The Power Of The Handshake and Trusting Others | Forever Transformed Coaching Episode #7 - Duration: 5:09.

In today's lesson you will learn about trusting others and the power of the "handshake."

In business the handshake is one the most powerful influential tools to being successful.

Although a standard handshake is not usually legally binding, there is great meaning behind

it.

There is something significant and profound about the way another man or woman shakes

your hand.

Be it your father, friend or potential client, there are ways of decoding someone through

their handshake.

What does a handshake say about you?

Everything.

Your handshake can imply a steely confidence or an unassertive insecurity.

Knowing how to shake a hand properly is a forgotten art.

Men have failed to teach others a genuine shake because they fail to realize its importance.

Notice how great leaders shake with authority — power and command amplified through their

right hand.

What kind of authority is in your handshake?

There is 7 main types of handshakes.

Hand Hug Dominator

Cold and Clammy Crusher

Queens Fingertips Keep Back

Yank and Pull

The type of handshake you reach out to give someone determines how you feel about yourself.

The confidence you have within.

Are you a delicate person who is all about emotional reaction and insecurities or a person

with strong integrity, confidence, and security.

Determining and fine tuning your handshake is an art.

Over time you begin to learn what is just right but it will make the difference in getting

the job or not and will without a doubt change your overall impression to someone.

You must believe in yourself and have the ability to react when faced with adversity.

The art described as the handshake is powerful and therefore needed in all fields of social

interaction.

If you have someone around you right now, pause the video and ask to shake their hand.

When finished, ask them their impression of your handshake.

Was it too strong or weak.

Find out what they truly think.

This will help you learn the art for the long term.

So go ahead and pause the video to complete this task.

Now that you have completed the task asked, let's a take a look at how to find trust in

someone.

Most of us have felt like our trust has been compromised at some point in our lives.

Needless to say, these experiences can be very painful.

Perhaps we're still scared to trust again.

We think to ourselves, "Who can I trust?

And how do I know that I can trust them?"

Everyone has been in the position at some point in life where it is difficult to know

whether you can trust someone or not.

When someone breaks your trust so many times and not knowing what you did to deserve it.

Bottom line, it sucks.

Here are some recommended tips to help you decide if someone is to be trusted.

Look back into your past and see if they have ever done anything to hurt you.

Look at how many times they did and what it was about.

Did they ever choose you over someone else.

Did they ever choose someone else over you.

If they are constantly hurting and choosing others over you then they should not be trusted.

Has the person ever been caught lying to you or helping someone else beat you?

There is a point where lying is acceptable.

If the person is lying to protect you and does not want to see you hurt then they should

be trusted.

However, if they again are choosing others and opening up your secrets to the world then

you should keep them out of the loop for good.

We all have reasons not to trust.

What I mean by this is that we've all felt hurt, disappointed, rejected, scared, and

abandoned.

We have all suffered in some way (actually, we have all suffered in very similar ways),

and we have all felt pain in relationships.

We're all in the same boat.

I say this because it's comforting to realize that we're not alone.

We are in this together.

We have all been hurt, and we are all trying to avoid that happening again.

When you decide to trust someone it means that you believe in that person's integrity.

Trusting is knowing that ultimately this person's intentions are good.

And it also means that you know that they are going to make mistakes.

When others offer you their trust, please do not break it.

Breaking someone's trust is like putting a bunch of needles into one's eyes.

It is painful and unforgettable.

If you think that they will forget then you are wrong because trusting someone is just

as big of an art as a handshake.

It is a powerful form that is only able to have light shined down upon it when it's broken.

Believe me of all people, I have seen it first hand.

I have had people, hundreds of people in the same few months break my trust - integrity

- and confidence down to a pulp.

I have chosen to move past my past as if it does not exist but is a foundation for my

future.

I understand that sometimes you're scared; I get that you've been hurt.

I've been there, too.

But I want you to know that no matter what, you are going to be OK.

Trust that.

Believe that.

Know that.

When you do, you will be able to offer trust to others too, and it will serve as the foundation

for many long-lasting, loving relationships to firmly build upon.

You have successfully completed lesson 7, we hope that we were able to shine light onto

your life.

We look forward to seeing you in the next lesson to come.

