'Soulik' leaving S. Korea by Friday afternoon, hard-hit regions begin restoration efforts - Duration: 1:40.

While Soulik has now moved out of the Peninsula, the storm caused considerable damage, particularly

in the southern regions.

Restoration efforts are ongoing.

Oh Soo-young zooms in on the developments.

Typhoon Soulik appears to have passed over South Korea,... moving out to sea near the

east coast city of Gangneung.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Friday the typhoon has substantially weakened

after hitting the peninsula the day before.

The earlier-than-expected departure on Friday afternoon has caused most regions to lift

their typhoon advisories.

Still, authorities recommend locals living in regions along the east coast to exercise

caution.

The typhoon,... with winds of up to 126 km per hour,... battered the southern and central

regions of the country,... leaving casualties and infrastructure damage in its wake.

Disaster authorities say a woman in her twenties who was swept out to sea,... still remains

unaccounted for,... and a man in his thirties was injured on Jeju Island.

A sixteen year-old boy in the southern county of Goheung was also hurt on Thursday when

a wall collapsed.

The strong winds and heavy rain knocked down scores of trees, street lights and facilities

as well as causing dozens of drains to overflow.

Some 22-thousand households experienced power outages on Jeju Island and the southern mainland

provinces.

While the impact of the typhoon was limited in the capital region,... local governments

have been holding emergency meetings to restore hard-hit areas,... launching efforts to mend

facilities and identify the impact on the agricultural sector.

President Moon Jae-in, the day before, had called on the central government to look into

measures like special grants for restoration efforts.

Oh Soo-young, Arirang News.

Bonus Level | Stories from the Midwest Gaming Classic - Duration: 12:35.

(electronic music)

- No. That was Coleco reverse-engineering our system.

I had to testify in that lawsuit.

(laughter)

That was very unpleasant.

I'll tell you what happened.

Atari was not very careful

about patents in the design process,

and there was a patent that should have had my name on it.

I had designed the sound circuits in the 2600,

but the guy who took the credit for the patent

didn't include my name on the patent.

Simple clerical problem.

But as a proc-, when,

when Atari sued Coleco,

and Coleco countersued,

they had to pull out my notebooks and discover

that the illustration for the sound circuits in there

were in my notebooks,

not in Ron Miller's notebooks,

and that invalidated the patent.

Bang, and that means they were able

to sell the thing anyway in competition with us.

Now, the whole market fell apart,

so it didn't help them very much at all.

There was some tension,

but there was also a huge amount of cross-compatibility.

We were buddies.

I mean, we played each other in softball.

But we deliberately designed the Atari computers

to make it easy to port Atari arcade stuff to home use.

And we understood that there were really smart people

thinking about how people interacting with these machines,

and we were bringing their work home, okay?

One of the problems that many companies

that were competitors of Atari ran into

was they didn't understand that their first job

was to entertain the people,

form emotional bonds with them

and their little avatars on the screen.

Like, the Fairchild Channel F,

which came out before this thing,

was a market failure.

Sold maybe a quarter million units

in its whole product lifetime.

It was a clunky system

and was designed by a semiconductor company

thinking they could make money in games.

Whereas Atari was fundamentally an entertainment company

manifested in electronics.

So the coin op people were a constant source of inspiration

for the consumer products side of the company.

Does that answer your question?

The cooperation was much stronger than the rivalry.

I've been thinking, as I step back,

I spent most of the last three decades driving

commercially important public standards

like Bluetooth and wifi and USB and V series modems.

So I have time now that I'm officially retired

to play with some of these older things.

And what I envision to bring the retro game experience home,

people now routinely have very powerful systems

masquerading as a phone.

And there are emulators like Flashback 5

that is basically emulated on a processor

of comparable power.

They've got the display.

What they don't have is the I/O.

So what I would imagine someone should do,

if they don't already exist,

is build Bluetooth-connected classic Atari controllers,

and Bluetooth-connected classic Nintento controllers.

Run the emulators on these things or larger versions.

Because if you can talk to an emulator running on iOS,

it'll run on your phone, but it'll run on your iPad.

And if you connect it to an Android phone,

it'll run on your Android phone,

but it'll run on your Android tablet just as easily.

They've already spent the money on the hardware.

What they need to get is a new peripheral

connected in a way that didn't exist in 1977

running on old logic.

