Youtube daily report Sep 25 2017

This season of the National Football League was ruined from the start of the preseason

and has only gotten progressively worse each weekend.

The American viewers' voices are louder than the message that millionaire players

are sending from the sidelines, as league ratings reach deeper lows with every National

Anthem protests while boycotts persist.

Now, it's come to people quitting their career as the ultimate way to really prove

what's important.

Those who are not offended or see the problem in the National Anthem protests should at

least be disgusted by the fact that these players are using them as puppets for their

social justice cause.

Just because these athletes earn multimillion-dollar paychecks to play a game, doesn't mean that

anyone should care what they have to say about politics, or think that they have some authority

to control what people think and do with a passive move like kneeling.

They are arrogant enough to think that they control more than what happens outside of

two endzones on a field.

People want to see a game, which is what these athletes are paid to do and since they can't

stick to the plan, people are bailing out of the industry altogether, including one

man who just walked out of his 30-year-career yesterday.

Those who do the paying, have the right to do the "saying" about what they want to

see.

Showing bad sportsmanship toward the country isn't something most spectators want a part

of.

Since the protests took a turn for the worst on Sunday, Erich Nikischer called it quits

on his team, the Buffalo Bills, who he dedicated the last 30 years of his life to.

Nickischer isn't just a Bills fan, he's a proud American first and bleeds more for

the red, white, and blue than he does the Bills.

After seeing what his favorite players did at the stadium where he's been an employee

of for three decades, he's decided to never come back and sent a big message in his exit.

11Alive reports:

Several Bills players knelt during the national anthem.

Others locked arms.

"I can't stand and support something where our leader of this country is just acting

like a jerk," LeSean McCoy said in a post-game press conference.

It was a show of solidarity for members of the NFL who believe President Trump's remarks

Friday evening toward players were divisive, but there were plenty of people –fans, players,

politicians–arguing both sides.

Stadium worker Erich Nikischer quit his job at New Era Field after almost 30 years.

"I waited until the National Anthem ended, I took off my shirt, threw my Bills hat on

the ground, walked out," Nikischer said in a sit-down interview with Channel 2 at

his West Seneca home.

Nikischer says he has no problem with players protesting before the National Anthem.

It's when the kneeling continued into the song that strong feelings took over.

"During the National Anthem…the song that is about our country, our veterans that fight

and die for us, it's just something I feel you shouldn't disrespect that way," he

said.

"I believe people have the right to protest; I just don't believe that's the proper

venue for it."

While some may argue that this man quitting what could be considered a remedial position

at a sports stadium, isn't something protesting players will care about; it shows that even

the most die-hard fans are done.

Without fans, teams can't afford to play players what they think they are worth.

It's amazing how fast a message can change when there's nobody there to see it.

Afterall, players are more focused on the attention they are getting for protesting,

then what they say they are protesting.

Nickischer didn't just take a stand for the anthem, our country, and those who have

fought to defend this nation – he was standing up for our president and is one of the first

to publicly do so.

Next to the patriotic message he sent in quitting his 30-year career dedicated to the NFL, he

delivered another important sentiment.

Our president asked for respect and didn't get it and it's time to start respecting

our leader in all matters of this country beyond sports.

Professional athletes are masters of attention and have found it in this disrespectful way.

If they were really concerned about making a difference, they have a lot of resources

at their fingertips to use their influence for positive.

Inner city kids and teens at risk of becoming statistics of the "system," who need role

models of how to be successful would be a great place to enact real change they will

be felt for decades.

Teaching them to be defiant by your example, does not.

One of the main problems with these protests is that they are perpetuating the divide despite

what entitled individuals say they are trying to accomplish with them.

America is about unity, one nation under God, and we can come together to honor that fact

despite our differences and at no disrespect to our nation.

Any grievances someone has with things happening in this country shouldn't be taken up in

this way or at a place that represents teamwork.

Flat Earth Stan B.o.B Launched a GoFundMe Page to 'Find The Curve' - Duration: 1:50.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

//// Every now and then a certain group of people known as "Flat Earthers" will breakthrough

mainstream media and let their ideology be heard.

While you might imagine these types of people to be recluse introverts but a lot of times

they're celebrities or sports stars.

The latest 'Flat Earther' to make headlines is Atlanta rapper B.o.B.

