South Korea barely managed to hang on to the 10th spot in the OECD's latest economic growth

ranking... after tanking to eleven in the year prior.

Gone are the glory days of easily staying in the top five.

We don't have to go back decades to see when that was a relatively sure thing.

As recently as 2014, Korea's numbers safely lifted it to the 4th spot.

Last year's two-point-seven percent is a far cry from near 5-percent growth recorded by

the likes of Iceland and Ireland.

As potential countermeasures, analysts point to the use of bold, long-term investment to

produce new companies, industries and jobs without government help.

But the period of low growth seems likely to persist, with factors like the Fourth Industrial

Revolution, income polarization, intensifying social conflict and anti-globalization...

expected to deal more punishing blows to Korea's trade-dependent economy.

President Park's impeachment ruling could be delivered this week - Duration: 1:00.

Korea's Constitutional Court is expected to deliver its decision on whether to oust or

reinstate President Park Geun-hye as early as this Friday.

Pundits say the court is likely to deliver its impeachment ruling before March 13th,

which is when acting chief justice Lee Jung-mi will step down after completing her term.

The impeachment ruling requires the approval of at least six of the court's nine justices,

but after Lee resigns, the court will be left with seven justices because Chief justice

Park Han-chul stood down early this year.

The eight justices are expected to announce the official date of the ruling by Tuesday.

If the court rules to permanently remove Park from office, South Korea is required to hold

a presidential election within 60 days.

If she is reinstated, President Park will be allowed to finish her term through February.

Hanok designing program has been developed through 3D technology - Duration: 1:44.

A scaled down version of the Main Throne Hall Of Gyeongbokgung...

Palace has been created.

While being a hundred times smaller it surprisingly retains the grandeur and beatuty of the original.

Kim Mok-yeon introduces to us the miniature marvel and the advanced 3-D technology that

made the project possible.

This is the Geunjeongjeon , the throne hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

As the palace's biggest hall, it becomes apparent how it's been preserved through time when

you look at the exquisite joints of its columns and beams.

A research team led by Professor Jeong Bong-hee of Seoul National University created a model

of Geunjeongjeon 70 centimeters long, 70 centimeters wide and 50 centimeters tall.

They built it by following the traditional construction method of fitting together each

piece instead of piling up the materials.

It's made of 3,500 pieces every one of them designed with extreme precision using 3D software.

"We spent a long time thinking about how to simplify things while preserving its beauty

at the same time."

The team made use of the 3D method to develop a design program for traditional Korean buildings,

or Hanok, by analyzing some 160 cultural structures and organizing them into functional equations

to automate the process.

"There is no set rule when it comes to the materials a Hanok is made of.

But many of them do have curved surfaces."

The program can be used to design a 65 square-meter Hanok in just 5 or 6 hours.

The research team expects their latest development to popularize Hanok design, which in the past

was something only specialists could do.

An Overview of the New Liz Glynn "Open House" Installation at Central Park, NYC - Duration: 2:56.

Hi guys,

Today we're taking a look at the new Liz Glynn installation at the Doris C. Freedman

Plaza entrance in Central Park.

Glynn's "Open House" exhibit is inspired by the grandest ballrooms of a bygone era

and consist of concrete re-imaginings of the opulent furniture and decor of that time.

Arriving in this outdoor public space, you can observe or sit upon any of Glynn's seats,

couches and footstools.

Or you could walk through one of the arches, which are a really cool introduction to the

installation and the park itself on 5th Ave and 60th Street.

Actually, the seats themselves are surprisingly comfortable to sit on!

The furniture all had intricate, eye-pleasing designs carved into them, and I found myself

subconsciously tracing the ornate patterns more than once.

If you look hard enough, you'll notice small corners lacking elegance, such as where the

arches meet the floor, but I think that's perfectly fine for a temporary exhibit made

of such heavy materials.

In part due to the canopy of trees above, some seats are…lets just say they are covered

in "nature".

And this makes sitting on them a bit more daring than you might like.

As I watched, people seemed pretty happy discovering this funky new spot for the first time.

However, I did have mixed feelings about the location.

Because you're at the entrance of Central Park, you can gaze at the distant, truly breathtaking

skyline.

But bringing your gaze a bit closer, you can't help but notice all of the sad carriage horses

nearby, forcibly parked amid the traffic in the frigid 20 degree weather.

Maybe it's intentional, but for me the raw concrete colors of the artworks blended into

the surroundings a bit much.

The exhibit felt like it was struggling to stand out against the concrete plaza space,

the bland nearby buildings, and even the overcast clouds above.

There is definitely a rich backdrop of New York City history to be found within Liz Glynn's

exhibit.

are like arguably you know on the border

about and it'll make you choose which

one you'd rather do and then it will

show you like a percentage of whoever's

taken the exam quit singing and what

they agree with what they don't agree

you know how or exemption you guys have

seen people do it in this is it's a

fairly good distressing and it's it's

easy to talk about and all that good

stuff so there's a year ago if you had

to read only one series for the rest of

your life would you rather read Harry

Potter reach Twilight well that's handed

down Harry Potter because i love Harry

Potter and I don't hate anything but

twilight is not exactly my favorite so

everybody it is and yeah duh obviously

85% people are going to agree with that

because no one likes twilight and

everyone likes harry potter come on

would you rather get four hours of sleep

per night or get 15 hours of sleep per

night

well right now i get about four hours of

sleep per night but that's because i'm

busy it really depends on the context

like I would love to get 15 hours of

sleep per night but when i get that much

sleep i'm usually usually wake up with a

headache and it doesn't feel good anyway

so honestly if I could survive and be

happy and awake with four hours sleep

tonight I'm going with that because i'll

have more time to do everything and

apparently everybody else like 15 hours

of sleep which I I I understand I

understand that I mean you know people

like to sleep

would you rather kill your daughter to

save an entire country from the huge

catastrophe or be the cause of the

catastrophe that destroys our country

uh okay well I don't have a daughter but

if I did

that's a hard one that was hard okay so

which you kill your daughter save an

entire country from used catastrophe or

be the cause of catastrophe that

ship-to-shore huh hmm

but what if it was an accident what if

the cause was an accident what I mean I

calls it on accident like say i don't

know i can't think of any examples right

now but you know what I'm going to be

selfish one to pick this out and I agree

with i agree with 55-percent so you know

I don't feel as bad I feel like I feel

bad no matter which one I pick but you

know you guys would you rather know

everything or be the ruler of everything

know everything I guess yet because then

you can keep it like on the download

more zombie apocalypse finding materials

and Walter White's i'm going to go with

him and everybody takes Walter White I'd

that shows you how ignorant I am in

these shows this would you rather speak

every language accepted the language of

the country you're currently

or would you rather speak only the

language of the country you're in

but know the meaning of every single

word in that language well I'd owe me

knowing multiple languages has always

been one of my things that I want to do

you know I want to know all languages

like not all languages good that's

impossible

let me guess it's not if but anyway I

wasn't as many languages as possible i

want to learn as much as I can and I'm

all about learning but I like knowing my

language I like knowing English its kind

of universal language nowadays like a

lot of people know around the world a

lot of people know English so honestly

I'd rather only knows the language that

I currently know you know English and

sounds bad because I it and that would

suck i would hate to have to choose

because i really want to i want to learn

I want to learn everything would you

rather speak only in ebonics or

understand those things whatsoever what
