'I appreciate your well wishes and understanding + I'm sorry.' P!nk on Twitter  Fans were quick to sympathise with the star, who is known to put her all into every show she does

Get better soon!'  Getty  The US songstress arrived in Aus last month with her husband Carey Hart, and two children - Willow Sage, 7, and Jameson Moon, 18-months

The Polari First Book Prize Short List reaction video - Duration: 19:03.

hi hello my name is Oly Bliss this is my channel #Bookdraw for those who don't

know I enjoy looking at queer fiction and occasionally I create little images

out of the books that I review today I am looking at a shortlist for the Polari

prize so the Polair prize has actually been set up since 2011

I only just recently found out about it I know everybody is talking about the

Man Booker Prize which is a great prize and very interesting I'm personally less

bothered by the kind of prize driven agendas with a Literature but when I

came across this one I was very keen and interested because it's a uk-based award

for debut novelists who are interested in LGBT themes so I thought why not do a

little shout out for this prize and some of the nominated authors that have been

put within this so I'm going to take you through my kind of gut reaction to the

sixth which have been shortlisted they will be announced over in October and

what I've kind of trying to do for myself is because I don't wanna I don't

want to commit to having to read six books by October I mean I could do that

I could but I'm too much of a mood reader and basically I just want to try

and draw a bit of these ones which have kind of been highlighted as really good

books and introduce them into my diet so if you want to read along with me and

allocate kind of one book per month but those are ones which are try and

focus on over this next period that's partly the reason why I don't like

knowing about short lists and long list is because it kind of drives you towards

certain books which i think is great in terms of highlighting um some but it

feels like it's the this other collective unknown group of people who I

haven't kind of attachment to who are going these are the books

you should be paying attention too! so what I usually do is just kind of sit

back watch what everybody else is saying about those books and I do love watching

a good prize review or shortlist review and there are loads out there because

and when people start actually reading them you can then kind of make a

decision and you kind of draw a bit of an insight about those books but with

this one because it's kind of lesser-known

I thought well my channel is about queer books so it might as well champion it so

if you want to take a look down the list below our order them about into what I'm

likely to do over the next few months and I'll try and read them but I love a

good buddy read I do a few through Voxer usually so if even if you're not someone

who is making videos and a creator that doesn't matter

excuse me and I've done it in the past with people who don't do that but they

want to just talk about books and that's totally cool and I'll kind of create a

little group around rockzo and we can just have a chat around a book a month

and if you don't like the order which I've done it in but one of the titles

really stands out and you want to read them real soon get in touch because I'm

very flexible this is totally a fluid thing I just want to have a chat about

book and have do it with some other people if you want to because that would

be kind of cool it's really nice to actually it draws out different things

with reading but I don't want to over commit myself don't like I will try and

do a book a month I think that's the kind of achievable goal for myself

anyway so just going through the books which have given me kind of a gut kind

of feeling in terms of what I I'm excited by I will go

from least excited to the most excited and the reasons why so first of those is

Elmet which is by Fiona Mosley and the reason why I've just been and I'm less

excited by this is just because it has been so torqued up by everybody else

that I feel like I've practically read the book already and because so it's I

know that it's gonna be involving a kid called Daniel who is living with his

daddy and his sister and they want to have a kind of isolated life experience

and there are these other people who are trying to claim where they live or how

they live and I think it's about kind of family relationships and his sexuality

slightly and I'm just like I grew up in a rural area and I like not much

happened I'm not sure if I care too much about the story in general

I'm sure the writing is great as a debut novel wicked I feel like I've kind of

lived the experience vicariously through other people at booktube and nothing in

anyone's reviews has made me go oh my god I really really want to read this

book so that's why it's just for me personally one which I'm less excited by

but it's now available on audible I'm not being I'm not advocating for do but

it's only like a seven hour listen so it might be said one which I might just put

