Youtube daily report Aug 24 2018

Why are you here today?

Do I have to keep repeating myself? I'm pregnant and need help.

I don't really know exactly when I'm due.

>> I get November 9th. >> November 9th? That's my dad's birthday. Are you really sure?

I am concerned about the drop in your blood pressure.

Oh, does that mean something is wrong with the baby?

Hi Ms. Spencer, my name is Ian Cameron, and I'm going to be your nurse today.

Now we are going to check your fetal heart rate and your vitals,

>> but first we're going to feel to determine the position of the baby. Okay? >> Okay.

Oh, I can feel the bum, I can feel the back on the right side.

I don't seem to be able to find the heartbeat here, so let's try another area.

I feel pressure down. I can feel it, the baby is coming.

I don't really know what's going on around here and I don't really care, all I know is that nobody has been in to see my wife.

>> Okay Betty, your vital signs are done. >> But I still feel dizzy and light-headed.

I don't know how I feel.

Good morning Betty. How are you feeling today?

A lot better.

Как учиться в Корее БЕСПЛАТНО? KGSP 2018: My experience (with subs) - Duration: 10:23.

Hello! My name is Sveta, also u can call me Lana

and I won the Korean Government Scholarship this year

I receive a lot of messages where people ask me how I did this

what documents I sent and what questions I was asked during the interview

that's why I record this video :)

The grant competition is held twice a year: in September for the undergraduate and in February for the graduate

Also, twice a year the guides come out, which are a kind of instruction for applicants and there is information on documents, as well as on universities and specialties

A link to the guide which I used, I will leave under the video. If you would like a detailed analysis of the necessary documents, write in the comments:)

As for me, I discovered this scholarship after arriving from an internship in Korea at the Chung-Ang University. I decided to try, although I had no confidence, because if you look at the statistics for Russia, the grant is received mostly by people with a good level of Korean

A very difficult question is which track to choose-university or embassy. The scheme for these tracks is slightly different

For the embassy track, you first give the documents to the embassy, then you are called to an interview, then if you are chosen, you then may be selected by the office in Korea, and then by one of the three universities

For the university track, you send documents to one chosen university, they may interview you, then you must be selected by the office in Korea and then you are practically in

In my opinion, u can choose the university track if: -you already studied at the university in Korea as an exchange student and someone can recommend you

you have a certain university in mind and this is not from the top three. Although my friends were accepted there through university track, this is still too much risky

if you have chosen a regional university outside of Seoul

your country's embassy accepts documents only from people with a topik exam (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), but you do not have it

I first considered only the university track, specifically Sogang University, because, judging by the statistics, I had little chance with embassy. But something clicked in my head and I have chosen Yonsei, Ewha and Pusan

I did not have a topik, but I had a diploma from the Chung-Ang University, where it was written that I completed a course of Korean language (elementary and intermediate)

So, what I had were: - bachelor diploma from the Moscow State University (cultural studies). The average score was 98%

exchange student diploma. GPA is 92,7%

-2 certificates from the 11th grade (good academic performance and organization of school events) -6 sports certificates (archery) and a sports record-book (candidate to the master of sports)

In general, if you have sports awards and achievements, be sure to attach them! In my opinion, this is very important

-certificate from one of the British universities (English language courses) - ielts, 7.0

this is all that I had, not a perfect set:) It is very important to notarize and, where necessary, translate your documents. However, in my opinion, your written essays can play a much greater role than other documents.

In my case, in the first essay I wrote my brief autobiography with reference to archery and Korean culture. I tried to imagine myself a person who would read it, so wrote the whole thing as interestingly as possible, and also tried to show the degree of my love for Korea

The second essay is a study plan, there I described various subjects that I want to study, and also why I need all this. I advise you to go to the site of the selected universities and see the list of subjects, and then describe their importance and a need for you

The future plan should be carefully thought through. People should understand that you really need this education, so I strongly recommend that you describe your professional plans as accurately as possible

Do not just list the number of professions you are interested in. In my essay I connected my future profession with archery and strengthening of the relationship between Korea and Russia

I sorted my documents into 4 folders-1 for the embassy and 4 for universities. I chose the folders in the colors of universities and put stickers on them

There were folders of other candidates in the Embassy (there was a container) and they were absolutely identical transparent ordinary folders. I panicked at first, but decided not to change anything😁😥

After some time they called me and told that they wanted to invite me to an interview tomorrow. I burst into tears (shame on me)). I would like to talk about my interview in a separate video because there will be quite a lot of information

I feel like I have told everything I wanted to, do not hesitate to ask questions :) Good luck and bye! :)

I don't think you're controlling.

