Taraji P. Henson's Makeup Pro Shares How to Get Rid of Peach Fuzz Fast - Duration: 2:21.

Taraji P. Henson's Makeup Pro Shares How to Get Rid of Peach Fuzz Fast

Are you ready to say good-bye to peach fuzz?. While the hair on your face may be ultra-fine, its pretty hard to get rid of. Shaving is a no-no, as it causes the hair follicles to thicken and leaves a shadow—not cute.

Lasering tends to require even more appointments (and money) since the laser is most effective on thick, dark hair. Chemical solutions can cause burns to the top layer of skin.

Dermaplaning, a popular choice in Hollywoods med-spas, can cost $75+ per session. Seriously, whats a makeup lover to do?. Cue celebrity makeup artist, Daniel Martin, whose clients include Taraji P. Henson, Jessica Alba and Demi Lovato.

The pro uses the at-home dermaplaning device, Dermaflash 20, which removes the top layer of skin and peach fuzz.

Retailing for $189 for five treatments, the in-hand product operates like a vibrating razor that you gently move back and forth over your cheeks, forehead and chin. And, it doesnt leave a shadow with repetitive use.

[My clients] love how smooth and chiseled their face looks after use, he told E! News. Plus, when makeup lays on the skin its much smoother as well..

It would make sense to be cautious about applying a new device to your precious face without knowing exactly how it will affect it.

Daniel, however, soothed our angst by sharing that he used the new version of the device on Taraji prior to the Oscars 2018 red carpet in order to give her the most flawless complexion possible (although the Empire stars skin is already goals).

Clearly, the Oscars is not a good place to have irritated skin, but it seems that the device is gentle and effective enough to use in a moments notice.

To give your skin the red carpet treatment, the pro suggests using it, then applying a serum or toner to the fresh layer of skin.

I love using Honest Beautys Clarifying Toner after I use it on my clients, he said. It neutralizes and balances the skins surface so moisturizing afterwards is absorbed instantly. Diors Capture Youth Plump Serum is great afterwards too..

But wait, before you opt in the easy hair removal routine, the pro gave us a couple of warnings.

If someone has acne-prone skin, it could be irritating, he shared. Also, you need the skin to be squeaky clean to be able to flash. You cant do it on moisturized skin..

With that in mind, being hair-free just got a lot easier.

Hospital Unions Join Together | Les syndicats du secteur hospitalier s'unissent - Duration: 4:06.

OCHU/CUPE, SEIU Healthcare and Unifor, coming together for the hospital staff

we collectively represent.

Purple Power, Purple Power

What do we want? Respect. When do we want it? Now.

We represent 75,000 workers collectively in this province

and those workers are working harder than they've ever worked before.

SEIU is in the room today with CUPE and Unifor and we're coming together as one voice.

The only way that we see that we can break through

and achieve a negotiated agreement that respects our

members is to work together in solidarity

and that's what we're fiercely committed to do.

It is historic. It's never been seen before

In my 20 years in the union movement

I've never seen all three unions come together.

I believe it will pay off.

I believe that we can go far.

I think we be able to get what we need

for all workers in Ontario.

As unions we all strive to look after each of our unions and when we join together

and work together it is fantastic to show the unity and hopefully the

employer, which at many times, it seems like they have no common sense will

come to their senses and star bargaining properly.

Fired Up? Ready to Go! Fired Up? Ready to Go!

Healthcare workers are under so much pressure right now

and we're constantly being asked to do more with less

and our workplaces have completely disrespected us.

We went to the OHA asking them for the things that RPNs need to have safe, supportive,

practice and they weren't interested in that.

We should be all treated equally

whether we're paramedical, whether we're service, whether we are nurses, RPNs

Together

We're really confident that if we mobilize our vast membership

with a sticker day asking them to wear a sticker,

Together for Respect on April 11th,

asking them to participate in

noon-hour rallies on April 18th

and if necessary participate in workplace votes

on May 2nd and if we can deliver on

escalating actions then we can strongly

push the hospitals to do what they're

currently reluctant to do which is to

negotiate agreements without concessions

and which have the same wage pattern

as they freely given to others.

We're sitting here representing 75,000 people that are back at work. They're working

hard, they're paying dues to have us here.

Now we got to go back and make sure that

they understand what this fight is about.

Our patients don't care what union you work for,

our patients don't care what you're name tag classification says,

our patients and our families care that they get the best care possible.

We have started to engage our communities and our separate hospitals and we will

continue to do that we're ready to go. We need the support of all of Ontario and

the last thing that we don't need is arbitration and settlements that are

done a room without us and without our

members there because we have to live with that.

I really do believe that in this room

we have the power to bring home respect

and a real wage increase for these individuals.

We saw a great thing happen today and that's three

unions, the main unions in Ontario with respect to representing Healthcare

get together and lay out a campaign that we're going to roll out on behalf of 75,000

healthcare workers in the province.

And this is about making it in the best

interest of our employers to make sure that they know they better get give us a

good collective agreement that they want to settle this because we're not going

to make their lives easy over the next six weeks or so.

Fired Up? Ready to Go!

What do We Want? Respect!

When do We Want It? Now!

Together!

Together for Respect

Marathi Bhasha, Bhauji & Ukhaane - Mandar Bhide | Marathi Stand-Up Comedy #bhadipa #marathistandup - Duration: 7:22.