on my headphones once I've got a credit and give a go through that way so the

next one was in my order of preference is Transmission which is a memoir by

Alex Bertie and I like this is also to say like I am interested in all of these

that's where I'm going to be reading them it's it's in terms of like a kind

of casual okay yeah that's interesting up to oh really oh my god I want to read

this book with some states but this is Alex's memoir looking over the last six

years from transitioning from female to male and how

his story of coming up to his friends and family taking hormones dealing with

healthcare system I have like explored a bit of trans narrative in the past and

I'm kind of looking for narratives which beyond that time just that transition

research stage and just about kind of living stories because I feel like I've

I've read and listen to some of that transition narrative quite a bit and I

don't think that's the only story that someone going through transition or who

has transitioned has in their life there are lots of other interesting things

that happen to that person regardless of which way records and I'm not curious

about that story instead now I felt like I've consumed some of those

transitionary stories but I'm curious if also because this is based on real life

events and also this is a youtuber so I'm kind of gonna explore that as well

and I just watched um Alex's introductory interview and he's

pretty fine but also like very engaging lovely person as well and so far like

and I might be exploring that a little bit more as well yeah so the next one is

called Little Gold by Ali Rogers now I think a little gold is the name of the

the key character um but because just from what I've read it doesn't seem like

the the key character is named or sorry that could tackiness tops that of the

story but it's set in brighton m in 1982 and it's basically by about a boyish

girls adolescence growing up who forms a relationship with this elderly neighbor

called Peggy Baxter I can't even read my own notes and it seems to be of that

kind of feeling a little bit isolated facing a chaotic family and

for some reason she has this kind of wave system and solitude through this

little tree which is in the back garden to me this sounds like something that

Russell from inks and paper would be really interested in just because of the

older female character or like Simon - Simon savadge I'm less interested in this

kind of domestic growing up thing that is seems to be cropped out more and more

but I'm curious just because it's based it's based in the 80s and I'm more

interested in that as a kind of period of history and time having grown up and

lived it so part of means interested less suggestive editor like I'm not like

oh my god I really really want to read this but I'm curious about it so the

ne xt one is is one which I'm really quite excited for it's called pansy boy

by Paul Harfleet late and and it's a graphic novel and I'm aware of

Paul powerfully as an artist who has done some various different things

around Manchester predominately focused on this narrative around the pansy so he

goes to places where there have been acts of violence against people who are

predominately gay I think but I don't know if any kind of homophobic attacks

that have happened he's planted pansies as a kind of a healing representative in

those spaces but also a kind of call to action of why are these acts of violence

happening out in public and he's done this up and down the country and now

it's produced it as a graphic novel describing this story in France

create this change and so just as someone he's based more locally and I'm

really pleased that his work has progressed and moved into a graphic

novel and I'm hoping to see some maybe a little bit more insight to his backstory

and learning more about his work and also graphic novels are ace and easy to

consume so I'm quite excited for this one really pleased to see it in this

list I'm looking forward to checking this one out the next one I'm I felt a

little bit wrong for being so interested and kind of curious about this one but

this one's called Carnivore and it's and by Jonathan Lyon so this is actually

about a young man with a debilitating invisible illness I'm gonna have to read

this called I'll get this wrong apologize Fib-ron-la gearia?

I think Fibromyalgia err- it's some invisible illness

but he basically becomes quite self-destructive with this illness that

he's got and it leads to violence sex rape prostitution and drug abuse and

something kind of self-destructive in myself was curious about this character

and why he gets a buzz from hurting people and how that works this might be

like really perverse of me to be curious about this type of individual who takes

enjoyment from hurting others it's not something I personally identified with

and I was talking to some other booktubers I've had they've had comments

recently we're seeing that like I don't have a tendency to pick up really joyful

nice books I have a tendency to pick up the darker books and

what that exactly says about me but I do find these type of things like I like I

get a sense of buzz from getting into these other stories from the safety of

being able to read them and I like thrillers and I like Horrors

I do love comedies and dramas and everything else but I'm a little bit

dark in that sense like I and I enjoy being in a safe space and kind of

getting myself scared that might be ridiculous to other people but I'm okay

with it I don't mind putting myself into a situation as long as I feel and know

I'm safe and that I'm happy I go on a scary ride i watch the scary movie and I

will like the suspense of wondering when that next jump is gonna come and I feel

like this might be a bit of a thrill out and I haven't read a proper thriller for

for ages so I'm hoping that that would provide that kind of not neat I don't

need it in my life that's a really wrong but will provide that a little bit of

frivolity god I might be saying something really really bad and this

might be oh but so it took my interest which might sound really sensational and

really wrong but yeah the hook worked for me basically personally and then

finally the one which I'm most kind of excited and curious about is one called

Mussolini's Island and this is by Sarah Day my handwriting is atrocious I

just checked that yes Sarah Day I believe I have written it down so

Francesco has a memory of his father and a reminder in his head

give up but he's rounded up with a group of other young men and taken off to the

island of San Domino and from what gleam from this they're

trying to kind of put together a bit of a revolution and there appears to be a

bit of a love triangle thing going on where he's got a strong bond and

friendship with this one guy and some other guys that jealous of it but then

there's this third character who's female who seems to be going for a bit

of Francesco and the family I say no you don't want to get involved in that I'm

less interested in the kind of a love triangle drama or whatever that would be

kind of cubic love dynamic that's going on they're more interested in to this

idea that their revolution is occurring and those kind of power tensions and it

sounds like there's a bit of narrative going on around like the family's

involvement with what is happening around you and those who are elites and

supporters and those who create resistance and tension in that and I

just thought on a more political level this one sounded more interesting and a

bit more ambitious and so out of the six of these books and this book in

particular is the most appealing to me personally and so I'm most likely to

pick this one up first and consume it quite quickly out of the bunch and so

but what I will be doing and over the course of like the next six months as

opposed six books six months I might whiz through a couple of them quicker

than that we just see what happens I am gonna take the 'Peg Approach' so Peg

really recently put up a video which is going to be looking at the book of man

Prize and she has actually got a grading system for herself where she is taking

different aspects of the book and giving them scoring between zero and

five and there's five areas so potentially a book can score up to 25

points effectively and and so she's going to be marking them and giving him

this rating I'm so I'm totally gonna adopt and steal Pegs approach crediting

to her she's changed her name recently but you can check her out at reading and

knitting on the porch and I had a link down to the video so you can see it and

her scoring system but for this short leg short list I will use this approach

and talk about it in my wrap ups just in terms of how these particular books felt

to me under that criteria basically that's loosely what I'm gonna do over

the next month and if you want to get involved it would

be lovely to share the experience with other people and I'll just keep on

updating you as it goes along and how it's been going

and using that Peg Approach but this was not initially my gut reaction

that I'm most excited for Mussolini's Island I think that's

probably going to be the most interesting book and but we'll see if

that stands to the test of the time and I'll update you once I've read through

all of them ago actually it was totally right and or no did that book sucked and

this was look at the book that was really for me and I hope that's been I

hope that's all made sense to you I feels a bit like I'm having a ramble

today but I will see you all again real soon okay

Bye!

Pirates coach has enough personnel to deal with injured Khuzwayo's absence - Duration: 3:50.

