Youtube daily report Mar 17 2017

the minor mode –

part 1: natural and harmonic minor, an Artificial

Leading Tone, and Cadences. We hope that you have taken the time to actually

do the paper and pencil exercises suggested in a previous video.

If not, we strongly urge you to go back and do so, because we will be building on that

foundation.

Upcoming material will not be easier, but harder.

A link to download the textbooks is in the description.

Now that we understand each other … We have up to this point dealt exclusively

with the Major Mode, pointing out that there are Seven Primary Tones and Five Secondary

Tones, for a total of 12 tones in the octave.

When played consecutively, they form a chromatic scale.

The Seven Primary Tones of the Major Mode are organized in two identical and connected

tetrachords.

The four tones of each tetrachord follow the whole-tone, whole-tone, and semitone pattern.

The two tetrachords are separated by a whole-tone.

Now, just as there are 12 tones in Major, there are 12 in Minor.

Don't forget, any of the 12 tones can become the tonic of a new key, through the process

of transposition.

So there are 12 possible minor tonics as well.

The closest relative of any Major Scale is the Minor Mode having the same key signature.

We call it the Relative Minor, and its root or tonic is the sixth tone of the Major Scale,

the submediant.

It is a minor third below the root of the major scale.

See the link in the description for more on the Minor Mode.

The Relative Minor of C Major is therefore, a minor, which, like the key of C Major, has

no flats or sharps in its key signature.

How observant were you?

Did you notice our use of a lower case letter to label the minor key?

The Relative Minors of F Major, G Major, B-flat Major, D Major, etc. are, respectively, d

minor, e minor, g minor, b minor, and so forth.

Notice the matching key signatures, and the upper case vs. lower case.

Because the order of the tones is different, the two tetrachords of the Minor Mode are

different, and the relationship between the individual tones is different.

Look at the notes of the a minor mode.

That's LA, TI, DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA'.

As before, there are two tetrachords separated by a whole-tone, but now the pattern of the

lower tetrachord is whole-tone, semitone, whole-tone: LA, TI, DO, RE.

The upper tetrachord is different: semitone, whole-tone, whole-tone: MI, FA, SOL, LA'.

It changes the sound.

The arrangement of tones in the minor scale creates new sounds and possibilities for chord

progression, notably at cadences.

Restricted to the unaltered tones of the minor mode, only the plagal cadence – iv-i – is

possible, at first glance.

Notice our use of lower case Roman numerals.

The natural minor mode has no Leading Tone, and with no LT, an authentic cadence is not

possible.

Now, the minor [v-i] is an interesting sound, too, but w/out a LT, the strong feeling of

a cadential close is not felt.

By the way, what note would be the LT of A?

Yes, G-sharp!

So by raising the seventh tone of the minor mode – G, or "SOL" S-O-L,– by a chromatic,

or "large" semitone – to G-sharp, or "SI" S-I,– we make the dominant triad

Major.

This action artificially transplants the Leading Tone of Major to the Minor key, essentially

a diatonic or "small" semitone below the octave of the root tone of the minor scale:

Major V-i. an [AC] in minor.

Some modern composers have experimented with mixed key signatures – Bela Bartok, for

one – but at this level of our study, we simply add an accidental whenever we need

the Leading Tone in minor.

The minor key retains the key signature of its relative major.

Where it comes to triads of the Minor Mode - the HARMONY - we use the harmonic minor

scale as a pool of notes to draw from, for making chords.

In solfège, that's LA, TI, DO, RE, MI, FA, SI, LA'.

That explains why we add an accidental to raise the G by a chromatic semitone, though

the key signature of a minor is the same as that of C Major.

Whenever the seventh scale degree has to function as a Leading Tone, we add the accidental.

As in this cadence.

Now that we've enjoyed an appetizer of minor tonality, we'll let it digest, until we

return next time with the entrée, for what is NOT a "minor" meal.

Be sure to give this clip a thumbs up and subscribe for updates.

Malaysian Food - Eating Nasi Lemak in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Duration: 9:46.

Well good morning good morning.

Today we are having a late breakfast.

It is probably close to ten in the morning and we're at a place called Old Town White

Coffee.

So we're going to be having Nasi Lemak which is one of the national dishes of Malaysia.

And it basically consists of rice cooked in coconut milk.

Steamed with coconut milk.

So that should be really tasty.

We've ordered two different varities.

Sam already has his white coffee here so he'll be having that.

And you have?

And I got I forget what I got.