2017 Paul Bator Award: Prof. William Baude - Duration: 2:48.

The Federalist Society gives the Paul Bator award, uh, every year to a young, uh, under

40, uh, law professor who they think is excellent in teaching and in scholarship.

Uh, it's a great honor, and, uh, I was delighted to hear that Will Baude is getting it this

year.

Will is one of those people, uh, that I met and I knew immediately that I was in the presence

of greatness.

He is a fount of wisdom and a real intellectual strength, he's highly prolific as a scholar,

highly imaginative in the way in which he teaches his students...He is absolutely brilliant,

uh, one of the greatest legal minds of uh, his generation.

The law professor is somebody who's driven by ideas and a love of trying to figure out

things about the law, and then about trying to communicate those ideas to others, especially

students, both through teaching and through writing, to try to, try to instill in them

the same interest in, in trying to figure things out.

Professor Baude is one of the most engaging professors that I've had the joy of having

at the Law School.

Professor Baude is just so enthusiastic about the law and the constitution and just finding

out what the constitution actually means.

He always takes every opportunity in class to push back on anybody's perspective; whether

it's conservative, libertarian, liberal.

He always takes the opposing side and makes sure that you really think through every answer

and you see all perspectives.

I remember sending him a phone call when he got the Chicago offer telling him if he didn't

take it I would be very, very irate with him.

He says he still has that phone call on his voice machine.

The students adore him, his colleagues are enormously uh, uh, impressed, and he has made

as much of an impact on the fields that he's been writing in, mostly constitutional law,

as any, uh, newly minted professor I've seen in the country.

Professor Baude has taught me to get to the best answers and not import, sort of, your

own ideas or preferences into what the law is, but really just look for, what is the

answer that's in the law.

The Paul Bator award has been given to a bunch of my heroes, basically, uh, in the academy.

And it's something that means a lot to a rising academic.

I have the highest regard for Will.

Many other people, uh, have, have received it, and uh, uh, he's in very good company

and he very much deserves to be there.

It also provides an incentive to try to really, uh, prove in retrospect that it was a, a good

decision, that it was earned, rather than to waste it and throw away your shot.

5 Reasons Why | Inheritance Cycle CC - Duration: 8:18.

Hello fellow book or night owl, my name is Jii with the double i

and today I'm going to give you 5 reasons why

you should read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

The Inheritance Cycle is a 4 book series

it's a high fantasy and it's amazing (be prepared to read that a lot)

Number 1

Dragons

they are my favourite mythical creatures

and yeah

I had this teacher who told everybody in our class

we should definitely read these books

and I was like *nghh*

I found the first and second book on sale

when I was 14

and i was like .. ok maybe i'll check them out

maybe they're good

so I bought them

and it was the first time I ever bought a book by myself

so yeah

and I started it

and I fell in love

and I am still in love with this series

this series means soo much to me

and by the way

this first book was written by a 15 year old

and it is sooo good

and the world building is

really great

Reason Number 2

IS world building

the world building in here is beautiful

the world itself it's just ...

it is soo interesting

and so immersive

I can't tell you how amazing it is

the cultures

the differences between drawves and elves

I mean even if you already know that stuff

because Idk, because

of lord of the rings

or other series you've read

it is still a little different in here

with each book the world grows and grows even further

and it is just so beautiful

and I could like make 15 videos

each and every little place

described in this novel

and it is just soo GOOD

the third reason

are the characters (can I even english)

Eragon is out main protagonist

yeah he has this angsty

side to him but

but he is also very loyal

and kind

and his world view is

understandable

and he is only 15 (I think)

in the first novel

and it is so interesting to

see how he grows

from the first novel to the last one

and he is just one of my favourite main protagonists

to this day

i just love him

but also the other characters

BROM (I literally said Bron what even lol)

or my personal

favourite (swoon) Murtagh

which is like my first

ever book crush

hardcore book crush

omg

i love him so much

he is just amazing

the characters are sooo great

the character development is

amazing (told you you'll see it a lot lol)

i love Nasuada (actual bae)

she is like

one of my favourite female characters

ever!

she's amazing

I know I'm saying amazing

a lot in this

video (you think? lol) but

you have to believe me

these books are so great

it's not only that also

the names!

