this case.

Masterpiece Cakeshop is a commercial bakery open to the public, and such services clearly

must be made available to the public on equal terms as determined by an independent review

by the Colorado Court of Appeals which should have been upheld.

No business or organization open to the public should hide their discriminatory practices

behind the guise of religious liberty.

Our nation's story is one of ever-expanding freedoms and progress toward a future of equal,

full rights for all.

To carry forth that progress, the Congress must immediately move to pass the Equality

Act, to remove all doubt that sexual orientation and gender identity warrant fundamental civil

rights protections in the workplace and in every place.

Democrats will never stop fighting for every American's right to full equality and equal

justice under the law.

Pelosi, who currently serves as House Minority Leader, has made clear — despite internal

objections — that she intends to reclaim the Speaker's gavel if her party wins back

the House majority in the November elections.

How To Prepare For College Band Camp...The Mental And The Physical - Duration: 12:43.

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel today

we are going to talk about the transition from high school band camp into college band camp and we're going to talk about how to

how to physically prepare how to mentally prepare and a little bit about like the transition from high school right into band

I also want to start by telling you a little bit about my band experience

So you kind of know where you come from? Because I want you to keep in mind that everyone's experience is gonna be different

So, you know right now I'm in the color guard, you know

The color guards experience is gonna be a lot different from the rest of the rest of the band experience

So I started actual marching band in 9th grade. I was marching clarinet my freshman and sophomore year junior year

I switched to color guard. So I did that junior in senior year now. I'm in college

I'm going into my junior year of college

I've been spinning flag all through college thus far and I'm actually captain

now of Towson University's color guard, so that's a little bit about

my

Progression. I also want to note that there are different styles of marching band associated College. There are like showy bands such as

WVU and Ohio State and then there's bands that are more modeled after

Drum corps, so that's kind of like Towson and West Chester University and kind of places like that

So they're different you'll probably have different feels in the band and the whole experience will be totally

I don't want to say one-hundred percent different but they'll be really different also

I did ask a lot of my friends who are in band

you know things that they wish they knew before band camp and what the transition and experience was like for them and

I asked people who were from Towson

So a DCI styled band and I asked people who were from WVU who are the showy type band first

We're gonna start off how to physically get ready for band camp

Start drinking water now no matter what day you're watching this. I don't care if it's like

Months months months in advance or like two days before start drinking water

My coach told us to drink half of our body weight in ounces

I'm sure other coaches will tell you different things

But if you decide to follow that let's say you weigh 150 pounds you would drink 75 ounces a day

So I don't feel like you have to do that extreme this early

maybe like what's in the weeks before but like

months before I don't think I need to be drinking that water unless you are working out every single day in which case drink

A lot of water a couple weeks before band camp only drink water don't drink anything but water

Going along with that make sure that you are eating a nutritious diet, and I'm not telling you to not eat junk food

But make sure that you are also adding in more nutritious food

You know eat a lot of vegetables eat a lot of green vegetables, make sure you're getting enough

micronutrients so make sure you're getting all of your vitamins and minerals that you need of course making sure you're getting enough fat carbs and

Protein make sure all of that is on your list and make sure you're watching it and taking care of it

Because if your body is not you know it if it's malnutritioned in any area

You are gonna feel sluggish and you're gonna feel dragged down. I also recommend to start working out now

Especially, you know months before it's really good to start conditioning and training your body

Especially if you are in the color guard because I mean during band camp on color guard days

It's nonstop moving. Like I know at least with the band we have morning block, which is sectionals

So they kind of do basic drill and or well, they don't really do a lot of drill, but they do like marching a drill

marching basics not drill they do marching basics, and then we're

doing flag choreography or rifle choreography or sabre or whatever you're doing and then

Afternoon block they're in the concert hall practicing. So they're sitting in an AC building. We're in the dance studio

so we're dancing and moving and everything and then evening block is

Ensemble block so everyone's marching and moving together

So especially if you're in the color guard you are not gonna stop moving really start training now

Start conditioning now Even if it's just like

Everyday, I do like a 10 minute jog do a couple push-ups?

Honestly, that's way better than nothing. Anything is better than nothing

Like I mean, even if you're just going on a walk every day, that's better than nothing

But yeah, I definitely get your body moving and get your muscles working

Just start conditioning l it will make the transition from high school to college marching band much easier

Also, just kind of a quick side note

just to kind of

Emphasize how much all these other points I've mentioned are so important it can get really really hot

during band camp especially if you are in a Southern University, which I'm not really in a southern University, but if you're like

You know going to school in texas or Florida or something like that like it can get really hot

so you are gonna want to be drinking water and you're gonna want to eat healthy and you're gonna want to be conditioned because

It can get rough out there, you know, just overall making sure you're taking care of your body

Be aware of what you're putting in it

Make sure you're putting the right things in it, even if you're putting, you know wrong things in your body

Just make sure that you are combating it with the right things. Make sure you getting plenty of sleep

You know, your body is gonna be working throughout the entire week

So just make sure you're taking care of it. Listen to it. You know if you're craving

Some kind of food. Think about what's in that food that you might be craving like if you're craving something

Junk foodie, you might just be creating craving a lot of calories because you're gonna be burning a lot of calories

So when you eat if that happens to you, make sure you're eating calorically dense food now

