Hi guys I'm Shelly, welcome back to my channel, and the #DisabilityGamechanger campaign.

I've said that 5 times, I'm gonna get it right.

This is a campaign by Scope. Who, as you may remember,

I have featured before on this channel with the #EndTheAwkward campaign.

Which I will link here.

Scope are the leading British disability charity.

They recently did a survey, bringing together lots of research from disabled people around the country.

They wanted to find out about disabled day to day lives.

What brings happiness or frustration, and how disabled people live from moment to moment, day to day.

Looking at Attitudes towards disabled people.

Work, Support and Social Care.

Public Transport and Digital Technology.

It showed that 49 percent of Disabled people. Feel excluded in some way by society.

Only 23 percent felt valued by society.

And only 42 percent of people think that the UK is a good place to be a disabled person.

When asked what things help disabled people live an independent life.

They found that a strong family, and friend network. Are amongst the most important factors.

Showing that, as we probably already knew. The Government need to stabilize, or put back in place.

A care system. Because there just isn't one there, to support disabled people.

I can relate to this. My experience trying to get social help in any way, has been traumatic.

Ranging from being ignored, or being told to go away, or being told that I'm not ill enough.

At one point actually being attacked for asking for help.

I have been called a liar, I have been called lazy.

At one point I was actually threatened with removal from my own home.

Because the prejudice against disabled and chronically ill people.

I to this day. Do not ask for social help at all, and I'm scared to ask for help in public.

Because of how I've been treated in the past.

Because of how threatened and how isolated I feel,

It has beaten me back, and made me scared to live an independent life outside.

That being said, I do, every day. Fight for the same rights as everybody else.

Family and Friends make up my support group, and my care group, where social have let me down.

I have taught myself to use technology to be able to communicate, and socialize with the outside world.

I have YouTube, as my way of protesting and informing and communicating with the world.

On the back of information like this. Scope have launched the campaign #DisabilityGamechanger

To show the faces of disabled people, and how every single day we are fighting for our rights to be part of society.

To be part of a community, to get a job, to get care. To have a social life to be a part of the world.

Scope are asking for everybody to show support for a disabled equality!

It doesn't matter if you're disabled or not.

They are asking you to show up, and to fight for the Equality for disabled people.

There is a campaign you can join, you give them your email address. They give you information.

You put videos out on Twitter. They have made a great campaign video,

you share it on your social media. I will link them everywhere!

They've made one with audio description, they have made one with British sign language.

And they have asked disabled people, like myself.

To share the message, which is what I'm doing today.

I'm so grateful for Scope. They fight for equality and that's all that we're asking.

As disabled people, we are asking to be part of society.

We are asking not to be judged, by what our bodies can and can't do.

David Katz Did Not Tweet Death Threat Before Shooting | Heavy.com

David Katz has been identified as the sole suspect in a shooting that occurred in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday, August 26.

Before his identity was confirmed, social media users were doing their best detective work, trying to figure out who the gunman was.

There was one tweet in particular that had a lot of people convinced that they had solved the case — but the tweet was just an unfortunate coincidence.

The tweet was sent out by Derek Jones a.k.a.

"Djones," who identifies himself as a "professional Madden player" in his now-removed Twitter bio.

His tweet was not meant as any kind of threat, nor did it have any direct correlation to what happened a few hours later at the Madden event in Jacksonville.

However, as you can see, the tweet was chilling, especially before police had released the name of the suspect.

"Single [elimination].

In the mood to kill someone tonight," the tweet read.

You can see it below.

Shortly after Jones became the talk of the internet (and the one whom people were pointing fingers at), his account was suspended.

This led to even more chatter about Jones being behind today's shooting.

However, police soon set the record straight, confirming that the suspect was 24-year-old Katz — a Baltimore native.

Authorities say that Katz opened fire at the GLHF Gaming Bar at The Jacksonville Landing around 1 p.m.

Eastern.

Katz had lost early on in the tournament and was said to be upset over it — so upset that he left the event only to come back an unknown amount of time later with a gun in his hand.

One witness told the Los Angeles Times that Katz "targeted a few people" before turning the gun on himself.

At the time of this posting, three people had been confirmed dead and several others were wounded.‌.

Jones has not released a public statement about the tweet or about Sunday's shooting.

His Twitter account is still suspended at this time.

Today I'm going to show you how to make a choc/ matcha sponge cake. It's easy and fail-proof method.

Put some parchment paper on the mold.

Cover the sides with paper first and leave the paper on the floor slightly.

Sieve all dry ingredients together.

Add cocoa powder if you want chocolate flavor or you can add green tea powder(matcha powder).

Do not put the sifted powder back into the jar and leave it as it is until use.

Keep butter and milk warm at 5~60 degrees Celsius until used.

Make meringue. Whip the cold egg white, while putting into the sugar three times.

Keep whipping at medium-high speed with a hand mixer.

Add one-third of the sugar when the white is like a beer bubble.

Now it's time to add the second sugar.When you drop the meringue, it leaves a slight mark.

Add the third sugar as it comes up like a mountain around the hand mixer.

If the meringue feels firm, whip for 1 to 2 minutes at low speed.It's about 90 percent whipped.