Pirates coach has enough personnel to deal with injured Khuzwayo's absence

Pirates coach has enough personnel to deal with injured Khuzwayo's absence.

Orlando Pirates have three goalkeepers in sharp condition vying for the club's position between the posts in the absence of Brilliant Khuzwayo for Bucs' opening Absa Premiership game against Highlands Park‚ coach Milutin Sredojevic has said.

Pirates announced this week that new signing from Kaizer Chiefs Khuzwayo will need ankle surgery and be out for almost a month‚ missing the beginning of Bucs' 2018-19 campaign.

The keeping department has been an issue for Bucs over the past few seasons‚ but Sredojevic said that new goalkeeper-coach from Premier League Swansea City‚ Andrew Sparkes‚ has Pirates' glove men in top condition.

"Goalkeeping is a department that is important and crucial to us.

Because we know very well that in any season goalkeepers usually bring 12 to 15 points‚" Pirates' coach said.

"And I could say that we have really strengthened our goalkeeping department.

From the point of coaching‚ where Andrew Sparkes has really sparked that department.

"From his methodology‚ and approach on the field and off the field‚ attention to the smallest details‚ analysing‚ looking to make the keepers mentally strong – which is really important for goalkeepers.

"Also looking to make them physically fit for whatever they need‚ because the goalkeeping department has a different range of movements and fitness readiness.

"Then‚ technically and tactically he has also been making them ready for the game model we are playing‚ where the goalkeeper needs to be like a playmaker.

He has done a tremendous job with the players.

"Regretfully Brilliant Khuzwayo had a problem and he went for that intervention that will keep him out for some time.

We hope he recovers as soon as possible to fight for his place.

"Regarding the goalkeepers who we have‚ they are used to our game model.

They have worked very hard.

"And if we as coaches talk about the outfield players‚ we are having a very big problem to decide who will be the first XI for the first game.

"But if anyone has the problem‚ at goalkeeper there are three serious competitors – Jackson Mabokgwane‚ Wayne Sandilands and Siyabonga Mpontshane.

They all are almost at the same level." Pirates finished runners-up in 2017-18.

Highlands are newly-promoted back to the PSL having won the National First Division convincingly last season.

They meet at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night (kickoff: 8.15pm).

TURBO TRAINING - Duration: 22:59.

the most important thing is

master builder belief every day on everyone the magic happens

confident

you

all right good evening everyone welcome to the house of zoom my name is Brett

Holtz and I am very fortunate enough to be here with you this evening on behalf

of an extremely talented Nike running product creation team back on our world

headquarters in Beaverton Oregon made up of designers engineers developers

testers and marketing thank you very much for inviting me to be here with you

in Tokyo the world's fastest city a mecca and source of inspiration for me

both personally as an athlete as well as professionally I've always been inspired

by Japan's rich culture in the sport of running and the passion that this

country has and culture has for the sport the heritage so proudly rooted in

amazing athletes and a passion for the craft of creating some of the world's

fastest racing and training products in fact I was just reading the other night

an article that talked about the 2018 Tokyo marathon and nine Japanese runners

ran under two hours and ten minutes in that race

we've only had 17 US athletes in history run faster than that in this country put

nine in one race under that time that's a pretty amazing dedication to the sport

and to the athletes and although our culture's are thousands of miles apart I

believe it's that passion that actually connects us in a way as the team that

I'm fortunate to lead back home is driven by that same passion in that same

obsession for the sport and for the athletes and for creating the world's

fastest product to give them every advantage over the competition this

passion isn't necessarily something that's new it actually started decades

ago right here in Japan as our two nike co-founders Phil Knight and Bill

Bowerman discovered critical partnerships that would help enable them

to bring their visions to life Phil Knight's vision was one of an athletic

company that could bring new innovative product solution

to maximize athlete's potential and bring inspiration to all athletes

Bowerman's vision was a little bit more specific as the head coach of the

University of Oregon track and field program he was all about the athlete he

was all about giving them every competitive advantage possible in the

product that he created for them Bauman wasn't only a coach and that was his

brilliance he was an innovator he solved problems in a different way whether it

was the product on his athlete's feet or even the surfaces for which they ran on

he was looking for every advantage for them to be lighter stronger and faster

than their competition stripping away anything that wasn't necessary from the

product oftentimes his prototypes would fall apart before his athletes could

even cross the finish line but that's how hard Bowerman pushed really breaking

the barriers and limitations of giving his athletes every advantage and

allowing them to win over their competition and lucky for us today 50

years later Nike running team is still driven by these same principles that

Bowerman and Phil Knight established all those decades ago we continue to carry

that same passion for the product an obsession for maximizing our athletes

potential we are a team that's on a mission and that mission is to create

the world's best running products and to give our elite athletes in all athletes

a competitive advantage no matter what that barrier is that sits in front of

them fortunate for us Nikes a company whose foundation was

built on winning and running through the decades we've had thousands of athletes

who have all shown us what winning looks like in their own way whether that was

Steve Prefontaine who told his competitors that they would literally

have to bleed in order to beat him or jumbo noid Samuelson who paved the way

for female distance running and proved that no matter what your gender if you

have a body you are an athlete and you can break that personal barrier and

Joanie still today is showing us how she breaks barriers no matter what the age

as well she continues to hammer out the marathon

so here's another look at yet another athlete who's doing a pretty good job at

showing us what winning looks like in our sport today his name is Ellen Kip

shogi and he's become a very good friend of ours at Nike running and as our team

has spent a lot of time with him and his family and his training camp in the Rift