We're gonna move on to how to mentally prepare for

college band camp and

Kind of the transition to it. So there's two types of transitions

if you are a freshman that you are going to be dealing with you're gonna be dealing with the

transition from living at home to living at college and I'm not gonna deal with that talk about that transition in this video if you'd

Like to see a separate video on that let me know because I can do it

But what we are gonna focus on this it's the actual transition from band to band this first thing I want to talk about

Actually had a lot of mixed results about when I was asking people my friends like questions and I was getting mixed results from both

bands and I was

but some people said that

College band camp was a lot harder than they expected and some people thought it was a lot easier than they expected

I think the best thing to do is get in touch with your captains or your section leaders or even if your drum major is

kind of how big your band is get in touch with someone like that and asked for their

Experiences and asked how you should prepare and stuff like that and what to expect I know at least at Towson

as a captain we are expected to reach out to all of our prospective members over the summer and

Talk to them and they reached up to me when I was a freshman. So

If your school doesn't have something like that go ahead and reach out to them. Okay?

So this next one I actually got a lot of people telling me that I should mention this in the video

So I guess I'm going to something to keep in mind

Is that even if you were a section leader or drum major in high school That doesn't matter

Nobody cares that you were section leader

um, if you were in drum corps, that is pretty cool, but you still need to know that you are still coming in as a

Freshman or transfer you're coming in as a rookie

basically, so

you know you are on the same level as everyone else who wasn't section leader and wasn't drum major

Just because you were a drum major in high school does not mean that

You are above a junior or a third year in this new marching band that you'll be a part of

It's also important to keep in mind. This one's kind of more sad that other one was harsh

This one's just kind of sad know that where you're going

you're gonna be in a place where so many different levels of talent are flowing in so you may have been

the best in your marching band you've may have been the best performer in your section, and then you come to college and

There might be other freshmen coming in who are way better than you and that that is kind of sad

But it does kind of depend on where you come from and it's a whole privileged thing and it's it can be sad

But it's the truth

Just because you were really good somewhere else does not necessarily mean you're gonna be really good in this new place now

That doesn't mean that you can't get better one thing. I'm gonna point this out now. So where I went to school color guard

was not

Super well taken care of. No, we were not nothing like we had a color guard. We didn't have our director

Or we didn't really have a color guard teacher

We taught ourselves pretty much a lot of things

we were a bit modeled after WVU because people who went to WVU would come back and teach us so

They helped us during band camp

But then after that we were kind of on our own I'm rambling a little bit but basically what I'm saying

Is my color guard

I didn't learn as much from them as I could have and then I came to Towson and other people from New Jersey and Maryland

Pennsylvania were so good compared to me and I

felt

not defeated through what they're on another was a second where I felt kind of defeated, but it was like

it was sad because I was really good back in high school and then I came here and I was like

I'm not nearly at the level of these other people, but honestly, I worked hard I worked really hard

I practiced a lot and now I'm

Literally captain so I mean that just really goes to show the progression that you can make. So no matter where you're from

Like you can still work your way up there. It's totally possible. No matter where you're from. Just keep in mind that

You might have to go through that kind of transition going off on a little bit back to my experience. I

Didn't find band camp harder than I expected. What I did find harder than I expected was the summer rehearsals

I don't know if every college band does this but

We all had summer rehearsals. There were like three throughout the summer. And the first one I went to I was like so excited

I was like, this is cool and it was way

way harder than I thought I

Like kind of in the middle near the end of the day I was legitimately

Questioning if I could even do this like I was like, I don't know if I'm built for this

I don't know if I can handle this. I don't know if I'm good enough for this and

Honestly the thing I told myself that kept me going

Was I looked at everyone else and I was like if these people can do it I can do it, too

Like there's no reason that these people are better than me. Like I have the

capability of

Matching them like there was no reason I couldn't do it. So

Just really if you're feeling down just know that you can do it

It takes a lot of work sometimes but know that it's totally possible

like

There's no reason that you can't do it

so while band camp is a time for a lot of hard work and it's time to learn a show and stuff like that it

Is also time to be making a lot of new friends

Especially if you were a new person coming in such as a new transfer or a freshman

So I was told a lot when I was asking people

What should I mention in my video?

to

Really kind of in way go out of your way to talk to people in your section and make friends and then I got other

Comments telling me to tell you guys to also go out of your way to talk to people outside of your section

So I think the big picture here is go out of your way to talk to people in the band

especially

You know these people do kind of become your family or your community like I mean you are in a band community

So it is it's part of your identity in the university that you're in

I know at Towson

we wear these band necklaces and that tells

Everyone around you that you're in the band like people who are not in the band recognize what the necklaces are

So it just shows them that we're in a part of this community. So we all represent each other

So, you know, it's important to get to know each other

It's important to make friends and you're depending on how big your band is. You're not gonna meet everyone and you're not going

Learn everybody's name

Probably I know my freshman year in the color guard we had ten

Freshmen come in we all had our little group chat and I remember doing band camp

I invited people over to my dorm during one of our breaks and we had a little pizza party

So just really kind of go out of your way to make friends

I would say especially the new people coming in because you guys are all trying to make friends. So

You know keep that in mind

All right. That's the last thing that I had to talk about

If you guys have any other questions

Like specific questions that I didn't talk about in this video leave and comments down below any questions about band camp anything like that

I can answer them or if there's any other kind of video you want to see you leave it down below I can make

GZERO World Clip: The Populist Art of Governance - Duration: 1:37.

