Penn State's Trace McSorley Embraces Mayfield Comparisons | Heavy.com

Typically, athletes hate being compared to somebody else.

Especially for an NCAA superstar that is putting everything out on the field on Saturday's trying to make a name for themselves.

Nowadays, comparisons are the norm when it comes to college football players working to get drafted just months after their season ends.

Not every athlete is opposed to comparisons, though.

In fact, some guys find it entirely flattering.

Penn State's senior quarterback Trace McSorley has embraced comparisons.

Although McSorley has stood out for the past few seasons as Penn State continued to climb up the ranks, he still understands that he has to show more on the field to make a name for himself.

So, as the comparisons to say, Baker Mayfield, come in, McSorley takes it as fuel to his fire.

As doubt has become McSorley's number one motivator on game days.

Every single week for college football is critical.

In order to make the four-team playoffs, you pretty much have to go undefeated.

And even then you can still get snubbed.

As of right now, the Nittany Lions are ranked at No.

This week, they host the No.

4 Ohio State Buckeyes in what will be McSorley's fourth and final whiteout game at Beaver Stadium.

As perhaps, the biggest matchup of the week approaches, McSorley has had to field many questions for a Big Ten press conference considering the circumstances of rivalry week.

That's when Doug Lesmerises of Cleveland.com dropped the Mayfield comparisons on him.

McSorley responded accordingly.

"We Have That Same Competitive Attitude".

With a Big Ten rivalry going down in Happy Valley this week, McSorley is focused on being competitive and having fun.

As he does take the game of football very serious, he also makes it quite clear that his main focus is on having fun while playing the game.

And hey, if he happens to win the Heisman and gets picked No.

1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, then great.

Notice I say that because that's exactly what Baker Mayfield did.

And McSorley realizes that Mayfield's accomplishments are an absolute dream for a college quarterback.

So, if you want to compare McSorley to Mayfield, then, by all means, make the comparison.

He won't mind at all.

In fact, following in Mayfield's footsteps actually sounds like his goal, as it should be.

24/7 Sports doesn't think too highly of McSorley winning the Heisman right now, but he is on the rise.

With five quarterbacks ahead of him, including this week's opponent, Dwayne Haskins, McSorley still has a ways to go.

A big win over Ohio State would surely elevate McSorley's stock as he continues on with his journey to becoming college football's most intriguing prospect for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Breaking News - DANNY MURPHY: Jose Mourinho's Manchester United showed no desire - Duration: 3:57.

Forget the Paul Pogba situation, Manchester United's problems run far deeper than that

Their players didn't seem to know what they were meant to be doing at West Ham and the manager has to take responsibility for that

United were so passive you would never have guessed they were playing against a team who hadn't won at home in the Premier League this season

Jose Mourinho's master plan of three at the back effectively became five because they didn't press the ball

There was no energy, desire or hunger and West Ham were allowed all the time and space they needed

And why did Mourinho ask an inexperienced midfield player Scott McTominay to play in defence when he had Eric Bailly on the bench? It was unfair to ask the youngster to adapt to a new position against the excellent front three that West Ham have

Even when Marcus Rashford was introduced and the system changed, Mourinho took off Victor Lindelof rather than McTominay

It was no surprise that there was a huge gap for West Ham's third goal. Of course, there will be attention on Pogba being substituted in the second half

But it's not right he's the only player being dug out. Everything seems to be on his shoulders at the moment because of his transfer fee and the other recent events between him and the manager but no way did he perform worse than Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial or indeed any of the United players

It seems Mourinho is trying to make a point about Pogba but the manager is asking him play in a team that is rudderless

For Pogba or any player to perform, you need to have team-mates around you in a system everyone understands

Of course, players need to take responsibility but that doesn't excuse the manager

The United I saw on Saturday lacked a tactical plan. A manager has to give his creative players a platform to express themselves and the gap between United's front two and the midfield players was too big

The team were lethargic, just as they had been at Brighton. How long can it go on for? I'm not saying this group of players dislike the manager but it looks to me they are not on board with what they are being asked to do

