Hello and welcome to Fluufy Unicorn's Crochet Corner!
Today I show you how to crochet small wings for your baby Pegasus amigurumi
You start with 8 chain stitches
Make a ring by fastening the last chain to the first one with a sling stitch
In the next round do 8 single crochets
You are working in spirals, which means that you just keep on crocheting instead of starting each round with a chain and ending with a sling stitch
Keep on doing single crochets for the next two rounds, so you have done 3 x 8 single crochets in the end
So, this is the end / beginnning of the round.
See, I just keep on crocheting...
In the fourth round you do 2 single crochets,
Then you do 3 single crochets into the next stitch
and for a second time you do another 3 single crochets into the following stitch
when you have done your 2 times 3 single crochets into one, go on with 2 single crochets,
and end your round with a decrease.
I like to use the invisible decrease technique which is as follows:
Insert hook into the front loop of the first stitch, then into the front loop of the second stitch,
pull your yarn through those two loops, so you have 2 loops on your hook,
and pull your yarn through those two loops
start the next round with 4 single crochets
do 3 single crochets each into the next two stitches
do 3 single crochets
and end you round with an invisible decrease
Start the 6th round with 5 single crochets
do 3 single crochets each into the next two stitches
it follows 5 single crochets
and an invisible decrease
By the way, at the end of this round you should have 17 stitches
Start the next round with an invisible decrease
and then do 15 single crochets
Follow this same pattern again in the next round: do one decrease and apart from that do single crochets around
This times you have to do 14 single crochets
And once again start your round with an invisible decrease, then do 13 single crochets
At the end of this round you should have 14 single crochets left in your round
In the next round we change the pattern a bit.
This time you do [5 single crochets, decrease] 2 times
Ed up with 12 single crochets in your round
In the next round do [4 single crochets, decrease] 2 times
Come out with 10 stitches
In the next round do [3 single crochets, decrease] 2 times
End up with 8 stitches
In the next round do [2 single crochets, decrease] 2 times
End up with 6 stitches
And in the last round do [single crochet, decrease] 2 times
Cut yarn and sew up the end
To stabilize the wing you can insert pipe cleaner, if you like
Just form it in the same shape as your wing, cut the end
and put it into your wing instead of soft filling
Sew the wing to the back of your amigurumi
Make sure to pull it quite tight in order to have a neat sewing line
Do the other wing in the exact same way and sew it parallel to the first one onto the body
And finished is your winged unicorn or baby Pegasus amigurumi
Thanks fo watching!
