Today I show you how I paint a bird wing using the technique
of shade and light to build its structure and give him his perspective.
Hi me it's Fanny Duhaime, I'm an artist painter and I gave myself as mission
to help you propel your career as an artist.
Today I'm taking you to my studio for a demonstration.
I'm finishing painting my Canadian goose, I still have a wing to go.
I wanted to show you how do I build the perspective using the technique
shadows and lights.
This technique will be useful for you all the paintings that you will realize.
It's not always necessarily thanks to lines that we create the proportions
and the perspective of a subject, but also a lot with the use of its shadows and lights.

I drew some guide lines, but I will paint especially while referring
to my reference photo.
I start with the left side of the wing because it's easier for me
since I am right-handed.
Here since we are painting feathers, what will to be important to give the realistic effect
and the good proportions is good place the shadows to define
the underside and the superposition of each feather, but also the area of light that defines
the top of each feather.
If these areas are crooked or misplaced, it will automatically miss realism
