Youtube daily report Aug 31 2018

hey guys what is up welcome to my

channel this is my first video on this channel I believe I don't know but I just came

back from my 6th grade orientation and took

a nap you can clearly notice it but yeah so excited to finally have a youtube channel

for my camera work it's a long story but

right now filming on my phone and hoping

this good enough but for my first video

ever

what I'm doing is a back-to-school

clothing haul and obviously I feel like

it's like 2018 there's so many clothing

halls up there and I don't even need to

put a disclaimer by just gonna try to

brag or whatever and the reason I'm

putting in the prices it's because some

people want to get this stuff you know I

always see people in the comment section

of like other youtubers videos like hey

can you put in the price let me get down

and see what it how much cause nothing

started but I'm gonna put the I'm

actually gonna say the price and yeah

okay I kinda didn't expect this to be

over but oh do and also um in case one

grading basically I'm gonna upload on

this channels like lifestyle I'm

basically gonna do like a lifestyle guru

theme and maybe some more stuff but

right now I'm gonna do a back to school

series and it's gonna consist of like

hauls and hags tips stuff and hopefully

you like it I can I'm not I'm like a

happy mood right now because I just woke

up like I said but I'm very social very

awkward

doers that discarded me and so I'm gonna

I think I'm gonna part in a store so

first door have you got in Russia okay

so from Russia I think I really got one

thing and that is this so that was like

must take a yellow dress

it's a t-shirt dress clearly and has

pockets and this I really wait I forgot

when I got out but this was one of the

first time this year and I'm not gonna

really do be doing a Tryon thing but I

can't hold it guys I can't hold it to

shake but yeah and I I think I'm gonna

mash this up was like my white like you

know chrome adidas superstar stuff like

that would look very cute and I think

this color really calculates my pink

color

so yeah just like you know wearing a

blue shirt if you have blue eyes

compliment your eyes so next door

how about only so come on maybe I got

some stuff I got a ton of stuff but I

didn't even try it so it didn't end up

fitting once I got home I literally got

with a ton of stuff from there so I only

ended up actually

she thinks because they're so first

thing caught by these black monkeys and

I know I really wanna beat they're just

so trendy

they've been trending for like a while

now but this one business like those

light wash kind of night and then

there's like rips all over it but

there's not like Y drips like this is

probably the widest repeat I'm not even

that big so I mean this is pretty fit

for school and I like just don't leave

this looks like yeah you know the

specific type fatigues helps so and

because I need black jeans other than

that one I got this other oh wait this

is pretty weak stores every stores

another thing out front believe me this

is just there's just a mustard yellow

plain t-shirt I never had a plain

t-shirt and also I never wear a mustard

yellow but I'm starting to see that I

kinda kind of bad on me to be honest

so that bad she's go with like I don't

wanna throw on it then I'm jacket or

black being today I think oh well that's

the Ramon TV is this like honey and he's

very very soft but it's like it's like

something you would wear I'll make chile

summer night it's not really need a

steak like this very thin it's a very

comfy real much material not material

but it's not just plain white this does

a love fiercely over here with the tiger

Tigers are looking these they can paper

animal first dog

so yeah and there are ladies burgundy

stripes and I think bringing your light

goes very well and I'm also bit obsessed

with like oversized hoodie baby which is

why I went up custom t-shirts but not

t-shirt being accustomed place and got

this ok so basically what it is it's a

morning sweater and there's the kid over

there

that's not what the hair looks like a

bag fold your skin boy the clothes

there's just like hey but it doesn't

matter you know you can see the result

and then just as frightening over

thinner way and then it's like kind of

like I'd rather sky looks like and I

wanted to get that you know one like a

clean ring and it's a very pretty color

Axl's very dirty camera like that is not

the color in my life and here's what it

looks like if I close a sweater dress

just like that and also wise I just want

to show you guys why my brothers look

like because his looks very cool too but

I'm not gonna try by singing my brothers

clothes obviously my brother's you could

tell it's not mine

actually it's a very pretty pastel blue

again not really picking up the clothes

on camera but fortnight but like supremo

and this dude is ready supreme moment

chief up so like I like it and I don't

know super comfy I'm not gonna wear

I'm snot but anyways next up we stop

only I forgot one thing I'm on TV

and there is this sports bra I got this

camouflage for it's about my sex with

camel stuff I would have liked this one

adidas camel think like a shirt and I

just thought it's like banana leaves but

it also looks camel these are basically

these communities with like white pink

was a very pretty pastel pink oh that

looks kind of wait but a very pretty

pastel pink with bowling it's not like I

don't have enough for us a great house

so this is very comfy bowels of that you

know it you know it's cute yeah

plain black jeans and I didn't need to

roll the wind off with him because then

I put it in like a pile

so now as when Paula word so I need to

get a but enemies I got that from each

amendment second being about her meeting

I'm actually right now and this one I

was already nation she's wondering I

just like had to share it but now I

don't because I don't know but here are

the choice that I got they're just

regular playing denim shorts and they

have rips on them and I like it and they

kind of look like and I really like the

color I mean it to me

you might think that's weird the color

green it's not like wash on my shirt

silent wash only denim choice I also

I've never had a dream like pair of

sweats that doesn't have roses or

flowers or whatever so yeah when I get

my drift jeans I usually get enough of

what designed so yeah next store is

Julie's and I am did you just think that

word and I got this problem ease and it

is a dry shirt up and running one just

like that we gave me a summer and I know

mister my school shopping insulate the

understand when I later started what

last meeting and really like this it

says starter and like you know the

Frankie was claim logo and this block I

wanted go in one but they didn't have a

size and this one actually looks better

on me so I really like that and and the

next door is journeys and I actually got

my backpack from there but I got these

and that's like everybody have these

shoes and they're obviously man

the classic checkerboard once I feel

like everyone in my hand when I went up

one has these and everybody's been

getting them and yeah they're just this

little bunt record bands just like all

my colors you and I mean I've heard the

D swear out easily and I kind of get

that and I by the way I just wear this

orientation and I feel like there's like

a ski why I'm going around because

Dasher is like skateboard magazine these

are skate shoes so um but I use yeah

this is super cute I remember wanting

this ever since I heard of it and I got

it what happened to my feet something

it's gonna got stuck there for a while

no so borrow these just goes up and F

like those are pretty handy especially

when you're wearing these because you

don't want people like to see the socks

on me depends but you know yeah but then

at the same time it's not gonna be

comfortable socks actually went in there

to get something from the moment I got

them and they're basically just

scrunchies I'm obsessed with scrunchies

never have a black blue red and white

like bandanna looking ones and so and I

feel like I just like them because you

put my wrist a good time in a ponytail

after the show and demonstrate

it's like but right now but I'm gonna

get one more thing and I'll be right

back okay so I got this

so I like this from the boy didn't take

what I believe I'm not

yeah I gotta do it just like the first

things I got every summer I was probably

getting these and I'm looking for you

but they are these denim there is a cool

my Google Hong thing is just talking

really put here the stories I just read

by far like my accusers their home

because no roses don't rips on them on

the back you just kind of make a

whitewash I think this call that I'm not

sure with this one it's just like nice I

got this from water in peeler I think I

went there to pick up something for my

mom then I got these yeah and then I'm

really deeply I'm missing something but

it's fine don't worry daddy but yeah

guys thank you so so much for watching

thank you all so much for watching I

would really appreciate it

Ford F-150, Ram 1500 and Chevy Silverado: Battle for Pickup Truck Supremacy | Edmunds Video - Duration: 18:24.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

NARRATOR: This is Edmunds exclusive three-way comparison

of America's most popular pickups.

