Scenery Planet - Skull Cliff Island - Reportaje - SUBTITLES AVAILABLE - Duration: 11:03.

Hi, friends of Scenery Planet!

As you already know, during our reports we usually visit all sorts of singular spots,

and today we plowed the tides of scenography to present you this spectacular theme set

that recreates part of a free pirate port.

It combines realistic elements with some fantasy touches inspired in true classics of the genre

such as the Pirates of the Caribbean saga or the legendary Monkey Island.

It is a set specially developed for introductory and demo games of the skirmish game Freebooters Fate

in events, conferences, shops, etc.

Undoubtedly, it will provide a sensational background so that those first experiences with this game

are something truly unique and memorable.

It is a small board in terms of dimensions, but it is great in fun and detail.

We have a lot to tell you about it, so prepare for boarding and let's see in depth!

As we already mentioned, this game board is going to travel long kilometers

to be introduced at events, conferences, etc. so the corresponding transport boxes were essential.

In this case, the customer was looking for the simplest and most practical solution

without decoration or special outer finishes,

so we built these 2 hard boxes with 10 mm thick plywood so they'll be light but strong.

This box has 4 stainless steel clasps, 2 on each side.

We just need to open the clasps and remove the top part vertically to reveal the scenery.

Once the lid is removed, you can see that the scenery rests on the bottom of the boxes.

Here we have an empty safety perimeter to prevent rubbing or damage of the inner part.

The modules will always remain in place

thanks to a series of inner blocks that we put in place; let's take a look.

They prevent involuntary movement during transport and so on.

Let's release the modules and we will take a closer look right away.

Although the dimensions of this game board are quite small, it is very useful that it can be divided in two parts.

Imagine the size the flight case would have to be one-piece alone.

It would be too bulky and practically impossible to move by one person alone.

The divisible solution has pros not just when moving it, fitting it in the car and so on,

but also to store it since we can pile up the boxes and save room.

All right. The modules are built on 10 mm thick plywood with lower frame for added strength,

flawless and perfectly trimmed sides. As usual, it incorporates the tongue and groove joint system

that prevents involuntary movement during the game once joined.

As you can see, the modules fit perfectly and all the elements they incorporate

are directly fixed on the surface of the modules to save time assembling and disassembling

during the events and conferences when the board will be used.

The set has a total dimension of 80 x 80 cm, more than enough for those introductory games

or first advanced skirmish games that use few models such as Freebooter's Fate.

Seeking to capture all the essence of the pirate theme, in this set we have combined in very little space

all the essential elements of the genre and we worked hard so that, once combined,

the final result will not only very attractive visually but also practical and fun when it comes to playing.

So, let's take a closer look while we discuss it using some models

so that you have an adequate reference of the scale at all times.

We start two of the sides of the board with the sea in order to reinforce the island setting as much as possible.

There are different methods to recreate seawaters, some pretty realistic.

But in this case, instead of using resin effects of translucent waters, we preferred to do it by hand

and paint it conventionally in order to achieve a more forced finish in terms of texture

that will enhance the fantasy theme of the set.

We have different coastal areas; let's take a look at them.

Here we find a small sand beach with waves breaking gently on the shore.

Next we have a great rock formation at different levels with a steep top.

Then we find this natural arc, possibly made by the water that opens to this cliff and enters the sea.

It's been modeled as a dignified skull.

To reinforce the contrast between realism and fantasy of the set,

we have worked more than usual on the rock formation, which is modeled by hand in epoxy putty

to achieve a very realistic finish, with many corners and angled edges.

It contrasts in a very effective way with the fantastic shape of the skull.

Under the natural arch we find a small sand area and shallow waters

that give way to the dock itself and that we will see more closely right away.

After crossing the cliff we find the dock and open deeper waters with stronger waves,

which is what allows the boats to dock on this side of the island.

Naturally, the pirate theme runs around ships, so we had to include one in this project

so that the scenery would be truly evocative.

From the beginning, it was clear to us that the ship would be one of the elements

with more visual weight on the set and we needed a finish quality in accordance with that prominence.

We met the difficulty that the classic artillery galleon was practically impossible

if we wanted to keep an adequate scale with the models in such a small space.

On the other hand, expressly designing and building such a galleon

would take so many hours that would make the budget to rocket to a price of a film scenery.

As a compromise solution, we opted for building the ship with wood from a model ship set

that is more feasible in terms of scale than the classic galleon full of cannons

and that could still work aesthetically with the concept.

This solution allows us to bring realism to the set with a magnificent boat

that also includes all the elements to make it credible: ropes, sails, etc.,

and with a reasonable scale for the miniatures.

Incidentally, preparing this boat from beginning to end using the prefab kit

that is practically assembled board by board, besides setting the ropes and painting,

took about 250 hours of work at a professional pace.

Although you can see that the final result is sensational

and makes it worthy spending on elements as essential and detailed as this one.

The ship gives way to the recreation of a stone dock, finished with realistic dampness and dirt effects

and that is packed with wooden boxes and barrels

that are being unloaded from the galleon after the last looting.

It has enough room to place our models comfortably,

which will be able to take advantage of the coverage offered by all this cargo.

At one of the ends we find a staircase that connects with this sand area at the foot of the cliff

and in the central area we have another small stairway that leads to the city center.

Another classic element of pirate imagery is the pirate tavern,

typical scene of drunken brawls to the tune of the violin.

We also wanted to capture that look in this project so we included some tumbledown buildings

of pre-colonial English times that may suggest the beginning of a bigger settlement.

We tried to make the buildings look as different as possible within this theme,

suggesting that they are constantly and roughly repaired, remodeled and enlarged by their inhabitants.

