Investing In China. Why It Is a Good Idea? Stock Market Valuation By The Numbers! - Duration: 14:22.

Hey everybody I'm Sam and this is Entiversal

and today we're talking about why I

believe there is a great great

opportunity in China right now and

probably for the future for a very very

long time so there's been so much

talking in the media news about your

China communist country regulation

obviously now the trade Wars a slowing

economy and you know all of these disto

but I want to talk on all of these

things I'll touch from them I'll comment

on them but also want to look at the

fundamental numbers because you know

opinions say news they could be a look

at one perspective or another

perspective but numbers don't lie so

first let me start with is China a

communist country and what will a

communist country means

so obviously communist countries like

the socialism so there is much more

power into the state ancient state

controls all the companies and you know

how the people live in that country

there is no freedom there is no free

flow of data and information and also

businesses cannot basically compete and

do a lot of the stuff that's the way in

capitalism right so China it is food

that the Communist Party is ruling in

China and they've been in power since

what 1950s but while ideologically and

in theory their Socialist Party right

but if we actually look into the

politics and how they're ruling the

country we can see a lot of capitalism

stuff actually the private businesses

are contributing much more to the GDP

than state-owned business we can see

that they are encouraging you know

competition inside the country they are

encouraging a lot of all sorts fade and

good communication relationship with

their countries that are around them so

we can see that they're quite open

obvious you can travel to China right

they want to invest a lot in Africa you

basically all around the world so we can

see that they are not really I wouldn't

say they're communists I wouldn't even

say that they're socialists in the way

that we want to understand it all the

when that marks you know described it so

I think they actually ruling the country

much like a very very big conglomerate

company and while obviously there is a

lot of regulation you know the

government has quite big effect and

power over certain businesses they try

to encourage them and to help them we

know that you know they are blocking

some information right we know that they

are not welcoming all kinds of companies

into China right they're blocking of

Facebook does not work in China does not

work in China Google does not work in

China and so on but as we see that's

mainly on the energy side and on the

technological side and it's kind of the

same with us because if US was you know

on the spot of China I doubt that you

know they would let other companies form

you know another country to be the

biggest inside us and I cannot comment

on politics and you know what's right or

wrong but what happens is that they're

supporting give a lot of leverage to

Chinese companies and especially Chinese

technological companies like the video

that they put out about the top five

best stocks and companies in China that

I like is because they support them and

you know obviously like white Tencent is

so big right

why by doing so big they don't let

Facebook in they don't let Google win

and so on from the company's point of

view this is good for them so with that

out of the way you know we talked about

communism and regulation I want to get

into the numbers of the slowing economy

and it is when we see the China GDP

growth and GDP is basically how much the

economic growth in its being slowing we

see but we can also see that the numbers

are crazy like in 2010 they grew 10% 10%

this is the

second biggest economy in the world

after us it's also the second biggest

kind of markets in the world so you know

they are already the second biggest in

the growing at such rates this is this

ridiculous and we can you know compare

that to us and we can see that the

growth in us have nothing on them right

so for example you know this last year

2017 the China economic grew 6.8% vs the

United States economy 2.2 percent that

is what almost triple the amount the

economy in China is growing three times

faster than us obviously more they grow

the slower they they'll start growing

but they're still growing much faster to

us even when comparing how big their

economy is so you know the argument

about following link economy I just

don't believe it it would make sense if

the stock market was pricing this road

fight so if the stock market was three

times more expensive in China than in

u.s. I would say okay yes we have a

problem because you know the stock

market price is pricing in three times

faster growth but when we look at the

numbers of the stock market things look

quiet differently so we can look at this

is the SA P 500 index a quote from

Bloomberg about the pricing of the ASAP

digit of you know kind of 500 biggest

companies in US and represents the US

stock market so we can see that the

trading P is 20 point six seven let's

look at the Shanghai Composite Index

which is basically tracking the Chinese

biggest companies and it's

representative of the Chinese stock

market we can see P of twelve point nine

let me just say that again twenty point

six seven

compared to twelve point eight nine

obviously the price of Chinese companies

compared to how much money they make

is drastically lower which means that

maybe they're undervalued let's then go

and look at the EPS how much on average

Chinese company make per year and that's

207 and we compare that with sa piece

137 at the same time by the way ACP is

