Youtube daily report Aug 2 2017

My name is Debra Sowell and I am the Chief of Pediatrics here at Graves Gilbert Clinic.

Well we offer obviously child visits and we basically cover from the newborn nursery all

the way through quote unquote until they graduate from high school or they turn nineteen, kind

of whichever is first or last.

We provide preventative services, which includes a lot of times of course immunizations and

well visits and certain things that we do at all the what we call our well baby visits

and then as children are older obviously school physicals, camp physicals, sports physicals,

that sort of thing and then of course we provide sick care.

Another service that we offer is that we have a Developmental Pediatrician on staff who

does autistic screenings.

These are becoming more and more important.

Well immunizations are vitally important.

We have basically three sets of vaccines that children get.

One of course are what we call a primary series and those start actually the day they're born.

The first twenty-four hours they're started on Hepatitis B vaccine and then those vaccines

are given, a series of vaccines are given at two, four, six, twelve, fifteen, and eighteen

months of age.

Then we have the school age vaccines, which are usually given some time between four and

six and then we have the sixth grade/adolescent vaccines that are out there.

Obviously the primary set are to get everything in and protect against most common causes

of Bacterial Meningitis, to protect against Whooping Couch, which we still had an outbreak

of Whooping Couch within the last few years up in Edmonson County.

I always tell parents, this isn't something that happened in California, this happened

in Edmonson County.

We want to have our babies protected against that.

At the school age, those are just booster shots at the four to six age group.

They're vaccines they've already had, so we're boosting up against actually Polio, DPT, so

Diphtheria, Tetanus, and most importantly the "P" part of the Whooping Cough.

They get an MMR.

Measles, Mumps, and German Measles and then they get a Chicken Pox booster at that time

if they haven't had Chicken Pox the disease.

Then at the sixth grade, we add a new vaccine, which is a Meningococcal vaccine.

We get a Tetanus booster at that time with the Whooping Cough part of it and then we

also get the HPV vaccines.

So basically, every set of vaccines sort of has a different importance factor.

Mark Barlow Explains the Click Rule - Duration: 5:45.

Hello. My name is Mark Barlow. I'm the industrial arts instructor at BLIND,

Incorporated in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is the click rule. It is a tactile

measuring device. What I'd like to do is just start by going over the anatomy of

the click rule, and if I'm holding the the tube in both hands, in my left hand

at the end of the click rule is what I call the fence. It's a rectangular piece

of aluminum, and the fence has a front, and the fence has a back.

That's important. From the fence to the hook is what I call the tube. Past

the tube is -- on the right hand side -- is the hook. It hangs perpendicular to the

fence, and that's an important design feature of this tool as well. On top of

the tube is the knob, and the knob loosens to the left, tightens to the

right. You loosen the knob to the left, and slide the knob down the tube, and out

comes information. And the information is indexed on a 3/8 inch steel rod that has

been turned by the sixteenth of an inch. On the top of the rod, the maker then

grinds off seven threads and leaves in the eighth, grinds off seven, leaves the

eighth, grinds off seven, leaves the eighth, all the way up the information rod. What

that does is that gives us a tactile indicator of a half an inch. The click

rule is called a click rule because it clicks. So currently my information

rod is fully extended to the last half- inch indicator.

And I say to the last half-inch because, for some click rules, it's possible to

overextend it in kind of a half-click kind of way. You can bump in it sometimes

in between a click or kind of get a little over extension of the information

rod. So what I ask my students to do is to think that the end of the information

rod is zero, and then as students are learning to count this by the half inch

I ask them to count up the information rod from zero. So it is zero, half, one and a

half -- sorry -- zero, half, one, one and a half, two, two and a half, three, three and a half, all

the way up to six. Now I know that that is six because I can just get my

fingernail past the half-inch indicator or that six-inch indicator, and if I

subtract one click, if I click one in from the end of the information rod to

the front of the fence is now five and fifteen sixteenths. I cannot feel the

half-inch indicator, which is six inches, and of course I know that that is five

and fifteen sixteenths because I just subtracted one sixteenth. If I did not know that

that distance which I call a mystery click -- so if I did not know the distance

between the five and a half inch indicator and the fence, what I would do

is I would count this up from zero all the way up to five and a half and then I

would capture that. I have some students capture it with their pointer finger

nail. I tend to double-hand the click rule. I have my left hand

holding the body of the the tube, palm up. My right hand thumb nail captures the

five and a half inch indicator, and then what I do is I slowly and carefully

click down, I move the fence down into my thumbnail, and I count the

clicks as I go. So that is one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Seven sixteenths is,

ore seven clicks -- each click is a sixteenth of an inch --

and so that gives me seven sixteenths that I need to add to five and a half.