I think...

I was insecure, and you wanted me to be a better person.

And I am now.

I've done the work. I have changed.

A lot.

Except for the fact that I'm still in love with you.

You still love him?

So musc.

Then you don't give up.

You work on it.

Your sovereign queen has been betrayed,

in an unforgivable way.

And if he thinks he's fighting a spoiled princess, he's wrong.

I'm now a mother defending her son.

What kind of husband would I be if I let you go?

What kind of queen would I be if I did not defend my people?

I love her!

I love her with every breath I breathe!

If we let my brothers win,

nobody will be safe.

Especially our children.

I will love you forever.

You shall be queen!

Aren't you happy?

They are two queens already.

I would be the third queen.

And marriage is a wretched thing.

It's not like it is for her.

We'll never be who she is.

We'll never have what she has.

You think you can do as you please while I always do as you bid me?

Well, think again!

Do I have your consent?

You dare to ask me that, knowing very well you do exactly as you please with or without my say!

You must see I had no choice.

Nor do I.

I would do nothing to hurt any part of you.

Don't be such an idiot.

I thought that this marriage was for me.

But it's not.

It's all for them.

Do you want to be a queen?

No.

I want to be the queen.

Through you and your children,

I'll have found a line of kings.

If there weren't me, neither the Dynasty, nor the State would even exist!

Your ambition will be the death of the boys,

and when they're all gone, you put me on the throne!

You love the crown more than us!

The State you're talking about is mine! It's me!

Do you even know how many times I died trying to save you and your brothers?

I would like you, to kill me. It would hurt less.

The Secret To Writing Lyrics - Duration: 6:47.

hey, welcome to 12tone! so… lyrics. we don't tend to talk about them much on this channel

'cause I'm very easily distracted by cool harmony stuff, but it's hard to deny their

importance.

they're the first thing most listeners will identify with in any given song, and they're

the clearest means of conveying your story, so since, as a singer, I do have a background

in lyric writing, I suppose I might as well address the elephant in the room.

lyrics are, in a way, one of the most mysterious elements of composition: we can talk about

how a minor key makes the harmony sound sad, or how large leaps make a melody sound powerful,

and while those are both fairly broad generalizations and not necessarily true in any specific context,

at least they work as guidelines.

but for lyrics, it can be hard to even get that far: sure, mentioning crying will probably

make your lyrics sound sad, but language is so complicated and there's so many different

ways to say the same thing that even finding a good starting point for structural analysis

becomes a daunting task. and yet it's hard to deny that great lyrics and great lyricists

do exist, so what's the secret?

well, it's surprisingly simple: practice.

ok, that's not super helpful, so let's get a bit more specific: practice writing poetry.

I mean, it makes sense, right?

lyrics are basically poetry set to music anyway, but if you strip away all that extra stuff

and just focus on the poetic structure, you quickly realize something incredibly important:

words are more than just their meanings.

they're also made up of sounds, and those sounds are the fundamental atomic structure

from which we build lyrics.

the most obvious part of this is rhyme.

I suspect you're already familiar with the concept of rhyming so I won't spend too long

on the basics, but there's actually a lot more to it than you might think.

the version you're probably thinking of right now is the end rhyme, where you rhyme the

final syllables of two different lines, like in the classic BNL song One Week, which contains

the very meaningful line "chickity China, the chinese chicken, you have a drumstick

and your brain stops tickin'."

and yes, chicken sounds like tickin, but that line actually contains more than just end

rhymes. both those words contain that "ick" sound, and we can find that same syllable

in other words, like "chickity" and "drumstick".

this is called internal rhyme, where the rhyming syllables are buried inside the line instead

of just sitting at the end.

adding internal rhymes to your lyrics can help provide a bit more cohesion, making the

whole thing feel like one composed piece instead of just two lines that you haphazardly tied

together.

you don't even have to connect these internal rhymes to the end bits: check out the use

of "China" and "chinese", whose first syllables unsurprisingly match as well.

that particular example may seem like cheating if we cared about what the words mean, but

from a strictly phonetic perspective, it totally works.

internal rhyme is a huge part of writing more advanced lyrics, and if you want to learn

more about it, the best place to look is probably hip-hop, where they're so common that they

can even replace end rhymes, blurring phonetic structures across lyrical lines to tie everything

together into one giant, complicated rhyme scheme.

it's really fascinating.

check out Cardboard Castles by Watsky for a good example.

but we're still just looking at rhyme placement: what about rhyming itself? from an analytical

perspective, what is a rhyme?