Who do you think is most effective right now on the world stage at advancing this populist moment?

So there are a couple of actors who really have demonstrated conclusively that

contrary to conventional wisdom, populists can really govern.

And they can specifically govern as populists, which is to say, as actors who ultimately

do not recognize anything like a legitimate opposition.

So we've seen Orban in Hungary –

Viktor Orbán, President of Hungary.

Kaczynski in Poland, Erdogan in Turkey.

They've all built a particular kind of state – Orbán has declared it an illiberal state,

where we even see – if it didn't sound so perverse –

a particular populist art of governance emerging, which has distinct characteristics.

It involves mass clientelism, it involves hijacking the state for the governing party,

it involves suppressing civil society.

And always in the name of democracy and always with the claim that populists and only populists

truly represent the people.

And that is, in a sense, a very coherent package.

I'm not saying they're invincible but this idea that oh, by definition they can't govern

because they are protest movements, once you're in government you cannot

keep protesting against yourself, or a variation of a certain kind of liberal naivete.

They all have these horrendously simplistic policy ideas, so on day two of the administration

it's going to be obvious that nothing works in practice.

I think these sorts of views have been refuted very comprehensively.

The Arabian Nights | The Story of the Vizir Who Was Punished - Duration: 16:58.

The Story of the Vizir Who Was Punished There was once upon a time a king who had

a son who was very fond of hunting.

He often allowed him to indulge in this pastime, but he had ordered his grand-vizir always

to go with him, and never to lose sight of him.

One day the huntsman roused a stag, and the prince, thinking that the vizir was behind,

gave chase, and rode so hard that he found himself alone.

He stopped, and having lost sight of it, he turned to rejoin the vizir, who had not been

careful enough to follow him.

But he lost his way.

Whilst he was trying to find it, he saw on the side of the road a beautiful lady who

was crying bitterly.

He drew his horse's rein, and asked her who she was and what she was doing in this place,

and if she needed help.

"I am the daughter of an Indian king," she answered, "and whilst riding in the country

I fell asleep and tumbled off.

My horse has run away, and I do not know what has become of him."

The young prince had pity on her, and offered to take her behind him, which he did.

As they passed by a ruined building the lady dismounted and went in.

The prince also dismounted and followed her.

To his great surprise, he heard her saying to some one inside, "Rejoice my children;

I am bringing you a nice fat youth."

And other voices replied, "Where is he, mamma, that we may eat him at once, as we are very

hungry?"

The prince at once saw the danger he was in.

He now knew that the lady who said she was the daughter of an Indian king was an ogress,

who lived in desolate places, and who by a thousand wiles surprised and devoured passers-by.

He was terrified, and threw himself on his horse.

The pretended princess appeared at this moment, and seeing that she had lost her prey, she

said to him, "Do not be afraid.

What do you want?"

"I am lost," he answered, "and I am looking for the road."

"Keep straight on," said the ogress, "and you will find it."

The prince could hardly believe his ears, and rode off as hard as he could.

He found his way, and arrived safe and sound at his father's house, where he told him of

the danger he had run because of the grand-vizir's carelessness.

The king was very angry, and had him strangled immediately.

"Sire," went on the vizir to the Greek king, "to return to the physician, Douban.

If you do not take care, you will repent of having trusted him.

Who knows what this remedy, with which he has cured you, may not in time have a bad

effect on you?"

The Greek king was naturally very weak, and did not perceive the wicked intention of his

vizir, nor was he firm enough to keep to his first resolution.

"Well, vizir," he said, "you are right.

Perhaps he did come to take my life.

He might do it by the mere smell of one of his drugs.

I must see what can be done."

"The best means, sire, to put your life in security, is to send for him at once, and

to cut off his head directly he comes," said the vizir.

"I really think," replied the king, "that will be the best way."

He then ordered one of his ministers to fetch the physician, who came at once.

"I have had you sent for," said the king, "in order to free myself from you by taking

your life."

The physician was beyond measure astonished when he heard he was to die.

"What crimes have I committed, your majesty?"

"I have learnt," replied the king, "that you are a spy, and intend to kill me.

But I will be first, and kill you.

Strike," he added to an executioner who was by, "and rid me of this assassin."

At this cruel order the physician threw himself on his knees.

"Spare my life," he cried, "and yours will be spared."

The fisherman stopped here to say to the genius: "You see what passed between the Greek king

and the physician has just passed between us two.

The Greek king," he went on, "had no mercy on him, and the executioner bound his eyes."

All those present begged for his life, but in vain.

The physician on his knees, and bound, said to the king: "At least let me put my affairs

in order, and leave my books to persons who will make good use of them.

There is one which I should like to present to your majesty.

It is very precious, and ought to be kept carefully in your treasury.

It contains many curious things the chief being that when you cut off my head, if your

majesty will turn to the sixth leaf, and read the third line of the left-hand page, my head

will answer all the questions you like to ask it."

The king, eager to see such a wonderful thing, put off his execution to the next day, and

sent him under a strong guard to his house.

There the physician put his affairs in order, and the next day there was a great crowd assembled

in the hall to see his death, and the doings after it.