Five and a half is the same as five and eight sixteenths. Eight plus seven is

fifteen, so it is five and fifteen sixteenths. When I subtract, I support both

of my hands. I have the information rod firmly gripped in one hand, and then I

slowly click that rod into the tube. And sometimes what I find easiest to add

clicks is I literally pinch the information rod out of the fence, and I

kind of roll my thumb and my pointer finger in as I'm pinching. I kind of

pinch it out one little click at a time.

Now a lot of people think they can just get handed free stuff in life. That's not how it works

You have to work through

Everything they want. It doesn't work like that. You have to work through

The stuff that you don't really want to do

To eventually do what you love. I don't particularly like going to school

But I have to go to school to get a degree

to do what I want which is film stuff I

Can't just walk into a movie set and say all right. I'm ready to be a camera operator alright. I'm ready to direct this movie

It doesn't work like that

Then they will send me out and say I have to go to school and work through something that I do not want to do

To eventually get to the stuff that I want to do

That's why persistence is the most important thing in life and keeping a positive attitude is most important thing in life

Because you have to keep a positive attitude or else

You're just going to be whining through the whole thing and you're not going to get through it

You have to keep fighting and stay positive to eventually do what you love so

You have two choices either do nothing for the rest of your life, or work through the crappy stuff

To get to the stuff you love and are passionate about and there's today's daily thoughts wrapped up in one short video as always

Thank you guys so much for watching don't forget to share and subscribe and most importantly don't forget to keep fighting

4.20 Software Update - Duration: 4:52.

Hi! I'm Andrew, and I'm here to introduce you to our latest release of Volunteer

Impact, version 4.20. I'll go over the whole upgrade in more detail, but let's

start with some highlights. This upgrade includes a new feature in Volunteer

Impact, called "Better Impact Buddies. It's where users of our software who are

happy to offer their advice to peers, and share their knowledge about using Better

Impact software, and also to those seeking some peer-to-peer advice. Other

enhancements include; the ability to restore a draft of your email message, in

case you accidentally log out or get disconnected before sending your email.

Enhancements to the pin searches feature offering a greater flexibility in saving

and running your searches. Receive email notifications when volunteers confirm

their activity assignments. Include internal notes about your activities.

Enhancements to the volunteer interface, and the number of features and tweaks as

suggested by all of you. Let's have a look at the other enhancements you'll

find in this release. When composing an email the draft will be saved locally. If

for some reason you get logged out, or have to navigate to another screen, you

can retrieve the draft of your email when you log back on. Just go to the file

menu in the text editor for the body of your email, and select "restore last draft".

The ability to pin a search has been extended to the "send text message" menu

option. Additionally you can now pin a search directly within the saved search

option, eliminating the need for a second step. Managing your pin searches from the

home page is now easier, with the ability to sort searches, unpin, and delete the

associated saved search. In addition to your existing administrative email

notifications, administrators can now choose to receive an email notification

when their volunteers confirm their activity assignments. Within an activity,

administrators now have an internal notes field, where they can add

information about their activities that will only be visible to fellow

administrators. You can also update the internal notes in multiple activities

via the bulk activity update feature. Schedule reports can now be produced

that do not show any telephone or email information about the volunteers

assigned. Just select from the list of communications fields options to select

the level of detail you'd like to see in your schedule reports. When you add a

new non-administrative profile for a person that won't be logging on, you can

check a box and have Volunteer Impact create the user name and password for

you. The user name will be generated based on the person's email, or first and

last name where possible. A random password will also be assigned. In

addition to previewing your application forms, you can now see what the process

would look like to someone completing an application form on a mobile device. A

new button has been added, to enable you to see what it would look like to the

applicant. General interests can now be dragged and dropped to rearrange their

order. This new order will be applied to all places where they are listed. In a

profile on an application form, on an activity list signup page, and so on.

This will enable you to decide how you want your general interests to be placed.

You can use the view activities option to give your limited administrators

access to the manage activities page, where they can see the list of

activities and view their attributes, without being able to change them. For

those of you using more than just volunteer impact, when editing a person's

profile, you'll see a filter section at the top, to enable you to filter the

custom fields displayed in their profile, to focus on the ones related to a

specific module. Navigation is now easier with the introduction of the top of page

button in Volunteer Impact. As you scroll down in any page, you'll see this button

in the lower right corner, enabling you to navigate quickly, and easily to the

top of that page. That's it for your introduction to this release. Be sure to

check out your online help files for further details, on all these new

features and enhancements. And thank you for all the suggestions that help us, to

make our software better every day.

