walking the journey towards Jesus

love why do I used to come alongside
students and parents as they figure out
what it means to walk to the journey
with Jesus and I don't love doing this
because I'm perfect at it I'm not a

you guys to catch up I'm going to place
your I'm still growing I'm still
learning what it means to live a life to
look like Jesus I'm not better than you
I don't claim to have all the answers
there are things in Scripture to confuse
me their things the Christian people do
that I don't understand why they do but
this walk this journey together let's
ask questions that find out more about
what it means to live a life following
Jesus to live a life that brings glory
to God when we start out on a journey we
must be wanting to keep walking even if
the journey gets hard in John chapter 16
we read and Jesus asked do you find him
to leave but the time is coming indeed
it's here now when you will be scattered
each one is going his own way leaving me
alone yeah I am NOT alone because the
father is with me I have told you all
this so it may have peace in me here on
earth you will have many trials and
sorrows but take heart because I have
overcome the world our focus on this
journey shouldn't be comfort or what the
world would say is a good life a
comfortable life if I'm climbing up the
money hillside and my focus is on
staying clean kids are i'm going to fail
that i'm going to get my hands and I'm
gonna fall on my knees and I might even
fall back down the hill hill because I'm
worried about getting dirty instead of
having my focus be on getting to the
of that hill but if my focus is on
getting to the top of the hill I'm going
to make it I'm going to get dirty i
might get scraped but if my goal is just
to get to the top of that hill no matter
what and not worry about what i look
like at the top of them dirty or hurt or
out of breath I'm liking it will make it
to the top of that hill my focus is and
I'm being clean or comfortable reaching
the top then lies my focus must be on
living for Jesus and for bringing guy
glory it can't be out being comfortable
we're having the right finance is
driving the right car or having right
girlfriend or boyfriend or being the
most popular guy on a basketball team in
high school my focus needs to be to live
for Jesus and to bring God glory and
when I do that everything else will take
second place so this week is we journey
to our cheese's together I would
encourage you to keep your focus on him
