[APL tactical pistol light - Night Evolution] Review | Airsoft FR - EN subs - Duration: 5:47.

Hello everyone and welcome to this video presentation of the APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution

You can find this flashligt in 2 colors: black and tan

Then, this flashlight is proposed in a simple package but with a lot of various information on it about the characteristics about this one

And we will find inside to begin, in a small plastic satchet, an extra mount for the flashlight and its Allen adjustment key

A simple and effective instruction manual in English

In a second satchet, you will find 2 Night Evolution and Inforce stickers to stick, if desired, on the flashlight

And of course to finish, the APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution, here with a black finish

This flashlight is mainly made of ABS, only the rails and the locking/unlocking latch is made of metal

The glass is advertised as being tempered and treated with an anti-reflection coating

Note that no marking is present

To insert the battery, unscrew the front part

Then insert this one according to the direction indicated by the small sticker next to it, which can be removed later

The compatible batteries are the CR 123A as I inserted here or the 16340

This flashlight works thanks to 2 paddle siwtchs on the back which have the same function

A short press will light the lamp in a constant mode and a second press will switch it off

A long press will cause a constant light that will cease when you release the pressure on the paddle switch

Of course, the second paddle switch works exactly the same way, allowing an ambidextrous use of this flashlight

The last available mode is the strobe, to activate it, you will have to do a double quick press

The flashlight is fixed to your bb gun thanks to a removable rail system

2 different systems are available as standard to ensure installation on most bb guns

To install a fastening system, simply remove the visible screws with the supplied Allen key and then screw them back back

To disengage the clamping system and allow the installation of your flashlight, you will have to lower the lateral lever

Then install the flashlight by matching the slot correctly on the bb gun with the embossed relief on the mount

To finish, lower the lever and your flashlight is fixed

This flashlight perfectly fits the shapes of my S17 Stark Arms

The operation paddles switchs are well accessible, no worries to turn on the flashlight

The presence of 2 paddles at the back, allows an ambidextrous use of the bb gun and the flashlight

Removing the flashlight is very fast, raise the clamping lever and remove this one

To conclude, this APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution is a pleasant surprise

It is compact, has a good finish and illuminates perfectly for use in airsoft

Its shape fits very well my bb gun and thus allows a fast handling of this one, in addition to being ambidextrous

Thanks to you for watching this video

Travelling, a balm for the soul - Duration: 3:52.

To continue on the topic of having roots and etc

I think that, at the end, languages got my interest

because I hadn't managed to "find myself"

meaning that being French wasn't enough

meaning that I couldn't always identify with the French culture

And I want to say that when someone actually limits himself/herself to one culture

that is the moment when you don't feel really yourself

I believe the moment you start learning from any culture, any country

this moment is - I believe - when you feel living -or alive

That's why - I believe - I LOVE to meet people who do something completely different from what I do, or who are just completely different...

or that's why I love...shy people. Because they have this inner world that makes them different.

They kept this pure soul in a way and they've managed to be authentic to themselves, deep inside

That's I love, I assume

That's what Iwas looking for while travelling: getting to know people from other cultures, other nationalities

I believe it was priceless. I was willing to do Couchsurfing

and sleep in strangers' home

because I could have this feeling of freedom and exploration. And I believe it allowed me to fix broken things inside of me

Travelling, I realized that I could be so much more than what I could see around me

meaning that living in the same area, hanging out with the same people

I forgot that I could be so much more

than what I was expected to be

I forgot that there were more possibilities in life than the ones around me

That's why I believe I want to inspire people to learn languages, or to travel, or to simply open themselves to foreigners/strangers

at least, this helped me. It inspired me to become someone more fulfilled.

How to Resolve the Paradox of Choice - Ep. 10 - Duration: 3:10.

In today's episode, the sixth in a series on the book Switch by Chip and Dan Heath,

we will examine decision paralysis, the paradox of choice, and the danger of ambiguity derailing

your change effort.

A 67-year-old patient had chronic hip pain from arthritis.