Something with lime.

Lime juice?

Lime tea?

Lime juice?

I had a sip of it and it has a natural nice lime flavor.

Oh la lah.

So try that out.

Really sour.

That will wake you up in the morning.

Yeah.

So considering the name of this restaurant.

It is called OldTown White Coffee.

And the reason we're laughing is because I screwed this up on the previous clip.

It is called Old Town White Coffee and white coffee is basically it is a coffee that originated

from the city of Ipoh.

So if you're traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Penang you're going to pass along.

Probably pass thorugh there.

Yeah, you're going to pass along that it is on the west side of Malaysia.

Anyways um the coffee is really cool because it has condensed milk.

It is made with condensed milk.

Yeah, to sweeten it.

And it is a lighter roast as well.

Yeah, exactly.

You can even see that in the color.

It is a uniquely Malaysian coffee.

So let's try that.

Were you about to say Manilan?

It is a Manilan coffee!

It is a Manilin coffee.

No.

We are struggling this morning.

We've just woken up.

English words are not being spoken.

Yeah but at least your first language is Spanish.

I don't have a default language to fall back on.

When I'm not speaking English well there is nothing else to fall back on.

So anyways what I wanted to say it has a nice rich, frothy texture.

There we go.

You can definitely taste the condensed milk and you can also taste the sugar that has

been added in as well.

But yeah, it is a lighter roast and it doesn't have that strong like overpowering coffee

taste.

Bitterness.

Yeah, it doesn't have that bitterness and it is a little bit more palattable and it

goes down a little bit easier.

Yeah, so we have a bit of a funny situation on our hands.

What is that?

So we ordered two mains and dessert.

We were hoping the dessert would come after but it was the first thing to show up.

Haha.

And it is made with ice so this is going to start melting which means we have to eat it

first now.

In fact, it already is melting.

Yeah, look it is like soupy.

Um, so anyways this is Cendol and basically it is ice with coconut milk.

It has palm sugar which you can see in here.

Then this green stringy stuff.

It can be made from rice flour or mung bean.

We also have some rice balls here at the bottom.

Yeah, and this I'm not entirely sure.

Oh, this is probably the red bean paste.

Yeah that would be it.

Alright.

Okay, so let's grab.

And it is the best dessert slash drink that you can have in Malaysia to cool down.

Especially mid-afternoon when you're like dying of the heat and humidity.

Haha.

Mmmm.

When you're walking around.

That is really nice.

Is that nice?

Mmmm.

So refreshing isn't it?

So sweet and refreshing.

I even think this is like coconut cream.

It is not even milk.

It is so rich and thick.

Oh wow.

Good stuff huh?

And then the palm sugar.

Palm sugar.

I have to say I really like palm sugar.

Yeah.

We've been having a lot of desserts and they usually bring you like this miniature picture

filled with palm sugar and I just pour it all over my desserts so let's just go all

out.

Mmmmm.

Well, we're starting off with something sweet.

I can't say I mind really.

Dessert for breakfast.

Yeah, you know what?

We're that is not too much of a stretch for us.

We're the type of people that would eat dessert for breakfast.

We've been known to have cake for breakfast.

Oh yeah.

Cheesecake, cheesecake for breakfast.

Of course.

Why wouldn't you?

If it is available.

Hahaha.

What do you think?

You're right.

That is really good.

Yeah.

Really rich coconut taste which I love.

And then just the refreshingness of the ice and then all of the other ingredients.

I like the that there is some chewy components to it.

Like the beans and also the little green strips.

Those are really good.

I can't say I've ever had Cendol with the little rice balls.

That is something new.

And it kind of reminds me of the rice balls we would have in South Korea.

So yeah, this is really refreshing.

Really tasty and we do need to finish it before it melts.

Okay, so we got two different kinds of Nasi Lemak.

Yeah.

Sam, do you remember the name of yours?

I better say it quickly.

Ayam Masakamara.

And ayam means chicken.

Yes.

And it looks like it has a kind of a I'm guessing it might be a spicy kind of gravy on top of

it.

So I'm going to go for the chicken first.

That looks good.

I'll have a bite of that.

Oh.

Mmmm.

At first you think it is just really sweet with a lot of like uh ingredients and spices

but then it really hits you with the hot peppery spices as you're swallowing it.

Woah.

That is spicy.

And what else do you have on your plate?

So what else.

I have coconut milk rice.

So it is rice that has been cooked in coconut milk.

And that is really really tasty.