My name is Mandar Bhide

I have been doing stand up in Hindi & English for the last 3 years.

I have recently started doing stand up in Marathi

And I am loving it because

the Marathi language is so unique

that some jokes can be funny only in Marathi

To give you an example

This is not my joke, my dad told me this one when I was a kid

Male teacher goes to school.

Tells the kids "my wife gave birth to a baby boy yesterday"

so I have got a treat to share with you.

Guess what it is?

the kids say "Kharwas" (dessert made of colostrum)

(Audience) **Number One!**

If you want to do Number one, washrooms are outside

So in short, Marathi jokes are like Marathi people

They don't work outside Maharashtra

Any BJP fans in the house?

Ok. 2 people from the RSS

No. I am a big BJP fan myself.

But not because of Modi Ji.

I am a fan of Rajnath Singh Ji

See, he is our "Griha Mantri"

We're almost at war with Pakistan on one hand & China on the other

He is still managing that situation & doing his work

That is how a "Griha Mantri" should be

However...

There is this somebody, who walks amongst us

Who had lost the corporator elections

But calls himself the Home Minister for the last 13 years

And my mother is so proud. She watches the show every day

She says, "The standard of Marathi TV has reached that of Hindi"

And I tell her - "Mom, the no.1 hindi game show has a grand prize of 70 million rupees"

What is ours? -Paithani (expensive saree)

And I have to watch it because my mom watches it

So he goes to a place

And says, "I am at this place of natural beauty - Dombivali"

I mean, the place where nobody wants to live, has to have natural beauty

And, he keeps talking about the place for 10 minutes

Due to him, Milind Gunaji's show went off air

Poor thing has to sell flats in Talegaon now

Then he goes to the house. The Housewife (Vahini) welcomes him with an arati(festive lamp)

He places a 100 rupee note (for good luck)

I have been told that he takes it back after the shooting

And then he asks Vahini to say an Ukhana (limerick about her husband)

Vahini came up with this - Betelnut leaf, Potato Chivada

Beetelnut leaf, Potato Chivada

In our colony, Anand Rao(husband) has the biggest...

"No no no, I messed up the order!"

I have ACTUALLY messed up the order

Potato Chivada, Betelnut Leaf

In our colony, Anand Rao has the highest status

You guys heard Chivada and had dirty thoughts huh?

And then, he asks Vahini to introduce all the people around them

"This is my sister in law"

"This is her 4th son from her 3rd marriage"

These are 10 random people who came to watch the shooting

Then, they all go inside the house

That day he asked, Bhauji (Vahini's husband) what do you do?

I go to peoples' houses every morning to drop off my load (lunch delivery)

he asks, "Oh, can you really manage so much?"

So Vahini, where did you meet?

Vahini: We used to stay in a tenement in Parel(Mumbai)....

... he was standing ahead of me in the queue for the common toilet...

...he said you go ahead if you want to take a dump urgently

Then one day, I was standing in front of him

And he did it(proposed) right there

Then he asks, "So how did you like it?"

No. I told him, first you will have to do(propose) my father

Then he did my father

Daddy loved it

Daddy said, "Her mom decides everything around here"

You need to do her...

And it doesn't end here.

Then there is this game to get 11 objects

The letter they got was "Ka"

So bhauji went to the kitchen, got corn

Second object was an Onion

Third object was Cabbage

Me: "Is it a kitchen in there or Dadar Vegetable Market?"

And Bhauji could manage only 10 things.

He couldn't find the 11th

and the countdown started - 10, 9, 8, 7...

There was an old gentleman standing next to him

Bhauji removed his dentures!

DENTURES!

The old man got angry "Scoundrels, don't you see the walking stick I am holding?"

If the letter was "La', would you remove my-

Calm down. He meant lehenga.

BACK TO THE CLASSICS - Reminder - Duration: 6:59.

Hello everybody, welcome to this party vlog

If you are not Dutch, please turn on the subtitles!

Welcome to my vlog about Reminder

It'll be the first time I go to Reminder,

I'm very excited.

Say hi to Bubba by the way

If you've seen my Origins vlog

you know that I started listening/partying to Hardstyle around 2013

So I'll admit that Reminder is actually a bit before my time

But that's fine, Origins helped me develop a love for the classic sounds

I'm very curious what this party will be like, and what I'll think about it

Even though it is beautiful outside, the party today is inside

Of course, there is no way they could've known this

However, it takes place during the day, which I think is so nice

I think it's very positive that more and more indoor parties take place during the day.

The vibes are the same, it's dark indoors anyway,

and you can come home at a normal time

or go along to your next party, whatever your plans are

So I'm very excited, I'm taking you with me

I don't really know what to expect since it's my first time

There's two areas, with a good lineup, I think

I'll take you with me, and I'll see you there!

Toilet update! Hope you can hear me!

It's a bit loud everywhere

So I'll be vlogging in here today!

First impression is really good

I just came in

You get a card instead tokens. You load them on there

It seems really handy, but we shall see today how that goes

I'm curious

Same goes for the lockers: you get a card which you put in front of your locker and it opens

So no code!

So I like it so far, curious what will happen!

thank you!

Tiny update!

It's not quite that busy yet, but the atmosphere is amazing

it's so much which makes it an amazing party.