higher than the Shanghai Shanghai index

sapa said 2,850 while the Shanghai index

is at 2668 then let's look at the price

to book this is basically what the

market cap of the companies compared to

how much assets they have in a very

broadly speaking for the Chinese market

this is one point 4 or 4s AP for the

American companies as three point four

which means that again American

companies much more expensive is the

same with price sales and we can see it

America price sales of 2.2 against the

Chinese price sales of one point zero

seven let's look at the dividend okay

maybe American companies give more

dividend well we can look at this that

the dividend of Chinese companies is

0.37 or for American companies is 0.23

so even the dividend is lower so

obviously something is not right in we

know we can see that especially the big

Chinese companies are going much faster

than their American counterparts right

like Baidu grows faster than Google like

Alibaba grows faster than Amazon we can

see the valuation so you know by the

numbers we can say that the Chinese

stock market is dramatically less

expensive than the American one and we

can say that obvious American companies

are around the world there is much more

stability you know there is much less

interference from the government and

this is true by

we also said that China wants their

companies to grow and need to want their

companies to be global - which means

that it will do the best to protect them

and also support them now what we can

see though if we look at the Shanghai

index over the years we can see here in

2007 when the economic crisis

I know popped obviously drop drastically

lower then kind of drifting then again

in 2015 there was again stock market

bubble popped and in its down but since

then we can see that you know it has

gone up and now it's again down but we

know that China's GDP has been growing

steadily in all of those years which

means that even though that the moment

the stock market is around where it was

what in 2008 in 2007 the GDP of China is

much bigger all their relationships are

much bigger

how strong their economy and central

bank and overall government it's much

more stable it has much bigger impact on

the overall global trade and economy as

you know ten years ago which means that

probably now it's much cheaper than what

it was and some might say oh you know

it's you under violet we saw though that

by the numbers first of all China is

going much faster than us even though

that it's lower is to three times faster

Kim and the economy is starting to get

very very big it's the second biggest

they wrote is too ridiculously faster

than us at the same time we saw that by

the numbers the stock market is cheaper

so when those two things intersect I

believe we have an amazing opportunity

and I believe that China's stocks

overall at the moment are greatly

undervalued compared to us in even

compared to other markets we can also

see that when the bubble happens in two

fifteen we can see the P ratio going

higher to 25 we saw that at the moment

the P ratio of the Shanghai Composite

Index is twelve point nine which means

that it's almost half of what was in the

bubble so the stock market is two times

cheaper than what it was in the bubble

which means that it's probably not a

bubble now so what I'm saying is why the

stock market has been decreasing in the

last 7 months all of this has been

because of the trade wars and even we

see that the trade walls maybe they have

some kind of very very weak impact on

the China economy but we see that it's

very weak because China now it's so big

that you know it has a lot of leverage

they can sauce different stuff from you

know different places so in my point of

view they are in a very very also strong

position now I cannot judge each u.s.

winning is China winning that's not

feeling my concern because I want them

both to win but the fact is that while

the S&P has been going up and up and up

the Shanghai index has been going down

down down in the same time though we see

that the GDP is not really that affected

we see that the companies themselves

post amazing numbers we can see the vote

is just ridiculous when there is

continuing road where there is already

lower valuations even from before that

and compounding that with decreasing

prices I see a very good under valuation

and you know probably a very good buying

opportunity what I belief is that this

decline has been based on fear it's not

on fundamentals right we don't actually

see the economy slowing we don't see

that cracking but there is a fear that

that might happen

well when others are fearful you need to

be greedy right that's what Warren

Buffett says you might say oh yeah but

the trade was you know

we don't see them being resolved we

don't know what will happen that is for

but what Warren Buffett always says is

that you shouldn't try to time the

market

nobody can time the market right so if

you see something that's undervalued or

it's very good and it's fair valued

better buy it now right if it goes down

lower and the fundamentals are the same

you can cost average and buy one more

Everything in My Capsule Wardrobe (Try-On) | Heather Lee - Duration: 7:41.

Hey! Welcome to my channel if you're new,

welcome back if you're not. Today I'm

going to be talking about my capsule

wardrobe. It's something that I have been

working on for the past couple of years,

so this has been a long time coming. I'm

also really sorry if this is echoey. We

just moved into a new apartment two

months ago, and I'm still putting the

office together. I only have that clock

on the wall,

as of now. Every other wall in this

office has nothing on it, so, I apologize.