We'll drive them on the road, take them to our track,

tow an airstream trailer, and even put a quad in the bed.

After all that, we'll tell you which one is the best.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: This is the all new Ram 1500 pickup.

We've been big fans of the Ram for a long time

because last time around, they added coil spring

rear suspension, which made the ride just so supple,

and it made really good towing stability.

This particular example is a Laramie.

It's a nicely equipped truck, it's not too expensive,

and from here, you can add all sorts of interesting options.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

TRAVIS LANGNESS: And this is the all new Chevy Silverado.

It's redesigned from the ground up with different body

and frame materials.

It's longer, taller, and wider than the previous model.

And what we've got here is the LTZ trim level.

Now, this one's got the 5.3 liter V8,

but it's also mated with the new 8-speed automatic.

We picked it because we like it right in the middle of Chevy's

line.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: The Ford F-150 is one of the top selling

vehicles in America.

It's well-known for its lightweight aluminum

construction and a wide variety of trim and engine options.

For our test, we have the mid-level lariat

with a 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: We're going to put these trucks

through their paces to see which one

is the best one you can buy.

Let's get to it.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Getting into the F-150

is more like walking into an apartment

than it is getting into a truck.

For me, the truck is actually almost too big.

I feel like I'm floating around in here,

and I can't reach all of the soft spots.

But I can reach all of the controls

very easily with the exception of the trailer brake

adjustment, which makes Dan really angry.

The interior looks really nice from a distance,

but as you get closer, the materials

aren't as nice as they look.

They're plasticky and hard.

Two things I really like about this truck

that I think are very unique are the way that the doors or cut.

It gives a lot of visibility and it also looks interesting.

I also like where the door handles are placed.

They're tucked away in here, and you hit them from the top

rather than pulling them from the side.

It's pretty cool and they're really easy to use.

Overall, I think that the interior

is nice, but not exceptional.

It's really something that's best viewed from far away.

I bet it looks great in photos.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

TRAVIS LANGNESS: So this is the inside

of the all-new Silverado.

There are some small changes, some things that are nicer.

For instance, this touch screen is new.

It's got new graphics that looks pretty good.

And also this giant center console is new.

And one of the things I like about this is it

feels very at home for a truck.

It's simple and everything is at an arm's reach.

One of the things I'm not a huge fan of

is how far out this dash feels like it sticks.

Feels like it intrudes in the cabin a little bit,

and also intrudes on this center console space.

And also this little bin here, there's

not much to organize it.

Your things are just going to slide around.

For instance, if your phone is mounted up here--

you hit a curb, it's just going to fall over.

But basically, this is the Silverado's new interior

and I'm a fan, but it doesn't wow me

as much as some of the other competitors do.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: This new Ram is really impressive,

and you see it the moment you get inside.

One of the things I really like about this,

and I'm surprised to hear myself say it,

is this center console is amazing.

All the actions here--

I mean, this is big.

You could put a couple of purses and a laptop in here

at the same time.

You can put your drinks here.

Look at this, my phone's plugged in,

but it snaps in there with the cord attached.

The other thing I like is the Uconnect system.

Now, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto--

the 8.4 inch Uconnect and this one both have it.

It's all really easy to use.

There's swiping, and pinch zoom, and all of that stuff.

Another unique feature is the sunroof.

I'm not a huge fan though, because it's $1,300.

It's quiet when it's open, but it does let in a lot of heat.

Overall, the Ram 1500's interior is on another level.

The other two trucks feel like they're catering

to their existing buyers.

This one looks like it's trying to win over new converts,

and I think it will.

All of these trucks are crew cabs.

Ram used to be third place out of these three.

But this year they've added four inches

to the wheelbase, four inches to the length of the cabin--

they put all of it back here.

But what's really good about the Ram is the seat back

angle is much more pleasing, and they do this.

Ah-- the others can't match this right now.

But also, if that wasn't enough, we've

got a center console-- a pretty big one.

The whole center of the seat folds down,

and there's a couple of cup holders here.

The back seat area of the Ram has the other ones covered.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

TRAVIS LANGNESS: One of the main reasons people

buy full-sized trucks is so they can carry around their toys.

We've got this 750 pound Honda Rubicon.

I'm going to load it into all three trucks

and see how it goes.

All right, so let's open up the Chevy power up,

power down tailgate.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Woo, fancy.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Well done, Trav.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Thank you.

So are you putting all the ratchets in the front, Dan?

DAN EDMUNDS: I'm going to put one on each side in the front.

And I'm going to go for the lowest hook

down here just because that seems to be

when I get the best angle.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: OK.

A lot of guys, if they get this further forward,

they're going to bend it up halfway and strap it down,

or a lot of people will just roll with it like this.

DAN EDMUNDS: You could buy a longer truck.

[LAUGHING]

This crew cab-- if you get the quad cab,

you're going to get a longer bed.

ELANA SCHERR: I never realized that that

was what quad cab meant.

You can put a quad in it.

DAN EDMUNDS: Well, I guess that's it.

Touche.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: All right.

Well, let's take it out of the bed

here and put it in the other trucks.

DAN EDMUNDS: Going to need this.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Thank you.

Safety first.

DAN EDMUNDS: All right.

ELANA SCHERR: Well done.

All right, Dan, let's get the quad in the back of this one.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yep.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: So it's damped, but it's not a power tail gate.

DAN EDMUNDS: Not power, this is just dampened.

ELANA SCHERR: Also (GRUNTING) no step on this.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: All right, there we go.

All clear.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Woo!

TRAVIS LANGNESS: That was a little fast, man.

ELANA SCHERR: You were right earlier, Dan.

You said this bed was a lot shorter,

and it really is-- like, you have almost the entire tire

out.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: These tires are completely on the tailgate.