The sound in the second area is not that great

but not that bad that it really bothers me a lot

and as I said, it's really fun

My god, there are some great sets being played out there

I'm loving it

I just had to switch cameras

The screen of my canon is loose

I taped it shut and put it in my locker

I'll fix it tomorrow

I'm filming on my Sony right now

The quality shouldn't be too much of a difference

but I always film on my Canon for a reason so yeah

I hope it doesn't bother you guys

We're not going home yet, because I'm having a great time!

I'm almost home already!

Despite the heat, it was such an amazing party

I think that was the only negative thing I have to say;

it was way too warm inside

And the sound wasn't that good sometimes

Especially in the second area

BUt the atmosphere was great from the beginning

even when I came in and it was still quite empty

everybody was dancing and partying already

When it got more busy, that atmosphere stayed that good

My fav sets were those of Max Enforcer & Frontliner

I really enjoyed those.

I might not be an expert when it comes to the classics,

I do think this party was very succesful

I also really enjoyed Two Point Zero's set in the second area

Great set guys, really enjoyed it

On one hand I really enjoyed that small area

The atmosphere was great there

It was almost cozy, people around you that you know, dancing with them

but on the other hand it was a smoking area

and as non-smoker that wasn't the best thing

it didn't bother me too much though

So I really enjoyed myself; but honestly I enjoy almost all parties

But this certainly scored point when it comes to atmosphere and great sets

So I had a great day

If you enjoyed this, please give that thumbs-up and subscribe for more!

Sorry I had to switch cameras, I'm getting the other one fixed as soon as possible

I hope it didn't bother you too much

As I said; subscribe and I'll see you Friday on Supersized

I'm filming multiple videos there, among them a vlog

And an interview with two very special guys

So stay tuned, I'll see you there! Bye bye!

I Got Transformed Into Kate Middleton | Beauty Evolution | Refinery29 - Duration: 3:51.

If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe below so you don't miss any videos.

I'm definitely very excited about this shoot because I'm being transformed into a legitimate princess.

Being told that I look like her is amazing, it's such a compliment.

It's very aspirational to be like her.

So I'm excited to be turned into her and see how this look goes.

Obviously being in the royal family, you know, there's this stigma that you have to carry

yourself a certain way.

But I think she's just naturally very poised and elegant and respectable.

Actually, as we're filming this she is pregnant with her third child.

So congratulations, Kate!

Alright guys, make me into a princess.

This first look is right before Kate got engaged to William.

There was definitely a lot of controversy around this look because it's very un-royal

of her or anyone to be wearing, I guess.

I think it just reminds everybody that she was a human being.

And I don't think she's doing anything wrong, you know, she's on a runway.

Her makeup is definitely very rosy.

You can see she's got pink cheeks, pink lips, and a smoky eye.

I really cannot wait to see what I look like, like this.

Oh my god.

These are definitely bringing me back to my beaded moments in the '90s.

I love it.

I think we pulled it off.

This look is obviously extremely memorable.

Her dress is amazing.

And fun fact, Kate actually took makeup lessons before her special day and did her own makeup.

So that's pretty admirable.

And she looks amazing.

So way to go, Kate.

Her hair is amazing here.

She has some light body curls that are just falling over her shoulders in a really lovely way.

I think it frames her face perfectly too.

I'm a little nervous to see what I look like.

I'm not gonna lie.

Whoa, oh my gosh, I legit look like her.

Kay, where's my prince?

I'm waiting.

I don't know.

I'm speechless.

I feel very royal.

I love this look.

I think Kate looks so happy with her family.

And it's definitely very royal.

The hat, her hair's pinned back in the bun, and when you think of the royal family I think

this is the exact picture and outfit that would come to my mind.

Her hair is very clean in the front, but the back is a very elaborate and intricate up do.

It's like a business in the front, party in the back.

I think Kate keeps somewhat of the same classy makeup look.

But I love that here she accentuates her eyes with a smoky eye and then keeps the same rosy

cheeks and lips.

Matches her outfit.

Okay.

Oh my goodness.

Wow.

I feel very prim and proper.

Like I was in a fairy tale.

Overall, this has been amazing.

I didn't think I looked like Kate Middleton until I saw myself like this.

It was super glamorous and I felt like actual royalty.

Today's definitely made me want to step outside of my box more and do cooler things with my

hair and my makeup.

Thank you guys so much for watching.

A New Message | Something New - Duration: 15:35.

The next day their rulers elders and scribes

Assembled in Jerusalem with a nossa high priest Caiaphas John and Alexander and all who were of the high priests family

When they made the prisoners stand in their midst they inquired by what power or by what name did you do this then Peter?

Filled with the Holy Spirit said to them rulers of the people and elders

If we are questioned today because of a good deed done to someone who was sick and her asked how this man has been healed

Let it let it be known to all of you

And to all the people of Israel that this man is standing before you in good health by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Whom you crucified

whom God raised from the dead

This Jesus is the corner this Jesus is a stone that was rejected by you the builders it has become the cornerstone

There's their salvation in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and ordinary men

They were amazed and recognized them as companions of Jesus

When they saw the man who was had been cured standing beside them they had nothing to say in opposition

So they ordered them to leave the council while they discussed the matter with one another

They said what will we do with them?