We haven't heard much from this flat earth theorist since January of 2016, when he unleashed

a thread of tweets that he claimed, proved the Earth was flat.

But while those tweets hilariously sparked a diss track from astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse

Tyson, they soon disappeared into the shadow of irrelevancy.

Now, B.o.B is sparking things back up again, starting a GoFundMe Page in order for him

to send a satellite into space and prove once and for all that the globe, is not a globe.

Flat Earth Bob

needs to find the curve, and he apparently needs 200k to do it.

So far 18 people have donated to the cause, raising a mere 235 dollars.

Some people are legit rooting for him, while others trolled him with 5 dollars just so

he could prove himself wrong.

One person even shared an image from Nasa to the page that proves the earth curve, but

based on B.o.B's video, it seems his curiosity is insatiable.

Other conspiracies the Airplane's artist backs are the 1969 moon landing being staged, 9/11

being an inside job, and the U.S. government cloning celebrities.

That's your news for now, for more of today's trending stories subscribe to Complex on YouTube.

For Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

B.o.B is taking his flat earth theory to the next level.

The Atlanta based rapper just started a GoFundMe page to raise money for him to send satellites

into space to prove the Earth is not round.

The first time we heard about B.o.B's interest in the flat earth theory was in January of

2016, when he sent out a series of tweets posing the question of Earth's circumference.

One of them read, "No matter how high in elevation you are… the horizon is always eye level

… sorry cadets…

I didn't wanna be it either,I'm going up against the greatest liars in history … you've been

tremendously deceived."

While his tweets hilariously sparked a diss track from astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson,

we never heard much more about B.o.B.'s progression about proving the theory right.

But now, the rapper is sparking things back up again with a GoFundMe page asking for 200

grand.

B.o.B. released a video saying 'I'm starting a GoFundMe because I would like to send one,

if not multiple, satellites as far into space as I can, or into orbit as I can, to find

the curve.

I'm looking for the curve.'

OUTRO: So far only 18 people have donated to the cause, raising a mere $235.

Other conspiracies B.o.B backs are the 1969 moon landing being staged, 9/11 being an inside

job, and the U.S. government cloning celebrities.

Johnny Asks Roxanne For a Date | Ghost Rider (2007) Movie Clip - Duration: 3:35.

I'll say one thing about the guy, he's got guts.

I mean, the other day I was watching this, like, sports show--

Stuart, can you please stop talking about Johnny Blaze already?

Yeah, that might be a little hard.

I made it!

- Pull over! - Do you want me to pull over?

- Drive. - Driving.

Come on, Roxie, I need to talk to you.

What's your name?

- What? - What's your name?

Oh, Stuart!

- Johnny. - Hi.

Well, Stuart, can you help me out here?

Sorry, dude. She's the boss.

Johnny, look out!

All right, I guess I see how it's gonna be. Hang on!

Howdy. Howdy, howdy, howdy.

Are you trying to kill yourself?

I wanna talk to you. I haven't seen you in 56,000 years.

This is crazy. You are crazy.

I don't have time for this, I have a story to edit.

You could have said no.

When they asked you to interview me, you could have said no.

- Move your van out of the way! - What are you trying to say?

Well, I'm not trying to say anything. I'm saying that means something.

- Sorry! - Don't mind them, they're fine.

We are on the side of the freeway.

Let's get some dinner. You still like Italian?

What's this about, Johnny? You want some closure?

Look, you were 17 and you witnessed a tragedy and you ran.

I understand now like I understood then...

...and I have no hard feelings, none.

That's why they call it the past, because it's passed. It's done, it's over with.

Too much?

There's a restaurant in my hotel, the Plaza. Eight o'clock.

Yes!

Don't be late.

This is a sign, Roxanne.

There are no accidents.

Destiny and all that.

Johnny! Johnny! Johnny!

- Can you please sign my sister's book? - Oh, sure.

- 300 feet. - We love you.

Well, thank you.

Three hundred feet. Pretty neat, pretty neat.

Right on, Johnny.

Moments In The 1990 It Movie That Are Scarier Than The Remake - Duration: 5:08.

There are a lot of reasons why Stephen King's It was ripe for revival on-screen in 2017.

It'd been 27 years since the last adaptation, which is a fateful number in the story.

Clowns are still pretty damn scary.