I love the names of the characters

Galbatorix, Arya

Eragon

Roran

I just *chuckles* i love them

I ... I ... omg

I am fangirling

again omg

I just need to

chill a little

Stasis Jii Stasis (look at me referencing Windwitch)

but anyway

the cultures are soo interesting

I can't tell you too much about it because it is kind of spoilery

but every character

and every story

has soo much depth

it is not just a two dimensional being

an evil entity

just to be evil

even the villain

its just *sighs*

I don't want to spoil it

but it is just

each and every character has

a reason for

everything they are doing

and that is just something that i LOVE

I hate it when there is just

an evil thing

because it is evil

to be evil

I *stutters* hmpf

Number 4

is

the villains

the villains in this story

are debatable

I mean

there are some villains that are def

villains you can't deny that

but you also

understand their

point of view too

and also

omg it is just

so sad

and so tragic

but also soo good

and than there are other characters

that are just your antiheros

kind of well

where you go omg

you poor thing

come here i want to

hug you and

help you

and stuff but

you can't

cause it is just fictional

and my heart breaks every time

and the last

reason

why you should read

these books

is the story

the story gets bigger and better

by each book

I mean yes

I have to say

that this series

suffers from second book syndrom

and it does

have a very slow pace

you tend to take time

to get through these

but

they are so good

they are so worth it (she says not biased at all)

I mean yes ok it is work

but nevertheless

the story is just very good

and you should defintely try it at least

especially if you love high fantasy

I'd say the first novel

is easier to get into

and the moment you are in it

it is very descriptive

in the beginning but that is 'cause

of the whole

world building

but afterwards

it gets easier and easier

to follow through

in the first book you just have one point of view

in the second there is another point of view added

which can throw you out of the story

sometimes

but that is why it suffers from the second book syndrom

but at the same time it makes sense

and

by the end of this one

it makes so much more sense

that there was a second point of view

and I absolutely love the

point of view

and it's just such an interesting character

and that character is just

omg

*help i need air*

i know some people who stopped

reading

this series because of the second book

but bare with me

you just have to get through this

especially the end the end is soo good

you can't stop!

I get a little worked up when it comes to this series (You think?)

the third book which is

kind of the thickest

but omg

it's so good

it was my favourite for

a long time

before I read the

last book

but it is so good I read

this

look at this

this is

in german it has

1000 pages

and I read this i think

in 3 days

that's how good it is

it's just omg

you find out soo much stuff in

this one

and it makes everything that happened

prior and every little plot hole

you thought you saw

in the previews books

it's just *stutters*

It's gone cause

everything is explained in this one

and than you think oh well

how the freaking heck

is this series gonna end

well than comes the last book in the series

which has one of the most

beautiful covers ever

by the way

and omg

this book .. i think

it has also 1000 pages in german

omg

I think i read this one in two weeks

or something

I definitely read it during university

because

I did not want this series to end so

i like

didn't read it for

the longest time

which was stupid

i know but

I just didn't want this series to end because it is one of my favourites

and i finally did .. omg this book

is amazing

I love this end!

the battle in this book

is one of my favourite battles

ever

maybe my favourite battle ever

the intensity (is this even a word)

everything that

built up and

everthing that was told

in the previews books

gets dealt with in this one

and it is just such amazingess

and omg Christopher Paolini please(!!!) write another book

not in this series

but something else

please!

anyways

yeah these were five reasons

why you should read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

it is one of my favourite series of all time

i totally get if you don't like it

because it is very slow pased

and it takes

it takes a lot of time to get through these

but at the same time

at least try

maybe even try the audio book

it is such a great story

and it is such a beautiful world

and omg

i love it soo much

but yeah if you have

read these books

please share your feels in the comments

cause i can talk about these

forever and ever

so yeah this is

the end of the video

hope you enjoyed it

and if you check them out

and if you think about reading the

please tell me down below

but yah

this is the end so

good bye, bye, bye

Derek Phillips' Crete Story - Duration: 1:35.

Hi, my name is Derek Phillips.

I've been with Crete for 10 years now.

I got started at a young age because my brother, at the time, was working night ops.

He was in third shift dispatch, and lured me into joining the second shift dispatch

team.