We also have a smaller house in ruins that could have been devoured by the flames

or by a cannon shoot from the imperial navy and nobody bothered to repair.

At a playable level, the buildings create a small paved square that's ideal for the clashes between our models.

The buildings also include raised wooden walkways and ropes and stairs in different places,

ideal to place our shooters, organize ambushes or flee from combat if things turn sour.

We have included more accessories to offer additional coverage and visually complete the set.

In order to recreate the tropical island environment, the vegetation reaches the limit of the houses itself.

We included as many palm trees as possible without compromising playability,

so we achieved a good contrast of colors and elements while keeping practical open spaces for playing.

At the exit of the village we have this soft slope with palms, grass areas and some paths

that lead to the rock formation and the clear beach that we saw first.

Undoubtedly, it can be the scene of fierce combats and silent night landings.

Same as in previous reports, individualized airbrushing work for vegetation

allows us to achieve a final result with bright and effective color contrasts.

All this attention to detail during the different stages of project design and execution

is one of the things that guarantee that with Scenery Planet

your game board will look as spectacular as this one that we just saw.

Remember that we, at Scenery Planet, develop each project especially for each one of you,

based on your preferences and needs so that the final result meets all your expectations

both at aesthetic as well as playable level.

In this regard, assignments as memorable as this are just an example

of what we at Scenery Planet put within your reach. You know that if you can imagine it, we can build it for you.

In our Facebook page you will be able to find other reports and picture galleries

covering some of our other projects; don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss a thing.

That's all, Folks! As usual, we hope you enjoyed. See you soon at Scenery Planet!

Inori on his absence: "I feel like I'm getting rejected by my team... I just want to prove myself." - Duration: 5:18.

Yeah, I was like straight from solo queue.

So solo queue as a jungler, like... it's frustrating.

I feel like every jungler kind of goes through a toxic phase as a jungler in solo queue.

Because it's like everyone demands so much from you.

And I was just not having any of their shit, so I would just flame them back.

It was totally not appropriate--like, I shouldn't have done it.

But it's just something in the past.

And I had a bad reputation because I would flame people in solo queue.

I kind of dropped that once I realized... as I got older, I kind of matured, and I saw

how immature I was before.

I kind of took, like, a new approach to things.

Like, in the past few years, I've kind of matured, and I wanted to grow more as a person,

and I think it's been helping me a lot.

Does everyone have to go through that immaturity phase in order to become mature?

I think because we spend so much time on the computer, we don't really get the same social

skills that other people get.

So a lot of times, we're not going through the proper maturity levels, and we're not

in the right environment.

So like when you're in solo queue environment, you kind of like adapt to your own environment.

I didn't really have someone to guide me.

I was kind of on my own, so I got really bad habits.

I don't think anyone should be toxic.

I think if people when they get older, they realize how stupid it was to flame someone

in a game.

And I hope more people kind of get aware and stop being toxic.

Because I want to make NA less toxic in general, because I think it's just so bad right now.

I like the fun public service announcement.

Yeah, make NA great again.

I think I kind of have my ego inflated a lot.

Because after the TSM series, there's so much shit going on; like, people hype you up so

much.

But at the same time, as much as they hype you up, they'll break you down.

I came to realize over the few weeks like they just want to build this story, and it's

not even hard for them to break it down.

I feel like I've been broken down so far, and like I've really been humbled down.

I take it as a good experience because it's nice to have it early on.

And I kind of took the realization that, you know, I need to play for myself, my team,

my org, like I can't play for the fans, I can't play for all the--you know like "Inori's

Rengar blah blah blah" shit.

I can't play for that.

That's the wrong mentality, because it's like, if I expect that kind of praise and if I get

the opposite, it will just tear me apart, and I need to like be able to handle like

the praise and the shit talk.

So I've just come to a passive approach to things.

The more you're invested into something, the more you expect out of the outcome.

I'm trying not to invest too much into everything.

I'm trying to take like a Buddhist approach: just free my mind and go slow.

I think one of the activities for P1--we have team H1Z1 games.

Have you played?

Yeah.

So we just group up as five, and we drop together, and we just kind of like...

It's like team bonding for us.

We all just play together and like it's all for one and one for all, so if one of us dies,

we just remake.

So it's pretty fun.

Yeah, I feel like maybe this is a good time to talk about it, because I don't really talk

to my fans too much about it, and maybe this will help now.

I had a lot of stuff going on this new split, new team, new environment.

I was building up so much stress, and I didn't have a good way to deal with it.

We were moving a lot of stuff to another house.

And like I had a lot of built up stress and then shit happened.

And even like the week before my mother--in Vancouver, it was snowing a lot.

Like it snows a lot up there, and like I think my Mom slipped on ice, and she broke her leg.

She had to sit on the couch for the whole month.

I try not to let that get to me but like I'm pretty sure it just added to all the stress

and all the stuff.

I feel like I need to just reset and go back and see my mom and make sure she's like OK.

She was going through surgery too.

And yeah I kind of got what I needed.

I think she was really happy to see me, because I don't get to see her that much, and I was

happy to see she was doing well, and it kind of cleared my mind.

And like I was ready to go back and like really try my best.

But right now, I kind of feel like I'm getting rejected from my team.

Because there's a certain player who doesn't want to play with me, which is kind of silly.

But yeah, I just want to play, I just want to win.

I love P1 as an org and all the people who work with us, and it's just kind of sad that

I can't get the opportunity to play again.

I know I can prove myself, and I've come back a lot better and stronger, so I kind of just

want to get on stage and prove myself.

What do you think it's going to take to be able to have the opportunity to mend that

relationship and get back in?

I think I just have to earn the respect of my teammates again.

I think they respect me, but I think I've made some questionable decisions like the

first few weeks.