The physician went up to the foot of the throne with a large book in his hand.

He carried a basin, on which he spread the covering of the book, and presenting it to

the king, said: "Sire, take this book, and when my head is cut off, let it be placed

in the basin on the covering of this book; as soon as it is there, the blood will cease

to flow.

Then open the book, and my head will answer your questions.

But, sire, I implore your mercy, for I am innocent."

"Your prayers are useless, and if it were only to hear your head speak when you are

dead, you should die."

So saying, he took the book from the physician's hands, and ordered the executioner to do his

duty.

The head was so cleverly cut off that it fell into the basin, and directly the blood ceased

to flow.

Then, to the great astonishment of the king, the eyes opened, and the head said, "Your

majesty, open the book."

The king did so, and finding that the first leaf stuck against the second, he put his

finger in his mouth, to turn it more easily.

He did the same thing till he reached the sixth page, and not seeing any writing on

it, "Physician," he said, "there is no writing."

"Turn over a few more pages," answered the head.

The king went on turning, still putting his finger in his mouth, till the poison in which

each page was dipped took effect.

His sight failed him, and he fell at the foot of his throne.

When the physician's head saw that the poison had taken effect, and that the king had only

a few more minutes to live, "Tyrant," it cried, "see how cruelty and injustice are punished."

Scarcely had it uttered these words than the king died, and the head lost also the little

life that had remained in it.

That is the end of the story of the Greek king, and now let us return to the fisherman

and the genius.

"If the Greek king," said the fisherman, "had spared the physician, he would not have thus

died.

The same thing applies to you.

Now I am going to throw you into the sea."

"My friend," said the genius, "do not do such a cruel thing.

Do not treat me as Imma treated Ateca."

"What did Imma do to Ateca?" asked the fisherman.

"Do you think I can tell you while I am shut up in here?"

replied the genius.

"Let me out, and I will make you rich."

The hope of being no longer poor made the fisherman give way.

"If you will give me your promise to do this, I will open the lid.

I do not think you will dare to break your word."

The genius promised, and the fisherman lifted the lid.

He came out at once in smoke, and then, having resumed his proper form, the first thing he

did was to kick the vase into the sea.

This frightened the fisherman, but the genius laughed and said, "Do not be afraid; I only

did it to frighten you, and to show you that I intend to keep my word; take your nets and

follow me."

He began to walk in front of the fisherman, who followed him with some misgivings.

They passed in front of the town, and went up a mountain and then down into a great plain,

where there was a large lake lying between four hills.

When they reached the lake the genius said to the fisherman, "Throw your nets and catch

fish."

The fisherman did as he was told, hoping for a good catch, as he saw plenty of fish.

What was his astonishment at seeing that there were four quite different kinds, some white,

some red, some blue, and some yellow.

He caught four, one of each colour.

As he had never seen any like them he admired them very much, and he was very pleased to

think how much money he would get for them.

"Take these fish and carry them to the Sultan, who will give you more money for them than

you have ever had in your life.

You can come every day to fish in this lake, but be careful not to throw your nets more

than once every day, otherwise some harm will happen to you.

If you follow my advice carefully you will find it good."

Saying these words, he struck his foot against the ground, which opened, and when he had

disappeared, it closed immediately.

The fisherman resolved to obey the genius exactly, so he did not cast his nets a second

time, but walked into the town to sell his fish at the palace.

When the Sultan saw the fish he was much astonished.

He looked at them one after the other, and when he had admired them long enough, "Take

these fish," he said to his first vizir, "and given them to the clever cook the Emperor

of the Greeks sent me.

I think they must be as good as they are beautiful."

The vizir took them himself to the cook, saying, "Here are four fish that have been brought

to the Sultan.

He wants you to cook them."

Then he went back to the Sultan, who told him to give the fisherman four hundred gold

pieces.

The fisherman, who had never before possessed such a large sum of money at once, could hardly

believe his good fortune.

He at once relieved the needs of his family, and made good use of it.

But now we must return to the kitchen, which we shall find in great confusion.

The cook, when she had cleaned the fish, put them in a pan with some oil to fry them.

When she thought them cooked enough on one side she turned them on the other.

But scarcely had she done so when the walls of the kitchen opened, and there came out

a young and beautiful damsel.

She was dressed in an Egyptian dress of flowered satin, and she wore earrings, and a necklace

of white pearls, and bracelets of gold set with rubies, and she held a wand of myrtle

in her hand.

She went up to the pan, to the great astonishment of the cook, who stood motionless at the sight

of her.

She struck one of the fish with her rod, "Fish, fish," said she, "are you doing your duty?"

The fish answered nothing, and then she repeated her question, whereupon they all raised their

heads together and answered very distinctly, "Yes, yes.

If you reckon, we reckon.

If you pay your debts, we pay ours.

If you fly, we conquer, and we are content."

When they had spoken the girl upset the pan, and entered the opening in the wall, which

at once closed, and appeared the same as before.

When the cook had recovered from her fright she lifted up the fish which had fallen into

the ashes, but she found them as black as cinders, and not fit to serve up to the Sultan.

She began to cry.

"Alas! what shall I say to the Sultan?

He will be so angry with me, and I know he will not believe me!"

Whilst she was crying the grand-vizir came in and asked if the fish were ready.