At the time I had very minimal knowledge of the trucking industry, other than driving

a 3-axle truck you know around the farm in small town western Nebraska.

It's been quite the learning experience, it's been a heck of a ride.

About two years after joining the night operations team, I was promoted to our night operations

manager which is basically managing a group of dispatchers and drivers over the holiday's,

the weekends, and nights.

After that, you know a couple years later I was promoted to our Lincoln Fleet Manager

where I manage drivers mainly in a 500 mile radius of our Lincoln, Nebraska terminal as

well as our office staff.

The majority of my day is spent solving problems from driver issues to equipment issues to

working with our in-house office personnel, our dispatch, the safety department, log department,

breakdown, shop, I mean you name it.

I'd say the best part of my job is that no day or phone call or interaction with the

drivers is ever the same.

If you happen to swing through Lincoln or are coming through and have a few minutes,

stop in and say hi.

Thanks!

Kaiser Karl Wants Peace - The Sixtus Affair I THE GREAT WAR Week 139 - Duration: 9:31.

We see battle after battle, all around the world, and yet no side can achieve victory.

The millions of men fighting are obviously affected by the war each day, but unlike earlier

wars, this war is total war and it also deeply affects every one of the people back home.

I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to the Great War.

Last week the world was stunned by a spontaneous revolution in Russia that toppled the Tsar

and then saw two rival factions vying for control.

British and Indian forces occupied Baghdad, a real blow to the Ottoman Empire, and in

the Balkans Austrian and Bulgarian forces began counter attacking the Toplice Rebellion.

Here's what followed.

The British continued advancing in the Middle East, taking Fallujah, Deltawa, and Sindia,

and also spent most of the week advancing in the west.

In fact, from the 17th to the 19th the British and French took 170 villages on the western

Front, including Bapaume, as the Germans abandoned the line from Andechy to Oise, which they'd

held for two years, and retreated to their Hindenburg Line.

The French were also advancing in Macedonia, capturing a mile of Bulgarian trenches and

1,200 prisoners North of Monastir the 18th and a few days later finally manage to free

Monastir, the current Serbian capital, from daily shelling.

And what of France's huge ally, Russia?

The new Provisional government announced that Russia would remain in the war, but there

were - as I said - two rival centers of government.

Prince Lvov, the new Prime Minister, urged active participation in the war, but in response,

the Petrograd Soviet appointed political commissars to all military units.

Their main task was to urge soldiers not to fight.

Also, in order to try to fix the constant shortage of food and supplies to the army,

all men over 43 years old were released from duty, shrinking the size of the army.

On the 22nd, Great Britain, France, the US, Romania, Switzerland, and Italy recognized

the provisional government of Russia.

The leadership of its army was uncertain, though, as this week the appointment of Grand

Duke Nikolai as commander in chief was annulled.

But there was a lot going on on other home fronts too.

Barrow-in-Furness lies on the west coast of England up near the Lake District and is a

fairly sleepy place, but during the war it was a major supplier of both ships and munitions

for Britain, thanks to the Vickers factory there.

Since they set up shop there in 1897, Vickers had never really had a smooth relationship

with the workforce, but things were in overdrive by now.

There wasn't enough housing for the workers so living standards had seriously fallen,

inflation was rampant, workers were expected to work longer hours, and there were even

tribunals to discipline those who were late or were seen as slackers.

Since munitions fell under the Defense of the Realm Act, punishments could be heavy.

Last June the workers had gone on strike to protest the "dilution" of labor, with

unskilled workers operating machines that had been for specialists earlier.

That strike lasted a week, but you could see that another walkout was kind of inevitable.

And it came on March 21st, 1917 when workers protested the managers' refusal to honor

a bonus scheme they had for finishing jobs on time, and against the arrest of union officials

in Manchester and Sheffield.

Soon, in Parliament, MPs were asking why the ministry of munitions isn't doing more to

help the women in Barrow who lost their jobs because the men went on strike.

You got this conversation between an MP and the Secretary of the Ministry of Munitions:

MP: "Is the Honourable Member aware that many of these women... have come as far as

Belfast... and they are no more responsible for what has now happened than if there had

been a breakdown of machinery, and are the women going to be stranded and neither the

company nor the Ministry accept responsibility for them?"