I've explained myself afterwards.

But still, it's like you've got to live with the decisions you make.

And it wasn't anything crazy.

It was just, like, I could have been a better teammate to them.

And I want to be the best teammate that I can be going forward.

So I'm happy going next week; I just want to try really hard to prove myself again.

I'm sorry for the fans because I haven't really updated them, and I pretty sure everyone is

confused, like, what's going on in P1.

But it's just like--I felt like I wasn't ready to really come out and talk to everyone about

it, because I've tried to keep my personal stuff to me, myself.

But I feel like maybe holding it in is never as good, so I'm trying to let everyone know

now.

The GCN Cycle Courier Challenge - Duration: 11:44.

- Is the Tour de France,

or the Olympics,

really the ultimate test for bikes?

We're not so sure that they are.

Instead, we think the ultimate test might actually be

the city streets that we ride

on a daily basis.

So, with that in mind,

what is the best type of bike for city riding?

What is the ultimate bike, in fact?

- Hm.

To find out,

for once we're actually gonna do some work.

We're gonna be cycle couriers

riding

for Deliveroo.

- That's right.

Matt is gonna be making his deliveries

aboard his cutting-edge road bike.

Looking cool, aerodynamic,

and perfectly at home as a natural ex-racer.

Me, however, I'm gonna be riding my Cyclocross bike.

I'm banking on it being a little bit more comfortable,

a little bit more forgiving,

and I think

even more fun.

And then Dan,

seriously mate, where is Dan?

- I don't know.

Found a

backpack and everything.

- [TV Voice] 20!

That's it, it's coming back.

15.

(light upbeat music)

- Hey Dan!

What are you doing?

You're supposed to be riding a town bike.

- Sorry, I was

I was just about to do some extra training first.

- I don't know what you're thinking, mate,

but you're not gonna need any extra training today.

(smooth music with heavy beat)

- [Simon] How is this all gonna work, then?

How do you become a delivery rider?

Well, in this case we signed up 48 hours ago,

had a brief interview and training session,

then we downloaded the Deliveroo app.

We say when we're wanting to ride

and then Deliveroo will send us jobs.

Pick up food or drink,

deliver it to customers,

simple as that.

- Oh, and we get paid.

Per delivery.

So you boys ready to get started?

- Yeah, ready. - We certainly are.

- [Simon] Okay.

- [Dan] Doesn't work without.

- You on yet?

- I have!

It's just come through.

Me first one.

- Good luck, mate. - See ya, lads.

Hey, hey! - Super cool.

- See if I can clip in.

First time, here we go!

- [Simon] Matt is first up,

riding his Canyon Aeroad Disc.

He is, it has to be said, at a bit of a disadvantage.

Nothing to do with his bike, of course.

It's the fact that he doesn't really know where he's going.

- My first

collection

from Zizzi's in Clifton.

It's a big pizza order.

Let's do this.

For this type of riding,

I'm really glad

I've got to use

this road bike, because

there's a lot of ground to cover today.

And also what you've got to bear in mind,

is that on a given shift,

a Deliveroo rider

can cover upwards

of 50kms.

And yes,

it might seem a little bit weird

that I'm riding a bike

that's crafted for aerodynamics,

and I've got

a big rucksack

on my back

but I am still gonna be cutting through the air

far more efficiently.

And considerably more efficiently than Simon

and loads more than Dan.

(light rock music)

Finally got out.

Packed my pizzas,

four pizzas on board,

and now ready to roll.

(light rock music)

- Got one.

- Alright mate, good luck.

- I'll put it on my handlebars later.

- Yeah.

You need to see where you're going first.

- [Simon] And Dan's off,

wearing his special city riding outfit

and making the most of his Deliveroo jacket.

On paper, should be looking pretty cool.

He's riding his Canyon Urban bike with flat handlebar,

more upright position, disc brakes, a Conti drive system

belt drive, but with fast rolling tyres.

- Bikes like this are really quite nippy and versatile.

Kinda feels like you're on a mountain bike,

but it is, of course, much easier to ride on the road.

Which is a good thing, because I haven't exactly made

life easy for myself

by opting for skinny jeans.

Although I am

looking good.

Right, first pick up.

Three pizzas, then a 10 minute ride

to destination.

Okay, I've arrived.

Nice and promptly.

(quiet jazz music)

Amateur.

Didn't see there was a non-revolving door on the way in.

Alright, anyway, success.

See you on the road.

- Right.

I'm on.

(dance club music)

And that

leaves me.

I'm riding my Trek Crockett Cyclocross bike.

I've cleaned a weekend's worth of mud off it,

and I fitted some slightly faster rolling tyres on it.

But I still want to leave

a little bit of off-road versatility.

After all,

cities

aren't just about roads.

- This bike

is normally super comfortable.

But the sat nav keeps sending me down the most awful roads.

I mean, I've already got slightly wider tyres on,

but really?

More cobbles?

Here I am.

I have arrived

with the pizzas, hopefully with the toppings

absolutely perfecto.

Hey!

It's a pizza bazookaaaaaa!

(family laughing)

Hey oh,

do you wanna quick,

quick check of the toppings?

Perfect.

- [Mom] Boy, looks good.

- [Matt] You couldn't make that up.

Enjoy your food.

- Thank you. - We will do.

- And thanks for being my first ever Deliveroo customers.

Cheers guys! (family cheering)

Cheerio.

Hey, hey.

- One thing I might change

I quite like

the clipless pedals from my road bike.

It's a lot hillier in Britain than I thought it was.

Picking up some speed.

Ow.

My nose.

Tempted to get a mineral water now to be honest.

Here we are.

Oh, waving.

Looking forward to their pizza, I think.

- [Family] Woo!

- There we go.