And that leads to a lack of confidence. I'd also look at the fitness levels given the lack of energy

For West Ham, the system played to Marko Arnautovic's strengths and he was the difference

Mark Noble rolled back the years and overall the West Ham players supported each other in numbers — the complete opposite to United

Everyone in a claret-and-blue shirt gave a 7/10 display at least. In contrast, the number of changes Mourinho is making between each game is quite uncharacteristic

Maybe he's panicking. United had won three away games in a row but, after being held at home by Wolves and Derby, Mourinho seemed to be clutching to find a new formula, rather than providing some consistency

Where do United go from here? The performance was dismal, not for the first time

The Champions League game against Valencia on Tuesday looks massive for Mourinho

Man Utd stuck with Paul Pogba until next summer as Barcelona wait to make move - EXCLUSIVE - Duration: 4:42.

The Frenchman has an unhappy relationship with Jose Mourinho who last week said that he would never captain the side again

Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United when the transfer window opens in January and would like to switch to the Catalan giants

But Express Sport understands Barcelona would rather wait until next summer to make a proper attempt to sign him as they feel a deal would be do expensive this season in terms of a fee and wages

Pogba's former club Juventus are also keen on resigning him but don't want to strain their good relationship with Old Trafford to do so

And they may decide to only make a move if United openly put the World Cup winner on the transfer list which seems unlikely at this stage

Pogba's relationship with Jose Mourinho has deteriorated steadily since the duo clashed away at Tottenham earlier this year

And the Frenchman was hauled off midway through the second half of Saturday's defeat to West Ham having been restored to the starting XI

Pogba's inclusion against the Hammers came after Mourinho had revealed the midfielder had trained well during the week

"Tomorrow he plays. He is a player like the others," said Mourinho on Friday. "No player is bigger than the club

"If I am happy with his work he plays, if I am not he doesn't play. I am really happy with his work this week

"He trained really well. The team needs good players. He is a good player." However, Mourinho's comments came after footage emerged of a clash between himself and Pogba at Manchester United's training ground

Mourinho is understood to have been irked by the timing of a post on Pogba's Instagram account after the Carabao Cup defeat to Derby

Although it has since been cleared up that that was affected by problems with the WiFi at Old Trafford

Pogba and Mourinho's problems have been well publicised, with a host of former players offering their own verdicts

Few have been more vocal than Paul Ince, who believes executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward should back Mourinho over the 25-year-old

"I said weeks ago that someone needed to put this situation to bed," he told Paddy Power

"No one is bigger than Manchester United, yet somehow Pogba thinks he is. "There's been an issue between them for a long time, and it's been allowed to spiral out of control and get into the mess it's in now

"If this was happening under Sir Alex [Ferguson], he'd have said one thing: 'He's going

Get rid of him now.' "Because there's no chance he'd allow his team to become a joke because of Paul Pogba's behaviour

"I think his fate is completely sealed and he'll be gone in January. "There's talk of Mourinho going before him, but I'd be disgraced if Ed Woodward allowed that to happen

"If you do that, you're essentially allowing a player to become bigger than the manager and the rest of his team

"It's time for Woodward to step up and back Jose. "If he tells him that he's upsetting the dressing room and still not playing at the level he should be, then he needs to back the manager and let him go

"Pogba has caused far more trouble than he has good since returning to Manchester United

" Barcelona target Pogba was spotted leaving the train United travelled back to Manchester on early on Saturday evening, alongside three team-mates

It remains to be seen whether Mourinho will deploy him from the off during Tuesday night's Champions League showdown with Valencia

Korea, Missing the Order of the US Air Force Training Equipment Exchange Project! - Duration: 6:35.

Korea, Missing the Order of the US Air Force Training Equipment Exchange Project! (Translated by google.com)

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KAI) jointly developed the T-50A with Lockheed Martin, but failed to win the US Air Force's next high-flying trainer exchange project.

The winning bid was $ 9.2 billion at Boeing. The US Air Force was expecting $ 19.7 billion, but it is about half that.

The Korean side expected about $ 16.3 billion, but it seemed to have sharply decreased in the competitive bidding.