Secretary: "We should be creating a very severe precedent indeed if the government,

whenever a certain number of people were thrown out of employment as a result of the action

of another body of workpeople, were to relieve them of their distress."

MP: "I would like to ask whether these are the same women who the Honourable Member himself

said the other day had saved England during the crisis?"

Two weeks from now, the government announces that it would take action unless work started

again, including lifetime prison sentences for the strike leaders.

Work resumed, though there would be another strike in May for the same reason and the

government would not address the causes of the strike, but at least built new housing

estates, which actually did settle things down.

Something else happened this week away from the front, and it would have repercussions

down the line.

Okay, Karl had been Austro-Hungarian emperor for only a few months and two things about

him: he was at least interested in peace, and he didn't feel that Austria should always

act in concert with and subordinate to Germany, right?

His wife was Zita of Bourbon-Parma.

Her older brother was Sixtus, Prince of Bourbon-Parma.

Sixtus and his brother Xavier had joined the Belgian army when the war broke out.

They wanted to defend France but as members of a ruling house could not be French officers,

so they joined the Belgians.

Back in January, one or both of them had met their mother in Switzerland, and she had given

them a letter from Emperor Karl that detailed his willingness to make a separate peace between

Austria-Hungary and the Entente.

The princes agreed to the basic allied requirements for such a peace; Alsace-Lorraine returned

to the French, Belgium and Serbia restored as independent nations, and Constantinople

goes to Russia.

Karl wrote a letter on March 17th in which he generally agreed to these terms and it

was sent through Prince Sixtus to British King George and Prime Minister Lloyd George,

and French President Poincaré and Prime Minister Briand.

On March 23rd, Sixtus and Xavier met with Karl and Austrian Foreign Minister Count Czernin

to continue negotiations.

Karl wrote a letter that stated that he supported French claims to Alsace-Lorraine.

However, also back on the 17th, Briand and his cabinet had resigned in France, and Alexandre

Ribot replaced him.

Ribot had no real interest in a separate peace with Austria.

And none of these letters mentioned Italy anyhow, which was a pretty major component

of Austria's war.

And Italy had already said that in any peace a bunch of Austrian territory must go to Italy.

So next month Lloyd George and Poincaré meet with Italian Foreign Minister Sonnino and

Prime Minister Orlando.

Now, the former two did not tell the latter about Karl's correspondence, but asked how

Italy felt about lowering its demands.

The answer was a big fat no, which is odd because it seems the Italians didn't know

that Italian Army Chief of Staff Luigi Cadorna had, around now and apparently acting on orders

of the Italian King, let Austria know that though Italy still wanted the Trentino, they

were prepared to lower their demands.

Now, all of this was still secret; I'm just saying it now because it happened now and

will come back to seriously haunt Karl in the future.

But it was naïve to expect otherwise.

I mean, what he was doing was basically sending out feelers for abandoning his main ally Germany,

and even the territory he was willing to give up in France and Belgium, yeah, that was currently

held by the Germans, it's no real loss to him who has it.

He wasn't giving up a whole lot of his empire.

We'll see this explode in the future.

If Karl was thinking about getting out of the war, one country was thinking about joining

it.

They might not have much of a choice, as the German submarine assaults continued.

On the 18th, three American ships were sunk, and on the 23rd another.

U.S. President Woodrow Wilson met with his cabinet and asked their opinion.

To a man, they wanted war with Germany.

Also this week, the French battleship Danton was torpedoed in the Mediterranean with 296

lives lost, and the British hospital ship Asturias was torpedoed off the British coast

without warning and managed to run aground instead of sinking.

31 people were killed.

And that was the week, Allied advances in the west, the Balkans, and the Middle East,

uncertainty in Russia, civilian deaths at sea, a munitions strike in Britain, and a

naïve emperor betraying his ally.

Well, you gotta call it that, right?

I mean, even though there was basically zero chance of that peace happening, it's still

pretty serious.

What would Germany say when they found out?

German casualties for the war up to the end of February (Chronology) are reported at 4,148,163.

Over four million men killed, wounded, or just plain missing, and let's not forget

the starvation conditions now at home in Germany.

And Karl wanted to propose an unacceptable separate peace?