Hello.

Right.

This is my first-ever delivery.

- Was it? - Wow.

- Hopefully that's still warm.

There you go. - What do you say?

- [Kids] Thank you!

- [Dan] Thank you.

Enjoy it.

- [Kids] Bye!

- [Dan] Bye!

(quiet, fast dance music)

- Right, then.

One katsu chicken curry

on the way.

Tell you what, I feel a real sense of responsibility.

I have someone's dinner,

their actual food,

inside this bag.

I don't think I've ever gonna have ridden so carefully

before in my life.

I'm very glad of bigger tyres,

having a curry on my back.

Any kind of

comfort

and suspension is a good thing.

Think of the curry, think of the curry.

Think of the curry.

Think of the curry.

- Right.

Second delivery completed,

and I have to say,

I really quite enjoy this.

It is a very different experience

riding a bike like this,

but

I can still cover vast distances

and I can still ride as hard as I like.

Which might not be actually quite as hard as I would like

given current fitness level, but you know what I mean.

The good thing is, though, is that I can easily sit up,

look around and scan any hazards that might be coming up,

and you do feel a little bit more confident in traffic

on a bike like this,

which might not be a consideration

if you're a life-long cyclist.

But if you just got into it,

and it's your first time riding around cities,

that might well be a consideration.

- I don't think he's having quite as much fun as I am,

actually, although let it be said I'm certainly not

riding off road

with someone's dinner on my back.

That doesn't seem quite right.

But, what I love is the fact that my choice of bike

doesn't limit my choice of route.

It does certainly help

that I know this city like the back of my hand.

I know the shortcuts and I know the most fun places to ride.

But a Cyclocross bike

helps me

to get there.

And, yeah, I could've chosen a mountain bike

but a Cross bike,

is definitely

more responsive

and it's a little bit more nimble.

It's certainly more efficient

when you're logging

some serious kilometers.

And compared to a road bike,

I really value the fact

that the position here

is just

a little bit more upright.

So it really helps your peripheral vision.

Makes you

just feel a little bit more confident as well,

on the bike.

Now I said that I know Bristol quite well.

And that means it's kind of my choice

to ride up this

infamous

17% gradient.

Good opportunity to get in a little bit of extra

training, isn't it?

With a curry on my back.

Think of the curry.

Think of the curry.

Think of the curry.

Speed bump!

Think of the curry.

Where are we?

Oh, here we go.

(quiet, upbeat music)

Hey.

- Hey you, how're you doing?

- Alright.

Katsu chicken curry?

- Yeah, fantastic.

- Alrighty.

Here we go.

Alright.

Cool man.

- Thanks very much.

- Alright, no worries.

Did you want a selfie or anything?

- Uh, no, no you're alright.

- Alright, cool.

- Bye.

- See ya.

- GCN fans.

- Hey!

(Simon sighs)

- Doing good?

- [Simon] Alright, yeah.

Good, very good. - That was a

proper day's work, isn't it?

- It was, but that was good fun.

That was good fun.

- It certainly was.

- What are we thinkin' then?

The best bike for riding around the city?

Road, city, or cross?

- Well, I was definitely glad of my road bike,

but I'm pretty sure

those city streets take their toll far more

than country roads.

- [Dan] Yeah.

- And as nice as it was, and as easy as it was to ride,

I'd recommend maybe something

a little bit cheaper, considering you're gonna be locking

up on numerous occasions during the shift.

And also, I think, I'd like just a bit more comfort

as well, perhaps.

- Yeah, you see I wonder

whether the Cross bike could be a winner

for that exact reasons.

Those big tyres do give you an awful lot more cushioning

and yet, with the knobbles on, they roll slower.

But put big, fat slicks on and I think I'm gonna be rolling

just as fast as you are,

and yet, admittedly, with slick tyres,

I couldn't take some of my

alternate routes.

But I think the novelty of those is going to wear off

pretty quickly.

- I think you should hold your horses there, Si,

because I think my city bike was pretty much the ultimate.

It was light, nimble and agile at negotiating

junctions - Bit like you.

and traffic, yeah, very much like me.

I'd probably change a couple of things next time.

I would take a lock.

And I'd also wear some different clothing.

I'm suffering.

If you haven't yet subscribed to the GCN,

please do so by clicking on the globe.

And we did a challenge, last year, didn't we?

In 2016, around the city of London.

You can find that video

in the bottom corner, just down there.

- Or, for how to ride in a city,

you can click just down here.

HACKLOG 1x07 - What is a VPN, VPN types and how to choose VPN (Tutorial Anonymous Internet Linux) - Duration: 19:02.

Until now we have seen how an address IP can be a very dangerous track

to leave when browsing the web; any server in this world is able

to log and store a visitor's IP address and associate it with any actions he performs.

Hide an IP Address (in computer jargon, spoof an IP) is not enough to cover up

the activities of an Internet user in the network: just think that any request not

encrypted can be monitored not only by governments but also by the ISP (Internet Service

Providers, or the network providers), but also by other services and malicious

of any type.

We have just introduced the HTTPS protocol, the new way in which computers are starting

to communicate within the web. encryption Data is having an increasingly important role

IT ecosystem and protocols sure they are replacing the weaker ones

(SSH -> Telnet, SFTP -> FTP, HTTPS -> HTTP and so on). So, unless the program

we use or proxy to which we are doing reliance are not specifically encrypted,

all our operations within Internet are easily monitored.

A note pertaining to navigation WWW: if privacy and anonymity are your priorities

forget forever Google and related and point to the search engines that there

monitor as StartPage or DuckDuckGo. Because?

