Michael Strahan Went to Harvard Business School - Duration: 4:57.

-You know, I love having you back.

And I didn't know if you were going to come back.

-Why?

-Because the -- I don't know if you heard this.

The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl.

[ Cheers and applause ] ♪♪

-I mean, that was last year. Who cares?

-Oh, my gosh!

-You know what? You know what? Okay.

I was afraid to come back. -You were?

-Yeah.

-Because you knew The Roots would be --

-Well, not only -- All of them.

Usually, there's one or two in the hallway.

All of them were in the hallway this time,

just waiting for me.

-Just waiting like, "Hi, Michael!"

Yeah, what's up?"

-I tried to walk through and act like I didn't know them,

and they were like, "Oh, it's like that now?"

But we had a nice conversation. Congratulations, fellas.

After all those years of disappointment, you deserve it.

[ Laughter ]

-How do the Giants look this year?

They have a new coach. I met him.

-Yeah. -Pat Shurmur.

-Shurmur. He's good. I like him. He did a great job in Minnesota.

Should've been a head coach probably a long time ago.

So I'm happy with him. I think he's going to be great.

We got a revamped offensive line.

We got Saquon Barkley out of Penn State,

as a running back.

So I'm very confident that we could be knocking on the throne.

-Oh!

He says, "No." Yeah, yeah.

The one thing that I like about you is that

you do so many different things, but you do it all well.

-Thank you.

-But one thing that I just didn't know

that you did -- you went to Harvard?

-Yeah. Yeah, I went to Harvard, man.

I went to Harvard Business School.

Thank you. Thank you. -Yeah, congratulations on that.

Now, what was that like? And when did you go to Harvard?

-It was awesome. I went like three weeks ago.

[ Laughter ]

I went like three weeks ago.

And it was, like, a 4- or 5-day, like, business program.

-Oh, really? -I got a certificate.

And I got a lot of friends

who went for four years, got student loans.

I have no student loans and I got --

And I went to Harvard!

Yeah! -Harvard graduate!

-Yeah!

-I mean, that's what I'm talking about.

What is it? I don't understand.

-It was a business of entertainment, media,

and sports program that LL Cool J turned me onto.

And Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson turned me onto it.

And it was really cool.

You do all these case studies about different businesses.

And there were some athletes there.

But then there's some entertainment,

but mostly just business people.

But it was great to see, because as an athlete,

you're kind of isolated in a lot of ways.

-Yeah.

-But to be there with a lot of people in business

and feel like, "You know what?

Yeah, I can be comfortable and I belong in the business world."

And, for me, I've been out of it a while

and I've done things in business before.

A lot of the other athletes there,

from Lindsey Vonn to Chris Bosh, the soccer player Kaká,

which, you know -- I know --

What? Kaká? -Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry.

I have a brain of a 12-year-old boy.

-I do, too.

But to see these guys who are in a point in their career

where they're trying to find that transition --

-But you do all this cool stuff.

I mean, you have your own clothing line.

You have so many things going down.

Your own production company. -Mm-Hmm.

-You have "$100,000 Pyramid" that airs this Sunday.

-This Sunday. [ Cheers and applause ]

-"$100,000 Pyramid."

-And, this Sunday, you don't want to miss it.

-I know, because...

-Questlove is playing, everybody.

-Now, wait. [ Cheers and applause ]

I don't want to say, "How did he do?",

but how was he as a contestant?

-Well -- well, he was -- He was good.

[ Laughter ]

-Oh, my gosh.

-So, Quest -- Quest -- he was great.

But what I love is -- it's, like, a musical show.

So he's playing against Snoop Dogg.

So, you know, he and Snoop are going back and forth.

Quest -- I didn't know -- was such a big fan of the show

that he's like, "Michael, I got to come on the show.

I watch every episode. I study it."

And I'm like, "Dude, you need to get a life."

Like, you know...

But he was excellent.

-He studied the show.

-He studied the show. -You studied the "Pyramid"?

Like, the old -- the Dick Clark ones or --

-Yeah, I've collected all the episodes.

I studied them all.

-But you were good in the show. -It's been my dream.

-But I found out some interesting stuff.

He collects neck pillows, too.

You know how you go to the airport

and you buy a neck pillow?

He had over 300 neck pillows.

-Yeah. -What?

-Is that for real? -It used to be.

-Oh, my gosh.

That's so biz-- I did not know that.

-Oh, yeah.

-But on a music game,

I would never, ever play against Questlove.

He knows every single song ever in the whole wide world.

-He's very smart.

We had to tone him down, because he was using words

that we're like, "Quest, nobody's gonna --

Soliloquy -- they're not going to get whatever that...

You know, you got to be like,

"You know, it's, like, bubbly soda."

You know, it's like sparkling water."

"Yes, there you go." -Yeah, there you go.

-He was too smart for the game. We had to tone him down.

But you did great, man,

and I'm glad you came on and played.

-Thank you. Thanks for having me.

-And he looked at me and said, "You made my dreams come true."