For a war that his empire initially declared?

That's pretty stupid.

But what can you expect?

Franz Joseph I, you can click right here for that.

1999-2004 Mustang GT Professional Products Satin Typhoon Intake Manifold Review - Duration: 4:11.

Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today, I'm bringing you a detailed overview and installation of the Professional Products

Satin Typhoon Intake Manifold available for all 1999 and 2004 Mustang GTs.

So in this video, I'll be going over the performance gains, functionality, and of course, benefits

you can expect when it comes to this intake manifold from Professional Products, as well

as all the materials and construction that goes into it.

I'll top the video off with the installation, which I'll let you know upfront here, guys,

will get a full three outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

So the Professional Products Satin Typhoon Intake Manifold will be for any 1999 to 2004

Mustang GT owner who might be looking to get some improvements as far as airflow is concerned,

which of course, we all know airflow in a two-valve 4.6 will equal more power.

So when it comes to this particular product compared to some of the other option, this

will allow you to get power as a direct bolt-on upgrade from the factory option to allow you

to pull in more airflow, which of course, in turn, we all know leads to more power.

Now the two-valve 4.6 liter option does have a couple of other ones as far as, you know,

a direct OE style replacements.

This one of course is compatible with all stock engine components such as the alternator,

pulleys, and other things as well, whereas some of the other ones really can't boast

that fact.

So this option is offered in a three-piece kit which is perfect for the guys out there

looking to fine tune and [inaudible 00:01:19] in order to make sure you get bigger gains

and bigger airflows.

That'll definitely maximize the performance.

Now Professional Products has claimed to gain 20 rear wheel horsepower without any work

done to it.

Now, in my opinion that's a little bit generous for a stock naturally aspirated engine, but

for the guys out there looking to do that work, you can definitely see that as it is

in the realm of possibilities.

Now I'm taking a look at this myself, it doesn't have the best castings and all that.

Some guys have found that it might be a little clogged up in some places and cleaning it

up would definitely do the trick.

But it is, like I said, one of the options that is a direct bolt-on that doesn't require

any work.

If you're running a bit of boost, I would recommend getting a fine-tune reported job

going on on this option just to get a little bit more out of it.

Now since we're on the notion of materials and construction, it has a satin powder-coated

finish which gives it a friendly OEM-style look, something that doesn't really scream

aftermarket, but if that is exactly what you're looking for, then they do have the exact same

product in a polished finished which gives it a mirror-like shine.

Some guys might think that's a little bit tacky, but for some guys out there, you might

be looking for that really big show car appearance.

As far as the pricing is concerned, this one in particular comes in right around the $450

mark for the satin option.

The polished option might be running you a little bit more since it is a bit more flashy.

Now in my personal opinion, it is to be expected the price tag isn't really out of the realm

of, you know, the realistic expectations as far as intake manifolds are concerned, but

with all the reviews that I've seen myself and all the research I've done, the castings

coulda been a little bit better for the price tag.

But again, either way, it's a direct bolt and go, so it's up to you on how much you

would like to spend and if you like to pick something up that you might wanna do a little

bit more work to in order to get it to be a top notch maximum potential.

Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning,

this one will get a full three outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter, something

that will require you to have some mechanical expertise on deck if you don't have them yourselves.

Now, as far as tools are concerned, it will test the entire tool box here and take about

three to four hours worth of your time in the driveway at home if you're tackling it

yourself.

No shame handing it over to a professional if you don't wanna get this one done yourself

just to make sure it's done properly.

Now as far as hardware's concerned, it's all included for you in the kit, but I do wanna

point out the stock manifold bolts are not going to be long enough to work with the Typhoon,

so you will have to use the options that are included in the kit for you.

The thermostat housing bolts, however, are gonna be just fine to use, so if you wanna

use your stock bolts, you can go ahead and do so.

Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 1999 to 2004 two-valve 4.6 liter

GT Mustang, you might be looking for a way to get a bigger bolt-on mod that it's just

going to increase your airflow in order to get some more power to the wheels.

Now if that's something you might be looking for, an aftermarket intake manifold is definitely

a place to go, in which case the Performance Products Satin Typhoon Intake Manifold is

available right here at americanmuscle.com.