That is probably my favorite part of a Nasi Lemak.

Really good.

And then over here we have what appears to be some crackers.

So I'm just going to use it as a little spoon.

Mmmm.

This is nice and light.

Super light.

Not a strong taste there.

And then over here we have the sambal.

Sambal.

And that is supposed to be a spicy and sweet sauce.

We'll see how spicy it is.

It actually is.

Mmmmm.

That is really really good.

Yeah, it is spicy but it is really sweet too.

It is very very sweet.

Very rich in its taste.

And then cucumber.

To finish off we have some cucumber with it.

So yeah.

I think the classic is actually supposed to come with peanuts but maybe because we ordered

chicken they didn't put the peanuts in it.

Yeah, that is what I think.

I was hoping for those.

The roasted peanuts are really good.

I like those.

I know but the chicken is delicious though.

Oh yeah.

Alright my turn.

Okay, so I had initially ordered the tumeric chicken but they didn't have any!

It was gone.

So my backup plan was chicken curry.

Curried chicken.

How do you say it?

Chicken curry.

Curry chicken.

Curry chicken.

No, I think it was chicken curry.

Man, it is interchangeable.

The fat.

I don't like the fat.

There I like my meat lean.

So I'll get a bit of this.

I actually thought it would be kind of like diced chicken in a thick curry.

That is what I'm used to when I order curry.

Liked diced chicken breast.

I know.

Getting fancy.

Okay, so let's just grab a bit of everything.

Chicken, rice and sambal.

Mmmmm.

Is that good?

Wow.

The sauce kind of has a fishy flavor.

It does.

Yeah, it does.

Like anchovies.

I should have mentioned that.

Yeah.

I wasn't.

Definitely.

Woah.

Definitely anchovies.

This is hitting me right now.

And what is the other.

You have something else too?

Yeah.

That is different from ours.

It looks like it could be some potato wedges or something.

Let's see.

What is that?

It is potato.

Yeah.

It is like a boiled potato but I think then it has been pan-fried lightly to make it kind

of golden and crispy.

Yep.

So what do you think of the Nasi Lemak?

It is pretty good.

Yeah.

Do you like the coconut rice?

Mmmm.

I do.

Yeah.

That is my favorite part.

It is not like a super strong coconut flavor.

I'm not sure I'd notice on my own right away.

My taste buds aren't that refined.

But it is good.

And I've been eating this at the hotel for breakfast as well in the mornings and they

kind of have like the do it yourself thing where you can scoop out the rice yourself

grab some peanuts and anchovies.

The sambal.

The little veggies.

So it is a dish that I feel a bit familiar with.

Yeah, oh man but the sambal.

It is really hitting me today.

Yeah.

And the other thing we should point out is that you can have this anytime of day.

It is breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack or whatever.

It is readily available.

Um, it is so easy to find.

Basically pop into in fact most restaurants have it I would say.

Okay, so that was a big breakfast meal.

That is a really big breakfast.

If you're not that hungry you probably shouldn't order that.

That was a really big breakfast.

Anyways, in terms of price point that came to 42.90 Ringgit which is just under$10 US

dollars.

Nine something.

And yeah, that was for two drinks, two mains and a dessert.

So yeah.

And you can find this place inside the Central Market here in KL.

Yeah.

We probably didn't need the dessert for breakfast but you know that is just the way we roll.

Bloopers.

So considering the name of this restaurant.

It is called Old Time White.

What is it?

Old Town.

It is called Old Town.

Try that again.

White coffee.

And we're going to be having Nasi Lemak which is like one of the traditional breakfasts.

Break-fasts.

Breakfast.

We're going to be having Nasi Lemak.

Which is one of the traditional break-fasts.

Breakfasts.

It actually has a kind of a rich frothy flavor.

No.

It has a rich flothy.

Frothy.

Coffee has a rich frothy.

What do I call it rich frothy flavor.

2 High-Level Govt Child Trafficking Rings Busted and American Media is Silent - politics - Duration: 5:50.

2 High-Level Govt Child Trafficking Rings Busted and American Media is Silent

In late 2016, the governments spin machine made it a point to feature pizza gate,

only to mock anyone who would ever believe it to be true.

The thought that high-level government officials in the U.S. would or could ever be involved

in sex-trafficking or pedophilia was presented as far-fetched conspiracy theory, only believed

by the fringe elements of society.

