Youtube daily report Mar 19 2017

Hi We are Women of the World

Today, we are going to learn few words in Japanese.

"SUMIMASEN" is a very useful word to use in Japan.

You can use it in 5 different ways.

It could mean,

I'm sorry.

Excuse me.

Coming through!

Hello!

and Thanks!

Multi purpose!

Exactly!

You have to change your intonation

at different occasions when you say "Sumimasen"

When you want to say, "I'm sorry" using Sumimasen it's

"Sumimasen"

If there is a big crowd and you want to go through,

you say, Sumimasen with this hand gesture.

you want to apologize to people who are in front of you,

and also in the back.

SUMIMASEN

Not this...THIS

Ohhh

Sorry!

Next one is "Excuse me"

For example, when you bump into each other,

You say,

Uhh... Sumimasen

Uhh... Sumimasen

(Laughter)

Yes! Perfect!

Uhh... Sumimasen

Next one is "Hello"

It's like

when you go into a store,

and nobody is there,

You say, "Hello!" right?

so, you say,

Sumimase-----n!

So the last version is "Thanks"

You can kind of smile but you can show your...

Unbelievable!

Yeah!

Ah, Sumimase---n.

I hope you enjoyed learning Japanese with Women of the World.

Arigatou gozaimashita. (Thank you very much)