When you slowly lift the bubble vertically, it produces a hard, but slightly soft horn.

Add yolk to meringue and mix at low speed. Stop as soon as it turns light yellow color. Do not overmix.

Add only half of the dry ingredients that you've already sifted.

Rotate the bowl consistently with one hand, and move the spatula hand as if it were the letter 'J'.

If you take it too slowly, it's easy to get lumps. Please fold it at a constant speed.

You don't have to mix perfectly this time. Add all the rest of the powder when you see a little powder on the batter.

Fold the batter regularly. Keep the bowl rotating regularly with the other hand.

Please scrup out the powder on the side.

It's time to add warm butter and milk.

Add a bit of batter to butter side that is kept hot at over 50 degrees. then mix quickly.

This way, you can mix better than putting butter and milk right into the batter.

Pour lightly into the bowl.

After butter is added, it is easy to reduce the volume of batter by overmixing.

Folding is good for 20 to 30 times. Stop as soon as you think it's all mixed up. Do not overmix.

The batter with chocolate and matcha is more difficult because the volume of batter is easier to break than a plain flavor.

Place it in a mold as if dropping from high.

When finished, use a spatula to level the surface.

Drop lightly to remove unnecessary air bubbles.

Bake 25~30 minutes at 165 degrees.

Drop baked sponge cake so that remove remaining water vapor from it.

Turn upside down and cool.

Ypu can get three 1.5-centimeter-high sponge sheets.

It tastes better to seal it and age it for more than a half day.

You can store it 2 days at room temperature, 2 to 3 weeks in the freezer. Please keep it sealed.

Its name is "Minakuchi Hikiyama Matsuri"

It takes place in Minakuchi Shrine

Hikiyama are huge float parade in the streets

In Japanese, "Yama" is "mountain". "Hiki" is "to pull" -> "To pull the mountains" ("Hiki" also means "to play musical instrument" and music is a very important point in this festival)

On April 19th, the most important is especially the night

Some of Hikiyama come in the Minakuchi temple.

They going to the temple with festival music

Music draw on Kanda-Bayashi

Kanda-bayashi is traditionnal music often played in Matsuri. It cames from Kanto (Tokyo area)

The main musical instruments are Taiko...

(Taiko are traditional drums and a key point of Japanese culture. The practice of Taiko is a real art: he requires important physical skills and a perfect mastery of gestures to achieve a perfect sound)

Tributes from ex-presidents to world leaders pour in for late U.S. Senator John McCain - Duration: 1:29.

Tributes have been flooding in for the late U.S. Senator John McCain, who died over the

weekend after losing his battle with brain cancer.

Ro Aram has more.

Former presidents and politicians have been leading the tributes for the long-time Republican.

Ex-President Barack Obama, who beat McCain to the White House in 2008, issued a statement,

saying all should aspire to McCain's courage to put the greater good above our own.

Obama added that despite their differences, they shared a "fidelity to something higher."

George W. Bush described him as a man of deep conviction and a patriot of the highest order.

Jimmy Carter said Americans will be ever grateful for the Vietnam veteran's heroic military

service and for his steadfast integrity as a member of the U.S. Senate.

Fellow politicians and current President Donald Trump also expressed their condolences via

social media.

McCain was one of Trump's harshest critics throughout his campaign and presidency.

Tributes also came in from world leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel,

British Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Barack Obama and George W. Bush are expected to give eulogies at a funeral at Washington

National Cathedral.

McCain's family is reported to have said they do not want President Trump to attend.

Vice President Mike Pence is expected to represent the White House instead.

Two Koreas coul hold another round of family reunions within this year - Duration: 1:42.

Tens of thousands of families divided by the Korean War have yet to be selected for these

reunions, but they might get another chance soon.

According to the South Korean Red Cross, both sides have agreed that another round of reunions

needs to be held this year.

Park Hee-jun has more.

The next round of inter-Korean family reunions could happen sooner than expected.

Speaking to the press pool at the reunion center at Mount Kumgang,... the President

of the South Korean Red Cross, Park Kyung-seo, said Saturday... that he and the North's number-two

official on reunification, Pak Yong-il,... agreed on the need to hold another round of

reunions within the year.

The relatives on both sides are getting older, and around 3 or 4 thousand of them die each

year.

In less than 10 years,... there could be almost no one left for the reunions, so the South

Korean official said he considers this issue a top priority.

Although the exact date has not been set,... Park said he expects it to happen near the

end of October... before it gets too cold for the participants, who are almost all very

elderly.

He also said the reunion will be similar to this most recent session -- in terms of schedule

and size.

The two Koreas will decide on the details through working-level talks.

The South Korean Red Cross chief also credited North Korea for its role in the latest round.

It was the North's cooperation, he said, that allowed for the participants to enter the

North without having to get off their buses... and for them to have meals with their relatives

without supervision.

He also called the first set of reunions since the Panmunjom Declaration was signed during

this year's inter-Korean summit... a major success.

[ISSUE TALK] Trump cancels Pompeo's visit to North Korea putting ball back in Pyongyang's court - Duration: 14:19.