Take for example Youtube. Youtube is a service purchased and operated by Google

and Google, we know, track anything. Youtube takes note of what your IP and

which video you are viewing, then throws down a user profile called fingerprint and knows

already know what you like to see next or maybe buy while you visit websites with Google

Adwords. A vicious circle.

We have seen how the proxies are tools votes but due to a series of problems

they can not guarantee us the right balance between safety and speed. I'll tell you more:

navigate with an open proxy is now virtually impossible, as well as insecure! Rates of

incredible latency and sudden down make it unusable for longer operations

of 5 minutes! Many believe that the VPN Proxies are the future. Is it true? Let's go

to find out.

VPN (short for Virtual Private Networks) are the "tunnel" encrypted that, exactly

as proxies, perform a liaison between clients and servers; This means that all traffic

Internet goes through this encrypted tunnel, preventing anyone to monitor the connection.

VPNs are originally designed to create a computer connected via LAN

Internet, just like a physical network, but did not address all of the costs involved

(Localization of the devices, connections physical etc ...) and with all the precautions

Safety of the case as Firewall, Proxy and so on. Using a VPN we will not

nor worry of finding working lists or to find specific types of protocols:

all traffic that travels over a VPN is transmitted and encrypted with quality standards

normally guaranteed to at least 128 bits.

The main advantage compared to a proxy is the high reactivity that the VPN often

guarantees; the architecture of such infrastructure and the geolocation server allows

to optimize the requests to the Internet network; also you do not need to reconfigure browser

and tools to be anonymous as tunneling - Generally - it is carried out throughout

the system.

In the VPN market we can define at least three types of VPN: VPN Trusted, Secure VPN and

Hybrid VPN. In this chapter we will discuss the

Secure VPN as the Trusted require Special contracts with ISPs and are not

easily applicable in public reality: the latter are in fact almost think

exclusively for corporate networks where It must ensure that the information arrives

always to the recipient.

The Hybrid are the union of the Trusted and Secure, and since we will not talk of

first, also we will exclude the latter. it that actually determines the quality of

security of a VPN - besides of course the policy and the stability of services that we will see

at the end of chapter - are both the types of protocols provided, both the safety of the covered keys.

Often not enough to speak of VPN to be sure: for example, until a few years ago

known VPN Ipredator providers only offered connectivity via PPTP: This

protocol type was already under suspicion of not 100% sure as decommissioned

from Microsoft (who invented and patented) and we are almost sure that espionage

government is already able to crackarlo in a short time. This is one of many examples

we have highlighted but we see the protocols one by one and pull the money on their characteristics

and quality.

PPTP (acronym for Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol) was developed by

Microsoft for creating VPN corporate networks via the telephone dial-up connection.

It is a protocol designed exclusively for VPN and generally relies on MS-CHAP

for handling authentication. being It was for years a very popular tool

today is easily installed (or even pre-installed) at any device on

market and is also very rapid because It requires few resources for its operation.

PPTP, which can only support based 128-bit keys, began to yield

the vulnerability shots enough to force in 2012 Microsoft to declare it unsafe,

although the latter had released dozens of patches to ensure the situation.

This protocol is now considered insecure and surely already it violated the NSA but

useful for low-latency activities like gaming online, torrent, streaming etc ...

L2TP (short for Layer 2 Tunnel Protocol) It is a type of VPN protocol that basic does not

It provides no data security; this is why it is often accompanied

from a suite called IPsec. L2TP / IPsec It is then a mix of tunneling protocol

and already implemented in encryption systems Operating the latest generation, allowing

so easy configuration via clients and good overall speed.

Currently no known vulnerabilities relatively severe for this protocol

so I can recommend it to you if you want to keep a good level of privacy and security, however,

research conducted by two experts implies that the NSA is working diligently to

violate it.

Although this has not yet been tried, some sources confirm that IPsec is one

the main targets of the NSA and that theoretically an attack would be possible.

However, L2TP / IPsec provides encapsulation of the data in two steps with encryption keys

to 256 bits, making it technically facts slower than PPTP but thanks to the support

implemented in the kernel multi-threading latest generation allows you to encrypt and decrypt

exploiting the architecture of calculation of multi-core processors.

The only slight flaw in this protocol resides in the fact that the default L2TP

traveling on UDP port 500: the latter It is often blocked by the firewall business

and forces to carry out port-forwarding of routers and access points more sophisticated

(Raising questions about the browsing species in open networks).

With OpenVPN means a opensource software specifically designed to create encrypted tunnels

between two computer systems and that exploits cryptographic protocols based on SSL / TLS

and the OpenSSL library. The fact of being totally open warrant to this system

proper transparency to regard it as the most reliable and secure solution; currently,

there are very few risks that a spy agency government manages to violate it.

Its open nature makes it a product extremely configurable allowing us

to use it on any door without making port-forwarding (using eg

Also TCP port 443 to meet demands an HTTP over SSL) on the device

for your network. The library that uses (OpenSSL) can make use of different ciphers (such as Blowfish,

AES, DES, etc ...) however most of VPN providers make almost exclusive use

cipher AES or Blowfish. The latter, based 128 bits, is the cipher default

present in OpenVPN.

AES cipher is instead a relatively new and it is currently used by several governments

world to protect their data: being able to handle 128-bit blocks can

manipulate large information up to 1GB, unlike Blowfish that being based

64-bit it can only handle half. Compared to the IPsec protocol it turns out to be

much less fast and this can be deleterious species in those devices that do not

They have a lot of computing power: the cause of this slowness is the absence of a

native support for multi-threading then It does not allow to exploit the CPU of the new

generation on the market. Although it is not a de-facto standard as

previous PPTP and L2TP / IPsec, the market VPN provider has received with joy OpenVPN

and the developer community has released the client for all major Operating Systems,

including mobile devices.