And further, I would like to popularize

people able to write new games.

You know, to take what Atari age does

and get people able to write retro stuff,

because it's simple and it's understandable,

and people can get engaged in it and make it...

Nolan Bushnell used to say that the best games

reward the first quarter and the hundredth quarter.

And people who are concentrating on something simpler

put their minds into that.

If you've got a PS3 or a PS4

and you can render the zits on the face of the players,

that's great graphics,

but the question is, does it make the game interesting?

And if it doesn't,

then all that development's a waste of money,

and it's much better to bring the gaming experience mobile.

That's my opinion.

(beeps)

- [Man] Do you need a drink or anything?

- No, I'm cool.

- [Man] Okay.

- I can talk a lot.

- [Woman] All right.

(beep)

Okay, Gary Stern.

In Pinball yesterday, today...

(beep)

- We were very lucky this year to have Gary Stern present...

Presant?

(laughter) - That was a...

Now I can't even use the word present.

- [Man] Present, present.

- Present.

- [Woman] Think of a present.

- P-presant?

We were vewy lucky...

(laughter)

- [Woman] Well, that one's going in.

- Yeah. Yeah.

- [Man] We were vewy lucky.

- I've learned that right after that

is when you put in the I am an ape.

- [Woman] Yeah.

- So, all right.

Which technically I guess I am.

All right.

- [Man] All right.

So we're gonna do, what's that,

- [Man] take three? - Yeah, you can clap me.

- Eh, 46.

(beep)

All right.

I'll go generic.

- [Man] So we're gonna take it from there.

- I got it. I got it.

- [Man] So we're gonna do another take?

- Yeah. - [Man] Okay.

- You can't do that one,

'cuz I literally stopped in the middle and went,

I don't know who the last two people are,

'cuz I don't, so...

- [Man] That's a real pickle. - Yeah.

- [Man] You can't have more people.

- [Woman] We're gonna have...okay.

We need a screenshot blown up poster-size.

- And actually, let me donate, yeah.

- [Woman] Of that, what we just did.

- Yeah. (laughter)

- [Man] This guy runs the show.

- Yeah. - [Woman] Yeah.

- [Woman] It's gonna go right behind the band, actually.

- [Man] Write on T-shirts.

- Yeah.

- [Man] Have you seen this guy?

(laughter) - Yeah, yeah.

- [Man] Call, please call.

- Please call 911.

- [Man] Yeah. - He's probably sick.

- [Man] This guy thinks he runs the show.

(laughter)

(beep)

- In this next panel,

video game historians Jeffrey Wittenhagen and Kyle Gilbert

will join together to talk about...

(laughter)

It's all right.

I almost made it.

- I almost made it. - [Man] (mumbles)

- Damn right.

(laughter)

- [Man] I just ate the universe.

- Hoo boy.

- [Man] We're getting punchy.

- [Woman] I lost it on that one.

- Yeah, nope, that was...

- [Man] They will join together to form a love child.

The Midwesy Gaming Classic love child.

- [Woman] Oh, goodness.

- All right. - [Woman] It's okay.

(beep)

- In this next panel,

video game historians Jeffrey Wittenhagen and Kyle Gilbert

join as...

(laughter)

Why am I saying join?

(laughter)

As soon as I say join,

it's like instant we must all giggle.

(laughter)

Woo.

- [Man] Joining for the love child.

- Yeah.

- [Woman] I'm just imagining them forming some big robot.

- [Man] Join to form (mumbles) became the classic robot.

- Oh boy. All right.

- [Woman] Oh my goodness.

This was supposed to be done.

- [Woman] I gotta stand up. - [Man] All right.

- [Man] All right. - All right, I got it.

- I got it. - [Man] Wait, wait.

- [Man] She's all faklempt over there.

- [Woman] Ugh.

(beep)

- [Woman] Introduce them. - Come see me in 2017.

- [Man] Hey hey hey.

(beep)

- Last year the Midwest Gaming Classic

started a new thing called MGC Music.

It's local bands and musicians

who speak really like they're on Star Trek.

(laughter) - [Woman] Like Shatner.

- Yeah. I just realized it, though.

(laughter)

Yeah, that was weird. I don't know where that came from.

(beep)

Hey hey hey.

Out in the tent you'll see MGC Music with Beaker

coming up next here on MGC FM.