She told him all that had happened, and he was much surprised.

He sent at once for the fisherman, and when he came said to him, "Fisherman, bring me

four more fish like you have brought already, for an accident has happened to them so that

they cannot be served up to the Sultan."

The fisherman did not say what the genius had told him, but he excused himself from

bringing them that day on account of the length of the way, and he promised to bring them

next day.

In the night he went to the lake, cast his nets, and on drawing them in found four fish,

which were like the others, each of a different colour.

He went back at once and carried them to the grand-vizir as he had promised.

He then took them to the kitchen and shut himself up with the cook, who began to cook

them as she had done the four others on the previous day.

When she was about to turn them on the other side, the wall opened, the damsel appeared,

addressed the same words to the fish, received the same answer, and then overturned the pan

and disappeared.

The grand-vizir was filled with astonishment.

"I shall tell the Sultan all that has happened," said he.

And he did so.

The Sultan was very much astounded, and wished to see this marvel for himself.

So he sent for the fisherman, and asked him to procure four more fish.

The fisherman asked for three days, which were granted, and he then cast his nets in

the lake, and again caught four different coloured fish.

The sultan was delighted to see he had got them, and gave him again four hundred gold

pieces.

As soon as the Sultan had the fish he had them carried to his room with all that was

needed to cook them.

Then he shut himself up with the grand-vizir, who began to prepare them and cook them.

When they were done on one side he turned them over on the other.

Then the wall of the room opened, but instead of the maiden a black slave came out.

He was enormously tall, and carried a large green stick with which he touched the fish,

saying in a terrible voice, "Fish, fish, are you doing your duty?"

To these words the fish lifting up their heads replied, "Yes, yes.

If you reckon, we reckon.

If you pay your debts, we pay ours.

If you fly, we conquer, and are content."

The black slave overturned the pan in the middle of the room, and the fish were turned

to cinders.

Then he stepped proudly back into the wall, which closed round him.

"After having seen this," said the Sultan, "I cannot rest.

These fish signify some mystery I must clear up."

He sent for the fisherman.

"Fisherman," he said, "the fish you have brought us have caused me some anxiety.

Where did you get them from?"

"Sire," he answered, "I got them from a lake which lies in the middle of four hills beyond

yonder mountains."

"Do you know this lake?" asked the Sultan of the grand-vizir.

"No; though I have hunted many times round that mountain, I have never heard of it,"

said the vizir.

As the fisherman said it was only three hours' journey away, the sultan ordered his whole

court to mount and ride thither, and the fisherman led them.

They climbed the mountain, and then, on the other side, saw the lake as the fisherman

had described.

The water was so clear that they could see the four kinds of fish swimming about in it.

They looked at them for some time, and then the Sultan ordered them to make a camp by

the edge of the water.

When night came the Sultan called his vizir, and said to him, "I have resolved to clear

up this mystery.

I am going out alone, and do you stay here in my tent, and when my ministers come to-morrow,

say I am not well, and cannot see them.

Do this each day till I return."

The grand-vizir tried to persuade the Sultan not to go, but in vain.

The Sultan took off his state robe and put on his sword, and when he saw all was quiet

in the camp he set forth alone.

He climbed one of the hills, and then crossed the great plain, till, just as the sun rose,

he beheld far in front of him a large building.

When he came near to it he saw it was a splendid palace of beautiful black polished marble,

covered with steel as smooth as a mirror.

He went to the gate, which stood half open, and went in, as nobody came when he knocked.

He passed through a magnificent courtyard and still saw no one, though he called aloud

several times.

He entered large halls where the carpets were of silk, the lounges and sofas covered with

tapestry from Mecca, and the hangings of the most beautiful Indian stuffs of gold and silver.

Then he found himself in a splendid room, with a fountain supported by golden lions.

The water out of the lions' mouths turned into diamonds and pearls, and the leaping

water almost touched a most beautifully-painted dome.

The palace was surrounded on three sides by magnificent gardens, little lakes, and woods.

Birds sang in the trees, which were netted over to keep them always there.

Still the Sultan saw no one, till he heard a plaintive cry, and a voice which said, "Oh

that I could die, for I am too unhappy to wish to live any longer!"

The Sultan looked round to discover who it was who thus bemoaned his fate, and at last

saw a handsome young man, richly clothed, who was sitting on a throne raised slightly

from the ground.

His face was very sad.

The sultan approached him and bowed to him.

The young man bent his head very low, but did not rise.

"Sire," he said to the Sultan, "I cannot rise and do you the reverence that I am sure should

be paid to your rank."

"Sir," answered the Sultan, "I am sure you have a good reason for not doing so, and having

heard your cry of distress, I am come to offer you my help.

Whose is this palace, and why is it thus empty?"

Instead of answering the young man lifted up his robe, and showed the Sultan that, from

the waist downwards, he was a block of black marble.

The Sultan was horrified, and begged the young man to tell him his story.

"Willingly I will tell you my sad history," said the young man.