Valley and elder at Kenya we realized he's much more than just an amazing

athlete he's a family man he's the leader of 40 of the most talented and

elite distance runners in Kenya and he also happens to be the fastest

marathoner in the world in a time of 2 hours and 25 seconds in the marathon

when we talk about creating product for the world's best athletes Elli kept

choking and the vapor fly have been an absolute game changer for us at Nike

running and also in how we look at the sport in general so the vapor fly elite

wouldn't exist today if we didn't have athletes like Elliot cap Choji or

chalean Flanagan Galen Rupp Mo Farah the list goes on to help push us and inspire

us to create better product our athletes tell us that if they don't have this

shoe they are at a competitive disadvantage we have had 100% athlete's

adoption in the vapor fly and we've never had a hundred percent of our

athletes adopt any new tracks bike or racing flat oftentimes these athletes

are receiving the product a day or two before the biggest race of their lives

and the second it goes on their foot they know that they have to lace up and

toe the line in that product to be their best competitors of Nike are calling for

the product to be banned that it can't be legal but we know that the I double-a

F which is the sport's governing body who we partnered with in the creation of

this product has deemed that the product is fair that it's us out innovating our

competitors and giving our athletes that advantage the vapor fly elite has

literally propelled our Nike athletes to take over 75% of this year's world major

marathon and world championship podium positions so what is the magic inside

the shoe that makes it possible well it's actually a system it's a

combination of a tuned carbon fiber plate that's sandwiched between two

layers of the lightest and most resilient foam in the industry

the carbon fiber plate acts as the track spike eight layers of articulated carbon

fiber layered pixel-by-pixel to take the shape of the foot heel to forefoot

stiffening elements are added and this helps to reduce the energy loss and

enhance the propulsion pushing the athlete forward stride to stride but the

real magic that is changing the game is zoomx foam it is the lightest foam in

the industry and has an 85 percent energy return which is the highest that

we've ever measured in our internal Nike sports research labs

zoomx is the competitive advantage that our athletes are experiencing and what

I'm most excited about and the reason that we're here today to talk about this

product is that the team didn't stop with just Elliot and the vapor fly elite

we believe that this experience truly is too amazing for just a handful of the

world's most elite distance runners what we have in zoomx we believe all runners

will want to experience when our athletes talk about that magic of zoomx

foam they really hone in on three key benefits the first is that notion of

extremely lightweight despite the amount of foam that we can put under the foot

the vapor fly is literally twice the stack Heights of the zoom streak which

previously was our fastest marathon shoe and yet we can still deliver that much

foam underfoot in a product that's lighter to is the energy return off the

ground we talked about 85 percent energy returned that means that midsole is

compressing at 85 percent and that rebounds right back and that's giving

that athletes that sensation of flying literally pushing their foot off the

ground and forward into the next stride and the third benefit into our some of

our athletes possibly the most important is the comfort the cushioning and the

protection of this foam before athletes have this product they started to feel

the t of the muscles of the pounding of a

marathon at Mile 16 17 and 18 now with zoomx foam underfoot they're

saying that they can actually get to mile 21 22 and even 23 before they feel

some of the onset of the impact of the ground and even more so the athletes can

come off and recover off of a hard marathon effort faster a lot of times

they don't even have to take a week or two weeks off like they did before now

they can get right back into training and get back into that next competitive

training cycle so all of these benefits are what we're in that racing product

and Elliott came to the team and said I want the magic that you're able to

deliver me in my racing product in an everyday training product luckily for us

it were there was a great base to start from as Elliott along with most of our

elite athletes trained every day in the Xoom Pegasus so to take the Xoom Pegasus

and pack it full of all those key benefits we knew there was only one key

ingredient one key innovation that could really deliver on those demands and that

was zoomx and when you combine the speed of zoomx and the world's fastest running

shoe in the vapor fly 4% with a name that's trusted and versatile as the Xoom

pegasus the pegasus turbo is the direct result okay so I'm gonna go into a

little bit more detail now about the tech of the Pegasus turbo and first as I

talked about we're gonna start with the Pegasus because that is the shoe that is

trusted by the majority of our athletes and runners over the decades so we're

gonna maintain that familiar fit and feel of the Pegasus by utilizing the

same last in that feature of consistent fit and feel of the peg on the peg turbo

the upper is going to feature a lightweight mono mesh and that's really

inspired by some of the translucency and transparencies that we've had in some of

our most recent racing and training products it's also some of the feedback

that receiving from our athletes that the air actually flows right through

that product keeping their foot cool and giving them that sensation that they're

flying and on top of the foot to lock mid-foot runners can lace directly

through the dynamic fly wire cables to lock the foot on top of the midsole for

containment and lockdown in terms of the ride our athletes asked us to save the

plate of the vapor fly for race day to make this a versatile all-day everyday

training product they wanted us to maximize the amount of zoomx foam

underfoot and we've done exactly that to deliver those benefits of lightweight

responsiveness and protection and we've also added a thin layer of react that

will sit closest to the ground and what react does is it stabilizes that zoomx

midsole and the power that's contained within that zoomx and it also offers a

layer of durability as we know that the expectations for a training shoe like

the Pegasus turbo will be to go well over 500 miles overall it's an

incredibly bold expression with the iconic drops whoosh and the literal

racing line graphic inspired down the forefoot and into the outsole the

expression of speed that equally matches the running experience that our athletes

