Finding Your Story (Storytelling part II) | Truly Social with Tara - Duration: 7:14.

Last week, I talked about the importance of having a story and for those who haven't

watched, it boils down to this:

The most influential people and brands out there are the best storytellers. And these

people and brands aren't only great at TELLING stories, they also live their stories.

I also promised to talk about figuring out that story, because face it, most brands don't

have a very clear story to live OR tell. Now this is a challenge, I know, but I'm going

to try and tackle this nonetheless. I'm going to tackle it in bite-sized pieces.

It will be a multi-part series, and today, I'm going to talk about the most important

part of storytelling...that foundation. And the most important part of storytelling is…

"Drumroll please! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Can anybody guess?" Michael from the Office

I'll tell you right after the jump.

My name is Tara and this is …Truly Social.

Now, there are some businesses whose stories are easy to see from a distance. And here

are just some examples to illustrate:

Red Bull's story is about living life to the fullest, taking risks, and pushing the

limits. Red Bull doesn't sell an energy drink, they sell a lifestyle.

Apple's story is about stepping back, throwing out conventional wisdom, and rethinking how

things could be done better. You know, Apple's "Think Different." But Apple doesn't

just sell computers and software and it's not just a line from an ad. They sell a mindset.

The key thing to note here is that these brands don't just use their story as a marketing

message, they build that story into everything they do. They live that story.

"I'm just livin the dream!" Wedding Crashers

And this is key. Though these seem like sexy brands in simple industries where stories

are easy to tell, there are plenty of examples of their competitors who have weak or no stories

at all. Can you tell me the story behind Blackberry? Samsung? Monster energy? NOS? Or is it N O

S? You may recognize the brands, but what are their stories? Do you know what those

are? Do you know what they stand for?

What do YOU stand for? What does your brand stand for? If you want someone to get behind

your brand, you need to stand for something bigger than "buy my stuff".

"Call now! You're going to get the graty absolutely free! You're going to love my

nuts!" Slapchop ad.

In the social era, pretty much everything people buy, wear, eat, listen to, read, or

otherwise consume is a signal that they're sending out into the world to tell people

who they are and what they care about. If they are buying anything less than something

that sends that signal, it's a commodity. And that commodity is easily switched for

another commodity at a different time. That's where you get price being a race to the bottom,

and companies like Apple do not (have to) compete on price at all.

"Everyone, everyone, everyone is waiting for the Mac." Steve Jobs

I spend stupid amounts of money on Apple products because I wouldn't be caught dead with a

PC. I know it sounds really ridiculous and shallow. Yes, I also love the hardware and

software, but I'm not going to kid myself. I am an Apple Fangirl and I proudly display

this to the world, because I want people to see me as the type of person who uses Apple.

"Look at their faces when they see what it is. They won't know what they're looking

at or why they like it, but they know they want it." Steve Jobs

But on the other side, there are people who wouldn't be caught dead with an Apple product,

either. It is their story that they are NOT Apple Fangirls and Fanboys, that they are

not part of this cult. The signal that they're sending is just as strong. My friend Chris

Pirillo is one of these people. He revels in laughing at Apple people like me. It's

part of his identity. And I love him for it.

But, how did Apple become part of both Chris and my identities? Well, they took a stand.

It didn't have to be a universally accepted stand, either. In fact, they turn off as many,

if not more, people than they attract. People like Chris. But that doesn't matter. They

don't need everyone to buy - that would actually kill the specialness of the Apple

Fan identity - they just need people who believe to buy.

THIS is the most important part of ANY story: standing for something. Having strong, identifiable,

authentic, relatable, boundaried, passionate, sometimes divisive and controversial, but

always true-of-heart VALUES. Values are the CORE to any story and the stronger and more

identifiable those values, the stronger and more identifiable the story.

See?

"You can't see electricity, can you? You can't see radio waves,

but you accept them." I heart huckabees

When you have strong values, you will:

Number one, Invest in those values. Your money, your time, your social capital, your everything.

Number two, you'll measure your success by how well you are living up to those values.

That is the ROI you set.

Number three, you stand by those values no matter what. People can threaten, boycott,

shun, and otherwise ostracize you, but you stand tall.

Number four, you incorporate those values into EVERYTHING you do. You don't have to

be preachy - in fact, you shouldn't be preachy - but you do need to be consistent.

And number five, you put those values above all else.

Now the thing is: most people - and definitely most brands - do NOT have the fortitude to

stand by values this strongly. Sure, they'll write a list of values on a laminated card

or a new employee handout. And I've been the employee who got that handout, got excited,

then ended up heartbroken because the organization didn't stand strong by the values they listed

on that card. They didn't act consistently.