For it is obvious to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable sign has been done through them. We cannot deny it

But to keep it from spreading further among the people let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name

So they called them and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus

But Peter and John answered them

Whether it is right in God's sight to listen to you rather than to God you must judge

For we cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard

The Word of God for the people of God so friends as we continue to walk through the book of Acts during this Easter season

We are rediscovering how the resurrection of Jesus brought about something new in the world

we learned how the new community that formed in his name embodied the values of the kingdom of God and

Last week we explored how the power of the risen Lord

Continues to bring about new and healing as we continue in the story of how the Apostles Peter and John

Healed a man in the name of Jesus Christ

We hear the new message that they are able to proclaim as they explain what happened to the authorities now

You remember how Peter and John were on their way to the temple to pray and they saw a man who couldn't walk?

Sitting at the temple gate asking for alms

Peter got his attention and explained that they didn't have any money to offer him

but they could offer him something even better, and then he said in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth get up and walk and

the man did

They went together into the temple and Peter started teaching everyone there about Jesus

But that didn't sit too well with the authorities in fact

They were annoyed that they were teaching people in the name of Jesus and that he was teaching about the resurrection from the dead

Now I can appreciate

What the authorities may have been thinking you see among them were some of the bigwigs who orchestrated the arrest and death of Jesus

Including anise and Caiaphas plus there were some Sadducees there who didn't even think that resurrection was a thing that could happen

Of course they would be annoyed they were probably thinking oh, I thought we were done with this whole Jesus thing already but surprise

Jesus was alive and glorified and people were coming to faith every day

Not even the arrest of the Apostles could stop the good news from spreading

So after Peter and John have been jailed for the night the authorities bring them out to question them

And they ask by what power by what name are you doing this?

What gives the Apostles the right to teach or to heal?

Peter basically tells him y'all seriously you're questioning us because something good has happened

No crime has happened here a man has been healed. That's amazing, but fine you want to know how this happened

Let me tell you about this guy Jesus

He goes on to tell them the same message that he has been saying every time he has the chance that

Jesus was crucified, but now he's alive and through him there is salvation

Now in Peters response we see an example of what I think is the basic job description of the church

You see our whole job as the church as the community of faith is to bear witness to the resurrection

Of Jesus and it's redemptive significance in other words

We are called to tell people that Jesus is alive and that through him. We also have new life

Now even though. This is good news sometimes. It's challenging for people to hear

sometimes people don't think that they want or need new life that what they have going on is working just fine and

Others somehow think that they don't deserve a second chance or that they're not worthy of new life

But friends

We know the truth we know the reality that God's grace is sufficient

That God calls all people to experience this gift of new life in Jesus

So even when them hearing the message or or sharing it is slow going or challenging

We are nonetheless called to be as persistent as Peter who spoke the truth even when he was confronted by those in power

Now the scene in this account is set up like a confrontation not just between the authorities and the Apostles

but between the old faith and the new

Now in one sense this message that Peter proclaims really isn't anything new

It's a proclamation of how God

continues to save people the same God that called forth a nation and

Rescued it from slavery and led them to the promised land and redeemed them time and again from the hand of

Oppressors this same God is the one who raised Jesus from the dead and through him continues to save all of creation

but in another sense

this message is

entirely new

What's new about it?

Is how God is uniquely revealed and at work through Jesus Christ?

Who was and is the promised Messiah and that it is through his resurrection that in it's possible for us also

To have new life

our message, then is that

Jesus whom God raised from the dead is the one who offers us salvation

That has both spiritual and social dimensions

Something that I find interesting though is how Peter uses the word safe whenever he proclaims the good news

you see in Greek Shozo means to safe, but it also has the connotation of rescue or

Healing it's helpful to think of it in terms of the Hebrew word Shalom, which means wholeness and well-being and peace

That's why when Peter talks about healing the man who couldn't walk he uses the word saved

To be saved as more nuanced than a simple rescue

it's a restoration to wholeness and

That friends is the good news of Jesus Christ that we proclaim to the world in a unique way

Jesus offers us salvation

healing those who hurt

uniting those who are divided and

restoring those who are broken and

That salvation that healing isn't some far-off dream, but it's a reality that is happening right now

Friends who here has experienced restoration

Who here has had a change in the way they see things because of Jesus I?

know I have

Friends just in the last couple of months. I have experienced

How deep wounds can be healed and peace can be restored because of Jesus and?

I know that God is continuing to bring up new life in me and in you and in the world around us

Now that vast

Transformation that is happening can be challenging even

Puzzling for some people just as it was for the authorities who are questioning Peter and John

They were amazed not only at the content of the message, but by the boldness with which they spoke

You see they figured that the apostles were uneducated and ordinary man or in the Greek that they were illiterate idiots

But here they were speaking with profound conviction and authority

Yet, there was no refuting the evidence that the man the Apostles healed was standing right there

So the authorities couldn't say anything else

They tried to tell Peter to stop speaking in the name of Jesus

But Peter gets a little bit sassy and tells them hey we can't stop

Talking about what we have seen and what we have heard the good news of Jesus is too big, too

important too amazing to keep to ourselves

They can't help but speak out even when they are threatened I

Think that's an amazing turnaround for Peter who we remember just weeks before

Had cravenly denied Jesus three times

But now here. He is boldly aggravating the authorities with his convicting speech in Jesus name

Now how was Peter able to speak with such boldness?