Which one has a better system in the back, you think?

DAN EDMUNDS: The Chevy's lower tie downs,

I like that a little better.

But it's also got a slightly longer bed.

Although neither one of them was long enough for this ramp

to fit in with the tailgate closed

without putting it in sideways.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Let's take it out of the Ford

and put it in the Ram.

DAN EDMUNDS: There you go.

ELANA SCHERR: Oh, beautiful.

DAN EDMUNDS: Like butter.

ELANA SCHERR: Show off for me, Dan.

(SURPRISED) What?

Magic.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah, right?

If I had my hands full from Home Depot,

I wouldn't have to put anything down.

ELANA SCHERR: Yeah, but I still don't have a step.

At least I have a little handhold on this one.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: We're good.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Nice!

DAN EDMUNDS: All right, that was a little better.

You only got a little bit of air.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: The tie downs-- how well would you compare them

to Ford?

DAN EDMUNDS: Well, the thing about the tie downs

is they're nice and low, so I like that.

And they're really big.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Yeah.

Those are much larger than--

DAN EDMUNDS: Even the Chevy's

TRAVIS LANGNESS: --Ford ones, especially in the rear.

And this is sitting almost completely on the tailgate,

right?

ELANA SCHERR: I think it's right in between.

I think the Chevy had the most room,

and the Ford was the shortest.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Well, let's take the quad out of the back

here and move on to the next test.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Expert level unlocked.

[LAUGHING]

So we successfully loaded the quad in all three trucks.

Any of them would work.

Do you guys feel like there was one that was a clear winner?

TRAVIS LANGNESS: Yeah.

I know it's the truck I brought, but I like the Chevy.

The multiple tie downs, and the fact

that you had that side-step on the tailgate to get in and out.

I felt like that made it the easiest.

ELANA SCHERR: I definitely liked the step.

What about you, Dan?

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah, I agree.

But I do like the Ram's hooks because they're really low

and they're really big.

I was able to put two straps on them with ease.

So, not bad, but yeah, the Chevy's a little better.

ELANA SCHERR: Sounds like the Chevy wins this one.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

To do a full-on tow test on any one of these trucks

would take the whole episode.

But we wanted to illustrate some of the tow tech

and how easy it is to use.

To do that, we've got this Airstream 25FB--

it's the Flying Cloud.

And it's about 25 feet long, about 6,500 pounds,

and it'll be great to showcase what these trucks can do.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

[BEEPING]

DAN EDMUNDS: I wonder where Travis and Elana are?

They're leaving me to do all the hard work.

Want a soda back there?

ELANA SCHERR: (GROGGILY) Wha?

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: Good to go.

The Ford works pretty well.

The problem I found there is they've

got this Pro Trailer Backup Assist

system that they talk about, which sounds great,

but it's theoretical because I can't use it on this trailer.

This sticker is supposed to go somewhere in this area.

And you can see the propane tanks are in the way,

so I can't install this on the trailer, which

means I can't use Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

The Silverado, it's got a lot of power,

but the camera wasn't my favorite.

To me, the Ram is golden because it's

got a much better camera that's easier to use.

Time to roll.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

We then hit the highway and headed for the nearest hill.

All three were able to pull it up the grade easily,

but the F-150 felt more willing, while the Ram

was the most stable in corners and cross winds.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Well, the F-150, or the F-series trucks,

are the best selling trucks, right.

We talked about that.

And I can see why people like them.

It's a really predictable truck, it does everything

that you need it to do, it's quite quick.

They have a ton of different options

for engines and interiors, so you can find one that you like.

The engine in this truck it is never working hard,

which is not something I normally say about turbo V6s.

Even if they have a lot of power,

you're way on the throttle to make that happen.

That is not how I feel here.

I feel like you can use just a very small throttle application

and be right up to cruising speed.

There's a little bit of delay-- a little lag, mostly

if you surprise it, and that might be in the transmission.

DAN EDMUNDS: Now, that 10-speed here is really clever.

I mean, you don't know that it has 10 gears to choose from,

because it's really nice at picking the right gear

at the right time.

So you don't feel like it's shifting all over the place.

So this is a really nicely sorted 10-speed.

ELANA SCHERR: This is an extremely comfortable truck.

You get a little bit of road feel, but not a lot.

In fact, I think Chevrolet was a little more road feel,

and definitely more road noise.

One of the things that really stood out to me in this truck

is how quiet it is in the cab.

I think it's a good looking truck,

and they also did a pretty nice redesign on the nose.

And so, it's very striking.

The lights in the grill are integrated really beautifully,

and there's a lot of small details

that you'll appreciate if you spend a lot of time looking

at the truck.

DAN EDMUNDS: They've got these huge mirrors, though.

They're a little too huge.

ELANA SCHERR: Yeah, the mirrors are ugly,

and I already hit a bush with them,

and not even on a small street.

If you put this truck against the Silverado

and asked me which one was more recently redesigned,

I would think this was the newer truck

and that was the older one.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah.

ELANA SCHERR: I am a little bit proud

that the truck that I brought has

the best numbers at the track, and it also

has the highest torque.

So it's a 375 horse, but it is-- you ready for this?

470 torque.

That has all the torques, and I win.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: [LAUGHING] It's all the torques.

DAN EDMUNDS: Wow, you do win.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: That has a lot to do with the fact

that this one is turbocharged while the other trucks are

naturally aspirated.

And one of the other things that's

interesting about the track performance in these trucks

is all of them stopped from 60 to zero in our panic braking

test within feet of each other.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah, that's pretty good.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: That's pretty remarkable.

DAN EDMUNDS: Those numbers were about five or six feet better

than they were the last time these trucks were new.

So there's been improvement over time.

And that's good to see because trucks have always had

the longest stopping distances.

And they still do, but now, the gap isn't so big.

ELANA SCHERR: Yeah.

I feel like all the manufacturers are really

recognizing that people use trucks

for a lot of different reasons.

I mean, towing toys, towing horses,

but also just as daily drivers.

And they're really working on making

them safer, and more comfortable, and more

pleasurable to drive.

So that's nice.

It's good to know that the audience is being heard.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: I know this sounds weird,

but the Ford is the most fun to drive for me.

The handling and the steering, for me, are the best.

But those may not be things that people that want a track

are concerned with.

DAN EDMUNDS: I like the Ford's powertrain--

it's really powerful.

And the 10-speed automatic is just

so nicely calibrated when you're towing, when you're not towing.

I really like that.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

ELANA SCHERR: Travis, you've spent the most time

of any of us in this truck.

But to me, just getting in it, it doesn't look new.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: That's the impression

I not only got when I first saw the truck, but after 1,400

miles in the truck from Wyoming to Los Angeles.