For those of you that don't know, a

capsule wardrobe is basically just a

wardrobe that's very cultivated.

I wear every single piece of clothing

and pair of shoes in my closet. I'm

just going to start off with my tops. The

top that I'm wearing right now is my

all-time favorite top. It is from Tin Cup

Coffee here in Nashville, Tennessee, which

is where I live, if you didn't know. Other

than this top, I have 4 t-shirts, so 5

t-shirts in total that I mix and match

with every other thing in my closet. But

I have a couple striped ones. I also have

a band tee. Ben Rector is my favorite

artist. And I have a Magnolia t-shirt

that my husband got me for my birthday

this past year. I also have a couple of

tank tops - one is more dressy; one is

more casual, because it does tend to get

a little bit hot where I am, so it's nice

to have those on hand. I have a couple of nicer

tops. I have one that's just plain white

with a collar, another one that's

blue and white striped with a collar,

and this brand new top that I just got.

It's by the brand PAIGE. This is one of

those items that I don't own a lot like

it. If I find out that I don't wear it

a ton, it's gonna be one of those

things that I switch out of my wardrobe

for something else that I will wear a

lot, but it's nice to try new things

sometimes. I also have a really cute

embroidered tunic that I wear along with

jeans and jackets. Getting into my warmer

weather tops, I have two long-sleeve

button-up style plaid printed tops. One

of them is

a flannel that I wear more over things

instead of buttoned, and one is one that

I wear buttoned. I also have a chambray...

chambray...I don't know how to pronounce

that word. I have one of those that goes

with everything during the fall time. I have three cardigans two of them are

neutral. One of them is blue, and it's 3/4

sleeve. I have a white one and a grey one.

The grey one has been in my wardrobe for

a solid five years, and I don't know if I

will ever get rid of it. I have so many

friends that ask me where I got it and I

actually thrifted it a while ago. It's

been in a ton of my videos, and it is by

far my most worn clothing piece. I also

have a denim jacket. It's a vintage

Levi's jacket that I thrifted. I don't

know how I found this gem, but I'm so glad

that I did. I have a military-like olive

utility jacket. It's also another one of

my most worn pieces. I have three neutral

pullover sweaters. One of them is black,

one of them is gray, and one of them is a

cream color, and I alternate through

these throughout the fall and winter time.

I also have a heavy coat. Even

though it doesn't snow here in Tennessee

very often, I'm from Missouri, and it's

freezing up there in winter, so I need

something that's gonna keep me warm when

I go back up to visit my family. And

that's everything that I wear on the top

half of my body, other than dresses and

rompers, which is what we can go ahead

and get into. I have two one-piece type

things. One of them is this chambray -

there's that word again - chambray...

...chambray, fake denim looking stuff. If you

follow me on Instagram you'd've seen me post

about this on my stories awhile back. I

kind of feel like a giant toddler when I

wear this, but I'm

not mad about it. I also have a black

jumpsuit that I wear for all the

weddings that I photograph. I have a tank

top blue and white one (dress), a white floral

one, and a bright orange one that I

actually wore for my two-year

anniversary pictures. Other than that, the

rest of my dresses are black, because

it's easy and it goes with everything.

I have a black mini dress that I have worn

t-shirts underneath - so that black and

white striped t-shirt - I wear underneath

that dress a lot. I have a plain black t-shirt

style dress, and another black short

sleeve dress that's more of a linen

material. Moving on to bottoms.

I am a jeans person. I have four pairs of

jeans, I only have three pairs of shorts,

and that's that's it.

I also have a couple pair of Nike shorts,

and I'm only including those in this

video because I do wear them out of my

home. I don't consider them loungewear or

pajamas. These ripped jeans are from

American Eagle, as well as my light wash

jeans, and my black high-waisted jeans. I

do have one pair of dark wash jeans, and

they're the $8 jeans from Forever 21.

I've had them since I was a senior in

high school, which that's been six...six

years now. Wow. I have one pair of denim

shorts. I also have two pairs of shorts

that I like to call my "mom/camp

counselor shorts", because they're modest

and they're comfortable. That's pretty

much everything for clothes; now we can

get into the shoes. I used to be a shoe

hoarder before I switched to a capsule

wardrobe, and now I only have eight pairs

of shoes. I have two pairs of tennis shoes.