"I'm not so much let down as I am disappointed." Duckman

And that is when the story fails - when the values are written down, but they're not

lived.

So, the first thing you need to do before my next video is to sit down and have a real

conversation internally. Ask: WHAT ARE OUR VALUES? And, even more importantly, ARE WE

WILLING TO LIVE AND DIE BY THEM? This is not an easy conversation to have, there is going

to be a lot of dissent.

Have that conversation in your organization this week - no matter whether your brand or

industry is "sexy" or not. You can be CPG or you can be a B2B financial services

company. I can guarantee you that this will be an eye-opening discussion and you're

not going to solve anything in one sit-down.

"But I want it now!" My Little Pony

Oh...and values are not a laundry list of wis-hy washy and "safe" words like Integrity,

Honesty and Openness. Those are baselines and must-haves in today's world. They're

not values. If you won't invest in it, can't measure it, won't take a bullet for it,

live it and put it above all else, it's not a value, it's a given.

Next week, I'll talk about taking those values and making them into your story, so

be sure to subscribe, click the bell and, please, go have that conversation about values.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below.

iPhone 6S iOS 10 v/s iOS 11 Comparison & Update - Duration: 7:25.

in this video we are going to compare IOS 10 and iOS 11 and review the changes in IOS11

here we have an iPhone 6s running iOS 10.3.3

here you can see iPhone is currently on iOS 10.3

let's test the performance of the phone using antutu benchmark

as you can see the performance is on par with the standards we shall keep this

score as the base score

and now let's get to the update

as you can see the udate has already arrived

it just needs to be downloaded so let's start

and it will take some time as the update is pretty big

after the update has downloaded

we will install ,it will take some time verify the update

after verifying the upgrade the phone will boot up and install the update it is a

very lengthy process and we take lot of time

now that the update has been installed we can take a look at all the features of

iOS 11

the first step is to unlock your devices using a password

the next step will be to login your Apple ID but this part can be skipped

so let's start with the home screen as you can see the home screen is

practically the same with minimal changes the only changes are the icons

which have been completely redesigned

let's take a look at the revamped

control center

which now features more toggles including a brightness slider and a

volume slider and a new icon for mobile data

just for confirmation take a look at the settings menu where it shows iOS 11

another noticeable detail is the

animation for opening and closing the apps which has been changed this one

now let's test the performance of the phone on IOS11

as you can see the benchmark score is quite less than before suggesting a

slight performance drop after the update

now let's see the changes in

user interface of other apps on opening the dialer we see a complete overhaul

with bold text and cleaner design elements

the Safari browser has also

been updated with the new minimalistic design

the email app features a lot of

changes as well

in the messaging app there is a new feature to add content

apps like BItMoji apple music etc

the calculator app has been completely revamped as well

showing off a new modern look

there are also a lot more features on the system apps

like the gallery and the calendar

the weather app is still the same as before

the camera app now features off a new icon but retains the same user interface as before

even the contacts app as its logo changed

here we can see the network

indicator icons have been changed for more traditional style

another new feature is the notification panel which has been merged with the lockscreen

when you pull down to get the lock screen instead of the notification panel

when you swipe to the left not the camera app

and over to the right to launch the

widgets and notification panel

so in conclusion the new iOS update brings many new features and many

changes the overall user interface and operability of the device

so that's it for this video guys if you like this content make sure to drop a like leave a

comment and also don't forget subscribe

Tuto Rool - Pro Tips - Crazy - Duration: 3:29.

With this video, we introduce you a new playlist on this channel : "Pro Tips"

In french : "Conseils de Pros"

In this section, monitors and riders will give you tips...

... in order to help you to involve

We start with a representative trick : the crazy

... and we are already working on the next video about wheeling

The first tip is to stay on the external edge

Next tip : Lean forward to start the forward cross...

... and lean back to start the cross backward...

To turn pelvis / hips is essential too

Forward... Backward.

You can focus on the direction of your navel, or... your bottom.

To slalom on flat is finaly not easy, neither esthetic

We recommand you to raise toes'wheels ans heels'wheels

For a relaxed finish, you can also use your arms or hands

Most of all, it mustn't be contracted or tense

On the floor, we drew equilateral triangles...

... with cross and cones.

Target : change direction at the top of the each triangle

... and so your crazy (and difficultie !) will be regular

For this trick, I advise you to start with a 80cm slalom

... but start with a 60cm for exemple for kids could be a good idea

(Lily is laughing at Pierre)

So, here were the tips for a crazy

See you very soon for a new video about wheelings

The 10 Things Only Smart People Do - Duration: 5:51.

Brainy Dose Presents:

The 10 Things Only Smart People Do

Yep.

There are things ONLY smart people do…

Why?