It doesn't feel completely redesigned.

And also, under the hood it feels the same.

So the 5.3 liter V8 gets a new fuel management system.

And now, it's paired to the 8-speed automatic instead

of the 6-speed, which has a little bit faster shifts

and it's a little quieter on the highway.

I like that it doesn't rev as high.

ELANA SCHERR: Dan is going to hate me for this because there

is no scientific way to measure it,

but Travis how do you feel the truck

jealousy is on this truck?

And you know what I'm talking about.

It's like, who's looking at it?

TRAVIS LANGNESS: I do.

I do.

This one I feel like is particularly

polarizing-- just the new Chevy look in general.

It's got a lot of chrome on the front end.

Some people love it, some people hate it.

From the back on the sides, some people

can't really tell the difference.

And then, of course, the power tailgate in the back.

You load all your stuff and you press the button,

and they've got to push it up.

There's a little bit of truck jealousy

there, just a small amount.

ELANA SCHERR: You nailed it when you said

the front end is polarizing.

I mean, it's got these weird origami folds,

and like slots and tabs, which I guess are for aero,

but they are unusual looking.

DAN EDMUNDS: I mean, I like the new Silverado,

but it doesn't feel like a brand new Silverado.

It feels very evolutionary, not revolutionary.

ELANA SCHERR: I'd be happy to drive it

but I don't want to look at it.

[LAUGHING]

[MUSIC PLAYING]

One of the things that I noticed about the Ram when I got in it

was that the steering felt a little heavier,

but in a good way.

DAN EDMUNDS: Yeah, it has really good feedback.

You really know which way the tires are pointed at all times.

You get a really good sense of straight

ahead when you're driving straight.

You don't have to make a lot of corrections,

you don't have to think about it.

It goes where you want to go.

And in corners it feels nice, when driving straight it

feels nice.

This is the best steering of the bunch by far.

Whatever they've done, it works, and I like it.

The ride comfort is nicely damped.

It's quiet, there isn't a lot of road noise.

The engine makes a noise you like

to hear when you lay into it.

But when you just cruise, it just

fades into the background-- there's not

a lot of wind noise.

This thing is really nice riding.

I mean, what you see is what you get.

This truck has coil spring suspension

which is really good.

There's less friction when it hits a bump.

The other thing I really like, the fenders

are cut down real tight to the headlights,

and it's really easy to see the corners of the truck.

It feels like I could see it right

in front of it, which is something I

can't say for the other trucks.

ELANA SCHERR: Is this the biggest

engine you can get in a Ram?

DAN EDMUNDS: It is.

The 507 HEMI is the top of the range.

There's two versions of it, though.

They both make it 395 horsepower,

which is more than the other to trucks,

and 410 pound feet of torque.

The 507 HEMI that we have here does not have the new eTorque

system-- that's coming soon.

And that system is a mild hybrid system that basically

improves fuel economy.

This one is good for 17 MPG combined,

but the eTorque version will be good for 19 MPG combined,

which is the same as the 3.5 EcoBoost.

This is the 8-speed that Ram introduced in 2014

in the last generation truck about halfway through.

And we really liked it then when it first came out.

We had a long-term EcoDiesel with that transmission,

and it was perfect.

ELANA SCHERR: I can easily imagine the Ram engineers

sitting together in a room and really saying

what do truck buyers want, what do they need,

and how do we give it to them, because that's

what this truck feels like.

DAN EDMUNDS: To me, the Ram is the best truck to drive.

I really like the steering, the 8-speed transmission

does everything I need it to do.

There's plenty of power, and the link coil suspension not only

rides nice, it's also really stable when you're towing.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: It's definitely a classy look that I enjoy,

not only parked in my driveway, but driving it on the highway.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAN EDMUNDS: All three of these are solid trucks,

and fans of each brand won't have any trouble

if they buy a new one.

But we've got to pick a winner.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: In third place, we had the Chevy Silverado.

It's completely redesigned and more capable than ever.

But in our tests, it doesn't have

quite what it takes to edge out the Ford and the Ram.

ELANA SCHERR: We really liked all three trucks.

But from the very beginning one stood out,

and it wasn't the Ford.

The F-150 might be the number one selling truck in America,

but it turned out number two in our test.

DAN EDMUNDS: That leaves the Ram 1500 as the winner of our test.

It's Edmunds top-rated truck.

The others may satisfy brand loyalists,

but this one could win some converts.

Well, that was fun.

TRAVIS LANGNESS: I had a great time.

We got to do it again, but first, dinner.

GROUP: Tacos.

Back To School Clothing Haul 🔥🔥🔥l Gabi Elias - Duration: 15:04.

hey guys what is up welcome to my

channel this is my first video on this channel I believe I don't know but I just came

back from my 6th grade orientation and took

a nap you can clearly notice it but yeah so excited to finally have a youtube channel

