Youtube daily report Jun 6 2018

IPPS-A is going to give us that integrated system that our leaders, our Commanders and

our human resource personnel have never had before.

And it's going to improve the quality of life for our Soldiers and their families.

We're going to be the first to receive the value of integrating this personnel, pay and

talent management system.

We're going to receive the value of that first and we're very excited about it.

One of the the most stressful times in a traditional Guardsman's service is when they transition

from a traditional Guardsman to a mobilized Guardsman.

And that time and period where they transfer from their civilian life to active military

service is always very stressful.

And one of the things I found when I went through that process is, was I getting paid,

did I get all the benefits that I should get, and oh, by the way, was my family

--my wife and my kids--were they receiving those benefits?

You know, as I transitioned and I've been an Active, Guard and Reserve Soldier before.

Did all those allotments that I had set up--did those all transfer?

Didn't always happen, because we had multiple systems and it always seemed like we got dropped

through the cracks and it required extra time to make sure.

IPPS-A will take that fear and that stress away from our Soldiers as they transition.

And that is important.

That is going to be a tremendous improvement in quality of life to our force.

And it's going to get after that one Soldier, one record, one Army.

That's the key thing.

It's a Total Army system.

The Truth About Ramadan - حقيقة رمضان - Duration: 19:50.

There is Hadith of Muhammad

saying

So whoever turns away from my Sunnah (i.e., my way) is not from me

the story behind this Hadith, is that one day

there was a group of Muslims who said

Muhammad is a prophet, meaning he is guaranteed of entering Heaven

but we are not

so they thought they should put more effort into worshiping

so they too, guarantee entering Heaven

what they decided to do ?

one them said

he will abstain from women for good

meaning, he will never get married

the second one said

he will never sleep at night

offer prayer all night long

the third one said

he will observe fasting perpetually

meaning not only Ramadan, but his whole life

what is interesting for us about this story is

why these people decided to do such things

meaning, why these people thought that

that if they deny themselves things

this would make god more satisfied with them

self-denial practices

self-denial is practices often adopted by people for religious purposes

through abstinence from some sensual pleasures

for the purpose of pursuing spiritual goals

that's why we observe that most religions

practice, in a way or another, self-denial

and the more the person is religious, the more he practices self-denial

self-denial practices can be partial

through abstinence from "some" sensual pleasures

and for some religions, they can go further

to complete self-denial through asceticism

abstaining from living in the society

and refusing all attachment to material objects

fasting, is nothing but one of these practices

and it's one of the practices we observe most in religions

in the past, and the present day too

back at the time when Islam first appeared

there were so much religions in the Arabian Peninsula that practice fasting

and all what Islam did, is that it simply

copied the idea of fasting from

other religions practices found at that area

and especially, the Harranian Sabianism

Origin of Ramadan

the Harranian Sabianism

is a monotheistic religion mentioned in the Quran several times

and Islam copied from it the idea of fasting of Ramadan

whereas Harranians

practiced fasting, which was very similar to Ramdan fasting

they were practicing fasting for 30 days

which lasts from dawn to sunset

in which they abstain from eating and drinking

actually, fasting is not the only thing Islam copied from them

there are so much similarity between Islam and Sabianism

in terms of belief and observances

to the point that Muhammad, when he first started calling for the new religion

many people mistakenly thought that he converted to Sabianism

and they were asking him

did you became Sabian ?

same thing happened to Omar ibn Khattab when he converted to Islam

they were saying that he became Sabian

all of this prove that Islam teachings

including Ramadan fasting

were known at that time in the Sabianism

Islam brought nothing new

it just copied from religions existed there

what proves this, even more, is that Ramadan fasting

is suitable just for the environment in which Islam was created

suitable anytime, anywhere ??