Want to fish big Barbel? just see... - Duration: 15:23.

there is one there

is one there

almost...

my god, I'm having so much fun today

hi guys, so welcome to another fishing video

by the intro you know I got a great fishing day

that is what you have when you fish for Barbel with lures

I love to fish for Barbel with lures, is one of my favorite

is like Fly fishing, is a technique that I love to use too

but Barbel on lures is great

I try to fish with SG Nails

but I quit because the bank is full of small Bass

and I don´t want to fish small Bass

my goal was Barbel

I spent 5 mayfly

this is the last one, the rest of the lure

she lost the tail, poor lure

but it was worth it and you will see why, watch the video

my new LRF rod

Mayfly

do you see this here?

this is a male

and release

to be able to reproduce

That's why I think the law is inadequate

the water is +17º and in south of Portugal is more hot

the fish there must have spawned

but our fish do not

so now that the closed season ended

people will strat to kill them and they do that according the law

so you need to understand this and respect the fish

let's run over some Mullet

they are in top water

go go go

another

one more

we got two

fish

this is so fun

look at the rod

the reel is closed

as possible, of course

and they run so much

come here Train

he is bigger than I thought

I saw another one

this is bigger than the other I saw

Mayfly

there he goes

so let´s see what I am doing

I am near the trees

the water is +17º

the weather warmed and the Barbel patrol the banks

do not have weight, it's just the hook

let me put this here

now is better

hook by the head

cross the body

and go out in this small separation

till the top

and will be like this

so we cast near the trees

and if there is a Barbel there he will get the lure in first seconds

I will cast like this

because I want the lure hit the water doing a little POC

like a real bug hiting the water

so far so good, we got three

let´s see if we catch more

fish

small male

and release

fish

he is stuck in a tree

two trees

you are a brute

you are a brute

you are a brute

he is free from the tree

be quiet please

you want mayfly?

mayfly is good

mayfly is very good

this is extreme LRF my friends

come here

one more

want to see something?

this fish want mayfly

let´s take a photo, I don´t take any single photo yet

but a underwater photo

there he goes

is recovering

he is entering that small creek there

this is what you need to do always

if you want to continue to have fish

don´t doubt, this is the only way

so my day is over

I could end the video now but my goal is all of you guys catch some fish

is very fun to see me catching fish

but I know that all of you guys want to fish your own fish

that is the reason I am here

so what I did today?

the waters are still cold, here is 18, behind me was 17 and all over there is 19

so with the waters so cold

I try more slow lures

well I try with Nails that is a fast lure

but I was catching only small Bass

I will show you just one catch so you see

but I stoped so I avoid hurting a fish

no need to catch so small Bass

so my bet is on a lure that you guys know so well

from my previous videos, Mayfly

this lure imitates a small insect

imitates a Mayfly

and in the begin of the morning I used without any weight

only the hook and what I did was

I was looking for some spots with 1 to 2 meters deep

under some trees

always under trees

and with polarized glasses

I try to see if I see a fin to cuting the water

Barbel in the begin of the day eat in top water

or I try to see the water move

If I saw that, I'd throw it there

and catch them

as the weather got warmer

I changed my tactics and started using

a 1.5grams jig head

with Mayfly and I cast really near the bank

sometimes I cast to the rocks and let the lure fall into the water

the fish are in that shadow moving away from the sun

and if an insect falls in the area where they are

it is almost guaranteed that they attack

was a great day, I broke some lines, lost some lures, some hooks

It does not matter what matters is that it was fun

hope you like this video and I will continue to explain

the tactics that I use so you can catch more fish

BITCOIN TO $11K? EOS MANIPULATION? RIPPLE XRP ADOPTION? PRICE PREDICTION + CRYPTOCURRENCY NEWS 2018 - Duration: 14:37.

what's going on guys Patrick here bringing you a brand new video table

another killer video for you guys full of information I'm going to be talking

about yo s ripple and Bitcoin as well as lots of other news that went on in the

cryptocurrency space but guys before we get start with that if you want to enter

a chance to win some free Bitcoin all you guys have to do is number one be

subscribed to the channel and have your notifications turned on number two give

this video a thumbs up and number three leave a comment down below saying

something related to the video now guys if you haven't received your big point

yet from the previous giveaway that is because I'm in Barcelona right now so I

was traveling I will get that to you as soon as possible I did not forget also

those of you who are in Barcelona let me know you guys are here if there's enough

for you here maybe we should all do a meet-up but let's jump right into the

news first first piece of news is Australian airport makes history with

cryptocurrency acceptance so if you check this houses more adoption news is

something that I think is great we've seen cryptocurrency get adopted more and

more in e-commerce and in the online space for example Shopify doing a deal

with request network which is one of my long-term holding cryptocurrencies we we

can take a look at it in just a little bit but requests network that gave

access to over 4 million I think Shopify accounts if not more using or

accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment and now airports are looking to

do the same and to bridge the gap between the online space but also the

physical store space because the physical store that's something that

cryptocurrency is having a bigger China is having more trouble getting into but

an airport be a good place to start simply because so many people travel eat

and now so many different types of people travel in and out this would be

big it's looking like it's going to accept - Bitcoin Bitcoin cash aetherium

nem and steam so some interesting options here so that we don't see very

often including an EM and steam to that I don't think I've seen work as an

actual currency yet so much for most most of time we talk about adoption we

hear about like coin and ripple but here we are hearing about a few differ

so that's pretty cool and the article goes on to talk about this being a

gateway for more cryptocurrency adoption which i 100% agree and - all it also

talks about - recognizes the need of increasing adoption in to a wider

audience again not just the online space but also the physical store space moving