are claiming and we're gonna go a little bit deeper into each of the specific

products in the Xoom family but this is the arsenal of product that sits behind

me all the way from one of the industry's most trusted products in the

Xoom pegasus and we talked about that edge that we're pushing with the world's

fastest racing shoe in the vapor fly 4% the Zoom fly is another amazing option

for runners looking for a faster tempo shoe inspired by that vapor fly and now

we have the Pegasus turbo for the first time bringing zoomx to an all day

everyday training shoe making all runners faster

first of all I just wanted to say I'm so excited to be here because it is my

pleasure to work on this product line and one of my favorite things about it

is because the technology is so specific and so intentional and each of these

models it makes it really easy to talk about because with this line like Brett

mentioned we have different experiences that are all part of the zoom experience

and so depending on someone's individual training goals their training plans or

the way they want to spend their day on race day we have the best possible

product that our innovation team can give and so I know you all are product

experts in your own right and so one of the things I'm really excited about is

to hear what you believe that local athletes here think is really important

and want to know about and so I hope some of that comes up in the Q&A later

but right now I'll just take you through the tech and we'll pass around some of

the parts for you to kind of feel and then ask more questions about I know we

talked about vapor fly it a lot but I want to talk about it just a little bit

more because it is such a special shoe and zoomx is truly a magic foam and when

we say it has 85% energy returned you may ask like what does that actually

mean and so we actually do compression testing in the lab and you apply a

certain force to the foam and 85% energy back is so much more than any of our

other phones where the average foam is typically closer to 60% and so that

extra 25% is a really big deal and the other thing I wanted to talk about here

is how each change on the shoe is really intentional it has almost a seamless

upper there is a seam on the medial side here but that is really purposeful so

sometimes when a seam is up the back of the shoe on a really minimal shoe

there's a possibility of some discomfort and so very purposefully this medial

seam gives you a glove one to one fit and then it allows the foam to wrap the

Achilles give you proper heel lock down but still keep a very smooth fit around

the heel and so here I'd have some components

of the zoomx phone and so as Brett mentioned there's an upper and a bottom

component and then the carbon-fiber plate is sandwiched in between these two

so I'll pass these around and I don't think I'm gonna have to tell you how

light they feel and so to move onto the fly as Brett kind of covered the vapor

fly 4% the fly has a ton of racing's DNA in it and yes it does provide an option

at a different price point for racing but it is truly a different experience

it uses Lunarlon foam and it has a plate that I'll hand out in a second that is

inspired by the 4 percent carbon slate you can see it has a similar profile and

you can see that with these ridges those are actually engineered and tuned to

have a similar stiffness as this plate but you'll also notice the stiffness is

different and that just goes to show that you need a different experience for

different types of runs and so because the foam is different it makes sense

that the physical properties of the plate will also be different and the

other things I want to point out about the fly if it has so much paper fly DNA

you'll see that there's an engineering mesh on both of them that's similar

because we wanted to deliver the lightest weight and strongest mess

possible that we clearly do for our most elite shoe and the last is also a Racing