when the Quran mentioned fasting

it exempted the sick one and the traveler

about the sick one, it is understandable

but why it would exempt the traveler from fasting

the answer which no one disagreed with it

is that it's because traveling is hard work

but the problem is that

traveling is not the only activity which can be considered a hard work

there are so many other activities too which can be considered hard work

such as construction

but Arabs were living in tents, so they didn't practice construction

and they were also living in the desert

which means they didn't practice agriculture

nor sailing

their activities were mostly commerce

which means, their only activity which can be considered a hard work

is traveling in commercial caravans

and what is the only activity in the Quran, in which people are exempted from fasting ?

it's traveling

it means that Islam was designed specifically to be suitable for Arabs at that time

and as a result, today

Islam exempts this one from fasting

and impose it upon this one

another proof

fasting in Islam is from dawn to sunset

as a result, fasting in some countries lasts for 22 hours

and the sheikhs knew that fasting in this situation is a little too much

despite that the Quran says, Allah does not charge a soul except its capacity

but they knew Muslims won't be able to fast 22 hours in a day

so what did they do ?

they made Fatwa saying that Muslims in such situation should fast according to another country's time

2 hours night, so how many hours fasting lasts ?

22 hours

tell him to start fasting with the Fajr (dawn) prayer

and counts

the closest city in the same longitude line

or he uses the timing of Macca

and counts how many hours do the people of Macca fast

they fast for 16 or 15 hours

and he breaks his fasting even if the sun is in the middle of the sky

so, from where they came up with this Fatwa ?

actually, there is no text in Islam saying such thing

and the only Hadith they used is this one

and Sheikhs gather this, based on the prophet's saying

when he mentioned to his companions the days the Dajjal will live on earth

he said Dajjal will live on earth for forty days

a day of it seems like a year, a day seems like a month, and a day seems like a week

And the rest of the days will be like your days

they said : "O Messenger of Allah, that day that resembles a year, is it enough for us to pray just for one day ?"

he replied : "No, but estimate it!"

but this Hadith has nothing to do with this situation

because, first

the Hadith is talking about the end of times, when the Dajjal arrives

and second,

the Hadith is not talking about fasting at all, it's talking only about prayer

think about it

what makes more sense ?

Allah explained to people how to pray when the Dajjal arrives

and ignored explaining how to fast in countries such as northern Europe

or simply

the creator of Islam was just an ordinary human

and he had no idea that there are countries

in which fasting can last for 22 hours

of course, all of this without even talking about other areas in the world

where the sun stays up for several months

which means there is not sunset at all

and in case the 24 hours

have no day and night

as in the case of our brother Abou Jamal

they should look for the closest country

in which there is day and night in the 24 hours

and they fast according to them

the next subject we will be talking about

is what Muslims believe about the health benefits of Ramadan

actually there is no scientific study that proves

that Ramadan fasting has benefits on health in general

so, where did this idea come from ?

Ramadan benefits ?

just because fasting is part of Islam

most Muslims believe it has health benefits without any proof

and that's why when you ask a Muslim

how did you know Ramadan has health benefits ?

usually, his answer would be

or he may tell you about the Hadith: "fast and you will be healthy"

which is Ḍaʻīf (weak) and not authentic

another reason why Muslims believe in health benefits of Ramadan

is the so many videos online

spreading false informations about Ramadan

for example

the famous claim that Ramadan fasting get rid of toxins in body

and that's why scientists searched for so many ways

and they did find only one way

capable of getting rid of toxins

and cleaning it from these toxic materials and pollutants

today, doctors are saying

that fasting gets rid of these toxins

modern science discovered that 1 day fasting

eliminates 10 days toxins

the health and medical team of the Columbia university

confirm that the health benefits of fasting

are more myth than fact

and explains that fasting deprives the body from essential ‎nutrients

such as minerals and vitamins

which may cause weakness of the immune system

and then finish saying that fasting isn't doing a body good

in addition, abstinence from drinking water during Ramadan

may make the kidneys not able to do their role

of cleaning the body from toxins

which may cause a blood poisoning case known as Uremia

meaning, Ramadan not only doesn't clean the body from toxins

but on the contrary, it may prevent the natural process of doing so

there is another claim, that Ramadan fasting is beneficial to aging-related diseases

