one of the things we wanted to do was show
that everyday working hunters can take giant whitetails
but we also wanted to show
the lessons that we learn
from each buck we take on film
Well here are the lessons we learned from this weeks episode
number one sometimes you have to go out of your element
to get the job done
In our case we went out west
and Chris got that great buck
number two
sometimes you have to overcome the elements
to be successful
just keep grinding it out
even thought you aren't seeing deer
you are all the way out there for a hunt you may as well keep hunting
and number three
those bucks are still going to be there
even though you have cattle
even though you have weather conditions
big mature bucks
still got to feed
they're still there
and you have to hunt them
exactly like that
make sure you don't give up
on any hunt that you go on
Steve Stoltz and I have been partnered up here
for Buckmen
filming each other for the last couple of seasons
interestingly enough though
the last year when I killed kickers Steve was busy doing something else
and my son Josh filmed the kill
this year Steve was busy doing something else
and the outfitter Jamie Hanshew filmed the kill
so at this point I am not sure what value Steve is bringing to the table...