(laughter)

- [Woman] That was good.

- You can use that. - [Woman] MGC TV.

- [Man] MGC TV.

- Yeah.

One of the ways that we add some energy

to the Midwest Gaming Classic

is with our MGC Music stage out in the tent.

This year, one of our headlining acts,

Beaker, was out there playing,

and we got to capture some of their song "Squirrel Killer,"

as you'll see next.

(punk rock music)

- Hey!

Squirrel!

Hey!

Squirrel!

♫ You'd better get off my roof

♫ 'Cuz I always see you there

♫ And I have been running through

♫ Tons of nut shells on my back stairs

♫ I'm gonna get you, yes I will

♫ When I move in for the kill

♫ Offing you is such a thrill

♫ When you're so close I can smell it

♫ Don't know you can't tell it

♫ Between your eyes with a pellet

What?

Squirrel Killer!

(punk rock music)

Hey!

Squirrel!

Hey!

Squirrel!

♫ Now I see you through the hole

♫ Found your smelly way inside

♫ With the nuts that you stole

♫ You can bet that I'll skin your hide

♫ I'm gonna get you, yes I will

♫ When I move in for the kill

♫ Offing you is such a thrill

♫ When you're so close I can smell it

♫ Don't know you can't tell it

♫ Between your eyes with a pellet

Squirrel Killer!

(cheering and applause)

- [Audience Member] Hell yeah!

♫ My you are a fluffy one

♫ Hold still while I get my gun

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

- [Band Member] Do we have a gun?

He got it!

- I got it.

Let's start that again.

One, two, three, go.

♫ My you are a fluffy one

♫ Hold still while I get my gun.

That's better.

♫ Offing you is gonna be a lot of fun.

(punk rock music)

♫ The answer's somewhere in between

♫ Bazooka missile or M16

♫ Though I see you're not the only one

Again!

♫ The answer's somewhere in between

♫ A bazooka missile or M16

♫ Though I see you're not the only one

Two, three, shoot!

(punk rock music)

Hey!

Squirrel!

Hey!

Squirrel!

♫ Now I see you everywhere

♫ Messing with my frazzled head

♫ Oh my yes, yes I swear

♫ I won't rest till you're all dead

♫ I'm gonna get you, yes I will

♫ When I move in for the kill

♫ Offing you is such a thrill

♫ When you're so close I can smell it

♫ Don't know you can't tell it

♫ Between your eyes with a pellet

What?

Squirrel killer!

- Thank you MGC! (cheering and applause)

- We'll have stuff for sale, T-shirts.

We are Beaker.

Good night.

How Optimism makes our lives and health better - Duration: 4:41.

How Optimism makes our lives and health better.

Optimism is a mental attitude that helps us to have positive feelings and expectations

towards a future endeavor or plans.

This feeling is a beneficial state of mind for everyone that will gain the motivation

to continue on his or her path.

In our video, we will show you how being an optimist will be good for your mental health,

how it makes our life sweeter, how we can be more optimistic and how it helps us to

tackle failures and bounce back.

Let us dive in and find out some useful facts about Optimism.

First, let us talk about how it helps us to maintain a healthy state of mind and body.

A higher chance at life.

According to several research studies, the chance of experiencing death at a given time

for a pessimist is 19% more than an optimist.

A better attitude.

How does an optimist keep the positive attitude?

They always filter out the contrary ideas and bad news so they can keep their mindset

positive and outlook well polished for maximum approachability.

A shield against cardiovascular diseases.

Good ideas and helpful thoughts will give a positive attitude that protects one's self

against cardiovascular diseases including sudden heart attacks and strokes.

A boosted immune system.

Not only that, optimism helps us to boost our immune system, so your body will be prepared

to fight off any illness that comes your way and slow them down.

A cheerful life for teens to do better.

Adolescents who are optimistic show greater mental fortitude and physical strength compared

to pessimists.

The next main topic for us is how it manages to turn our lives into a sweeter one, at least

sound like a one.

Optimists who connect with others in real life experience a variety of warmer emotions.

They tend to make more social ties that provide an extra edge about receiving help and constant

less lonely moments in life while some introverted optimists will not find it useful.

Secondly, optimists who took a placebo were able to experience a better effect than others

according to a study.

They were able to cope up with life when things are tough and would still help others in need

without expecting anything in return.