And I really -- And it took me back.

I'm such a big fan, man.

I was honored that you could come and join us, seriously.

-I can't wait to watch this Sunday.

How the Trump Foundation Could Undercut the Public Trust in Charitable Giving | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:49.

How the Trump Foundation Could Undercut the Public Trust in Charitable Giving | Heavy.com

Then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump joins Jerry Falwell, Jr.

, left, president of Liberty University, for a campaign rally at the Adler Theatre where Trump presented a check to the Puppy Jake on January 30, 2016 in Davenport, Iowa.

By Cassandra Burke Robertson, Case Western Reserve University.

When New York State Attorney General Barbara Underwood recently sued the Donald J.

Trump Foundation and four Trump family members who serve on its board of directors, she alleged the foundation was "little more than a checkbook for payments" that personally benefited the Trump family rather than supporting good causes.

Along with the headaches it's causing the first family, the lawsuit is raising questions about charitable norms.

For example, some people may wonder whether the alleged misdeeds really stray so far from what other family foundations typically do.

That's why putting these allegations in context is important.

As a scholar of legal ethics who studies how organizations make decisions, I know that perceptions matter.

When the public believes that corruption is rife, people become more likely to break the rules for their own benefit.

Not like the other ones.

To be sure, the New York attorney general's allegations against the Trump Foundation are only that.

If proved in court, however, those allegations would indicate that the Trump Foundation did deviate from the way most private family foundations operate.

And these differences may have made it easier for the Trump Foundation to break laws.

First, most family foundations get all or most of the money they give away from their own fortunes.

Since these charities are set up so the wealthy can help others, their benefactors do not typically seek or obtain donations from outsiders.

Until 2008, the Trump Foundation was fairly normal in this regard; it was primarily funded with the Trump family's own money.

In the last decade, however, it relied solely on donations from outside sources, a highly unusual practice that former New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman ordered the foundation to stop nearly two years ago.

A second departure from the norm is the Trump Foundation's decision-making process.

By law, foundation boards must oversee spending.

Trustees have fundamental fiduciary duties – that is, they must ensure that spending serves the public good rather than enriching themselves.

To obey the law, even donors cannot insist on the granting of any particular payment.

Requiring the board as a whole to approve spending decisions prevents any one person from using foundation money as their personal slush fund.

Underwood's complaint alleges that the Trump Foundation board members improperly "ceded control" of this authority.

Indeed, Donald Trump allegedly ordered that outlays be made without conferring with other members of the foundation's board.

"Ceding" might be an understatement.

Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization's chief financial officer, was listed as the Trump Foundation's treasurer.

When New York authorities asked if he had realized he was on the board for at least 10 years, he replied, "I did not.".

Also, according to Attorney General Underwood, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski – who did not work for the foundation or even belong to its board – decided how some of the foundation's money would be spent.

A recipe for self-dealing.

If the New York lawsuit's allegations are correct, these departures from standard practice may have paved the way for the foundation to violate not just protocol but laws.

There are exceptions to the general rule that private foundations may not directly spend money in ways that benefit their donors, board members or staff, or anyone related to these people.

For example, a foundation may pay the donors' relatives what the IRS calls "reasonable compensation" for certain legal, clerical and other services.

Of course, defining reasonable compensation is tricky.

But, in my opinion, the acts of wrongdoing the Trumps stand accused of go far beyond one or two mistaken payments.

The alleged acts are illegal and, I believe, may result in fines or even criminal liability if proven.

The lawsuit alleges, for instance, that Trump Foundation funds covered the cost of settling at least two different legal claims involving Trump businesses and paid for promoting Trump-branded hotels.

In addition, the lawsuit alleges that the foundation illegally lent its name and used funds it raised from the public to back Donald Trump's presidential bid.

According to the lawsuit, decisions to make these payments were made without official review or approval by the board of directors as a whole.

How prevalent is this?.

Is it possible that other private foundations double as a personal checkbook for families with fortunes? Some probably do.

There are around 112,000 private foundations in the U.S., according to a recent Wall Street Journal investigation that explored the frequency of similar self-dealing problems and found a few.

Both federal and state authorities are empowered to audit these foundations to ensure compliance with the tax laws.

But enforcement gets limited funding, meaning that fewer than 1 percent of all nonprofit tax filings get audited each year.

Making official scrutiny rare means some wrongdoing probably slips through the cracks.

But evidence suggests that wrongdoers are the exception, not the rule.

Far fewer than 1 percent of foundation tax returns reveal any obvious evidence of self-dealing.

In short, most small foundations seem to obey rules against leveraging charitable assets for personal gain, behavior known as self-dealing, and having conflicts of interest.

It's possible that stepping up government oversight would catch a few more wrongdoers.

But audits are expensive, both for the government that spends tax dollars on enforcement, and for the charity that must satisfy the government's paperwork requests.

Given the high levels of compliance that likely already exist, such efforts probably wouldn't recover their costs with revenue from fines.

Copycat dangers.