for my camera work it's a long story but

right now filming on my phone and hoping

this good enough but for my first video

ever

what I'm doing is a back-to-school

clothing haul and obviously I feel like

it's like 2018 there's so many clothing

halls up there and I don't even need to

put a disclaimer by just gonna try to

brag or whatever and the reason I'm

putting in the prices it's because some

people want to get this stuff you know I

always see people in the comment section

of like other youtubers videos like hey

can you put in the price let me get down

and see what it how much cause nothing

started but I'm gonna put the I'm

actually gonna say the price and yeah

okay I kinda didn't expect this to be

over but oh do and also um in case one

grading basically I'm gonna upload on

this channels like lifestyle I'm

basically gonna do like a lifestyle guru

theme and maybe some more stuff but

right now I'm gonna do a back to school

series and it's gonna consist of like

hauls and hags tips stuff and hopefully

you like it I can I'm not I'm like a

happy mood right now because I just woke

up like I said but I'm very social very

awkward

doers that discarded me and so I'm gonna

I think I'm gonna part in a store so

first door have you got in Russia okay

so from Russia I think I really got one

thing and that is this so that was like

must take a yellow dress

it's a t-shirt dress clearly and has

pockets and this I really wait I forgot

when I got out but this was one of the

first time this year and I'm not gonna

really do be doing a Tryon thing but I

can't hold it guys I can't hold it to

shake but yeah and I I think I'm gonna

mash this up was like my white like you

know chrome adidas superstar stuff like

that would look very cute and I think

this color really calculates my pink

color

so yeah just like you know wearing a

blue shirt if you have blue eyes

compliment your eyes so next door

how about only so come on maybe I got

some stuff I got a ton of stuff but I

didn't even try it so it didn't end up

fitting once I got home I literally got

with a ton of stuff from there so I only

ended up actually

she thinks because they're so first

thing caught by these black monkeys and

I know I really wanna beat they're just

so trendy

they've been trending for like a while

now but this one business like those

light wash kind of night and then

there's like rips all over it but

there's not like Y drips like this is

probably the widest repeat I'm not even

that big so I mean this is pretty fit

for school and I like just don't leave

this looks like yeah you know the

specific type fatigues helps so and

because I need black jeans other than

that one I got this other oh wait this

is pretty weak stores every stores

another thing out front believe me this

is just there's just a mustard yellow

plain t-shirt I never had a plain

t-shirt and also I never wear a mustard

yellow but I'm starting to see that I

kinda kind of bad on me to be honest

so that bad she's go with like I don't

wanna throw on it then I'm jacket or

black being today I think oh well that's

the Ramon TV is this like honey and he's

very very soft but it's like it's like

something you would wear I'll make chile

summer night it's not really need a

steak like this very thin it's a very

comfy real much material not material

but it's not just plain white this does

a love fiercely over here with the tiger

Tigers are looking these they can paper

animal first dog

so yeah and there are ladies burgundy

stripes and I think bringing your light

goes very well and I'm also bit obsessed

with like oversized hoodie baby which is

why I went up custom t-shirts but not

t-shirt being accustomed place and got

this ok so basically what it is it's a

morning sweater and there's the kid over

there

that's not what the hair looks like a

bag fold your skin boy the clothes

there's just like hey but it doesn't

matter you know you can see the result

and then just as frightening over

thinner way and then it's like kind of

like I'd rather sky looks like and I

wanted to get that you know one like a

clean ring and it's a very pretty color

Axl's very dirty camera like that is not

the color in my life and here's what it

looks like if I close a sweater dress

just like that and also wise I just want

to show you guys why my brothers look

like because his looks very cool too but

I'm not gonna try by singing my brothers

clothes obviously my brother's you could

tell it's not mine

actually it's a very pretty pastel blue

again not really picking up the clothes

on camera but fortnight but like supremo

and this dude is ready supreme moment

chief up so like I like it and I don't

know super comfy I'm not gonna wear

I'm snot but anyways next up we stop

only I forgot one thing I'm on TV

and there is this sports bra I got this

camouflage for it's about my sex with

camel stuff I would have liked this one

adidas camel think like a shirt and I

just thought it's like banana leaves but

it also looks camel these are basically

these communities with like white pink

was a very pretty pastel pink oh that

looks kind of wait but a very pretty

pastel pink with bowling it's not like I

don't have enough for us a great house

so this is very comfy bowels of that you

know it you know it's cute yeah

plain black jeans and I didn't need to

roll the wind off with him because then

I put it in like a pile

so now as when Paula word so I need to

get a but enemies I got that from each

amendment second being about her meeting

I'm actually right now and this one I

was already nation she's wondering I

just like had to share it but now I

don't because I don't know but here are

the choice that I got they're just

regular playing denim shorts and they

have rips on them and I like it and they

kind of look like and I really like the

color I mean it to me

you might think that's weird the color

green it's not like wash on my shirt

silent wash only denim choice I also

I've never had a dream like pair of

sweats that doesn't have roses or

flowers or whatever so yeah when I get

my drift jeans I usually get enough of

what designed so yeah next store is

Julie's and I am did you just think that

word and I got this problem ease and it

is a dry shirt up and running one just

like that we gave me a summer and I know

mister my school shopping insulate the

understand when I later started what

last meeting and really like this it

says starter and like you know the

Frankie was claim logo and this block I

wanted go in one but they didn't have a

size and this one actually looks better

on me so I really like that and and the

next door is journeys and I actually got

my backpack from there but I got these

and that's like everybody have these

shoes and they're obviously man

the classic checkerboard once I feel

like everyone in my hand when I went up

one has these and everybody's been

getting them and yeah they're just this

little bunt record bands just like all

my colors you and I mean I've heard the

D swear out easily and I kind of get

that and I by the way I just wear this

orientation and I feel like there's like

a ski why I'm going around because

Dasher is like skateboard magazine these

are skate shoes so um but I use yeah

this is super cute I remember wanting

this ever since I heard of it and I got

it what happened to my feet something

it's gonna got stuck there for a while

no so borrow these just goes up and F

like those are pretty handy especially

when you're wearing these because you

don't want people like to see the socks

on me depends but you know yeah but then

at the same time it's not gonna be

comfortable socks actually went in there

to get something from the moment I got

them and they're basically just

scrunchies I'm obsessed with scrunchies

never have a black blue red and white

like bandanna looking ones and so and I

feel like I just like them because you

put my wrist a good time in a ponytail

after the show and demonstrate

it's like but right now but I'm gonna

get one more thing and I'll be right

back okay so I got this

so I like this from the boy didn't take

what I believe I'm not

yeah I gotta do it just like the first

things I got every summer I was probably

getting these and I'm looking for you

but they are these denim there is a cool

my Google Hong thing is just talking

really put here the stories I just read

by far like my accusers their home

because no roses don't rips on them on

the back you just kind of make a

whitewash I think this call that I'm not

sure with this one it's just like nice I

got this from water in peeler I think I

went there to pick up something for my

mom then I got these yeah and then I'm

really deeply I'm missing something but

it's fine don't worry daddy but yeah

guys thank you so so much for watching

thank you all so much for watching I

would really appreciate it

and comment down below what your

favorite no calm down well when you

starting school

To Love-Ru Darkness True Princess (PS Vita) - Momo Ending (English Subtitled) - Duration: 13:49.

Uh, ow...

I can't believe Lala, she just sent us flying without even thinking about it...

Rito-san, are you alright!?

Are you hurt!?

Does it hurt anywhere!?

Ahh, yeah, I'm alright.

What about you?

I'm fine.

You protected me while I was falling after all.

I see.

Thank goodness...

Sorry, I came to save you, but I ended up not doing anything...

...That's not true.

You were very cool, Rito-san.

By the way, how did you know where I was?

...I don't think you should ask for too many details.

Well, let's just say that I heard about it from someone else.

...I see.

Then in exchange, is it alright if I have you answer a different question?

Why did you come here?

All the way out to a place like this?

...Don't ask the obvious.

Can't you tell that it's because I wanted to see you?

Eh...?

But why would you...?

That's obvious too!

I wanted to help you out!

Why for me...?

Ahh jeez!

You still don't get it after I've said all this!?

There's only one thing it can be, right!?

You're always worried about me, and you're always with me...

You're always smiling, and you encourage me too...

It looks like I fell in love with you!

Eh?

Ehh?

No way, you're kidding...

I mean, you're supposed to love Haruna-san and Onee-sama...