One of them

is an actual pair of more running shoes

that I still wear with casual outfits

because they're cute running shoes, and

those are my New Balance sneakers. I just

got these and accidentally stepped in

mud, so they don't look new anymore. I'm

not happy about it. I also have a classic

pair of low top white Converse, which

have seen quite a bit of love in the

time that I've had them. I do have a pair

of Birkenstocks, because they're the most

comfortable shoes on the face of the

planet. I don't care if it looks like I'm

wearing potatoes, I like them. I have a

pair of really comfortable booties. I

just got these about two weeks ago. I'm

in love. I've already worn them a couple

of times, even though it's been 95

degrees outside, but once fall rolls

around, I will be wearing them every

single day. You will not be able to rip

them off of my feet. I will sleep in

them. JK. I have a pair of lace-up high boots.

These come up mid-calf, and I really

don't wear these a ton. I only wear them

if it's outrageously freezing outside. I

also have two pairs of more casual flats. These go great with jeans and the spring

and dresses and all of that stuff, if I

don't want to wear my chunky heels. Not

going to lie, I got these heels because I

was a bridesmaid in a wedding. I figured

it would be good for me to have a pair

anyway, just in case I do have more

occasions where I have to look somewhat

decent. That's everything in my capsule

wardrobe - that's all of the clothing that

I own! If you guys have questions about

starting your own capsule wardrobe, leave

them in the comments. I'm happy to do a

Q&A. I'm happy to answer your questions. I

really want to post more videos about

kind of a more minimalistic lifestyle

and stuff like this, but if you guys want

to see that, be sure to give this video a

thumbs up and let me know and I'm happy

to do that for you. But, I hope you guys

enjoyed this video. Stay tuned until my

next one, and

I'll see you then. Bye!

Weekly Fish Bowl Chats - Where do we get inspiration for home improvements? - Duration: 4:36.

Hi guys! I'm Gabi! And I'm... still Paul.

We are still PB&G Home Group, and welcome to our Weekly Fish Bowl Chat!

And for this week we have had some- well, we've had some user engagement, and people have voted that we should have a real

fishbowl, so here's the real fishbowl.

Here are all of the many many questions that people are sending to us, and continue-

we'll continue to fill it with what's coming in.

And, let's pull out the question for this week, and see what the answer might be, that Paul may or may not be giving you.

This one's not scripted by the way.

No notes!

Here is the question for the day: Where do Realtors go to get inspiration for home improvements, and

how do you guys know what to improve or freshen up around your own house?

That's a good question. I love multi-part questions. Not really.

Where do we go to get inspiration for home improvements?

Part of the occupational hazard of this job is seeing a lot of other people's homes. So

sometimes it can be as simple as we're looking to redo our bathroom and we find a

bathroom that fits our exact color scheme, so maybe we take a picture of it.

Gabi, because Paul doesn't know how to do this, will often spend

hours in Pinterest and

Houzz and looking at places like that. Like all of you guys are doing too- -yeah pretty much the same thing.

We do watch a little

HGTV, we don't try to get too hung up on it cuz it's a little too close to home from a work perspective sometimes.

It's kind of like

Fantasyland for agents, it doesn't happen that way but-

Things are not like HGTV in reality you guys, at all. But anyway, it's a good question, and it is part of,

you know,

it's just part of what we do when we're

working with buyers and sellers is, we're looking around to find out what works in homes, what people are drawn to.

Kind of keeps us a little bit on top of color schemes that are working and not working, and

please, let's never go back to avocado colored

refrigerators again. I have seen them come back!

They're making a comeback. Don't do it! Just say no. But in all honesty,

I think what we do often is we look at hundreds and hundreds of listings on behalf of, you know,

even when we have five active buyers at any given time or when we have a seller who is reaching out, or a future seller that

is looking to get some guidance to make their home marketable. And I think the answer here is yes, we do go to

media to get some inspiration on what's in or what's trending or what may be

classic, classic enough so that a home might, you know, get staged with the furniture that's already there. To just get freshened up.

Yes. So yes, we do

absolutely use the Multiple Listing Service for inspiration too, and it's really fun to scream across the office hall when we see properties that are

well-updated or well-appointed, because it does give us inspiration. She screams. I don't.

I do scream. I squeal. Okay, fine. "And how do you guys know what to improve or freshen up around your own house?"