(SSTP stands for Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol) is a tunneling protocol introduced

by Microsoft and native to all versions Windows from Vista onwards, while it is provided

but not pre-installed in Linux-based systems and BSD. At the moment there are no plans

reliable for the mobile world as well as for the more famous (except router firmware

Router-OS, currently the only system Operational for router that supports it).

As with OpenVPN makes use of cryptography based SSLv3 thus allowing the use of

encrypted tunnel even behind secure networks firewall; SSTP can be

used in conjunction with the authentication Winlogon or smartcard. He is currently the

security protocol used in the cloud Microsoft called Windows Azure. Unlike

OpenVPN is however a closed protocol and the PRISM scandal that has seen together

Microsoft and NSA is certainly no sleep quiet.

Well at this point we pull the money: what kind of VPN does for you? Well personally I

I feel to recommend a OpenVPN as it gathers all the features

we look for in a VPN, namely the best compromise between speed, security

and transparency of development. The only small problem will result in greater difficulty

respect to the installation and use other (as it is not present a function

built-in in almost any Operating System) However, every society in most

cases provides sufficient documentation to solve all the problems in the setup and

in the days to come. L2TP / IPsec is also very popular and unless you live in

more complete paranoia, ensures excellent speed and good overall safety.

Honestly I would advise against PPTP and SSTP: the first is definitely outdated and

risk doing more harm than good, the second It is better suited to the corporate world that does not

anonymity.

Arrived at this point it would be appropriate make yet another list of best online VPN.

But, as we have already done for the proxy, we'll just give directions on what

VPN is the right one for you based on the characteristics We are looking for, then kick you down a list

the most popular VPN with an overall summary.

Maybe you'll be asked: VPNs are free or paid? The answer is both, however,

I want to clarify that from here on out I will discuss only VPN paid. Because?

Some of the best VPN services as HideMyAss, NordVPN ExpressVPN offer or something like

more than 1000 servers located throughout the world. And think, these cost servers! Coast

keep them, replacing them costs when they break, manage costs. And unless you do not believe

which in this world is full of benefactors that they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars

per month to keep them do not trust the VPN Free!

But how do you earn a VPN? Simply may sell your information. I'm not talking

usernames and passwords (even if it is not said!) but of real honeypot used for

making statistical and sell them to the highest bidders.

Once you're in the circuit you are part of the Virtual network, then automatically become

"Accomplice" of the network; this means not only your Internet goes slower

(This was obvious), but you can end up the "tail end" and be the

responsible for a practice to be incorrect other users.

This is a practice much in vogue in the world of free proxy as in that of the free vpn.

Adware present in the Free VPN can either be installed along with the client

be shown during navigation manipulating the source of the Web pages you're going to

display.

When you purchase a service protected by six a document that will automatically accept both

you that the selling company: This document is called Terms and Conditions of Use which,

together with the Privacy Policy, form the document legal that establishes the relationship between the two.

In the case of Free VPN these documents are often confused and being free you

think: oh well, who cares as long as it's free! In fact, as we will see shortly the ToS and

Privacy are of paramount importance for have a quality VPN that guarantees

efficiency and safety in navigation.

Now you understand that those spending € 9 per month (More Euros Euros less) can make a real

difference?

The logs are files that are generated for each activity carried out within

of a computer system: in the case of VPN, the log can store information

such as IP, data access, and other information that are not encrypted before the handshake

(Which will lead to tunneling real and then the total encryption).

If you're choosing a VPN logless not limit the advertising slogan, but controls the Privacy

Policy declared by the provider.

Imagine you are a business owner VPN provider, and in the middle of the night you

knocks on the FBI (or the CIA, the police or who I think) with a search warrant of

Data of your server. Are you to do the champion of justice and defend

a stranger on the other end of world has started playing with computers

a corporation? The answer, needless to say, it is of course not! there is no

VPN providers that would risk years in prison for you. There is no benefactor of this

Typically, therefore always remember that the provider always does its interests and with the right

pressures is willing to sell (as in If HideMyAss).

The key then is to understand that a provider VPN can not release information about you

that does not have, so they can not be prosecuted for not having cooperated by giving information

that - the facts - do not have. normally a VPN providers solicit personal information

to create accounts and process payments, then ask: name, email, payment information

and billing addresses.

Best VPN providers have lately realized that it is possible to allow for more

anonymity to its users by offering them payments with cryptomonete (which will be discussed

in there): this still allows, with precautions, to make the anonymous

purchase of service by lifting sellers weighing store billing information.

What is Gastroparesis? | Sophie - Duration: 19:26.

Well hello everybody and welcome back to my channel, or if you are new, hello welcome

to my channel my name is Sophie.

I hope you are doing really well today.

So for today's video I thought we would talk about what Gastroparesis is.

It was the first condition I was diagnosed with and it was the whole reason that I started

blogging and vlogging and Youtubing.

No-one's ever really heard of it they're like Gastro What??

So let's learn about it today…

If you wanna learn, carry on watching.

[Intro Music]

Gastroparesis is when the nerves in stomach are damaged or stop working for whatever reason

There's a number of different reasons and it is the Vagus nerve that they believe to

be the problem.

And I don't mean like Las Vegas... party...

I can see where the link would be but it's not vagus it is the Vagus nerve.

Mind you i would really love to be in las vegas right now.

And it does seem to be more common in females.

I don't really know why and doctors don't seem to know why but it can be of all ages

and it can be males it just tends to be females.

There are so many different way and different combinations of things that can cause it but

these are kind of the most known reasons behind Gastroparesis.

So if you are diabetic that is a very common one, derv… derve namage?

Great sophie.

So you can get damage to a nerve during an operation of some sorts whether it is regarding

the stomach or not if damage is done that can cause Gastroparesis.