But as The Free Thought Project has reported on numerous occasions, pedophilia involving

high-level government officials is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

In the North Bengal region of India, a child welfare officer, Indias equivalent of a

Child Protective Services official was arrested for her role in a child-trafficking ring.

Sasmita Ghoshs arrest makes the seventh as of late.

The States Criminal Investigative Department (CID) made the arrests.

According to the Hindu, The CID had unearthed the child trafficking racket during raids

at homes and nursing homes in Baduria area of North 24 Parganas district, in Behala in

the southern fringes of Kolkata and some other parts of south Bengal in November last year.

Abortion clinics in the area were convincing mothers to give birth to their children in

exchange for money ranging between $1,400 and $4,500 USD.

Other birthing centers told mothers their children were stillborn, when they werent,

allowing the clinic to steal the babies for sale on the black market.

The children were transported in bread baskets to nursing homes in the area where they would

remain until they were sold into servitude, as sex slaves, or brothels.

It is a huge network of NGOs, nursing homes, doctors and middlemen dealing in illegal adoption

and baby trafficking that the police have busted.

Our men are now building on the huge leads they have already got in this case, Rajesh

Kumar, CIDs Additional Director General told the press.

Additionally, investigators believe foreigners were buying the children.

Currency from other countries was found at the same time the children were discovered.

Several corpses and skeletons of infants were also unearthed in the raided businesses.

Child trafficking is on the rise in the U.S.

In 2006, a woman living in North Carolina, Mercedes Farquharson, fled the country when

it was discovered shed been using two young girls as house slaves, forced to farm the

land, and do all the household chores, along with cooking and cleaning.

In 2009, she was arrested in Bulgaria, where shed fled to escape justice.

The trafficking of children isnt limited to lowly child-protective service workers

either.

Hama Amadou, an opposition leader in the Sahel state of Niger was sentenced to one year in

prison for providing babies to Nigers elite society.

Prosecutors claim that Amadou was one of a group of people accused of smuggling babies

from Nigeria via Benin to wealthy couples in Niger by falsely claiming the parenthood

of around 30 children, according to Deutsche Welle (DW), Germanys international newsgroup.

Childlessness is Niger is looked down upon, so one way the elitists solved their own infertility

problem was to take someone elses child as their own.

DW described what happened after they acquired a child, At the turn of the last decade,

Nigers elite went through a baby boom.

Women who had been childless for years were suddenly celebrating the birth of their first

child. The miraculous blessings of motherhood reportedly came at the expense of someone

elses presumably stolen, purchased, or seized baby.

Amadou was tried in asentia and his lawyer says the allegations are politically motivated.

Closer to home, Child Protective Services, as TFTP has consistently reported, is authorized

to kidnap children at will, and place those children in foster care homes.

The governments own agency charged with protecting children, routinely displaces babies,

children, and adolescents away from their parents in order to supposedly protect those

children.

Many of those same CPS workers are abusers as well, who sometimes place those kidnapped

children in the homes of sexual predators, where they are routinely victimized.

The terrorist organization evokes fear in the hearts of so many parents.

The power CPS possesses is legally unmatched in all of society.

If youd like to peruse our archives of CPS articles, you can do so by clicking here.

Children are being ripped from their parents for something as innocent and well-intentioned

as homeschooling.

If child trafficking arrests of government officials can happen around the world, why

is it so far-fetched to think it cannot and does not happen here in the U.S.?

The reality of the situation is that it is not at all far-fetched and even admitted.

But the American spin machine is able to make anyone who talks about it look like a crazy

person.

The problem is getting so large, however, these sickos are having a hard time keeping

it under wraps.

As the Free Thought Project previously reported, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney says

if the government actually investigated it, child trafficking would destroy both Democrats

and Republicans.

This car can not move forward alone, because the shock was very hard.

That's why the dépaneuse takes him on its platform.

Here in automotive service.

The tow truck will go inside to unload the Peugeot.

We will see which parts of the car have been damaged and need to be

changed.

So ... the special hoist raises the car by Earth.

Then the hoist back on the platform.

Thank you Ms. tow truck for your help !!!!

Now we must raise a little Peugeot with a special hoist garage.

We do it to observe the parties damaged.

We have all the tools to repair the car.

So let's go!!!

Let's look at what needs to be repaired, we have a windshield broken shock, a dented hood

a bent wheel and the driver mirror broke ... so we need to replace ....

all these pieces !!!

Here's a new hood and a new front shock, but they are of a different color

- Gray ... but we need green !!!!

So let's take the green paint and colorons these parts with a special spray paint.