Next up, let us find out some ways to become more Optimistic.

A walk out in the woods nearby.

Have a lovely park or an area full of trees and little animals nearby?

Take a walk across and find how your brain-linked optimism gets activated and recharged.

Think positively.

Always repeatedly tell yourself with positive messages such as "I can do this." and "I will

achieve this goal."

Then your mentality turns towards a very positively motivated to carry out your tasks towards

your goals.

Use your anticipation wisely.

According to research studies, an optimist usually gets excited about upcoming events,

and it helps them to boost themselves towards prolonged excitement and cheerfulness.

This allows them to lower the counts of stress hormone cortisol, all due to believing in

good things that result in happier days.

Moving into workplace environments, these are some ways you can be optimistic at work.

One.

At the end of your day, note down things you were able to accomplish away from the failures

of the day.

Two.

There are different kinds of people in the society, try to find at least one quality

of a person you dislike at work.

Three.

Working can be sometimes stressful and tiring, but try to list at least three things you

like about working in your field.

Finally, let us talk about how Optimists make their recoveries and comebacks through stressful

situations.

A look at the bright side.

People with positive emotions tend to look at the bright die even after a moment of failure

or trouble.

They take that chance to recover from the unfortunate situation.

Control and change what you can.

Athletes who attributed failure to something they could change, like a strategy or a plan

would be more optimistic about the next time out.

This will help them to execute a strategy to be successful.

So these are all about Optimism and how it helps us to be better.

Stay positive and keep your mind ready to take on any challenge or a goal you get to

face to be better.

See you again with another video soon.

Thank you for watching..

I say, I am bald, and I wash my hands from you

Why do not you speak bald?

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 182 - Duration: 6:36.

WARNING: This video may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.

In today's episode we'll be discussing

the new supply and turret balance changes,

announcing the date of tankers' meetup in Krasnodar

and we'll also be talking about the recent eSports news.

Hello tankers!

It's always like this --

a week without an episode and suddenly there's tons of releases.

Let's discuss the latest update.

Firebird was slightly weakened in M0, M1 and M2.

The turret was too powerful on the low and medium ranks.

With Vulcan the situation was difficult.

On the one hand it became cooler --

the range, the damage, and the time until it overheats were improved.

On the other hand, Vulcan's turret rotation speed and

how fast the barrels spin up before firing were slowed down.

These changes were made so the turret would become more effective at long range,

and less effective in close combat.

And thanks to the increased time before the turret overheats

it's now possible to use Vulcan on any hull.

And Isida now grants more battle score points for healing.

So using it skillfully to heal teammates can now earn you first place in battles.

Now the new XT skin -- Titan.

Looks way expensive and sweet.

It can be bought in the Shop, or found inside containers.

The choice is yours.

And the last new feature from Tuesday -- new supply drop Nuclear Energy.

More than a month before the release tankers were guessing --

" what's with the new drop zone?".

But many guessed right from the start,

and you can find an article on Wiki about how the new supply works.

A proper use of Nuclear Energy will highly increase the chances of your team winning.

eSports news.

TOF Dream Team has entered its final stage --

8 teams are left, and only one clan will become the champion next week.

Grand Final will be played next Friday, August 31st.

Follow the news!

In Solo TOF a couple of surprises happened:

In Thunder competition a tanker with the nickname Bew25

won against one of the favorites -- Evo, who is known for his accuracy.

And in Solo Ricochet a player with the name…

wait for it…

Ricochet beat player Force --

the winner of Ricochet tournament from last year and the winner of TOF Hammer.

Tune into the streams and participate.

TOF Tandem is coming soon.

On Tuesday morning the Star Week began.

It's something like a six-day Crazy Weekend with stars mechanic from the last War.

Earn stars -- get prizes.

You will get rewards instantly by reaching the required number of stars.

In the end, you can earn 700 stars to get 15 containers

and the animated paint "Fall leaves".

And so it's more fun to earn the stars,

we have started the traditional Summer Sale.

During the sale in the game you can find increased droprates for Gold Boxes,

Double Battle Funds and discounts.

Today, Friday, there's a sale in the Shop -- 30% off.

On Saturday -- discounts in the Garage -- don't miss your chance to save!

And on the last day of the week there will be discounts on MicroUpgrades.