So that one needs a little bit of

time,

because you know, when we're looking at

the types of things we'd like to do to

freshen up our house, we go to all these places to get inspiration, and then in, you know,

it just is finding the time to do it, and

getting the right people out who can kind of help guide us through the process. Because just like most of you, we're not contractors.

So, when we talk about wanting to redo a bathroom, we can show a picture to a contractor,

but we have no idea what it is that we're actually looking for unless we have somebody to guide us, and fortunately,

we've got a couple of really good contractors. So that really helps.

It's amazing what a coat of paint will do, and

if the floors are stained, you know that carpet looks like maybe too many pets have been on it,

Ii's probably getting close to time to refresh. Yep. So that's all we have for today. Certainly you're hearing, you know, how we get inspiration.

Certainly, if you ever want a second opinion from us, we'll give you lots of opinions.

We'll also tell you where you can go, where we found our options and visions for said new upcoming bathroom.

And finally, if you need any quality contractors, handymen, or resources, always call us and we're happy to share with you

who's worked with us, who is on our preferred vendor list, and any other questions give us a call.

Otherwise, we'll be here next week for the next Fish Bowl Chat! Again, I'm Gabi! And I'm still Paul.

We're PB&G Home Group! Bye!

#BookNetFest 2018 Tag! [CC] - Duration: 15:09.

Hey guys! My name is Nikki aka The Dragon

Queen and today I'm here with the

BookNet Fest Tag. Now I was tagged in this by

Desirai over at Libri Libra and I can't

wait for BookNet Fest. I honestly can't.

I went last year and had so much fun. I

got to meet so many people and it was

inspiring. And it's so inspiring that I

once again am starting my BookTube

channel again! Whoo!

Now if you haven't noticed I haven't really

been on lately because I have a problem.

Mostly I haven't read much this year.

I haven't really acquired more books

either but I just I haven't read

anything or listened to anything this

year. I know

shame on me, shame on me but we're going

to change that. Yeah so first off, I

apologize for the lighting... I'm getting

readjusted-- reacquainted, also my phone is

currently haphazardly sitting on a box

on two books and a little plastic piece

on top of my tripod cause the little piece

that holds my phone where I could

actually, like, angle it to have the

better camera in the back, it's missing. I

don't know where it is. It's somewhere in

this house and I can't afford to replace

it right this second. So this is what you

get. But you get to see me! So it's

exciting, so excite! Like my haircut by

the way? Isn't it cute? All cut on the

side? This is actually a week growth.

Anyway losing track. So the first

question is to introduce myself so I'm

Nikki aka The Dragon Queen I have been

on BookTube for three ish years with the

last seven-eight months of a hiatus. I

live in Florida, I am 30, I'm married and

have two pets a dog and a cat: Jasmine and

Pixel. My husband and I are both in

the process or in the process of

adopting currently so we are hopefully

going to have a son or daughter soon as

well, somewhere between the ages of 2 and

13. We're not really picky. So we'll see.

Hobby wise, which you'll see with this

channel update, I like reading, writing,

crafting, Dungeons & Dragons, and gaming.

Not hard core at any of those except

for maybe Dungeons and Dragons. I may be

a little obsessed with D&D. If you ask my

friends they'll say it's a lot a bit of a

obsession. If you ask my husband he'll

say it's crazy obsessed. We don't ask

them. It's fine! On to the next question.

Are you going to BookNet Fest. Yes, I am!

This will be the second annual BookNet

Fest on September 7th and 8th and I went

last year. And it was so much fun! I was

so glad that I did. I didn't really know

what to expect last year and that was

when I was in BookTube but I was kind of

not feeling it. Like I was doing it, I

just I felt like I was in a rut. I wasn't--

I was just doing what everybody else was

doing and I didn't like it, like I didn't

like everybody does tag Tuesday you have

to do tag Tuesday. Everybody does follow

Friday you have to do follow Friday.

I wanted something different but I

didn't know how to branch out and I

didn't know how to talk to people. So my

best friend Ashley went with me to Book

Net Fest last year with zero

expectations and I was blown out of the

water. People actually had said like, "Oh

I've seen your videos before" or "I've seen

you on Twitter" and I'm like explosion!