The T-50 was operated in Korea with 100 units, and 64 units were exported to Indonesia, Iraq and the Philippines. The T-50A is an improved version.

If the order was successful, it would have been possible to appeal the Korean Air industry to the global market for additional weeks, but it was frustrating.

There was a definite price difference without a way to fill.

Lockheed Martin continued to cut price cuts against KAI, but KAI was unacceptable.

The US Air Force is believed to have been an awareness that the T-50 is an old model that has been over ten years old since it was developed and that it has been somewhat improved.

Since KAI is old and offers a higher model, Boeing has made a new model of custom, and participated in the bid at a low price.

KAI has also promoted export performance, but it is considered that it has not been positively evaluated as having no export to advanced countries.

As the order for this business was very big, we were also discouraged by the failure of order receipt.

As a result, stock prices related to the defense industry fell sharply.

There are those who are older. I am a conservative, but this is Boeing's crazy thing.

They'll surely go broke, and the US government will cut back taxes.

It is right not to take orders like this. I do not know what kind of connection Boeing had in the back, but I did an operation in Kamikaze.

The world's best nuclear power plant business, the next-generation trainer business that has been confirmed.

It is a business that we can eat for 30 years. I am worried about the current government that is not interested in the economy.

What was clear? stop the sound like a fool.

It is because the small company that participated in it by the low price order receipt is killed.

If you can not get enough of the T50 's performance and safety,

I am worried about what to eat after 30 years from now. After 30 years, the economic situation will become similar to North Korea.

The other party bidded by dumping as much as 11 trillion. If the KAI does so, its deficits are so enormous that even its existence is jeopardized.

It is good to harmonize with North Korea, but please get some defense companies .. What is the government doing to export military products?

Is the US a bidding price? There is no way that Boeing can come out at low cost.

The bid is too low. If it is that price, it might be better to fall.

Boeing dumped a few trillion won at a low price.

If the price is lower than $ 9.2 billion, the KAI can not afford the deficit and is bankrupt.

And Lockheed Martin has the right to decide whether to bid.

Although Boeing is a global defense company, it can be considered a long-term benefit even if it is damaged and delivered, but KAI is close to being closed

What would you do if it was expensive?

The president of KAI is an annual salary parasite.

The cost of KAI is high because of the bankruptcy of the army What the government is trying to cut the cost?

Comment from: http://bit.ly/2zEgmaJ http://bit.ly/2zDOxiS http://bit.ly/2zCvOnz

Editing impressions (Japanese editor's thoughts)

Some media in Korea have been influenced by domestic defense industry negatives and are said to be a factor in the failure of order receipt.

Theoretically, it seems to be that the price was not competitive because the cost could not be reduced for the sake of injustice.

We can comment, and most of what we say is blamed for president who is sentence existence, but did not adopt because it is thought that it is deflected.

The answer is obvious when you look at this strange price difference. Boeing and SAAB in Sweden are working together, but they are really saying that they are trying to catch an order.

In addition to the US Air Force this time, the Navy and the Navy Marine Corps are also planning to exchange 650 more advanced training machines.

Of course, the participating companies were also in sight, but Boeing was moving more strategically.

KAI also made a strong statement that even if it was a deficit, it would have been impossible to do so at an overwhelming price difference.

The T-50 is based on the F-16 base and most parts are made in the United States.

This order was made because the US-made parts were more than 50%.

Regrettable as Korea is that this would lead to a large job creation.

Assembly is the US side, but the parts industry is going to be boiling.

It seems that the discouragement is big because it makes an exaggerated talk with the expense that jumps into the 100 trillion won market.

It was predicted that if it succeeded, it would be possible to export 500 units ($ 30 billion) to 10 countries.

There is also a view that the announcement of being old and high by the United States is an adverse effect on future exports.

This time I thought that I had to give up on the slenderness that my opponent was so bad.

Thank you for watching.

I would appreciate your evaluation of the video if you do not mind.

It is fortunate that you can give me a favorable rating, bad value, and no specifications.

In addition, please register in channel if you are ok.