Upgrade your new purchases.

In the future we've decided not to use the mechanic of old Crazy Weekends with kills.

Now such events will be tied to stars.

We'll think about how long the events will be -- 2 or 3 days,

a week, like now, or maybe something else.

Tanki in Krasnodar.

It's time to reveal the full details of the meetup and share everything

that happens before the event.

So, the meetup will take place September 8th in Krasnodar,

and it begins 10:00 AM UTC.

We expect it to last for 5 hours.

And here's what awaits all guests at the event:

Traditional part with questions for the developers.

You're asking, we're answering.

Quizzes for knowledge of the mechanics and history of the game.

Party time.

Talk to like-minded tankers.

The weather is promising to be good - forecasts never lie.

And tons of cool prizes.

For this event we have partnered with Canyon and their cool gaming gadgets,

and also Prestigio brand, who prepared several tablets like these for giveaways.

Plus souvenirs from Tanki -- to summarize, it's gonna be hard to leave WITHOUT a prize.

Moving along!

"Tanki in Krasnodar" kit -- very good offer for 3 reasons:

First: the kit itself is good and has a cool paint.

Second: special fund.

Each purchased kit will increase the final prize pool by 20,000 crystals.

At the end we will run a giveaway among tankers who bought the kit.

Third bonus is for everyone who comes to the meetup.

Each tanker at the event will get a random prize --

a Tanki t-shirt, a gadget from Canyon or even a tablet.

The kit will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, on Saturday, August 25th

and will be removed from the Shop on the meetup day.

You can watch how the prize pool grows on a special site.

Crystals will be given away on September 13th.

Video of the week.

In the last episode we asked you

to record a video about how cool you play with the new Firebird.

You've sent us a lot of videos, and here's the best one:

For the next episode record a video with Vulcan and wear the Blue paint.

Good luck!

That's it for today's episode!

Don't miss the Star Week and the Summer Sale discounts.

Bye!

In the last episode we showed you an element of some equipment in the game,

and you had to guess where it came from.

The right answer is -- it's the lid from Isida M2.

Let's welcome the winners --

20 tankers chosen randomly from those who answered correctly.

And today's question is this:

How many tanks will be destroyed?

Most AMAZING Pools In The World! - Duration: 11:04.

From amazing infinity pools suspended in the air to one just above a gigantic waterfall,

here are 11 pools you have to see before you die!!

11.

Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands

Imagine taking a relaxing rooftop swim surrounded by one of the most breathtaking city skyline

views!

The Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is all about luxury and is the world's longest

suspended swimming pool.

At nine times the length of an Olympic swimming pool, it's also the world's largest infinity

pool, which means plenty of room for you and everyone else and not feel squished!

At 57 stories, you'll feel like you're away from the city, but still somehow immersed

in the excitement of it!

The view is so spectacular, it's supposedly the best photo-taking spot in all of Singapore.

When you're done swimming, you can dry off with a complimentary towel, then kick back

in a lounge chair and catch some shade underneath a palm tree, while enjoying one of the hotel's

poolside refreshments.

There's also a jacuzzi, of course with an ocean view.

So, how do you gain access to this posh pool?

You'll have to book a room.

As you'll learn about several other pools on this list, it's only open to registered

hotel guests, for everyone's safety!

10.

Ubud Hanging Gardens

If city skylines aren't exactly your thing, and you'd rather have a beautiful view of

nature, the pool at the Ubud Hanging Gardens in Bali might be more up your alley.

Like the pool at Marina Bay Sands, it's what's known as an "infinity pool,"

which gives the illusion that the water is spilling out of the pool and onto whatever

lies below.

The private resort is located in the heart of the jungle and hosts a multi-level, luxurious

swimming pool that makes you feel like you're floating among the trees.

While you soak in the two-story pool, you're surrounded by mountains, volcanoes, and lush

greenery.

For those moments when you're looking for a bit of extra privacy, fear not: each of

the resort's rooms provides access to its own private pool.

Nice!

9.

The Cambrian

Since we're on the topic of swimming amongst some of the world's most beautiful scenery,

let me ask you this: how would you like to experience the Swiss Alps from the cozy waters

of an outdoor thermal pool?

The Cambrian, a hotel located in the valley of a Swiss Alpine village known as Adelboden,

claims to look out upon "one of the world's most spectacular landscapes" - and once

you get a glimpse of the view, you'll probably agree that those claims aren't without merit!