Friends he's filled with the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus prayed what happened for his disciples

The spirit gives Peter the words to speak at just the right time

Now today, I wonder how bold we are in proclaiming the name of Jesus

We do need to recognize that the church today is in a very

Different place than the apostles were no longer is the church a ragtag community coming up against powerful authorities

We have to recognize that in a lot of ways we have

become the authorities

even so I

Wonder if the increase in our position has sometimes led to a decrease in our boldness

when we proclaim the good news of Jesus in

Some cases we desire to keep our position or good name and that silences our desire to share Christ

for others

The thought of saying the name Jesus or praying out loud or or talking about how God is at work in our lives is

Nerve-racking after all we don't want to offend anyone. We don't want to look weird. We don't want to rock the boat

We especially don't want to be conflated with those Talking Heads who get up on their soap boxes and just make everybody mad

So how are we supposed to proclaim the good news?

What does speaking boldly in the name of Jesus Christ look like I

Think it's helpful for us to take our cue from Peter as we shared the gospel

You'll notice as we continue to walk through Acts that Peter is consistent in his message

He is sensitive to his context. He knows his audience and

He speaks from the heart of what he knows to be true

He speaks from a place of conviction because he trusts in what God is up to?

Most importantly though Peter is open to how the Holy

Spirit is going to speak through him and touch the lives of those around him now

I imagine that Peter had some inkling of what he would say I mean he had all night in jail to kind of come up

With his speech right?

But ultimately his boldness did not come from preparation or experience

It came from being open to the Holy Spirit in that moment and trusting that the words would come

So - it is for us

Friends boldness of speech in the name of Jesus isn't about volume or preparation or experience

It's about how the Spirit of God is filling us

What if we

Instead of trying to keep the good news to ourselves or trying to shout down people who think differently than us, what if we instead?

Allowed the Spirit of God to teach us how to act and what to say

We talk a lot about how we embody the good news of Jesus Christ

And how we bear witness to the resurrection by how we live our lives and that is important

but I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves that our verbal our spoken witness is important -

The good news is too important for us to keep silent about it

The message we have been given to share with the world is unique, and we must not be afraid to acknowledge

How God's love and grace are revealed uniquely through Jesus Christ

But friends we also do well to remember that boldness in the name of Christ isn't about bashing people over the head with the gospel

What about cooperating with the holy spirit?

speaking the truth about what we ourselves have seen and heard and

inviting others to

Receive the wholeness and healing that can be experienced in a special way through Jesus

We are given the power by the Holy Spirit to speak boldly the good news of salvation in the name of Jesus Christ

One of the saddest things I think is when the name of Jesus is used to justify division and hatred and hurt

That's the opposite of good news

So friends as we take up the call to boldly proclaim

new life in Jesus Christ

Let us remember that words have meaning and power and the name of Jesus in particular has enormous

meaning and power

Let us be mindful of whether we use the name of Jesus to bring harm or blessing

Do we speak the good news to divide or to unite?

Do we talk about the resurrection to wound or to heal?

When we speak the good news about the unique revelation and blessing that Jesus offers the world

Let us be sure that we do it out of love and respect for the people who hear us

Now after Peter and John are released. They go back to the community of faith, and they tell them about everything that has happened

They all praise God, and then they pray together that God would grant them the grace to speak the good news boldly

the room shakes a sign of God's presence among them and the Holy Spirit fills them and

Indeed they go on to speak the good news of God

May that be our prayer to friends

That God may give us the grace to speak not our own words

But the word of God and that we may do so with all boldness and conviction and love

May it be so

Jeep Wrangler Rough Country D Ring Kit (2007-2018 JK & JL) Review - Duration: 3:22.

If you're the owner of a Rough Country front bumper, or if you're looking to purchase one

for your 07 to 18 JK, then you may have noticed that the bumper does not come with D-rings

or mounts pre-installed on the bumper.

Since a bumper has a modular setup, Rough Country offers different parts separately

from the base model, including this D-ring kit.

This kit will be for you, if you're looking for some extra recovery points on the trail,

or that aggressive off-road style to the front end of your JK or both.

I would like to mention that this is specifically for the Rough Country front bumper, and will

not be compatible with the factory front bumper.

However, installing this will be very simple, at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter, and I'll get into the details in just a moment.

Like I mentioned, this is meant to provide more recovery points off-road, and it has

the strength to back that up.

The full kit comes with a pair of two D-ring shackles, as well as two mounting plates to

hook them onto.

The D-rings are made of solid forged steel, which will be 3/4 inch thick, and pretty standard

when it comes to recovery.

The plates of the D-rings mount to are made of solid quarter inch steel with a black carbon

powder coat finish.

This will help the mount to resist any rust or corrosion, and it will perfectly match

the same texture black, of your Rough Country front bumper.

Both of them combined with the grade 8 hardware will create a very strong recovery point to

attach a winch line to.

What I really like about this kit, is the fact that it works with other modular components

on the Rough Country bumper, so you don't have to pick one and be done there.

These are compatible with the available Stinger options, as well as compatible with the light

bar and the bull bar options that Rough Country also offers.

At the moment, these are listed at about $80, and I think they're priced very well for what

they include.

Since these are specifically designed for the Rough Country front bumper, there's really

not much to compare it to on the site.

We do offer similar options by Off Camber Fabrications, as well as Rugged Ridge, but

those will be specifically designed for their own brands' bumpers just like this one.

