Hello Internet! I'm Ievgen.

Welcome to Iezhachenko visuals channel.

Where i help people to break the creative block and find inspiration in photography.

Today is Behind The Scenes Wednesday and I will show you,

how I made photos for the Associations challenge this Monday.

Here they are.

Before grabbing the camera and taking photos

you need to have an understanding

what to look for and what kind of stories should appear in your images.

I'm using the Associations creative tool to generate ideas.

I write 5 first-level associations to the main subject.

Keeping them on separate pieces of paper is useful.

This helps to avoid fixation on one idea.

You take a new paper and you flush the short-term memory.

After writing down the second-level associations,

I start combining them with the main subject to find the interesting pairs.

If I have an idea I write it down.

Now, let's see how I implemented those ideas.

Thanks to the brainstorming step

I already visualized the similar image in my mind.

So I just kept eyes open while commuting.

The same day I saw a plant which grew from the wall.

Next day I went there with my camera, a brush and the sprayer.

I found the composition,

took a test shot and started to remove distractions.

Using a brush I clean dirt from the wall,

then I gently remove dust from the plant.

I added water drops using a small sprayer.

That helps to add details to the plant.

In post-production I cropped and turned the image

so the crack forms an action line through the whole frame diagonally.

I adjusted the white balance, tone and color.

The lighting was so good that I could take the shot

was literally any camera including the phone.

The next photo is a demonstration of how

everything can go wrong and still have a happy end.

We came to the beach with a model and a plan.

The plan has been destroyed immediately by

a cloudy sky and strong wind.

Thankfully I had a backlog of generated ideas.

Here you see the one which worked out

I screwed up by not removing the ND filter after filming video.

This filter acts like sunglasses for your camera.

There was a sunset, so the result is very dark.

I started the salvaging process by doing the Instagram-format crop of 4x5.

Then I increased the exposure, tweaked light and color.

You should shoot in RAW to be able to change so much

until the image quality degrades too much.

I like the diagonal movement from the rocks to the bright spot in the sky.

And between them there is a hidden element in the form of a guy on a jet.

I like the composition here, but the sky is too bright

and it creates a dead space with a minimal amount of details.

I used the Lightroom adjustments brush

to increase the contrast and clarity in the sky.

Now it has enough of details to match the overall mood.

Because I increased the exposure alot,

there is a massive amount of noise.

But it is quite uniform and resembles the film grain.

This wouldn't work in a commercial photography,

but plays an essential role in this images style.

To create a fireball photo I needed the actual fire source in the models hand.

This is the only way to create a proper light.

Poring some oil in a small cap and putting a piece of napkin in

it creates a small candle

with a decent flame size.

I made a bunch of sketch photos to find the composition and light.

Eventually I decided to not use the additional light

and use only the candle light.

The tricky part here was to make a photo

where the fire isn't visible,

so I don't need to in the post.

I made a photo where the flame is hidden behind one of the fingers,

cropped it, darkened surroundings and added flames.

Next photo required some lighting setup.

Here I have the harsh key light on the right,

a soft feel light on the left

and a headlight on top in the form of a silver reflector.

It is crucial to light the model from the side to reveal muscle force.

Side and back light always reveal more form and texture

while front light hides them

I like the photo,

but in my opinion it can be emphasized even more.

I made another shot from below.

This perspective makes hands and arms bigger

giving more accent on the chain.

Also, this position allows catching more highlights,

because this is the angle of

how light is bounced in this particular setup.

For the next photo I needed the speedlight

and radio triggers.

We went into a dark alley and asked the model to get a

handful of flour and clap as hard as he can.

Getting a proper focus here was a challenge.

We used two phones as flashlights to light the model

and I focused manually before each shot.

Timing the shot was another challenge.

You cannot use continuous shooting with a flash,

so I had to catch a moment from one try.

Pictures are dark because in complete darkness

they appeared very bright on the camera screen

and I didn't noticed the issue immediately.

I switched to the lens with a wider aperture,

to get as much light as possible without increasing the flash power.

With the wider aperture the flour became very bright.

Because it didn't increased the flash power

there were no harsh shadow introduced.

To emphasize graphic style

I converted the image to black and white,

applied sharpening and clarity.

Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer placed on administrative leave - Duration: 10:49.

Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer has been placed on paid administrative leave while the school investigates what the Buckeyes legend knew about domestic violence allegations against then-assistant coach Zach Smith in 2015

Athletic director Gene Smith announced Wednesday that assistant Ryan Day will serve as acting head football coach during the investigation

'Gene and I agree that being on leave during this inquiry will facilitate its completion

This allows the team to conduct training camp with minimal distraction.I eagerly look forward to the resolution of this matter

' College football reporter Brett McMurphy reported on Facebook that he has seen text messages between Smith's now former wife Courtney and the wives of Ohio State coaches – including Urban Meyer's wife, Shelley

According to McMurphy's interpretation of those exchanges, they suggest that Urban Meyer was aware of the situation back in 2015

Meyer previously denied knowing about domestic abuse allegations involving Zach and Courtney Smith from 2015, but did acknowledge that he was told about a 2009 incident when he was the head coach at the University of Florida while Zach served as an intern for the Gators

Courtney Smith claims Shelley Meyer was among several coaches' wives who were aware of a domestic violence incident in 2015 involving her then-husband

That, and the 2009 incident in Florida, recently came light and prompted Zach's dismissal at Ohio State on July 24

Shelley Meyer has not spoken publicly about the accusations, nor has Zach Smith.Meyer is set to make $7

6million this season after recently signing a two-year extension at Ohio State.'All the [coaches'] wives knew,' Courtney Smith told McMurphy

'They all did.Every single one.' Courtney Smith also alleged that Urban Meyer's long-time special assistant and friend, Hiram de Fries, urged her to drop charges against Zach after the incident in Florida in 2009, when he was arrested for allegedly abusing her while she was pregnant

'[De Fries] said, "If you don't drop the charges, Zach will never coach again,"' Courtney Smith told McMurphy

'"He's never hit you before.He was drinking.He'll probably never do it again.You should think about giving him a second chance

"' Zach was never convicted on any charges, but on July 20, 2015 Delaware (Ohio) County court issued a domestic violence civil protection order against him

According to magistrate David J.Laughlin, 'the court finds that [Courtney Smith] is in immediate and present danger of domestic violence and for good cause the following temporary orders are necessary to protect the persons named [Courtney Smith and her children Cameron, 8, and Quinn, 6] in this order from domestic violence In an interview with Stadium, Courtney Smith said she was warned by other people in her life not to press charges on her then-husband: 'I was told: "Don't call the police

If you call the police, he's going to get arrested, it's going to go to the media, he's going to lose his job

What are you and the kids going to do?"' The couple has two children together.Courtney Smith did not press charges after the alleged incident in 2009

However, Zach Smith was investigated on suspicion of domestic violence in 2015 after an altercation that allegedly resulted in unspecified injuries to Courtney, who told the Powell, Ohio police that she was abused habitually by her then-husband

Courtney Smith told McMurphy that she left Zach in June of that year, but she claims he continued to abuse and harass her

She said she shared photos of bruises on her arms and neck that she suffered during altercations with Zach in 2014 and 2015

Courtney Smith added that she shared another photo in which her thumb was gushing blood after Zach allegedly cut her with a smokeless tobacco tin in 2014

Last month, Zach Smith was charged with criminal trespassing after dropping his children off at Courtney's home

That arrest brought the 2009 and 2015 allegations to light, which ultimately led to his firing

According to a criminal complaint obtained by the website Eleven Warriors, Zach Smith was told not to come to her residence

'Mr.Smith took his son to his ex-wife's residence (redacted) to drop him off after being instructed by Ms

Smith not to come to her residence and disregarding a previous criminal trespass warning that had been given to him by Detective Pentz on Dec

19, 2017 at 2 p.m.,' read the complaint.'The incident was witnessed by Ms.Smith and their son along with photographs of Mr

Smith's vehicle being present in her driveway.Mr.Smith also admitted to Sgt.Roach that he was present on Ms

The coach claims he notified his superiors and was told that the recommendation was for the Smiths to attend counselling and move forward

Courtney Smith said in the Stadium interview that she believes the Meyers could have done more to help her

'When somebody is crying out for help, I believe the coach, along with the coach's wife, have a duty,' Courtney Smith said

'They have a duty to do something to help, instead of worrying about winning games, or instead of worrying about who his mentor is and who his family is and trying to protect that, somebody's safety and the safety of their children and the environment they're in needs to be more important

' Smith played for Meyer at Bowling Green in 2002, when the former was a walk-on.He went on to follow Meyer to Florida, where the head coach would win the first of his three national championships in 2006

After his second title in 2008, Meyer stepped away from football in 2010 before returning to coach the Buckeyes in 2012

On s'y est préparé. Nous avons utilisé ce mois de juillet pour rencontrer des autorités et aussi, plus techniquement, pour que le navire Aquarius soit prêt à accueillir 400 personnes pendant 15 jours, ce qui n'était absolument pas le cas avant le mois de juin

Donc, on s'y attend, on s'y prépare, même si ce n'est absolument pas souhaitable

On aimerait que l'Europe puisse mettre en place un système efficace de débarquement dans les ports les plus proches, à Malte ou dans le sud de l'Italie