I mean, sure, it's when two sounds sound the same, but what does that mean?

well, all the examples I've used so far are what're called perfect rhymes, where the entire

end of the syllable or word is the same, like boom and zoom. but boom also sounds like dune,

which has no m, and it sounds like bam, which has a completely different vowel. this brings

us to what are called slant rhymes, where the words are kinda similar but not quite

as close.

we can break these into two groups: assonance, where the vowel sound is the same, and consonance,

where the consonant is the same.

liberal use of these sorts of semi-rhymes, especially for internal stuff, can really

help your lyrics sound deep and polished without limiting your word choices too much.

you just have to be aware of it.

but rhymes aren't the only way in which the sounds of words can affect your lyrics.

possibly even more important is the impact of accents.

not, like, sounding British or whatever: in poetry, the word "accent" refers to the specific

stress pattern in a given word. for instance, in the word "explode", the emphasis is on

the second syllable, whereas in "syrup", it's on the first.

in normal speech, these accents just fall wherever they want, but in poetry they're

often very tightly controlled: for instance, Shakespeare often wrote in iambic pentameter,

which meant that each line consisted of five iambs, which is a fancy poetry word for the

accent pattern of "explode".

the patterns don't have to be tied to the words, though: for instance, in the famous

line "shall I compare thee to a summer's day", "summer's" has the accent on the first syllable,

making it what's called a trochee, like "syrup".

but it's placed in such a way that it's actually split across two iambs, so if we zoom out

and look at the phrase "a summer's day", it works just fine.

traditional Western poetry tends to stick very closely to its accent patterns, which

gives it a sort of rhythm that you don't find in normal speech.

when I say "shall I compare thee to a summer's day", the alternating pattern of on and off

syllables creates an almost musical quality all on its own, and the sentence just rolls

off the tongue beautifully.

but lyrics are different, because music already has rhythm.

that's what drummers are for.

this means we don't have to be nearly as strict with our poetic meter, but it doesn't mean

we get to stop caring about accents.

whatever melody you're singing, there's going to be emphasized notes and less emphasized

notes, and in my opinion one of the biggest differences between amateur and professional

lyricists is how well they line up those accented notes with the accented syllables of their

lyrics. it's a really big deal: once, in a college, a friend of mine played me a song

they wrote, and the only thing I remember about it is that they said the word "secret"

but put the second syllable on the downbeat.

that stuck with me, and not in a good way.

finally, I know we set aside meaning earlier 'cause it's hard to quantify, but practicing

poetry can help with that, too, or at least it can help with one of the most important

aspects of it: imagery.

being able to evoke emotions and ideas indirectly is crucial.

for instance, Ben E. King could've sung "when we're scared", but instead he went with "when

the night is cold and the land is dark, and the moon is the only light we'll see," and

I think most people would agree that that's way better.

poetry, again, strips away a lot of the other tools that music has to make people feel things,

forcing you to invest as much emotional resonance as possible into the actual words you're using.

plus, if you follow the forms we talked about earlier, it kinda just becomes a lot harder

to use the same line over and over.

after all, there's only so many words that rhyme with "sad".

so yeah, poetry's awesome, but how do you get started?

well, I'd start by finding something to write about.

something you have an emotional attachment to, like a loved one, a hobby, or a treasured

object.

it can be anything you want, just make sure it means something to you.

then you just… write a poem about it.

if you need some more guidance, I recommend writing a sonnet: they're a bit old-fashioned

but they've got a great structure for practicing a lot of the stuff we mentioned earlier.

we did a whole video on sonnets a while back, so if you want to know how they work, there's

a link in the description.

all in all, the conclusion here is probably fairly obvious: the more time you spend playing

with language, the better you'll get at it.

poetry is like the pure, distilled form of lyricism, and writing poems is like doing

isolation training at the gym, which I assume is a thing people do at gyms. there's no formula

for great lyrics, anyone who says differently is selling something.

but if you want to get better, probably the best thing to do is just write some poems.

plus, if they're any good you can just set them to music later and boom, free lyrics.

it's really that easy.