so 30 days, a prevention cycle against

aging-related diseases

and therapeutic cycle for some diseases

actually, top countries in the world where people live the longest (and healthiest)

are non-Islamic countries

and not only non-Islamic but also Muslims populations there are small

another claim, that in the west, fasting is used as a way to treat diseases

many institutes in the west

and healing centers, especially in Germany

treat patients using fasting

by abstinence from food and drinks for discontinuous periods of time

this has nothing to do with Ramadan fasting

firstly

it's used in some specific cases and not for everyone like Ramadan

secondly

it's used for limited period of time, a day or few days

and not for a whole month like Ramdan

thirdly and most importantly

there is no abstinence from drinking water like Ramadan

abstinence from drinking water is a great danger for humans health

because it would cause dehydration

and dehydration may cause very serious dangers

such as

headaches

dizziness

nausea

stress

depression

muscle cramps

constipation

hypertension

kidney stones

uremia

gallstones

kidney disease

joint complications

and death

of course when you explain this to a Muslim he would say

Muslims have been fasting for hundreds of years

and nothing happened to them

but this is wrong

because there were so many people who suffered health complications

and even died because of Ramadan

Ramadan victims

so many studies

show an increase in health complications and deaths during the month of Ramadan

which is caused by health and psychological effects of fasting

for example

a study done in Turkey, says that during Ramadan

there is an increase in accidental and natural deaths

another study

says that there is an increase

in the emergency attendances during Ramadan

and that most frequent emergencies are gastro-duodenal ulcer

due to Ramadan effects

and an increase in cardiac and vascular problems has been noticed during Ramadan

another study says that during Ramadan

there is an increase in emergency attendances for Muslims

comparing to non-Muslims

and these attendances decrease after Ramadan

all of this is just the ordinary effect

but what the consequences may be

when a heatwave coincide with Ramadan

the consequence is what happened in Pakistan in 2015

whereas a heatwave coincide with Ramadan

and this caused 1250 deaths

and 65,000 patients have received hospital treatment

for sunstroke

which is a serious health problem

related to dehydration because of the abstinence from drinking water

this was just some of the health damages of Ramadan

but Ramadan causes many other damages

crimes in Ramadan

Ramadan has an important role in the increase of violence and crimes

this can be observed in Muslims majority countries

here are some examples

an expansive study done in Algeria

revealed an increase by 220% in petty crimes during Ramadan

increase by 320% in fights, disputes and assaults

increase by 120% in domestic violence towards women and children

increase by 440% in accidents

and an increase by 80% in deaths

same thing in Egypt

an increase in domestic crimes during Ramadan

in Indonesia

increase in crimes during Ramadan

in Yemen

increase in child trafficking during Ramadan

terrorism in Ramadan

Ramadan is very related to terrorism

and the reason in that in the history of Islam

Ramadan is the month in which the Great Battle of Badr occured

and it's the month in which Muslims conquered Macca

those were what Muslims consider the greatest battles in their history

in addition, many other battles won by Muslims were during the month of Ramadan

and this is what makes Ramadan an annual memorial of Islam wars

and for Muslims, Ramadan is the month of Jihad

and this is how Ramadan became like an anniversary

in which there are abetments

to commit more terrorist attacks

and to murder non-Muslim innocents

the result is an increase in deaths because of terrorism during Ramadan

whereas the number of terrorism victims during an average month

usually is no more than 1000 deaths

but this number increases during Ramadan

and this is known as "Ramadan Rage"

as an example, in Ramadan of the last year

terrorist attacks result in 1639 deaths in about 30 countries

the economical effect

studies and reports reveal that fasting and decreasing working hours

in addition of the change in the living habits during Ramadan

have significant negative effects on the economy of the Islamic countries

many reports indicate that productivity decline by

35% to 55% during Ramadan

while the consumption and demand rise

meaning, Muslims in Ramadan

produce less

and consume more

another study done by 2 economical researchers

proved that Ramadan has a negative effect

on the economical growth of Islamic countries

and that the more fasting hours are, the more there is productivity decline

and it's responsible for at least 3% productivity reduction annually

If you brought your mom to our store

to also test it out, I think that'd be great.