last and it has stack Heights that are taller and those are also inspired by

the paper fly 4% and then the cool thing about the fly is that it's a little bit

more of a crossover model so if we talk about providing different experiences

you could train for a lot of miles in the fly but it also crosses over to

trigger to racing and so again providing the best experience possible depending

on what you need for training and parise days and so here we have a main event

the peg turbo which personally I'm really excited about because I have had

the pleasure of being in the testing room for this shoe for a long time so

it's really fun to start talking about it and so again the magic is in the foam

bringing that underfoot feel of zoomit into a training shoe for the first time

but there are also a couple other things that are really exciting that I want to

talk about so we all know that weight reduction for a trainer is really really

important and we took this really seriously when deciding my outsole so

rubber is one of the heaviest parts of the outsole on a training shoe and here

we have the rubber outsole for peg 35 and you can tear this to pieces you can

put on hundreds and hundreds of miles on it put the turbo is a souped up version

of peg and if you compare the outsole of these two you can see we kept rubber

where you need it it still gives you the traction and the durability that you

need out of your training shoe but the thin web is punched out where you don't

need it so in this way we reduce as much weight as possible to give you the fast

exciting snappy experience of the turbo that it's going to provide and it's

going to keep that magic of the zoomx bone so the other thing I want to

mention is the simplicity of the midsole and to me that's a really really

beautiful thing because our goal here was to give the zoomx experience in a

training shoe so use the chassis of the peg 35 but we have to basically magic

thumbs we have the lightweight and we have the energy return of zoomx we have

some added durability and stability of react we've maintained the stack Heights

and the drops of the peg 35 to make sure you have the same experience of a

trainer that all the peg users love but it's simple it creates a smooth

transition you don't need other glues you don't need anything else to change

that underfoot feel of the magic and last but certainly not least we have peg

35 and I know this came out a few months ago but again it's such an exciting

release for us because it's such a cool upgrade from the 34 we kept the

experience consistent with the Pegasus experience that everyone knows and loves

but again we have upgraded we've added some racing DNA a full-length zoom

airbag it's now embedded in the midsole that is the cush line foam that

everybody knows and loves and has the durability that people expect for peg

but this bag gives you an extra snap it gives you an extra aggressive stance and

it makes you feel a little lighter and a little faster you can see what's

consistent between the turbo and the 35 the heel collar top line slowly tapers

away from the Achilles and this is really important because it still gives

you the lockdown you need in your heel but that tapering away from the kilise

can prevent some irritation on the tendons that you can get from other more

traditional training shoes and so that's an overview of the tech we have but

again the cool part of this line is that depending on what your goals are for

race day and for training day there's a different way that you can use each of

these shoes and so for example Elliot of chogi we all know he kills it in a

version of vapor fly 4% and so he uses that on race day very successfully but

he also does some of his fastest speed work and part lakes in the vapor fly but

as you also know he wanted that underfoot feel in a more casual trainer

a little bit more flexible something that feels a little bit more everyday so

he uses turbo for tempo runs and for a long runs that he needs an extra kick he

wants to feel fast and he wants to snappy he also loves to train in PEC 35

and he'll use that shoe because it's consistent he loves it he's used it and

something that's a little bit more casual a little slower and something

that he just needs to recover and you also meet Julian Flanagan a little bit

later tonight but she also runs in the vapor fly 4% and that's the shoe she won

the New York Marathon and most recently and so with Shelley she does a lot of

her training speed work again occasionally in the 4% but she likes the

peg 35 the consistency the feel she gets from that and most recently has added

peg turbo to her runs again for something that's a little faster a

little snappier and then gives the same underfoot feel as the 4% and then I

think the cool thing with one way that Chilean runs is zoom fly she likes to

say for certain afternoon runs because if she's tired and she needs a little

extra snap she calls that her desert shoe because you don't want to eat

desserts all day every day but you want to feel really good about that second

run when you need the extra kick and you need the motivation to get through and

so there is your tech out of the zoom line something again I'm really excited

about and I hope you're excited about too so thanks everybody

Deck Cyber Dragon Post Cybernetic Horizon (Agosto/August 2018) + Analisis - Duration: 15:59.

Deck Name: Cyber Dragon

Variant: Pure

Type of Deck: Aggro

Main Attribute: Light

Main Type: Machine

Deck: Cyber Dragon

Difficulty(Control): ★★☆☆☆ - Medium

•Style of Play•

The style of the deck is to invoke monsters type machine in special way, which will then be used as materials in order to invoke our extra deck monsters to end the duel with battle

The deck can easily perform OTK, this due to the effects of the same Cyber Dragon, and to cards like Power Bond and Limiter Removal, cards capable of making us win the duel in just one hit.

•Strengths• 1.- Good control and recovery, besides being very good to do otk

2.-Good versatility of effects like increase ATK, deny effects, Special Summon, Piercing, destruction of cards and additional attacks

3.- Easy to get rid of annoying monsters of the Extra Monster Zone thanks to Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon.

•Weakness• 1.-One of the weaknesses of the deck is the poor defense that the Cyber Dragon monsters have. Also, can easily lose in a "Mirror Match" if don't have the indicated cards.

2.-It requires a lot from the cemetery to activate the effects of some monsters, as well as some spell and trap cards.

System Down: The worst card that can be activate us if we are unprotected. This card banish our machine monsters on the field and graveyard, leaving us alone at the mercy of the opponent

Imperial Order: We use a lot of spell cards to make plays and perform OTK, for this reason, Imperial Order will be the card that will stop most of our movements.

Lightt-Imprisoning Mirror: Classic side deck against light monsters. Light Imprisoning Mirror will not let us activate Light monsters effects either on the field or in the graveyard.

•Economic Recommendations•

•Another Styles of Play•

Invoked: We can take advantage of the deck attribute to invoke Mechaba in a faster way. In this style we will focus more on the invocations by Fusion.

Galaxy: We can change some cards to look for invocations of monsters of level 5 and 8, in order to invoke monsters of the extra deck that could control the game, monsters like "Infinity" or "Number 90"

Taiwanese Food: Cooking in Foodie Heaven - Duration: 14:35.

We're in Taipei and we're here at How Living Club.

We're going to do a cooking class, which I'm so excited about.

I love food and I love cooking.

So we're going to try making our own.

We're going to make beef noodles with a cucumber salad and bubble tea.

When I heard we were going to make bubble tea I couldn't imagine it but we're going to meet a chef

who's going to show us how it goes.

I feel like we're starring in our own TV show. -Hi everyone, I'm York.

I'm York.

He's our chef.

I feel nervous about my knife skills being beside a chef.

Please don't look too closely.

I'm ready.

You beat me!

He put this onion in the freezer for an hour?

Yes.

So it's…I'm not crying.

Thank you very much.

It would be only tears of joy.

Yes.

So much possibility in an empty pot, don't you think?

Olive oil to start. -Olive oil is best!

He says one tablespoon so I'm going to eyeball it here.

Maybe two.

Maybe two?

Maybe two.

Let's just go bananas.

That sizzle though.

Smells good.

Now we're cookin'!

Now you're a real chef.

So scallion, chili, is this ginger?

Ginger, yes.

Oh I love ginger.

And this one ice sugar.

Sugar and salt.

They're like little gem stones.

It's snowing.

Looks like Canada.

Make the…

Give it a stir?

Make the sugar caramelize.

It's so nice to cook 'cause when you're travelling you don't have a kitchen all

the time and I just find it so relaxing.

I love cooking.

That one is Taiwanese way.

Big one, big size.

If you're ever wondering how the Taiwanese way is to cut beef that's you're perfect

cut right there….size.

Perfect size.

It's perfect.

I was going to cut it again and York was like, 'Don't cut that!

Don't cut that.'

So we're using the pot to do the vegetables on one side and then the beef on the other

and I just dropped them all in and he said don't touch them for the first…

Just like making a steak.

…couple of minutes.

Ok.

Yeah, just like making a steak when you fry every side.

So the beef has been sitting here for a little while.

I wish you could smell this right now.

We need smell-o-vision, but we want all of the beef

to look like that.

So the sugar that we put in earlier is just caramelizing on the outside of the beef and

giving it so much flavour so York says to just let it sit a little while until it all

starts to look that nice brown colour.

So I'm just going to wait.

Just added the water so now the stock is really starting to…to build.

It smells so good.