Should the public come to believe that foundations regularly give their money away in a self-serving way, I fear this false impression could become more accurate.

Research has shown that seeing others cheat makes people more likely to do it too.

This dynamic also occurs in bigger groups.

In societies where corruption is believed to be commonplace, individuals are more likely to indulge in self-serving dishonesty, a study that compared and contrasted attitudes and behavior in Georgia, Tanzania, Guatemala and 20 other countries found.

Right now, I believe that most of the tens of thousands of Americans in families with their own private foundations take their responsibility seriously and spend or reserve the assets held in those charitable vehicles for their intended purpose.

But if the Trump Foundation lawsuit leads the public to believe otherwise, then there's a risk that more people responsible for philanthropic funds will indulge in self-dealing and corruption.

One way to stave off that problem would be to ramp up charitable oversight and enforcement, which are chronically underfunded.

Royal Ascot revellers go the extra furlong on merry race day - Duration: 3:00.

Royal Ascot got underway today with revellers and royalty rubbing shoulders at the famous horse racing event

Donning flamboyant hats and high stilettos, race-goers were snapped sharing laughs, drinks and romantic moments

Some were spotted walking around barefoot and a few had a snooze in the grass. Others supped straight from the Champagne bottle as they toasted a very British day out

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were also at the famous venue to congratulate jockey Frankie Dettori after he won the St James's Palace Stakes

The Duke of Sussex watched on as his new wife was pecked on the hand by Dettori, on the first of the five-day event this afternoon

The royal couple were presenting the jockey - who has been suspended after over-using his whip - with the glittering trophy following the 4.20pm race.

The former actress and animal lover could be seen smiling and joking with the three-time British champion, before he lent in to plant a peck on her hand as they greeted one another

But husband Harry looked less than impressed, only finally cracking a smile after the winner let go of his wife's hand and lifted his prize

The crowds of revellers also appeared to be having fun, with one woman appearing to have given up on her glass as she gripped a bottle of what looked like Champagne

Another lady was snapped appearing to help her friend out as she nearly fell over

Meanwhile, the excitement seemed to have got a bit too much for quite a few race-goers, who were pictured having a lie down on the grass

Ascot management scrapped the practice of roaming alcohol sellers in the stands and added to their arsenal with trained sniffer dogs monitoring attendees

Ascot Racecourse Chief Executive Guy Henderson said: "The use of illegal drugs and their contribution to anti-social behaviour is a significant issue for all major events

"This year we will continue proactively to address these challenges in order to pre-empt incidents arising from excess alcohol consumption and other anti-social behaviour

"Racing is now Britain's second largest spectator sport with the Royal meeting is expected to attract 300,000 racegoers this year, with 70,000 expected to attend Thursday's Gold Cup Day alone

Hello its Kinoshita Yuka ( English subtitles by ~Aphexx~ )

So today tadaa! I've gotta Kokoichi curry haul of 6 of their seasonal items

It's been awhile since I had them itadakimasu

I will start off with her handmade chicken katsu curry It comes with this red tartar sauce

This tartar sauce is only here for a limited time

And now to pour the sauce on top

It's rather spicy

The tartar sauce is given a tasty spicy flavor

The breading is so crispy and yummy

The tartar sauce has a nice spicy bite to it I like it quite a lot

Now for the salad

That looks so yummy

The Caesar dressing is so very creamy

The tartar sauce is not only just spicy its very tangy and creamy I love how much depth it has

This feels very spicy in my mouth

This is a chicken katsu curry with cheese

It comes with a saw specially made for the katsu

It's a perfect pairing of cheese and katsu flavors

The cheese is so yummy

Time for some chicken and summer vegetable curry

There are all sorts of different summery vegetables in here Tomatoes eggplant and okra

Also some little bits of cut up chicken

The flavors of the vegetables are nicely integrated into this sauce

With the sweetness granted by the veggies in here It's not as spicy as the other curry

spice curry ~THE~ 'chiki veg'

It's very similar to the other one As far as ingredients go

I guess the difference is that its spicier

This one has that very Curry-like spice to it

People that prefer spicier Foods Would probably like this one better

I'm not really that into spicy foods So I think I prefer the other one better

I like that you can get so much of your daily veg

Tuna salad

The spicy curry is so spicy that its Making me break out in a sweat

I asked for their level 1 spice but its pretty spicy

This is probably one of Curry's selling points

spicy AF

Oh by the way when I was in Kamakura I was able to blew....

do some glass blowing and I made this glass

It's a very summery looking glass isn't it

So next step we have spicy curry with ~THE~ chiki veg Topped with some scrambled egg

All of these spicy curries are rather spicy

With the added egg I think it would help control the spice a bit

With the added egg its a bit milder flavor

last up is their 3 flavors of Summer curry

If they're spicy curry with their katsu And topped off with the red tartar sauce

its all the brand new flavors all in one dish

The red tartar sauce is so yummy it's so very yummy with the katsu

There's also some curry in the sauce as well its got almost everything in it

Last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita kokoichi's limited edition summer curry was so yummy