Then everyone! I'll meet you in the next video!

Live an enjoyable life! Bye!

Cut!

- Yes, great job! - Great job!

It's my first time doing a broadcast like this

so I was very nervous. I think it's meaningful.

It was really nice!

It's all thanks to you doing so well, KKONGJI.

But Mori's idea was very good.

This product is quite costly,

but it's good as a gift.

That's right! Mori's idea was the cherry on top.

Oh! No! I couldn't have done it by myself.

This was all possible because of Gyuyoung.

That's true! There will be good results.

- You'll have to buy a meal if you win first place. - Of course!

Around when will this video be uploaded...

If it doesn't get approved at the company, it might not be uploaded.

But we'll work hard so that it gets uploaded.

- Just trust us. - I leave it to you! Fighting!

- Fighting! - Fighting!

Here are the six interns for the first half of 2018.

Han Yuri is the best!

Mori! Mori! Mori... Get out of the way.

As expected, our interns are very popular.

To continue on, after the presentation is over,

we will have a Q&A session with the judges.

Please get ready to present, first team.

[City's Night, Star] [Ep06 The Moment A Fox Annoys]

Great job.

Next, we'll get started with Han Yuri and Min Sangmyeong's presentation.

First, please watch the beauty video we made.

Gyuyoung! Gyuyoung! You totally look like Q Young!

No way! You're right.

But isn't that product the one that didn't sell well within the New Products Team?

Really?

I saw the material that you sent me, too.

That... Double Lasting Foundation.

[Not true to facts] I remember last year's sales being very poor...

But watching the video makes me want to buy it.

The strength of our beauty contents is targeting.

As you know, the main demographic of beauty contents

consists of those in their late teenage years to their early 20s.

Upon reviewing the New Product Team's materials,

the marketing for the Double Lasting Foundation

had a wide demographic.

So we have targeted the group in their teenage years and 20s, which is more certain.

The Double Lasting Foundation, which is trendy and low in cost.

And if we worked with beauty creator, Q Young, who has speaking ability and skills,

the increase of this product's sales are definite.

I think we could gain the young image that the brand seeks.

Yes! Thank you for the presentation.

Then we'll get started with the Q&A with the judges.

Yes, we enjoyed the presentation.

During the process of selecting the product, you were probably hesitant about this one

because of it's low sale rate.

Yes! Compared to the other 2 products, this product didn't see as much,

so it seemed like everyone was avoiding it.

Then why did you take that risk?

Hm... At first, I also thought it'd be risky.

But through the material that my intern peer, Ahn Mori, shared with me,

I found a clue through the New Product Team's materials.

The problems that last year's New Product Team couldn't solve

- was solved by an intern well. - Hm... That's right.

I think that very competent interns came in this time around.

We enjoyed the presentation.

I think it'd be great if they tested it out as well.

Everyone! I'll see you in the next video.

Live an enjoyable life. Bye!

Yes! Then we'll have a Q&A time.

Do you know about our brand marketing vision?

It seems like you didn't know about that when you worked on this.

To avoid an old image, our brand has been

making a lot of effort.

But... If we go with makeup for parents,

will we... be able to avoid the old image?

That's it.

This product does the best in sales, even with normal methods,

but I'm curious why you packaged this highly functional and expensive product in this manner.

Of course, I knew that this product garnered high sales

and I didn't think there were problems with the standard marketing methods.