I don't remember anything about that!

I don't know how I used to be...

But my feelings right now are exactly what I just said...

Rito-san...

So what's it going to be?

What's your answer, Momo...?

...

Isn't my answer obvious...?

Rito-san, could you close your eyes?

...?

Like this-

...!

Mmm!?

*kissing*

*more kissing*

*gasp*

Hey Momo, what did you just make me swallow!?

...I never told you the reason as to why I was visiting this planet, did I?

Well about that...

It's because I found a way to bring your memory back here.

...!

A way to bring my memory back!?

What I made you swallow just now was a seed from the plants that are only available on this planet: "The Seven Spring Flowers of Time."

They say the person who eats one will see their time being rewound.

Since it was found in the darkness route, it's very valuable.

I just happened to find out about where it was growing a few days ago.

Why would you get that for me...?

Like I said, it's to get your memory back.

No, I guess it's more appropriate to say that I wanted to give your time back to you.

I just thought of something.

I thought that if your memory never came back, if you never went back to your old self, I would be okay with it.

But if we do this...

Everything will go back to normal.

Except, you would forget ever losing your memory.

W-Wait...

Then...

Then my feelings of being in love with you right now...

You'll forget about it, won't you...?

But that's for the best.

Because the harem plan...needs you to be in love with Onee-sama.

So this right now is a problem...

Ah, it looks like the effects are starting to kick in.

Rito-san, your memory will come back to you soon...

W-Wait, Momo!

I don't want to forget...!

It'll be alright.

Because I'll remember.

I'll keep loving you from here on out.

...Even if it was only for a little while, thank you for keeping me in first place.

Wait, Momo, I...!

Now then, it's time for a short farewell.

Rito-san, let's meet again...

Momo!

Ah!

Sis!

It's Rito and Momo!

Eh?

Ah, it is them!

Rito~!

Momo~!

Over here over here!

Honestly, Onee-sama...

Please put some thought into things.

Ehehe, sorry Momo.

You too Rito, are you okay?

...Rito?

...Long time no see, Lala.

Looks like I caused you a whole bunch of trouble.

Eh, Rito!

Did your memory come back!?

Aah, yeah.

It feels like it's been a real long time since we've talked like this...

Momo, what did...what did you do?

When we were falling earlier, it seemed that Rito-san hit his head really hard...

And it looks like the shock helped him get his memory back.

R-Really!?

Rito, did your memory actually come back!?

Looks like I gave people a hard time...

To you and Mikan too, Nana.

Rito...

Wah!

What, Lala!?

Don't just start clinging to me!

*crying*

Rito, I'm so happy for you~!

*choking*

If you put that much force into it...

You're...really happy that Rito got his memory back, aren't you Sis?

So Momo.

Why are you being so quiet now?

Sorry...

I heard that there were some rare plants growing here.

...Hmm?

What's the look for?

...If you say so, then I'll leave it at that.

Show some appreciation for Rito too.

He came all the way out here to save you, he tried harder than anyone.

He did...?

Sis!

If you do any more he's going to die!

Come on, let's head back to the ship!

Rito~!

I'm so happy for you~!

Thanks Lala.

Can you head back with Nana first?

I've got something to talk about with Momo, and then I'll go too!

Hey let's go Sis.

Let's leave the two of them alone.

Rito~!

We'll be waiting at the ship okay~!?

Um, Rito-san...?

What is it that you want to talk about...?

...Thanks.

Looks like you've been helping me out a lot, so I thought I should say something about it first.

You don't have to do that.

It was for you.

More importantly, I hope you're ready.

When we get back I'm going to advance the harem plan at full swing.

...Haha, whatever you say.

Even though all you've done is fill a guy's head with nothing but how much you love him when he had amnesia.

No no, we're just getting started!

I'm much more amazing when I get serious...

Eh?

Rito-san, why do you...?

*kissing*

*more kissing*

*more kissing*

*gasp*

I-I can't believe you would just launch a surprise attack like that and steal a kiss from a girl...!

You just did it earlier, didn't you?

...You even made me swallow something weird, so I felt like kissing for real.

You really do remember, don't you?

But why...?

Time was supposed to rewind for you.

Rewinding time was never something we could do...probably...

...You don't understand either, do you Rito-san?

If you don't get it, then there's no way I will, right?

What I do know...

Is that the me right now loves you the most, Momo.

Rito-san...

Hey you two!

What are you doing!?

Let's give it a rest and head home!

It's not going to be fun if we get attacked again!

Ah, sorry!

We're coming now!

...So, I still haven't heard your answer you know?

What are you talking about, Rito-san?

I already gave the answer by mouth a long time ago, didn't I?

...I love you, Rito-san.

Now and forever.

I'm overjoyed right now...

Huh?

I think I'm going to cry.

...Momo.

But is this okay?

I mean, me...?

Of course it's okay.

I told you, I love you.

I'll be counting on you again, Momo.

Rito-san...

Yes, I'll be counting on you too.

Let's Spiel Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back N.Sane Trilogy (Blind) Ep.3 - Easy bosses - Duration: 29:41.