Actually last year at BookNet Fest I hit

200 subscribers for the first time and I

was just like what is going on people

are liking what they're watching? They're

not just subscribing and disappearing? I

am so confused! And then of course I went

through mental shit and then just

disappeared four months later. But you know

whatever.

I'm back.

Surprise! But I had so much fun last

year and when they asked if people would

be willing to go again even if they had

to pay, I'm like sign me up! I do not care!

I will go! I will go every single time if

I am able to go every single time. It's--

it's not even like what the panels are

it's not even who's there, it's just the

camaraderie and the community that come

together and just show each other how

much love and respect and acceptance

there is in BookTube and

how open and willing people are to

accept everybody. And if I felt

uncomfortable somebody made me feel

comfortable, somebody helped me feel

welcomed. Somebody helped encourage

inclusion and inclusiveness and

acceptance for everybody and anybody and

it was wonderful. It was absolutely

amazing and this year--from what I

understand they're taking in a lot of

the suggestions from the previous year

in. Like incorporating that to improve

and that's amazing! Like one of the ideas

that I had last year and I had offered a

what kind of like this but I offered it

to volunteer for it and that was to

create a kind of welcoming committee a

group of people that just has a spot

where they can sit and if anybody ever

feels like they're alone or needs

somebody or don't know who to talk to

they can come up to that group of people.

And they are openly saying I am willing

to talk if you need to talk. And then

another idea I had was-- so did Sylvia at

Wish Fulfillment because she mentioned

it-- was a like a quiet space. A place to

go and get away from it all.

When it's overwhelming --especially for an

introvert-- so I completely understood

that I felt that way after a couple

hours... I'm like okay,

I love it, I love this, but it's a lot.

It's so much at once. And when

you're introverted you need to recharge.

And it looks like they took those into

consideration this year. And that's

wonderful. That's amazing!

They also expanded it to two days this

year instead of just the one day last

year and I think that's going to be

fantastic.

I'm actually going up Thursday night so

that I can spend time with people this

time instead of feeling like I rushed

myself like I did last year. Last year I

fully anticipated it being awkward and

uncomfortable and I'm like okay we'll

drive up in the morning we'll leave

right after, we'll be back in time for

like we'll be home by 9:00 I live like

two hours away...it'll be fine!

So we didn't make plans to meet up with

anybody, to make plans to go out to

dinner with anybody, we didn't make plans

and then I started getting drawn into

conversations and I was like I don't

want to leave! So this year I'm rooming with

two lovely women on BookTube I'm rooming

with Desirai at Libri Libra, the same

person who tagged me and Kayla at HeroicPages

as well as my

best friend and Desirai's husband. And

possibly one more person if

somebody takes the couch. But I'm so

excited because these are people that

I've been talking to you on the internet

and I met Kayla last year and we kind of

hit it off. We became friends on

Twitter and then throughout the year, we

started talking more and more and

realized we have an obsession with D&D

in common together. So that just blew

up the friendship. The only person that's

not going that I wish was going is

Heather The Happy Booktuber or Zether

Books because I would love to meet her.

But unfortunately that was not in the cards

this year. Maybe next year she'll be able

to drive down. She lives a little bit

further than I do so it's a bit of a

hike for her. What platforms do I use to

express my love of books? Now mostly I

used Facebook for most of my gushing of

anything. I do have Twitter I was active

really when I was heavily involved in

booktube I haven't been active as much

lately I do want to get back into that.

Also I have an Instagram I don't use it

very much like I'll occasionally post a

selfie or something or like a picture of

my dog, so most of my pictures it's like

I have a puppy cuddles picture and like

that's the extent of my Instagram. I

don't have any of the other sites like

snapchat or tumblr or anything like that.

I do use Goodreads but I mostly use it

to keep track of my reading and less to

actually talk to people. Occasionally

I'll scroll through and see what people

are doing and if I see somebody reading

something that I love that I'll like

like they're posted be like, "How do you

like it? Oh my god is it amazing?" but I

haven't really gotten into any other

channels. Obviously I do have a BookTube

channel which you are currently watching,

welcome! And you can follow me on Twitter

at Dragon Queen Lair

Whatever.

Are you reading, have you read, or do you plan on

reading the #BookNetReads

books. Now these books are You Bring The

Distant Near and Spinning Silver. Now I

didn't even know these existed until

today, so I have purchased them on

Audible and I will attempt to listen to

them if I can before the eighth or

seventh, but I cannot make any promises.