Parkinson disease

Multiple sclerosis

Anorexia is another one that can cause it.

Kind of the after effects of everything that goes through your body when you have anorexia.

After pregnancy you can actually get Gastroparesis

A virus leaving its ''mark'' as they say.

And another common one that they are find is EDS or Ehlers Danlos Syndrome if you know

what that is or if you don't, I also did a video as to what that is so I will leave

the link below and you can learn about that.

But the two are very often very much….

linked together.

They are like a pair.

The most common form of gastroparesis is the 'unknown'.

Basically doctors call this Idiopathic Gastroparesis which in our term basically means we don't

have a clue but this is what you have so deal with it.

[music]

Symptoms can be a number of things and you can get some of them, all of them, a couple

of them etc...

Everyone's obviously different and gets them to different extents.

But these are kind of the symptoms that are universal and things that link with it.

Feeling full early after eating

Bloating

Pain and discomfort in the tummy… and it is painful!

Nasuea

Vomiting

Weight loss or in some cases weight gain.

Acheyness

Exhaustion

Lightheadedness

Passing out

Malnutrition

Dehydration

Heartburn

Acid reflux

A loss of appetite

Insomnia

Or problems sleeping which are kind of the same thing

And the list kind of just goes on and on.

But i would say those are probably like the main ones and yeah… they are not fun.

I am not going to lie, i'm not gonna sugar coat it, i never do in these videos, they're

not fun.

There are ways of managing it to degrees but some days you just can't manage it and some

days you may get no symptoms or very few and they're not too bad.

Other days you could get all of the symptoms or even one or two of the symptoms and it's

really bad and it's really painful or a lot of sickness.

Everyday is different as with any Chronic Illness.

No day's the same and what happens one day is not the same the following day.

So…. that makes for a lot of fun if the word fun means horrible.

I'm going to try explain to you in the best way i can, what it feels like to have gastroparesis

every single day of your life.

Okay now close your eyes, and imagine this.

Imagine the last time you had a really really bad cold, virus, flu, bug, it was horrible.

Really bad.

And remember how you were feeling with that.

Remember how you felt exhausted, sick, achy, weak, how you couldn't get out of bed and

just generally felt really crap!

Now add some pain in your stomach and I am talking like worse than giving birth pain.

Times the whole cold thing by like 50 and you're probably like half way there.

Imagine the pain that is inside your stomach and the fact that you are starving and literally

can't do anything about it because if you try, you just bring it straight back up

or you are in like, horrendous pain!

And it doesn't go away, you can't pause it or get rid of it whilst you do an activity

or you get on with your day at work.

You still have to live, you still have to get on with life and activities and work or

school or whatever it is you're doing.

And you have to deal with that.

It's exhausting just thinking about it.

Yeah so that my friends, that's gastroparesis!

I have been told that the pain is worse than giving birth, I myself can't confirm or

deny that as i haven't' given birth but …

If that is worse than giving birth, I am soooo prepared to give birth.

I will be sitting there with my legs up, chilling like i'm on holiday.

Basically i'm ready for childbirth, not that i'm planning a child anytime soon.

[music]

There are a few different ways in order to diagnose gastroparesis.

And you could have one of the tests, you could have all of the tests.

But the first thing that you will probably have is an endoscopy which is a little camera

going up your nose, down the back of your throat and into your stomach.

And it's kind of like examining your stomach lining and rules out other causes or conditions

that could be going on.

Another thing that they can do is a barium x-ray.

Basically where you swallow a liquid which is containing a chemical and it kind of has

a chalky kind of texture from what I can feel.

Not that I swallow chalk on a regular basis but it's just what you would imagine chalk

to be like.

And you swallow it and you basically watch it on an x-ray and you can watch its like,

it going through your digestive track.

Another one which they can do and one that I had, is a soup test.

So it is basically an ultra sound and you have to stop eating at a certain time.

Then they do an ultrasound of your stomach to see if there's any food left in there.

How much is in there.

That kind of thing.

Then they make you have some soup or some form of liquid that they have and then after

so long they will check your stomach again through the ultrasound

and see what food is in there, how much is left in there,

if anythings digested.

That kind of thing.

And it's not that bad of a test and I had it and they actually ended up putting me on

a liquid diet because, it showed that I had a whole meal in there

even though I hadn't eaten for like 2 days.

Another test and I think is probably the main test they use to diagnose Gastroparesis and

it's called the Gastric Emptying Test.

This is basically a large machine that you lie under and give you some food.

I think I had mashed potato, which has a small amount of radioactive dye in it

and they basically watch your digestive system for like 4 hours or so

and they see how long it takes for your body to digest it

and how much is in your stomach you know each hour.

As normal person food would be digested by like 4 hours or most of it would be digested.

So I think the number that they use is 10%. So if you have 10% or more of the food left in your stomach after 4 hours,

then your diagnosis of Gastroparesis is there. And they can tell you how bad it is basically.

A newer version that I know that they're doing is the wireless capsule test. So it is a little capsule which I think has a camera in it

and tracks the speed it moves through the digestive system. It is similar to the gastric emptying test but it is just done with a capsule. I have swallowing problems so i would never be able to have that.

But i believe that this is like the newest thing that they're trying.

[Music]

Like I mentioned before there is no cure to Gastroparesis.

There's just ways of managing the symptoms so that you can live as normal a life as possible.

One of the biggest things and probably the first things that they will do is a dietary

change.

What they will probably get you to do is have 6 smaller meals in a day rather than 3 big

meals.

And I mean we are all supposed to do that anyway but I mean who's got time for that

in reality?

It's hard to do when you're living life and you're at school or you're working.