The pool at the Cambrian was even named in TripAdvisor's "Ten Amazing Hotel Pools"

list.

If you ask me, its prestigious ranking requires less explaining than actual first-hand experience.

Must see in person!

If you're interested in swimming here, it's advised that you book several months in advance,

and be prepared to pay $100 for your ticket to the pools.

Switzerland is expensive!!

And now for number 8 but first let us all know if you've ever been to any of these pools

and if you have any others to recommend!!

And if you are new here be sure to subscribe and click on the bell to join the notification

squad!!

8.

Blue Lagoon

Iceland is known for its amazing natural waters, and boasts one geothermal spa that, while

not natural, is still impressive in its own right, and perhaps it's even worth the international

trip!

At any given time, the water in the Blue Lagoon's man-made lake averages 102 degrees Fahrenheit

(38.9 Celsius), with waters containing sulfur and silica, which are great for your skin.

Even more amazingly, every 48 hours, the water in the spa is completely renewed!

The best times to visit the Blue Lagoon are during the summer months, to enjoy the midnight

sun, or during the winter, to see the breathtaking Northern Lights.

The Blue Lagoon, which was built in 1976, is a family-friendly facility.

It's open to anyone over the age of two, and children between the ages of two and 13

years old get in for free.

You'll have to book your spot at this high-demand spa days or weeks in advance, however, so

make sure you plan ahead!

7.

Gold Energy Pool

You'll bathe like royalty 12,000 feet above sea level at the Gold Energy Pool inside the

St. Regis Lhasa Resort in Tibet.

This pool is lined in gold leaf tile, giving the water a "blingy" hue and making the

experience truly one-of-a-kind.

For maximum comfort, the heated saltwater pool is kept at a constant temperature between

78.8-82.4 Fahrenheit.

The Gold Energy Pool is meant for those who want to indulge in high-class relaxation - running

and diving are prohibited, so this might not be your best choice if you're planning on

bringing the kids along.

Poolside amenities include foot massages, cabana-style seating, and food and drink.

6.

The Library Pool

This pool located in Koh Samui, Thailand gets its unique crimson hue from orange, yellow,

and blood-red mosaic tiles.

It's bright and beautiful on its own, but it's showcased even better by the blue ocean

in the background, which stands in stark contrast!

The Library Pool is set against a backdrop featuring the Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui,

Thailand.

If you're into supporting local businesses, the Library Hotel has the added bonus of being

owned by Kasemtham Sornsong, a Samui native.

The minimalist, Zen-like hotel has 46 suites and a library with a collection of over 1,400

books.

Be careful though, this place is pricy!

5.

Mardan Palace

Now, if you're a true swimming pool enthusiast, your life won't be complete until you visit

the Mardan Palace in Antalya, Turkey.

Built in 2008 by an Azerbaijani businessman, the top-notch resort has been called Europe's

most expensive luxury resort.

The Mardan Palace is a pool heaven, offering three children's pools, two indoor heated

pools, and an impossible-to-miss main attraction: the biggest pool in the Mediterranean, which

has also been named "the best swimming pool in Europe."

(Although this is somewhat disputed since According to Europe, Turkey belongs to Middle

East; but according to the Middle East,Turkey is European)

And when you see it, you'll know why.

Surrounded by channels and even boasting an overwater walkway known as the Da Vinci Bridge,

the five-acre pool is nothing short of elaborate and elegant.

It's so big, the hotel looks more like it's surrounded by a lake or a pond, rather than

a swimming pool!

4.

San Alfonso del Mar Seawater Pool

The world's second-largest pool is in Algarrobo, Chile, about 62 miles west of Santiago.

The massive, man-made lagoon is located at the private San Alfonso del Mar resort.

Completed in 2006 at the sky-high cost of $1.5 billion, the pool held the Guinness Book

of World Records title for the world's largest pool until 2015.

The pool is an astounding 3,323 feet long, covers about 20 acres, and contains 66 million

gallons of filtered and treated Pacific seawater.

It's more than twenty times larger than an Olympic-sized pool!

Sadly, in 2013, a teenage boy died in the filtration system of the pool.

Since then, it has been closed to swimmers and can only be used by people with small

boats or proper scuba diving gear.