The Johnson Family's Isuzu Story - Duration: 1:56.

We're a family that work together We do trenching and irrigation

We trench pipelines power cables and anything that's

gotta go in to the ground we'll trench it in

We've got five utes and four sons

they seem to work it out themselves what vehicles theirs

and I always have the best one

*laughs* the newest one

The Isuzu dealer gave us a good deal to trade the old one in and

came home with the new one we changed from manual to automatic

in this one six speed automatic

and leather interiors and upgraded a little bit

they're also a nice looking vehicle they've done everything in proportion

Oh, no way the boys are having a drive of this

I gotta break it in for the first 80,000 km's

*laughs*

Got quite a lot more torque there

you can feel it when you put your foot down

I've never had an automatic before but this has just changed my ways

of thinking now Dash is really well laid out

and all the stuff on the steering wheel is very simple, very easy to operate

the NAV you just program it and away it goes

takes you exactly to where you are going absolutely brilliant

So, the good thing about the D-MAX is they've got a straight forward chassis

so to build a deck it's very easy you can just customise them

to how you want Space cab's great for

being able to just open up

I use the Single Cab it's got a good deck

space on the back for carrying all the tools

that we need for the job Tow diggers and trenchers

We're not easy on our vehicles never have been

Yeah, we get in to some pretty hairy places

this is a typical irrigation job we put in four years ago

and now the farm has been purchased to put

in kiwi fruit and now we are removing all the irrigation

which is a crazy bloody world

A lot of people have

come up to us at service stations and asked us how they go

and we'd said, man we'd swear by 'em.

Does Bipolar Disorder Make Me a Perfectionist? - Duration: 2:32.

Hey guys. It's Hannah.

Recently, I got called a perfectionist.

And this completely took me back because when I think of perfectionists,

I think of this one girl from high school, Morgan.

She got straight As, class president, was in clubs, made up clubs, into the top schools.

Always going further, further and further.

That's what I think when I hear perfectionism.

The thing about me is I struggled academically through school.

I'm someone who likes to embrace our flaws and think imperfect is the new perfect.

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and went to a mental hospital at 19.

So perfectionist isn't what I would really compare myself too.

But the person that told me this said that it was a bit extreme.

So when I really looked in-depth, I found that perfectionist means something very different

than what I thought.

You know, someone who refuses to accept anything below perfect.

And that sounds really familiar living with bipolar disorder.

I'm never content with anything.

Nothing is ever good enough.

It's not necessarily internal.

It's really external.

It's the things that I can control on the outside.

I was 19 when I received my diagnosis.

And I'm 27 now.

And recently I came out publicly about my diagnosis of bipolar 2 disorder.

I think that's caused me more extreme about being a perfectionist.

It's like triggered that.

Because I am trying to protect myself from appearing vulnerable to other people.

Because I'm aware that when they walk in my house or when they're around me,

they are probably aware of the fact that I have bipolar disorder.

And so I strive and I put this intense pressure on myself

to do everything beyond perfect.

And I'm really interested to hear what you have to say.

So please leave your comments down below

or do a response video.

I'll leave the information on where to send it below.

I can't wait to see you next week.

Bye.

Low Back Pain with Netflix Marathon Watching - Duration: 1:56.

Hi, Welcome back to Cedar City chiropractic. Today I'd like to talk about having proper low back support when you're hanging out at the house.

When you're up late watching Netflix and your low back starts to hurt

that's when you need to look at this YouTube video.

So, normally

with the spine,

you have these natural curves that go forward back forward and then back, okay?

So when we go to relax on the couch watching our Netflix,

'cause you know you do that, you want to support this low back because that's usually

what falls into the corner to couch along with your loose change you have in your pants.

So, we're gonna take Steve the Spine here.

So, again normally you have those good curves,

but most people they like to slouch when they're

on the couch. So they lean back their upper mid-back hits the couch and then this part

kind of falls into that corner like I was talking about. When you do that,

that puts extra stress on the spine 'cause it wasn't designed to be that way. So, quick life hack, easy fix...

get a pillow

right there that'll support that so you can still relax lean back, but now you have that pillow there to support it, so

if you don't have any pillows at home that you don't want to use,

then,

you can grab a towel, fold it in half, roll it up, put it right there, or use a second towel,

whatever works for you. This way your low back will be happier. You can do your Netflix marathon watching and

things will go a lot a lot easier a lot funner. So thanks for listening and watching

appreciate you like us

and share with your friends

Thanks. Have a great day!