He had been given drugs to treat his pain, but they had been ineffective, so his doctor

had to consider hip-replacement surgery.

This is a complex surgery and recovery is long and painful.

But then, a final check with the patient's pharmacy revealed a medication that hadn't

been tried.

So, now the doctor had a choice: prescribe the untried medication or refer the patient

for surgery.

47% of doctors chose the medication.

In a variation, doctors were presented with the same facts, but with two untried medications.

This is great, you have two medications to try, but guess what happened!

Only 28% chose to try either one.

What happened here was decision paralysis.

The more options we have, the more likely we are to retreat to the default plan.

It happens all the time.

At a gourmet food store, managers set up a table where customers could sample imported

jams.

One day, six jams are displayed.

Another day, 24 jams.

Shoppers who saw the 6 jam display are 10 times more likely to buy than those who saw

the 24 jam display.

In retirement planning, you lose 2% of the people for every ten mutual fund options you

offer, even when deferring means that people lose out on employer-matched contributions.

Barry Schwartz covers this subject in his book, the Paradox of Choice.

In a related TED talk, he said:

All of this choice has two effects. Two negative effects on people.

One effect, paradoxically, is that it produces paralysis rather than liberation.

WIth so many options to choose from, people find it very difficult to choose at all.

The second effect is that, even if we manage to overcome the paralysis and make a choice,

we end up less satisfied with the result of the choice

than we would be if we had fewer options to choose from.

The status quo feels comfortable because choice has been removed.

You have a routine.

The Rider is on autopilot.

In times of change, autopilot doesn't work.

Say you start a diet.

Your daily trip for nachos is now disqualified, so in its place is a decision.

What am I going to eat?

Change brings new choices that create uncertainty.

You don't always know what options are available.

This uncertainty leads to paralysis just as easily as having too many choices.

This exhausts the Rider, and the Elephant ends up taking the more familiar path.

This makes decision paralysis deadly for change - because the most familiar path is the status

quo.

Any successful change effort requires that ambiguous goals become concrete behaviors.

You need to script the critical moves.

DUG Insight How-To: Layercake Velocity Models - Duration: 3:24.

Velocity is calculated from depth and time to build a laterally varying velocity model,

often referred to as a layer cake model.

You will need pairs of time or depth or velocity horizons.

This example model will use time and velocity horizon pairs.

The velocity horizon can be created in many ways,

but a common method is to grid pseudo well velocities calculated from well intervals.

First open a map view and review the horizons.

They should have the same geometry across the area to be depth converted

and the units should be meters per second or feet per second

Open the process tab and create a new Volume Maths process.

The name that you give the process will become the name of the velocity volume you create.

Select a seismic volume.

Although this is not required for 3D data,

the input volume inline/crossline range can be used to quickly define the output volume range,

even though the amplitude values are not part of the process.

In the formula box, use an IF statement to select one velocity horizon above the conditional time horizon,

and another velocity horizon below.

In this example I have constant velocity 1500 m/s above horizon H1

and a varying velocity horizon, Vel2 below.

Set the output geometry to be at least 100 meters by 100 meters in the XY axis,

and 24 milliseconds in the z axis to keep processing time efficient.

You need to set the volume class to interval velocity for it to be displayed correctly.

Set the min and Max range to match the class settings

QC the model using the section view.

For additional layers, add the additional time structure and the additional velocity grids and

continue to build a nested structure, where the second variable becomes a new IF statement.

I'm going to include the additional velocity and two additional time horizons in the project.

Again the sea layer is set to fifteen hundred meters per second

The half space is set to three thousand five hundred meters per second and the two layers in between are set to varying velocity horizons.

Insights amazing volume math flexibility means that models can have as many layers as required

and can be generated for 2d or 3d data.

Changing the input to a 2d volume creates the velocity on a 2d survey.

More complex V0-K functions can also be applied using the same technique.

Simply replace the single velocity horizon with a V0-K function, where V0 is a horizon rather than the constant.

Now velocity can clearly be seen to vary laterally as well as vertically.