To try and help break down the implications of this latest development, we have with us

Dr. Bong Young-shik from the Yonsei Institute for North Korean Studies.

Thank you for taking the time to come in today.

1 - President Trump called off Pompeo's visit to Pyongyang, a day after Pompeo announced

he was going.

He said there was not sufficient progress being made on North Korea's denuclearization.

It's the first time he has really admitted to problems with denuclearization negotiations.

Is this a bad sign or is this just another Trump negotiation tactic, like when he cancelled

his summit with Kim Jong-un, as mentioned in the report?

1b - There are some who would say that this was perhaps a good decision, as all signs

suggested that Pompeo would not come back with anything substantial from the proposed

visit.

Would you agree with that?

2 - North Korea have so far given no response to this cancellation.

How do you think the North Korean leadership are feeling at the moment, and how do you

think they will respond?

2a - When Trump cancelled the summit last time, Pyongyang made the move reaching out

to put the summit back on again.

It showed how much they wanted the summit.

Does this now put the ball back in Pyongyang's court again?

Does Trump have the upper hand?

3 - Trump has also blamed China for not helping with the North Korea denuclearization process

because of the trade dispute Washington and Beijing are having.

Do you think he has a point?

And what effect do you think this will have, if any?

4 - Beijing has offered a strong rebuke to Trump's comments.

A foreign ministry spokesperson called it irresponsible and a total disregard of basic

facts.

President Xi Jinping is reportedly visiting Pyongyang for North Korea's 70th anniversary

celebrations of the regime's foundation.

Do you think this changes the atmosphere of the visit and what the he will talk about

with Kim Jong-un?

5 - Trump says Pompeo is looking forward to going to Pyongyang in the near future, most

likely after the trading relations with China is resolved.

That leaves the door open for a visit in the future, but the trading relationship with

China doesnt look like it will be resolved any time soon.

Does that mean the negotiations between Washington and Pyongyang will be at a standstill for

the foreseeable future?

And if that is the case, who loses out here, the U.S. or North Korea?

6 - South Korea's President Moon is set to have his third summit with Kim Jong-un

some time in September.

In response to Trump's decision over the weekend, the Blue House spokesperson came out and said

that he believes President Moon's role as mediator between Washington and Pyongyang

is greater than ever before.

Would you agree with that statement?

7 - How much can South Korea move ahead without progress between U.S. and

North Korea?

If denuclearization talks have stalled, what more can South Korea do independently?

Is President Moon's most important role as mediator?

8 - North Korean state media has revealed that

a Japanese tourist has been released from detention, citing humanitarian reasons.

The timing of this announcement has caught some attention.

What do you make of this news?

9 - Satellite photos have shown vehicles and troops preparing for the military parades

that are expected on September 9th for the celebrations of the regime's foundation.

Scud-class launchers have been spotted but not intermediate or ICBM launchers.

If North Korea were to display its ICBM's how provocative a stance do you think

it will be, and how much damage could

do for negotiations with the U.S.?

Family reunion participants part ways after three-day event in North Korea - Duration: 3:02.

A second set of reunions were held over the past several days in North Korea... for families

from both sides separated by the Korean War.

Those reunions wrapped up on Sunday with an emotional send-off.

The families had been apart for almost seven decades.

Our Cha Sang-mi brings us some scenes from that event.

The second round of inter-Korean family reunions began on Friday, with the participants from

the South driven by bus to North Korea's Mount Kumgang resort.

Eighty-one people from North Korea were selected to meet with their South Korean relatives,

numbering 326 people in total.

The families met and had dinner for the first time in 68 years,.. some of whom had never

seen each other before.

"Mother waited 68 years for you.

I'm glad you're well and healthy.

Never in my dreams did I think you'd be alive."

Cho Jung-ki burst into tears as he talked to his father.

The elder Cho's wife was three months pregnant with their son when they were split across

the border.

On day two, the families spent some quality time together separately in assigned rooms,

eating lunch and having candid conversations without supervision or press.

The families exchanged presents, too.

"Did you prepare many gifts?"

"I brought jackets, noodles and daily goods.

These five bags are full of daily necessities.

I'm happier now as I can give them some gifts."

Before going into the private setting,.. Yoon Chang-seop, couldn't hide his delight after

seeing his long-lost uncle from the North.

The last day came all too quickly.

Long-separated families finally reunited... but having to part ways again.

"I cried every time I thought of saying goodbye to you."

"If we live long and stay healthy, the time will come for us to meet again."

"I wish.

I wish we could see each other every day."

The older sister promises they'll meet again in the future, knowing they probably won't.

The participants say the three days they spent together -- despite being under strict control

-- were amazing.

The families had a session for exchanging letters, where some grandchildren, nephews

and nieces, wrote heartfelt letters for their grandparents, aunts and uncles, and vice versa.

The grandchildren had never seen their North Korean grandparents before, but they invited

them to their homes in the South.

The venue for Sunday's farewell became a sea of tears, but it seemed they were happy deep

down.

The families said the three days flew by and they wanted to stop time so they wouldn't

have to say goodbye.

Just after lunch, though, the South Korean participants left Mount Kumgang, going home

and heading back to their regular lives.