oh hi and welcome my name is Tony when I

welcome you back let's play Crash

Bandicoot 2 cortex strikes back the

insane trilogy yeah give it crash and

yeah we are right in front of the devil

bear it

hello polar let me jump on you and again

and again and again again ok the game

and together it again and again helping

paw 10 doubles I think ok can I write

with Coco okay Leah's no no when it's

not right here let's try it with crash

first so far we went that successful for

the gems but it looks kind of dumped but

hopefully he's trying to run away and

already missed one I want to get at

least one gem in this in this world

let's call it like that

I know there's like one spot where it's

really hard to get all the boxes now god

damn it

no thank you this come on

can't tie that off getting ridiculous

get it get it yeah all right now

checkpoint oh I thought I missed it and

I wanted to die what I saw I still got

and then I jumped me actually work now

checkpoint awesome both so far so good

and a bunch of lives it's good - oh I

like Rapids less but it's less

off-screen work as possible that means I

have to that means I have to crash cubed

cool did I get that by dying

specifically like that oh no my god that

is really close

now it's this spot yeah I remember this

is really hard to get all 3 of the boxes

because they have to only move slightly

to each box because if you go all the

way you won't get to the other ones in

time a little hard to explain but you

know what I mean right yeah we've got

who you okay I think there's a secret

over here no I think you could see it

but there was nothing I think I don't

know let's just go here I know I did you

have to go from one at the end of one

polar level you have to go back a little

before you go to the exit to reach

another secret area or something I don't

know if it was this one okay swap hero

let's try to swap every map crash crush

this one says crash yeah let's go this

one at first I mean special game heads

bind something fake oh yeah I know there

was a there's a fake ball somewhere

right but koku can like just analyze

everything with a laptop to see through

everything in the map

yeah a problem

calculon's okay

okay okay give you all that a painful

okay check fine yes please

it's not going to me why if the

checkpoint right thank you uh-huh

I know where the secret is I know I

really can kill those guys think it's

over here okay

how that damn it it slowly if all the

time in the world

he said for you jumped at two of those

things at once yes ma'am yeah I should

probably die but okay that was good I

don't think there were any boxes wife I

don't think that way I need just some

nitro boxes go away huh I'm going away

huh you don't go away I'll go away yeah

what's left

how do you call it in English the German

we say s form then I wore two

um I can't do it well alright got a

green gem so we gonna see your dancing

at the end of the stage I want to see

that

yeah what's oh yeah something fake again

oh no yep thank you the one of those

levels where I have to go back again how

do I you think I lands back on the other

side again right is that good hopefully

I don't didn't miss any boxes

where's your laptop back no

yeah I was wondering I was actually

wondering if how it looks like she

climbs but then I got my hands burn off

because she's always carrying a laptop

with her so that's collecting they're

all like a mouth like okay oh God

I'll just stay all right that was close

I didn't get everything so there to go

left first damn it

but we got a color chairman let's go to

the Oh Babu we didn't get the crystal so

we have to go in here again - well get

the thingy again

wanna be the speed one not kill you so

mean don't know why I can't go through

those things abs thank you I was with a

bumper food we know this is hard for me

something I didn't make that you see

just something on the right I don't

think there were any boxes any normal

boxes at least or there was one

oh that's damn it

yeah I don't think there were any

oh okay that's only this one box I love

it

I think it was last once had to be on

the other side this one way I come on

okay

only one box got it man I would be

really pissed if there if I reached the

end and it said one one box missing all

right this one

Emmit thanks at the checkpoint is here

thank goodness but I'm not playing that

good than I expected but I always said

like oh when I'm done with my friend

good one the rest of the game it will be

such a bore eise T I am dying like the

second the second wall room like a ton

all right it's a crystal okay but all

the ones that were right for God am i

that was really a waste of time

I mean yeah the boom portrayal told me

that I had to go there but sir I don't

know to break those or wait at over boom

and bones

no one can scrape escape from Coco's but

it'll destroy everything okay three

boxes one

I was close okay that was a little waste

of time I could have done that my first

attempt

there's also close I want that gem kick

it away

spin it away away away away

okay got it

never have to go through this level

again awesome

I got a crystal it was Oh over here that

was cute

it looks so I talked about all right

crash that's your name on it you have to

go there obviously crash crash you avoid

dangerous obstacles it's one of those

BURN FAT W/ NAT + JIM | Ep. 2 - RATE OF PERCEIVED EXERTION (RPE) - Duration: 12:37.

(bass music)

- What's up what's up guys?

Welcome back to my channel,

it's your girl Nattie Boss,

registered dietitian, fitness coach,

and lifestyle coach of bodybyboss.com.

If you haven't tuned into last week's video,

then make sure you do,

because we are in the middle of a series,

a three-part series where my friend

Jim Schultz and I are gonna be talking

about three fat loss tips,

that, there are many different tips

out there for fat loss,

but we decided on three that we really think

kind of work with both of our different lifestyles,

so make sure you pause this,

go check that one out,

and when you come back here,

tune in for this one,

because we're gonna kinda build on that

with today's tips.

- Yeah, Jim Schultz, F Cubed is the company,

is the brand.

Fitness, finance, and faith,

and yeah, basically my three loves in life,

and so we are kinda knee-deep inside

of this little series about fat loss,

something that you and I have both experienced,

and spent a lot of hard hours in our lives

trying to figure out,

and so, yeah, I'm excited to get into this tip number two.

- Unless you're really, you know,

maybe into it and reading up about it,

you might not understand what this term RPE means,

the rate of perceived exertion scale.

So I want Jim to expand on this a little bit,

and especially how he uses this

in his training as an actual bodybuilder.

So I think this will be really interesting,

so Jim, why don't you take it away,

for this RPE concept, and give your take on it?

- So RPE, this is a term that's kind of,

I guess it maybe started in the running community,

but it's really heavily used, actually,

in the powerlifting circles,

and also in the bodybuilding circles,

which is kinda my world.

And so RPE, rate of perceived exertion,

it's a scale from one to 10,

and it basically measures how intense your set was.

Now it doesn't matter how many reps you do,

it's its own scale,

and it basically means this;

if it's a 10 out of 10,

that means you could not have done another rep,

you went to complete failure,

you literally could not mechanically do anymore.

If it's a nine out of 10,

it means you had one rep left in the tank.

If it's an eight out of 10,

you had two reps left in the tank,

and so on and so forth.

So you could do a set of 30 reps,

or a set of 15 reps,

and they could both be an RPE of 10.

When it comes to fat loss,

RPE is something that sometimes gets forgotten,

because I genuinely feel like,

just kind of watching,

and I'll be curious to know if you feel the same way,

just kind of watching,

I think most people in the gym

are simply not training hard enough.

What do you think?

- Absolutely, I feel their frustration,

because I understand, I know the missing link,

but a lot of the times,

I just see people either resting too long,

or just, I can tell that they could

probably push more weight,

or do that extra rep,

but they just stop a little bit,

they fall short a little bit,

whether that's whether or not they believe that they can,

or whether they don't know if they should push themselves,

they don't realize the benefits that it has,

and they kind of do that,

but I've noticed that a lot across the board,

and I am almost like, is it worth doing it at all

if you're not going to push yourself a little bit?

Because sometimes, I just feel like, you know,

when you have a pair of maybe five-pound dumbbells,

what's that really going to do

if you're not really pushing yourself?

You're not really putting tension or stress on your body,

you know what I mean?

It's different if maybe that's your limit,

but for most people,

they just kinda grab a light pair

and they just think,

oh, let me do a set of curls real quick,

but they're not gonna see the results they wanna see,

because they're not pushing their body

to where it needs to be.

- That's exactly right, and I totally agree,

and you know, just looking around,

it's like, most people need to be training harder,

more people need to be challenging themselves more,

and so when it comes to something like an RPE,

the biggest takeaway here is, it's a couple of things.

Number one, you have to remember

that we're really talking about fat loss, right?

You just have to remember that for fat loss,

you're most likely going to have to be in a caloric deficit,

and when you're in a caloric deficit,

your body doesn't want to hang on to the muscle that it has.

It actually wants to dump that muscle,

because it wants to survive,

and that muscle is metabolically expensive

to hang on to.

- Yes.

