We have some news just coming in...

The South Korean military has confirmed that North Korea attempted to fire a ballistic

missile this morning, but it failed.

We are still waiting for further details on the time and location.

This comes after Japan's Kyodo News Agency reported around 30 minutes earlier that North

Korea might have tried,... but failed,... to launch a ballistic missile earlier.

There had also been reports out of Japan that the North might have attempted to fire four

missiles.

We'll have more updates as we get them.

As a follow up to that report about Beijing's retaliation against the THAAD deployment...

South Korea is advising its nationals in China to carry their passports and relevant legal

documents with them at all times.

The announcement from the South Korean embassy in Beijing comes as the Chinese government

has been increasing its spot inspections of South Koreans and South Korean companies in

the country, checking if they have their documents with them.

Chinese authorities have tightened their crackdown in recent months... on South Korean enclaves,

restaurants and religious groups, chasing illegal residents and illegal employers in

the country.

U.S. top nuke envoy tells China its THAAD retaliation is worrisome - Duration: 2:05.

The top nuclear envoys from South Korea and the U.S. have met to discuss the North Korea

nuclear issue.

Mark, Washington's special representative for North Korea policy Joseph Yun highlighted

the U.S.'s high level of engagement with Seoul when he sat down for talks with his South

Korean counterpart Kim Hong-kyun.

U.S. President Donald Trump's phone conversations with Acting President and Prime Minister Hwang

Kyo-ahn and Defense Secretary James Mattis and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's trips

to South Korea were some of the examples Yun brought up to emphasize Seoul and Washington's

ironclad commitment to defend South Korea.

Yun's former stop was in China, where he held talks with Wu Dawei, and Yun said he will

be explaining his Beijing trip to South Korea's top nuclear envoy.

Yun did mention that he conveyed to China that its retaliation against the THAAD deployment

was uncalled for and is a growing threat to Washington.

The key to today's meeting was how Washington and Seoul are going to cooperate to push China,

North Korea's important ally.

Considering Yun's trip also comes on the heels of the new U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's

visit to South Korea last week,... the two top nuclear envoys were also set to discuss

Washington's so-called 'new approach' on North Korea.

According to Christopher Ford, senior director for weapons of mass destruction and counterproliferation

on the White House National Security Council,... he said that the North Korea problem "clearly

needs a new look" as past approaches to trying to contain that threat haven't worked out

effectively.

U.S. President Donald Trump continues to pressure Pyongyang,... most recently calling the North

Korean situation "disgraceful" as he inherited a lot of problems from the previous administration....

and that North Korea has been behaving very badly in his Twitter account.

Terrestrial navigation - determining position of vessel on nautical chart

Dear students and all people with interest in nautics

I hope you are following the correct order of studying

so you are going theory - practical theory - practical and

and if you are doing that then this is a video that follows after seventh part of theory

and this is practical part of #7 - determining position of the vessel - all methods.

This is not a REAL plotting since I am using laminated chart and marker

in order to make actions more noticeable on this video.

Real work on paper chart with pencil will be represented in a separate videos.

For that reason in this video I want to show you how it is done

with markers so it is more visible on video.

Let's start.

We talked about obtaining position of a vessel on different methods in terrestrial navigation

by observing two objects at the same time with compass with known errors (variation and deviation).

and we read out from compass compass bearing and add both corrections to get true bearing.

And if we have two true bearings we can locate our position on chart.

we're just a 100 kms away from Sydney

what you see behind us are the "Three Sisters"

this place has got a peculiarity

beyond the huge valley behind us

the colour

that comes from

from the oil generated by eucalyptus leaves

which combined to dust and air vapour

creates this colour

it s more visible at dusk and dawn

they create this blue colour on top of the trees

which is very nice

this place is very high and impressive

very interesting visit, we'd advice you to give it a go

it is not hard to reach, you'll need just to drive a bit

to BE around here..

we're heading south, towards Melbourne and Tasmania

you'll get to see the other attractions with us