In comparison to the price, they're about $20, to even $80 more, so with this setup

that you're getting here, it's a pretty fair price.

Other options for D-rings on the page will just come with the D-rings, and they won't

come with the mounting brackets.

Overall, this would be the best option if you're looking for some solid recovery points

for your Rough Country front bumper.

Installing this couldn't get any easier, and I have to give this one a one out of three

wrenches on the difficulty meter.

You should only need about 15 minutes' worth of your time and a couple of hand tools to

get these all hooked up.

These would re-use the torque's bolts hardware on the front of your Rough Country front bumper,

and the plate will basically sandwich in between the existing hardware, and the bumper.

All you have to do is remove the torque's bits, line up the plate, and bolt them into

place.

Then, you can unscrew the D-ring, and hook that onto the mounting plate, and you're all

set.

So, if you're looking for some solid recovery points for your Rough Country front bumper,

this kit is it.

This is Meredith for the XT, and for everything Wrangler, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge 7/8" D-Ring Shackles - Pair (1987-2018 TJ, YJ, JK & JL) Review - Duration: 3:14.

These Rugged Ridge 7/8-inch D-ring shackles in black are for those of you that have a

1987 and up Wrangler that are looking for some pretty heavy-duty shackles for any sort

of recovery situation you might find yourself in.

Those of you that have a set of bumpers that have D-ring mounting points often like to

keep a set of these on there all the time, so if you're looking for a black set over

your traditional zinc-coated silver set, this is going to do that job for you as well.

Not much of an installation with these things, definitely one out of three wrenches.

You really just unscrew them, screw them on to either your bumper or throw them in your

recovery bag, have them laying around for when you need them.

I'll talk a little bit more about that in just a second.

So there are really going to be two different main sizes of D-ring shackles that you're

going to find for uses with and around Jeeps.

Those are going to be 3/4 and 7/8.

Of course, the 3/4 are going to be a little bit smaller and not be able to pull quite

as much weight.

These are 6.5 ton.

Those are going to be a little bit less.

However, the pin here is also going to be smaller on those 3/4 inch.

If your bumper has a D-ring shackle mounting point and that hole is only designed for 3/4

inch, this is not going to work for you.

So do keep that in mind.

If you're looking for shackles to hang off of your bumper full-time, you want to make

sure that they're going to fit.

And these are going to be the larger of the two choices that are available.

So these are going to be used, again, in recovery for attaching your winch line to a tree saver,

for attaching two tow straps or snatch straps together if you are attaching a snatch block

to a tree with a tree saver.

There are a lot of different reasons that you are going to want to have some of these

in your recovery bag, and you can really never have too many in a recovery situation.

Especially in some of those trickier ones, you're probably going to need a couple of

these.

So like I said, these D-ring shackles can pull 6.5 tons.

These are the largest, 7/8, as opposed to the slightly smaller 3/4 that don't have quite

the pulling capacity.

These do have the black coating on them.

Keep in mind, if you are going to be using these for multiple recoveries, there's a chance

that your straps and other equipment can end up wearing off that black coating.

So just something to note.

So like I said, not really something to install unless you plan on hanging these on your bumper

all the time.

If not, you're just going to be throwing them in your recovery bag.

One tip for these is they can become tight during recoveries.

The hole in the pin here is designed so that you can put something in there and use that

as leverage to get them broken loose again, so you'll want to have a screwdriver handy,

something with a diameter that will fit inside that hole there that will allow you to break

these loose in the event that they tighten up on you.

A pair of these come in at just shy of $40.

I don't think that's going to be a bad price for them.

You are getting the larger 7/8 with a heavier pulling capacity, and you are getting a black

coating here.

If you're just looking for something simpler, the 3/4 will generally have plenty of capacity

for what most of us are doing.

The uncoated ones are also going to be a little bit less expensive, but if you want the bigger

ones with a black coating, these are going to be a pretty good deal.

So if you're looking for a set of D-ring shackles for your Wrangler, I would recommend taking

a look at these ones from Rugged Ridge.

You can find them right here at extremeterrain.com.

I think that was the only negative thing I have to say;

it was way too warm inside

Bye bye!

The Hidden Reality of Labor Trafficking in the U.S. | "Trafficked in America" | FRONTLINE - Duration: 5:02.

This is where the traffickers

forced the Guatemalan teens to

work off their debts.

>> (speaking Spanish):

>> ALTAN: This man says he

worked with the teens at

Trillium.

>> (speaking Spanish):

>> ALTAN: In October 2014,

after four months at Trillium,

one of the teens managed to call

his uncle in Florida.

The uncle agreed to talk to us,

but was afraid to show his face

on camera.

>> (speaking Spanish):

>> One day I received a phone

call.

There was a gentleman that had a

nephew that had been smuggled

into the country from Guatemala,

and was being kept to work

against his will in Ohio.

And within 24 hours, I had a

conference call from the head of

the FBI, HSI, and the U.S.

attorney's office in that

region.

>> ALTAN: Two months later,

federal and local law

enforcement moved in.

>> A human trafficking bust at

an egg farm in...

>> ALTAN: In the early

morning hours, they raided the

trailer park where the teens had

been living.

>> Federal prosecutors call it

modern-day slavery.

>> Their paychecks kept by their

traffickers.

>> ALTAN: They detained

approximately 45 people.

>> The human trafficking

operation was run by a third-

party contractor hired by

Trillium Farms.