Conbruv T33 Mini Spy Camera Review - Duration: 3:35.

Hello my name is Mark, welcome to my review channel, today we're going to take

a look at the Combruv mini spy camera.

The Combruv T-33 1080p mini hidden camera certainly is a mini camera you

can see there's really nothing to it, it's very nicely styled fits in hand nothing

on the bottom and it's not really anything to this at all really, there's just the

main camera on the front, there's nothing around the left-hand side, SD card slot,

USB and indicator lights on the back, and a reset hole on the right hand side.

Nothing on the bottom and on the top you've got the power and motion sensor

toggles. It comes with a micro USB cable for charging, instructions and various

other bits of paraphernalia for you to have a look through, well worth having

a look through the instructions it's not completely clear [how to use it without instructions], a reset pin, micro SD to

USB card converter so you can pull the footage off and a holder. This has a

sticky pad on one side and it's magnetic and it won't stick on either side it

only sticks on the bottom of the camera and that at least gives you a few

options although it is light enough if you want to use a bit of Blu TAC instead.

This however has the advantage that it swivels round so you can get the camera

at certain angles. Those little lights you see are to do with the night-vision

ability. Tthe manufacturers claim a one-year standby and all you have to do

is pop it in a discreet location and it can record up to six hours during the

day and three hours at night it is motion activated so this footage was

captured because it picked up our cat having a little wand around outside so

you do want to be careful about where you place this, maybe don't place it in an outdoor setting.

You can hear sound is recorded but depending on how large the room is and

where you've got the camera place you may find the vocals a little muffled.

Pop this in a dark room and it can use night vision there is a slight issue though

that when the light is a certain level the camera is not quite sure that you

should use night vision or not and you get this strange disco effect at least

it is still capturing things on camera so you would still get the

motion-activated footage once it is dark enough and it locks on it does

provide a nice steady image which when you consider this is a tiny little

camera I think is pretty good. Date and time info on this is incorrect I didn't

realize there's a file on the SD card you edit that and when it's recording it

will show you the correct information.

This is just a quick test of the camera and the sound, you've already seen some demo footage

I thought I'd pick it up and see what happen if you spoke directly does the voice nice and clear, I found on my

test you can just about hear the vocals in the room so it's suitable for I guess

spying if you want to this is a little spy cam if you want to see what's going

on while you're out pop this somewhere which is out the way a bit discreet come

back grab the memory card see what's been going on if you feel the need

spy on someone this is potentially an option it's got 110 degree lens so you

saw it's got quite wide angle, picture qualities okay, sound quality can be a

little bit poor. I hope you found this short review useful if you want to learn

more I've put a link in the description below if you haven't really please consider

subscribe to my channel thanks for watching I'll see you next time.

BTS release new version of 'Idol' featuring Nicki Minaj

BTS have released a new version of their track 'Idol' – this time, with Nicki Minaj guesting on vocals.

The original track is taken from the South Korean group's latest release 'Love Yourself: Answer', which marked the final installment of their Love Yourself series.

According to the Seoul Economic Daily, BTS reached out to the rapper after completing Love Yourself: Answer.

Minaj gladly accepted their offer to appear as a featured vocalist.

Minaj also shared the track, captioning a screenshot of the song "#Idol @BTS_twt Uh!!! What's Good KOREA?!".

Earlier today (August 24), Liam Payne tweeted about the group's release, writing: "Super proud of @BTS_twt I told my label about them a while ago it's a pleasure to release the same time great music boys well done.

BTS will be embarking on their first European tour in October – including two shows at London's O2 Arena.

The hugely popular K-pop stars will play two shows at the huge venue on 9 and 10 October, their first ever performances in Britain.

It'll then be followed by a string of arena-sized dates across Europe, including Amsterdam on 13 October, Berlin on 16 and 17 October, and Paris on 19 and 20 October.

The boyband, consisting of members RM, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook, have amassed a huge global following – becoming one of the leading global K-Pop exports.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj fans were left confused last night (August 23) after she gave an unexpected shout-out to former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during her radio show.

"Shoutout to Margaret Thatcher", Minaj was heard to say.

The comment came only moments after she likened herself to US Civil Rights hero Harriet Tubman and soon resulted in widespread confusion among fans.