So while the stock is getting a lot of flavour building, we're to make cucumber salad?

Yeah, cucumber salad.

For the side?

Ok.

This one's sugar, garlic, and rice vinegar.

Rice vinegar again?

Yeah.

Ok.

We cut the cucumber.

You can cut anyway you like.

Ok.

Someone cut like this, some cut like this but I…this way is my favourite way.

This one's too big.

There - that looks better.

Kitchen no rules.

No rules, ok.

No rules.

I'll fit right in.

You have to be careful not to…your wrist.

Yeah, don't slice yourself.

So garlic, sugar, rice vinegar with the cucumber that we crushed.

This is sesame oil.

So I'm allowed to try it?

Yeah, try.

If I could…

Oh that's good.

If I could I try a lot.

Yeah.

Try a lot.

Yeah, 'cause you're the chef, right?

I mean…

We're going to make pan-fried dumplings.

We're going to make that?

Of course.

It's easy.

Today is my first time to teach someone to cook.

Really?

Yeah.

Oh you're such a good teacher!

Thank you.

Thank you.

Are you serious?

Yes.

This is your first time?

Yes, my first time.

This is my first time too…making them.

Don't be so shy.

So this is white pepper in there, can you see?

That has a lot of flavour.

We use white pepper a lot in Taiwan.

White pepper, rice wine…

It's so satisfying when you see all the ingredients start to mix together.

I'm kind of nervous about this part.

It's easy.

This for you, this for me.

Don't put too much…otherwise you…difficult to eat.

How's that amount?

Maybe…

A little more?

Yeah, bit more.

Water.

Water?

Yeah.

Oh.

Oh to make it sticky.

Yeah.

Push.

Just one push.

Just one push.

Push, push, and push.

Like that?

Yeah, put together.

That doesn't look that bad!

Sort of.

Yeah, it's ok, it's ok.

First time.

Let's compare our dumplings.

For the first time it's good.

We're taking a poll: which one is better?

Which one is York's and which one is Eileen's?

It's not that hard to tell.

Push.

Oh!

That looks pretty good!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Just two.

Just two - ok.

Two ok.

The other way.

Look how good it looks!

Yes.

Ok, I don't want to mess up the other side.

That looks real.

It looks like a real dumpling.

Push.

Push.

Yeah!

Push like this?

It sounds like you're in labour right now.

I am labouring over this dumpling.

K there's my second one.

Oh that's nice!

Wow!

I'm getting the hang of this.

Dumpling master.

You can now call me 'dumpling master.'

While we've been making the dumplings over there our soup has been simmering on the stove

and I'm going to taste the broth again now.

Mmm I wish you could taste this.

Here.

This is all the ingredients you need for bubble tea?

Yes.

You need water, sugar, this one.

So first of all we mix the flour together.

So this is flour?

Yeah, uh potato…

Potato, oh, starch?

Potato starch.

Yeah.

I cannot conceive of making bubble tea.

I can't believe that we're making bubble tea right now.

It seems like a really complicated thing to make.

It's easy, it's easy.

Trust me.

He says it's easy.

It's more easy than the soup and dumplings.

What?!

Ok.

Just mix for you, boil the water, add brown sugar.

This reminds me a little of maple syrup.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

It's so good - and this looks a little bit similar.

For the waffle?

Yeah, for waffles, pancakes…I put it on everything.

Fried chicken, fried chicken.

Fried chicken, yeah.

Is _________-

I think York and I need a cooking show.

Yeah, this is your pilot.

Yeah.

This is our first time.

It has like a taffy texture.

So sticky.

Oh sweet lord.

Want to try?

Yes.

Take this one, cut.

You use the bubble tea straw?!

Yeah.

So we have the dough for the little bubble tea balls and as a cookie cutter we're using

the bubble tea straw which is perfect.

Yeah, it's perfect.

Because then it's the perfect size to get up when you're drinking it.

Yes.

My mind is…I had no idea that's how they made them.

Ok now repeat one hundred times.

A thousand times.

Yeah, a thousand times.

Your very own tapioca 'M'.

Yay!

I've always wanted one.

We're going to fry the dumplings now.: part two.

Part two.

These are going to get fried in here.

You made a spiral sun.

Just like that.

Just all in?

Yes.

Be careful the elephant.

This is why you don't make enormous bubbles.

For this reason.

We also made a heart, an elephant, and I made a little sand dollar, here's Marc's M,

and this looks like a little clover.

This is just a mistake.

I don't know why this is in here.

I think it looks like a skull.

Ok, it's a skull now.

And this we're going to call a smile.

Look how big the elephant is!

Yeah.

So beautiful, right?

That's beautiful.

So I'm putting some vegetable oil in.

Look at these noodles.

Now that's a noodle.

For you.

Try.

Look how beautiful that looks.

Mix it?

Yeah.

I need to be alone.

And the bubbles fit perfectly through the straw and now I know why.

So we're going to plate the cucumbers and York says to let them sit like at least three

hours and if you crush them then the flavour absorbs more quickly so you could let them

sit for a little less time.

But the longer they sit the more flavour they take on so overnight is even better.

These are going to be delicious.

Final touch for this soup: sprinkling the scallions.

Look at that!

We just finished the entire meal and I cannot believe that, with York's help, that we

made all of this together.

This is the beef noodle soup, these are the pan-fried dumplings, the cucumber salad with

a bit of chili sauce on the side and then the bubble tea and we actually learned how

to make the little tapioca balls in the bottom of this.

I cannot wait to eat this.