on Google Bitcoin bad new policy on cryptocurrency is heavy-handed and

unethical what does this mean basically something I talked about before more

more people are catching on Google then the Facebook add cryptocurrency and ban

all is looking like an excuse for them to block out other cryptocurrency

advertisements at ICO while they research and look at building a platform

on their own it could be their own blockchain it could be just whatever it

is they want to take the time to research and figure out what their plan

of action is as a company obviously these guys are huge they cook 100% could

create their own blockchain they could do whatever they please but the they're

not sure what they want to do yet and since that's the case they are now

banning ads batting IC O's in order to try and kind of keep cryptocurrency down

until they're ready to launch whatever it is that they want to launch the never

I guarantee you they will have ads running absolutely everywhere on their

platform about their cryptocurrency or their blotching whatever it is that they

decide to do so I agree very unethical but it's also something that's hard for

us to control just keep that in mind we talked about this as soon as it happened

I said this is probably due to something bigger and it's looking like that is the

case anyways moving on to the cryptocurrency market we had actually a

nice little bit of a run yesterday when I upload at the top five all coins for

June video make sure you guys go check that out if you haven't done so already

but now what we have come a little down 333 billion dollar mark at Bitcoin

dominance back up to 38.1% obviously everything is in the red today a very

bad day for cryptocurrency except for by Nance coin which is actually doing

really well and I saw someone mentioned how maybe putting money and Finance coin

might even be smarter than doing putting money in tether that way if the market

goes and that way the coin can still go up and can

increase in value it's been shown to hold a pretty strong over the last few

weeks but if you look at everything else except for the exception of our chain

everything is in the red but guys this provides a great opportunity for you

guys to pick up any of your favorite all points which again if you guys are

interested in using Finance I'll leave a link in the description and in the

comments for you guys to go ahead sign up for by Nets and have and by all the

cryptocurrencies and build the best portfolio you guys can these are the

prices these are the days where we see red and we see prices just crash these

are the days that you want to look at picking up cryptocurrencies you don't

want to pick it up when everything is already up 500% because you missed out

on a huge opportunity there for some gains and the next thing you know it's

correcting you bought in at 500% starts to correct a little bit and you lose

faith in crypto cars is not what we want to see you guys that's what I'm here for

help you guys make the right decisions here again not a financial advisor

though this is not financial advice I'm just giving you guys my opinion but if

you look at the last 24 hours will be token is actually up 14% the biggest

mover out of the top 100 cryptocurrency so will be token similar to buy Nance

coin similar to every exchange having their own token I think they will do

fairly well especially if it is a good exchange in Kobe is actually performing

very well recently I started to like it more and more on the other hand Bitcoin

private down a lot it got pumped a lot recently so I'm not surprised that it is

down gas the what you get for holding neo is down again that's why I usually

choose to hold Neil want chains down 8% though Knowles is down over 8% guys

these two are great pick ups right now including Gollum is down 7.7 percent as

well I wasn't 100% be looking at picking some of these up and list down 7.5% why

it got added to another cryptocurrency exchange which pumped the price now we

are seeing a correction from that so no surprise that it is

as well let's move on and talk about the two cryptocurrencies you guys are

probably here to talk about our three crypto critics including Bitcoin that

you guys are probably here to talk about number one being a OS us set an eleven

point eight billion dollar market cat thirteen point twenty one dollars today

is down six point two percent still ranked number five though an overall

crypto currency market capsized but things a lot of bad news are coming out

for us and I think this is perfectly timed I think this is not a surprise

that when the main ik but when the maintenance and everything was

everything was going well iOS was hitting all-time highs somebody

decided that maybe it's time to kind of hold it down a little bit and obviously

the market being in the place it is right now wasn't gonna cause any

cryptocurrency to moon right now either we're still waiting to see the 100% full

recovery which we're gonna talk about when we get to Bitcoin in this video but

basically a one address over one percent of addresses have almost 85% of a OS

tokens and this happened since you know you guys had to bring cryptocurrency to

exchanges or to do or you can do it yourself but a majority of people did

choose to transfer iOS to exchanges in order to put it in order for the switch

for the snapshot and it turns out they found that a very small percent of

people are holding a large share of vos now is this surprising no because we see

the same thing happen with Bitcoin one or like I forget what about the exact

percentage is but a very small percent of people own a very large amount of

Bitcoin and we've seen this began we've seen more people take action on this for

example Silicon Valley actually started something where people could store their

Bitcoin in vaults spread across three different continents I think those

contents might have been countries either way that's crazy we see that

Ripple also as having this where the founders owned a large share of the

actual token now he OS isn't it isn't clear if it's the founders who exactly

it is but this is still worrying because this opens up a OS to being manipulated

now so as you guys you can see here however one of the and one of the

addresses is a OSS main company which is blocked on one currently holds a hundred

million per 100 million tokens which is 10% of the total tokens but then an

average of 380 million iOS token is held by 8 addresses while white wine glasses

keep opening while twenty point six million is owned by the smallest holder

among the ten of the ten addresses so the remaining eight addresses could

probably be the exchanges such as bid them who all will be ok X up it BitFenix

which record which are recorded as top traders for us and obviously if people

transferred it over a transfer there a oso for this snapshot as well that might

also be the case but this is worrying because this means that if that if this

is owned by an individual or whatever it may be

this means that cos can be manipulated and that the amount of AOS that everyone

else holds the the rest of the 14% of Eos held by everybody else is very hard

to see any form of move when it comes to that in the cryptocurrency it's gonna be