And, well, the 1990 TV miniseries simply couldn't capture the most terrifying elements of King's

bestseller under network restrictions and a small-screen budget.

The outdated special effects in particular have rendered certain portions of the original

It film laughable, instead of frightening.

Even so, there are certain scenes in the 1990 miniseries that still hold up — and are

actually even scarier than the new big-screen adaptation.

The moving pictures

The 2017 version of It includes a memorably terrifying sequence in which Pennywise comes

to life within a sinister slideshow, but the 1990 version of that moment is a bit eerier

in some respects.

Bill Denbrough is alone and still completely grief-stricken about his brother Georgie's

funeral when he first comes into contact with It.

He skims through a book of photos, when all of a sudden Georgie's most recent picture

winks at him...and starts oozing blood.

What's worse is that Bill's parents are more concerned about him not belonging in the room

than finding out what he saw — or more importantly, what they can't see.

It's nightmarish enough not to be believed or heard by your parents, but when they're

smearing invisible blood all over your murdered brother's room it's even worse.

Pennywise's page-bouncing also comes into play later on when the Losers look at Mike's

dad's photo album about Derry's many child-murder sprees, and the town square's carnival comes

to life with a certain dancing clown at the center.

If the slow burn of him coming into closer, full-color view isn't scary enough, the fact

that he then reaches through the page to grab at the Losers should keep you up at night.

Ben's father

The new version of It makes very little of Ben Hanscom's background, but the miniseries

introduces a gnawing element of the story that still works as a hair-raiser.

Early on, Ben is seen traipsing through the Barrens alone and sees his long-lost father

in full military dress, standing in the swamp and beckoning him into the sewer.

The 2017 movie offers its own share of Pennywise's dread-inducing impressions.

But the idea that Ben's dead dad would slowly morph into the clown like that is a kind of

creepy cruelty that's hard to forget.

Beverly's bathroom

The 2017 movie does a good job of depicting Beverly Marsh's infamous bloody bathroom — her

physical maturation is stoking fear in Beverly and others in her life.

But there's still something extraordinarily unsettling about the 1990 version.

It's slower, there are children's voices crying out to Beverly …

"I'm Matthew O'Connor.

We're all the dead kids."

And once the balloon of blood explodes all over the place, Mr. Marsh puts his hands right

into the gory mess, unable or unwilling to see what his kid sees.

So, it's a test of her squeamishness and sanity.

Eddie's shower

There's no denying that Eddie Kaspbrak's first encounter with It in the 2017 version is really

creepy.

But there's a certain emotional vulnerability that's lost in translation from the first.

In the first version, Eddie is being pinballed by the adults in his life — his mother has

told him not to shower at school, but his gym teacher absolutely insists he does.

Everyone else has already cleaned up by the time Coach wins the argument, which leaves

Eddie out to dry solo in the school showers — just as they start to come to life.

Mid-rinse, all the nozzles start operating themselves and turn every spout into a scalding

torture device meant to steer Eddie away from safety just before Pennywise pays him a visit

through the drain.

If Psycho didn't make you think twice about showering away from home, here's another scene

that'll creep into your memory at the worst moment.

Going clear

The kids' final stand against Pennywise in the new film is incredibly similar to what

goes down in the miniseries.

And both ignore the novel's very weird Ritual of Chüd in favor of a more old-fashioned

fight with It, and make their pact to come back together if and when It returns.

But despite all the faults to be found in the camerawork, props, and visual effects,

the 1990 version is still highly effective, thanks to some key fog machine work and the

attack on poor Stan.

While the Losers are trying to stay together, Pennywise already sees the weakest links in

their chain and tries to make a meal out of Stanley Uris.

It's a terrible preview of what's to come, and the fact that Pennywise is able to break

their chain certainly undermines their sense of strength in numbers.

"I am eternal child."

The meta element

One of the essential elements of the first movie is how informative pop-culture was to

the Losers' fear.

For example, within days of the group seeing I Was a Teenage Werewolf at the Paramount

theater, the group's most entertainment-oriented member, Richie Tozier, is chased through the

school's basement by a werewolf in a varsity jacket.

That scene speaks volumes about Stephen King's story and influences, as it derives from so

many other scares while also informing new nightmares all its own.

"They float, Georgie.

They float."