I mean I have been, you know, tasting it like you're supposed to as you go but to actually

see this all laid out in front of me and know that now I know how it's made I feel like

I'm going to appreciate this food every time I see it now in a whole different way.

Thank you.

Thanks for being my first teacher.

Yes, my first student.

Thank you so much.

I'll give you another hug.

Enjoy your lunch.

Thank you.

Nice to meet you.

This has been so much fun.

I still can't believe that I made all of those dishes with the help of York.

I'm going to try this at home and I'm probably going to miss him very much.

But thank you so much York and to How Living for this absolutely unforgettable experience.

Dandelions in watercolor - Duration: 11:27.

Hello everyone and welcome on De Papier et de Rêves' channel

I'm ursula and today i'll be painting with you some weeds

No it's not a joke ! usually i'm painting flowers

but today i wanted to paint weeds

I've seen those during a walk and found that they were very interesting

They look like thistle or dandelions i'm not sure

they are at the end of flowering and the seeds are ready to be spread by the wind

So they have big stems with at the top some woolly white stuff that are the seeds

and i thought it was very interesting to paint

because there is transparency and softness in it

but with some character to it as it is weeds

If you want to see what those weeds really look like

check out the blog, i'm writing a post on this video

and you'll be able to find the reference image on it

not a long time ago i did learn that it is possible to open whites and make very soft gradient by using vinegar

and it's from that technique i had the idea of painting this image

i wanted to try this

and i didn't work at all. I did try it out several times before

i just can't see any differences between with vinegar or without

Once again check the blog post where i explain everything

I've put some detail pictures of some of my test and overall it's interesting

so for this painting i'm not using vinegar as it doesn't work as i expected

i'm using only water to open those whites

I'm trying to keep my paper as wet as possible in order to have this softness in the gradient

But as it is so warm right now i keep spraying my paper with my water spray

If not i would create a imbalance of water between my paper and my brush and create blooms

For my first layer i start by putting some light color as the yellow

and slowly i add blues and greens and starting to build the colors softly

i've kept some white areas for the dandelions. I'm really not sure how to call them

And i try to keep all the gradients very soft, and extra soft in the seeds areas

so that i have a very soft painting for now

In order to have lots of different greens but keeping them cohesive

I'm using the same yellow all the time but with different blues

So cobalt blue, ultramarine blue and even at some point some cerulean blue

So my greens have a common point but still with variations

You can see that my paper is drying very fast as my last brush strokes

with a darker color stay in place and doesn't bleed

I'm ending this first layer by sprinkling a little bit of salt in order to get more textures in some areas

Once this first layer as dried you can really see the effect of the salt on the bottom right corner

You can also see that the gradient on the dandelion's head are really soft and nicely blurred

Now my work is all about adding some details in order to understand the image better

As it's quite an abstract one

I'm not sure that one can tell right away that there are dandelions

I'm starting with shaping the white balls

I'm adding a little bit of shadow at the base to give the impression to be attached to a stem

And then i'm adding a light shadow on the side to give an idea of light and reinforced the wooly feeling

I'm also adding darker colors in order to creates a big contrast with the white wooly balls

The more dark i put on the side the more bright and light the dandelion's heads will appear

To obtain this dark very dark green color

I'm using a mix of winsor yellow

ultramarine blue and neutral tint which will darken the color a lot

And then i can tweak this color with cobalt blue or viridian

in order to get a cooler tone or a greener tone

i like to vary the color for a more natural effect

to create all the stems, leaves and twigs in this painting

It's a work with my brush

A very light pressure on the brush or a heavy one

will vary the size of my brush marks

It's almost a calligraphic work and a very good exercise to learn how to paint with a brush

to learn what it can do and all the shape it can paint

Here i'm using a very flabby brush as it is natural squirrel hair

It has a tendency to keep the shape i gave to it when a bit dry

it can be a benefit or a flaw depending on what i'm doing

But it is a dream when doing this kind of calligraphic marks

I've tried a lot of brushes during this past two years

Synthetic hair and natural hair (but not a lot of natural hair as they are expensive)

And i have to say that if there's only one brush a beginner could buy it should be this Raphael 803 nº2

It can paint large areas and small details

So it's a multifonctions brush

And more i use it, more i found new way to use it. It's a must have for me !

Let's talk about supplies. At first i've used an Escoda aquario nº18 brush for the largest areas

And then a Raphael 803 nº2 for details

For the colors i've used cobalt blue

Ultramarine blue

Cerulean blue

Viridian

Winsor yellow deep

Burnt sienna

Neutral tint

For the paper i've used Arches rough

And i keep adding details steps by step and where i feel like it

I think at this stage in my painting i totally forgot about filming

i was painting without thinking like i explain it in my previous video about the sky

where i was explaining that painting can be a tool against stress no matter what the final painting looks like

So i was in the same state of mind right now

So i'm adding some stems some flower buds, i'm blending some areas so that the painting is aerial and soft

i'm playing with colors so that when i paint on yellow the thing i paint is more green and vice versa

This way the different element are "speaking" to each other and become harmonious

I was a bit apprehensive before starting this painting

Because i didn't know if i would be able to paint the softness of this weeds

But at this point in my painting i knew it will be a success no matter what

I think the wooly feeling of the dandelion's head are nicely shown

I love the contrast between warm and cool color, warmer on the top part and cooler on the bottom

It's like the sun is hitting the wooly heads and the stems are in the shadows

it's interesting

And it helps to make those white heads pop on the colorful background

This painting could be seen as chaotic as there's is a lot of things going on

But it's faithful to the image i had in mind. It's weeds and weeds are a bit chaotic

This video is ending, thanks for watching and i hope you like it