very hard to see that caused any significant shift no matter what happens

is these big these big addresses that will cause most of the problem if they

do decide to sell now the good thing about these big addresses is that

usually all number one if it's exchanges less concerning to see it's a thing

about an exchange dumping all their AOS so that's number one it's good number

two if somebody owns that much a OS they probably have a lot of faith in it so

it's a lot it's like even though they do have the possibility of manipulating the

market I also think we look at it on the other side I would not buy ten percent

of all EOS tokens which costs a lot of money guys let's take a look at this

let's just do the math it feels like two hundred thousand gos tokens each going

for just ten dollars guys that's a lot of money I'm not gonna be doing too much

math in this video but that's a lot of money and it's not easy to be picking up

this or 200 million tokens that's like 2 billion dollars if if they bought it at

10 that's a lot of money I wouldn't be investing that much money

if it wasn't something that I plan on holding for a long time because I had a

lot of faith in it so it on the other side there is the positive now let's

talk about ripple because ripples are a twenty five point seven billion dollar

market cap ranked number third sixty five and a half cents and the main thing

I want to talk about today is that ripple invested fifty million dollars

into seventeen universities to boost blockchain and crypto adoption these

universities are Princeton MIT University of Pennsylvania on School of

Business or the Wharton School of Business Indian Institute of Technology

Bombay and you guys can read the other ones here but there are 17 total spread

across the world cause somewhere in the US somewhere in Brazil even right here

my home country in Brazil and this is basically to spread crypto currency

adoption spread information spread blockchain adoption so for people to

understand in colleges understand what exactly it is so they don't have a

misconception of just crypto currencies a great is a get rich scheme or

cryptocurrency is a scam or whatever maybe especially since universities are

usually taught by older professors something to watch out for because they

have a lot of influence and me being someone who has gone to college classes

I have seen what the influence that professor can have and what their lack

of edges their lack of education on the newest technologies can mean for

everyone that they teach because if they don't believe in something

they're then not going to help you understand it simply because they don't

understand it so a very big issue we have in the world today and I'm glad to

see ripple tackling this again guys ripple is gaining more and more of my

trust every single day even though I don't like the fact that's not fully

decentralized as a short term play they know what they're doing and they're

actually investing in blockchain education which is something I think is

huge and more cryptocurrencies should look at doing but lastly guys before we

end the video a little bit of Bitcoin technical analysis so it's looking like

Bitcoin is moving towards is one once attest the 11,000 plus resistance

the $11,700 resistance to be exact if you guys look at some of the technical

analysis performed here basically what the article goes over is there is this

white resistance line right here which Bitcoin managed to break all the way

back here before it went on to test the $10,000 again though it has correct back

down since then we've actually seen a triple bottom which is usually a very

bullish set a bullish sign club if you look at it in the smaller scale we are

now seeing Bitcoin trade in between these two wedges moving upward so

hopefully we do see a breakout above that that would be the first step in

order for us to move into the $11,700 mark but yeah again here we can see more

of the wedge trading over there so hopefully we do see Bitcoin if we zoom

out this is basically the main picture I'm looking at hopefully we do see

Bitcoin go ahead and test us eleven thousand seven hundred dollars which is

the Purple Line you guys can see right here the yellow line has been a very

strong support bouncing three times already so I do think it will be very

hard for us to break below that and it would be very bad if we do break below

that given that the RSI is still fairly low I think this is a good time to get

into crypto currency and if it does go down guys we dollar cost average that's

what we're all about in this channel is building bags for long term wealth but

guys if you enjoyed this video don't forget give the video a thumbs up and

leave a comment down below letting me know what you think of the EOS situation

of the ripple situation and also of Bitcoin where do you see the Bitcoin

price headed because that's what that's going to determine where the market is

headed and we are hoping for a very good June but guys thank you so much for

watching I will see you guys tomorrow for another video

Brněnská rapperka Zuzana K. (†20), která vystupovala pod jménem Sju Kjut a po všech vyžadovala, aby - Duration: 4:21.

V úterý 29. května přichází kvečeru Zuzana K. do nákupního centra Letmo poblíž brněnského hlavního nádraží

James Comey Just Got Some - Duration: 11:14.

James Comey Just Got Some Bad News And It Could Mean Jail Time

Former FBI Director James Comey presents himself as the last honest man in Washington.

But it was all a front as he was a major player in the effort to undermine Donald Trump.

And now he just got some bad news that could land him behind bars.

When James Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last June, he stated that

he was never an anonymous source and that he never authorized any leaks.

That turned out to be a lie.

And he was done-in by the most unexpected person.

Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was fired for leaking to the press during the Clinton

email investigation and lying about it to investigators.

He tried to defend himself with a statement claiming that Director Comey had been aware

of his leaks to the press.

Donald Trump responded to the news declaring Comey had lied before Congress.

Comey also could face legal problems for leaking the memos he made of his conversations with

Donald Trump.

They contained classified information and if they were produced on his FBI laptop, he

could face charges for theft of government records as well as leaking classified information.

Do you believe James Comey should be prosecuted?