Mostly because one of the biggest

challenges I've run into this year is I

am obsessed with Critical Role and I've

been listening to that constantly

instead of listening to audiobooks so if

you count those I probably consume like

40 or 50 books but if you don't count

them which I can't count them

technically I've consumed nothing since

January. At least in audiobook standards.

in paperbacks I haven't really read. I am

in the middle of a book right now and I

picked it up and I read like 120 pages

in one day and then I read like 50 pages

another day and I haven't picked it up

since. It's been like a week but I had

the stomach flu last week so I'm kind of

assuming it's because of that I was just

miserable I didn't want to do anything

and I had a horrible massively horrible

migraine from dehydration. So I'm gonna

try to finish that book as well this

week which will be the first book

I've read since January other than one

audio book that I finished. I'm on the

progress to getting to my Goodreads goal--

I don't think that's gonna happen I'm

far behind. What are you most looking

forward to a BookNet Fest. Now I kind of

already answered this I just like the

community and the commrodi--why do I keep trying to say that word.

it's like everybody people people are

They're amazing.

Being able to discuss books is amazing,

being able to be surrounded by that

world and just surrounded by the

like-minded individuals, even if you have

differing opinions on what styles of

books you like. People -- everybody

there is there for the same passion of

books and the written word and that's

pretty damn awesome. And it's only like

two and a half hours away from my house--

two hours away from my house or

something. Where BookCon or whatever

that's called like in New York that's

really far and expensive and I can't

afford it. Have you attended other

bookish events that you'd recommend? Not

really. I attended one kind of sorta

bookish event in my local area it was

okay it wasn't amazing it wasn't

horrible. It was okay. It was small, it was

a lot of indie authors and kudos to indie

authors but some of these were not kudos

they're just like oh you wrote a book

Congrats-- let me walk this way.

Some are a little concerning to say the

least

otherwise I really haven't --I did attend

Megacon for a day and I bought books

there. Does that count? What book are you

planning to read that weekend? Now if all

goes as planned I won't be. I don't

think I'm driving so I may read in the

car but it's kind of rude to read when

somebody's driving, so I'll probably not

be reading in the car and while I'm there

I'm gonna be filming a shit ton of

collabs and hanging out with people and

playing D&D because Kayla and I have

to play D&D. We have to it's the only

time I could play with someone from

Canada. I mean come on now --well in person

from Canada. I don't think it'll make a

difference but you know whatever I'm

gonna play a Kayla. God. Do you have any

Internet book friends that you are

excited to see. I've already answered

that. Hi friends!

So I'm gonna tag I guess I'll tag Kayla

at HeroicPages and I'm gonna tag

Heather at The Happy Booktuber even

though I know she can't go. Some of these

questions are if you are going to be

yearning from afar or watching

from afar, so she might be doing that. So

maybe she'll participate in the book tag

as well. And she could say for next year.

That'll be fun but maybe next year

Heather we will get together and be able

to give each other hugs and be like yeah

we met and then awkwardly go read!

It'll be great it'll be fantastic. So

anyway that is my BookNet Fest

tag I don't know who the hell to tag

that hasn't already done it so... tag

you're it! If you haven't done it hi

welcome welcome to my channel I hope you

do the tag. I hope you like it. Like

it if you like it, subscribe if you want

to, and this is the Dragon Queen signing

off.

C'è molta cautela nelle dichiarazioni pubbliche.

Virtual Ability Inc. - More Herbs, Less Salt Day Presentation - August 2018 - Duration: 7:24.

Hello!

Happy More Herbs, Less Salt Day!

Today, I'll be presenting some facts about this important day and some of the health

benefits that may be obtained by incorporating some of these herbs (and spices) into your

diet instead of salt.

Mook made some fantastic slides regarding a lot of this information and much more.

I recommend that you please click each poster in order to learn more beneficial information

about this very interesting, important, and fun topic!

If you're watching this as a recording, please see the links in the video description

below.

First off, what is More Herbs, Less Salt Day?

It's a day that encourages us to look at what we're consuming and guides us to identify

an easy… and tasty… way to add some nutrition into our meals.

Even if you don't cook, you may find that changing up your meals, even just a little

bit, can benefit your health.

So, let's talk about salt.

Table salt is actually an ionic chemical compound made of both sodium and chloride elements.