>> ALTAN: At least ten, they

determined, were victims of

trafficking, including eight

minors.

>> The U.S. attorney's

office says its investigation is

ongoing.

>> I mean, how could that

possibly happen?

The more we learned about it,

the more it became apparent that

there was a connection back to

our immigration policies and how

the Department of Health and

Human Services deals with kids

who come here unaccompanied.

What makes the Marion case even

more alarming is that a U.S.

government agency was actually

responsible for delivering some

of the victims into the hands of

the abusers.

How could the federal government

take these kids in and try to

protect them, and then as they

send them out to families, you

know, pending a court date, give

them right back to the people

who had brought them up here?

Here's one of those homes-- this

is a trailer.

>> ALTAN: Senator Rob Portman

was chairman of the committee

that investigated the failures

at the Department of Health and

Human Services-- the agency that

released the boys to the

traffickers in Ohio.

>> The more we learned, the more

troubling it was from a federal

perspective, because no one

seemed to want to take

responsibility for it.

>> What everybody's doing is

doing this-- out the door, we're

done.

>> We've got these kids.

They're here.

They're living on our soil.

And for us to just, you know,

assume someone else is going to

take care of them and throw them

to the wolves, which is what HHS

was doing, is flat-out wrong.

I don't care what you think

about immigration policy-- it's

wrong.

>> ALTAN: The HHS division

responsible for placing the

teens declined to be

interviewed.

They told the committee they had

strengthened their procedures to

protect children.

But the committee had

found over a dozen

other cases of trafficking

related to the surge, and said

it was impossible to know just

how many more victims there are.

>> It was not just the Ohio egg

farm case-- there were other

cases in which multiple children

were placed with sponsors in

homes where they were subject to

human trafficking, sexual abuse,

and other severe forms of abuse

and exploitation.

More than 180,000 unaccompanied

minors have been placed in

communities across the country.

But because there's so little

follow-up with them once they're

out of the government's care, we

have no idea what's happened to

them.

How to Paint a Ferrari 488 Black - With Oil Paints, Narrated - Duration: 5:12.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will paint a black Ferrari.

The canvas has been previously toned gray and the linework

of the car is done.

We begin by painting the sky blue and then while it is wet

we lightly paint some clouds.

And smudge it.

I lightly go over them with a fan brush, for this.

Right underneath will be the sea.

Inspired on the french Riviera,

so we add a more intense blue.

The lower part of it, will be lighter so we add more white to the mix.

Like so… and blend it in.

And right underneath there will be some green hills and the road.

We add different tones of greens and brown to these plants

and a little lighter version, to these ones further away.

And now let´s hit the road [laughter].

It will be made of different tones of gray, and since we want the car

to look in motion

it is important to make the strokes in the direction of the movement.

We add a cast shadow.

As you see I have been painting what is further away first, what is

in the back, and then I have been coming forward to what is closer

and closer.

And what is on top of everything else is the car, so I leave that one for last.

You don´t need to follow this approach necessarily, but I find it helpful

and I recommend it... to paint what is on top, last.

And now the next step is to add the blacks.

The blacks of the car.

Well, actually the whole car will be black [laughter] but what I mean is that

right now I paint what it will stay black, the darkest, because most of the car surface

will be reflective in some way and so will be a bit lighter.

Or a lot lighter in some cases.

This is a Ferrari 488 by the way.

I´m using a very small brush and with this, let´s add some

curving reflections.

Like so.

And now that we have the blacks in place, let´s add the whites.

The lighter of the reflections.

In this way we will have the darkest and the lightest and everything

else will be in between.

Obviously most of the white reflections, will be facing up

facing toward the sun.

Good!

Now let´s begin adding some of the gray in between.

There can be many degrees of gray.

It is a little bit tricky I have to say to paint a black car

because one would tend to want paint everything black [laughter]

but it will look pretty flat.

Ah-- you need to think of the reflections.

And of the different tones created.

Let´s add some white by the black for contrast.

It will be pretty dark here.

We will do the glass, the windows also with these colors.

The complete list of materials, as always, is in the information below the video.

I love drawing and painting super cars, sport cars!

That is definitely one of my guilty passions [laughter].

And I know for this painting the drawing was already done,

but if you want to learn to draw cars I have a whole playlist of videos

that teach you how to draw them.

I will link to that list at the end of this video.

We painted the wheels and now tail-lights.

It is very important when painting the wheels and the tires that if

the car is in motion, you don´t do them in-detail, like with the spikes of the wheel

it is more like you only see a blurry reflection.

That shows the speed… and I darken a little more some of these spots.

Also to help with the illusion of the speed I may pull back some little treads of paint.

As if as slight glare was left behind the car.

Very good!

It´s ready!

If you enjoyed it please give it a LIKE! share it to your friends

and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips.

And I will see you, on Tuesday ;)

Cheap Way to Get Into Smart Home Automation - Tech Tip Tuesday - Duration: 3:56.

Me:Turn on studio lights Assistant: you got it turning on two things

What's up everyone Mitesh here back at it again today with another Tech Tip Tuesday and today

I'm gonna be showing you guys one of the

cheapest ways to get into smart home automation, and that's by buying smart plugs.