Because they're better than those who aren't regarded as such, right?

Well, not necessarily.

However, smart people are dedicated and regimented individuals.

They persevere through the challenges of life, while performing a plethora of tasks on a

daily basis to stay at the top of their game.

Regardless of how smartness is determined - whether it's having a high IQ, significant

talents, or an above-average amount of creativity, here are some general patterns and things

ONLY smart people do!

Number 1 - Always Question The Status Quo

Stupid people simply accept whatever is thrown at them or given to them and whatever just

seems normal to them.

They don't do research and don't question the status quo.

Smart people never accept the status quo and they understand that if something is the status

quo, there needs to be change.

There are voids that need to be filled.

Number 2 - Smart in More Than One Area

Many people are highly knowledgeable in one topic and can speak about it endlessly.

But does this mean they are really smart?

Smart people take the time to educate themselves in a variety of topics and any subject of

interest that is popular with the masses.

They can hold a conversation with anyone, about almost anything.

Smart people are proud of their opinions and they understand that to make a valuable one,

they have to research popular trends and why people are attracted to them.

Number 3 - Understand the Concept of Time

Smart people block out distractions when trying to figure things out.

They can quickly recognize what is useful and helpful to their thought process and what

the most important things are to help them achieve their goals.

They focus only on these important things rather than on things that will push them

farther away from staying on track.

Smart people are aware that average people get bogged down with pointless distractions

throughout the day that serves no positive purpose in their lives.

They know how to ignore these things and focus on using their abilities to be as productive

as they can be.

Number 4 - Always Curious

Smart people always question things.

They act on the questions their brain asks them about an object or situation.

They are genuinely interested in the shape, color, size and meaning of everything around

them.

If something seems complicated or puzzling, they write it down and then research it later.

Number 5 - Focus on the Message, Not the Messenger

Often people close their minds from a learning experience simply because of the nature of

the person delivering the information.

Smart people don't do this.

They understand that an alternate perspective from an unfamiliar source can actually be

interesting once they get past the natural urge to judge.

Smart people are open minded and they appreciate the value of someone else's opinions.

They don't let what they think or feel about someone get in the way of their ability to

be thought provoking or at least amusing.

Smart people aim for all of their interactions to be a learning experience.

Number 6 - Poker Face

Sometimes, in social situations, smart people play themselves down.

They do this to test the mental capacity of the people they're dealing with.

This is when they put on their poker face and pretend to be passively observing.

They are just trying to see what other people's interpretations are on a subject.

Smart people study the nature of others, especially those they are doing business with and forming

relationships with.

This helps to come up with an effective way to sound like they know what they are talking

about, without sounding too unfamiliar or complicated for others to understand.

Number 7 - Smart People Learn From Others' Mistakes, Not Just Their Own

Smart people try to avoid mistakes that others have already made.

They do a lot of research on their industry and learn from stories of other successful

and not-so-successful people.

They not only want to know what to do to succeed, but also what not to do.

A smart person of course also learns from his or her mistakes.

They just take it a step further to include the mistakes others have made.

Number 8 - Evaluate Options

It's rarely a good idea to rush into something.

Heck, that's what the whole telemarketing industry banks on.

They thrive on impulsive people who have a tendency of rushing into things.

But smart people know that the choices and decisions they make are what define the outcome

and shape of things.

They never put themselves in a position to choose the wrong path by rushing a decision.

This is why when it comes to making a decision, a smart person evaluates all of the options

before deciding on one.

Number 9 - Smart People Go To Bed Later

The smarter you are, the later you are likely to go to sleep.

In fact, going to bed later and waking up later has been correlated with a higher IQ.

While there isn't necessarily a causal link here, more intelligent people generally prefer

staying up late.

Number 10 - Smart People Don't Give Up

It can often seem like a good and practical idea to abandon a sinking ship, however, smart

people know that the ship might only have a small leak and can be saved.

They understand and practice persistence, knowing that things normally get tougher before

becoming easier.

While most people may quit sooner along the way, smart people hold out and persevere.

If you already do these things, keep it up.

If you don't, you'll probably want to start!

The sooner the better!

Did we forget to mention any other things only smart people do?

Disc Shaped UFO reported by F-117 Fleet over SYRIA - January 2016 !!!

January 2016 - Syria.

US pilots of F-117 fleet flying over Syria reported amazing disc shaped UFO in the sky.

Reports from pilots and sources up and down the Pentagon chain of command tell an interesting story.

American pilots of F-117 flying over Iraq and Syria have recently leaked their story now but no news agency will carry it.

They say they have flown over strange disc shaped UFO at the beginning of January and been told to stay silent.

Hardly surprising.

Some pictures showing the contact were found on internet.
