LG Electronics began sales of its latest G6 smartphone today in Korea through the nation's
three mobile carriers.
The 5-point-7-inch Android phone features the world's first 18-by-9 screen with high
definition audio and an HD optical-angle camera.
LG says pre-order sales have exceeded those of its previous models and its expectations.
The phone retails for just under 780 U.S. dollars, but it'll go for quite a bit less
when including promotions and rebates from the carriers.
Analysts say competition in the premium smartphone market is heating up... with Samsung Electronics
to release its Galaxy S Eight next month.