If swimming in one of the world's biggest pools is on your bucket list, you may want

to choose a different pool.

Or just head straight for the ocean!!

3.

Seagaia Ocean Dome

If you're more interested in swimming in one of the world's largest indoor pools,

head on over to the Seagaia Ocean Dome in Miyazaki, Japan.

This massive swimming pool, which was originally opened in 1993, is 300 feet wide and nearly

1,000 feet long.

At the Seagaia Ocean Dome, you'll notice an uncanny resemblance to a real Pacific island

beach, including simulated volcanoes and pristine sands.

It also features the world's longest retractable roof, and on those less pleasant days when

the roof must be closed, it's designed to simulate bright blue skies, so that you can

at least feel like you're outdoors!

If you're interested in experiencing the Seagaia Ocean Dome, you're in luck.

It was closed in 2007 as part of planned renovations of the Sheraton Seagaia Resort, but was reopened

just two years ago, in 2016 so we are good to go!

2.

Nemo 33

At 115 feet deep, Belgium's Nemo 33 was the world's deepest swimming pool from 2004

until 2014.

There is one major catch to accessing it, however.

You can't go into Nemo 33 for a standard swim.

It's mostly used for scuba diving lessons.

But if you have a passion for taking your skills to the next level, this non-chlorinated,

indoor pool in Brussels is probably your dream training facility!

It's open to tourists, as long as you're over 13 years of age and willing to undergo

the proper safety protocols, which includes wearing scuba gear.

If you're not a certified diver, you have the option of being supervised by a trainer.

However, Nemo 33 is not the place you want to go for a free-swim session!!

The water is consistently kept at around 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degree Celsius) and

the pool contains simulated underwater caves for training purposes.

Nemo 33 or a similar pool are about as close as one can get to diving in the real ocean.

1.

The Devil's Pool

This pool proves that there's a swimming pool for everyone - even the bravest adrenaline

junkies!

If you're the daredevil type, you'll want to skip all of the hotsy-totsy hotel and resort

pools I just told you about and go straight to the Devil's Pool, located in the Victoria

Falls of Zambia and South Africa - the largest waterfalls in the world, and one of the Seven

Natural Wonders.

The Devil's Pool is the world's largest natural infinity pool, allowing you to swim

right up to the edge of a massive waterfall!

To get to the Devil's Pool, you'll endure a rocky hike, along with a swim down the strong

currents of the Zambezi River.

This experience is not for the easily frightened: the river's currents essentially push you

right up to the edge of the Devil's Pool, with rock, otherwise known as the "Devil's

Armchair," acting as the only barrier between you and the 100-meter drop below.

You don't have to get too worked up, however - there are guides present to ensure that

nobody goes over the falls!

If you're going to visit Devil's Pool, you'll have to plan your trip around the

"dry months" of the year.

At all other times, venturing into these waters would ensure a most certain death.

Word has it that the view from the Devil's Pool makes the trip to get to it totally worthwhile.

Would you rather stay at a hotel or a resort OR experience the more adventurous swimming

pools that Mother Nature has to offer?

Let me know in the comments below!!

After all that swimming pool talk, I'm in the mood for a vacation, and I think I just

might take one - just kidding!

I'll be back soon with your next exciting video.

To be sure you don't miss it, be sure you are subscribed!!

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you soon!!

Heart wrenching stories of the second round of inter-Korean family reunion (1) - Duration: 1:07.

Staying with the family reunions.

This time we're going to turn the spotlight to the many heart-breaking stories of the

individuals who have been kept from seeing their loved ones for too long, in fact nearly

all their lives.

To help us do that, we have our Lee Ji-won with us in the studio today.

Jiwon can you tell us more about these families?

Daniel, there were many heart wrenching stories for this set of families as well.

In fact, there was one in which a parent met his child for the first time.

That's Cho Duk-yong , an 88 year old North Korean man who finally got to meet his 67

year old son, Cho Jung-ki.

The elder Cho left his family when his wife was three months pregnant with their son,

who never got to hear how or why his father had left them

Cho Jung-ki burst into tears as he talked to his father, telling him how much his mother

had missed him.

"Mother waited 68 years for you.

I'm glad you're well and healthy.

Never in my dreams did I think you'd be alive."

Dear First Year Self: V2 - Duration: 1:00.