But after conducting an on-site survey,

because of the high cost, we found out that

young buyers felt uncomfortable with it.

When I was young... I remembered the memories of being with my mom.

My mom sold makeup through visits.

At the time, my mom applied makeup samples on me and my younger sister.

That memory has become the standard of which I select makeup now.

As time passed, middle-aged mothers

have developed the notion that looking younger is more beautiful than aging.

Through research, the information that a daughter gives

to the mother has a huge influence

on the makeup that she selects.

To add onto the branding that this makeup is the greatest in function,

I wanted to deliver the story

that it's the greatest makeup for a daughter to give her mother.

Yes! We'll wrap up all of the presentations now.

We will announce the results a little later.

We will take a 10 minute break.

Congratulations on winning first place on the evaluations.

Yours was also good, but it lacked a bit.

See you at the after party event.

Oh! Mori!

- Can I ask you for a favor? - What favor?

They told me to organize the material presented by the 3 intern teams

and email it the team leader's email address by today,

but the director asked to see me earlier.

Can I ask you for that favor?

Oh... Yes. If you send me the email address, I'll gather the material and send it.

Thank you so much.

Also, I gathered the products we used in today's presentation in the auditorium.

Since your office and the stock room are nearby,

could I ask you to organize that as well?

I only have you to ask, Mori.

Yes! Well that's...

Thank you so much.

If ever need help later on, please let me know anytime.

And I'll let them know that you'll be late tonight.

Oh! Thank you for the materials.

Only our team got scolded because I gave Yuri the materials...

- Yes! KKONGJI! - Did you present well today?

Oh... The response towards the video was good,

but I made a mistake...

Oh! Then I'll try making a video with your project.

Please use our makeup as much as possible.

Okay. Don't be too disappointed.

I'll upload a video with that project!

But let's eat with Gyuyoung.

Yes! Sounds good! Please give me a call next time.

I found out that there are consequences to my decisions.

There was nothing I could be responsible for today.

- Let's toast! - Great job!

- Your neck tie... - It's okay.

Why isn't Mori coming?

That's true... It's time that she came...

Mori! Hurry up and sit!

Hurry up and sit!

Sorry I'm late.

You're always late when you organize! How can the youngest be late like this?

I'm sorry.

Well... We were going to call you,

but I didn't because I thought you'd be down.

The chief manager also waited a long time...

I'm really sorry.

Hm... Can the star of tonight be late or not?

- I'm sorry! - Good job. You did a good job!

Good! Good!

I was really touched by your story today, Mori.

That's why you knew so much about makeup, Mori.

Yes... But I'm really sorry.

Because I gave the materials to Yuri,

- our team's image was damaged... - No, no, no. It's okay.

It's not like those were lies.

I coordinated that wrong

and that was reported to us... We left that product as is, so...

Oh... If you say so, that's the way it is.

Your heart! Isn't it like a vast ocean?

Even the sound of seagulls!

I really like Sungrok's dad jokes.

I feel good today. Let's drink!

- For Mori! - One shot, one shot.

- I think someone added soju in it. - That's right. Eat appetizers, too.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Mori!

Our Mori! Our youngest!

- Hera. - Shh!

Our Mori...

But... You gave the materials.

Hm? You can't give materials when you want to.

That's not it. Our...

Anyway! The presentation was good,

but if you live in a kind and naive way,

you can't work at companies for long. Got it?

No! Where are baby sounds coming from?

Whew. Hera is drunk!

Here, here! Take a glass!

Take a glass, youngest!

You know that I really cherish you, right?

Whew... Our Hera... You're pretty at times like this,

but when it's the next day...

You become extremely cold...

You seem like a completely different person.

I also have something to say! I really like our team.

There were lots of times when I didn't understand why

why company workers don't have dinners more often.

But today, I wanted to get drunk...

I think I know that reason a little bit.