It is hard but it is really important with Gastroparesis

because it gives your body that little helping hand to keep the motility of the stomach and

the digestive system going.

But also gives it more of a chance to digest food rather than just shoving it all in there

which is totally what I do still.

Another dietary change that they will make you do,

is to try softer foods that are easier to digest rather than the harder foods that need

more work and take longer anyway.

And chew like your food really really well.

I know sometimes we just, we're in a hurry and we just kind of suck it and swallow it

ewww … but in reality we really need to chew our

food because that is a form of digesting it.

So if it's already broken down then, it's going to be easier digest on the inside.

And another dietary change that I personally have found massively helpful is taking out

any fizzy drinks.

I wasn't a big fizzy drink person anyways, but I would have the odd one here and there

But the gas and the bubbles and that… will just play havoc on your insides.

And doesn't help bloating at all.

In the slightest … it makes you look like 9 months pregnant which

a lot of food does.

That's Gastroparesis

And fatty food, sugary foods and basically all the foods that you love…

yeah you gotta limite them because your body doesn't love it.

Basically is the gist of it.

Another form of treatment for Gastroparesis is the medication route.

Obviously we don't want to be on medication for life but if it helps then it's giving

you a life is my point of view on it.

So the first medication that I was ever put on and it's the most popular one anyone's

ever put on if you're in the UK, if you're in the USA I know it's banned there.

And that is Domperidone.. not Domperidon the wine or is it champagne?

You can tell I'm a drinker HaHa And this is actually called motilium for some

brands and it basically helps the motility and the movement of your insides.

The only problem with this medication is they're saying that there is a risk of heart problems

with it which is why I have been taken off of it

but I'm not very good off of it.

I need it every so often but they've taken me off it for the most part.

And is the reason why it is banned in the US is it is said to have a lot of problems

with your heart further down the line.

Anti sickness is another one that I was put on and that does exactly what it says it does.

It helps with the sickness and the nausea and I really notice a difference if I don't

take it with my sickness levels and nausea levels.

And if i don't it for a period of time i am likely to ….

And I actually have a fear of being sick.

So, not the best combination.

Another medication that you're likely to be given if you are on a lot of medication

is something like Lansoprazole or Omeprazole.

One of those which basically helps protect the lining of the stomach.

Another one that I have been on and tried is an antiepileptic medication

and this just means it kind of helps the spasms that your nerve do rather than doing what

they're supposed to do.

I am on Pregabalin and I find it's probably my most helpful medication,

alongside the anti sickness medication.

When I'm not on it I notice the pain is worse,

which causes the sickness to be worse, Your mood to be worse.

Everything to be worse.

So I don't know if that's like a kind of world wide thing

or that's just from my pain management.

A pain medication that I'm on is Ketamine.

I know this is a fairly new one and not many places do this just yet.

I think it's kind of becoming slowly a bit bigger.

But I get injections of ketamine every 2-3 weeks which helps to switch off the nerve.

There are other ways of doing this, you can kind of do it with local aneasthetics and

trigger point injections.

But on the medication from it is just one that i've tried,

I am on, i've had.

And we are still trying to get the dosage there

but I do notice when I haven't had it or when it's starting to wear off.

It is a horse tranquiliser.

I know.

And it's not safe if you have it every single day, 3 times a day

but in the way that my pain management team are doing it, it is very safe.

Which is just under supervision, with my blood pressure being monitored because it can make

your blood pressure go up.

And yeah…

That's one of the medications I am on so I thought I would share because it is a

fairly new one and I know that it's not a well known one

out there So if you haven't heard of it maybe you

could ask your pain management team about it.

Because i do rate it very highly.

Another form of treatment that people have used and I personally have as well is an electrical

implant.

So a pacemaker for the stomach.

And it does exactly what a pacemaker would do in the heart

which is kind of shock the nerves into contracting and doing what they're supposed to do.

It does the exact same thing but to the nerves in the stomach.

And for me, I find it does help a lot.

It's more sickness than it is for pain.

I also do know that the NHS (in the UK) are a bit fussy about covering it.

And doing the operation.

Another treatment that I have had which a lot of you will know if you have seen

my videos for a long time or if you have watched any of my tube related ones.

Is a feeding tube of some description.

Now obviously there are a ton of different feeding tubes

and a lot of the ones you will get if you have Gastroparesis go into the Jejunum rather

than into your stomach.

And that is small intestine which is where your food ends up after you have eaten.

And that's basically to avoid the area that is the problem basically because it would

pointless putting it into there.

It is basically a tube and there are tons of different ones.

I have had two types.

I have had the PEGJ tube which goes through your stomach wall and down into your small

intestine.

I've also had the Nasojejunal tube which again a lot of you would have seen, probably

more so than the other one.

It goes up your nose, down the back of your throat,

through your stomach and through into your intestines.

And you then connect this to a machine which pumps in a liquid feed that has all the nutrition

and minerals and everything that your body needs to survive.

Similar to a feeding tube is a picc line or a hickman line, there's a few different

ones.

That's basically where you have a little needle that goes into like,

around this kind of area and it feeds you through your heart.

This comes with massive risks and has a massive tendency to cause sepsis

and infection after infection.

If it's going to save your life then that's one thing

but that is definitely not something that I would jump into.

I know there's obviously alternative therapies you can try.

There's botox which some people do.

I personally haven't tried botox.

I have tried some acupuncture kind of things for pain.

For me personally they haven't helped.

But again, that is something that is out there if you would prefer to try alternative therapies

or try them on top of the non alternative therapies.

Does that even make sense?

This condition needs so much awareness raised for it.

It needs so much more research than what it gets.

It doesn't get any research.

It is so often misdiagnosed Please please please pleaseeeee

Raise awareness

If you're going through it, then i'm with you.