Textbooks are a very important part of your university experience and they are also a very expensive part as well. You can find cheap, discounted textbooks from peers and upper years or even at the used book store that some schools provide.

Take advantage of the peer and individual tutoring offered on campus.

Really step outside your comfort zone. I know that coming from high school, or coming from a different university or where ever you are coming from, you really need to push yourself to step outside your comfort zone.

Really find a justification for why you are spending money on something because you might not need it right now and it might not be worth it. You might need to get something else.

Heart wrenching stories of the second round of inter-Korean family reunion (3) - Duration: 1:58.

One of the most heart wrenching moments was when one participant recognized a relative

she'd never known.

Yes Daniel.

Son Kyung-cheol and his sisters met with their aunt in the North, Moon Seong-ok .

Now although she is an aunt they have never seen before, they all burst into tears the

moment they saw her as Moon looks just like their late mother, who passed away 5 years

ago.

"You have a mole here and so did our mom.

You look so much like my mother it's as if you were twins.

When we walked in we thought mom had come back alive."

The siblings thanked Moon for staying alive, but also expressed regret, as they never got

to fulfill their late mother's wish of seeing Moon again.

There was also a story of siblings with different fathers,... that it was no less sadder than

any other stories.

84 year old Ri Keun-sook from North Korea met with her younger half brothers and sister

from the South.

Ri's mother remarried to a South Korean man when Ri's father passed away when she was

young.

There Ri's mother gave birth to Hwangbo Woo-young and his siblings.

They grew up together,... but Ri left for a factory in Wonsan, North Korea to earn money

when she was 14 years old.

And that was the last time they got to see her.

"Do you remember this?

You made this when you were 14 years old.

It's come back to you after 70 years."

Mr. Hwangbo said his mother held on to the piece of clothe Ri made,... and kept it close

and dear until she passed away.

Alright thank you for all the details on these stories Ji-won.

Heart wrenching stories of the second round of inter-Korean family reunion (2) - Duration: 1:15.

Now Ji-won we also heard there were families that got to meet after trying many times but

never quite got there.

Yes.

Choi Seong-taek and his siblings finally met with their sister in the North after 20 years

of trying to reach her through these family reunions.

They had registered 18 years ago,... but their sister Choi Seong-soon couldn't be found because

she'd been living under a different name.

This made the reunion all the more dramatic.

"You changed your name to Ahn Gil-ja, so they couldn't find you when I registered 18 years

ago.

It would've been different if we'd met back then.

Then older brother was also alive."

Choi Seong-soon was 18 years old when North Korean soldiers abducted her while she was

attending class in college.

It was only when she had changed her name back to Choi Seong-soon that she was finally

matched with her siblings living in South Korea.

Nearly 7 decades of painful separation seemed to melt away the moment she spotted her siblings.

Jack Wilshere promises not to emulate Emmanuel Adebayor if he scores against Arsenal - Duration: 2:33.

August 25 promises to be a emotional occasion for new West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere

It's the day in which he could return to Arsenal for the first time since his departure earlier in the summer as the Irons are the visitors to the Emirates Stadium in what promises to be an interesting London derby

Having spent 17 years at the same club Wilshere has never experienced the feeling of coming up against the Gunners

Even when he was on loan at Bournemouth during the 2016/2017 season he was ineligible to face his parent club due to a Premier League ruling, but that's all changed now that he's officially sealed a move to the London Stadium

Barring injury, Wilshere will be in line to play some part against his former club this weekend and that's prompted questions about what he'd to if he scored

Some ex-players have celebrated against their old clubs - Emmanuel Adebayor for example - but the 25-year-old has insisted that he will remain respectful to the Arsenal fans should he find the net

No, I couldn't," he said in an interview with the Daily Mirror. "I won't celebrate out of respect for the fans because of the support they have shown me over the years

"If I did score, I'm sure deep down they'd be happy for me, but it wouldn't be right to celebrate

"The day I was going to sign for West Ham, my dad said, 'You are going back to Arsenal in the third game'

It is going to be weird, but now I am building up my fitness and the most important game is our first one – Liverpool away

Wilshere is one of 10 new signings made by Irons manager Manuel Pellegrini this summer

He has played 90 minutes in defeats against Liverpool as well as Bournemouth as the Hammers are still trying to find their feet under the Chilean tactician