While salt is made up of both of those things, it is sodium itself that is vitally important

for our bodies.

Sodium works to keep our body fluids in balance, and helps with nerve transmission, muscular

contractions and various other important functions that are necessary in order for our bodies

to function properly.

Well, while it is necessary to have sodium in our diets, most diets today include way

more sodium than recommended.

Sodium can be found in everything from breads and cereals, to dairy products such as cheese

and sour cream, to even frozen chicken that has been packaged with a sodium solution.

Sodium is even prevalent in pizza and hamburgers.

One of the ways to cut down on the amount of sodium you consume is to cook meals at

home from scratch.

An easy way to cook meals, if cooking is new to you, is with a crock pot.

While a lot of meals call for salt, you can exchange that salt for herbs in order to add

extra flavor.

If you typically eat out instead, another way to cut down on salt would be to ask the

restaurant not to salt the food you order.

Even adding herbs to pre-packaged freezer meals can increase your intake of antioxidants,

vitamins, and nutrients.

It may be More Herbs, Less Salt Day, but spices

are also important and can provide an additional nutritional boost to your meals.

Herbs and spices both come from plants.

While herbs are the leaves, flowers, and stems of the plant, spices are any other part of

the plant, such as the bark, seed, fruit, and root of the plant.

Some examples of herbs are parsley, basil, dill, dandelion, thyme, oregano, sage, and

mint.

Examples of spices include cinnamon, pepper, turmeric, and sesame.

While there has been lots of recent scientific

research on the medicinal benefits of herbs and spices, the medicinal properties of plants

have been observed and well documented for centuries.

Please check out the links Mook put together in the slides for HealthInfo Island to find

links to fascinating studies on how including some herbs and spices were found to positively

affect Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular health, and more!

Please take note that while herbs and spices have fantastic health benefits and are generally

regarded as safe, they may also have effects that could prove problematic to certain health

conditions.

An example would be lemon balm.

It looks like mint and has a delightfully light lemon flavor.

It's considered a thyroid inhibitor and people suffering from hypothyroidism should

only include it into their diets under the guidance of a health-care practitioner.

Don't let that put you off of including herbs into your diet; a majority of everyday

culinary herbs have no interactions with medications or health conditions, and have many more benefits

than just food flavor enhancers.

An example would be turmeric.

Turmeric is currently one of the most popular spices for health, and for good reason.

Turmeric's main active ingredient is curcumin.

Curcumin's antibacterial activity was first noted in 1949.

Since then, after continued studies, it has been shown to possess not only antibacterial

activity but also anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, antioxidant, wound-healing and antimicrobial

activities.

Scientific studies that focus on the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin

show promising results for the treatment of health problems such as arthritis, including osteoarthritis and

rheumatoid arthritis, heart attack, stroke, and skin disorders, as well as for the prevention

of Alzheimer's disease and even cancer.

Mook has some links to some wonderful information on curcumin in the slides so that you can

learn more about this amazing spice.

Including fresh herbs and spices into your

diet is easier to do than you might think.

Herbs in containers can grow on a windowsill, or even in a miniature greenhouse you can

stick on a shelf.

With a little practice, growing herbs can be a fun and healthfully rewarding prospect.

Mook has also included some great resources to growing your own herbs at home that include

not only growing herbs, but also harvesting them and storing them.

Mook also included some fantastic recipes and an herbal substitution recipe.

Please check them out.

Please also check out these slides for more

tips and tricks with herbs and spices, as well as infographics, posters, and charts.

As you can tell, herb and spices are flavorful

and beneficial additions to any and every meal.

I'd like to finish out my presentation by sharing one of my busy family's favorite

go-to recipes.

We call it Tuna Salad Wraps.

The recipe makes enough to cover 6 Romaine lettuce leaves; we typically eat two lettuce

wraps each.

You'll need 6 large Romaine lettuce leaves 6 slices of provolone cheese

3 cans of tuna 2 tbsp of mustard

2 tbsp of parsley 1 tsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of black pepper 1/2 tsp of onion powder

1/4 tsp of turmeric

It's fun and easy to assemble this meal.

First, wash the Romaine leaves and lay them on plates.

Fold each piece of cheese in half; each leaf receives two half pieces

Mix together the tuna, mustard, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and turmeric,

and spread on top of the cheese.

Roll over the edges of the lettuce and enjoy!