So smart plugs are plugs that go into your outlet

And then they control the power going to a device that you plug in to them

The way they work is they connect to Wi-Fi and then you can use an app or voice assistant like Google home or Amazon

Alexa to control them. So in this video

I'm going to show you guys what the benefits of getting a smart plugs are versus getting like a smart device

And then I'm also going to talk about ways you can use smart plugs to make your life better.

So there's a couple of reasons why you may consider getting smart plugs over a smart device itself and the main ones are the

Cost and then there's gonna be the fact that you probably already own a device that you like that you want to make smart.

Cost wise the one that I - the smartplugs that I got are from a company called Sieges. They sell them on Amazon

They're 2/$25, which is a great price links in description if you guys are interested, but yeah

So there's two for twenty-five dollars whereas for example if you were to get a smart coffee maker

That's month coffee maker roll command at least a fifty to a hundred dollar premium over a regular coffee maker so

It's it worth it to buy that versus just getting a regular coffee maker and plugging it into one of these things

I don't know

But that's where number two comes in most likely you already own a coffee maker that you like and that you just want to make

A little bit smarter, so that's where these come in really handy. So for example for me

I have these two studio lights that I like a lot

and

I just want to be able to control them with my voice so when I'm ready to record I could just tell Google to turn

on studio lights

And yeah, so for me this made a lot more sense and try to replace these with smart studio lights

It just- I don't even know those exist and if they did I'm sure they cost a lot of money

So those are pretty much the reasons you would pick smart plugs over smart device itself

And I want to move on to the second half of this video

which I talked about how you can use from our plugs inside of your house because

they do take a little bit of thought into how you

use them because

They only control two things they can turn on and off a device so you want to think about where you can best use these

And one of the backs might coffee maker example because I think that's one of the best places to use it. So for the coffee

Maker you just plug your coffee maker into one of these smart plugs

and then in the morning when you get up you can just tell your phone turn on coffee maker or

Tell Google home to turn on coffee maker and it'll just do it in fact Google home

It has started to have routines, so you can add this as a part of your

Good morning, routine, so when you say good morning to it

It'll not only tell you the traffic the weather and all that but it can also turn on your coffee maker so

It'll be ready by the time you get to your kitchen or wherever you have a coffee maker now

I'll be covering Google routines in another video so make sure you guys are subscribed so you don't miss that one, but yeah

So that's a that's a good place to use it for me like I said my studio lights made a lot of sense for

You guys, maybe you just have a lamp that you really like and you want to just be able to automate it

Yeah, just throw the plug on there

And then you can just do it with your voice or via the app and that's a great way to do it, too.

One of the other place you can use it is with like a hair straightener if you might have one of those if you just

Want to be sure that you turned it off

You can just plug it into one of these so even if you leave the house like "Did I turn off that

straightener?" you can be sure by just going to the app and

Turning it off or since it takes some time to heat up

You can tell just it to turn on this when you get out of bed

And I'll be ready by the time you get into the bathroom

So those are some ways that you could make use of these thoughtfully.

But yeah that's when we call after you guys in this tech tip Tuesday, so if you guys enjoyed it

You know what to do, and if you guys want to see more videos like this don't forget to hit that subscribe button and yeah

I'll catch you guys in the next one. Bye

Repurposed Drug Extends Life of Kids with Progeria - Duration: 2:40.

Let me say up front that I am NOT talking about a randomized trial this week.

Nevertheless, this study appearing in the Journal of the American Medical Association

has data that is more compelling than many trials that have come across my desk.

The disease is Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria, an ultra-rare condition – occurring in just

1 in 4 million births and characterized by premature aging.

The natural history of progeria is death, usually due to cardiac causes, in the early

to mid-teen years.

Until recently, there have been no known therapies.

Enter lonafarnib, an obscure little farnesyl transferase inhibitor that has seen some use

in hepatitis delta virus infection and is being investigated for its anti-cancer properties.

The primary gene defect in progeria is in lamin A. Lamin A normally gets farnesylated,

but the farnesyl part of the protein is subsequently cleaved.

In progeria, that cleavage site is rendered inactive, leading to retention of the farnesyl

group and accumulation of the altered protein which leads to the progeria phenotype.

Researchers, led by Leslie Gordon, wondered whether inhibiting farnesylation in the first

place would make a difference.

Lonafarnib does just that.

The first trial of lonafarnib led to promising results – kids treated with the drug had

improved weight gain and less skeletal rigidity.

But only now was there enough data collected to look at a hard outcome – all-cause mortality.

The researchers compared 63 patients treated with lonafarnib to 63 patients who were not

treated with the drug.

Again, this wasn't randomized.

I think there's a good argument here that randomization would be unethical.

That said, the researchers matched treated and untreated patients on a variety of factors

to minimize bias.

And the results were dramatic.

The survival curves show what the raw numbers tell us.

Among the treated patients, just 4 died over the two years of study, compared to 17 deaths

in the untreated group.

These results are unheard of in this disease.

Results this strong are rarely seen in most diseases, actually.

Now most of these kids started taking the medication at around 9 or 10 years of age,

and it didn't seem to have much effect on their physical appearance.

But one wonders if earlier treatment would lead to even more dramatic results.

This is a story that is inspiring on many levels.

There's, obviously, the potential to transform the lives of a group of very special children.

But it's also exemplary of the scientific method gone right – where rigorous basic

science and the smart application of an existing drug combine to produce outcomes that are

genuine breakthroughs.