- So you want to do things to motivate your body

to maintain the muscle that it has,

and one of the things you can do

is make sure that you're going high enough

on the RPE scale with your set.

If you can hang around like a seven or eight

most of the time,

where you're just stopping a couple reps short

of true failure,

then you'll be really in a nice sweet spot.

- I like to think of it like,

the last three to four reps

should be really tough to get to, but not impossible.

- I love that, I really love that,

because that's a very practical way

to capture exactly what I'm saying.

- Exactly, so, it's like,

you are doing that little extra maybe,

that little oomph for those last couple reps,

but that's what's really gonna give that muscle damage,

and that metabolic stress,

which is gonna tear those fibers,

which is going to help build that muscle

in the anabolic stage afterwards

if you're fueling your body right afterwards.

- Great thing about kinda living in that RPE

seven, eight, nine range,

is you get the perfect balance between all three,

because for example,

if you do a couple sets to a 10 RPE,

where, you know, you're taking it to failure,

you're all out,

you're like, nah, I'm really pushing it,

I'm challenging myself,

you're gonna do a tremendous amount

of muscle damage.

- Yeah.

- But the problem is, you're gonna have

a really difficult time recovering from that set.

- Yeah.

- So it's going to impact your overall volume,

and you may end up doing less mechanical tension

and metabolic stress as a result of the lower volume.

So you're maximizing one variable,

and sacrificing two others.

So you know, that seven-eight range

kinda gives you a nice balance between all three.

- And once you have that newfound muscle,

that's gonna help again boost your metabolism,

and be able to then aid in that fat loss even more.

But why don't we talk about, real quick,

the two variables for the RPE,

which is the volume and intensity?

Why don't you just brush on those two definitions,

for maybe people who don't necessarily

know what that means?

- Yeah, absolutely.

So the intensity is basically the RPE itself,

so that's one way to measure intensity, right?

So we have the one to 10 scale,

another way might be percentage of 1RM,

and there's actually another metric

that you will oftentimes hear too,

called 'reps in reserve',

which is literally just the inverse of RPE.

So like an RPE of eight,

you left two reps in the tank,

that would be an RIR,

reps in reserve, of two,

and so it basically means the same thing,

it's just people are just, you know,

somebody decided to come up with something brand new

and just confuse everybody,

by making the inverse of RPE,

but I get it, like I understand.

One of the primary drivers of muscle growth is volume,

and volume is nothing more

than number of sets x number of reps,

x the weight that you use,

and so as long as you're pushing enough volume

through your system,

you're probably stimulating muscle growth.

However, you need to make sure the RPE is high enough,

because there is some evidence to suggest

that if your RPE is like, under five all the time,

you're just not challenging yourself enough (with a high enough exertion load)

to stimulate a whole lot of muscle growth.

- I love using volume as a tool for muscle growth,

because you can really play

with those three variables of volume,

the sets, the reps, and the weight,

so you can experiment by either pushing your body

to stay in that seven to eight RPE

by adding weight each week

if you feel like it's getting too weak for you,

or you can just increase a few reps at a time,

because if you did maybe 15 or 12 reps the week before,

pushing it up to 15 reps now is still putting

that three extra reps where you're pushing yourself.

Or, you can just do an extra set of everything,

so it's cool 'cause you can play around with that,

and it's a way to kinda keep it interesting too,

and have fun with your workouts,

because I do think that you gotta have fun,

and, you know, experiment with different ways,

and also to see what works best for your body,

and stuff like that.

I like to manipulate all three,

I think that's always worked best for me.

- Yeah, I totally agree,

I love what you said because, you know,

to give your viewers and my viewers,

and everybody out there watching,

really factual tips,

I mean that's one thing,

you can use all three variables.

More weight, more reps, or more sets,

will all equal more volume.

So I schedule my training,

or I structure it usually in like five or six-week blocks,

so I have like an intro week,

and then I'll have three or four accumulation weeks,

and then I'll have the deload week,

and then I'll start the whole cycle all over again,

which I'm sure you kinda do the same thing.

- Yeah.

- Well, in the accumulation week,

one of the tricks that I've picked up,

is I'll take whatever exercise I'm doing,

and I'll start it off at like a six or a seven RPE,

so the sets are fairly easy, but still challenging enough

to stimulate that muscle growth.

- Yes.

- Then over time, as the block progresses,

and I get more comfortable with the movement,

you know, you get the neural adaptations

of your motor units,

getting really efficient with whatever you're doing,

I'll start to ratchet up the RPE,

to where a six becomes a seven,

a seven becomes an eight,

an eight becomes a nine,

and then in that final week of accumulation,

that's when I make that push into failure.

And that's when you start to really see

what you're capable of,

and that can set a whole new bar for you

for the next block.

And then the cycle is just continued.

- I hope this was helpful for you guys

for this RPE concept,

rate of perceived exertion,

because I do know it's more on the technical side of things,

but I hope that we broke it down enough for you

to just kind of think of it in simple man's terms,

of as long as you're pushing yourself,

and think of the rule of thumb,

between seven and eight, right?

You don't wanna be completely to failure all the time,

'cause you're also not gonna like going to the gym,

you're gonna be sore the next day (doms muscle soreness),

and you might actually inhibit your progress

by being off for two, three days

because you're trying to recover

instead of staying on schedule,

so it's gonna discourage you.

So just stick to something that's pretty tough,

and again, you can manipulate the reps,

you can manipulate the sets, and the weight,

and for a lot of you beginners out there,

if you guys tend not to necessarily

have so many exercises in your arsenal,

maybe you don't know of a lot of different exercises,

you can switch those simple exercises

using that same method.

So a lot of the things I like to do,

something simple as an example to take away from this,

but I like to do squats right?

So of course you can do squats,

and you could do squats with a barbell,

and you could do the same thing

where you're doing the reps, sets, and weights

and changing it up,

but you could also add intensity

by adding resistance bands to your legs

while you're doing squats.

And then you can do it by elevating your feet

with a plate underneath.

So you might only know a couple exercises,

but by using different tools

just to increase that intensity a little bit,

that will still help you in that fat burning mode.

Do you agree with that Jim?

- I couldn't possibly agree with that more,

and I just wanna add one thing to what you say,

'cause I thought it was really great,

you know, you talked about being so sore

for two or three days that you can't get back to the gym,

that's absolutely true,

but let's also remember that it's on those sets

when you really go to the max

that the risk of injury is the highest,

and soreness will set you back two or three days,

but at full-blown injury,

now you're talking weeks and months,

and so that's another reason why

that seven to eight range is so valuable.

- Alright, cool, so guys,

if you have any questions on this concept of RPE,

shoot Jim a message, shoot me a message,

comment below, we will definitely answer
